आराधना के भौतिक लाभ (1)

आराधना के बारे में अपने इस अध्ययन में हम देख चुके हैं कि परमेश्वर की आराधना करना क्या है, आराधना के विभिन्न स्वरूप और अभिव्यक्तियाँ क्या हैं, परमेश्वर की आराधना करने की आवश्यकता और महत्व क्या हैं, तथा आराधना के आत्मिक लाभ क्या हैं। अभी तब आत्मिक लाभों के बारे में हमने देखा है कि सच्ची आराधना किस प्रकार से हमारे लिए लाभकारी और सहायक होती है; उससे हम:

• परमेश्वर के लिए उपयोगी बनते हैं

• हमारी प्रार्थनाएँ प्रभावी हो जाती हैं

• परमेश्वर में हमारा भरोसा दृढ़ और उन्नत होता रहता है

• हम सुसमाचार प्रचार में प्रभावी और फलवन्त हो जाते हैं

• हम शैतान द्वारा पाप और संसार में फंसने तथा भ्रष्ट हो जाने से बचे रहते हैं

लेकिन क्या आराधना से संबंधित बस इतना ही है - केवल आत्मिक बातें, शारीरिक लाभ का कुछ भी नहीं? क्या सच्ची आराधना किसी भी प्रकार से हमें कोई भौतिक या शारीरिक लाभ प्रदान करती है, और पृथ्वी के हमारे जीवन में किसी प्रकार से हमारे लिए लाभकारी होती है?

अवश्य! आराधना हमारे पृथ्वी के जीवन के लिए भी लाभकारी होती है। सच्ची आराधना न केवल वर्तमान में हमारे आत्मिक तथा भविष्य के लिए हमारे परलोक के जीवन के लिए लाभकारी है; बल्कि जब तक हम इस संसार में जीते और कार्य करते हैं, हमें भौतिक और शारीरिक लाभ भी प्रदान करती है।

लेकिन किसी गलतफहमी में नहीं पड़ें; यह भौतिक संपन्नता तथा सांसारिक लाभ के लिए सुसमाचार के उपयोग का प्रचार बिलकुल भी नहीं है। कोई भी यह नहीं समझे कि आराधना के द्वारा वे परमेश्वर को चालाकी से फंसा लेंगे, उसे बाध्य कर लेंगे कि किसी भी प्रकार से उनके द्वारा की गई आराधना के प्रत्युत्तर में परमेश्वर उन्हें कोई शारीरिक या भौतिक लाभ प्रदान करे।

यूहन्ना 4:23-24 पर वापस जाइए - परमेश्वर ऐसे लोगों को ढूँढ़ रहा है जो आत्मा और सच्चाई से उसकी आराधना करते हैं। इन पदों में शब्द “आत्मा” पवित्र आत्मा के लिए नहीं आया है, वरन व्यक्ति की अपनी आत्मा के लिए प्रयोग किया गया है। जैसा हम पहले देख चुके हैं, अभिप्राय है कि परमेश्वर ऐसे लोगों को ढूँढ़ रहा है जो उसे पूरी तरह से समर्पित हों, उसके पूर्णतः आज्ञाकारी हों, उसके समक्ष सदा नतमस्तक बने रहें। उनका यह परमेश्वर को प्रोसक्यूनियोस करना एक बाहरी दिखावा नहीं, उनके अन्दर से उनके मन और आत्मा से आने वाला हो; इसका संबंध उनकी किसी भौतिक इच्छाओं, लाभ, या सांसारिक लालच से नहीं हो।

यदि आराधना करने का उद्देश्य परमेश्वर को अपने हाथों की कठपुतली बनाकर उससे कुछ सांसारिक या भौतिक लाभ प्राप्त करना है, तो यह स्वार्थी और स्वयं की महिमा के लिए की जाने वाली आराधना है; वह सच्ची आराधना नहीं है जो परमेश्वर चाहता है और जिससे परमेश्वर की महिमा होती है; और इस आधार पर यह स्वतः ही उस मानक पर असफल हो जाती है जो परमेश्वर चाहता है; व्यक्ति के लिए व्यर्थ एवं निष्फल हो जाती है। किन्तु यदि हम सच्चे मन और सही भावना से परमेश्वर की आराधना उसका गुणानुवाद करने, उसकी महिमा करने के लिए करते हैं, तो परमेश्वर अपने समय में, अपने तरीके से, हमें वे भौतिक तथा शारीरिक वस्तुएँ दे सकता है, जो वह सोचता है कि हमारे लिए आवश्यक और लाभकारी हैं, हमारे द्वारा उसकी सेवकाई के लिए हमारी सहायता कर सकती हैं। परमेश्वर न केवल हमारी आत्मिक भलाई, उन्नति और आवश्यकताओं के लिए हमारी देख-भाल करता है, वरन शारीरिक और भौतिक आवश्यकताओं के लिए भी करता है। हमारा स्वर्गीय प्रेमी पिता होने के नाते, उसे हमारी  सभी आवश्यकताओं के बारे में पता है, और वह उनके लिए प्रावधान करता है, उन्हें उपलब्ध भी करवाता है - हमारे लालच और लालसाओं के अनुसार नहीं, बल्कि हमारी आवश्यकताओं के अनुसार (फिलिप्पियों 4:19)।

इस प्रकार से हम देखते हैं कि सच्ची आराधना के केवल आत्मिक ही नहीं शारीरिक और भौतिक लाभ भी हैं, किन्तु यह केवल परमेश्वर ही निर्धारित करता है कि किसे क्या देना है, कब देना है, किस प्रकार से देना है, कितना देना है, आदि। हम आराधना का उपयोग उसे बाध्य करने या उससे अपनी इच्छानुसार कुछ प्राप्त करने के लिए नहीं कर सकते हैं। अगले लेख में हम इसके बारे में कुछ और बातें देखेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Material Blessings of Worship (1)

In this study on worship, we have seen what worship is, the forms or expressions of worship, the necessity and importance of worshipping God, and the spiritual benefits of worshipping God. We have seen how true worship benefits us spiritually through:

• Making us usable by God

• Making our prayers effective

• Helping us in developing and maintaining trust in God

• Making our sharing the Gospel effective and fruitful

• Keeping us safe from getting drawn into and corrupted by the world

But is that all there is to it – everything spiritual, nothing physical? Does true worship, in any manner, benefit us physically and materially, and help us in our life on earth?

Yes! Most certainly it does; true worship not only benefits us spiritually, both, presently as well as for the coming world; but also benefits physically and materially while we live and work in this world.

But this is not advocating a Prosperity Gospel, or encouraging the worshippers to think they can manipulate and coax God into providing material benefits to them, because of their worshipping Him in any of the various ways we have seen so far.

Go back to John 4:23-24 – God is looking for those who worship Him in spirit and in truth. In both these verses, the word “spirit” is in small letters, whereas in English, wherever the Holy Spirit is spoken of, the ‘S’ is capitalized to indicate the difference – as in v.24 – “God is Spirit…worship in spirit and truth”. The implication is that true worship, the kind that God is looking for – the complete prostrating before Him and submitting to Him in total obedience – the proskuneos has to happen from within – one’s spirit, or, non-physical inner aspect; and has to be unrelated to any material desires, gain, or greed.

If the intention of worship is to manipulate God so as to extract physical and material benefits from Him, then it is a selfish and self-glorifying worship; not the true worship that exalts God and glorifies Him – so it fails the test of what God is looking for! If we worship to exalt and glorify God, then God in His time and manner can and will bless us with those material things that He decides are required for us and can help us in our ministry for Him. God cares not only about our spiritual well-being and requirements, but our physical and material well-being and requirements as well. As our loving and caring Father, He knows and provides for our all kinds of necessities - not according to our greed, but according to our need (Philippians 4:19).

So we see that besides spiritual benefits, the physical and material benefits too are definitely a reward for true worship, but it is God who decides – what to give, when to give, how to give, and how much to give; we cannot use worship to force His hand or demand a particular material benefit from Him. In the next article we will consider about this some more.

Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

आराधना – भ्रष्ट किए जाने से सुरक्षा के लिए

पिछले कुछ लेखों से हम परमेश्वर की आराधना करने के लाभ तथा प्राप्त होने वाली बातों के बारे में देखते आ रहे हैं, और यह भी देखा है कि परमेश्वर क्यों चाहता है कि उसके लोगों की प्राथमिकता आराधना करना हो, न कि केवल प्रार्थना करने वाले ही बने रहना। पिछले तीन लेखों में हमने देखा था कि किस प्रकार से आराधना हमारी प्रार्थनाओं को प्रभावी बनाती है, परमेश्वर में हमारे भरोसे को दृढ़ बनाए रखती है और उन्नत करती है, तथा हमें प्रभु द्वारा दी गई सुसमाचार प्रचार और प्रसार करने की ज़िम्मेदारी को प्रभावी तथा फलवन्त रीति से निर्वाह करने में सहायता करती है। इससे फिर हम शैतान द्वारा परमेश्वर, उसके वचन, और उसके कार्यों पर अविश्वास तथा संदेहों में फंसाए जाकर पाप में गिर जाने से बचे रहते हैं। शैतान मसीही विश्वासियों पर निरंतर हमले करता रहता है कि उन्हें किसी प्रकार से पाप में गिरा और फंसा दे। नया जन्म पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी अपना उद्धार तो कभी नहीं खोएगा, किन्तु पाप के कारण अपनी अनन्तकाल की आशीषों की घोर हानि अवश्य उठाएगा; और यदि वह बारंबार समझौते और पाप में पड़ते रहने की प्रवृत्ति रखेगा तो अपने इस ज़िद्दी और बिगड़े हुए व्यवहार के लिए उसे परमेश्वर से ताड़ना भी सहनी पड़ेगी। आज हम एक और लाभ के बारे में देखेंगे, जो हमारे व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन और प्रभु यीशु मसीह में विश्वास के जीवन के साथ, तथा मसीही विश्वासी के बारंबार संसार के साथ समझौता करते रहने तथा पाप में गिरते रहने से संबंधित है; और जिस के कारण उसे गंभीर तथा स्थाई हानि उठानी पड़ती है। ऐसे में आराधना से मिलने वाला लाभ है कि आराधना हमें भ्रष्ट होने और संसार के साथ समझौता कर के पाप में गिरने से बचाए रखती है।

हम रोमियों 1:21-23 में लिखा हुआ पाते हैं कि “इस कारण कि परमेश्वर को जानने पर भी उन्होंने परमेश्वर के योग्य बड़ाई और धन्यवाद न किया, परन्तु व्यर्थ विचार करने लगे, यहां तक कि उन का निर्बुद्धि मन अन्धेरा हो गया। वे अपने आप को बुद्धिमान जताकर मूर्ख बन गए। और अविनाशी परमेश्वर की महिमा को नाशमान मनुष्य, और पक्षियों, और चौपायों, और रेंगने वाले जन्तुओं की मूरत की समानता में बदल डाला।” यहाँ पर, पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, प्रेरित पौलुस एक से बदतर एक, तीन कदम के पतन और फिर उनके दुष्परिणामों (रोमियों 1:24-32) की रूपरेखा देता है। यहाँ पर जिन लोगों की बात हो रही है, यद्यपि वे परमेश्वर को जानते थे, परन्तु न तो उन्होंने उसकी योग्य बड़ाई की, और न ही परमेश्वर के प्रति धन्यवादी हुए। हम पहले देख चुके हैं कि धन्यवाद करना आराधना का सबसे बुनियादी, सबसे साधारण स्वरूप है, और परमेश्वर की बड़ाई या गुणानुवाद करना आराधना का उच्चतम स्वरूप है। इसलिए यह वाक्यांश, “उन्होंने परमेश्वर के योग्य बड़ाई और धन्यवाद न किया” की जा सकने वाली परमेश्वर की हर प्रकार की आराधना के स्वरूपों का सूचक है। किसी भी स्वरूप में परमेश्वर की आराधना न करने के कारण, उन लोगों में, अर्थात जो परमेश्वर को जानते थे किन्तु उसकी आराधना नहीं करते थे, एक के बाद एक तीन प्रकार के प्रभाव आए। ध्यान कीजिए, यहाँ यह नहीं लिखा गया है कि परमेश्वर ने उनके जीवन में कुछ किया; बल्कि पद 24-32 दिखाते हैं कि जो हुआ वह उनके परमेश्वर की आराधना न करने का स्वाभाविक परिणाम था; अर्थात, आराधना का अभाव जीवन में हानिकारक प्रवृत्तियाँ और प्रभाव ले आता है।

यहाँ पर उन विनाशकारी परिणामों तक पहुँचने के, पद 21-23 में दिए गए तीन कदम हैं: पहला, व्यर्थ विचार करने लगना, अर्थात मूर्खता और दुष्टता के विचार मन में उत्पन्न होना; फिर, दूसरा कदम है उनका निर्बुद्धि मन अँधेरा हो गया, अर्थात वे बेपरवाह और बिना समझ-बूझ के कार्य करने लग गए; और तीसरा है, वे अपनी दृष्टि में तो बुद्धिमान किन्तु परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में मूर्ख हो गए, और अपनी ‘बुद्धिमानी’ में उन्होंने परमेंश्वर के स्वरूप और महिमा को ही बदल डाला - वे सच्चे जीवते परमेश्वर से दूर हो गए और उसके स्थान पर अपने लिए अपनी कल्पना और इच्छा के अनुसार ईश्वर बना लिए। परिणाम यह हुआ कि परमेश्वर भी उन से दूर हो गया, और उन्हें उनकी इच्छानुसार करते रहने के लिए छोड़ दिया (पद 24); और फिर यहाँ से लेकर इस अध्याय के अन्त तक एक निरंतर पतन और दुराचार का वर्णन है जिसका अन्त विनाश में होता है। जहाँ आशीष हो सकती थी, वहाँ विनाश आ गया।

यह हमें निर्गमन 32 अध्याय में दिए गए इस्राएलियों के व्यवहार के बारे में ध्यान दिलाता है। उन इस्राएलियों ने परमेश्वर से याचना की थी कि उन्हें मिस्र के दासत्व से छुड़ाए, उन्होंने परमेश्वर के आश्चर्यकर्मों को देखा और अनुभव किया था जिनमें लाल-सागर का दो भाग होना भी सम्मिलित है, उन्होंने उनके प्रति परमेश्वर की देखभाल और सुरक्षा को जाना और अनुभव किया था - वे प्रतिदिन परमेश्वर का दिया हुआ मन्ना खाते थे, उसके द्वारा उपलब्ध करवाया गया पानी पीते थे, उनके समक्ष वह आग के खम्भे और उन पर छाया बनाए रखने वाले बादल के रूप में विद्यमान रहता था। किन्तु फिर भी, जब मूसा परमेश्वर से व्यवस्था और निर्देश लेने के लिए पर्वत पर गया, तो बजाए परमेश्वर द्वारा उन्हें प्रतिदिन उपलब्ध करवाई जा रही आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति एवं सुरक्षा के लिए उसका धन्यवादी और कृतज्ञ होने के, वे अपने मनों में व्यर्थ विचार करने लगे, जिस परमेश्वर की छाया में वे जी रहे थे, जिसका मन्ना खा रहे थे और पानी पी रहे थे, उन्होंने उसे ही भुला दिया, उससे दूर हो गए, और उपासना करने लिए एक सोने का बछड़ा बना लिया। मूसा के हस्तक्षेप और मध्यस्थता के कारण वे परमेश्वर के प्रकोप से तो बच गए, किन्तु भारी ताड़ना फिर भी सहनी पड़ी।

प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने मत्ती 12:43-45, तथा लूका 11:24-26, में कहा है कि एक बार जब व्यक्ति के हृदय को दुष्टात्मा और उसके प्रभावों से स्वच्छ कर दिया जाता है, तो यदि वह व्यक्ति अपने हृदय को परमेश्वर की भक्ति के विचार और व्यवहार से भरा हुआ और व्यस्त न रखे, तो फिर और दुष्टात्माएं उसमें लौट कर आ जाती हैं, और उसकी दशा पहली वाली से भी बदतर हो जाती है। प्रभु यीशु ने यह भी कहा है कि प्रत्येक बुरी बात मनुष्य के मन ही में से निकल कर आती है (मरकुस 7:18-23)। इसीलिए सुलैमान ने लिखा है कि “सब से अधिक अपने मन की रक्षा कर; क्योंकि जीवन का मूल स्रोत वही है” (नीतिवचन 4:23); तथा पौलुस कहता है कि हम सदा सद्गुण और भक्ति के विचारों को अपने में बनाए रखें (फिलिप्पियों 4:8-9)। यदि हमारे मन परमेश्वर और उसके वचन की बातों से भरे हुए नहीं होंगे; यदि हम परमेश्वर पर, उसके वचन पर, निरंतर विचार और मनन नहीं करते रहेंगे, यदि हम किसी न किसी प्रकार से परमेश्वर की आराधना में लगे नहीं रहेंगे, तो अवश्य ही शैतान को समय और अवसर मिल जाएगा कि वह अपने विचार, अपनी बातों के बीज हमारे मनों में बो दे; और फिर देर-सवेर उनके विनाशकारी परिणाम हमारे जीवनों में दिखने भी लग जाएँगे। निरंतर आराधना करते रहने की प्रवृत्ति, आराधना का जीवन, आराधना करते रहने का अभ्यास हमें शैतान द्वारा भ्रष्ट करने और विनाश में ले जाने से बचाए रखेगा।

Worship - For Safety from Corruption

For the past few articles, we have been looking at the benefits and gains of worshipping God, and why God wants His people to primarily be worshippers, and not just “pray-ers.” In the last three articles we have seen how worshipping makes our prayers effective, helps in developing and maintaining our trust in God, and also makes us more effective and fruitful in our Lord assigned responsibility of preaching and spreading the gospel These, in turn, make us far less vulnerable to Satan’s ploys of making us fall through doubts and unbelief about God, His Word, and His works. Satan continually keeps attacking and trying to make the Christian Believers fall into sin. A Born-Again Christian Believer will never loose his salvation, but because of sin will suffer serious harm to his eternal blessings; and a tendency to repeatedly compromise and fall into sin will also result in chastisement from the Lord for this stubbornness and wayward behavior. Today we will look at another benefit related to our practical Christian life of faith in the Lord Jesus, which is related to a Christian Believer’s repeatedly falling into sin and compromising with the world, and thereby suffering irreparable loss. This benefit through worship is that Worship keeps us safe from getting corrupted and drawn away into the ways of the world.

We see written in Romans 1:21-23, “because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man--and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” Here, by the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul, a three-step decline, followed by the consequences of their lives taking a downhill course from bad to worse (Romans 1:24-32) has been outlined. The people being talked about are those who knew God, but they did not glorify Him, nor were they thankful to God. We have seen earlier that being thankful is the most basic, most simple form of worshipping God, whereas glorifying God is exalting Him, the highest form of worship. So, this phrase “they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful” in this verse, covers the whole range of various forms and expressions of worship that people can offer to God. The very lack of worshipping God in any manner, brought three successive changes within them, i.e., the people, who knew God, but did not exercise any form of worship, at all. Please note, it is not that God is doing something to them; rather, verses 24-32 outline the natural consequence of their not worshipping God - lack of worship automatically causes these detrimental things to come in.

 

The three steps to disastrous consequences mentioned in verses 21-23 are: First, their thoughts became futile, i.e., vain and foolish, given to wickedness; Then, Secondly, their foolish or wicked hearts were darkened, i.e., became undiscerning and uncaring; followed by, Thirdly, though they were wise in their own eyes, they became fools before God, and in their own ‘wisdom’, they changed the very form and glory of God - they moved away from the true and living God, and replaced Him with someone of their own imaginations. The consequence was that God too moved away from them, and left them to do what they felt like (verse 24); and from here to the end of the chapter is a steady downhill slide into disaster. What could have been a blessed life, became a disastrous life.

This reminds us of the behavior of the Israelites, in Exodus chapter 32. They had petitioned God for deliverance from the bondage of Egyptians, had seen and experienced God’s various miracles in Egypt as well as the parting of the Red Sea, had seen and experienced His care for them - they were daily eating of the manna and drinking the water He gave, and had the Pillar of Fire and Covering Cloud over them, as visible presence of God with them. But yet, when Moses went up to receive God’s Law and instructions, instead of continuing to trust and thank God for His daily provisions, presence, and security for them, they became futile in their thoughts, denied the God whose cloud was covering them and whose manna they were eating, water they were drinking, moved away from Him and made a golden calf to worship instead. Because of the intervention and pleading by Moses, they could escape God’s wrath, but they had to undergo a severe chastisement.

The Lord Jesus said in Matthew 12:43-45, and Luke 11:24-26, that after a person’s heart is cleansed from evil spirits and their influences, if he does not keep it occupied with godly thoughts and behavior, the evils spirits return back, and the end condition of the person is far worse than the first one. The Lord also said that all evil things, everything that corrupts a man comes from the heart (Mark 7:18-23). Therefore, Solomon exhorts  “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23); and Paul says to keep thinking and pondering over virtuous and godly things (Philippians 4:8-9). If our hearts are not filled with God and His Word; if we are not meditating or thinking about God and His Word all the time; if we are not constantly worshipping God in some manner or the other, Satan will find time and opportunity to plant his thoughts, his ideas into our hearts and draw us to corruption and its deleterious consequences. But if our hearts are full of God’s Word and His worship all the time, Satan will not find place or occasion to plant his seeds of corruption and disaster in our lives. An attitude, life, and continual practice of worship will keep us safe from being enticed away by Satan into corruption and disaster.

 

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

आराधना – प्रभावी सुसमाचार प्रचार के लिए

पिछले कुछ लेखों से हम परमेश्वर की आराधना करने के लाभ तथा प्राप्त होने वाले बातों के बारे में देखते आ रहे हैं, और यह भी देखा है कि परमेश्वर क्यों चाहता है कि उसके लोगों की प्राथमिकता आराधक बनना हो, न कि केवल प्रार्थना करने वाले ही बने रहना। पिछले दो लेखों में हमने देखा था कि किस प्रकार से आराधना हमारी प्रार्थनाओं को प्रभावी बनाती है तथा परमेश्वर में हमारे भरोसे को दृढ़ बनाए रखती है और उन्नत करती है, जिससे फिर हमारे शैतान द्वारा परमेश्वर, उसके वचन, और उसके कार्यों पर अविश्वास तथा संदेहों में फंसाए जाकर पाप में गिर जाने से बचे रहते हैं। आज हम एक और लाभ के बारे में देखेंगे, जो हमारे व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन और प्रभु यीशु मसीह में विश्वास के जीवन के साथ संबंधित है; एक ऐसी बात के बारे में जो प्रभु यीशु के शिष्यों के लिए अनिवार्य है - प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास लाने के द्वारा उद्धार पाने के सुसमाचार को फैलाना, जो कि प्रभु यीशु मसीह की, उसके सभी शिष्यों के लिए दी गई आज्ञा है (मत्ती 28:19-20; प्रेरितों1:8)। इस आम धारणा के विपरीत, यह केवल पास्टर या सेमनरी से प्रशिक्षण पाए हुए लोगों के लिए ही नहीं है! जब प्रभु यीशु ने यह आज्ञा दी थी, उस समय न तो कोई सेमनरी थीं और न ही प्रशिक्षण के कोई पाठ्यक्रम, लेकिन फिर भी सभी लोगों को हर परिस्थिति में यह करना ही था (प्रेरितों 8:3-4)। यह प्रभु की आज्ञा है कि जो कोई भी विश्वास के द्वारा उसका शिष्य बने, वह सुसमाचार का प्रचारक भी हो। हम यह कार्य मात्र औपचारिकता पूरी करने के लिए, या एक काम करने भर के लिए कर सकते हैं, और तब यह अप्रभावी तथा व्यर्थ होगा; या हम इसे प्रभावी और सार्थक रीति से कर सकते हैं। जो लोग प्रभु यीशु के शिष्य बनते हैं, उनके द्वारा सुसमाचार प्रचार और प्रसार की यह सेवकाई केवल प्रार्थना ही के द्वारा नहीं, वरन साथ ही आराधना के द्वारा सार्थक और प्रभावी होती है।

प्रभु यीशु ने अपने क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने के सन्दर्भ में कहा था कि जब वह ऊंचे पर चढ़ाया जाएगा तब सभी लोगों को अपने पास खींचेगा (यूहन्ना 12:32); इस कथन का प्रतीकात्मक अर्थ एवं उपयोग भी है - जब हम प्रभु यीशु का गुणानुवाद करते हैं, उसे अपनी आराधना के द्वारा अपने जीवन और व्यवहार में ऊँचे पर उठाते हैं, तो यह लोगों को प्रभु की ओर आकर्षित करता है और सुसमाचार प्रचार को प्रभावी बना देता है।

हम प्रेरितों 16 अध्याय में पौलुस और सिलास के फिलिप्पी में जेल में डाले जाने की घटना से देखते हैं कि जब अपनी उस कष्टप्रद और दुखद विपरीत परिस्थिति - ऐसी स्थिति जिसमें सामान्यतः लोग असभ्य भाषा तथा परमेश्वर के प्रति अपमानजनक शब्दों का प्रयोग करते हैं, में भी उन्होंने प्रभु की स्तुति और आराधना की, भजन गाए, तो न केवल उनके बंधन खुल गए बल्कि वे वहाँ के दारोगा और उसके परिवार को भी प्रभु की ओर आकर्षित कर सके, उन्हें प्रभु में ला सके और फिलिप्पी की कलीसिया की स्थापना हो गई। यदि पौलुस और सिलास आराधना नहीं कर रहे होते, यदि वे शान्त ही पड़े रहते, तो अन्य बंदी तथा दारोगा प्रभु की ओर आकर्षित नहीं होते। यह आराधना ही थी जिसने न केवल उनके बंधन खोल दिए, वरन लोगों के हृदय भी खोल दिये कि वे यीशु को प्रभु ग्रहण कर सके - उनकी आराधना ने सुसमाचार को प्रभावी बना दिया।

प्रेरितों 2 अध्याय में, यहूदियों को प्रचार किए गए पतरस के पहले सुसमाचार सन्देश से 3000 लोगों ने उद्धार पाया; पतरस के इस प्रचार का पहला भाग पूर्णता आराधना है - पतरस पहले उन यहूदियों के पापों के बारे में नहीं बल्कि परमेश्वर के बारे में, उसके गुणों, चरित्र, वचन, भविष्यवाणियों के बारे में, प्रभु यीशु और प्रभु के क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने के बारे में बोलता है। पतरस द्वारा प्रभु परमेश्वर का यह गुणानुवाद उसके श्रोताओं के हृदयों को छेद देता है, वे उससे समाधान पूछते हैं, और वह उन लोगों से पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करके यीशु को प्रभु स्वीकार करने और बपतिस्मा लेने के लिए कहता है (प्रेरितों 2:37-38)। यदि उसने पहले प्रभु परमेश्वर की आराधना, उसका गुणानुवाद और स्तुति नहीं की होती, प्रभु यीशु को ऊंचे पर नहीं उठाया होता, तो लोगों के अन्दर पापों के लिए कायल होने का एहसास भी नहीं होता, वे पश्चाताप और उद्धार की बात तक पहुँच ही नहीं पाते।

इसी प्रकार से प्रेरितों 17 अध्याय में, पौलुस अथेने के लोगों को सुसमाचार प्रचार करते हुए, पहले उनके समक्ष प्रभु परमेश्वर का गुणानुवाद करता है - उनके सामने परमेश्वर के गुणों, चरित्र, और व्यवहार का वर्णन करता है, और वहां से उन्हें प्रभु यीशु की ओर ले कर आता है जो उनका सृष्टिकर्ता है और एक दिन न्यायी भी होगा। तब पौलुस उन से आग्रह करता है, और उन्हें यह निर्णय करने तक लेकर आता है कि या तो अभी यीशु को अपना उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार कर के बच जाएँ, अन्यथा उन्हें एक न्याय के रूप में उसका सामना करना ही पड़ेगा।

प्रभावी सुसमाचार प्रचार केवल आराधना के द्वारा ही संभव है; यीशु नाम को ऊँचे पर उठाने, उसका गुणानुवाद करने के द्वारा। और क्योंकि सुसमाचार प्रचार एवं प्रसार प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी की ज़िम्मेदारी है, वे इस से बच नहीं सकते हैं, इसलिए कोई भी मसीही विश्वासी सच्चा आराधक हुए बिना कार्यकारी और प्रभावी नहीं हो सकता है।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Worship - For Effective Gospel Preaching

For the past few articles, we have been looking at the benefits and gains of worshipping God, and why God wants His people to primarily be worshippers, and not just “pray-ers.” In the last two articles we have seen how worshipping makes our prayers effective and also helps in developing and maintaining our trust in God; which, in turn, makes us far less vulnerable to Satan’s ploys of making us fall through doubts and unbelief about God, His Word, and His works. Today we will look at another benefit related to our practical Christian life of faith in the Lord Jesus; about something mandatory for the disciples of the Lord Jesus - spreading the Gospel of salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus, which is the Lord’s commandment for all of His disciples (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8). Contrary to the quite commonly held belief, this is not just for the Pastors or those with Seminary training! When the Lord Jesus gave this commandment, there were no Seminaries or training courses, but everybody had to do it anyways (Acts 8:3-4). It was the Lord’s commandment that all those who become His disciples by faith, should also spread the good news of salvation. We can do this as a merely fulfilling a formality, i.e., simply as a duty to be fulfilled, therefore ineffectively and vainly; or we can do it meaningfully and effectively. For those who become the Lord’s disciples, this ministry of preaching and spreading the Gospel is made effective through not just praying, but also through worshipping God.

The Lord Jesus, in context of His crucifixion said that when He is lifted up, He will draw people to Him (John 12:32); but this also has a figurative implication – when we exalt the Lord, when we lift Him up on high in and through our lives, behavior, and words, that will attract the people to Him and the Gospel preaching becomes effective.

We see in the instance of Paul and Silas in jail in Philippi, in Acts 16 – when they sang, praised and worshipped the Lord in their painful and adverse situation - a situation in which people usually use foul language and derogatory expressions against God, not only were they set free from their own bonds, but they could draw the jailor and his family to the Lord, and the Church in Philippi started off. Had Paul and Silas not been worshipping, even if they had just remained silent in their pain and discomfort, the Jailor and the prisoners would not have got attracted to the Lord. It was worship that not only set them free from their bonds, but also opened the hearts of the hearers, to receive Jesus as Lord - worship made the gospel effective.

Peter’s first sermon to the Jews in Jerusalem, in Acts 2, where 3000 people were saved, the first part of the sermon is all worship – Peter first talks not about the sins of those Jews but about God, His attributes, His Word and prophecies, the Lord Jesus and His crucifixion; and then when this exaltation and praise leads the audience to being convicted, he asks them to repent, believe in the Lord Jesus, and be baptized in His name (Acts 2:37-38). If he had not first exalted and praised the Lord, and had not through worship lifted up the Lord Jesus on high, the people would not have come around to being convicted, they would not have come around to repentance and salvation either.

Similarly, in Acts 17, Paul preaching to the Athenians, first exalts the Lord before them – speaking about God’s attributes and qualities, and then leads them to the Lord Jesus as the God he was talking to them about; the One, who not only is their creator, but will also be their judge, and then exhorts them and brings them to the point of their deciding to either repent and be saved now by accepting Jesus as their Savior, or else eventually face Him as their Judge.

 Effective Gospel preaching is only through worship; through exalting and lifting on high the name of Jesus, which then draws people to Him. And since no Believer can escape the responsibility of preaching the gospel; therefore, no Believer can avoid being a worshipper.

आराधना – परमेश्वर पर भरोसे को दृढ़ एवं उन्नत करने के लिए

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि किस प्रकार से आराधना प्रार्थनाओं को प्रभावी बनाती है, और बाइबल यह दिखाती है कि परमेश्वर के लोग अपनी प्रार्थनाएँ आराधना के साथ ही अर्पित किया करते थे। इसके पीछे कार्यकारी विचार परमेश्वर को जानना और उस पर भरोसा रखना है। व्यक्ति जितनी निकटता से परमेश्वर को जानता है, जितना अधिक उस पर भरोसा करता ही, उतनी ही अच्छी उसकी आराधना होगी, और प्रार्थना तथा परमेश्वर से उसका उत्तर मिलने के विषय उसकी समझ-बूझ भी उतनी ही बेहतर होगी। हम पहले देख चुके हैं कि व्यक्ति द्वारा की जाने वाली आराधना परमेश्वर के साथ उसकी घनिष्ठता, उसके द्वारा परमेश्वर के चरित्र, गुणों, व्यवहार, और परमेश्वर के कार्यों को जानने पर आधारित है। आराधना तथा परमेश्वर को जानने के मध्य एक परस्पर सहायक तथा लाभकारी होने का संबंध है - हम जितना बेहतर परमेश्वर को जानेंगे, हमारी आराधना भी उतनी ही बेहतर होगी; और हम जितनी अधिक आराधना करेंगे, हम उतना ही उसकी निकटता और घनिष्ठता में बढ़ते चले जाएँगे। तो, इस प्रकार से ये दोनों एक, दूसरे को पोषित करते हैं, बढ़ाते और संवारते रहते हैं; व्यक्ति जितना अधिक परमेश्वर की आराधना करने का अभ्यास करता रहता है, वह उतना ही परमेश्वर को निकटता से जानने, और बेहतर जानने के लिए प्रोत्साहित होता चला जाता है। यही सिद्धांत आराधना के एक और लाभ को हमारे सामने ले कर आता है, जिसे हम आज देखेंगे - आराधना परमेश्वर में हमारे भरोसे को बनाए रखती और बढ़ाती है।

यह दैनिक जीवन में आम तौर से देखे जाने वाला तथ्य है कि हम किसी व्यक्ति को, उसके गुणों, योग्यताओं, उसके व्यवहार आदि को, जितना अधिक जानते हैं, हम उतना ही अधिक यह जानने पाते हैं कि वह किन बातों और परिस्थितियों में हमारी सहायता कर सकेगा, हम उस पर कितना तथा किन बातों के लिए भरोसा कर सकते हैं, और वह क्या कुछ कर अथवा नहीं सकता है, आदि। हम जितना अधिक किसी व्यक्ति के साथ घनिष्ठ होंगे, किसी परिस्थिति अथवा आवश्यकता के समय में उसकी सहायता उपलब्ध होने के प्रति उतने ही आश्वस्त होंगे। साथ ही, जब हमें यह पता होता है कि किसी व्यक्ति का सहायता करने का स्वभाव है, और उसने कई लोगों की विभिन्न परिस्थितियों में सहायता की है, तो हमारी भी हिम्मत बनी रहती है कि अपनी किसी परिस्थिति अथवा आवश्यकता में यदि हम उसके पास जाएँगे तो वह हमारी भी सहायता करेगा। ठीक यही बातें परमेश्वर के साथ हमारे संबंधों में भी कार्यकारी होती हैं। हम जितना अधिक परमेश्वर को जानते हैं, उतना ही अधिक उस पर भरोसा बनाए रखेंगे और अपने जीवन की विभिन्न परिस्थितियों में उसकी सहायता के लिए उतने ही आश्वस्त बने रहेंगे। जब हम परमेश्वर की आराधना करते हैं, विशेषकर उसकी स्तुति और गुणानुवाद के द्वारा, तो हम अपने अंदर उतना अधिक उसके गुणों, योग्यताओं, चरित्र, व्यवहार, कार्यों तथा कार्य-विधियों, आदि को दोहराते रहते हैं; और जो लोग हमारी आराधना सुन रहे हैं, उन्हें भी इन बातों को बताते या स्मरण करवाते रहते हैं। हम जितना अधिक परमेश्वर के बारे में सीखेंगे, बोलेंगे और याद करेंगे, उतना ही बेहतर उसकी आराधना करने पाएँगे (यशायाह 40:21; 40:28)। यदि परमेश्वर के ये गुण हमारे मन और मस्तिष्क में बने रहेंगे, हमें याद आते रहेंगे, हम जितना परमेश्वर द्वारा उसके लोगों की विभिन्न परिस्थितियों में की गई सहायता के बारे में दोहराते रहेंगे, हम उतना ही अपने लिए उसकी सहायता और देखभाल के उपलब्ध रहने के विषय आश्वस्त बने रहेंगे; उस पर हमारा भरोसा दृढ़ बना रहेगा। यह परमेश्वर में हमारे विश्वास और भरोसे को बढ़ाता रहेगा और हमें शैतान द्वारा हम पर लाई गई विभिन्न विपरीत परिस्थितियों के कारण अविश्वास के जाल में फंसने से बचाए रखेगा।

हम परमेश्वर के बारे में उसके वचन, बाइबल से जानते और सीखते हैं। इसीलिए परमेश्वर ने व्यवस्थाविवरण 6 अध्याय में इस्राएलियों से कहा कि वे उसके वचनों को अपने दरवाजों की चौखटों पर लिख कर रखें, अपनी बाँहों पर बाँध कर रखें, अपने बच्चों से उनके बारे में बातें करें और उन्हें सिखाएं, और मार्ग के किनारे की चट्टानों पर लिख कर रखें (व्यवस्थाविवरण 27:2-3); जिससे कि वे कभी भी उन्हें भूलें नहीं। हम न्यायियों की पुस्तक में देखते हैं कि इस्राएलियों के जीवनों में गिरावट और पतन इसी लिए आ गया क्योंकि उन्होंने परमेश्वर के इस निर्देश का पालन नहीं किया (न्यायियों 2:10)। पवित्र आत्मा, प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा मसीही विश्वासियों से आग्रह करता है, उन्हें बल देकर कहता है कि वे परमेश्वर के वचन का उपयोग न केवल परमेश्वर के बारे में सीखने के लिए करें, बल्कि उसकी आराधना के लिए भी करे, “मसीह के वचन को अपने हृदय में अधिकाई से बसने दो; और सिद्ध ज्ञान सहित एक दूसरे को सिखाओ, और चिताओ, और अपने अपने मन में अनुग्रह के साथ परमेश्वर के लिये भजन और स्‍तुतिगान और आत्मिक गीत गाओ” (कुलुस्सियों 3:16)।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

English Translation

Worship - To Develop & Maintain Trust in God

In the previous article we have seen how worship helps in making prayers more effective, and the Bible illustrates that God’s people offered their prayers with worship. The principle behind this is knowing and trusting God. The better one knows God, the more he trusts God, the better will be his worship as well as discernment regarding prayer matters, and God’s answer for prayers. We have seen earlier that a person’s worship is based on his intimacy with God, his knowing God’s characteristics, attributes, and God’s works, etc. There is a mutually complementary and beneficial relationship between worship and knowing God - the better we know God, the better will our worship be; and the more we worship, the more will we grow in His nearness and knowing Him. So, one fuels and improves the other; the more one practices worshipping God, the more he gets encouraged to draw nearer to God and know Him better. This same principle, also leads to another benefit of worshipping, one that we will consider today - Worship develops and maintains our trust in God.

 It is a common everyday fact of life that the more we know a person, his qualities, his abilities, his character etc., the more we know in what-all kinds of situations can he be of help, and to what extent can we trust him, what all can he do or not do, etc. The more intimate we are with a person, the more confident we are of his helping us in a situation or time of need. Also, when we know that the person has a helping nature, and has helped people in their various situations, we are confident of approaching him in our time of need and his being willing to help us as well in similar situations. These same things hold true in our relationship with God; the better we know Him, the better will we trust Him and rely on Him in various circumstances that we will face in our lives. Through worshipping God, especially in praising and exalting Him, we also continue to revise and remind ourselves, as well as the others listening to our worship, about God’s qualities, abilities, attributes, working methods etc., so they always remain fresh and readily available in our minds. The more we learn and tell about God, the better we can worship Him. (Isaiah 40:21; Isaiah 40:28). If we have these attributes of God going around in our heart and head all the time, we will also keep recalling how He has helped His people in their different situations, and will therefore keep trusting Him to do the same for us in every situation we are in. This will strengthen our faith and trust in God and enable us to escape the snare of unbelief that Satan lays out for us by bringing various kinds of situations upon us.

We get to know and learn about God through the Word of God, the Bible. That is why God had asked the Israelites in Deuteronomy 6 to write his Words on their door-posts, bind them around their arms, teach them and speak about them to their children, and to write them on huge rocks (Deuteronomy 27:2-3); so that they never forget them. The downward spiral in the life of Israelites, in the book of Judges started because they did not follow this God given instruction (Judges 2:10). The Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul exhorts the Christian Believers to remember, and use God’s Word to not only learn and teach about God, but also to worship Him, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord” (Colossians 3:16).

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
