रूपक – 7 - परमेश्वर का भवन - भाग 1

 

    हमने पिछले लेखों में देखा है कि प्रत्येक सच्चे नया-जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर ने उद्धार के साथ-साथ, कुछ और प्रावधान भी दिये हैं। परमेश्वर ने उसे अपना वचन दिया है; अपना पवित्र आत्मा दिया है; अपनी कलीसिया और अपने अन्य बच्चों की सहभागिता दी है; और एक या अधिक आत्मिक वरदान दिए हैं। यह सभी इसलिए ताकि वह अपना मसीही जीवन भली-भांति जी सके, और परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे दी गई जिम्मेदारियों और सेवकाई को योग्य रीति से पूरा कर सके। प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को अपने मसीही जीवन का और उसे सौंपी गई जिम्मेदारियों का हिसाब परमेश्वर को देना होगा (रोमियों 14:12; 2 कुरिन्थियों 5:10)। उसे अनन्त काल के प्रतिफल देने के लिये, उसका प्रत्येक कार्य  बारीकी से परखा जाएगा (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:13-15)। इस लिए, यह स्वाभाविक है कि वह परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे मसीही जीवन जीने और ज़िम्मेदारियों को पूरा करने के लिये दिये गए प्रावधानों के लिये भी जवाबदेह होगा। इसलिए, प्रत्येक विश्वासी को परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे दिए गए इन विशेषाधिकारों और प्रावधानों का एक योग्य भण्डारी होना है, उनके विषय में सीखना है। पिछले लेखों में परमेश्वर के वचन और उसके पवित्र आत्मा के विषय में सीख लेने के बाद, अब हम कलीसिया और उसके सदस्यों के साथ सहभागिता के प्रति भण्डारीपन के विषय में सीख रहे हैं। हम यह कार्य बाइबल में कलीसिया के लिए दिए गए विभिन्न रूपकों के माध्यम से कर रहे हैं। जिन सात रूपकों को हमने प्रारम्भ में सूचीबद्ध किया था, उनमें से छह रूपकों पर हम पिछले लेखों में विचार कर चुके हैं। आज हम उस सूची के अंतिम, सातवें रूपक, पर विचार करेंगे — अर्थात् कलीसिया परमेश्वर की रचना (भवन) है। क्योंकि यह चर्चा कुछ लम्बी है, इसलिए इसे हम दो भागों में पूरा करेंगे।

(7) परमेश्वर का भवन – भाग 1

    विश्वासियों को दो स्थानों पर परमेश्वर की रचना (भवन) कहा गया है:

• 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:9-10 - क्योंकि हम परमेश्वर के सहकर्मी हैं; तुम परमेश्वर की खेती और परमेश्वर की रचना हो। परमेश्वर के उस अनुग्रह के अनुसार, जो मुझे दिया गया, मैं ने बुद्धिमान राज-मिस्त्री के समान नेव डाली, और दूसरा उस पर रद्दा रखता है; परन्तु हर एक मनुष्य चौकस रहे, कि वह उस पर कैसा रद्दा रखता है।

• इफिसियों 2:19-:22 इसलिये तुम अब विदेशी और मुसाफिर नहीं रहे, परन्तु पवित्र लोगों के संगी स्‍वदेशी और परमेश्वर के घराने के हो गए। और प्रेरितों और भविष्यद्वक्ताओं की नेव पर जिसके कोने का पत्थर मसीह यीशु आप ही है, बनाए गए हो। जिस में सारी रचना एक साथ मिलकर प्रभु में एक पवित्र मन्दिर बनती जाती है। जिस में तुम भी आत्मा के द्वारा परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान होने के लिये एक साथ बनाए जाते हो।

 

    नया-जन्म पाए हुए विश्वासियों के परमेश्वर की रचना (भवन) होने के इन दोनों संदर्भों में इस बात पर ध्यान दीजिए कि इसे किसी पूर्ण हो चुके कार्य के रूप में नहीं, बल्कि एक निरंतर चलने वाली प्रक्रिया के रूप में बताया गया है। दूसरे शब्दों में, कलीसिया अथवा परमेश्वर की रचना (भवन) अभी भी “निर्माणाधीन” है। विश्वासी इसमें जोड़े जा रहे हैं, और जिन लोगों को जो कार्य सौंपा गया है वे उस निर्माण में अपना निर्धारित कार्य कर रहे हैं। पौलुस 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:10 में कहता है कि, “मैं ने बुद्धिमान राजमिस्री की नाईं नेव डाली, और दूसरा उस पर रद्दा रखता है।” अर्थात्, कार्य अलग-अलग लोगों के द्वारा क्रमवार किया जा रहा है। इसी प्रकार इफिसियों 2:22 में वह लिखता है, “तुम भी साथ बनाए जाते हो;” अर्थात्, भिन्न लोग साथ मिल कर एक ही कार्य को पूरा कर रहे हैं। कलीसिया और उसके सदस्यों पर प्रायः उनकी अपूर्णताओं और दुर्बलताओं के कारण आरोप लगाए जाते हैं और उनकी आलोचना की जाती है कि यदि वे वास्तव में परमेश्वर के होते, तो उन्हें “सिद्ध” या त्रुटिहीन होना चाहिए था। परन्तु यह एक गलत धारणा पर आधारित मिथ्या आलोचना है, जिसे तीन तथ्यों के आधार पर समझा जा सकता है।

    जैसा कि हम यहाँ देखते हैं, पहली बात यह है कि कलीसिया अभी भी “निर्माणाधीन” है, इसलिए अधूरी है और उसमें कमी-घटी अवश्य मिलेंगी। दूसरी बात, प्रत्येक नया-जन्मा मसीही विश्वासी अपने मसीही जीवन की शुरुआत एक आत्मिक शिशु के रूप में करता है (1 पतरस 2:2), और धीरे-धीरे प्रभु के स्वरूप में परिवर्तित होता जाता है (2 कुरिन्थियों 3:18); इसलिए उसमें कुछ न कुछ असिद्धता और अपरिपक्वता भी अवश्य मिलेगी। तीसरी बात, जैसा कि हमने तीसरे रूपक “परमेश्वर की खेती” पर विचार करते समय देखा था, शैतान ने कलीसिया में अपने “जंगली बीज” बो दिए हैं, जो वर्तमान में परमेश्वर द्वारा बोए गए अच्छे बीज के साथ ही बढ़ रहे हैं। अभी के लिये, परमेश्वर ने जंगली बीजों को अच्छे बीजों के साथ बढ़ने दिया है, परन्तु न्याय के समय वे अनन्त विनाश के लिये अलग कर दिये जाएँगे। परन्तु अभी के लिए, परमेश्वर की खेती, उसकी कलीसिया में, भले और बुरे साथ-साथ देखे ही जाएंगे। इसलिए, इन तीनों तथ्यों का मिला-जुला प्रभाव है कि कलीसिया और विश्वासी अपूर्ण, असिद्ध, और बहुधा बहुत सी बातों में निराश करने वाले प्रतीत होते हैं। परन्तु परमेश्वर अब भी अपनी कलीसिया में कार्य कर रहा है; अभी यह रचना (भवन) आत्मा के द्वारा परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान होने के लिये बनाई जा रही है।

    अब एक और बात पर ध्यान दीजिए जिसे पवित्र आत्मा ने पौलुस से 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:10 में लिखवाया — “मैं ने बुद्धिमान राज-मिस्त्री के समान नेव डाली, और दूसरा उस पर रद्दा रखता है।” दूसरे शब्दों में, यह कार्य परमेश्वर द्वारा नियुक्त विभिन्न मजदूरों के सामूहिक प्रयास का परिणाम है। न तो पौलुस और न ही कोई अन्य इसे स्वयं ही सम्पूर्ण कर सकता था; उन सभी ने या तो अन्य लोगों के साथ मिल कर, या फिर किसी अन्य के द्वारा किये गए कार्य पर आगे बनाया। यह विश्वासियों की मनुष्यों के अनुयायी बनने की प्रवृत्ति को बहुत बलपूर्वक अस्वीकार करता है, जिसकी पौलुस ने पहले भी कड़े शब्दों में निन्दा की है (1 कुरिन्थियों 1:10-13; 3:3-4)। परमेश्वर की रचना (भवन) में, न तो कोई सेवक, और न ही कलीसिया-सभा का कोई भी सदस्य, परमेश्वर की कलीसिया में कार्य करने वाले किसी भी कार्यकर्ता को अपनी ओर से कोई उच्च स्थान प्रदान कर सकता है या उसे अनुचित रीति से औरों से बढ़कर मान सकता है, और न ही उस मनुष्य का अनुसरण करने के लिए स्वयं या औरों को कह सकता है। सभी कार्यकर्ता सहकर्मी हैं, सभी अपने निर्धारित समय और स्थान पर निर्धारित कार्य को कर रहे हैं। पौलुस ने इस बात की पुष्टि अपने साथ कार्य करने वालों को “सहकर्मी” कहने के द्वारा की (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:9, तथा अपनी पत्रियों में अनेकों अन्य स्थानों पर भी); इसी प्रकार से पतरस ने (1 पतरस 5:1), और यूहन्ना ने भी कहा है (3 यूहन्ना 1:8)। कलीसिया में परमेश्वर ने जिन्हें पद-अधिकारी बनाया है, उन्हें भी इस ज़िम्मेदारी को नम्रता के साथ अधिकारी नहीं, सेवक होकर निभाना है (1 पतरस 5:1-3)। 

    हम इस विषय पर यह चर्चा अगले लेख में जारी रखेंगे। 

    यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो यह ध्यान रखिए कि अन्ततः, एक दिन, आपको अपने जीवन और कार्यों का संपूर्ण हिसाब प्रभु यीशु को देना होगा। प्रभु के धैर्य और विलंब से कोप करने का अर्थ उसका कभी कोप न करना, कभी हिसाब न लेना, नहीं है। उद्धार पाया हुए मसीही विश्वासी का उद्धार तो कभी नहीं जाएगा, किन्तु उसे अनन्तकाल के लिए मिलने वाले प्रतिफलों पर उसके जीवन और कार्यों पर दुष्प्रभाव अवश्य आएगा (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:13-15)।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Metaphor – 7 - God’s Building - Part 1

 

    We have seen in the previous articles that along with salvation, to every truly Born-Again Christian Believer, God has given some other provisions as well. God has given His Word; His Holy Spirit; His Church and the fellowship of His other children; and one or more spiritual gifts. All this is to help him live his Christian life and worthily fulfill his God given responsibilities and ministry. Every Christian Believer will have to give an account of his life and of the responsibilities entrusted to him to God (Romans 14:12; 2 Corinthians 5:10). All his works will be examined very minutely for the eternal rewards he should get (1 Corinthians 3:13-15) Therefore, it is only natural that he will also be accountable for the provisions given to him by God, to live his Christian life and fulfill his responsibilities. Hence, every Believer must also be a worthy steward of these privileges granted to him by God, and to learn about them. Having learnt about God’ Word and His Holy Spirit in the earlier articles, we are now learning about stewardship of the Church and fellowship with the members of the Church. We are doing this through the various metaphors given in the Bible for the Church. Of the seven metaphors we had listed initially, we have so far considered six metaphors in the previous articles. Today we will consider the final, the seventh metaphor of the list, the Church being God’s Building. Since this is a somewhat long discussion, therefore, we will consider it in two parts.

(7) God’s Building - Part 1

    The Believers have been referred to God’s building at two places:

• 1 Corinthians 3:9-10 - For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed, how he builds on it.

• Ephesians 2:19-22 - Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

    In both these references of the Born-Again Believers being God’s building, take note that it has not been referred to a completed work, but an ongoing process. In other words, the Church, or God’s building, is still “under-construction.” Believers are being added to it, and the designated people are carrying out their assigned jobs in the building. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:10 that he has laid the foundation, “and another builds on it;” implying that the work is being done sequentially by different people. Similarly in Ephesians 2:22 he writes “you also are being built together;” implying that different people are working together to do one task. The Church and its members are often accused of and criticized for their imperfections and fallibilities, instead of being “perfect” or impeccable, had they indeed belonged to God. But this is a false criticism, based on an erroneous notion, which can be understood through three facts. 

    As we see here, the Church is still “under-construction;” therefore is incomplete, and there will be imperfections in it. Secondly, as we have seen earlier, every Born-Again Christian Believer, starts his Christian life as a spiritual infant (1 Peter 2:2), and gradually, bit by bit, matures under the guidance of the Holy Spirit into the likeness of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18); therefore, there will always be some imperfection and immaturity, to some extent or the other, in him. Thirdly, as we saw while considering the third metaphor of the Church being the "Field of God,” Satan has sown his “tares” into the Church, which presently are growing alongside and mingled with the good seed planted by God. God has allowed the tares to grow with the good seed for now, but they will be separated away for eternal destruction at the judgement time. But for now, there will always be good and bad side by side in God’s field, the Church. Therefore, the collective effect of these three facts is that the Church and Believers appear to be imperfect, fallible, and often disappointing in various ways. But God is still at work in His Church, His family; presently, the building is “being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”

    Take note of another thing the Holy Spirit has had Paul write down in 1 Corinthians 3:10 “as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it.” In other words, this work is a collective effort of various God appointed laborers. Neither Paul, nor anyone else could do it all on his own; they all built along with each other, or upon what the others have done. This very strongly rejects the tendency of Believers to become followers of men - which Paul has already spoken strongly against (1 Corinthians 1:10-13; 3:3-4). In God’s Building, no minister, nor any member of the congregation can accord any superiority or undue importance to any worker in God’s Church, on their own, nor can he ask self or others to be a follower of that person. The laborers are all fellow workers, doing their assigned work, at the given time and place; and Paul has affirmed this by addressing his colleagues in ministry as his “fellow workers” (1 Corinthians 3:9, and many other times in his letters); so have Peter (1 Peter 5:1), and John (3 John 1:8). Those whom God has made officials in the Church, they too are to fulfill this responsibility humbly, not as officers, but as ministers (1 Peter 5:1-3).

    We will continue considering this topic in the next article.

    If you are a Christian Believer, then keep in mind that eventually, one day you will have to stand before the Lord Jesus and give an account of your life to Him. The present attitude of patience, forbearance, and long-suffering of the Lord does not mean that He will never take an account and will never appropriately deal with the disobedient and careless. While it is true that a Christian Believer will never lose his salvation; but his carelessness and disobedience surely will quite adversely affect his eternal rewards (1 Corinthians 3:13-15).

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

बाइबल और जीव-विज्ञान के मध्य सम्बन्ध पर ज़ारी इस चर्चा के अंतर्गत पिछले कुछ लेखों में हम देख चुके हैं कि विज्ञान न तो परमेश्वर और उसके वचन बाइबल के विरुद्ध है, और ना ही परमेश्वर के अस्तित्व और बाइबल की सच्चाई को नकारता है। विज्ञान सृष्टि की हर बात का विश्लेषण करने, उस की रचना के बारे में जानकारी एकत्रित करने, उस की कार्य-विधि को समझने और समझाने का केवल एक साधन मात्र है, तो तथ्यों को प्रकट करता है। उन तथ्यों की व्याख्या करना, उन पर आधारित निशकर्ष निकालना, उनके अनुसार धारणाएँ प्रस्तुत करना मनुष्यों - वैज्ञानिकों का कार्य है। जैसे जैसे और नई जानकारी प्रकट होती जाती है, वैज्ञानिक अपनी व्याख्या, अपने निष्कर्ष और धारणाएँ भी बदलते चले जाते हैं, कहीं सुधार होता है, तो कहीं पुरानी को पूर्णतः हटाकर नई और बिलकुल भिन्न बात सामने रख दी जाती है। जिस प्रकार से किसी रची हुई वस्तु के बारे में जानकारी मिल जाना इस बात का प्रमाण नहीं हो जाता है कि उसका कोई रचनाकर नहीं था, और न ही यह दिखाता है कि अब, उसके बारे में पता चल जाने के बाद से वह वस्तु स्वचालित रहेगी, स्वतः ही अपने जैसी और बनाती रहेगी, अपने और उन्नत संसकरण उत्पन्न करती रहेगी। उसी प्रकार से परमेश्वर की सृष्टि से सम्बन्धित जानकारी खोज लेने से यह प्रमाणित नहीं हो जाता है कि परमेश्वर नहीं है, सृजी गई वस्तुएँ स्वचालित, स्वयं उन्नत होती चली जाने वाली हैं। वास्तव में इस प्रकार की परमेश्वर और बाइबल विरोधी धारणाएँ उन लोगों ने जानबूझकर बनाई और फैलाई हैं जो किसी भी प्रकार से परमेश्वर और बाइबल को नकारना चाहते हैं। इसके लिये वे कुछ तथ्यों को दबा देते हैं, कुछ की, निष्पक्ष नहीं वरन् अपने ही दृष्टिकोण और उद्देश्य के अनुसार व्याख्या करते और फैलाते हैं, और विज्ञान के नाम पर जन सामान्य में बातों को वास्तविकता से भिन्न प्रस्तुत करते हैं। इसके उदाहरण हम आज के इस लेख में देखेंगे; और इसी विषय को अगले लेख में भी ज़ारी रखेंगे। 

क्रमिक विकासवाद का दावा है कि समय के साथ, जीव-जंतुओं में होनी वाली आकस्मिक क्रियाएं उन्हें धीरे-धीरे विकसित करती चली गईं; कुछ आकस्मिक रीति से बने विशिष्ट रासायनिक पदार्थों के स्वतः ही आकस्मिक रीति से एकत्रित होने से उन्होंने आरंभिक अपक्क (crude) जीवों का रूप लिया, और फिर इसी आकस्मिक, अनियोजित, अनियंत्रित (sudden, unorganised, uncontrolled) क्रियाओं के होते चले जाने से वे अपक्क जीव उन्नत होते चले गए और अन्ततः इस वर्तमान स्वरूप में आ गए जैसे हम आज उन्हें देखते हैं। हम पिछले लेखों में देख चुके हैं कि किसी भी उत्पाद के बनाए जाने में प्रयोग की जाने वाली रासायनिक क्रियाओं को कितनी बारीकी और ध्यान से नियोजित, नियंत्रित, और संचालित (plan and control) करना पड़ता है, अन्यथा कभी भी कोई भी दुर्घटना हो सकती है, सारी प्रक्रिया खराब हो सकती है। असमंजस की बात तो यह है कि कितने ही वैज्ञानिक और बुद्धिजीवी जो जीव-जंतुओं में होने वाली क्रियाओं से बहुत कम जटिल पदार्थों का उत्पादन करने वाली इन क्रियाओं को स्वयं योजनाबद्ध तरीकों से नियंत्रित और संचालित करते हैं, उन्हें ही यह स्वीकार करने में कोई संकोच नहीं होता है कि जीव-जंतुओं में होने और उन्हें उन्नत करने वाली ये कहीं अधिक जटिल क्रियाएं स्वतः ही अनियोजित और बिना नियंत्रण अथवा संचालन के संभव होती चली गईं!

साथ ही क्रमिक विकासवाद का यह भी दावा है कि यह उन्नत होते चले जाने की प्रक्रिया आज भी ज़ारी है, किन्तु क्योंकि यह बहुत धीमी और अप्रत्यक्ष है, इसलिए हमें दिखाई नहीं देती है। “बहुत” समय के बाद मनुष्यों तथा अन्य जीव-जंतुओं में होने वाली यह “उन्नति” दिखाई देगी। चलिए एक बार को, केवल तर्क के लिए, उनके इस स्पष्टीकरण को मान लेते हैं। यह एक साधारण समझ और सामान्य-ज्ञान की बात है कि किसी भी स्वतः ही होने वाली अनियोजित, अनियंत्रित, असंचालित क्रिया द्वारा, तुलनात्मक रीति से, चल रही प्रक्रिया को बाधित करने वाले या उसमें हानि उत्पन्न करने वाले कार्य अधिक, किन्तु लाभ उत्पन्न करने वाले कार्य बहुत ही कम मात्रा में ही होंगे। इसलिए, यदि क्रमिक विकासवाद की बात सही है तो फिर संसार भर में सभी स्थानों पर ऐसे अविकसित और अपक्क जीव-जंतुओं के जीवाश्म बहुतायत से बिखरे हुए होने चाहिएँ जिन में ये स्वतः होने वाली आकस्मिक, अनियोजित, अनियंत्रित, असंचालित क्रियाएं कुछ ऐसे परिवर्तन ले आईं जो उन्हें फिर जीवित नहीं रख सके या जिनसे उनकी आयु घट गई और वे बिना और अधिक उन्नत हुए शीघ्र ही समाप्त हो गए। यदि क्रमिक विकासवाद का यह सिद्धांत सही है, तो एक से दूसरी प्रजाति की ओर विकसित होते जाने वाले अपूर्ण जंतुओं के जीवाश्म भी बहुतायत से, पूर्ण जंतुओं के जीवाश्मों से अधिक, होने चाहिएँ, क्योंकि धीरे-धीरे एक पूर्णतः विकसित से दूसरी पूर्णतः विकसित प्रजाति में परिवर्तित होने में उन जंतुओं को अनेकों अपूर्ण, अपक्क स्वरूपों से होकर निकालना पड़ेगा।

क्रमिक विकासवाद का समर्थन करने वाले ये लोग इस वैज्ञानिक तथ्य को पूर्णतः अनदेखा करते हैं, दबाए रखते हैं कि प्रत्येक प्रकार के जीव की रचना और कार्य-विधि, वह चाहे मनुष्य हो, पशु हो, या वनस्पति हो, उसके डीएनए (DNA) में होती है, जो उसकी कोशिकाओं के अन्दर के न्यूक्लियस में स्थित क्रोमोसोम्स (Chromosomes) में होता है। प्रत्येक प्रकार के जीव के क्रोमोसोम्स की संख्या, तथा उन क्रोमोसोम्स में डीएनए का उस जीव के लिये विशिष्ट रीति से श्रृंखला-बद्ध होना भी उसकी जाति के अनुसार निर्धारित और निश्चित होता है। यदि क्रोमोसोम्स की संख्या या उनकी रचना में, अथवा डीएनए की रचना और शृंखला-बद्ध होने में कोई अन्तर आता है, तो इससे उस जीव में विकार उत्पन्न होते हैं, जो उसके लिये लाभकारी नहीं बल्कि हानिकारक होते हैं, और यदि ये विकार अधिक हों तो उस जीव का जीवित रहना भी असम्भव हो जाता है। अर्थात, एक तरह के जीव से दूसरी तरह के जीव में परिवर्तित होने के लिये, क्रोमोसोम्स की संख्या, तथा उन क्रोमोसोम्स में डीएनए का उस जीव के लिये विशिष्ट रीति से श्रृंखला-बद्ध होने में परिवर्तन होना होगा। इसे ऐसा परिवर्तन होना होगा जो पृथ्वी के तात्कालिक पर्यावरण में उस नए जीव को सटीक जीवित भी रखे, और उसे अपने जैसे अन्य भी उत्पन्न कर सकने वाला रखे। अर्थात, उसके क्रोमोसोम्स की संख्या में और उनकी रचना में, तथा उसके डीएनए की रचना और श्रृंखला-बद्ध होने में, उसके जीवन के लिये लाभकारी होने वाले, अनगिनत परिवर्तन, एक साथ ही उत्पन्न होने होंगे। अन्यथा बहुत धीरे-धीरे होने वाले कभी कुछ और कभी कुछ परिवर्तन होने से, उस जीव के विकसित होने के स्थान पर उसके लुप्त हो जाने की सम्भावना कहीं अधिक है। और यह क्रमिक विकासवाद के लिये ऊपर कहे गए बहुत बड़े अनुत्तरित प्रश्न को रखता है - उपरोक्त प्रक्रिया के अनुसार तो धरती के सभी स्थानों पर अपूर्ण और अपक्क जीव-जन्तुओं के जीवाश्म बहुतायत से भरे पड़े होने चाहियें।

     किन्तु, इसके विपरीत, न केवल संसार भर में बहुत कम स्थानों में जीवाश्म पाए जाते हैं, और जहाँ पाए जाते हैं, उन स्थानों पर पाए जाने वाले जीवाश्मों की संख्या भी अधिक नहीं होती है; वरन जो जीवाश्म पाए भी जाते हैं, वे पूर्णतः विकसित और सटीक जीवित रह सकने वाले जंतुओं के होते हैं। आज तक कभी कोई पूर्णतः अविकसित या अपक्क जन्तु का जीवाश्म नहीं मिला है, और न ही एक से दूसरी प्रजाति में परिवर्तित होते जा रहे किसी जन्तु का जीवाश्म मिला है। अपनी इस हताशा और कुंठा को छुपाने के लिए कुछ तथाकथित “वैज्ञानिकों” ने ऐसे अपूर्ण और अपक्क जीवाश्म स्वयं बनाकर संसार के सामने उनकी खोज का दावा करा है। कुछ विज्ञानिकों द्वारा ऐसे गढ़े हुए झूठ का उदाहरण है बंदरों और मनुष्यों के मध्य की कड़ी माने जाने वाले पिल्टडाउन मैन (Piltdown Man) के मानव निर्मित होने की बात जानी-मानी है (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piltdown_Man)। ऐसा ही एक प्रसिद्ध जीवाश्म है रेंगने वाले सरीसृप (reptiles) और पक्षियों के मध्य के जीव आर्कियोपटेरिक्स का जीवाश्म, जिसे पहले एक “मध्य-कड़ी” का जीवाश्म माना जाता था, किन्तु अब उसे, तथा अन्य स्थानों पर उसके समान जंतुओं के जीवाश्मों को अपने आप में पूर्णतः विकसित एक प्रकार के थोड़ा सा उड़ पाने वाले डायनोसौर की प्रजाति स्वीकार किया गया है (https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/archaeopteryx-flight-dinosaurs-birds-paleontology-science)। यदि आप इंटरनेट पर "Hoaxes in evolution" लेकर खोज करेंगे, तो ऐसी गढ़ी हुई झूठी “वैज्ञानिक तथ्यों” की बातों के अनेकों अन्य उदाहरण आप स्वयं ही देख पाएँगे।

      आज लोग “विज्ञान” के नाम पर ऐसी असंभव और काल्पनिक बातों को तो सहज स्वीकार करने को तैयार हैं किन्तु हजारों वर्ष पूर्व लिखी गई परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल की बात, “फिर परमेश्वर ने कहा, पृथ्वी से एक एक जाति के जीवित प्राणी, अर्थात घरेलू पशु, और रेंगने वाले जन्तु, और पृथ्वी के वन-पशु, जाति जाति के अनुसार उत्पन्न हों; और वैसा ही हो गया” (उत्पत्ति 1:24) को स्वीकार करने के लिए तैयार नहीं हैं; यद्यपि वे प्रत्यक्ष अपने सामने देखते हैं कि हर एक जाति अपनी ही जाति के जीव-जंतुओं को उत्पन्न करती है। उस जाति के अन्तर्गत स्वरूप की भिन्नताएँ हो सकती हैं, किन्तु मुख्य जाति नहीं बदलती है। संसार भर में अनेकों स्वरूपों के कुत्ते, बिल्ली, घोड़े, बंदर आदि हैं; कोई भी जन उन्हें देखकर पहचान लेता है कि वे किस जाति के हैं, चाहे उनका स्वरूप कैसा भी हो। उनमें से उत्पन्न होने वाली अगली पीढ़ी भी अपनी ही जाति के अनुसार ही रहती है, बदलती नहीं है। एक से दूसरी जाति उत्पन्न नहीं होती है; संसार में कहीं पर भी, किसी भी प्रकार के, कोई भी “अपूर्ण” या “अर्ध-विकसित” जीव नहीं हैं। मनुष्य ने कृत्रिम तरीकों से जातियों को मिश्रित करके नई जातियों को बनाने के प्रयास किए हैं, किन्तु सभी असफल रहे हैं। मूल जाति कभी नहीं बदलती है। परमेश्वर के नियम स्थापित, अपरिवर्तनीय और अकाट्य हैं। प्रमाण प्रत्यक्ष हैं, सर्व-विदित हैं, सहज स्वीकार्य हैं; किन्तु मनुष्य का दंभ उसे अपने ऊपर परमेश्वर की सार्वभौमिकता को स्वीकार नहीं करने देता है। 

      परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के प्रति इस अविश्वास का मूल कारण है मनुष्य के स्वभाव और व्यवहार में बसा हुआ पाप - परमेश्वर और उसकी आज्ञाओं के प्रति विद्रोह और अनाज्ञाकारिता की भावना। पाप वह नहीं है जिसे हम सामान्यतः पाप समझते हैं, जैसे झूठ बोलना, चोरी करना, धोखा देना, व्यभिचार, कुदृष्टि, लालच, हत्या, आदि - ये और ऐसे सभी कार्य तो पाप के फल, उसके परिणाम हैं, जो प्रवृत्ति, समय, मनसा, और अवसर के अनुसार प्रकट होते रहते हैं। इन बातों को दबाने और हटाने के प्रयास करना झाड़ियों के पत्तों और डालियों की छँटाई करने, किन्तु जड़ को वहीं छोड़ देने के समान है; उस जड़ में से फिर से उपयुक्त समय और परिस्थितियों में से वही झाड़ी फिर से बाहर आ जाएगी और फिर से वही दुष्कर्म करवाएगी।

      किन्तु प्रभु यीशु पर लाया गया विश्वास, स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से उसे समर्पित किया गया जीवन, प्रभु को उस व्यक्ति के जीवन से इस पाप की झाड़ी की जड़ उखाड़ने की अनुमति दे देता है, और फिर प्रभु उस व्यक्ति के जीवन में से पाप करने की प्रवृत्ति को नाश करके, उस को अंश-अंश करके अपने स्वरूप में बदलने लग जाता है, उसके जीवन को अपनी अनन्तकालीन आशीषों से परिपूर्ण करने लग जाता है। यह एक जीवन भर चलती रहने वाली प्रक्रिया है, किन्तु प्रभु को समर्पित जन पाप को पाप मानने लगता है, उसके लिए बहाने नहीं बनाता है, और न ही किसी और को दोषी ठहराता है, वरन पाप होने पर उसे प्रभु के सामने मान लेता है, प्रभु से उसकी क्षमा भी माँग लेता है, उस पाप में बना नहीं रहता है।

     क्या आप आज, अभी, स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से एक छोटी प्रार्थना “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं आप पर तथा मेरे पापों की कीमत चुकाने के लिए क्रूस पर आपके द्वारा दिए गए बलिदान पर विश्वास करता हूँ। कृपया मेरे पाप क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और अपना आज्ञाकारी, समर्पित शिष्य बनाएं” करने के द्वारा प्रभु को अपने जीवन में से पाप की जड़ को उखाड़ने और उसके स्वरूप में ढालने की अनुमति देंगे; उसकी आशीषों के पात्र बनना स्वीकार करेंगे? स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से की गई आप की प्रार्थना आप के जीवन में कोई हानि उत्पन्न नहीं करेगी, केवल लाभ ही लेकर आएगी - इस जीवन के लिये भी और परलोक के लिये भी।

Bible and BioSciences - 3 - Evolution and Life Part 3

    In the previous articles under this title of Bible and BioSciences, we have seen that science is neither against God, nor against His Word the Bible; and neither does it disprove the existence of God or the truth of the Bible. Science is only a tool, a method of analysing the creation, learning and gathering information about its components, and about knowing and understanding its working mechanisms. To interpret and explain those facts, draw conclusions based on them, and then present their concepts about them is man’s work - of the scientist’s. As new knowledge comes up, scientists keep changing their interpretations, conclusions, and their concepts about things; at times they modify and improve, at others they discard and replace the existing with totally new concepts. Just as learning about a created thing does not prove that it never had a creator, nor does it say that from now on, after learning about it, that thing will become self-sustaining and self-replicating; similarly learning about the creation of God does not disprove the existence of God, nor does it mean that henceforth creation will be self-sustaining, self-developing, and self-replicating. These concocted concepts have been created, spread, and popularized by those who want to deny God and the Bible, any which way they can. To do this, they suppress some facts, interpret others, not factually and impartially, but according to their own biases and purposes, and then spread their contrived conclusions amongst the common people as “Science.” We will see examples of this in today’s article; and will continue with this topic in the next article as well. 

Evolution claims that intermittently, over time, the spontaneously appearing things in animals gradually improved and evolved them. They claim that initially certain chemical substances formed accidentally, then spontaneously came together resulting in the formation of initial crude organisms; and then through these spontaneously occurring, unorganized, uncontrolled and unregulated actions, these crude living beings progressed and eventually came into the present form as we see them today. We have seen in the previous article how closely and carefully the chemical reactions used in the making of any product have to be planned, controlled, and regulated, otherwise accidents and damages can happen at any time; and the whole process could get messed up. It is an irony that so many scientists and intellectuals, who well know that unless these activities are made to occur in a planned, systematic, and controlled manner, substances much less complex than the basic building blocks of all living things and life, can never be formed. But they have no hesitation in accepting and believing that spontaneous, unplanned, uncontrolled, unregulated activities gave rise to the highly complex basic building blocks of all living beings, to life, and also got the organisms to form, grow, improve and become even more complex!

Evolution also claims that this process of gradual progress continues even today, but because it is very slow and indirect, we do not see it. After a "long period of time,” this "progress" in humans and other animals will become visible. Just for argument’s sake, let's accept this explanation for once. It is a matter of common knowledge and common sense that in an ongoing process, the chances of harmful and destructive consequences arising from any spontaneous, unplanned, uncontrolled, unregulated action, are far more than their being beneficial in any way to the process. Therefore, it is logical to assume that the fossils of such undeveloped and under-evolved animals, should be abundantly present and scattered all over the world, and at most, if not all places, in which these spontaneously occurring, unplanned, uncontrolled, unregulated processes brought some changes, but those changes could not help them stay alive, or decreased their lifespan, therefore they soon succumbed to these spontaneously happening changes, soon after the changes happened, without being able to evolve any further. If this theory of evolution is correct, then fossils of intermediate and imperfect animals that could only partially evolve from one fully developed species to another fully developed species, from one kind of living being to another, should also be plentiful, far more in numbers and variety than fossils of complete and fully formed and functional animals; because those living beings would have had to have to pass through many imperfect, under-developed forms in order to be fully transformed into a new kind of living being.

The supporters and followers of evolution completely ignore and suppress this scientific fact that every living organism, whether man, animal, or vegetation, its composition, working and all details are coded in its DNA, which is in its chromosomes situated inside the cell nucleus. The number of chromosomes of every species and the sequential placement of the DNA of that organism are fixed and highly specific. If any alteration in the number of chromosomes and the way its DNA is sequentially placed alters, then it produces not beneficial but harmful mutations of the organisms, and if these mutations are many, then they become detrimental to life for that organism. In other words, for one kind of living being to change into another kind will require an abrupt change in the number of both, the chromosomes and the sequencing of DNA, in a specific manner and pattern so that, the new organism now formed can not only live properly and compatibly in the environment on earth at that place and time, but also be able to self-sustain and self-replicate itself. This means an innumerable immediate simultaneous changes in the numbers of chromosomes and sequential arrangements of the DNA, so that changes are beneficial for the new organism. This is not possible through slowly and occasionally occurring changes, which are highly likely to give rise to harmful mutations incompatible with sustaining life or replicating, and thereby leading to elimination of the species or organism, instead of improving or developing it. And, this gives rise to the huge, unsurmountable, unanswered question stated above - according to the evolutionary process, the whole world should have been full of fossils of the undeveloped or incompletely evolved organisms.

But, conversely, not only are fossils found in very few places around the world, and the number of fossils found in those places is also not high. Also, the fossils that are found are always of animals that could live as a fully developed animal, very well adapted and suited to the environment of that time. To date, no fossil of an undeveloped or under-evolved animal has ever been found, nor has the fossil of any “intermediate” animal that is in the process of changing from one species to another have ever been found. To hide their frustration on this count, some so-called "scientists" have claimed making discoveries of such “intermediate” forms in front of the world by “cooking up” such fossils of “intermediate” or under-evolved animals. An example of this “cooking up” is the Piltdown Man, considered to be the link between monkeys and humans. This is now a well known, accepted and documented hoax - i.e., it is not an actual but a man-made “fossil” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piltdown_Man). Another such well-known and much touted fossil, is the fossil of Archaeopteryx, an animal said to be an “intermediate” between reptiles and birds. It was formerly considered a "missing-link" fossil, but now it, and fossils of similar animals found some in other places, have been accepted not as “intermediate” but fully developed type of a small flying dinosaur that could fly a little bit  (https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/archaeopteryx-flight-dinosaurs-birds-paleontology-science). If you search the internet using “Hoaxes in evolution” then you can see for yourself many other examples of such contrived and false “Facts of science.”

Today people are ready to accept such impossible and imaginary things, as proven and certain facts, in the name of "science" that time and again has been shown to be fallible, contrived, and changing. But they are not willing to accept the infallible, incontrovertible, ever truthful, and never changing Word of God the Bible, where thousands of years ago God had it written, "Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind"; and it was so” (Genesis 1:24); Although they see before themselves that each species always produces its own species. Within that species there may be variations of form, but the main species does not change. There are many types of dogs, cats, horses, monkeys etc. all over the world; Anyone looking at them recognizes which species they belong to, regardless of their appearance. Every generation born from them also looks and lives according to their own parental species, never changes. One species does not ever arise from another; there is no “intermediate” or “partially-evolved” species of any living being anywhere on earth. Man has tried to create new species by mixing species by artificial means, but all have been unsuccessful. The original species never changes. God's laws are established, immutable, and irrefutable. The evidence is evident, open, simple and straightforward to accept. But man's conceit does not allow him to accept the sovereignty of God over himself.

The root cause of this disbelief in God and His Word is the sin inherent in man's nature and behavior – a tendency of rebellion and disobedience to God and His commands. Sin is not what we usually think of as sin, such as lying, stealing, deceiving, adultery, evil-sightedness, greed, murder, etc. - these and all such acts are the fruits or results of sin, which manifest in a person’s life, depending on his tendency, time, desires, and opportunity available. Trying to suppress and trim these things by any means, is like pruning the leaves and branches of the thorny bush but leaving the root intact. From that root, at the appropriate time and in favorable circumstances, the same thorny bush of sin will grow out again and will again lead to the same misdeeds.

But the faith brought in the Lord Jesus, a life submitted to Him willingly and sincerely, allows the Lord to take away the roots of this bush of sin from that person's life, i.e., gives the Lord the opportunity to take away the tendency to sin from that person's life. After taking away this tendency, the Lord starts changing him bit by bit into His own likeness, and starts filling that person’s life with His eternal blessings. This is a life-long process, but a person committed to the Lord now begins to consider sin as a sin, and does not make excuses for it, nor justifies it or blames anyone else, but confesses it to the Lord when he commits sin and realizes it. He asks the Lord for his forgiveness for that sin and does not persist in that sin.

Please permit me to urge you now to voluntarily, willingly, and sincerely say a short heartfelt prayer “Lord Jesus, I believe in you and your sacrifice on the cross to pay the price for my sins. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your obedient, committed follower” which will permit the Lord to pull out the root of sin from your life, and to begin to change you into His image. Are you willing to accept being a recipient of His blessings?

पिछले कुछ लेखों से हम देखते आ रहे हैं कि यद्यपि परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल, कोई विज्ञान की पुस्तक नहीं है, बल्कि आज से हजारों वर्ष पहले, साधारण और सामामान्यतः अशिक्षित लोगों तक, उन्हे समझ आ सकने वाली सरल भाषा में लिखा गया परमेश्वर के संदेशों सँकलन है, परन्तु परमेश्वर ने बाइबल में हर प्रकार की जानकारी लिखवाई है। हमने यह भी देखा है कि बाइबल और विज्ञान में कोई टकराव, कोई विरोधाभास नहीं है; और होना सम्भव भी नहीं है। ऐसा इसलिये क्योंकि यह एक सामान्य ज्ञान का साधारण सा तथ्य है कि हर रची हुई व्यस्त, हमेशा अपने रचीयता की पुष्टि ही करती है, उसी के पक्ष में गवाही देती है, कभी उसके विरुद्ध नहीं। और ऐसा ही एक और साधारण सामान्य ज्ञान की बात है कि किसी रचना के बारे में जान लेना, उसकी कार्य-विधि को समझ लेना, यह प्रमाणित नहीं करता है कि उसका कोई रचीयता था ही नहीं, वह स्वतः ही अस्तित्व में आ गई; बल्कि उसके रचीयता की बुद्धि, समझ, ज्ञान, और रचनात्मकता आदि बातों को ही दिखाता है। इसी प्रकार से विज्ञान केवल एक माध्यम है, एक साधन है जो हमें परमेश्वर की सृष्टि की बातों को दिखाता और समझाता है; और जितना जैसे-जैसे उसकी समझ बढ़ती जाती है, वह बदलता रहता है, उन्नत होता जाता है, सदा गतिशील रहता है, किन्तु सिद्ध, सम्पूर्ण, और अपरिवर्तनीय नहीं है। उपरोक्त तर्कों को यदि हम बाइबल और विज्ञान के संदर्भ में देखें, तो विज्ञान सृष्टि का सृष्टिकर्ता होने की पुष्टि करता है, उस सिद्ध, सम्पूर्ण, और अपरिवर्तनीय सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर की अगम्य बुद्धि, ज्ञान, समझ, और रचनात्मकता को दिखाता है। दूसरे शब्दों में, विज्ञान एक सिद्ध, सम्पूर्ण, अपरिवर्तनीय सृष्टिकर्ता और उसकी अगम्य बुद्धि, ज्ञान, समझ, और रचनात्मकता की ओर संकेत करता है। इसका यह अर्थ भी है कि असिद्ध, सदा परिवर्तनीय, सदा विकसित होते रहने वाला विज्ञान, कभी भी सिद्ध, अपरिवर्तनीय, सम्पूर्ण सृष्टिकर्ता के बारे में कोई निर्णय देने का आधार नहीं हो सकता है। और इन बातों की पुष्टि हम बाइबल में लिखी सृष्टि, अंतरिक्ष, पृथ्वी से संबंधित बातों के द्वारा देख चुके हैं। इसलिये, यह आम धारणा बिल्कुल गलत और निराधार है कि विज्ञान ने बाइबल को अप्रमाणित कर दिया है, मिथ्या दिखा दिया है, और बाइबल तथा विज्ञान परस्पर विरोधी हैं - यह किसी भी तरह से परमेश्वर के अस्तित्व को नकारने वालों के द्वारा फैलाया गया झूठ है।

बाइबल की प्रथम पुस्तक, उत्पत्ति का पहला अध्याय, परमेश्वर के द्वारा समस्त सृष्टि की रचना किए जाने का वृतांत है। उत्पत्ति के आरंभिक अध्यायों से हम देखते हैं कि मनुष्य परमेश्वर की सबसे उत्कृष्ट रचना है। अन्य सभी की सृष्टि परमेश्वर ने कहने के द्वारा, अपने शब्द या वचन की सामर्थ्य से की - परमेश्वर ने कहा और वह वैसा ही हो गया। किन्तु मनुष्य को परमेश्वर ने अपने हाथों से, अपने ही स्वरूप में सृजा; उसमें जीवन डालने के लिए परमेश्वर ने अपनी ही श्वास डाली, और उसके लिए ही अदन की वाटिका लगाई, जहाँ परमेश्वर उस के साथ संगति करता था, और फिर अपने ही हाथों से पहले मनुष्य आदम के लिए एक सहायक बनाया (उत्पत्ति 1:26-28; 2:8, 15, 18; 3:8)। परमेश्वर ने पृथक मनुष्य की नर और मादा स्वरूप में सृष्टि की, और उन्हें आशीष देकर कहा कि वे सारी पृथ्वी में फैल जाएं, उसे अपनी अधीनता में ले लें। आज हम बाइबल में लिखी मनुष्य की रचना से सम्बन्धित कुछ बातों को देखेंगे। 

क्रमिक विकासवाद (Evolution) के पास इसका कोई उत्तर नहीं है कि क्यों और कैसे विभिन्न जीव-जन्तुओं और वनस्पतियों आदि में प्रजनन और जाति को बढ़ाने के विभिन्न तरीके आए। जन्तुओं और वनस्पतियों की विभिन्न प्रजातियों में ऐसे कितने ही उदाहरण हैं जिनमें नर और मादा का भेद नहीं है; वे अपने एक ही स्वरूप से अपने समान अगली पीढ़ी उत्पन्न करते हैं। कई पौधों की प्रजातियों में एक ही पौधे में नर और मादा फूल अलग-अलग होते हैं - एक ही डाली या एक ही पौधे में दोनों प्रकार के फूल, तथा अन्य प्रजातियों में एक ही फूल में दोनों नर और मादा अंश, और उनके बीज से फिर एक नया पौधा उत्पन्न हो जाता है। यदि प्रजाति का ज़ारी रहना बिना नर-मादा के भिन्न होने से संभव है, और हो रहा है, तो फिर यह नर और मादा स्वरूप क्यों और कैसे विकसित हुए? यदि धीरे-धीरे, विभिन्न चरणों में होकर यह ‘विकास’ होना सम्भव था, तो फिर एक से दूसरे लिंग में क्रमिक परिवर्तन या ‘विकास’ के दौरान, इन अधूरे या अपूर्ण लिंग वाली जीव-प्रजातियाँ किस प्रकार से अपनी अगली पीढ़ी को उत्पन्न करते रहे; क्योंकि आज हम जिन अधूरे विकसित लिंग वाले जीवों और मनुष्यों को देखते हैं, उनमें प्रजनन की क्षमता नहीं होती है? यदि अधूरे विकसित लिंग वाली पीढ़ी, अगली को जन्म नहीं दे सकती थी, तो क्या उस जीव-प्रजाति का अन्त नहीं हो जाता? यदि वे अपूर्ण विकसित लिंग वाले जीव, उस अपूर्णता में भी अपनी प्रजाति को उत्पन्न कर सकते थे, तो फिर आज के अपूर्ण विकसित लिंग वाले जीव प्रजनन क्यों नहीं कर सकते हैं - क्रमिक विकासवाद के पास इसका कोई उत्तर नहीं है। किन्तु उपरोक्त बाइबल के हवाले स्पष्ट बताते हैं कि परमेश्वर ने आरंभ से ही मनुष्य को नर और मादा की भिन्नता के साथ, अलग-अलग दायित्वों के निर्वाह के लिए उत्पन्न किया (देखिए उत्पत्ति 2:24; मरकुस 10:6-8)।

    विज्ञान ने मनुष्य के शरीर की रचना और कार्य विधि की जटिलता और उसके अद्भुत होने को अपने नए उपकरणों के द्वारा पहचानना आरंभ किया है; किन्तु परमेश्वर ने अपने भक्त राजा दाऊद, जिसका जन्म 1085 ईस्वी पूर्व में हुआ था, के द्वारा लिखे गए एक भजन में इस तथ्य को आज से लगभग 2800 से भी अधिक वर्ष पूर्व लिखवा दिया था, “मैं तेरा धन्यवाद करूंगा, इसलिये कि मैं भयानक और अद्भुत रीति से रचा गया हूं। तेरे काम तो आश्चर्य के हैं, और मैं इसे भली भांति जानता हूं” (भजन 139:14 )। 

इसी प्रकार मनुष्य के जीवन और स्वास्थ्य के बारे में भी बहुत सी बातें हैं, जिन्हें विज्ञान ने अब पहचाना और माना है, किन्तु परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन बाइबल की पुस्तकों में उन्हें हजारों वर्षों से लिखवा रखा है। मनुष्य और मनुष्य के जीवन से संबंधित तथ्यों के कुछ उदाहरण देखते हैं:

आज से लगभग 2000 वर्ष पूर्व, पौलुस प्रेरित ने अपने एक सुसमाचार प्रचार में कहा था, “उसने एक ही मूल से मनुष्यों की सब जातियां सारी पृथ्वी पर रहने के लिये बनाईं हैं; और उन के ठहराए हुए समय, और निवास के सिवानों को इसलिये बान्‍धा है” (प्रेरितों 17:26); और उत्पत्ति की पुस्तक जो आज से लगभग 3400 वर्ष पूर्व लिखी गई, उसके 5 अध्याय में आदम और हव्वा से उत्पन्न होने वाली संतानों के नाम और उनकी संक्षिप्त वंशावली दी गई है - अर्थात सारी मानवजाति उस एक ही मूल, आदि पुरुष, आदम की संतान हैं। वैज्ञानिकों ने जब मनुष्य के डीएनए के अध्ययन किए, तो उन्हें मनुष्य की रचना और इतिहास के बारे में कई अद्भुत बातें पता चलीं। 1995 में 38 विभिन्न जातियों के वंशों के डीएनए के अध्ययन के द्वारा यह सामने आया कि चाहे वे आज विभिन्न और पृथक जातियाँ हैं, किन्तु मूल में वे सभी एक ही मूल पुरुष से निकल कर आए हैं! यह बात बाइबल में हजारों वर्ष पहले लिखी गई बात के पूर्णतः अनुरूप है।

वैज्ञानिकों में असमंजस है कि गर्भ-धारण होने से कितने समय बाद भ्रूण को जीवित कहा जा सकता है। किन्तु बाइबल बताती है कि भ्रूण के गर्भ में आने के समय, उसके आरंभ से ही वह एक जीवित प्राणी है, जिसके विषय परमेश्वर ने योजना बना रखी है, उद्देश्य निर्धारित किया हुआ है, जैसा परमेश्वर ने यिर्मयाह नबी से कहा: “गर्भ में रचने से पहिले ही मैं ने तुझ पर चित्त लगाया, और उत्पन्न होने से पहिले ही मैं ने तुझे अभिषेक किया; मैं ने तुझे जातियों का भविष्यद्वक्ता ठहराया” (यिर्मयाह 1:5); अर्थात परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में वह आरंभ से ही एक जीवित व्यक्ति है, जो कुछ समय के बाद मनुष्य के स्वरूप में दिखने लगेगा, जन्म लेगा, और फिर बड़ा होकर परमेश्वर के उद्देश्यों को पूरा करेगा। आज विज्ञान भी यह जानता और मानता है कि उस भ्रूण के गर्भ में स्थापित होने के समय, जब वह एक कोशिका (cell) ही होता है, तब भी उस एक कोशिका में वही जीवन होता है जो उसके गर्भ से बाहर जन्म लेने के समय होता है, और उस एक कोशिका में विद्यमान डीएनए में वह संपूर्ण जानकारी विद्यमान होती है जिसके द्वारा वह भ्रूण एक कोशिका से बढ़कर मनुष्य रूप में जन्म लेता, और बढ़ता है, कार्य करता है।

अगले लेख में हम मनुष्य के स्वास्थ्य से सम्बन्धित बाइबल में लिखी कुछ बातों को देखेंगे। परन्तु अभी, इस पर कुछ गम्भीरता से विचार कीजिये: जिस परमेश्वर ने आपको और मुझे अपने स्वरूप में, अद्भुत रीति से रचा है, अपनी श्वास से हमें जीवन दिया है, जो आज दिन तक हमारी देखभाल करता आ रहा है, और हमें अपनी पृथ्वी और प्रकृति के संसाधानों का प्रयोग खुले दिल से करने दे रहा है, वह हम में से प्रत्येक को, हमारे मनों की भावनाओं और विचारों को, हमारी भीतरी-बाहरी वास्तविक दशा को, हमारे मन, विचार, शरीर में किए गए हर पाप को जानता है। चाहे हम उसे स्वीकार करें या न करें; उसके आज्ञाकारी बनें अथवा न बनें; वह हम से बहुत प्रेम भी रखता है, हमारी चिंता भी करता है। वह चाहता है कि उसका रचा हुआ प्रत्येक जन, वह चाहे जिस भी दशा में है, वैसा ही उसके पास आ जाए, उस से मेल-मिलाप कर ले, जिससे परमेश्वर उसे पापों से स्वच्छ और शुद्ध करे, तथा शैतान द्वारा बहकाए जाकर अनन्त-विनाश में डाल देने से बचा सके। उसने इस मेल-मिलाप का मार्ग प्रभु यीशु मसीह में होकर तैयार किया और उपलब्ध करवाया है। वह अपेक्षा रखता है कि हम उसकी सृष्टि और अपनी रचना द्वारा उसके अस्तित्व को पहचानें और स्वेच्छा से समय रहते उसके पास आ जाएं, उसे समर्पित और उसकी आज्ञाकारिता का जीवन व्यतीत करें, और उसकी आशीषों की भरपूरी का आनन्द प्राप्त करें। सच्चे मन और स्वेच्छा से की गई आपकी एक छोटी सी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं स्वीकार करता हूँ कि मैं पापी हूँ, और आपने मेरे पापों के लिए क्रूस पर अपना बलिदान दिया है। कृपया मेरे पाप क्षमा करें, मुझे स्वीकार करें, अपनी शरण में लेकर मुझे अपना आज्ञाकारी जन बनाएं” आपको अनन्त विनाश से अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों में लाकर खड़ा कर देगी। क्या आप आज, अभी यह निर्णय लेंगे? आपको अद्भुत रीति से रचने वाला आपका सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर उसके पक्ष में किए गए आपके निर्णय की लालसा रखे हुए प्रतीक्षा कर रहा है!

Bible and Creation of Man

    Over the past few articles we have been considering that although God’s Word the Bible is not a treatise on science, rather, it is a compilation of God’s messages written and given to simple, generally illiterate people, in a simple and straightforward manner so that they could easily understand it; and yet, God has had all kinds of information written in the Bible. We have also seen that there is no contradiction between the Bible and science, and they are not at loggerheads; and neither is this at all possible. This is because of a very simple, straightforward fact of general knowledge that every created thing always confirms the existence of its creator, testifies in only his favor, never against him. Another similar fact of general knowledge is that knowing the composition and working of a creation does not prove that it was not created, but came about by itself; rather it speaks of there being a creator and his wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and creativity. Similarly, science is a method, a tool that shows and helps us understand the things about God’s creation; as its understanding and  knowledge increases, it keeps on improving, developing, and changing; it is dynamic, not static; but it is not perfect, not complete, and not unchanging. On applying these to the Bible and science, we can see that science only points to there being a Creator for the creation. In other words, science testifies of the Perfect, Complete, Unchanging Creator, and His unfathomable wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and creativity. This also implies that the imperfect, everchanging, developing science can never be a standard to pass any judgment on the Perfect, Unchanging, Complete Creator. We have seen affirmation of these through the things related to the universe, space, and earth written in the Bible. Therefore, this popular concept that science has disproven the Bible, shown it to be a collection of myths, and that science and the Bible are contrary to each other, is totally baseless and false - it is a lie that has been spread by those who want to deny the existence of God in any which way they possibly can.

The first book of the Bible, the first chapter of Genesis, is the account of God's creation of the universe. From the opening chapters of Genesis, we see that man is God's greatest creation. All others were created by God by speaking, by the power of His Word - God said and it was so. But man was created by God with his own hands, in his own image. God breathed His own breath to put life into him, and God then set up the Garden of Eden for him, where God had fellowship with him, and then God, with His own hands, made a helper for the first man Adam (Genesis 1:26- 28; 2:8, 15, 18; 3:8). God created human beings in separate male and female forms, and blessed them, said to them to spread all over the earth, taking it under their control. Today we will see some things about man’s creation, written in the Bible.

Evolution does not have any answer as to how and why the different flora and fauna have come up with different methods of reproduction and propagation of their species. There are many examples in different species of animals and plants in which there is no distinction of male and female. They produce their next generation, just like themselves from the same form. Many plant species have separate male and female flowers in the same plant - on the same branch, or both types of flowers in the same plant; and in other species both male and female parts in the same flower, and then from their seeds a similar new plant is born. If the continuation of a species is possible, and is happening, a complete male-female separation, in both the animal and plant kingdoms, then why and how did these separate male and female forms ‘evolve’? If gradual staged development for this was possible, then how could there be intermediate genders as they ‘evolved’ from being unisexual or asexual to bi-sexual, and how could those intermediate genders have been functional; since the intermediate genders we know about today are unable to reproduce? Wouldn’t the species have come to an end if the ‘intermediate’ genders failed to reproduce and bring forth the next generation! - evolution has no answer.  But the above-mentioned Bible quotes clearly state that from the very beginning God created man, with the distinction of male and female genders, to fulfill different responsibilities (see Genesis 2:24; Mark 10:6-8); and He similarly created each living being the way they are.

Science, through its new tools, has now begun to recognize the complex and amazingly intricate working of the human body. But the Lord in a Psalm written by His follower King David, who was born in 1085 B.C. had this fact written about more than 2800 years ago, "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well" (Psalm 139:14).

Similarly, there are many things about man's life and health, which have only now been recognized and accepted by science, but God had them written in His Word, in the books of the Bible thousands of years ago. Let's see some examples of facts related to man and man's life:

About 2000 years ago, the apostle Paul said in one of his gospel messages: “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings" (Acts 17:26); And in the book of Genesis, which was written about 3400 years ago, in its first 5 chapters, are given the names of the children born of Adam and Eve and their brief genealogy - i.e., all of mankind has come from the same original man, the children of Adam. When scientists studied human DNA, they came to know many amazing things about the creation and history of man. In 1995, a study of the DNA of the descendants of 38 different races revealed that although they are different and distinct races today, they all originally descended from the same original male! This is completely in line with what was written in the Bible thousands of years ago.

Scientists are confused about how long after conception can the embryo be called alive or living? But the Bible says that since the time of conception, from the very beginning, the fetus is a living being, for which God has made plans, and set some purposes, as God said to Prophet Jeremiah: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations” (Jeremiah 1:5); i.e., in the eyes of God, from the beginning, he is a living being who after some time will appear in the form of man, will be born, and then grow up to fulfill the purposes of God. Today science also knows and believes that at the time of being implanted in the womb, that embryo, when it is only a single cell, even then there is the same life in that one cell as it is, at the time of its birth outside the womb; and the DNA present in that one cell contains all the information by which that embryo grows from a single cell to be born in the human form, and function accordingly.

In the next article we will see some things related to man’s health, written in the Bible. But for now, please give this a serious thought: The God who has wonderfully created you and me in His image, has given us life with His breath, has been caring for us to this day, and allows us to use the resources of our earth and nature with an open heart, He knows each one of us, the feelings and thoughts of our minds, our inner and outer real condition, every sin committed in our mind, thoughts, and body. Whether we accept Him or not; are obedient to him or not; He still loves us very much and cares for us. He wishes that every one of His creations, in whatever condition they are, should come to Him, and be reconciled to Him, so that God may cleanse and purify him of his sins, and save him from being seduced by Satan into eternal-destruction. He has prepared and provided the way of this reconciliation through the Lord Jesus Christ. He expects that we realize and recognize His existence through His created universe and ourselves, and voluntarily come to Him, while we have the time and opportunity, live a life of submission and obedience to Him, and enjoy the abundance of His blessings. A short sincere prayer from your heart, said voluntarily and willingly, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner, and You have sacrificed Yourself on the cross for my sins. Please forgive my sins, accept me, take me under your shelter and make me your obedient follower” will take you from eternal destruction to eternal life and heavenly blessings. Will you make this decision today, now? Your wonderful Creator God your Creator is eagerly awaiting your decision made in His favor!
