परमेश्वर ने हमें बाइबल क्यों दी? यहूदियों के पास, परमेश्वर द्वारा मूसा में होकर दिया गया उसका वचन था, जिसे आज हम मसीही विश्वासी “पुराना नियम” के नाम से जानते हैं। परमेश्वर द्वारा नैतिकता, धार्मिकता, धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों, पर्वों, और विधियों के पालन का पुराने नियम में वर्णन दिया गया है। तो फिर उसके साथ नया नियम जोड़कर यह 66 पुस्तकों का संकलन, बाइबल, क्यों प्रदान की गई?
जैसा पहले के लेख में कहा गया है, सम्पूर्ण पुराना नियम, प्रभु यीशु मसीह के विभिन्न पहलुओं और बातों की भविष्यवाणी है। पुराना नियम संसार के लोगों को प्रभु के आने और उन भविष्यवाणियों, उस से संबंधित बातों को पूरा करने, तथा लोगों द्वारा उसे स्वीकार करने के लिए तैयार करता है। बिना नए नियम के, बिना प्रभु यीशु मसीह में होकर पुराने नियम की बातों की परिपूर्णता के, पुराने नियम का उद्देश्य अधूरा है, अपूर्ण है। पुराना और नया नियम, एक ही सिक्के दो पहलू हैं, एक की अनुपस्थिति से सिक्का अधूरा है, अस्वीकार्य है। परमेश्वर ने प्रभु यीशु मसीह को इस संसार में भेजकर और उसमें अपने द्वारा कही गई बातों को पूरा करवाने के द्वारा, अपने आप को, अपने वचन को, प्रभु यीशु मसीह को, और बाइबल की शिक्षाओं को प्रमाणित कर दिया है, सत्यापित कर दिया है। अब अपने जीवनों और परमेश्वर के साथ हमारे संबंधों के विषय जानने के लिए हमें कहीं और भटकने या हाथ-पैर मारने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। बाइबल में हमें सारा विवरण और मार्गदर्शन उपलब्ध है।
बाइबल हम मनुष्यों के लिए, जीवन व्यतीत करने और परलोक के लिए तैयार होने की, परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई मार्गदर्शक पुस्तिका है। यह हमें हमारे भूत, वर्तमान, और भविष्य के बारे में बताती, सिखाती, और चिताती है; और सभी परिस्थितियों का सामना करने के लिए तैयार करती है। बाइबल के कुछ पदों पर ध्यान कीजिए:
जीवन और भक्ति से संबंधित जो कुछ भी हमें आवश्यक है, वह सब हमें प्रभु यीशु मसीह की पहचान में, जो बाइबल में दी गई है, उपलब्ध करवाया गया है: “क्योंकि उसके ईश्वरीय सामर्थ्य ने सब कुछ जो जीवन और भक्ति से सम्बन्ध रखता है, हमें उसी की पहचान के द्वारा दिया है, जिसने हमें अपनी ही महिमा और सद्गुण के अनुसार बुलाया है” (2 पतरस 1:3)।
परमेश्वर ने ठहराया है कि उसके वचन के पालन के द्वारा हमारी भलाई हो, हम आशीषित हों, हमारे कार्य सफल हों: “भला होता कि उनका मन सदैव ऐसा ही बना रहे, कि वे मेरा भय मानते हुए मेरी सब आज्ञाओं पर चलते रहें, जिस से उनकी और उनके वंश की सदैव भलाई होती रहे!” (व्यवस्थाविवरण 5:29)। “इतना हो कि तू हियाव बान्धकर और बहुत दृढ़ हो कर जो व्यवस्था मेरे दास मूसा ने तुझे दी है उन सब के अनुसार करने में चौकसी करना; और उस से न तो दाहिने मुड़ना और न बाएं, तब जहां जहां तू जाएगा वहां वहां तेरा काम सफल होगा। व्यवस्था की यह पुस्तक तेरे चित्त से कभी न उतरने पाए, इसी में दिन रात ध्यान दिए रहना, इसलिये कि जो कुछ उस में लिखा है उसके अनुसार करने की तू चौकसी करे; क्योंकि ऐसा ही करने से तेरे सब काम सफल होंगे, और तू प्रभावशाली होगा” (यहोशू 1:7-8)।
परमेश्वर के वचन, बाइबल की शिक्षाओं को अपने हृदय में बसाए रखने से हम पाप करने से बचे रहते हैं: “जवान अपनी चाल को किस उपाय से शुद्ध रखे? तेरे वचन के अनुसार सावधान रहने से। मैं ने तेरे वचन को अपने हृदय में रख छोड़ा है, कि तेरे विरुद्ध पाप न करूं” (भजन संहिता 119:9, 11)।
जो परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल की बातों को थामे रहते हैं, वे परमेश्वर के द्वारा संसार पर आने वाली सभी विपत्तियों और हानियों से सुरक्षित रखे जाते हैं: “तू ने मेरे धीरज के वचन को थामा है, इसलिये मैं भी तुझे परीक्षा के उस समय बचा रखूंगा, जो पृथ्वी पर रहने वालों के परखने के लिये सारे संसार पर आने वाला है” (प्रकाशितवाक्य 3:10)।
बाइबल में दी गई भविष्यवाणियों के अनुसार, हम संसार के अंत के दिनों में जी रहे हैं; शीघ्र ही संसार का हर व्यक्ति अपने जीवन का हिसाब देने और अपने किए के अनुसार न्याय पाने के लिए प्रभु यीशु मसीह के समक्ष उपस्थित होगा: “इसलिये परमेश्वर अज्ञानता के समयों में आनाकानी कर के, अब हर जगह सब मनुष्यों को मन फिराने की आज्ञा देता है। क्योंकि उसने एक दिन ठहराया है, जिस में वह उस मनुष्य के द्वारा धर्म से जगत का न्याय करेगा, जिसे उसने ठहराया है और उसे मरे हुओं में से जिलाकर, यह बात सब पर प्रमाणित कर दी है” (प्रेरितों के काम 17:30-31)। वर्तमान संसार के हालात, सभी स्थानों पर होने वाली तथा बढ़ती जाने वाली प्राकृतिक आपदाएं, विश्व-व्यापी बीमारियाँ, स्थान-स्थान पर हो रहे कलह-क्लेश, युद्ध, सामाजिक अव्यवस्था, आदि सभी प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा दिए गए अंत के दिनों के चिह्नों (मत्ती 24 अध्याय) की पूर्ति हैं। इन परिस्थितियों में हमारा मार्गदर्शन करने और इनमें से सुरक्षित पार निकालने के लिए सभी को बाइबल की आवश्यकता है।
परमेश्वर ने विपदाओं से बचने का साधन हमें उपलब्ध कर दिया है। प्रभु यीशु मसीह में विश्वास करने और अपना जीवन स्वेच्छा से उसे समर्पित करने के द्वारा हम परमेश्वर के इस अमूल्य, अद्भुत, अनुपम साधन का सदुपयोग करने का मार्गदर्शन और सामर्थ्य भी प्राप्त कर लेते हैं। अब परमेश्वर के इस अनुग्रह को स्वीकार करना, और उसका लाभ उठाना, या उसका तिरस्कार करके अपने ही विनाशकारी मार्गों में बने रहना, यह प्रत्येक का व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। जो बाइबल को परमेश्वर का वचन मानकर उसकी बातों का पालन करेगा; बाइबल के केन्द्रीय पात्र, प्रभु यीशु मसीह को उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करके उसके निर्देशों के अनुसार जीवन व्यतीत करेगा, वह आशीषों के साथ सुरक्षित परलोक में प्रवेश प्राप्त करेगा, अनन्त विनाश से बच जाएगा।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

It’s Necessity
Why did God give us the Bible? The Jews had God's Word through Moses, we Christians today know it as the "Old Testament." Since God's instructions regarding the observance of morality, righteousness, religious ceremonies, festivals, and ordinances etc. are already described in the Old Testament. Then why was the “New Testament” added to it to make this into this 66-book compilation, we have as the Bible?
As stated in an earlier article, the entire Old Testament is a prophecy or fore-telling of various aspects and things of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Old Testament prepares the people of the world for the coming of the Lord, the fulfillment of those prophecies, the things concerning Him, and the people being prepared for the acceptance of the Lord. Without the New Testament, without the fulfillment of the things of the Old Testament in the Lord Jesus Christ, the purpose of the Old Testament is incomplete and unfulfilled. The Old and the New Testament are two sides of the same coin, the absence of one, makes the coin incomplete, and unworthy of use. God has proven Himself, His Word, His Savior of the world, and the teachings of the Bible, by sending the Lord Jesus Christ into this world and fulfilling the things He said in it. There is no longer any necessity to search here or there, or to run from pillar to post to learn about conducting our lives and living in a relationship with God. We have all the details and guidance available in the Bible for these things.
The Bible is the God-given guidebook for us humans to live in the present, and to prepare for the hereafter. It tells, teaches, and warns us about our past, present, and future; And prepares us to face all situations. Consider some Bible verses:
Everything we need regarding life and godliness has been made available to us in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, given in the Bible: “as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue" (2 Peter 1:3).
God has ordained that through obedience to His word we may be blessed, that our lives may be successful: “Oh, that they had such a heart in them that they would fear Me and always keep all My commandments, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!” (Deuteronomy 5:29). “Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Joshua 1:7-8).
By keeping the teachings of God's Word, the Bible in our hearts, we are kept safe from sinning: “9 How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You!" (Psalm 119:9, 11).
Those who hold onto the Words of God, to what the Bible says are protected by God from all calamity and harm that comes upon the world: “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth” (Revelation 3:10).
According to the prophecies in the Bible, we are living in the last days of the world. Very soon everyone in the world will have to appear before the Lord Jesus Christ to give an account of his life and to be judged according to what he has done: “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead” (Acts 17:30-31). The current world situation, natural disasters that are occurring and increasing everywhere, diseases worldwide, strife from place to place, war, social disorder, etc. are all signs of the last days given by the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matthew 24 chapters). To guide us through these situations and get through them safely, we all need the guidance of the Bible.
God has provided us with the means to escape from the coming calamities. By believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and voluntarily submitting our lives to Him, we also gain the guidance and ability to make good use of this priceless, wonderful, unique resource of God, He has placed in our hands. Now it is everyone's personal decision to accept this grace of God, and to take advantage of it, or to reject it and continue in our own destructive ways. Those who will accept and obey the Bible as the Word of God; Accept the Lord Jesus Christ, the central figure of the Bible, as their Savior and will live according to His instructions, they will be blessed with a safe entry into the hereafter, and will be saved from eternal destruction.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
