अन्य-भाषाएं - ?प्रार्थना की अलौकिक भाषाएं (3)

जो लोग पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में गलत धारणाएँ प्रचार करते और सिखाते हैं वे "अन्य भाषाओं में बोलने" पर बहुत बल देते हैं, और यह झूठा दावा करते हैं कि यही पवित्र आत्मा के होने का चिह्न है। हम इस "अन्य भाषाओं में बोलने" के बारे में उस खण्ड से अध्ययन कर रहे हैं, जिस में इसके पहली बार होने के बारे में बाइबल में लिखा गया है, अर्थात प्रेरितों 2:4-11। हमने पिछले लेख में देखा था कि मूल यूनानी भाषा में यहाँ पर दो भिन्न शब्द "ग्लौसा" और "डियालेकटौस" प्रयोग किए गए हैं; तथा इन शब्दों के अर्थों एवं प्रयोग के बारे में समझा था। आज हम इन दोनों शब्दों के बारे में विचार करण जारी रखेंगे और देखेंगे कि कैसे यह खण्ड किसी भी रीति से इस धारणा का कतई समर्थ नहीं करता है कि मुँह से निरर्थक, न समझ में आने वाली, और बारम्बार एक ही प्रकार की ध्वनि को उन्माद की दशा में आकर दोहराते रहना "अन्य भाषाओं में बोलना" है; अर्थात अलौकिक भाषा में बोलना है, तथा पवित्र आत्मा के होने का प्रमाण है। 

1. जैसा हम ऊपर पद 6 और 8 में देख चुके हैं, न केवल उन लोगों ने मुख्य भाषाएं बोलीं, किन्तु साथ ही उन मुख्य भाषाओं से संबंधित ‘बोलियाँ’ या उन भाषाओं के क्षेत्रीय स्वरूपों को भी बोला। किन्तु आज “अन्य-भाषा” को पृथ्वी से बाहर की भाषा कहने वालों में कभी भी उन लोगों के द्वारा कोई एक मुख्य भाषा और कुछ अन्य को उस मुख्य भाषा से संबंधित विभिन्न बोलियों को बोलने की बात देखने में नहीं आती है; अर्थात, कोई अपनी या किसी और की बोली जाने वाली “अन्य-भाषा” को किसी अन्य द्वारा बोली जाने वाली मुख्य भाषा की ‘बोली’ या क्षेत्रीय स्वरूप नहीं बताता है। उन लोगों को तो अपने द्वारा बोली जाने वाली "भाषा" का ही नाम, अर्थ, व्याकरण, आदि पता नहीं होता है, तो किसी दूसरे की भाषा या बोली के लिए क्या कहेंगे? अन्य-भाषाओं से संबंधित वचन में लिखा गया यह प्रमुख गुण, आज “अन्य-भाषाएं” बोलने के नाम पर मुँह से निरर्थक ध्वनियाँ निकालने वालों में बिलकुल दिखाई नहीं देता है, तो फिर वे कैसे अपने इस व्यवहार को “वचन के अनुसार” सही और जायज़ कह सकते हैं?

2. पद 6, 8 और 11 में लिखा है कि वहाँ एकत्रित सुनने वाले सभी यह पहचान रहे थे कि वे लोग उनकी भाषा या बोली में कुछ कह रहे हैं। यदि बोलने वाले पृथ्वी के बाहर की भाषाएं बोल रहे होते, तो फिर ये पृथ्वी के विभिन्न भौगोलिक क्षेत्रों से एकत्रित हुए यहूदी मनुष्य यह कैसे कहने पाते कि उन्हें अपनी ही भाषा सुनाई दे रही है; क्योंकि उनकी अपनी भाषा का अभिप्राय तो उनके पृथ्वी के भौगोलिक क्षेत्र की भाषा या बोली से होता? आज जो “अन्य-भाषाएं” बोलने का दावा करते हैं, न तो उन्हें खुद ही और न ही उन्हें सुनने वालों को यह पता होता है कि उन्होंने क्या कहा है! जबकि प्रेरितों 2:4-11 में, और अन्य स्थानों पर भी, वचन में सदा ही यह स्पष्ट किया गया है कि सुनने वाले समझ रहे थे कि क्या कहा जा रहा है।

3. विभिन्न देशों से आए वे यहूदी न केवल अपनी भाषा और बोली पहचान रहे थे, वरन उन्हें यह भी समझ आ रहा था कि क्या कहा जा रहा है - “परमेश्वर के बड़े-बड़े कामों की चर्चा” की जा रही है; अर्थात परमेश्वर के आराधना की जा रही है, उससे प्रार्थना नहीं की जा रही है। ध्यान कीजिए, वचन में न यहाँ पर, और न किसी अन्य स्थान पर अन्य-भाषा को प्रार्थना के लिए उपयोग किया गया दिखाया गया है। गलत शिक्षा वाले ये लोग अन्य-भाषाओं को “प्रार्थना करने की भाषा” कहकर लोगों को भरमाते हैं, जबकि वचन में ऐसा कहीं नहीं लिखा है। अपनी बात के समर्थन में वे लोग रोमियों 8:26-27 इसी रीति से आत्मा भी हमारी दुर्बलता में सहायता करता है, क्योंकि हम नहीं जानते, कि प्रार्थना किस रीति से करना चाहिए; परन्तु आत्मा आप ही ऐसी आहें भर भरकर जो बयान से बाहर है, हमारे लिये बिनती करता है। और मनों का जांचने वाला जानता है, कि आत्मा की मनसा क्या है क्योंकि वह पवित्र लोगों के लिये परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार बिनती करता है का दुरुपयोग, उसमें अपने ही शब्द और तात्पर्य डालने के द्वारा करते हैं।

अगले लेख में हम इन पदों, अर्थात रोमियों 8:26-27 के बारे में कुछ बातों को देखेंगे उनके बारे में समझेंगे, तथा कुछ और बातें देखेंगे। 

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Understanding ‘Tongues’ - ?Super-Natural Languages (3)

Those who preach and teach wrong things about the Holy Spirit, lay a great emphasis on "speaking in tongues" and falsely assert that it is the proof of the presence of the Holy Spirit. We have been studying about "speaking in tongues" from the passage where this first occurred in the Bible, i.e., Acts 2:4-11. In the last article we saw that two different words "glossa" and "dialektos" have been used here in the original Greek language, and had seen their meanings and usage. Today, we will continue considering about these two words and see how this passage does not in any way support the idea that making repetitive, illegible, and non-understandable sounds in an ecstatic state is the "speaking in tongues," i.e., in a super-natural language, and is the proof of the presence of the Holy Spirit.

1. As we have seen in verses 6 and 8 above, not only did the disciples speak the main languages, but also the “dialects” related to those main languages also. In contrast, today, amongst those speaking in “super-natural languages” we never hear of which are the main languages, and which, if any, is the “dialects” of those main languages. Regarding the many individually different sounds they make in the name of speaking in “super-natural languages”, no one ever says which is the main language and which is a dialect of that main language; for that matter no one even understands what the other one is saying. Even those who are speaking a "language" do not know the name, meaning, grammar etc. of the “language” they are speaking in; so how will they know about anyone else’s? This important proof of main languages and their dialects being simultaneously present and spoken, as given in the Word of God is never seen amongst those claiming to speak in “super-natural” languages, so how can they justify their odd behavior as being consistent with God’s Word, as they claim it to be?

2. It is written in verse 6, 8, and 11 that the people present and listening to the disciples, were all recognizing and understanding what is being said in their languages. If the disciples had been speaking in “super-natural” languages, then how could the Jewish people gathered from different geographical areas claim to hear it in their own native language; because they were saying this in context of their own regional language. Today, those who claim to speak in “tongues”, neither they themselves, nor those hearing them know or understand what they have said! But in Acts 2:4-11 and at other places also it has been clearly written that those listening could understand and know what was being spoken.

3. The Jews that had come from the various places on earth, not only recognized their own languages and dialects, but also understood what is being said - “the wonderful works of God”; in other words, God was being worshiped, He was not being prayed to. Take note, neither here, nor anywhere else has “tongues” ever been shown as a “prayer language” in the Bible. But these preachers and teachers of false things deceive and mislead people by calling it a “prayer language.” In support of their argument, they show, misinterpret and misuse Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God, by bringing in their own words and meanings into these verses.

In the next article we will further consider these verses i.e., Romans 8:26-27, and gain some more clarity about them, and see some more.

The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

पिछले लेख से हमने पवित्र आत्मा के बार में गलत धारणाएँ रखने वाले लोगों द्वारा प्रचार की और सिखाई जाने वाली एक अन्य गलत शिक्षा, "अन्य-भाषाओं में बोलना" पर विचार करना आरम्भ किया है। इन लोगों का दावा है कि उनका मुँह से निरर्थक, न समझ में आने वाली, और बारम्बार एक ही प्रकार की ध्वनि को उन्माद की दशा में आकर दोहराते रहना, पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा उन्हें दी गई अलौकिक भाषा बोलना है। ये लोग यह दावा भी करते हैं कि इस प्रकार की "भाषा" बोलना ही इस बात का प्रमाण है कि उनमें पवित्र आत्मा है, तथा यह उनमें काम कर रहे पवित्र आत्मा सामर्थ्य का प्रकटीकरण है। वे इसे प्रेरितों 2:4 में पवित्र आत्मा के उतरे पर प्रभु यीशु के शिष्यों के द्वारा अन्य भाषाओं में  बोलने क साथ जोड़ते हैं। अन्य भाषाओं में बोलने के इस विषय को समझने, और यह सीखने के लिए कि उस समय वहाँ पर वास्तव में क्या हुआ था, हमने पिछले लेख से प्रेरितों 2:4-11 को देखना आरम्भ किया है। हमने देखा था कि इस खण्ड में, मूल यूनानी भाषा में, दो भिन्न शब्द प्रयोग किए गए हैं। पद 4 और 11 में शब्द "ग्लौसा" प्रयोग किया गया है; और पद 6 तथा 8 में शब्द "डियालेकटौस" प्रयोग किया गया है। शब्दार्थ के अनुसार, शब्द ग्लौसा का अर्थ होता है जीभ, और इसे जीभ के समान आकार वाली किसी वस्तु, अथवा जीभ के द्वारा उत्पन्न की जाने वाली ध्वनियों जैसे किसी भी भाषा में बोलना, के लिए भी प्रयोग किया जाता है। शब्द डियालेकटौस का शब्दार्थ होता है जीभ के द्वारा बोली गई किसी भाषा का स्थानीय भिन्न रूप, अर्थात किसी मुख्य भाषा की एक स्थानीय बोली। आज हम इन्हीं दोनों शब्दों और उनके किए गए उपयोग पर विचार करना ज़ारी रखेंगे। 

यद्यपि यदि केवल इसके मूल अर्थ के अनुसार देखें, तो ग्लौसा शब्द जीभ या मुँह से निकलने वाले हर शब्द के लिए सही है; और इसी अभिप्राय का प्रयोग करते हुए ये गलत शिक्षाओं को देने वाले उनकी जीभ या मुँह से निकलने वाले अज्ञात और निरर्थक शब्दों को भी “भाषा” कहते हैं। किन्तु शेष पदों के साथ मिला कर, उनके सन्दर्भ में इसे देखने से यह स्पष्ट है कि इन पदों में ग्लौसा का अर्थ पृथ्वी की ज्ञात और पहचानी जाने वाली भाषा है, कोई अलौकिक भाषा, अथवा मुँह से निकाली जाने वाली कोई भी ध्वनि नहीं।

* पद 4 में लिखा है कि उस स्थान पर एकत्रित सभी जन पवित्र आत्मा से भरने के साथ ही अन्य-अन्य भाषाओं (ग्लौसा) में बोलने लग गए।

* पद 5-8 में लिखा है कि उस पिन्तेकुस्त के पर्व को मनाने के समय पर संसार के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से आए हुए यहूदी यरूशलेम में एकत्रित थे; और साथ ही उन्हें “भक्त यहूदी” कहा गया है। पद 6 और 8 में हिन्दी में जो “भाषा” लिखा गया है वह मूल यूनानी में “डियालेकटौस”, अर्थात ‘बोली’ है। यहाँ पर यदि हम मूल यूनानी भाषा के अनुसार "भाषा" के स्थान पर "बोली" को रख दें, तब इसे इससे आगे के पदों के साथ देखने के द्वारा अधिक सरलता से समझा जा सकता है। यह करण सेप्रकट हो जाता है कि वे भक्त यहूदी अचंभित होकर कहने लगे कि “इस्राएल के गलील इलाके के रहने वाले ये लोग, अपनी गलीली बोली के स्थान पर, हमारी “बोली” (डियालेकटौस) कैसे बोलने लग गए?” क्योंकि उन सभी भक्त यहूदियों को, उन शिष्यों के मुँह से अपनी-अपनी जन्म-भूमि की बोलियाँ (डियालेकटौस) सुनाई दे रही थीं।

* पद 9-10 में पृथ्वी के 15 विभिन्न क्षेत्रों या भू-भागों का नाम दिया गया है जहाँ के लोग इस घटना क घटित होने के समय यरूशलेम में एकत्रित थे। और इन सभी लोगों को - जो हजारों की संख्या में थे (3000 का तो उद्धार हुआ और उन्होंने बपतिस्मा लिया), सभी को अपनी-अपनी ग्लौसा और डियालेकटौस में सुनाई दे रहा था कि प्रभु यीशु के वे शिष्य क्या कह रहे हैं।

* पद 11 में फिर से ग्लौसा अर्थात भाषा शब्द का प्रयोग किया गया है और साथ ही पवित्र आत्मा ने यह भी और स्पष्ट कर दिया है कि क्यों यह ग्लौसा पृथ्वी की ही भाषाएं थीं, अलौकिक या दिव्य भाषाएं नहीं थीं।

इसके तीन प्रमाण पवित्र आत्मा ने यहाँ लिखवाए हैं; जिन्हें हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

Understanding ‘Tongues’ - ?Super-Natural Languages (2)

Since the last article we have started to consider another wrong teaching that is very commonly preached and taught by those believing in wrong things about the Holy Spirit, i.e., about "speaking in tongues." These people claim that the repetitive, illegible, and non-understandable sounds that they make in an ecstatic state is a super-natural language given to them by the Holy Spirit. They also claim that the ability to speak such a "language" is the proof of having the Holy Spirit in them, and is a manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit being at work in them. They associate it with the speaking in tongues by the disciples of the Lord Jesus, when the Holy Spirit came upon those disciples, as stated in Acts 2:4. To understand this matter of speaking in tongues and learn what had actually happened at that time, we have begun to consider Acts 2:4-11 since the last article. We had seen that in this passage, in the original Greek language, two different words "glossa" in verses 4 and 11, and "dialektos" in verses 6 and 8 have been used in this passage. Literally speaking, the word glossa means the tongue, and is also used for things in the shape of the tongue, and for sounds produced by the tongue as in speaking in any language. The word dialektos means a local variation of something uttered by the tongue, i.e., a dialect or a local variation of a main language. Today we will continue with considering further about these two words and their usage.

In the literal sense, since the word “glossa” can mean the sounds coming from the mouth, the preachers and teachers of the false doctrines and wrong teachings, using this sense of “glossa”, say that even the meaningless, unknown sounds coming from the mouth are a “language”. But when this is seen in context of the other verses, it becomes clear that the word “glossa” has actually been used for only the known and recognized languages of the earth; not for any supposedly super-natural language, or any sound that may come from the mouth.

* It is written in verse 4 that all the people who had gathered in that place, on being filled with the Holy Spirit, they all started to speak in “other tongues [glossa] as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

* In verses 5-8 it is written that at the time of the celebration of the feast of Pentecost, Jews from various places of the earth had gathered in Jerusalem, and they have been called “devout Jews.” In verses 6 and 8 the word used in the original Greek language is “dialektos”, which has been translated as “language” in English. If we replace the word “language” with the word “dialektos” or “dialect”, then their sense in the original language becomes clear and these verses can be better understood. Now it becomes apparent that those devout Jews on hearing the disciples speaking in “tongues”, on hearing the disciples speak in the “dialects” of their native places, were amazed and said, “how is it that these Galileans are now speaking in our “dialects” instead of their own Galilean language?”

* In verses 9-10, it is written that people from 15 different geographical areas had congregated in Jerusalem, when this incident happened. And all these people, who were in thousands (3000 was the count of just those who were saved and baptized), heard the disciples speak in their own “glossa” or “dialektos”, and understood what they were speaking.

* In verse 11 again the word “glossa” has been used; the Holy Spirit has made it even more clear here that it was the earthly languages that were being spoken, and not any supposedly super-natural languages.

The Holy Spirit has written three proofs for this, which we will see in the next article.

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. हम पिछले लेखों से देखते आ रहे हैं कि बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों की एक पहचान यह भी है कि वे बहुत सरलता से भ्रामक शिक्षाओं में बहकाए भटकाए जाते हैं। इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं को शैतान और उस के दूत झूठे प्रेरितों, धर्म के सेवकों, और प्रभु के लोगों का भेस धारण कर के प्रस्तुत करते हैं। ये लोग और उनकी शिक्षाएं आकर्षक, रोचक, और ज्ञानवान, यहाँ तक कि भक्तिपूर्ण और श्रद्धापूर्ण भी प्रतीत हो सकती हैं, किन्तु उनमें अवश्य ही बाइबल की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डाली हुई होती हैं। इन गलत या भ्रामक शिक्षाओं के मुख्य स्वरूपों के बारे में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है कि इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं के, गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन स्वरूप होते हैं, यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता। इस पद से प्रकट है कि ये गलत शिक्षाएं मुख्यतः तीन विषयों, प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवीर आत्मा, और सुसमाचार  से सम्बन्धित होती हैं, जिन्हें शैतान और उसके लोग प्रभु यीशु के झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्‍वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं। सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए इन तीनों स्वरूपों के साथ इस पद में एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है। इस पद में लिखा है कि शैतान की युक्तियों के तीनों विषयों, प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य है वह वचन में पहले से ही बता दिया गया है।

पिछले लेखों में हमने इन लोगों के द्वारा प्रभु यीशु से संबंधित सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं के बाद, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित सामान्यतः बताई और सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं की वास्तविकता को वचन की बातों से देखना आरंभ किया है। हम देख चुके हैं कि प्रत्येक सच्चे मसीही विश्वासी के नया जन्म या उद्धार पाते ही, तुरंत उसके उद्धार पाने के पल से ही परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा अपनी संपूर्णता में आकर उसके अंदर निवास करने लगता है, और उसी में बना रहता है, उसे कभी छोड़ कर नहीं जाता है। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि बाइबल इसी को पवित्र आत्मा से भरना या पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा पाना भी कहती है। वचन स्पष्ट है कि पवित्र आत्मा से भरना या उससे बपतिस्मा पाना कोई दूसरा या अतिरिक्त अनुभव नहीं है, उद्धार के साथ ही सच्चे मसीही विश्वासी में पवित्र आत्मा का आकर निवास करना ही है। इन गलत शिक्षकों की एक और बहुत प्रचलित और बल पूर्वक कही जाने वाले बात है “अन्य-भाषाओं” में बोलना, और उन लोगों के द्वारा “अन्य-भाषाओं” को अलौकिक भाषाएं बताना। यह भी एक ऐसी गलत शिक्षा है जिसका वचन से कोई समर्थन या आधार नहीं है। आज हम इसी के विषय परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल से देखेंगे।

अन्य-भाषाओं के विषय सीखने और समझने के लिए हमें उनके प्रभु यीशु के शिष्यों के मध्य पहले प्रकटीकरण, प्रेरितों 2:4-11 का, उसके संदर्भ और वहाँ पर “भाषा” के लिए प्रयोग किए गए मूल यूनानी भाषा के शब्दों का उनके अर्थ के साथ विश्लेषण करना आवश्यक है। यह करने के बाद ही हम सही निष्कर्ष पर पहुँच सकते हैं। प्रेरितों के काम के इस खंड (प्रेरितों 2:4-11) में, इन पदों में, मूल यूनानी भाषा में दो महत्वपूर्ण शब्द प्रयोग किए गए हैं, किन्तु हिन्दी में दोनों ही का अनुवाद “भाषा” किया गया है। ये शब्द हैं ग्लौसा (Tongue/Glossa), जिसका यहाँ पर और वचन में अन्य स्थानों पर, मनुष्यों द्वारा बोली जाने वाली कोई भाषा के अर्थ में प्रयोग किया गया है। वास्तव में ग्लौसा शब्द का शब्दार्थ होता है “जीभ”; और इसे “जीभ के समान दिखने वाली” किसी वस्तु के लिए भी प्रयोग किया जाता है, जैसा कि पद 3 में हुआ है; और इसे जीभ से निकलने वाले शब्द या स्वरों के लिए भी प्रयोग किया जाता है। और इन पदों में प्रयोग किया गया दूसरा शब्द है डियालेकटौस (Language/Dialektos), बोली, जिसका अर्थ किसी बोली जाने वाली मुख्य भाषा का एक उप-स्वरूप या ‘बोली’ होता है। उदाहरण के लिए पूरे उत्तर भारत में बोली जाने वाली भाषा “हिन्दी” है; उत्तराखंड के मैदानी इलाकों से लेकर पूर्व में बिहार तक हिन्दी ही बोली जाती है। किन्तु जैसे-जैसे भौगोलिक क्षेत्र बदलते हैं, उस हिन्दी का स्वरूप भिन्न होता जाता है, मुख्य हिन्दी भाषा की बोलियाँ भिन्न होती चली जाती हैं। और हिन्दी की उन बोलियों के द्वारा यह पहचाना जा सकता है कि हिन्दी बोलने वाला वह व्यक्ति उत्तर भारत के किस क्षेत्र का है। अर्थात मुख्य भाषा का ही एक भिन्न स्वरूप बोली है। पद 4 और 11 में मुख्य भाषा दिखाने वाला शब्द गलौसा शब्द प्रयोग किया गया है; किन्तु, पद 6 और 8 में मुख्य भाषा के भिन्न स्वरूप “बोली” को दिखाने वाला शब्द डियालेकटौस प्रयोग किया गया है।

हम इन शब्दों का विश्लेषण करने और इनके प्रयोग किए जाने को अगले लेख में देखना और समझना ज़ारी रखेंगे, और देखेंगे कि परमेश्वर के वचन में यह "भाषा" का कोई असमंजस नहीं है। जो भी असमंजस है, वह केवल कुछ मत और डिनॉमिनेशनों के द्वारा दी जाने वाली झूठी शिक्षाओं और गलत सिद्धान्तों के कारण है।

Understanding ‘Tongues’ - ?Super-Natural Languages (1)

We have been seeing from the previous articles that one of the characteristics of child-like immature Christians is that they are very easily misled into deceptive and false teachings. Satan and his followers disguise themselves as false apostles, ministers of righteousness, and servants of the Lord to present these deceptive, false teachings. These deceivers and their teachings are attractive, appealing, seemingly knowledgeable, and even have an appearance of being reverential and righteous; but there will always be some extra-Biblical teachings cleverly mixed up in them. About these deceptive, false teachings, God the Holy Spirit had it written through the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! that they are mainly about three topics, the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel. To recognize the truth and escape falling for Satan’s deception, along with these three topics, a very important point for proper discernment has also been stated in this verse: the facts and truth about these three have already been given in God’s Word. Therefore, anything that is not already in God’s Word is satanic, a corruption brought in by the false teachers, and is not to be accepted.

In the preceding articles we had first seen the various false teachings spread about the Lord Jesus, and had then started to look into the false teachings about the Holy Spirit. We have seen that the Holy Spirit is given to every truly Born-Again Christian Believer at the moment of his being saved; God the Holy Spirit comes to reside in him forever in all His fullness, and never leaves him. We have also seen that the Word of God is very clear that being “filled with the Holy Spirit” and “baptism with the Holy Spirit” are not “second experiences” or something extra, but just the same as the Holy Spirit coming to reside in the Believer on being saved; and Biblically there is nothing like the very emphatically preached and taught “Baptism of the Holy Spirit.” This too is a false teaching that has no basis or affirmation from the Word of God. From today we will consider the facts and truth from the Word of God, regarding another related wrong teaching, again insisted upon and very emphatically taught by these preachers and teachers of false doctrines - the “speaking in tongues” and the claims of these preachers that these are super-natural languages.

To understand and learn about “tongues” we will have to look into their first appearance amongst the disciples of the Lord Jesus in Acts 2:4-11; and understand it in its context, as well as with the meanings of the words used in the original Greek language and translated as “tongues.” In this passage, Acts 2:4-11, in the original Greek language, two very important but different words have been used, and they have both been translated as "tongues or languages." These words are “glossa,” which here and at other places has been translated to convey a language spoken by human beings, and the second word used in these verses is “dialektos” which literally means a sub-language or dialect of a main earthly language. The word glossa literally means the tongue - the organ in the mouth, or something of a similar shape, e.g., the “tongues” of fire that came to rest upon the disciples in Acts 1:3; it is also used to denote the sounds that come out of the mouth. The word “dialektos” means a “dialect”, i.e., a local variation of the mainly spoken language of a region; as the geographical location changes, often there is also a corresponding change in the dialect, though the main language remains the same; and through the dialect the native place of a person can be inferred. In the passage we are considering, Acts 2:4-11, the word “glossa” has been used in verses 4 and 11; and the word “dialektos” has been used in verses 6 and 8.

We will continue analyzing and understanding the use of these words further, in the next article, and see that there is no confusion in God's Word about this matter of "tongues." The confusion has only come about because of the false doctrines and wrong teachings created and spread by some sects and denominations.

पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा समझना (3)

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था वाक्यांश "पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा" बाइबल में कहीं नहीं आया है, वरन् जहाँ भी आया है "पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा" ही आया है; तथा 'का' के प्रयोग वाली सभी शिक्षाएं गलत हैं। हमने बाइबल में से पदों और वाक्यांशों को भी देखा था और ध्यान किया था कि 'से' के स्थान पर 'का' लगा देने से वाक्यांश का पूरा अर्थ ही बदल जाता है और गलत व्याख्या करने तथा झूठी शिक्षाओं के लिए अवसर खुल जाते हैं। आज हम इसे और आगे देखेंगे तथा बाइबल के व्यावहारिक उदाहरणों से समझेंगे कि "पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा" की अनिवार्यता को सिखाने वाली कोई शिक्षा बाइबल में कहीं नहीं है। 

बहुधा, इस बपतिस्मे के विषय लोगों में यह धारणा दी जाती है कि यह बपतिस्मा पाना पवित्र आत्मा पाने से पृथक, एक अतिरिक्त (extra) अनुभव है, जो मसीही विश्वासी को सामान्य से और अधिक सक्षम करता है, उसे परमेश्वर के लिए और अधिक उपयोगी और सामर्थी बनाता है। इसलिए जो प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी होना चाहता है, या सामर्थ्य के कार्य करना चाहता है, उसे प्रभु से यह अनुभव प्राप्त करना चाहिए, इसके लिए प्रयास और प्रार्थना करनी चाहिए। जबकि सत्य यह है कि बाइबल में ऐसी कोई शिक्षा कहीं पर भी नहीं दी गई है। ध्यान करें, न तो उन 3000 प्रथम विश्वासियों से, जिन्होंने पतरस के प्रचार पर विश्वास के द्वारा उद्धार पाया यह, या ऐसी कोई भी बात कही गई, और न ही पौलुस, या पतरस, या अन्य किसी प्रेरित अथवा प्रचारक के द्वारा कभी भी कहीं भी उनकी अपनी सेवकाई के विषय में कहा गया कि उसने एक अतिरिक्त “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” पाया था, जिसके फलस्वरूप वह और अधिक सामर्थी होकर प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी हो सका। न ही उन्होंने कभी यह शिक्षा अथवा प्रचार किया कि विश्वासियों को प्रभु के लिए अधिक उपयोगी होने, सामर्थी हों के लिए एक अतिरिक्त "पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा" लेना होगा। क्या उन आरंभिक प्रेरितों और प्रभु के शिष्यों से अधिक सामर्थी सेवकाई किसी की हो सकती है, जिन्होंने सारे संसार में सुसमाचार फैला दिया और संसार को उलट-पुलट कर दिया (प्रेरितों 17:6)? किन्तु उन्हें कभी कोई अतिरिक्त “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” पाने की आवश्यकता नहीं पड़ी, और न ही उसका कोई परचा किया, कोई शिक्षा दी; तो फिर आज यह आवश्यकता क्यों होगी? साथ ही पौलुस ने कहा कि मसीही विश्वासी उस के समान प्रभु यीशु का अनुसरण करें (1 कुरिन्थियों 4:16-17; 11:1; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 4:1); अर्थात जो उसके समान प्रभु यीशु का अनुसरण करेगा, वह उसके समान प्रभु के लिए प्रभावी और उपयोगी भी होगा। यही एक तथ्य अपने आप में इस “पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा” पाने की आवश्यकता एवं औचित्य से संबंधित गलत शिक्षा के व्यर्थ एवं अनुचित होने को स्पष्ट दिखा देता है।

प्रेरितों 1:5 का वाक्य, प्रभु द्वारा पद 4 में कही जा रही बात का ही ज़ारी रखा जाना है, कि पवित्र आत्मा को प्राप्त करना औ उससे बपतिस्मा पान एक ही बात है; और प्रभु की बात में कोई चकराने वाली बात (confusion) नहीं है। यदि कोई असमंजस है तो वह इस पद में झूठी शिक्षाएं ले आन और इस तोड़-मरोड़ कर प्रस्तुत करने के कार्य है। प्रभु ने सीधे और साफ शब्दों में पद 4 की प्रतिज्ञा - उन शिष्यों के द्वारा पवित्र आत्मा को प्राप्त करना, और उसको ही पद 5 में पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा पाना कहा है, जिसकी पुष्टि एक बार फिर से पद 8 में प्रभु की बात से हो जाती है।

न ही प्रभु ने यहाँ, प्रेरितों 1:4-8 में, न ही अन्य किसी स्थान पर प्रभु ने किसी से भी यह नहीं कहा कि “पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त कर लेने के बाद, प्रयास और प्रार्थना करना कि तुम्हें पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा भी मिल जाए; उसके लिए यत्न करते रहना, जिससे तुम और भी अधिक सामर्थी होकर सेवकाई कर सको।” अर्थात, उन शिष्यों को यह विशेष बपतिस्मा पाने के लिए अपनी ओर से और कुछ नहीं करना था; कोई लालसा नहीं, कोई प्रतीक्षा नहीं, कोई प्रयास नहीं, कोई प्रार्थना नहीं। जो होना था वह प्रभु के द्वारा स्वतः ही किया जाना था; यह उनके किसी कार्य के परिणाम स्वरूप नहीं होना था; प्रभु ने ही अपने समय और इच्छ के अनुसार पवित्र आत्मा क दें था। इस पद में ऐसा कोई संकेत भी नहीं है जिससे यह आभास हो कि पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करना और पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा पाना कोई दो पृथक कार्य अथवा अनुभव हैं। यह बिलकुल स्पष्ट है कि प्रेरितों 1:4 और 5 में एक ही बात को दो विभिन्न प्रकार से व्यक्त किया गया है।

जैसे हम पहले भी देख चुके हैं, पवित्र आत्मा कोई वस्तु नहीं है जिसे विभाजित करके टुकड़ों में या अंश-अंश करके दिया जा सके। वह ईश्वरीय व्यक्ति है, और जब भी, जिसे भी दिया जाता है, उसमें वह अपनी संपूर्णता में ही वास करता है, टुकड़ों में नहीं (यूहन्ना 3:34)। तो यदि प्रेरितों 1:4 की प्रतिज्ञा के अनुसार शिष्यों को जब पवित्र आत्मा एक बार मिल जाएगा, तो फिर पद 5 में यदि पवित्र आत्मा का बपतिस्मा यदि कोई अलग अनुभव, अलग सामर्थ्य पाना है, तो फिर उस संपूर्णता में मिले हुए पवित्र आत्मा के विश्वासी के अंदर विद्यमान होने के बाद, अब और क्या सामर्थ्य दिया जाना शेष है, जो विश्वासी को विश्वास करने के साथ नहीं दिया गया?

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित इन गलत शिक्षाओं में न पड़ जाएं; न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाले ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर भी ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें। यदि आप इन गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ चुके हैं, तो अभी वचन के अध्ययन और बात को जाँच-परख कर, सही शिक्षा को, उसी के पालन को अपना लें।

Understanding Baptism With The Holy Spirit (3)

In the previous article we saw that the phrase “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” does not occur anywhere in the Bible; instead, it is always “Baptism with the Holy Spirit;” and all teachings related to use of 'of' are wrong. We had also seen the actual verses and phrases given in the Bible and noted that replacing the Biblical 'with' by 'of' changes the whole meaning of the phrase and opens the opportunities for misinterpretation and false teachings. Today we will understand this further through some other practical Biblical examples that confirm the non-existence of any teaching on the necessity of the “Baptism of the Holy Spirit.”

Quite commonly it is said that this “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” is a separate experience, a different thing, that empowers a Christian Believer from the ordinary to being extra-ordinary, and makes him much more useful and powerful for the Lord. Therefore, he who wants to become useful for the Lord, and wants to do miraculous or extraordinary works, should pray for this experience from the Lord. But the fact is that there is no such teaching or instruction anywhere in the Bible. Remember, neither to the 3000 first Believers, who accepted the Lord at the first preaching of Peter in Acts 2, was any such teaching or instruction given; nor did Paul, or Peter, or any other apostle or preacher of the gospel ever preach or teach that because they received a separate "Baptism of the Holy Spirit" therefore, they could be so effective for the Lord. Nor did they ever give any such instructions that the Believers strive to receive “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” as a separate or another experience, after salvation, so that they may become more powerful and useful for the Lord. Could anyone have a more powerful or more useful ministry than that of those initial Apostles and disciples of Christ, who in a short period of time preached the gospel in the whole world and turned the world upside down (Acts 17:6)? But they never required, asked for, or preached a separate “Baptism of the Holy Spirit”; they never needed anything like it, so why would it be required today? The Apostle Paul has written that the Christian Believers should emulate him in following the Lord (1 Corinthians 4:16-17; 11:1; 1 Thessalonians 4:1); clearly implying that those who would emulate him in following the Lord Jesus, will also be effective and powerful as he was in the ministry for the Lord. This one fact is sufficient to expose this teaching of “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” being false, and of this notion being vain and unacceptable.

As stated above, Acts 1:5 is a continuation of what the Lord Jesus was saying in Acts 1:4, i.e. receiving the Holy Spirit and being baptized with the Holy Spirit are one and the same thing; there is nothing confusing or cryptic here. Any confusion that is there, is because of the manipulation and false teachings being brought into this verse. The Lord Jesus has very clearly, in simple straightforward language, told His disciples that the receiving the Holy Spirit is in verse 4, and being baptized with the Holy Spirit in verse 5 are one and the same thing, which is then affirmed once again in verse 8, another statement of the Lord about this.

Neither here in Acts 1:4-8, nor at any other place, did the Lord ever say to anyone anything to the effect that “after receiving the Holy Spirit, strive and pray that you may also receive a baptism of the Holy Spirit; keep trying for it, so that you may become empowered to do the ministry more effectively.” The disciples were not told by the Lord to do nothing extra or special to receive this baptism; they did not have to desire it, nor wait for it, nor pray and plead for it. Whatever was to happen, was to be from the Lord and He would give the Holy Spirit as and when He wanted; their prayers, pleadings, and works of any kind for this to happen was neither asked for, nor of any use. There is absolutely nothing in these verses from Acts to even indicate that receiving the Holy Spirit and baptism with the Holy Spirit are two different things or experiences. It is very clear and evident that Acts 1:4 and 5 are about one and the same thing, only stated in different words.

As we have seen previously, the Holy Spirit is not a “thing” that can be divided or broken into bits and pieces and then distributed in parts or small measures. He is a divine person, and whenever He is given, to whoever He is given, He is given as whole, not in fragments (John 3:34). Therefore, if according to the promise of Acts 1:4, He was given to the disciples once in all His fullness and power with all His qualities and characteristics; and, if the baptism with the Holy Spirit of verse 5 is a different experience, then what extra is left of the Holy Spirit to give to the Believer, that the Believer has not already received initially when the Holy Spirit came to reside in him forever?

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is essential for you to understand, learn, and know that you have not fallen for these wrong teachings about the Holy Spirit. Neither should you be misled, nor should anyone else be misled by you. Do not go by what people say, preach, and teach; but only go by what the Word of God says, evaluating, examining, and cross-checking every message and teaching from the Word of God. If you have already fallen for these wrong teachings, then first confirm what you have believed in, from the Bible, then accept the truth and reject the corruption and false teachings and come out of all wrong concepts.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
