क्षमा किए और भुलाए गए पापों का स्मरण – 6
इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में दी गई आरम्भिक बातों में से छठी बात, “अंतिम न्याय” के हमारे इस अध्ययन में, पिछले लेखों में हमने देखा है कि पाप का यह दूसरा प्रभाव, जब तक हम इस पापमय शरीर में हैं, हमारे लिए दुःख, परेशानी, परिश्रम को बनाए रखेगा; लेकिन इस में होकर भी परमेश्वर का कुछ उद्देश्य है। नया-जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासियों को इस बात का एहसास रखना चाहिए कि परमेश्वर का कोई भी काम बिना उद्देश्य के नहीं होता है। उसके लोगों के लिए, उसके नया-जन्म और उद्धार पाए हुए लोगों के लिए, परमेश्वर हर बात में से भलाई उत्पन्न करता है, उन बातों में से भी जो दुःख दायी, परेशान करने वाली, और समझ में न आने वाली प्रतीत होती हैं “और हम जानते हैं, कि जो लोग परमेश्वर से प्रेम रखते हैं, उन के लिये सब बातें मिलकर भलाई ही को उत्पन्न करती है; अर्थात उन्हीं के लिये जो उस की इच्छा के अनुसार बुलाए हुए हैं” (रोमियों 8:28)। अभी तक हम दो उद्देश्यों को देख चुके हैं; पहला, दुःख उठाना न केवल हमारे अन्दर निहित बुराई का न्याय किए जाने की भावना को कुछ संतुष्टि प्रदान करता है, वरन हमें शरीर की लालसाओं के अनुसार नहीं, बल्कि परमेश्वर की महिमा के लिए जीवन जीने के लिए तैयार करता है। दूसरा, कभी-कभी, दुःख उठाना व्यक्ति के लिए परमेश्वर की इच्छा में होता है; अपने उन लोगों के जीवनों के उदाहरणों के द्वारा परमेश्वर औरों को सिखाता है, उनके जीवनों में काम करता है। इसलिए, जब परमेश्वर ने पापी मनुष्य के लिए जीवन भर का दुःख, पीड़ा, और परिश्रम निर्धारित किया, तो यह केवल पाप करने का दण्ड देने के लिए नहीं था, वरन परमेश्वर ने एक ऐसी प्रक्रिया स्थापित की थी जो मनुष्य को परमेश्वर के निकट ले आएगी, और साथ में मनुष्यों को कुछ अन्य लाभ भी प्रदान करेगी। ये लाभ शारीरिक और साँसारिक भी होंगे, तथा स्वर्गीय और अनन्तकालीन भी, जैसा कि हम आज से देखना आरम्भ करेंगे। जब हम दुःखों और परीक्षाओं में से होकर निकलते हैं, तो उनके द्वारा परमेश्वर न केवल हमें रगड़ कर साफ करता और चमकाता है, बल्कि उन दुःखों में होकर हमारे लिए स्वर्गीय महिमा भी तैयार होती जाती है।
प्रभु यीशु ने दाखलता को उदाहरण बनाकर अपने शिष्यों को सिखाया “सच्ची दाखलता मैं हूं; और मेरा पिता किसान है। जो डाली मुझ में है, और नहीं फलती, उसे वह काट डालता है, और जो फलती है, उसे वह छांटता है ताकि और फले” (यूहन्ना 15:1-2)। यहाँ पर प्रभु कह रहा है कि ऋतु में जो डाली फल चुकी है, परमेश्वर उसे अगली ऋतु के लिए तैयार करता है कि वह और अधिक फले। वह इस काम को डाली की छँटाई करने के द्वारा करता है; अर्थात डाली के उन हिस्सों को काटकर निकाल देने के द्वारा जिनकी अब आवश्यकता नहीं है, बल्कि उनका होना, आते समय में वहाँ से और अधिक फल लाने में बाधा बनेगा। छँटाई करना कभी भी बिना दुःख दिए नहीं हो सकता है, छँटाई करना हमेशा ही पीड़ा देगा; किन्तु यदि यह न किया जाए, तो फिर अगली ऋतु में बहुतायत का फल भी नहीं आएगा, जैसा कि इब्रानियों 12:11 में लिखा है “और वर्तमान में हर प्रकार की ताड़ना आनन्द की नहीं, पर शोक ही की बात दिखाई पड़ती है, तौभी जो उसको सहते-सहते पक्के हो गए हैं, पीछे उन्हें चैन के साथ धर्म का प्रतिफल मिलता है।”
इस बात को समझने के लिए, परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में से कुछ और पदों को देखिए:
· भजन 119:67 “उस से पहिले कि मैं दु:खित हुआ, मैं भटकता था; परन्तु अब मैं तेरे वचन को मानता हूं।”
· भजन 119:71 “मुझे जो दु:ख हुआ वह मेरे लिये भला ही हुआ है, जिस से मैं तेरी विधियों को सीख सकूं।”
· भजन 119:75 “हे यहोवा, मैं जान गया कि तेरे नियम धर्ममय हैं, और तू ने अपने सच्चाई के अनुसार मुझे दु:ख दिया है।”
· 2 इतिहास 33:11-13 “तब यहोवा ने उन पर अश्शूर के सेनापतियों से चढ़ाई कराई, और ये मनश्शे को नकेल डाल कर, और पीतल की बेड़ियां से जकड़ कर, उसे बेबीलोन को ले गए। तब संकट में पड़ कर वह अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा को मानने लगा, और अपने पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर के सामने बहुत दीन हुआ, और उस से प्रार्थना की। तब उसने प्रसन्न हो कर उसकी विनती सुनी, और उसको यरूशलेम में पहुंचा कर उसका राज्य लौटा दिया। तब मनश्शे को निश्चय हो गया कि यहोवा ही परमेश्वर है।”
· यिर्मयाह 31:18-19 “निश्चय मैं ने एप्रैम को ये बातें कह कर विलाप करते सुना है कि तू ने मेरी ताड़ना की, और मेरी ताड़ना ऐसे बछड़े की सी हुई जो निकाला न गया हो; परन्तु अब तू मुझे फेर, तब मैं फिरूंगा, क्योंकि तू मेरा परमेश्वर है। भटक जाने के बाद मैं पछताया: और सिखाए जाने के बाद मैं ने छाती पीटी: पुराने पापों को स्मरण कर मैं लज्जित हुआ और मेरा मुंह काला हो गया।”
· होशे 6:1 “चलो, हम यहोवा की ओर फिरें; क्योंकि उसी ने फाड़ा, और वही चंगा भी करेगा; उसी ने मारा, और वही हमारे घावों पर पट्टी बान्धेगा।”
तो, इस प्रकार से हम समझ सकते हैं कि दुःख उठाना परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई एक ऐसी प्रक्रिया है जिस से हम अपनी कमियों को पहचानने पाते हैं, परमेश्वर के धैर्य तथा क्षमा का अनुभव करने पाते हैं, और जो उसपर भरोसा रख कर उसे समर्पित हो जाते हैं, वे चाहे कैसी भी पापमय और निकृष्ट स्थिति में क्यों न हों, उनके जीवन में परमेश्वर की चँगाई और बहाली को देखने पाते हैं। अगले लेख में हम देखेंगे कि किस प्रकार से दुःख उठाना न केवल हमें यह पहचानने में सहायता करता है कि हम परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित मार्ग पर हैं कि नहीं, वरन हमारे लिए, यहाँ इस पृथ्वी पर तथा स्वर्ग में, दोनों स्थानों पर बड़े प्रतिफल और महान आशीषें तैयार करता है।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

God’s Forgiveness and Justice – 14
Remembrance of Sin Forgiven and Forgotten - 6
In this study on “Eternal Judgement,” the sixth elementary principle in Hebrews 6:1-2, in the previous articles we have seen that the second effect of sin, i.e., life long suffering and toil while we are in this physical body with a sin nature, has some God given purposes in our lives. The Born-Again Christian Believers need to realize that no work of God is without a purpose. For His people, His saved, Born-Again children, God makes all things work for their benefit, even the painful, troubling, and seemingly non-understandable ones “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). We have already seen two purposes, firstly suffering not only pacifies our inherent sense of justice against those who do wrongs, but it also prepares us to forego living for the lusts of the flesh and start living for the glory of God. Secondly, suffering at times is in the will of God, and through the examples of His people who have suffered, God teaches and does works in the lives of others. So, when God allowed lifelong pain, suffering and toil for sinful man as a consequence for sin, it was not merely an act of retribution, but of creating a mechanism that would help man draw near to Him, and to also give man some other benefits, earthly as well as heavenly and eternal, as we will begin seeing today. As we pass through sufferings and trials, not only does God polish, and refine us through them, but they also work to bring eternal heavenly glories for us.
The Lord Jesus, using the grape vine as an example taught His disciples “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit” (John 15:1-2). Here the Lord says that the branch that has borne fruit in a season, God then prepares it to bring more fruit in the next season. He accomplishes this by pruning the branch, i.e., cutting away those parts of the branch that are no longer required, but would prevent that branch from bearing more fruit. No pruning can be pain-free, the process of being pruned will always cause pain; but unless this is done, the abundant fruiting in the next season will not happen, as it says in Hebrews 12:11 “Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”
Consider some verses from God’s Word the Bible, that further illustrate this:
· Psalm 119:67 “Before I was afflicted, I went astray; But now I keep Your word.”
· Psalm 119:71 “It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.”
· Psalm 119:75 “I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are right, And that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.”
· 2 Chronicles 33:11-13 “Therefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon. Now when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.” It was through afflictions that the evil King Manasseh repented, turned to the Lord and started serving Him. For us his life serves as an example of Lord’s long-suffering, forgiveness, and salvation to those who repent, no matter how evil they may be in their own eyes and the eyes of the world.
· Jeremiah 31:18-19 “I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself: 'You have chastised me, and I was chastised, Like an untrained bull; Restore me, and I will return, For You are the Lord my God. Surely, after my turning, I repented; And after I was instructed, I struck myself on the thigh; I was ashamed, yes, even humiliated, Because I bore the reproach of my youth.” The chastisement of Israel made it realize its wayward condition and led it to repentance.
· Hosea 6:1 “Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up.” Those of His people whom God afflicts, when they turn back to Him, He also restores and blesses
So, suffering in the will of God, is a God given mechanism of making us realize our short-comings, experience God’s forbearance and forgiveness, and Lord’s healing and restoration for those who trust in Him and submit to Him in whatever sinful and deplorable condition they are. In the next article we will see how sufferings not only help us to know if we are on God’s path, but also prepares great rewards and blessings for us, here on earth as well as in heaven.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
