भला होना – भाग 3 - बाइबल के अनुसार भला कौन है? - 1
सामान्यतः मनुष्य यह सोचता है कि भले काम करने के द्वारा, भला व्यवहार करने के द्वारा, लोगों में अपनी भलाई के कारण प्रसिद्धि और प्रशंसा का पात्र बनने के द्वारा, वह परमेश्वर को भी इसी प्रकार से प्रभावित कर लेगा, उसकी दृष्टि में भला हो जाएगा, उसे अपने पक्ष में कर लेगा, और उसे स्वीकार्य हो जाएगा। किन्तु मनुष्य की यह धारणा उसकी कल्पना मात्र ही है, यथार्थ के विपरीत आशा रखना है, उससे अधिक कुछ नहीं। हमने पिछले लेखों में परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में से देखा है कि, परमेश्वर के दृष्टिकोण से, उसके वचन की शिक्षाओं के अनुसार भला और परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य होने का निर्णय मनुष्यों के माप-दंडों के अनुसार नहीं, वरन परमेश्वर के वचन में दिए गए उसके अनन्तकाल के लिए स्थापित, अपरिवर्तनीय और अटल मानकों के अनुसार ही होगा। साथ ही हमने बाइबल से यह भी देखा है कि अपनी स्वाभाविक, अपरिवर्तित शारीरिक दशा में मनुष्य अपनी माँ के गर्भ में आने से लेकर अपनी मृत्यु तक पाप ही में रहता है, और अपनी पाप की उस दशा में परमेश्वर को अस्वीकार्य रहता है। पाप की इस दशा में रहते हुए मनुष्य अपने प्रयासों से ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं कर सकता है जो उसे धर्मी, पाप से शुद्ध, और परमेश्वर से संगति रखने योग्य, परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य बना सके। किन्तु साथ ही बाइबल यह भी दिखाती है कि उसकी सर्वोत्तम सृष्टि - मनुष्य की यह दशा, परमेश्वर को पसन्द नहीं है, वह मनुष्य से असीम प्रेम करता है, उसके साथ संगति रखना चाहता है, और संसार के प्रत्येक मनुष्य को उस स्थिति में लाना चाहता है, जिस में वह मनुष्य के साथ संगति रख सके। मनुष्य की वास्तविक दशा दिखाने के साथ ही, बाइबल यह भी बताती है कि वास्तव में भला कौन है।
बाइबल की समझने में कठिन बातों पर विचार करते समय हमें यह भी कभी नहीं भूलना चाहिए कि परमेश्वर सिद्ध, पवित्र, पक्षपात रहित, और खरा है, न्यायी है। उसकी बातों में, उसके न्याय में कोई पक्षपात, दोगलापन, या खोट नहीं है; चाहे उसकी बातें और न्याय हमारी समझ में आएं अथवा न आएं।
प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने ही यह भी बताया कि उनके अनुसार, अर्थात परमेश्वर के अनुसार भला कौन है: “यीशु ने उस से कहा, तू मुझे उत्तम क्यों कहता है? कोई उत्तम नहीं, केवल एक अर्थात परमेश्वर” (मरकुस 10:18)। प्रभु यीशु द्वारा कही गई इस बात में, मूल यूनानी भाषा के जिस शब्द का अनुवाद “उत्तम” किया गया है, उसका शब्दार्थ है good/भला और अंग्रेजी के अनुवादों में यहाँ पर “good” शब्द ही प्रयोग किया गया है।
परमेश्वर के वचन से प्राप्त होने वाली भले होने की इस परिभाषा से एक बात और निकलकर सामने आती है, इस परिभाषा में निहित है कि जो भी भला होगा, वह स्वतः ही परमेश्वर के तुल्य, या समान ठहरेगा। यह न केवल किसी भी मनुष्य के लिए, उसके किसी भी प्रयास के द्वारा बन पाना असंभव है, वरन मनुष्य की पापमय दशा से उसके भले न होने की बात की भी पुष्टि है, जिसे हमने पिछले लेख में देखा है। न केवल किसी भी मनुष्य का, अपने किसी भी प्रयास से, यह ‘भला’ होना असम्भव है, वरन, जैसा हमने पिछले लेखों में देखा है, यह इस बात की भी पुष्टि है कि अपने पापों की दशा में, कोई भी मनुष्य कभी भी भला हो ही नहीं सकता है। ऐसा नहीं है कि परमेश्वर एक असम्भवता को मनुष्य के सामने रख कर परमेश्वर मनुष्यों को निराश कर रहा। बल्कि परमेश्वर इस के द्वारा मनुष्य के प्रति अपने प्रेम की, और उसके साथ संगति रखने की गहरी लालसा की पुष्टि कर रहा है। जो मनुष्य के लिये असम्भव है, वह परमेश्वर के लिये सम्भव है (लूका 18:27)। परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन बाइबल में दिखाया है कि जो प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास लाते हैं, उसे अपना उद्धारकर्ता और प्रभु स्वीकार कर लेते हैं, उन्हें परमेश्वर पवित्रआत्मा अंश-अंश करके प्रभु यीशु की समानता में बदलने लग जाता है (2 कुरिन्थियों 3:18), ताकि विश्वास में आने के द्वारा परमेश्वर की सन्तान (यूहन्ना 1:12-13) बनने वाले सभी लोग, अर्थात प्रभु के सभी विश्वासी, मसीह के संगी वारिस बन जाएँ और प्रभु के सात और समान महिमा पाएँ (रोमियों 8:14-17)। दूसरे शब्दों में, यद्यपि हम अभी ‘भले’ नहीं हैं, और न ही अपने किसी भी प्रयास से हो सकते हैं, परन्तु परमेश्वर ने हमें इस असहाय और घोर निराशाजनक स्थिति में छोड़ नहीं दिया है। उसने हमारे लिये एक ऐसा मार्ग बनाया और हमें उपलब्ध करवाया है कि हम अपनी इस पापी दशा से छुड़ाए जाएँ और प्रभु के समान ‘भले’ बन जाएँ, यदि हम परमेश्वर द्वारा दिये गये समस्या के समाधान को स्वीकार करने के लिये तैयार हैं तो। अगले लेख में हम इसी विचार से संबंधित बात – परमेश्वर की आज्ञाओं का पालन और भला होने के बारे में देखेंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Being Good – Part 3 - Who is good according to the Bible? – 1
Generally, people think that by doing good deeds, through good behavior, because of their being praised, appreciated, and being honored by others for their goodness, they will also similarly impress God, become good in His eyes, get His favors, and make themselves acceptable to Him. But this is nothing more than man’s imagination, his hoping against hope for the impossible. We've seen in the preceding articles, from God's Word, the Bible, that from God's point of view, the decision of what is good and acceptable to God is only according to the teachings of His eternal, established, and unchanging standards given in His unchanging, unalterable Word, the Bible; not according to the standards of man. At the same time, as we have also seen from the Bible, every person in his natural, unregenerate physical condition is in sin from the time of his conception in his mother's womb, until his death; and because of that state of his sin, he remains unacceptable to God. Because of this inherent, indwelling state of sin, there is nothing man can do by his own efforts to make himself righteous, cleansed of sin, and worthy of fellowship with God, acceptable to God. The Bible also shows that God does not like this condition of man - His best creation; He loves man immeasurably, wants man to be in fellowship with Him, and wants to bring every person on earth into a state in which he can be in fellowship with God. The Bible, besides showing the true condition of man, also reveals who actually is good.
As an aside, before proceeding further, we need to always bear in mind that when considering things difficult to understand in the Bible, we should never forget that God is perfect, holy, non-partisan, upright, and just. There is no partiality, hypocrisy, or error in what He says, nor in his justice; whether or not we are able to understand His words, instructions, and His justice.
The Lord Jesus Christ has said who is good according to Him, i.e., according to God: “So Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God." (Mark 10:18). Another thing apparent from this definition of good given in God's Word, is that implied in this definition by the Lord Jesus is the fact that whoever is good, will automatically be God, or equal to God. Not only is this impossible for any person to be, despite any of his efforts, but it is also an affirmation of man's inability to be good due to his sinful condition, as we have seen in the previous article. God is not placing an impossibility before man to discourage him; but is affirming His love and His desire for fellowship with man. What is impossible for man, is possible for God (Luke 18:27). God has shown in His Word the Bible, that those who come to faith in the Lord Jesus, accept the Lord Jesus as their savior and Lord, God the Holy Spirit starts converting them bit by bit into the likeness of the Lord Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:18), so that eventually the children of God by faith (John 1:12-13), the Lord’s Believers, will be joint heirs with Christ and be glorified with Him (Romans 8:14-17). In other words, though we are not ‘good’ now, nor can ever be through our own efforts of any kind, but God has not left us helpless and hopeless in this state, but has created and given us the way to be delivered and become ‘good’ become like the Lord Jesus, if we are willing to accept God’s solution to the problem. In the next article, we will consider another related thing – obeying God’s commandments and being good.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
