मसीही जीवन के चार स्तम्भ - 1 - वचन (11)
व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन से सम्बन्धित हमारे इस ज़ारी बाइबल अध्ययन में, हम प्रेरितों 2 अध्याय में दी गई सात बातों पर अध्ययन कर रहे हैं। अभी हम प्रेरितों 2:42 में दी गई चार बातों, जिन्हें “मसीही जीवन के स्तम्भ” भी कहा जाता है, में से पहले स्तम्भ, अर्थात यत्न से और लौलीन होकर वचन का अध्ययन करने को देख रहे हैं। पिछले कुछ लेखों में हमने सात कारण देखे हैं कि क्यों प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को बाइबल अध्ययन करने में यत्न के साथ लौलीन रहना चाहिए। आज हम बाइबल अध्ययन के एक और पक्ष पर विचार करेंगे - जो लोग परमेश्वर के वचन को अपने जीवनों में उसका उचित आदर और स्थान देते हैं, उससे उनके जीवनों में क्या प्रभाव आते हैं। हम यह बाइबल के पदों से देखेंगे, बस उनपर एक छोटी सी टिप्पणी के साथ। सामान्यतः क्योंकि सभी पद अपने आप में स्पष्ट हैं, स्वयं अपनी व्याख्या हैं, इसलिए हम पदों के विश्लेषण और चर्चा में नहीं जाएंगे।
मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन में परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रभाव
1. भजन 19:
पद 7 - “यहोवा की व्यवस्था खरी है, वह प्राण को बहाल कर देती है; यहोवा के नियम विश्वासयोग्य हैं, साधारण लोगों को बुद्धिमान बना देते हैं;” परमेश्वर का वचन प्राण को बहाल कर देता है और साधारण लोगों को बुद्धिमान बना देते है।
पद 8 - “यहोवा के उपदेश सिद्ध हैं, हृदय को आनन्दित कर देते हैं; यहोवा की आज्ञा निर्मल है, वह आंखों में ज्योति ले आती है;” परमेश्वर का वचन हृदय को आनन्दित करता और आँखों में ज्योति ले आता है।
पद 9 - “यहोवा का भय पवित्र है, वह अनन्तकाल तक स्थिर रहता है; यहोवा के नियम सत्य और पूरी रीति से धर्ममय हैं।” परमेश्वर का वचन सदा काल तक बना रहता है, इसलिए वह हर बात का आँकलन करने के लिए एक अपरिवर्तनीय, सिद्ध, और चिरस्थाई मापदण्ड है।
पद 11 - “और उन्हीं से तेरा दास चिताया जाता है; उनके पालन करने से बड़ा ही प्रतिफल मिलता है।” जो उसके आज्ञाकारी हैं, परमेश्वर का वचन उन्हें सचेत करता है और उन्हें प्रतिफल भी देता है।
2. भजन 119: सम्पूर्ण भजन 119 परमेश्वर के वचन के विभिन्न पक्षों के बारे में है। यहाँ पर उसके कुछ पद दिए जा रहे हैं:
पद 1-2 - “क्या ही धन्य हैं वे जो चाल के खरे हैं, और यहोवा की व्यवस्था पर चलते हैं! क्या ही धन्य हैं वे जो उसकी चितौनियों को मानते हैं, और पूर्ण मन से उसके पास आते हैं!” जो उसका पालन करते हैं, उनके लिए परमेश्वर का वचन आशीष लाता है।
पद 7 - “जब मैं तेरे धर्ममय नियमों को सीखूंगा, तब तेरा धन्यवाद सीधे मन से करूंगा।” परमेश्वर का वचन हमें परमेश्वर का धन्यवाद करना, उसकी स्तुति करना, उसकी आराधना करना सिखाता है।
पद 9, 11 - “जवान अपनी चाल को किस उपाय से शुद्ध रखे? तेरे वचन के अनुसार सावधान रहने से।” “मैं ने तेरे वचन को अपने हृदय में रख छोड़ा है, कि तेरे विरुद्ध पाप न करूं।” परमेश्वर का वचन हमें पाप से शुद्ध तथा पाप करने से बचाए रखता है।
पद 98-100 - “तू अपनी आज्ञाओं के द्वारा मुझे अपने शत्रुओं से अधिक बुद्धिमान करता है, क्योंकि वे सदा मेरे मन में रहती हैं। मैं अपने सब शिक्षकों से भी अधिक समझ रखता हूं, क्योंकि मेरा ध्यान तेरी चितौनियों पर लगा है। मैं पुरनियों से भी समझदार हूं, क्योंकि मैं तेरे उपदेशों को पकड़े हुए हूं।” जो परमेश्वर के वचन में बने रहते और उसका पालन करते हैं, उन्हें वचन से ऐसी व्यावहारिक समझ प्राप्त होती है जो और किसी तरह से कभी नहीं मिल सकती है।
पद 105 - “तेरा वचन मेरे पांव के लिये दीपक, और मेरे मार्ग के लिये उजियाला है।” परमेश्वर का वचन एक दीपक के समान हमारे मार्ग में उजियाला करता है, और एक-एक कदम करके हमें आगे बढ़ने का मार्ग दिखाता है।
पद 107 - “मैं अत्यन्त दु:ख में पड़ा हूं; हे यहोवा, अपने वचन के अनुसार मुझे जिला।” हमारे क्लेशों और समस्याओं के समय में परमेश्वर का वचन हमें नई सामर्थ्य देता है।
पद 111 - “मैं ने तेरी चितौनियों को सदा के लिये अपना निज भाग कर लिया है, क्योंकि वे मेरे हृदय के हर्ष का कारण हैं।” परमेश्वर का वचन हमें आनन्दित करता है।
3. यिर्मयाह 5:14 - “इस कारण सेनाओं का परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, ये लोग जो ऐसा कहते हैं, इसलिये देख, मैं अपना वचन तेरे मुंह में आग, और इस प्रजा को काठ बनाऊंगा, और वह उन को भस्म करेगी।” उसके लोगों के मुँह में, परमेश्वर का वचन, उनके विरोधियों के लिए भस्म करने वाली आग बन जाता है।
4. यिर्मयाह 23:29 - “यहोवा की यह भी वाणी है कि क्या मेरा वचन आग सा नहीं है? फिर क्या वह ऐसा हथौड़ा नहीं जो पत्थर को फोड़ डाले?” परमेश्वर के लोगों के विरुद्ध व्यर्थ की बातों को जलाने, और अविश्वास की चट्टान को तोड़ने के लिए परमेश्वर का वचन आग और हथौड़े का काम करता है।
5. 2 तीमुथियुस 3:15-17 - “और बालकपन से पवित्र शास्त्र तेरा जाना हुआ है, जो तुझे मसीह पर विश्वास करने से उद्धार प्राप्त करने के लिये बुद्धिमान बना सकता है। हर एक पवित्रशास्त्र परमेश्वर की प्रेरणा से रचा गया है और उपदेश, और समझाने, और सुधारने, और धर्म की शिक्षा के लिये लाभदायक है। ताकि परमेश्वर का जन सिद्ध बने, और हर एक भले काम के लिये तत्पर हो जाए।” परमेश्वर का वचन मसीह में विश्वास और उद्धार के लिए समझ देता है; वह उपदेश देने, समझाने, सुधारने, और धर्म की शिक्षा देने के लिए लाभकारी है। वह विश्वासी को भले कामों के लिए तत्पर और तैयार करता है।
6. इब्रानियों 4:12 - “क्योंकि परमेश्वर का वचन जीवित, और प्रबल, और हर एक दोधारी तलवार से भी बहुत चोखा है, और जीव, और आत्मा को, और गांठ गांठ, और गूदे गूदे को अलग कर के, वार पार छेदता है; और मन की भावनाओं और विचारों को जांचता है।” परमेश्वर का वचन गहराई से काट कर अलग-अलग करता है, और मन की बातों को जाँचता तथा प्रकट करता है।
7. 1 पतरस 1:23; 2:2 - “क्योंकि तुम ने नाशमान नहीं पर अविनाशी बीज से परमेश्वर के जीवते और सदा ठहरने वाले वचन के द्वारा नया जन्म पाया है।” “नये जन्मे हुए बच्चों के समान निर्मल आत्मिक दूध की लालसा करो, ताकि उसके द्वारा उद्धार पाने के लिये बढ़ते जाओ।” परमेश्वर का वचन विश्वासियों के लिए नए जीवन का अनन्तकालीन तथा सदा उपलब्ध स्त्रोत है; और उनकी आत्मिक बढ़ोतरी के लिए आवश्यक पोषण है।
परमेश्वर के वचन में बने रहने और उसका पालन करने के ये कुछ लाभ हैं। जब पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में वचन को पढ़ते, अध्ययन करते, और उसका पालन करते हैं, तब वह हमें और भी कई बातें दिखाता है और हमारी सहायता करता है कि व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन में हम उन बातों को अनुभव भी करें। अगले लेख में हम “मसीही जीवन के स्तम्भ” में से दूसरे स्तम्भ, “संगति रखने” पर विचार करेंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Things Related to Christian Living – 18
The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 1 - Word (11)
In our on-going study about the things related to practical Christian living, we are studying the seven things given in Acts 2; and are presently considering Acts 2:42 where the four things, also known as the “Four Pillars of Christian Living” are given. The first of these four pillars is diligently and steadfastly studying God’s Word. In the past few articles, we have seen from the Bible seven reasons why every Christian Believer needs to diligently and steadfastly be engaged in studying the Bible. Today we will consider another aspect of Bible study - the effects of God’s Word in the lives of those who accord to it its proper place and priority in their lives. We will see these effects through some Biblical references, and will just comment upon them. Generally speaking, since the verses are quite clear and self-explanatory, therefore, we will not be going into any discussion or analysis of the verses.
The Effects of God’s Word in a Christian Believer’s Life
1. Psalm19:
vs.7 – “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” God’s Word restores the soul and gives wisdom to the simple.
vs.8 – “The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;” God’s Word rejoices the heart and enlightens the eye
vs.9 – “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether” God’s Word endures or stays forever, hence serves as an unchanging, perfect, and eternal standard to measure and assess all things.
vs.11 - “Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward” God’s Word gives warns and rewards the obedient.
2. Psalm 119: The whole of Psalm 119 is about the various aspects of God’s Word. Given below are few excerpts from it.
vs.1-2 - “Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart!” God’s Word is a source of blessings who follow it.
vs.7 - “I will praise You with uprightness of heart, When I learn Your righteous judgments” God’s Word teaches us to thank and praise God, and to worship Him.
vs.9,11 – “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.” “Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You!” God’s Word keeps us clean from sin and safe from sinning.
vs.98-100 - “You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the ancients, Because I keep Your precepts.” To those who abide in and obey God’s Word, it provides to them the kind of practical wisdom that cannot be acquired otherwise.
vs.105 – “Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.” God’s Word, as a lamp, enlightens our path and leads us step by step.
vs.107 – “I am afflicted very much; Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word.” God’s Word revives us in times of our afflictions and problems.
vs.111 – “Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, For they are the rejoicing of my heart.” God’s Word gives us joy, makes us rejoice.
3. Jeremiah 5:14 - “Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: Because you speak this word, Behold, I will make My words in your mouth fire, And this people wood, And it shall devour them” God’s Word, in the mouth of His people, becomes a consuming fire against their opponents.
4. Jeremiah 23:29 – “‘Is not My word like a fire?’ says the Lord, "And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” God’s Word works as a hammer that breaks the rock of unbelief against His people.
5. 2 Timothy 3:15-17 – “and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” God’s Word gives wisdom for salvation and faith in Christ; It is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. It thoroughly equips and perfects the Believers for good works.
6. Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” God’s Word pierces deeply, cuts, separates, and judges or discerns the thoughts and intents of hearts.
7. 1 Peter 1:23; 2:2 – “having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,” “as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,” God’s Word is the eternal, ever-abiding source of new life for the Believers; it is the necessary nourishment for their spiritual growth.
These are just some of the advantages of abiding in God’s Word and obeying it. As we read through, learn, abide in, and obey God’s Word under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, He will show us many more, and help us to practically experience them in our lives. In the next article we will consider the second “Pillar of Christian Living,” i.e., “Fellowship.”
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
