पवित्र आत्मा के वरदान – 3

 

पिछले लेख में हमने 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:7-11 में दिए गए आत्मिक वरदानों को देखना आरंभ किया था। यहाँ दिए गए 9 विभिन्न वरदानों: “बुद्धि का बातें”; “ज्ञान की बातें”; “विश्वास”; “चंगा करने का वरदान”; “सामर्थ्य के काम करने की शक्ति”; “भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति”; “आत्माओं की परख”; “अनेक प्रकार की भाषा”; “भाषाओं का अर्थ बताना” में से हमने पहले पाँच के बारे में देखा था। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि पवित्र आत्मा के सभी वरदान किसी के निज प्रयोग अथवा लाभ के लिए नहीं हैं, वरन, सभी के लिए और मसीही विश्वासियों की मण्डली की उन्नति और लाभ के लिए हैं। जिसे भी उसकी सेवकाई के लिए जो भी वरदान परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रदान किया है, उसे वह वरदान पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, सभी मसीही विश्वासियों के लाभ के लिए प्रयोग करना है, अपने लिए नहीं। आज हम शेष चार में से दो वरदानों के बारे में कुछ विवरण देखेंगे:

• “भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति”: मूल यूनानी भाषा के जिस शब्द का अनुवाद “भविष्यवाणी” किया गया है, उसका शब्दार्थ न केवल भविष्य की बातें बताना होता है; वरन प्रेरणा पाकर औरों के सामने, या औरों की उपस्थिति में बोलना या बताना भी होता है। 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:3 में इसी शब्द को, केवल भविष्य की बातें ही नहीं, वरन “”... मनुष्यों से उन्नति, और उपदेश, और शान्ति की बातें” कहने के लिए भी प्रयोग किया गया है; अर्थात् “भविष्यवाणी” करने का तात्पर्य औरों की उन्नति में सहायता करना, उन्हें उपदेश देना, और शान्ति या सांत्वना प्रदान करना भी हो सकता है। इसी प्रकार से लूका 22:64 में, जब पकड़वाए जाने के बाद सैनिकों द्वारा प्रभु का उपहास किया जा रहा था, तब इसी शब्द का उपयोग वर्तमान में जारी घटना में “बूझने” या “पता लगाकर बताने” के लिए भी हुआ है, “और उस की आंखें ढांपकर उस से पूछा, कि भविष्यद्वाणी कर के बता कि तुझे किसने मारा”। इसी प्रकार से इस शब्द को बाइबल में विभिन्न स्थानों में उसके भिन्न अर्थों के साथ उपयोग किया गया है। पवित्र आत्मा न केवल कुछ लोगों को भविष्य की बातें बताने की सामर्थ्य देता है (प्रेरितों 21:9-11), वरन कुछ लोगों को परमेश्वर की बातें औरों के सामने या औरों की उपस्थिति में बोलने की भी सामर्थ्य देता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:4,5; 13:9; 14:3-5, 24, 31, 39; प्रकाशितवाक्य 11:3), और इन सभी स्थानों पर, यही शब्द उपयोग किया गया है। इसलिए “भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति” केवल भविष्य में होने वाली घटनाओं को बताने का वरदान नहीं है, वरन परमेश्वर का प्रतिनिधि बनकर परमेश्वर के वचन को औरों के सामने बोलने और प्रचार करने का वरदान भी है। 

• “आत्माओं की परख”: पहली कलीसिया की स्थापना, और प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा सुसमाचार प्रचार के आरंभ होने के साथ ही शैतान की ओर से झूठे प्रचारकों ने भी अपना काम करना आरंभ कर दिया (1 यूहन्ना 2:18; 4:1)। प्रभु यीशु के नाम से प्रचार को कमाई का साधन बना कर प्रयोग करने वाले (रोमियों 16:18; फिलिप्पियों 3:18, 19), और गलत शिक्षाओं के देने वाले (2 कुरिन्थियों 4:2; 2 पतरस 2:1; 2 यूहन्ना 1:7) भी मण्डलियों और लोगों में फैलने लगे, और इन बातों तथा अपने ऐसे ही अन्य कार्यों के द्वारा लोगों को बहकाने लगे, गलत शिक्षाओं और अनुचित बातों में पथ-भ्रष्ट करने लगे थे। उस समय में, जब आज के समान लिखित वचन लोगों के हाथ में नहीं था, अधिकांशतः मसीही जीवन की शिक्षाएं, सुसमाचार प्रचार, और प्रभु की बातों का प्रसार, मौखिक प्रचार और संबोधनों के द्वारा होता था। ऐसे में, इन शैतान के लोगों के झूठ और गलत शिक्षाओं को तुरंत ही परखने, पहचानने, और प्रकट करने के लिए, वचन को जानने, जाँचने, और सच को उजागर करने की शक्ति पवित्र आत्मा लोगों को देता था, जिससे वे झूठ को प्रकट कर के लोगों को गलत शिक्षाओं से बचा सकें (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29)। यह कार्य आज भी पवित्र आत्मा की सामर्थ्य से कुछ लोग विभिन्न तरीकों से करते रहते हैं, अन्यथा गलत शिक्षाओं की भरमार में मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए सत्य की पहचान करना बहुत कठिन हो जाएगा। 

 

हम 2 कुरिन्थियों 12:7-11 में उल्लेखित वरदानों में से शेष दो, जो “अन्य-भाषा” से सम्बन्धित हैं – अन्य-भाषा बोलना और अन्य-भाषा का अर्थ बताना को अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके और प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit – 3

 

From the previous article we had started to see about the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11. Of the 9 different gifts, “word of wisdom,” “word of knowledge,” “faith,” “healing,” “miracles,” “prophecy,” “discerning of spirits,” “different kinds of tongues,” and “interpretation of tongues” mentioned in these 5 verses, we had seen about the first 5. We had also seen that none of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for any person’s personal use or benefit; rather, all the gifts are meant for the help and benefit of everyone in the Church. Whichever gift anyone has received for their God assigned work and ministry, he has to use that gift under the guidance of God the Holy Spirit, for the benefit of the Christian Believers, not for himself alone. Today we will see about two from the remaining four gifts:

• “Prophecy”: The word used in the original Greek language, that has been has translated as “prophecy” means “to speak forth” - not only in time, i.e., tell about future events or things; but also to be inspired to speak before, or in the presence of others, or tell others. The same word has been used in 1 Corinthians 14:3 “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men” to convey that to prophecy also means to edify, exhort, and comfort others; and not only to tell about future things. Similarly, in Luke 22:64, when the soldiers were mocking the Lord Jesus caught for crucifixion, the same word has been used "Prophesy! Who is the one who struck You?" with the meaning of telling about an ongoing event. At other places too, in the Bible, this word has been used in its various meanings. The Holy Spirit not only gives the power to tell about the future events to some people (Acts 21:9-11), but also gives the power and ability to speak the things of God before, i.e., while in presence of others (1 Corinthians 11:4,5; 13:9; 14:3-5, 24, 31, 39; Revelation 11:3), and for all these, the same word has been used. So, the gift of “prophecy” is not just the gift of foretelling events, but also the gift of speaking and preaching God’s Word as the spokesman of God, before others.

• “Discerning of spirits”: Along with the establishing of the first Church, and the beginning of the preaching of the gospel by the Lord’s disciples at various places, false preachers and teachers from Satan too started their work (1 John 2:18; 4:1). Those who preach wrong doctrines and false teachings started to grow and spread (2 Corinthians 4:2; 2 Peter 2:1; 2 John 1:7), and people started to use the name of the Lord Jesus and preaching in His name as a means of earning money (Romans 16:18; Philippians 3:18, 19), and through all these and other similar things started to mislead and beguile people into wrong ways. At that time, when, unlike today, the people did not have the written Word in their hands, and usually all preaching about Christian Living, preaching the Gospel, and spreading the teachings of the Lord was done through oral preaching and addressing people. In such a situation, the Holy Spirit gave the ability to some people to immediately recognize the lies and false teachings of Satan and expose them to others. The Holy Spirit also gave the power and ability to know, examine, and teach God’s Word and to expose the false teachings, so that they could expose the lies and save others from wrong teachings and false doctrines (1 Corinthians 14:29). This work is done even today by some people under the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit; else in the rampant spread of the wrong doctrines and false teachings amongst Christian Believers today, it would become very difficult to discern the truth.

 

In the next article we will consider the remaining two gifts mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, related to “tongues” – speaking in tongues and interpreting tongues.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Voluntarily repent of your sins and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrender yourself to Him - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

अविश्वास अपेक्षित

पिछले कुछ लेखों में हमने देखा है कि परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल की पुस्तकों में परमेश्वर ने हजारों वर्ष पहले अनेकों प्रकार का वैज्ञानिक ज्ञान लिखवा दिया था; और वर्तमान में विज्ञान उन्हीं बातों को अपनी ही खोज और आविष्कारों के द्वारा उजागर कर रहा है। बाइबल के ज्ञाता दिखाते रहते हैं कि ये बातें परमेश्वर ने पहले से ही साधारण, सामान्यतः अशिक्षित, तथा अवैज्ञानिक मनुष्यों की समझ में आने वाली भाषा में लिखवा दी थीं। 

साथ ही परमेश्वर ने यह भी लिखवा दिया था कि लोग बाइबल की बातों को अस्वीकार करेंगे, उन पर अविश्वास करेंगे; इस संदर्भ में बाइबल के कुछ पद देखिए:

• 2 पतरस 3:3-4 और यह पहिले जान लो, कि अन्‍तिम दिनों में हंसी ठट्ठा करने वाले आएंगे, जो अपनी ही अभिलाषाओं के अनुसार चलेंगे। और कहेंगे, उसके आने की प्रतिज्ञा कहां गई? क्योंकि जब से बाप-दादे सो गए हैं, सब कुछ वैसा ही है, जैसा सृष्‍टि के आरम्भ से था?

• यहूदा 1:17-19 पर हे प्रियो, तुम उन बातों को स्मरण रखो; जो हमारे प्रभु यीशु मसीह के प्रेरित पहिले कह चुके हैं। वे तुम से कहा करते थे, कि पिछले दिनों में ऐसे ठट्ठा करने वाले होंगे, जो अपनी अभक्ति के अभिलाषाओं के अनुसार चलेंगे। ये तो वे हैं, जो फूट डालते हैं; ये शारीरिक लोग हैं, जिन में आत्मा नहीं।

न केवल परमेश्वर ने इस अविश्वास और उपेक्षा किए जाने के बारे में लिखवाया, वरन वो बातें भी लिखवा दीं जिनको लेकर अविश्वासी लोग उपहास करेंगे। इन बातों में से एक, ऊपर पतरस वाले पदों में दी गई है, प्रभु यीशु मसीह का दूसरा आगमन - जिसके विषय मसीही विश्वासियों में बहुत प्रत्याशा है, किन्तु अविश्वासियों में बहुत संशय और उपहास किया जाता है। इसी प्रकार दो अन्य उदाहरण है बाइबल में दिया गया पृथ्वी की रचना का वर्णन और नूह के समय में मनुष्यों में पाप के अत्यधिक बढ़ जाने से आए विश्व-व्यापी जल प्रलय और पापी मनुष्यों के विनाश का वृतांत। पतरस ने अपनी पत्री में लिखा: “वे तो जान बूझ कर यह भूल गए, कि परमेश्वर के वचन के द्वारा से आकाश प्राचीन काल से वर्तमान है और पृथ्वी भी जल में से बनी और जल में स्थिर है। इन्‍हीं के द्वारा उस युग का जगत जल में डूब कर नाश हो गया” (2 पतरस 3:5-6); और फिर सचेत किया कि जैसे नूह के समय में अविश्वासी और पापी जन जल के द्वारा नाश की गए थे, वैसे ही इस युग में पापी संसार और पापी मनुष्य आग के द्वारा भस्म किए जाएंगे “पर वर्तमान काल के आकाश और पृथ्वी उसी वचन के द्वारा इसलिये रखे हैं, कि जलाए जाएं; और वह भक्तिहीन मनुष्यों के न्याय और नाश होने के दिन तक ऐसे ही रखे रहेंगे” (2 पतरस 3:7)। 

पिछले कुछ समय से हम देखते चले आ रहे हैं कि परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल को बदनाम करने और झूठा प्रमाणित करने के प्रयास तो बहुत किए गए, किन्तु बाइबल को गलत या झूठा कोई नहीं प्रमाणित कर सका। वरन इस प्रयास में, स्वयं के द्वारा बाइबल के पक्ष में खोजे गये प्रमाणों के कारण, कई अविश्वासी प्रभु यीशु मसीह के उत्साही और प्रतिबद्ध अनुयायी एवं विश्वासी बन गये। हमने यह भी देखा है कि बाइबल में ही उसके परमेश्वर का अटल और शाश्वत सत्य वचन होने के प्रमाण विद्यमान हैं। आगे भी हम कई और प्रकार के वैज्ञानिक तथ्यों की बाइबल में उपस्थिति, उनके मनुष्यों को ज्ञात होने से भी हजारों वर्ष पहले वहाँ लिखे जाने के संदर्भ में देखेंगे; अगले लेख में हम इसी विश्व-व्यापी जल-प्रलय और जीवाश्मों से सम्बन्धित कुछ बातों को देखेंगे।

अभी तक हमने जो कुछ देखा है, उसके आधार पर, उस महान, प्रेमी सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर के प्रति आज आपका विचार और निर्णय क्या है? क्या आप स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ की गई एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु, मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लेकर पापी संसार और पापी मनुष्यों पर आने वाले न्याय और भयानक विनाश से बचा लें” के द्वारा अपने पृथ्वी के शेष जीवन तथा अनन्तकाल को सुरक्षित करेंगे? साधारण विश्वास की इस प्रार्थना और समर्पण को अवसर देकर देखिए - आप निराश नहीं होंगे।

Skepticism Predicted

Over the past few articles we have been seeing that God, thousands of years ago, had got written in the books of His Word the Bible, many things of scientific importance, which scientists and science are presently learning and realizing through their own discoveries and inventions. Biblical scholars continue to show that what science is saying today, God had already written those things through ordinary, often uneducated men, and those without any knowledge of science, in a simple language that would be understandable to ordinary people of those times.

At the same time, God had also got it written beforehand that people would reject and disbelieve the words of the Bible. See some Bible verses in this context:

• 2 Peter 3:3-4 “knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”

• Jude 1:17-19 “But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.”

Not only did God get written about this unbelief and willful neglect,  but He also had written the very things that would be ridiculed by unbelievers. One of them is stated in the quote from Peter above — the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ — of which there is great anticipation among Christians, but much unbelief and ridicule among unbelievers. Two other similar examples are the Biblical description of the creation of the earth and the account of the worldwide flood for the destruction of sinful people, which happened in Noah's time because of the great increase in sin amongst mankind. Peter wrote in his letter: “For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water” (2 Peter 3:5-6); And then cautioned that just as unbelievers and sinners were destroyed by water in the time of Noah, so in this age the sinful world and the sinful mankind will be consumed by fire “But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men” (2 Peter 3:7).

For the past sometime, we have been seeing that many attempts have been made to discredit and prove the Bible as false, but to date none has been able to prove the Bible to be false or wrong. Rather, in attempting to do so, many unbelievers, because of the proofs they discovered in favor of the Bible, came to faith in the Lord Jesus and became His ardent and committed followers. We have also seen that in the Bible itself there is enough evidence of it being the infallible, eternal, and verifiably true Word of God. In the days ahead, we will see the presence of many more kinds of scientific facts in the Bible, all written in there thousands of years ago, before men knew, or even had any idea about them. In the next article we will consider a few things about the global flood and the fossils.

Today, in context of all that we have seen so far, what are your thoughts and your decision about the great, loving Creator God? Would you willingly and sincerely, with a heartfelt repent of your sins, and say a short prayer, “Lord Jesus, forgive my sins, take me under your care and save me from the judgment and terrible destruction that will be coming upon the sinful world and sinful men.” Your one sincere, voluntary prayer of faith will not only safeguard the rest of your earthly life but your eternity as well. Give this prayer of simple faith and willing surrender to the Lord Jesus an honest chance - you won't be disappointed.

परमेश्वर का वचन - बाइबल विषय पर, पिछले लेखों में हमने परिचय के रूप में बहुत संक्षेप में देखा था कि आम और लोकप्रिय धारणा के विपरीत, बाइबल न तो “पश्चिमी” सभ्यता का ग्रन्थ है, और नही बाइबल का उद्देश्य लोगों को “पश्चिमी” सभ्यता की मान्यताओं और जीवन-शैली में परिवर्तित करना है। बाइबल समस्त मानव जाति के लिये लिखा गया परमेश्वर का प्रेम पत्र है, जिसमें परमेश्वर ने अपने बारे में, अपने गुणों के बारे में, और उन की पापी दशा के बावजूद, उनके लिये उसके प्रेम के बारे में है; कैसे वह जी से चाहता है कि सभी मनुष्य उसके साथ मेल-मिलाप कर लें, ताकि वह उन्हें इस पृथ्वी पर भी, और इस पृथ्वी के बाद के जीवन में भी अनंतकाल के लिये आशीषित कर सके। बाइबल की रूपरेखा में हमने देखा बाइबल के भागों के बारे में देखा था, और यह कि यद्यपि बाइबल 66 पुस्तकों से मिलकर बनी है, जिन्हें एक बहुत लम्बे समय के दौरान, विभिन्न भाषाओं में, और विभिन्न लेखकों के द्वारा लिखा गया था, परन्तु फिर भी सम्पूर्ण बाइबल का एक ही मौलिक विषय हा - मनुष्यों का उद्धार तथा परमेश्वर से मेल-मिलाप; और इसका एक ही तथा केन्द्रीय व्यक्तित्व है - प्रभु यीशु मसीह - जगत का प्रतिज्ञा और भविष्यद्वाणी किया हुआ उद्धारकर्ता, जिसके चारों ओर बाइबल की हर बात लिखी गई है। 

आज से हम बाइबल के विभिन्न अनोखे और चकित कर देने वाले गुणों के बारे में देखना आरम्भ करेंगे, ताकि समझ सकें कि क्यों बाइबल को “परमेश्वर का वचन” कहा जाता है। 

       बाइबल की सभी 66 पुस्तकों की सामग्री को, उसके लेखों के विषयों तथा बातों को पाँच मुख्य श्रेणियों में बाँटा जा सकता है। हर पुस्तक में हर श्रेणी से संबंधित कुछ लिखा हो, यह आवश्यक नहीं; किन्तु सभी पुस्तकों की बातों को इन पाँच श्रेणियों में से किसी एक में अवश्य रखा जा सकता है। 

ये पाँच श्रेणियाँ हैं:

       1. इतिहास – बाइबल की बातों और लोगों से संबंधित इतिहास; जैसे कि उत्पत्ति की पुस्तक के आरंभ में सृष्टि का इतिहास है। शमूएल, राजाओं, इतिहास की पुस्तकों में इस्राएल के राजाओं और उनके कार्यों का इतिहास है। नए नियम में प्रेरितों के काम में प्रथम मँडली के बनाए जाने और संसार भर में फैलने का इतिहास है।

2. व्यवस्था या नियम – परमेश्वर द्वारा अपने लोगों के मार्गदर्शन और पालन के लिए दिए गए नियम, पर्व, विधि-विधान आदि जो पुराने नियम की पहली पाँच पुस्तकों में दिए गए हैं।

3. जीवनियाँ – बाइबल के मुख्य पात्रों के जीवनों और कार्यों का वर्णन विभिन्न पुस्तकों में दिया गया है। प्रभु यीशु मसीह के जन्म, जीवन, कार्य, शिक्षा, मृत्यु, पुनरुत्थान, और स्वर्गारोहण नए नियम की पहली चार पुस्तकों में दिया गया है।

4. भविष्यवाणियाँ – सम्पूर्ण बाइबल में आरंभ से लेकर अंत तक, स्थान-स्थान पर परमेश्वर के कार्यों और उसके लोगों से संबंधित अनेकों भविष्यद्वाणियाँ दी गई हैं। उत्पत्ति की पुस्तक में ही, मनुष्य के पाप में गिरने के साथ ही, पाप के समाधान और निवारण के मार्ग की भविष्यवाणी परमेश्वर ने दे दी थी। नए नियम की अंतिम पुस्तक का अंत परमेश्वर के लोगों का अनन्तकाल तक परमेश्वर के साथ परम-आनंद में रहने की भविष्यवाणी के साथ होता है। 

       प्रभु यीशु मसीह के जन्म, जीवन, कार्य, मृत्यु, पुनरुत्थान आदि की सभी बातों की भविष्यवाणियाँ पुराने नियम में प्रभु से हजारों से लेकर सैकड़ों वर्ष पहले लिखी गई थीं, और वे सभी सटीक पूरी हुई हैं। आज तक कभी भी कोई भी बाइबल की भविष्यद्वाणियों को गलत अथवा झूठी प्रमाणित नहीं कर सका है। परमेश्वर ने जो कहा है, वो हुआ है, और जैसा कहा है, वैसा ही हुआ है, चाहे लिखे जाने के समय, या पूरा होने से पहले, पढ़ने और सुनने में वह असंभव ही क्यों न लगता हो।

       पुराने नियम की पुस्तकों में कुछ विशिष्ट भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की पुस्तकें हैं, जो उनके लेखकों के नाम से जानी जाती हैं; जैसे कि यशायाह, यिर्मयाह, यहेजकेल, दानिय्येल, होशे, मलाकी, आदि। इन पुस्तकों में परमेश्वर ने अपने नबियों के द्वारा अपने लोगों को उनके पापों, परमेश्वर से भटक जाने, सांसारिकता में फँस जाने आदि के बारे में बताया, चेतावनियाँ दीं, और अनाज्ञाकारिता के परिणामों की चेतावनियाँ दीं, जो अपने समय पर पूरी भी हुईं; साथ ही भविष्य में होने वाली बातों के बारे में भी बताया, जो अपने समयानुसार पूरी भी हुईं, हो रही हैं, और जगत के अंत के समय पूरी होंगी। कुछ पुस्तकें, जैसे कि योना, नहूम, ओबद्याह नबियों की पुस्तकें, गैर-यहूदियों, या अन्यजातियों के विषय परमेश्वर की चेतावनियाँ और भविष्यवाणियाँ हैं। 

       5. शिक्षाएं – मनुष्य के पापों से पश्चाताप करने और उद्धार पाने, फिर परमेश्वर की इच्छानुसार जीवन बिताने, परमेश्वर के बारे में सीखने, परमेश्वर को क्या पसंद है और किस से वह अप्रसन्न होता है, अपने लोगों से वह क्या चाहता है, उन्हें अपने आप को उसके स्वर्गीय राज्य के लिए किस प्रकार तैयार करना और रखना है, आदि सभी बातें बाइबल की सभी पुस्तकों में विभिन्न संदर्भों, उदाहरणों, पात्रों के जीवनों और कार्यों, नैतिक शिक्षाओं, आदि के द्वारा दी गई हैं। 

       बाइबल की पुस्तकों की उपरोक्त सभी सामग्री सामान्य लेखों, कविताओं, परमेश्वर की स्तुति और आराधना के भजनों, नैतिक शिक्षाओं के लघु कथनों आदि के रूप में है। आज हम बाइबल की पुस्तकों को अध्यायों और पदों या आयतों में विभाजित देखते हैं। उनके मूल स्वरूप और लेखों में अध्यायों और पदों का यह विभाजन नहीं था। इसीलिए नए नियम में जहाँ पर भी पुराने नियम की पुस्तकों को उद्धत किया गया है, उनके हवाले से कोई बात कही गई है, तो हम कभी भी पुस्तक के लेखक के नाम के अतिरिक्त, किसी अध्याय या पद की संख्या को नहीं पाते हैं। आज हम जो बाइबल की पुस्तकों का अध्यायों और पदों में विभाजन देखते हैं, वह किसी भी वाक्य अथवा कथन तक सरलता से पहुँचने, या उसे दूसरों को बताने के लिए सरल करने के उद्देश्य से किया गया था। आज जिस विभाजन को सामान्यतः स्वीकार किया और जिसका पालन किया जाता है, वह इंग्लैंड में कैन्टरबरी के आरचबिशप स्टीफन लैंगटन की विभाजन पद्धति के अनुसार है। बिशप लैंगटन ने यह पद्धति 1227 ईस्वी में दी, और 1382 ईस्वी में प्रकाशित वाइकलिफ़ अंग्रेजी बाइबल इसे प्रयोग करने वाली पहली बाइबल थी। इस पद्धति के अंतर्गत जब बाइबल की किसी भी पुस्तक का कोई हवाला देना होता है तो पहले पुस्तक का नाम, फिर अध्याय और फिर वह पद लिखा जाता है जहाँ पर वह बात है। उदाहरण के लिए, यूहन्ना 3:16 से तात्पर्य है यूहन्ना की पुस्तक, उसका तीसरा अध्याय और उसका 16वां पद। यदि कोई लंबा खंड बताना होता है तो उस खंड के आरंभिक और अंतिम पदों को लिखा जाता है;  यूहन्ना 3:16 – 4:6 का अर्थ है यूहन्ना 3 अध्याय के 16वें पद से लेकर 4 अध्याय के 6 पद तक का खंड विचार या प्रयोग के लिए है। 

बाइबल जिस उद्धार और परमेश्वर से मेल-मिलाप की बात करती है, वह स्वेच्छा से प्रभु यीशु पर विश्वास लाने के द्वारा होता है, जिससे व्यक्ति परमेश्वर की सन्तान बन जाता है (यूहन्ना 1:12-13), और उसकी देखभाल, आशीषों, और संरक्षण में आ जाता है। यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Unique in its Contents

In the previous articles on Bible the Word of God, we have very briefly seen an introduction to the Bible, that unlike a very common and popular misconception, the Bible is not a book of the “Western” civilization, nor is its purpose to convert the people to the “Western” ideology and way of life. The Bible is God’s love letter to the entire mankind, telling them about Himself, His attributes, and His love for all men, despite their sinfulness; and how He earnestly desires for every man to be reconciled to Him, so that He can bless them on this earth as well as after their life on earth, for eternity. In the outline of the Bible, we had seen the various sections of the Bible, and how despite being written as 66 individual books, over a vast period of time, in different languages, by different authors, the whole of the Bible has one theme - the salvation of  mankind and reconciliation with God; and one core central figure around whom everything in the Bible is written - the Lord Jesus - the promised and prophesied savior of all of mankind.

From today, we will start considering various unique and amazing characteristics of the Bible, that show why it is called “The Word of God.”

The content of all the 66 books of the Bible, the themes, and their writings, can be divided into five main categories. It is not necessary that every book should contain something related to each category. But, everything written in all of the books can be placed in at least one or more of these five categories.

These five categories are:

1. History – History related to Biblical things and people; As in the beginning of the book of Genesis there is a history of creation. The books of Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles contain a history of the kings of Israel and their deeds. The book of Acts in the New Testament has a history of the first Assembly of Christian Believers being formed and their spread throughout the world.

2. The Law or Instructions – The rules, festivals, ordinances etc. given by God for the guidance and observance by His people, are given in the first five books of the Old Testament.

3. Biographies – The lives and works of the main characters of the Bible are described in various books. The birth, life, work, teaching, death, resurrection, and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ are given in the first four books of the New Testament.

4. Prophecies – There are many prophecies in these books, throughout the Bible, from its beginning to its end, concerning God's works and concerning his people. In the book of Genesis itself, with man's fall into sin, God had foretold the way of redressal and remission of sin. The final book of the New Testament ends with the prophecy of God's people living in bliss with God for eternity.

The prophecies of the Lord Jesus Christ's birth, life, work, death, resurrection, etc., were all written thousands to hundreds of years before the birth of the Lord, in the books of the Old Testament, and they have all been accurately fulfilled. To this day no one has ever been able to prove the prophecies of the Bible to be false or wrong. What God has said has always happened, and it has happened just as it is said, even if at the time of the writing of the prophecy, or prior to its completion, it may have seemed an impossibility.

Among the books of the Old Testament are the books of certain prophets, known by the names of their authors; Such as Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Malachi, etc. In these books, God, through His prophets, told His people about their sins, about their going astray from God, about their falling into worldliness, etc., and God warned them of the consequences of their disobedience to His Word; and all these warnings were also fulfilled in their own time. God had also told about the things to happen in the future, they too were fulfilled according to their time, are presently being fulfilled, and will be fulfilled at the end of the world. Some books, such as the books of the prophets Jonah, Nahum, Obadiah, are God's warnings and prophecies concerning non-Jews, or Gentiles.

5. Teachings - Teachings and instructions for mankind regarding repentance for sins and being saved, then living life according to God’s will, learning about God, what God likes or dislikes, what God expects from His people, how should they prepare and keep themselves ready for God’s heavenly kingdom, etc. are all given in the books of the Bible in various contexts, through various examples, through the lives and works of the various characters of the Bible, through moral teachings and instructions, etc.

All of the above-mentioned contents of the books of the Bible are in the form of general writings, poems, hymns of praise and worship of God, prayers, short statements of moral teachings, etc. Today we see the books of the Bible divided into chapters and verses. In their original form these writings did not have this division of chapters and verses. That's why wherever the Old Testament books are quoted in the New Testament, we never find a chapter or verse number, other than the name of the author of the book. The division of Bible books into chapters and verses that we see today was done for the purpose of making any sentence or statement easier to access, or to make it easier to cite and communicate to others. The division that is commonly accepted and followed today is according to the division method of Stephen Langton, Archbishop of Canterbury in England. Bishop Langton introduced this method in AD 1227, and the Wycliffe English Bible, published in AD 1382, was the first Bible to use it. Under this method, when a reference has to be made to any book of the Bible, first the name of the book, then the chapter and then the verse where it is spoken. For example, John 3:16 refers to the book of John, its third chapter, and its 16th verse. If a long section is to be mentioned, the starting and ending verses of that section are written; John 3:16 – 4:6 means the section from verse 16 of John chapter 3 to verse 6 of chapter 4 is under consideration or use.

The salvation and reconciliation with God that the Bible talks about comes through voluntarily coming to faith in the Lord Jesus, which also makes the person a child of God (John 1:12-13), and the person also comes under the care, blessings, and safety of God. If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

शब्द बाइबल यूनानी भाषा के शब्द ‘ता बिबलिआ’ (ta biblia) से आया है। बिबलिआ शब्द का अर्थ होता है “पुस्तकें”। बाइबल अपने मूल स्वरूप में 66 पुस्तकों का संकलन है। ये 66 पुस्तकें, अलग-अलग समयों में, अलग-अलग लेखकों द्वारा, भिन्न स्थानों, भिन्न भाषाओं, और भिन्न परिस्थितियों में लिखी गईं। किन्तु संकलित हो जाने के बाद, ये अब आरंभ से लेकर अंत तक एक पुस्तक हैं। बाइबल की पुस्तकों को मुख्यतः दो भागों में रखा गया है – पुराना नियम (39 पुस्तकें) तथा नया नियम (27 पुस्तकें)। पुराने नियम का आरंभ उत्पत्ति की पुस्तक से, परमेश्वर द्वारा जगत की सृष्टि, मनुष्य की सृष्टि, मनुष्य के पाप में गिरने के वर्णन, और मनुष्यों को पाप से छुड़ाने के लिए आने वाले उद्धारकर्ता की प्रतिज्ञा के साथ होता है। और नए नियम की अंतिम पुस्तक, प्रकाशितवाक्य, जगत के अंत और समस्त संसार के न्याय की भविष्यवाणी की पुस्तक है, जो संसार के सभी लोगों के द्वारा परमेश्वर को अपने जीवनों का हिसाब देने, और उनका दंड अथवा प्रतिफल पाने, पाप तथा मृत्यु से मुक्त नई सृष्टि और परमेश्वर के अनन्तकालीन राज्य के बारे में बताती है। इस प्रकार, बाइबल वर्तमान जगत के आरंभ से लेकर इस जगत के अंत तक का विवरण देती है; और फिर परमेश्वर के साथ आशीषपूर्ण अनन्त काल के आरंभ की प्रतिज्ञा तथा उस अनन्त काल की एक झलक के साथ समाप्त होती है।

       पुराना नियम प्रभु यीशु मसीह के जन्म से पहले लिखी गई 39 पुस्तकों का, जो परमेश्वर द्वारा यहूदियों को दिया गया परमेश्वर का वचन भी हैं, संकलन है। नए नियम में सामान्यतः इसे “पवित्रशास्त्र” कहकर सम्बोधित किया गया है या इसका हवाला दिया गया है। सम्पूर्ण पुराने नियम के सभी वृतांतों का मूल विषय, जगत का आने वाले उद्धारकर्ता, प्रभु यीशु मसीह है। पुराने नियम की सभी पुस्तकें प्रभु यीशु मसीह के बारे में आलंकारिक अथवा सांकेतिक रीति से, या भविष्यवाणियों के द्वारा बताती हैं। इन पुस्तकों में प्रभु यीशु मसीह की विभिन्न बातों को, उन से संबंधित भविष्यवाणियों को, उनके गुणों, उनके कार्यों, सारे जगत के सभी लोगों के उद्धार के लिए उनके बलिदान और मृतकों में से पुनरुत्थान को, पहले से ही बता कर लिख दिया गया है: “तब मैं ने कहा, देख, मैं आ गया हूं, (पवित्र शास्त्र में मेरे विषय में लिखा हुआ है) ताकि हे परमेश्वर तेरी इच्छा पूरी करूं” (इब्रानियों 10:7)। 

       इसीलिए प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने उनके मारे जाने, गाड़े जाने और फिर मृतकों में से जी उठने के बाद की घटनाओं के कारण असमंजस और अविश्वास में डांवांडोल हो रहे अपने शिष्यों से कहा, “तब उसने उन से कहा; हे निर्बुद्धियों, और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की सब बातों पर विश्वास करने में मन्‍दमतियों! क्या अवश्य न था, कि मसीह ये दुख उठा कर अपनी महिमा में प्रवेश करे? तब उसने मूसा से और सब भविष्यद्वक्ताओं से आरम्भ कर के सारे पवित्र शास्त्रों में से, अपने विषय में की बातों का अर्थ, उन्हें समझा दिया” (लूका 24:25-27); तथा “फिर उसने उन से कहा, ये मेरी वे बातें हैं, जो मैं ने तुम्हारे साथ रहते हुए, तुम से कही थीं, कि अवश्य है, कि जितनी बातें मूसा की व्यवस्था और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं और भजनों की पुस्तकों में, मेरे विषय में लिखी हैं, सब पूरी हों। तब उसने पवित्र शास्त्र बूझने के लिये उन की समझ खोल दी। और उन से कहा, यों लिखा है; कि मसीह दु:ख उठाएगा, और तीसरे दिन मरे हुओं में से जी उठेगा। और यरूशलेम से ले कर सब जातियों में मन फिराव का और पापों की क्षमा का प्रचार, उसी के नाम से किया जाएगा” (लूका 24:44-47)।

       नया नियम प्रभु यीशु मसीह के जन्म के वर्णन के साथ आरंभ होता है। नए नियम की आरंभिक 4 पुस्तकें प्रभु यीशु मसीह की जीवनी हैं, और अंतिम पुस्तक इस वर्तमान जगत के अंत और न्याय की भविष्यवाणी की पुस्तक, प्रकाशितवाक्य है। इनके मध्य प्रभु यीशु मसीह के अनुयायियों की मंडली बनने, संसार भर में फैलाने, और उससे संबंधित मसीही विश्वास की शिक्षाएं हैं।

       पुराने नियम की अंतिम पुस्तक “मलाकी” है; और नए नियम की प्रथम पुस्तक “मत्ती रचित सुसमाचार” है। मलाकी और मत्ती के मध्य 400 वर्ष का अंतराल है जिसमें परमेश्वर ने कोई प्रकाशन नहीं दिया, कोई बात नहीं लिखवाई। अर्थात, प्रभु यीशु मसीह से संबंधित पुराने नियम की हर शिक्षा और भविष्यवाणी, उनके जन्म से भी कम से कम 400 वर्ष या उससे अधिक पहले की है!

परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल को उसकी वास्तविकता में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की सहायता से ही समझा जा सकता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 2:11-14)। जैसे ही कोई व्यक्ति स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से उनके लिये क्षमा माँगता है, प्रभु यीशु पर विश्वास लाता है, उसे अपना उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करता है; और अपने स्वयं लिए गये निर्णय से अपना जीवन प्रभु को समर्पित करके, उसका आज्ञाकारी शिष्य बन कर रहने के लिये प्रतिबद्ध होता है, वह उसी पल से परमेश्वर की सन्तान, उसके परिवार का भाग बन जाता है (यूहन्ना 1:12-13)। और साथ ही तुरन्त ही उसे परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की सहायता भी उपलब्ध हो जाती है; वह परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल को पवित्र आत्मा की सहायता से सीख और समझ सकता है। 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The word Bible comes from the Greek word 'ta biblia'. The word Biblia means "books". The Bible in its original form is a compilation of 66 books. These 66 books were written at different times, by different authors, in different places, in different languages, and in different circumstances. But having been compiled, it is now a single book from beginning to end. The books of the Bible are mainly divided into two parts - the Old Testament (39 books) and the New Testament (27 books). The Old Testament begins with the book of Genesis, with a description of God's creation of the world, the creation of man, man's fall into sin, and the promise of a Savior to come to redeem man from sin. And the last book of the New Testament, Revelation, is the book of prophecy of the end of the world and the judgment of the world. Revelation is the book which shows that all people of the world will have to give an account of their lives to God, and will accordingly have to receive their punishment or reward; finally it also shows the end of sin and death and the new creation and the eternal kingdom of God. Thus, the Bible gives details from the beginning of the present creation to the end of this creation; And it culminates with the promise of the beginning of the blessed eternity with God and then ends with a glimpse of that eternity.

The Old Testament is a compilation of 39 books written before the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, which also constitute the Word of God given by God to the Jews. In the New Testament it is generally referred to or spoken as “Scriptures.” The central theme of all accounts throughout the Old Testament is, the prophesied Savior of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ. All the books of the Old Testament tell of the Lord Jesus Christ in a figurative way, or through prophecies. In these books, various aspects of the Lord Jesus Christ, prophecies related to Him, His attributes, His works, His sacrifice for the salvation of all the people of the whole world and the resurrection from the dead, have been written in advance. : "Then I said, 'Behold, I have come-- In the volume of the book it is written of Me-- To do Your will, O God.'" (Hebrews 10:7).

That is why the Lord Jesus Christ said to His disciples, who were in confusion and disbelief about the events related to His death, burial, and resurrection from the dead, “Then He said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?" And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself" (Luke 24:25-27); And "Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me." And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem” (Luke 24:44-47).

The New Testament begins with a description of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. The first 4 books of the New Testament are a biography of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the final book is the book of Revelation, the prophecy of the end of this present world and judgment of the world. In between, are the books telling about the beginnings of the assemblies of the Believers and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, their spreading all over the world, and the Christian teachings related to the Christian Believers and assemblies.

"Malachi" is the last book of the Old Testament; And the first book of the New Testament is the "Gospel of Matthew." There is a gap of 400 years between Malachi and Matthew in which God did not give any revelation, did not write anything. That is, every Old Testament teaching and prophecy related to the Lord Jesus Christ dates back to at least 400 years or more before His birth!

God’s Word the Bible can only be truly understood through the help of God the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:11-14). The moment a person voluntarily repents of his sins, asks Lord Jesus to forgive his sins, comes to faith in the Lord Jesus and accepts the Lord Jesus as his savior; and takes a considered decision to submit his life to the Lord and commits to live life as an obedient disciple of the Lord Jesus; from that moment he becomes a child of God, a part of His family (John 1:12-13). And, along with this, from that moment onwards, the help of the Holy Spirit becomes available to him to learn and understand God’s Word the Bible.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
