कलीसिया का निर्माण – 13 – प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर – 5
जब तक कि विश्वासी यह नहीं जानेगा कि परमेश्वर ने उसे क्या दिया है और क्यों, तब तक वह परमेश्वर द्वारा उस दिए गए के दिए जाने के उद्देश्य को पूरा नहीं कर सकेगा। क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने अपनी प्रत्येक सन्तान, अर्थात, नया-जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी को अपनी कलीसिया का एक अंग बनाया है और उसे अपने अन्य सन्तानों की सहभागिता में रखा है, इसलिए उन्हें इन जिम्मेदारियों के बारे में जानना और सीखना चाहिए, ताकि परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए इन विशेषाधिकारों को उचित रीति से उपयोग करें और उसके भले भण्डारी बनें। इस वर्तमान श्रृंखला में हम कलीसिया के तथा परमेश्वर की सन्तानों के साथ सहभागिता रखने के बारे में किसी डिनॉमिनेशन की अथवा मनुष्य की बनाई हुई शिक्षाओं के आधार पर नहीं, परंतु सीधे परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल से, मत्ती 16:18 के आधार पर सीख रहे हैं, जहाँ पर बाइबल में सबसे पहले “कलीसिया” शब्द आया है। वर्तमान में हम इस पद में प्रभु यीशु द्वारा कही गई बात के बारे में सीख रहें हैं कि वह ही अपनी कलीसिया बनाएगा। पिछले लेख में हमने इस से संबंधित तीन बातें देखी थीं, जिनके आधार पर हम प्रभु की इस बात को सीखेंगे।
पहली बात थी कि प्रभु स्वयं ही अपनी कलीसिया को बना रहा है। उसने यह कार्य किसी और पर, यहाँ तक कि उसके मानवीय शिष्य तो दूर, स्वर्गदूतों के हाथों में भी नहीं छोड़ा है। यही प्रभु परमेश्वर के लिए अपनी कलीसिया और उसके बनाए जाने के महत्व, और यह बड़े ध्यान तथा बारीकी से किए जाने की अनिवार्यता को दिखाता है। कलीसिया के आरंभ होने, और आरंभिक विस्तार के बारे में बाइबल में लिखी बातों को देखिए:
“सो जिन्होंने उसका वचन ग्रहण किया उन्होंने बपतिस्मा लिया; और उसी दिन तीन हजार मनुष्यों के लगभग उन में मिल गए। और वे प्रेरितों से शिक्षा पाने, और संगति रखने में और रोटी तोड़ने में और प्रार्थना करने में लौलीन रहे” (प्रेरितों 2:41-42)। पतरस द्वारा किए गए प्रचार, और पापों से पश्चाताप के आह्वान (प्रेरितों 2:38) से कायल होकर उन “भक्त यहूदियों” (प्रेरितों 2:5) में से, जो व्यवस्था के निर्वाह के लिए यरूशलेम में एकत्रित थे, तीन हज़ार ने प्रभु के वचन पर विश्वास किया, बपतिस्मा लिया, और ‘उनमें’ अर्थात प्रभु के उन चुने हुए शिष्यों में मिल गए। साथ ही उनके जीवनों, प्रभु के प्रति उनके दृष्टिकोण, और उनकी प्राथमिकताओं में एक आधारभूत परिवर्तन आ गया। अब वे प्रेरितों से शिक्षा पाने, संगति रखने, प्रभु की मेज़ में सम्मिलित होने, और प्रार्थना करने में लौलीन रहने लगे। यह कलीसिया का, सच्चे प्रतिबद्ध मसीही विश्वासियों के सँसार से पृथक हो कर उनके एक नई पहचान में आ जाने, और उनके मन तथा जीवन में होने वाले परिवर्तन आरंभ था। यही परिवर्तन वास्तव में नया जन्म पाए हुए प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन में भी आता है।
“और परमेश्वर की स्तुति करते थे, और सब लोग उन से प्रसन्न थे: और जो उद्धार पाते थे, उन को प्रभु प्रति दिन उन में मिला देता था” (प्रेरितों 2:47)। जैसा कि इस पद में लिखा है, इसके बाद जो लोग उद्धार पाते थे, उन्हें न तो प्रभु के शिष्य या प्रेरित, और न ही इन प्रथम 3000 विश्वासियों में से कोई व्यक्ति, वरन स्वयं प्रभु ही अपने शिष्यों को अपनी कलीसिया में मिला देता था। कोई भी मनुष्य, वह चाहे कोई भी हो, किसी को भी प्रभु की कलीसिया में नहीं मिला सकता है; यह केवल प्रभु ही के द्वारा किया जाता है, उसके मानकों और आँकलन के आधार पर; और उस व्यक्ति को उद्धार पाया हुआ होना चाहिए, यह भी किसी डिनॉमिनेशन के मानकों और मनुष्यों की गढ़ी हुई बातों के आधार पर नहीं, बल्कि प्रभु यीशु की संतुष्टि के अनुसार।
“और प्रेरितों के हाथों से बहुत चिन्ह और अद्भुत काम लोगों के बीच में दिखाए जाते थे, (और वे सब एक चित्त हो कर सुलैमान के ओसारे में इकट्ठे हुआ करते थे। परन्तु औरों में से किसी को यह हियाव न होता था, उन में जा मिलें; तौभी लोग उन की बड़ाई करते थे। और विश्वास करने वाले बहुतेरे पुरुष और स्त्रियां प्रभु की कलीसिया में और भी अधिक आकर मिलते रहे।) (प्रेरितों 5:12-14)। कलीसिया के आरंभिक समय से ही प्रेरितों के द्वारा बहुत चिह्न और अद्भुत काम लोगों के मध्य होने लगे; लोग उन सभी की बड़ाई करते थे; किन्तु फिर भी किसी में स्वतः ही उनमें मिल जाने का साहस नहीं होता था। न ही यह लिखा है कि प्रेरित या शिष्य लोगों को अपने में मिला लेते थे - यद्यपि वे पवित्र आत्मा से भरे हुए थे, सामर्थ्य से पापों से पश्चाताप और उद्धार का सुसमाचार सुना सकते थे और सुनाते भी थे, चिह्न और अद्भुत कार्य तो कर सकते थे और करते भी थे, किन्तु किसी को भी मण्डली या कलीसिया में सम्मिलित नहीं कर सकते थे। “प्रभु की कलीसिया” में स्वयं प्रभु ही लोगों को जोड़ता था; अन्य कोई भी नहीं। प्रथम कलीसिया, “प्रभु यीशु मसीह की कलीसिया” थी; किसी प्रेरित की, या किसी स्थान की बनाई अथवा स्थापित की हुई कलीसिया नहीं थी। और यही बात आज भी वैसे ही लागू है, तथा हमेशा लागू रहेगी।
और जब प्रभु का काम बढ़ने लगा, तो प्रभु द्वारा मत्ती 13:24-30 में दिए दृष्टांत, और 13:37-43 में दी गई उसकी व्याख्या के अनुसार, शैतान ने भी प्रभु के लोगों में अपने दुष्ट लोग मिलाना आरंभ कर दिया। यद्यपि शिष्य तो उन्हें नहीं पहचान पाए, परन्तु प्रभु उन्हें आरंभ से ही जानता है; किन्तु आज तक भी प्रभु ने स्वर्गदूतों को भी उन दुष्ट लोगों को हटाने की अनुमति नहीं दी है, वरन, इस पृथक करने के कार्य को अंत के लिए रखा है, कहीं दुष्टों को हटाने में प्रभु के लोगों की हानि न हो जाए (13:28-30) - प्रभु स्वर्गदूतों को भी अपनी कलीसिया के साथ छेड़-छाड़ नहीं करने देता है। किन्तु समय-समय पर प्रभु अपने लोगों को सचेत करता रहता है, उन दुष्टों को प्रकट तथा अलग करता रहता है (प्रेरितों 20:29-31; 2 तिमुथियुस 4:10, 14; 1 यूहन्ना 2:18-19; 4:1-6; 3 यूहन्ना 1:9-10)। प्रभु की कलीसिया में केवल प्रभु के ही लोग रहने पाएंगे, प्रभु अन्य किसी को नहीं रहने देगा; और कलीसिया के लोगों को जाँचने, परखने, सही को गलत से पृथक करने का यह कार्य प्रभु स्वयं ही करता रहता है; किसी अन्य से कदापि नहीं करवाता है, कहीं गलती से उसका एक भी विश्वासी जन कोई हानि न उठाए।
यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो अपने आप को जाँच कर देखिए कि आप किस आधार पर अपने आप को मसीही विश्वासी कहते हैं, और किस प्रक्रिया के द्वारा कलीसिया से जुड़े हैं? जिस कलीसिया से आप जुड़े हैं, क्या वह वास्तव में प्रभु की कलीसिया है, या किसी मनुष्य, डिनॉमिनेशन, या संस्था के द्वारा स्थापित की हुई है, उनके नियमों और धारणाओं के अनुसार संचालित की जाने वाली कलीसिया है? यह जाँच और आँकलन करने के लिए हमने दो मानकों को देखा है, पहला है विश्वासियों के जीवनों तथा प्राथमिकताओं में आने वाला आधारभूत परिवर्तन और प्रभु के प्रति दिखने वाला उनका समर्पण और प्रतिबद्धता, यदि वे वास्तव में नया-जन्म पाए हुए हैं, तो। दूसरा है, जो प्रभु के साथ सच में जुड़ गए हैं वे फिर प्रेरितों 2:42 की चार बातों में भी निरन्तर लौलीन रहते हैं, जैसे वे आरंभिक विश्वासी उन में तुरंत ही रहने लग गए थे। क्या ये चारों बातें आप के जीवन में भी सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता रखती हैं, और क्या आप उन आरंभिक विश्वासियों के समान उन में दृढ़ता के साथ बने रहते हैं?
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Building the Church – 13 – On The Lord Jesus Christ – 5
Unless a Believer knows what has been given to him by God, and why, he will be unable to fulfil the purpose of God for granting that thing to him. Since God has made everyone of His children, i.e., the Born-Again Christian Believers, a member of His Church and placed them in fellowship with His other children, therefore, they ought to learn and know about these responsibilities, to be God’s worthy stewards in utilizing these privileges. In this current series, we are learning about the Church of God and about fellowshipping with His children, not according to any denominational or man-made teachings, but directly from the Word of God the Bible, using Matthew 16:18 as the lead verse, where the word “Church” has been used for the first time in the Bible. Presently, we are learning about the Lord Jesus saying in this verse that He will build His Church. In the previous article we had learnt three things, on the basis of which we will learn about Lord Jesus making this statement.
The first thing was that the Lord Himself is building His Church. He has not left this work in the hands of anyone else, let alone His disciples on earth, not even in the hands of the angels of God. This by itself shows the great importance the Lord places upon His Church and building it, and how it needs to be done very carefully and with utmost precision. Consider some things written in the Bible about the beginning of the Church and its initial growth:
“Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:41-42). Convicted by Peter’s preaching and call to repentance (Acts 2:38), of those ‘devout Jews’ (Acts 2:5), that were gathered in Jerusalem to fulfil the Law, about three thousand believed on the Word of God, got baptized, and joined ‘them’, i.e., the disciples chosen by the Lord Jesus. Also, there came a fundamental change in their lives, in their perspective about the Lord Jesus, and in the priorities in their lives. Now ‘they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers’ - this was the beginning of the Church, and of the separation of the true committed Christian Believers from the world into their new identity by which they will be recognized. It is also the change that occurs in the hearts and lives of all the truly Born-Again Believers in the Lord.
“praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved” (Acts 2:47). As written in this verse, after the above event, whoever would be saved, they would be joined into the Church of the Lord Jesus, not by any of the Lord’s disciples, nor by any apostle, not even by any of those initial 3000 converts, but by the Lord Jesus Himself! No man, whoever he may be, can join anyone to the Lord’s Church; this is done only by the Lord Himself, based on Lord’s criteria and evaluation; and the person has to be one who has been saved, not by fulfilling any denominational or man made criteria and standards, but only to the satisfaction of the Lord Jesus.
“And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's Porch. Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women” (Acts 5:12-14). From the beginning of the Church, many signs and wonders were done by the disciples and apostles of the Lord; the people esteemed them highly; still, no one on their own had the courage to join them. Although the disciples and apostles of the Lord were filled with the Holy Spirit, could very powerfully and effectively preach the gospel of repentance and salvation and teach God’s Word, could work and show signs and wonders, yet they could not join the interested people into the Church. It was only the Lord Jesus Himself who joined the people into His Church. The first Church was the “Church of the Lord Jesus Christ,” not of any apostle or person, nor belonging to any place or organization; that is how it is now and will always be.
And when the work of the Lord started to grow, then as the Lord had taught in His parable of the wheat and the tares (Matthew 13:24-30, 37-43), Satan too started to mix his people into the Church. Although not the disciples, but the Lord knew and recognized them; but still, till even now, he has not permitted even His angels to uproot and remove the people of Satan, but has left this removal and segregation for the end, lest the actual people of the Lord suffer any loss (Matthew 13:28-30) - the Lord does not permit even His angels to meddle with His Church. But from time to time, the Lord keeps warning His people, exposing and weeding out the people of Satan (Acts 20:29-31; 2 Timothy 4:10, 14; 1 John 2:18-19; 4:1-6; 3 John 1:9-10). Only the people of the Lord will be allowed to remain in the Church of the Lord; the Lord will not permit anyone else to stay; and it is the Lord who is carrying on with the work of examining, testing, identifying, and segregating the true from the false Believers. He does not allow anyone else to do this, lest even one of His people come to any harm.
If you are a Christian Believer, then examine and evaluate yourself, ascertain on what basis you consider yourself to be a Christian Believer, and how, by whom or what process, have you been joined to the Church? The Church that you are joined with, is it actually the Church of the Lord Jesus, or is it of some person, or of an organization, or of a sect or denomination? What are the rules, regulations and laws being followed and implemented in that Church; are they man-made, or of the Bible? Two criteria that we have seen here, of carrying out this evaluation and examination are, firstly the fundamental change in the lives and priorities, and the commitment to the Lord that comes in the life of the Believers, if they are truly Born Again. The second is that those who are truly joined to the Lord, also “continue steadfastly” in the four things of Acts 2:42, into which those initial converts had immediately committed themselves. Are those four things the top priority of your life, and do you steadfastly continue in them as those Believers did?
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
