1 कुरिन्थियों 12:7-11 के आत्मिक वरदान की समझ - भाग - 2
पिछले लेख में हमने 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:7-11 में दिए गए आत्मिक वरदानों को देखना आरंभ किया था। यहाँ दिए गए 9 विभिन्न वरदानों: “बुद्धि का बातें”; “ज्ञान की बातें”; “विश्वास”; “चंगा करने का वरदान”; “सामर्थ्य के काम करने की शक्ति”; “भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति”; “आत्माओं की परख”; “अनेक प्रकार की भाषा”; “भाषाओं का अर्थ बताना” में से हमने पहले पाँच के बारे में देखा था। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि पवित्र आत्मा के सभी वरदान किसी के निज प्रयोग अथवा लाभ के लिए नहीं हैं, वरन, सभी के लिए और मसीही विश्वासियों की मण्डली की उन्नति और लाभ के लिए हैं। जिसे भी उसकी सेवकाई के लिए जो भी वरदान परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रदान किया है, उसे वह वरदान पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, सभी मसीही विश्वासियों के लाभ के लिए प्रयोग करना है, अपने लिए नहीं।
आज हम शेष चार वरदानों के बारे में कुछ विवरण देखेंगे:
“भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति”: मूल यूनानी भाषा के जिस शब्द का अनुवाद “भविष्यवाणी” किया गया है, उसका शब्दार्थ न केवल भविष्य की बातें बताना होता है, वरन प्रेरित होकर औरों के सामने बोलना या बताना भी होता है। 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:3 में इसी शब्द को “”... मनुष्यों से उन्नति, और उपदेश, और शान्ति की बातें” कहने के लिए भी प्रयोग किया गया है, और लूका 22:64 में, जब पकड़वाए जाने के बाद सैनिकों द्वारा प्रभु का उपहास किया जा रहा था, तब “बूझने” या “पता लगाकर बताने” के लिए भी हुआ है। इसी प्रकार से इस शब्द को विभिन्न स्थानों में उसके भिन्न अर्थों के साथ उपयोग किया गया है। पवित्र आत्मा न केवल कुछ लोगों को भविष्य की बातें बताने की सामर्थ्य देता है (प्रेरितों 21:9-11), वरन कुछ लोगों को परमेश्वर की बातें औरों के सामने बोलने की भी सामर्थ्य देता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:4,5; 13:9; 14:3-5, 24, 31, 39; प्रकाशितवाक्य 11:3)। इसलिए “भविष्यवाणी” का वरदान न केवल भविष्य की बातन बताने की सामर्थ्य है, वरन परमेश्वर का प्रतिनिधि बनकर लोगों के सामने परमेश्वर के वचन का प्रचार करना और सिखाना भी है।
“आत्माओं की परख”: पहली कलीसिया की स्थापना, और प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा सुसमाचार प्रचार के आरंभ होने के साथ ही शैतान की ओर से झूठे प्रचारक (1 यूहन्ना 2:18; 4:1), प्रभु यीशु के नाम से प्रचार को कमाई का साधन बना कर प्रयोग करने वाले (रोमियों 16:18; फिलिप्पियों 3:18, 19), और गलत शिक्षाओं के देने वाले (2 कुरिन्थियों 4:2; 2 पतरस 2:1; 2 यूहन्ना 1:7) भी मण्डलियों और लोगों में फैलने लगे थे, अपने कार्य के द्वारा लोगों को बहकाने लगे थे। उस समय में, जब आज के समान लिखित वचन लोगों के हाथ में नहीं था, अधिकांशतः मसीही जीवन की शिक्षाएं, सुसमाचार प्रचार, और प्रभु की बातों का प्रसार, मौखिक प्रचार और संबोधनों के द्वारा होता था। ऐसे में, इन शैतान के लोगों के झूठ और गलत शिक्षाओं को तुरंत ही परखने और प्रकट करने के लिए, वचन को जानने, जाँचने, और सच को उजागर करने की शक्ति पवित्र आत्मा लोगों को देता था, जिससे वे झूठ को प्रकट कर के लोगों को गलत शिक्षाओं से बचा सकें (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29)। यह कार्य आज भी पवित्र आत्मा की सामर्थ्य से कुछ लोग विभिन्न माध्यमों के द्वारा करते रहते हैं, अन्यथा गलत शिक्षाओं की भरमार में मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए सत्य की पहचान करना बहुत कठिन हो जाएगा।
“अनेक प्रकार की भाषा”: प्रेरितों 2:4-11 से यह प्रकट है कि जिन “अन्य भाषाओं” का उल्लेख किया गया है वे पृथ्वी की ही, और विभिन्न भौगोलिक क्षेत्रों के लोगों द्वारा बोली जाने वाली भाषाएं थीं, न कि अलौकिक या पृथ्वी के बाहर की भाषाएं, जैसा पवित्र आत्मा के नाम से गलत शिक्षाएं देने वाले दावा करते हैं। यह बात 1 कुरिन्थियों 14 अध्याय के अध्ययन से और अधिक स्पष्ट एवं दृढ़ हो जाती है। उस समय प्रभु के शिष्यों और प्रेरितों को तुरंत ही संसार भर में जाकर सुसमाचार बताने की आवश्यकता थी; किन्तु प्रभु के अनुयायी सभी इस्राएल से थे, अपनी स्थानीय भाषा बोलने वाले थे, और अधिकांशतः तो बहुत कम शिक्षा पाए हुए या अनपढ़ भी थे। इस बात का सुसमाचार प्रचार में बाधा बनने के समाधान के लिए पवित्र आत्मा ने उन शिष्यों को अनेकों प्रकार की भाषाएं बोलने का वरदान भी दे दिया, जिससे वे उस भाषा के अनुसार अलग-अलग इलाकों में जाकर प्रचार कर सकें। यह उस समय की तात्कालिक आवश्यकता थी, जिसका समाधान परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रदान किया, और यह 1 कुरिन्थियों 14 अध्याय में और स्पष्ट भी हो जाता है। साथ ही पवित्र आत्मा ने यह भी लिखवा दिया कि यह वरदान स्थाई नहीं है, वरन एक समय पर समाप्त हो जाएगा क्योंकि तब इसकी आवश्यकता नहीं रहेगी (1 कुरिन्थियों 13:8), हर स्थान पर हर भाषा में सुसमाचार देने वाले लोग खड़े हो जाएंगे। किन्तु इस वरदान की गलत समझ, व्याख्या, और शिक्षाओं के द्वारा पवित्र आत्मा के नाम से गलत शिक्षाएं देने वालों ने बहुतेरों को बहका रखा है, भ्रम में डाल रखा है।
इसीलिए अन्य भाषा बोलने का वरदान भी सभी की भलाई, सभी की उपयोगिता, और मण्डली की उन्नति के लिए है; किसी के द्वारा व्यक्तिगत प्रयोग या अपने आप को विशेष सामर्थ्य पाया हुआ दिखाने के लिए नहीं। इस वरदान को व्यक्तिगत उपयोग के लिए बताना या प्रयोग करना, वचन के अनुसार नहीं है, इस वरदान तथा परमेश्वर के वचन का दुरुपयोग है। और जो यह करते हैं, वे वास्तव में कोई भाषा भी नहीं बोलते हैं; वे तो एक उन्माद की स्थित में होकर मुँह से कुछ समझ में न आने वाली आवाज़ें बारंबार निकालते चले जाते हैं। क्योंकि उनकी बात और उच्चारण किसी को समझ में नहीं आते हैं इसलिए वे यह दावा करते हैं कि वे एक “स्वर्गीय” भाषा बोल रहे हैं।
“भाषाओं का अर्थ बताना”: जिस प्रकार संसार के सभी स्थानों में जाकर वहाँ की भाषा में सुसमाचार प्रचार करने वालों की आवश्यकता थी, उसी प्रकार से मण्डलियों में ऐसे लोगों की भी आवश्यकता थी जो दु-भाषिये का कार्य कर सकें। अर्थात यदि कोई भिन्न भाषा बोलने वाला प्रचारक किसी मण्डली में आए, तो उसकी बात को स्थानीय भाषा में अनुवाद कर के स्थानीय लोगों को लाभान्वित कर सकें। इसीलिए पवित्र आत्मा ने लिखवाया है कि प्रचारक को किसी नए स्थान पर जाने के बाद पहले यह पता कर लेना चाहिए कि उसकी बात का स्थानीय भाषा में अनुवाद करने वाला कोई है कि नहीं; यदि नहीं है तो फिर उसे शांत रहना चाहिए, नाहक प्रचार नहीं करना चाहिए (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:27-28)।
यदि आप मसीही विश्वासी हैं तो आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि वचन की सही समझ और शिक्षा में दृढ़ और स्थापित हों, तथा गलत शिक्षाओं के बहकावे में न आएं; वरन गलत शिक्षाओं को औरों के सामने प्रकट करें और लोगों को उनसे सावधान रहने, बच कर रहने के बारे में समझाएं। इन अंत के दिनों में जिस तेज़ी से चिह्न-चमत्कारों आदि के द्वारा गलत शिक्षाएं फैलाई जा रही हैं, उसका सामना करने, लोगों को झूठी बातों में फँसने और बहकाए जाने से बचाने के लिए सभी मसीही विश्वासियों को वचन की सही समझ रखने और उसका सही उपयोग करना सिखाने की बहुत आवश्यकता है। प्रभु से प्रार्थना कीजिए, उससे माँगिए कि वह आपको अपने लिए उपयोग करे कि आप झूठ और गलत शिक्षाओं को प्रकट कर सकें, उन्हें उजागर कर सकें, और लोगों को गलत बातों में फंस कर अनन्त विनाश में जाने से बचा सकें।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Understanding the Gifts of the Holy Spirit of 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 - Part 2
From the previous article we had started to see about the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11. Of the 9 different gifts, “word of wisdom,” “word of knowledge,” “faith,” “healing,” “miracles,” “prophecy,” “discerning of spirits,” “different kinds of tongues,” and “interpretation of tongues” mentioned in these 5 verses, we had seen about the first 5. We had also seen that none of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for any person’s personal use or benefit; rather, all the gifts are meant for the help and benefit of everyone in the Church. Whichever gift anyone has received for their God assigned work and ministry, he has to use that gift under the guidance of God the Holy Spirit, for the benefit of the Christian Believers, not for himself alone.
Today we will see about the remaining four gifts:
“Prophecy”: The word used in the original Greek language, that has been has translated as “prophecy” means “to speak forth” - not only in time, i.e., tell about future events or things, but also to be inspired to speak before others, or tell others. The same word has been used in 1 Corinthians 14:3 “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men” to convey that to prophecy also means to edify, exhort, and comfort others; and not only to tell about future things. Similarly, in Luke 22:64, when the soldiers were mocking the Lord Jesus caught for crucifixion, the same word has been used "Prophesy! Who is the one who struck You?" with the meaning of telling about an ongoing event. At other places too, in the Bible, this word has been used in its various meanings. The Holy Spirit not only gives the power to tell about the future events to some people (Acts 21:9-11), but also gives the power and ability to speak the things of God before others (1 Corinthians 11:4,5; 13:9; 14:3-5, 24, 31, 39; Revelation 11:3), and for all these, the same word has been used. So, the gift of “prophecy” is not just the gift of foretelling events, but also the gift of speaking and preaching God’s Word as the spokesman of God, before others.
“Discerning of spirits”: Along with the establishing of the first Church, and the beginning of the preaching of the gospel by the Lord’s disciples at various places, false preachers and teachers from Satan too started their work (1 John 2:18; 4:1), those who preach wrong doctrines and false teachings started to grow and spread (2 Corinthians 4:2; 2 Peter 2:1; 2 John 1:7), and people started to use the name of the Lord Jesus and preaching in His name as a means of earning money (Romans 16:18; Philippians 3:18, 19), and through all these and other similar things started to mislead and beguile people into wrong ways. At that time, when, unlike today, the people did not have the written Word in their hands, and usually all preaching about Christian Living, preaching the Gospel, and spreading the teachings of the Lord was done through oral preaching and addressing people. In such a situation, the Holy Spirit gave the ability to some people to immediately recognize the lies and false teachings of Satan and expose them to others. The Holy Spirit also gave the power and ability to know, examine, and teach God’s Word and to expose the false teachings, so that they could expose the lies and save others from wrong teachings and false doctrines (1 Corinthians 14:29). This work is done even today by some people under the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit; else in the rampant spread of the wrong doctrines and false teachings amongst Christian Believers today, it would become very difficult to discern the truth.
“Different kinds of tongues”: From Acts 2:4-11 it is apparent that the “tongues” or other languages that has been spoken of were known, recognized, named, and spoken earthly languages of different geographical regions. They were not any “out of the world” or “heavenly” languages, as those who preach and teach wrong things in the name of the Holy Spirit claim. This becomes all the more clear and established form 1 Corinthians 14. At that time, the disciples of the Lord Jesus had to spread out into the world and preach the gospel to all people; but the disciples were all from Israel, spoke their local language, and most of them were either poorly educated or uneducated. So that this does not become a limiting factor in the preaching and spread of the Gospel, therefore, the Holy Spirit gave the then disciples the remedy to the situation - the miraculous ability to speak in other languages without having to wait to learn them, so that they could immediately go to various geographical areas and preach the gospel unhindered by language. This was an immediate need of the situation, and it was taken care of by the Holy Spirit, and this becomes clear in 1 Corinthians 14. Moreover, God the Holy Spirit also had it written down that this gift was not for all times, but aftet some time it will be taken away because by that time it will no longer be needed (1 Corinthians 13:8), at every place, in every language people would come up who can preach the gospel in the local language. But, by misinterpreting the teachings about this gift and misusing this gift itself, those who preach wrong doctrines and teach false teachings have created a lot of confusion and have beguiled and led astray many people.
The gift of being able to speak in other languages is also for the growth and benefit of the Church and other Christian Believers, and not for the use and benefit of any person. Therefore, no one can claim to be someone extra-special or extra-ordinary, specially blessed by God because of having this gift. Doing so is a misuse of this gift and God’s Word; and those who do this actually do not speak any language, but just repetitively utter a few unintelligible sounds in an ecstatic state. Since what they are saying is not understood by anyone, they claim that they are speaking some “heavenly” language.
“Interpretation of tongues”: At that time, just as it was required that there be people who will be able to go to various places and preach the gospel in the local language, similarly it was required in the Church that there be bi-lingual or multi-lingual people, who would be able to translate for someone coming from another language speaking area, so that if an outside preacher comes, then the local people can benefit from what he has to say. It is for this reason that the Holy Spirit had it written down that if a preacher goes to a new area, he should first find out if there is someone who can translate for him into the local language; if there is nobody, then he should stay silent instead of unnecessarily preaching when no one can understand what he is saying (1 Corinthians 14:27-28).
If you are a Christian Believer, then it is essential for you to be firmly rooted and established in the correct understanding and teachings of God’s Word. You should not get carried away by the attractive, emphatic, and impressive presentations of wrong doctrines and false teachings. Rather you should expose these wrong things before others and caution the people against getting misled by these wrong things. In these last days wrong doctrines and false teachings are being preached, taught, and spread very rapidly, specially through signs and wonders. It is essential for every Christian Believer to learn from God’s Word the truth about these things, stay safe themselves and keep others safe as well, and teach the correct doctrines and teachings from the Word of God. Pray about this to the Lord and ask Him to use you to counter and expose the wrong doctrines and teachings, to help people come out of and stay away from these seemingly attractive, alluring, and dramatic teachings, which actually are destructive and lead people astray into condemnation.
If you are still thinking of yourself as being a Christian, a child of God, entitled to a place in heaven, because of being born in a particular family and having fulfilled the religious rites and rituals prescribed under your religion or denomination since your childhood, then you too need to come out of your misunderstanding of Biblical facts and start learning, understanding, and living according to what the Word of God says, instead of what any denominational creed says or teaches. Make the necessary corrections in your life now while you have the time and opportunity; lest by the time you realize your mistake, it is too late to do anything about it.
If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
