दोबारा बपतिस्मा (2)
पिछले लेख से हमने एक ऐसे प्रश्न को देखना आरम्भ किया है जो अकसर लोगों के सामने आता है – जिन्होंने पहले एक “बपतिस्मा” ले लिया है, क्या उन्हें दोबारा बपतिस्मा दिया जा सकता है; या दिया जाना चाहिए? इस प्रश्न का उठाया जाना ही बपतिस्मे के प्रति उनकी अधूरी या गलत समझ को दिखाता है। जो व्यक्ति परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल की बातों के अनुसार बपतिस्मे के विषय सही समझ रखेगा, और जो बपतिस्मे के बारे में बाइबल की शिक्षाओं को स्वीकार करेगा, उसे स्वतः ही इस प्रश्न का उत्तर भी मिल जाएगा। पिछले लेख में हम ने बपतिस्मे से संबंधित उन बातों को, जिन्हें हम ने अभी तक देखा और समझा है, संक्षिप्त कर के दोहराया था; और फिर उन के आधार पर इस प्रश्न से संबंधित कुछ निष्कर्ष निकाले थे। उन से हम इस निष्कर्ष पर पहुंचे थे कि ऐसा कोई भी बपतिस्मा जो प्रभु और उसके वचन के अनुसार नहीं लिया या दिया गया, वरन एक रीति, या औपचारिकता, या धार्मिक अनुष्ठान की पूर्ति, या ऐसे किसी भी अन्य कारण के अंतर्गत हुआ है, वह वास्तविकता में बपतिस्मा नहीं है जिसे प्रभु मानता या स्वीकार करता है। अर्थात, ऐसे किसी भी “बपतिस्मे” की कोई स्वीकृति नहीं है; इसलिए, ऐसा “बपतिस्मा” लिया हुआ व्यक्ति बिना कोई भी बपतिस्मा लिए हुए व्यक्ति के समान ही है। आज हम ऐसी कुछ और बातों को देखेंगे जो इस बात की पुष्टि करती हैं और उसे उचित ठहराती हैं कि जो बपतिस्मा बाइबल की शिक्षाओं के अनुसार नहीं है, वह मान्य भी नहीं है, उसकी कोई गिनती नहीं है।
यह बिलकुल सही है कि बाइबल में किसी दूसरे बपतिस्मे के लिए या दिए जाने का कहीं भी, कभी भी, कोई भी उल्लेख नहीं है। और इसी तर्क को आधार बना कर लोग उद्धार पाने के बाद “दूसरा” बपतिस्मा लेने के लिए मना करते हैं। किन्तु इसी के साथ यह भी तो उतना ही सही और जायज़, तथा मान्य तर्क है कि उपरोक्त अनुचित और गलत “बपतिस्मों” का भी बाइबल में कहीं कोई उल्लेख एवं उदाहरण नहीं है। किन्तु “दूसरा” बपतिस्मा लेने का विरोध करने वाले ये लोग, अपनी इस इतनी बड़ी गलती को ठीक करने की बजाए, इस आधारभूत बात की अनदेखी कर के व्यक्ति के बाइबल के अनुसार सही प्रकार से बपतिस्मा लेने का विरोध करते हैं। ये लोग फिर भी अपनी ही गढ़ी हुई धारणाओं के अनुसार, अनुचित “बपतिस्मे” देते रहते हैं। किन्तु मसीही विश्वास में आने वाले व्यक्ति को प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में होकर सही बपतिस्मा लेने से रोकते हैं; जैसे शैतान ने हव्वा को बहका कर उस से पाप करवाया था, ये लोग भी उस प्रभु के जन से प्रभु की अनाज्ञाकारिता करवाते हैं।
साथ ही इस पर भी विचार करना चाहिए कि जिस समय बाइबल की पुस्तकें लिखी जा रही थीं, उस समय पर वे अनुचित “बपतिस्मे” थे ही नहीं, तब ऐसे अनुचित बपतिस्मे कभी भी, किसी को भी, किसी के भी द्वारा दिए ही नहीं जाते थे। जो बपतिस्मा था, और जिसे लोग जानते थे, वह वही उपरोक्त बाइबल के अनुसार सही बपतिस्मा ही था। इसलिए किसी को भी गलत “बपतिस्मे” के बाद कोई सही बपतिस्मा लेने, या उसकी शिक्षा और समझ देने की कोई आवश्यकता ही नहीं थी। इसलिए बाइबल में इस बात के लिए कोई शिक्षा या कोई उदाहरण कहाँ से आता, क्यों आता? यदि ऐसा कुछ लिखा भी जाता, तो लोगों को समझ में भी नहीं आता कि यह क्यों लिखा गया; किन्तु यह शैतान के लिए गलत शिक्षा के रूप में दुरुपयोग करने का एक आधार अवश्य बन जाता। इन कारणों से बाइबल में “दूसरा” बपतिस्मा लेने के लिए न लिखे होने का तर्क देकर, सही बपतिस्मे को लेने से वर्जित नहीं किया जा सकता है। वर्जित करने वाले, यदि अपने “पहले” और गलत बपतिस्मे का प्रयोग बन्द कर दें, और सही बपतिस्मे की ओर आ जाएं, तो समस्या का समाधान स्वतः ही हो जाएगा।
हाँ, उद्धार पा लेने, और बपतिस्मे के द्वारा उसकी सार्वजनिक गवाही एक बार दे देने के बाद, किसी भी व्यक्ति के लिए फिर मुड़कर पुनः बपतिस्मा लेने की कोई आवश्यकता, औचित्य, अथवा उपयोगिता नहीं है। यदि तब कोई फिर से बपतिस्मा लेता है, तो उसे “दूसरा” बपतिस्मा कहा जा सकता है, जिसका जिसकी न तो कोई आवश्यकता है, न ही कोई औचित्य है, और न ही परमेश्वर के वचन से ऐसा करने का कोई समर्थन है। ऐसा बपतिस्मा व्यर्थ, निराधार, और निष्फल है।
यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में नया जन्म पाए हुए प्रभु यीशु के शिष्य हैं, पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं तथा आप ने अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है। आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।
अगले लेख से हम इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में दी गई आरम्भिक बातों में से चौथी, “हाथ रखने” के बारे में देखना और सीखना आरंभ करेंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Re-Baptism - (2)
Since the previous article we have been considering a question that people commonly face - should those who have been “baptized” once before, be baptized again; should re-baptism be given? The basis of their raising this question is their incomplete and incorrect understanding of baptism. The person who has the right understanding of baptism, as is given in God's Word Bible, and he who accepts the teachings of the Bible about it, will automatically get the answer as well. In the previous article we first summarized and reviewed what we have learnt about baptism so far, and then on the basis of that had drawn inferences related to this question. We had come to the conclusion that any baptism not done in obedience to the Lord and His Word, but done as a ritual, or a formality, or a religious requirement, or for any other reason, is not actually the baptism that the Lord accepts or counts. Such a baptism does not actually count; therefore, the person is just as if he had never ever been baptized. Today, let us consider some other things that also go to confirm and justify that any unBiblical baptism is not actually a baptism to be counted.
It is very true that in the Bible there is no mention of a re-baptism ever being given or taken by anyone. And based on this argument, people refuse allowing, or taking a "second", or a re-baptism after being saved. But at the same time, it is equally correct and justified to argue, and equally applicable, that there is no mention and example in the Bible, of the previously mentioned improper and wrong "baptisms." But the people who oppose the so-called "second" or a re-baptism, instead of correcting this major mistake on their part, ignore this basic fact and insist upon opposing a person being baptized the right way, in accordance with what is given and taught in the Bible. On the other hand, they persist in doing their own thing about baptism and continue to administer the unBiblical baptism with impunity. They prevent a Christian Believer, one who now has actually come into the faith, from being properly baptized in obedience to the Lord; thereby causing that child of God to disobey the Lord, just as Satan beguiled Eve into disobeying God.
Another fact that should also be considered is that at the time the books of the Bible were being written, there were no improper "baptisms" being given anywhere by anyone to anyone. The only baptism that was there and the people knew about at that time was the Biblically correct baptism as has been mentioned above. So, there was no need for anyone to re-receive a correct re-baptism, or to be taught and made to understand about a wrong “baptism.” Therefore, why would any teaching or any example of a re-baptism come into the writings of the Bible? Even if something to explain and correct this had been written, people wouldn't even understand it, they would have got confused about it, and it would become a ground for Satan to misuse it as a false teaching for misguiding people. Therefore, the argument of the absence of mention of a "second" or a re-baptism in the Bible cannot be used for forbidding a true Believer correctly and Biblically baptized. If those not in favor of re-baptism stop administering the wrong "first" baptism, and shift to administering only the Biblically correct baptism, then the problem of a “second” or re-baptism will automatically be solved.
Yes, once having been saved, and having through baptism once given the public testimony for their becoming the people of the Lord, then there is no need, or justification, or reason for anyone to turn back and be baptized again. That then would actually be a “second” baptism, for which there is no need or necessity or justification or utility from God’s Word. Such a baptism is vain, baseless, and inconsequential.
If you are a Christian Believer, then please examine your life and make sure that you actually are a Born-Again disciple of the Lord, i.e., are redeemed from your sins, have submitted and surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus to live in obedience to Him and His Word. Whoever may be the preacher or teacher, but you should always, like the Berean Believers, first cross-check and test all teachings that you receive, from the Word of God. Only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.
From the next article we will begin considering and learning about the fourth of the elementary principle given in Hebrew 6:1-2; i.e., “laying on of hands.”
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
