परमेश्वर की क्षमा और न्याय – 2
पिछले लेख से हमने इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में दी गई छठी आरम्भिक बात, “अन्तिम न्याय” के एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण पक्ष के बारे में देखना आरम्भ किया है। हमने परमेश्वर के वचन के विभिन्न खण्डों और उदाहरणों से देखा है कि यह अन्तिम न्याय मसीही विश्वासियों का होगा, उन्हें उनके प्रतिफल और परिणाम देने के लिए, और उद्धार पाने के बाद उन्होंने जो मसीही जीवन जिया है, उसके आधार पर किया जाएगा। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा है कि मसीही जीवन की सभी बातें, भली हों या बुरी, उन सब की बड़ी बारीकी से जाँच-पड़ताल की जाएगी, परखे जाने से कुछ नहीं बचने पाएगा, और उनके बारे में प्रभु यीशु का न्याय बिल्कुल निष्पक्ष और त्रुटि रहित होगा। अधिकाँश ईसाइयों या मसीहियों के लिए इस बात को स्वीकार करना बहुत कठिन है कि मसीही विश्वासियों का न्याय होगा, क्योंकि “न्याय” के साथ जुड़ी सामान्य प्रवृत्ति और विचार यही है कि न्याय पापियों का, उद्धार न पाए हुओं का होना चाहिए और उन्हीं का होगा। मसीहियों के लिए, विशेषकर नया जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए, इससे भी कठिन यह स्वीकार करना है कि उन्होंने जो भी अच्छा या बुरा किया है, सब प्रकट कर दिया जाएगा और उसका न्याय किया जाएगा। उन्होंने जो अच्छा किया है उसके लिए उन्हें प्रतिफल देने के लिए उस अच्छे का न्याय किया जाना तो फिर भी समझ में आता है; लेकिन बुरे, अर्थात उसे जो परमेश्वर को अस्वीकार्य है, दूसरे शब्दों में जो प्रभु की दृष्टि में पाप है, उस को भी प्रकट कर के उसका भी न्याय किया जाएगा, उनका इसे मान लेना लगभग असम्भव हो जाता है। जबकि 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:13-15 और 2 कुरिन्थियों 5:10 जैसे पद इस बात को बिल्कुल स्पष्ट कर देते हैं।
उन लोगों की यह दृढ़ मान्यता है कि उनके पापों का कभी न्याय नहीं होगा, क्योंकि उनका दृढ़ विश्वास है कि जिन पापों का उन्होंने अंगीकार कर लिया है, जिनके लिए उन्होंने क्षमा माँग ली है, हो सकता है कि उन्होंने उन पापों को “प्रभु यीशु के लहू में ढाँप भी दिया” हो, वे पाप कभी भी, किसी भी तरह से न्याय के लिए खोले नहीं जा सकते हैं। अपने इस विश्वास को सही ठहराने के लिए वे बाइबल के कुछ पद, जिन्हें हम पिछले लेख में देख चुके हैं, जैसे कि यशायाह 38:17; 43:25; 44:22; 1 यूहन्ना 1:9, जो यह कहते हैं कि परमेश्वर पापों को बादलों के समान मिटा देता है, क्षमा करके पीठ के पीछे फेंक देता है, उन्हें कभी याद नहीं करता है, आदि, का हवाला देते हैं। और यह बहुत दुखद तथा दुर्भाग्य पूर्ण बात है कि अधिकाँश मसीही, यहाँ तक कि मसीही अगुवे, प्रचारक, और शिक्षक भी इन पदों की गलत व्याख्या करके इनका दुरुपयोग पाप करने के लाइसेंस के समान करते हैं और करना सिखाते हैं। ये लोग पाप करते हैं, उस का मज़ा लेते हैं, उस से मिलने वाले भौतिक या शारीरिक लाभों प्राप्त करते हैं, और फिर जाकर प्रभु के सामने उन पापों को मान लेते हैं, उनके लिए प्रभु से क्षमा माँग लेते हैं, और कुछ लोग तो उन पापों को प्रभु यीशु के लहू में ढाँप देने का दावा भी करते हैं। इस प्रकार से उन्हें लगता है कि वे अब शुद्ध और स्वच्छ हो गए हैं; परमेश्वर द्वारा पाप क्षमा हो गए, भुला दिए गए, और फेंक दिए गए, अब फिर कभी याद नहीं किए जाएँगे। फिर अगली बार, आवश्यकता के अनुसार, यही प्रक्रिया दोहराई जाती है – पाप करना, उसका मज़ा और लाभ प्राप्त कर लेना, उसे अँगीकार कर के क्षमा माँग लेना, और फिर से अपने आप को स्वच्छ और शुद्ध मान लेना; तब तक के लिए जब तक इसे फिर से दोहराने की आवश्यकता न पड़े। ये लोग ऐसा इस धारणा के आधार पर करते हैं कि एक बार उन्होंने पापों को मान लिया और उनके लिए क्षमा माँग ली, तो परमेश्वर अपने वचन (1 यूहन्ना 1:9) के अनुसार सब कुछ साफ कर देगा, और वे परमेश्वर के साथ अपने जीवनों को फिर से सामान्य रीति से बिताने पाएँगे। इस प्रकार से वे परमेश्वर की क्षमा और भुला देने को एक मज़ाक बना लेते हैं। आने वाले लेखों में हम उन पदों और उनकी उस गलत समझ को देखेंगे जिन के आधार पर यह बाइबल के विपरीत रवैया, व्यवहार, और पालन किया जाता है; और जिसे देख तथा सीखकर बहुत से अन्य लोग भी इसी गलती में पड़ते रहते हैं।
लेकिन एक अन्य सम्बन्धित स्पष्टीकरण भी है जिसे ये विश्वासी उस बारीकी से की जाने वाली तथा भली और बुरी दोनों प्रकार की बातों की जाँच के लिए देते हैं, जिसके बारे में 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:13-15 और 2 कुरिन्थियों 5:10 में लिखा है। वे कहते हैं कि इन और अन्य सम्बन्धित पदों में कही गई यह जाँच उन पापों की होगी, जिन्हें विश्वासी मानने और उनकी क्षमा प्राप्त करने से चूक गया। उनका विचार है कि व्यक्ति यह भूल सकता है कि उसने पाप किया था, या यह भी हो सकता है कि उसे पता ही न चले कि उसने अनजाने में कोई पाप कर दिया है, या व्यक्ति किसी ऐसी बीमारी अथवा शारीरिक दशा में चला जाए जिस के कारण उसे उन पापों की क्षमा माँगने का अवसर ही नहीं रहे। इसलिए ये और इनके समान अन्य पाप होंगे जिनकी क्षमा किसी कारणवश नहीं माँगी जा सकी, उन्हीं का न्याय किया जाएगा; किन्तु जिन पापों को मान लिया और जिनके लिए क्षमा माँग ली, वो हमेशा के लिए साफ कर दिए गए हैं, इसलिए उनका कभी न्याय नहीं किया जाएगा। लेकिन इस प्रकार की सोच रखना, उद्धार और पापों की क्षमा के बारे में बाइबल की भली-भाँति स्थापित शिक्षाओं और सिद्धान्तों के विरुद्ध जाता है।
हम इसके बारे में अगले लेख में देखेंगे, और फिर उसके बाद अदन की वाटिका में पाप के आने से सम्बन्धित बातों को लेंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

God’s Forgiveness and Justice – 2
From the last article, we have begun considering a very important aspect of the sixth elementary principle given in Hebrews 6:1-2, i.e., “Eternal Judgment.” We have seen from various passages and examples from God’s Word the Bible that this final and eternal judgment will be of the Christian Believers, to give them their rewards and consequences, based upon the Christian life they have lived after salvation. And we have also seen that everything good or bad in their lives will be thoroughly and minutely examined, nothing will escape, and the Lord Jesus’s judgment about them will be flawless. For most Christians, this is a difficult concept to accept that the Believers will be judged, since the general tendency and thinking associate with “judgment” is that it is the sinners and unsaved who need to be, and only they will be judged. Far more difficult for the Christians, especially the Born-Again Christian Believers, to accept is the contention that everything good or bad that they have done, will be laid open and judged. That the good they have done will be evaluated for the rewards they will get is understandable; but that even the ‘bad’ i.e., all that is unacceptable in the Lord’s eyes, in other words that which was sinful, even the forgiven sins, will also be judged becomes something practically impossible for them to accept, despite passages like 2 Corinthians 5:10 and 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 making this very clear.
Their firm belief is that their sins will never be judged, because they are very sure that there is simply no way that the sins that they have confessed and prayed to be forgiven, which they may even have “covered in the blood of the Lord Jesus” can ever, anyhow, be opened up for judgment. To justify this belief they quote Biblical verses that we have seen in the last article, saying that God wipes away sins like clouds, throws them behind His back, never remembers them, verses like Isaiah 38:17; 43:25; 44:22; 1 John 1:9. And the very sad and unfortunate fact is that these verses and their misinterpretation is used by most Christian Believers, even the elders, preachers, and teachers as a license to sin, and also teach others the same. They sin, enjoy its pleasures, utilize the worldly gains of that sin, and then go and confess their sins, and some claim to cover their sin in the blood of Lord Jesus, His ask for forgiveness for it. Thus they feel that they have become clean and pure; the sin is forgiven, forgotten, and thrown away by God, never to be remembered again. And the next time around, as and when required, the same process of sinning – enjoying and utilizing it – confessing - asking forgiveness for it is repeated all over again. This is done on the grounds that once they confess and ask forgiveness, everything will be cleaned up by God according to His Word (1 John 1:9), and they can go to back to being normal with God in their lives. Thereby they make a mockery of the forgiveness and forgetting of God. In the coming articles we will consider the verses and the interpretation that is used to justify and propagate such unBiblical attitude, behavior, and practice; and which also leads many others into making the same mistake.
There is another related explanation that these Believers offer for the thorough scrutiny of all things, whether good or bad, stated in 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 and 2 Corinthians 5:10. They say that the judgment mentioned in these and other related verses, will be of the sins that a person fails to confess and ask forgiveness for. Their thinking is that a person may forget having sinned, or not realize that they may unknowingly have sinned in some manner, or the person may have gone into a medical condition or some other such situation that did not allow them to confess those sins and ask forgiveness for them, etc. So, it will be these and similar unconfessed sins whose forgiveness was missed out due to some reason or the other, that will be judged; but the sins that have been confessed and forgiveness asked for them are forever cleaned out, so will never be judged. But this line of thinking goes against some very well-established Biblical facts and doctrinal things related to salvation and forgiveness of sins.
We will see this in the next article, before we start considering the entry of sin in the Garden of Eden.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
