भ्रामक शिक्षाओं के विषय-वस्तु - प्रभु यीशु, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार (1)

पिछले लेखों में हमने इफिसियों 4:14 में दी गई बातों में से, बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों और कलीसियाओं को प्रभावित करने वाले तीसरे दुष्प्रभाव, भ्रामक या गलत उपदेशों के बारे में देखना आरंभ किया था। इन गलत या भ्रामक शिक्षाओं के बारे में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा कुरिन्थुस की मंडली को लिखी दूसरी पत्री में जो लिखवाया है, हम उससे भी देखेंगे और समझेंगे। इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं के, गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन स्वरूप होते हैं, जिनके बारे में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3-4 में उल्लेख किया है परन्तु मैं डरता हूं कि जैसे सांप ने अपनी चतुराई से हव्वा को बहकाया, वैसे ही तुम्हारे मन उस सिधाई और पवित्रता से जो मसीह के साथ होनी चाहिए कहीं भ्रष्‍ट न किए जाएं। यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता। यहाँ, पद 3 में पौलुस पहले अपनी आशंका को व्यक्त कर रहा है कि जैसे हव्वा शैतान की चतुराई से बहकाई गई और पाप में गिर गई, मसीही विश्वासियों को सचेत रहना चाहिए कि कहीं वैसे ही उनके मन भी भ्रष्ट न कर दिए जाएं। शैतान की चतुराई और उसके द्वारा बहकाए जाने की पद 3 की इस बात को हम पिछले लेख में देख चुके हैं। आज से हम यहाँ पद 4 में दी गई बातों से, उन भ्रामक या गलत शिक्षाओं एवं संदेशों के तीन मुख्य स्वरूपों को देखना आरंभ करेंगे।

परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में, शैतान द्वारा लोगों को मसीही विश्वास के बारे में, तथा मसीही विश्वासियों और कलीसिया को परमेश्वर के मार्गों और वचन से बहकाने, भटकाने के लिए प्रयोग की जाने वाली तीन प्रकार की गलत शिक्षाओं की युक्तियों के बारे में सचेत किया है। ये तीन प्रकार की युक्तियाँ हैं:

* कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया;

* या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था;

* या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था

साथ ही इसी 2 कुरिन्थियों 11 अध्याय में पवित्र आत्मा ने इसके बारे में भी सचेत किया है कि यह गलत प्रचार, शैतान और उसके लोग प्रभु यीशु के झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के करते हैं, क्योंकि ऐसे लोग झूठे प्रेरित, और छल से काम करने वाले, और मसीह के प्रेरितों का रूप धरने वाले हैं। और यह कुछ अचम्भे की बात नहीं क्योंकि शैतान आप भी ज्योतिर्मय स्वर्गदूत का रूप धारण करता है। सो यदि उसके सेवक भी धर्म के सेवकों का सा रूप धरें, तो कुछ बड़ी बात नहीं परन्तु उन का अन्‍त उन के कामों के अनुसार होगा (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)। ध्यान कीजिए, पौलुस प्रेरित में होकर पवित्र आत्मा यह नहीं कह रहा कि ऐसा भविष्य में होगा, वरन इस बात के लिखे जाने के समय, उस आरंभिक कलीसिया के समय में ही जब अभी नए नियम की पत्रियां लिखी ही जा रही थीं, सभी लिखी भी नहीं गईं थीं, और न ही बाइबल की पुस्तकें संकलित होकर एक पुस्तक बनी थी, तब से ही शैतान और उसके दूतों का यह कार्य आरंभ हो चुका था। शैतान ने प्रभु के कार्य में अवरोध डालने, उसे भ्रष्ट करने, उसके लोगों को बहकाने में कोई विलंब नहीं किया। जैसा प्रभु यीशु ने मत्ती 13 अध्याय में कहे परमेश्वर के राज्य से संबंधित दृष्टांतों में से दूसरे दृष्टांत, खेत में जंगली बीजों के बोए जाने के दृष्टांत (मत्ती 13:24-30, 36-42) में कहा है, शैतान के ये लोग आरंभ से ही कलीसिया में घुसकर अपनी गलत शिक्षाएं डालते चले आ रहे हैं। 

    साथ ही 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15 हमें इस बारे में भी सचेत करता है कि शैतान के लोग प्रभु परमेश्वर के प्रेरित और प्रचारक बनकर अपनी शिक्षाओं को लोगों में फैलाएंगे। अपनी शिक्षाओं को वैध और सही जताने के लिए वे उन्हें परमेश्वर के वचन की बातों के समान तो रखेंगे, किन्तु साथ ही वचन की मूल बातों में अपनी ओर से कुछ मिलावट करेंगे, कुछ अन्य बातों को जोड़ेंगे, तथा तर्क और छल के द्वारा अपनी बात को सही दिखाने के प्रयास करेंगे। अगले लेख में हम इसके बारे में कुछ और बातों को देखने के बाद, फिर इन तीनों विषयों को एक-एक करके देखना आरम्भ करेंगे।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

The Subjects of Deceptive Teachings – Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Gospel (1)

In the previous articles we have been considering from Ephesians 4:14 the third harmful effect - deceptive teachings and satanic tricks that influence the immature Christian Believers and their Church. We will look into these deceptive teachings and satanic tricks from what God the Holy Spirit got written through the Apostle Paul in his second letter to the Church at Corinth. These deceptive teachings have three main forms, as has been written in 2 Corinthians 11:3-4, But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! Here, in verse 3, Paul is first expressing his apprehension that as Eve was beguiled and fell in sin by the trickery of Satan, similarly the Christian Believers too can be beguiled, therefore, they need to remain alert to this possibility. This we have seen in the last article. From today, we will start looking at the three main forms of the deceptive teachings and preaching from Satan.

In 2 Corinthians 11:4 the Holy Spirit has alerted the Christian Believers, the Church, about the three subjects of wrong teachings spread by Satan about the Christian Faith. They are:

* if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached,

* or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received,

* or a different gospel which you have not accepted

Along with this the Holy Spirit has also cautioned in 2 Corinthians 11 that Satan and his people trick others into accepting and believing their lies by carrying out their preaching and teaching as false apostles of the Lord Jesus, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light, For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). Do take note, that under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Paul is not saying that this will happen in the future, but right at that time when Paul wrote this letter, in that time of the initial Church when the books of the New Testament were still being written, not all of them had been written and neither had the various books of the Bible been compiled as a single Book, from that time itself, Satan and his followers had already got this deception underway. Satan did not at all delay his attempts at adulterating, corrupting, and obstructing the work of the Lord Jesus. As the Lord Jesus spoke in the second of His parables of Matthew 13, the parable of the good seed and the tares (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-42), people of Satan have infiltrated the Church from its inception, and have been spreading their false teachings from the very beginning. 

Moreover, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 also cautions us that the messengers of Satan will come as apostles and preachers of the Lord to spread their fallacious teachings. To make their wrong teachings seem correct and acceptable they will present them as similar to God's Word, but they will also add things from their own side to the original teachings and thereby corrupt God's Word, they will try to justify their fallacies through logic, deception, and smooth talk. In the next article we will see some more things about this, and then will take up each of these three topics one-by-one.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि शैतान का प्रयास रहता है कि लोगों को वास्तव में परमेश्वर के पीछे चलने से रोकने के लिए उन्हें बहका कर गलत सिद्धान्तों और झूठी शिक्षाओं में फँसा दे। शैतान उन्हें यह विश्वास करने के लिए भरमा देता है कि वे परमेश्वर के मार्ग पर चल रहे हैं, जबकि वास्तव में वे बहकाए जाकर गलत मार्ग पर डाल दिए गए हैं, और परमेश्वर से दूर चलते चले जा रहे हैं। यह इसलिए होने पाता है क्योंकि लोग परमेश्वर के वचन में दृढ़ और स्थापित होने, वचन को पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने की बजाए, लोगों से सीखने और मनुष्यों का अनुसरण करने की प्रवृत्ति रखते हैं। इसलिए यह अनिवार्य है कि विश्वासी पवित्र आत्मा की अधीनता में परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखें, और प्रत्येक सन्देश एवं शिक्षा को परमेश्वर के वचन से जाँचने-परखने, उसकी पुष्टि करने के बाद ही स्वीकार करने  की आदत बना लें, चाहे प्रचार या शिक्षा देने वाला कोई भी प्रचारक अथवा शिक्षक क्यों न हो। आज हम इसी विषय पर कुछ और बातों को देखेंगे। 

यहाँ 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3 की यह बात हम मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए ध्यान देने और समझने की बात है, क्योंकि इसमें शैतान की इस युक्ति को पहचानने और उसमें फँसने से बचने का मार्ग दिया गया है। शैतान की बातें चतुराई की बातें होती हैं, जो उसी प्रकार से मसीही विश्वासियों के मनों में भी परमेश्वर, उसके प्रेम, उसके वचन, उसकी योजनाओं, उसकी भलाई, आदि के विषय में संदेह उत्पन्न करती हैं, जैसे हव्वा में हुआ था। उसकी ये चतुराई की बातें लोगों को वचन के पालन के स्थान पर अपनी बुद्धि और समझ के अनुसार कार्य करने को उकसाती हैं, चाहे उनके ये कार्य परमेश्वर के निर्देशों की अनदेखी करने वाले, उनके अतिरिक्त, या उनके फिर विरुद्ध ही क्यों न हों, जैसा उसने हव्वा के साथ किया था। इसकी तुलना में, जो शिक्षा, जो उपदेश प्रभु यीशु मसीह के विषय खरा होगा, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की सामर्थ्य और मार्गदर्शन में दिया जाएगा, उसमें उद्धार, पापों की क्षमा, नम्रता और दीनता, समर्पण, शांति, प्रेम, आपस में गठे रहने, मसीह की पहचान और परमेश्वर के भेदो की बातें होंगी, लुभाने वाली बातें नहीं (कुलुस्सियों 2:2-4)। पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में संदेश देने वाला सच्चा मसीही शिक्षक या उपदेशक, अपने प्रचार और शिक्षाओं में कोई नई अथवा बाइबल से बाहर की बात नहीं लाएगा। वरन वह वचन में दी गई बातों में ही बने रहने और चलते रहने के लिए सिखाएगा, उन बातों से किसी हाल न हटने की, विशेषकर सांसारिक बातों, परंपराओं, तत्व-ज्ञान की बातों से बचकर चलने की शिक्षा देगा (कुलुस्सियों 2:6-8)।

जैसा यहाँ 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3 में लिखा है, अपनी धोखे और चतुराई की बातों को लोगों में फैलाने और उनके मध्य में बैठाने के लिए शैतान भ्रम और युक्तियों का प्रयोग करता है। वह अपने इस भ्रम और युक्ति का प्रचार और प्रसार करने के लिए अपने आप को और अपने लोगों को मसीह-विरोधी नहीं, वरन मसीहियों के समान बनाता और दिखाता है क्योंकि ऐसे लोग झूठे प्रेरित, और छल से काम करने वाले, और मसीह के प्रेरितों का रूप धरने वाले हैं। और यह कुछ अचम्भे की बात नहीं क्योंकि शैतान आप भी ज्योतिर्मय स्वर्गदूत का रूप धारण करता है। सो यदि उसके सेवक भी धर्म के सेवकों का सा रूप धरें, तो कुछ बड़ी बात नहीं परन्तु उन का अन्त उन के कामों के अनुसार होगा (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)। इसलिए इन झूठे उपदेशकों और शिक्षकों और उनकी शिक्षाओं को पहचान लेने के लिए सभी शिक्षकों और वचन की सेवकाई करने वालों के संदेशों को वचन के अनुसार जाँचना, परखना, तथा पिछले लेख में दी गई पहचान करने की बातों के अनुसार उनका आँकलन करना और सही पहचान करने बाद ही स्वीकार करना अनिवार्य है। अन्यथा शैतान हव्वा के समान बहका और पाप में गिरा देगा। हम अगले लेख में 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में उल्लेख किए गए गलत शिक्षाओं के तीन प्रकार के स्वरूपों पर विचार आरंभ करेंगे।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए प्रभु द्वारा यह समय और अवसर दिया गया है कि आप अपने मसीही जीवन, विश्वास, और परिपक्वता को जाँच लें, तथा आवश्यक सुधार कर लें। ध्यान करें कि जब हव्वा शैतान द्वारा बहकाई और पाप में गिराई गई, और उसके बाद आदम भी, तब पृथ्वी पर पाप नहीं था, कोई बुराई नहीं थी, आदम और हव्वा पवित्र थे और परमेश्वर से संगति रखते थे, उससे वार्तालाप करते थे। किन्तु फिर भी शैतान की चतुराई में फंस गए, उसके भ्रम की युक्ति में आ गए, पाप में गिर गए। ऐसा कोई मसीही विश्वासी नहीं है जो कह सके कि “मैं पाप नहीं करता हूँ” - जो यह कहता है, वह सत्य से अनभिज्ञ है और परमेश्वर को झूठा ठहराता है (1 यूहन्ना 1:8-10)। इसलिए अभी, समय और अवसर रहते, अपने आप को जाँच कर, ठीक करके, परमेश्वर द्वारा 1 यूहन्ना 1:9 में दिए गए आश्वासन को उससे माँग लीजिए और अपना लीजिए।

The Absolute Necessity of Evaluating & Verifying all Teachings (2)

In the previous article we have seen that Satan tries to mislead people into false teachings and wrong doctrines to prevent them from actually following the Lord. Satan deceives them into thinking they are on the ways of God, whereas actually they have been beguiled and put on a wrong path, and are moving away from God. This happens when people are not firm and established in God's Word, and instead of learning from the Holy Spirit, have the tendency to learn from and follow men. Therefore, it is imperative that every Believer study God's Word under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and practices cross-checking and confirming every message and teaching from God's Word before accepting it, no matter who the preacher or teacher is. Today we will see some more things about this. 

What is said in 2 Corinthians 11:3, is something we Christian Believers should pay heed to and understand since the way to recognize and escape this trick of Satan has also been given here. What Satan says are cunning things that are meant to create doubt in the hearts of Christian Believers about God, His love, His Word, His plans, and His goodness, just as Satan did in the heart of Eve. Through these deceptions, Satan tries to entice people into doing things and working according to their own knowledge, wisdom, and understanding, instead of obeying God and His word; even if what they decide to do ignores God's Word, is extraneous to God's Word, or may may even be against the instructions of God, as happened with Eve. In contrast to this, the preaching and teaching that is from God and given under the direction and guidance of the Holy Spirit will have salvation, the forgiveness of sins, humility, submission, peace, love, mutual fellowship and unity, things about God and the Lord Jesus, etc. and not deceptive persuasive words (Colossians 2:2-4). The true Christian preacher, preaching and teaching under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, will never bring any new or non-Biblical teachings and doctrines. Rather, he will preach and teach us to remain in and obey the things already given in God’s Word. He will also emphasize never to deviate from the teachings of God’s Word into any kind of worldly philosophy, traditions of men, and other deceitful things (Colossians 2:6-8).

As it says in 2 Corinthians 11:3, Satan uses cunningness and deception to place and plant his wrong preaching and false teachings amongst the Believers. To preach and propagate his deceit and tricks, he and his followers present themselves and behave, not as those opposed to Christ and Christians, but as the followers of Christ, For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan, transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). Therefore, to recognize these false preachers and their wrong teachings, it is essential to examine and evaluate every preacher and teacher, and their messages, minutely from the Word of God, verify them and only then accept them. Else as Satan deceived Eve into falling into sin, he will do the same with us. From the next article onwards we will start considering the three forms of wrong teachings mentioned in 2 Corinthians 11:4.

If you are a Christian Believer, then God has given you this time and opportunity to examine and evaluate your Christian life and faith, check your state of spiritual maturity and carry out whatever corrections are needed. Bear in mind that when Eve was deceived and she fell into sin, and after her, Adam too did the same, there was no evil, no sin present on earth. Adam and Eve were pure and holy, they used to regularly fellowship with God and converse with Him. Still, they got deceived by Satan and fell into sin. There is no Christian Believer who can truthfully claim “I never commit any sin” - anyone who makes this claim is unaware of the truth of God’s Word and makes God a liar (1 John 1:8-10). Therefore, now, while you have the time and opportunity, examine yourself, and in accordance with 1 John 1:9, ask for God’s forgiveness and set yourself right with God.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

सभी शिक्षाओं को परखने और जाँचने की अनिवार्यता (1)

पिछले लेख से हमने इफिसियों 4:14 में दी गई बातों में से, बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों और कलीसियाओं को प्रभावित करने वाले तीसरे दुष्प्रभाव, भ्रामक या गलत उपदेशों के बारे में देखना आरंभ किया था। हमने देखा था कि यह परमेश्वर के वचन की शिक्षा है, परमेश्वर का निर्देश है कि कोई भी शिक्षा या उपदेश बिना वचन से उसे जाँचें और परखे स्वीकार न किया जाए; चाहे उसे प्रचार करने या सिखाने वाला कोई भी क्यों न हो। उपदेशकों और उनके उपदेशों को जाँचना और परखना वचन के अनुसार है, विरुद्ध नहीं। आरंभिक कलीसिया में भी, वचन के विषय हमारी तुलना में उनके पास बहुत ही सीमित संसाधनों के होते हुए भी, बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान लोग थे जो पौलुस तक की शिक्षाओं को वचन से जाँचने के बाद ही स्वीकार करते थे, और इसके लिए परमेश्वर के वचन में उनकी सराहना की गई, उन्हें उत्तम कहा गया (प्रेरितों 17:11)। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने पौलुस द्वारा पहले ही लिखवा दिया था कि ऐसा समय भी आएगा जब लोग ही स्वयं अपने लिए सच्ची और खरी शिक्षाओं के देने वाले नहीं, वरन् भ्रामक उपदेश और शिक्षाओं को देने वाले बटोर लेंगे। वे परमेश्वर के वचन की खराई की बातों पर नहीं, अपितु इधर-उधर की बातों, मन-गढ़ंत किस्से-कहानियों से संतुष्ट और प्रसन्न रहेंगे, उन्हें ही सुनना चाहेंगे। किन्तु वचन की सेवकाई करने वालों को ऐसों को भी खरा सुसमाचार सुनाना है, चाहे उसके लिए दुख ही क्यों न उठाने पड़ें (2 तिमुथियुस 4:1-5)।

इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं के, गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन स्वरूप होते हैं, जिनके बारे में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3-4 में उल्लेख किया है परन्तु मैं डरता हूं कि जैसे सांप ने अपनी चतुराई से हव्‍वा को बहकाया, वैसे ही तुम्हारे मन उस सिधाई और पवित्रता से जो मसीह के साथ होनी चाहिए कहीं भ्रष्‍ट न किए जाएं। यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता। यहाँ, पद 3 में पौलुस पहले अपनी आशंका को व्यक्त कर रहा है कि जैसे हव्वा शैतान की चतुराई से बहकाई गई और पाप में गिर गई, वैसे ही मसीही विश्वासियों के मन भी भ्रष्ट न कर दिए जाएं। शैतान ने यह कार्य अपनी चतुराई के द्वारा किया, और इफिसियों 4:14 का पहला दुष्प्रभाव भी अपरिपक्व विश्वासियों के ठग विद्या तथा चतुराई की बातों में फँस जाने के लिए बताता है। अर्थात, जो मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर के वचन में दृढ़ और स्थापित, परमेश्वर के प्रति पूर्णतः समर्पित और उसकी आज्ञाकारी नहीं होंगे, वे शैतान की चतुराई की बातों, उसकी ठग विद्या का शिकार हो जाएंगे। 

इन पदों, 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3-4 में तीन विषय लिखे गए हैं, शैतान जिनके बारे में गलत शिक्षाएं और सिद्धान्त सिखाएं के द्वारा लोगों को बाइबल की सच्चाइयों से गलत मार्गों में भटका देना चाहता है। ये तीनों ही विषय मसीही विश्वास और जीवन के लिए आधारभूत हैं। इन विषयों की गलत समझ, निर्वाह, और पालन, व्यक्ति को वास्तविक मसीही विश्वासी होने के स्थान पर एक भ्रामक और गढ़े गए विश्वास और सिद्धान्तों में फँसा सकती है; उसे यह समझते रहने में फँसा और गिरा सकती है कि वह सही मार्ग पर है, परमेश्वर के साथ सही है, जबकि वह शैतानी मार्ग पर चलते हुए परमेश्वर से दूर है और होता जा रहा है। आने वाले दिनों में हम इन तीनों विषयों पर कुछ विस्तार से चर्चा करेंगे। अभी के लिए ध्यान कीजिए कि इन पदों तीन प्रकार की भिन्नताएं लिखी गई हैं: भिन्न यीशु; भिन्न आत्मा; भिन्न सुसमाचार। इन तीनों भिन्नताओं में पड़ना और बहकना भरमाए जाकर शैतान की युक्तियों में फँसने के कारण होता है। यह तभी सम्भव है जब व्यक्ति परमेश्वर के वचन में दृढ़ और स्थापित नहीं है; और परमेश्वर के आत्मा के नहीं वरन् मनुष्यों के सिखाए और चलाए चलने की प्रवृत्ति रखता है। 

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

The Absolute Necessity of Evaluating & Verifying all Teachings (1)

In the previous article, from Ephesians 4:14, we had begun to see regarding the false teachings and wrong doctrines that Satan brings in through his deception and tricks in the lives of immature Christian Believers, and in immature Churches. We had seen that God’s Word instructs us that no message or teaching is to be accepted without first examining and verifying it from the Word of God; no matter who has preached or taught it. Evaluating and verifying preachers and their messages is consistent with, not contrary to the Word of God. Even in the initial Church, despite having very limited resources, people like the Christian Believers of Berea, examined and verified the messages and teachings of Paul, before accepting them; and they have been commended in the Word of God for it (Acts 17:11). We had also seen that God the Holy Spirit had it written beforehand through Paul that times will come when people will gather for themselves not those who preach the honest teachings, but preachers who instead of correct teachings, will preach and teach fables and things that the people want to hear, even if they are incorrect. But the sincere ministers of God’s Word who have been entrusted with the preaching of the gospel, have to carry on undeterred, even if it means suffering while doing so (2 Timothy 4:1-5).

These deceptive and wrong teachings are mainly of three kinds, and the Spirit of God has had them mentioned in 2 Corinthians 11:3-4, But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! Here, in verse 3 Paul first expresses his doubt, as Eve was deceived by Satan’s craftiness and fell into sin, the Christian Believers should not similarly be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus and be deceived into sin. Satan played his trick very subtly, and the first harmful effect of Ephesians 4:14 also talks about the immature Christian Believers getting tricked and deceived by cunningness. Implying that Christian Believers who are not firm and established in the Word of God, are not fully surrendered and obedient to the Lord, and will fall for the deceptions and tricks of Satan. This emphasizes the necessity of first affirming every teaching and only then accepting it.

In these verses, 2 Corinthians 11:3-4, three topics have been mentioned; Satan deceptively brings in wrong teachings and false doctrines about them and misleads people into the wrong ways, instead of following the truth of God's Word. These three topics are fundamental for Christian Faith and living. Having an incorrect understanding, application, and obedience about them, will lead a person into a deceptive and contrived faith, instead of being in the true Christian Faith; while the person remains in the wrong impression of being on the correct way, being right with God, while going on the wrong way and away from God. In the days to come we will consider these three topics in some detail. But for now, take note that in these verses three "differents" are mentioned: "different Jesus," "different Spirit," "different Gospel." To fall for these three "differents" and be deceptively misled into following them will only be possible when a person is not firm and established in God's Word; i.e., has a tendency of learning from and following men, instead of learning from the Holy Spirit.

सभी शिक्षाओं को जांचें और परखें (2)

पिछले लेख में हमने आत्मिक अपरिपक्वता के तीसरे प्रभाव के बारे में देखना आरम्भ किया था; अर्थात, झूठी शिक्षाओं और गलत सिद्धान्तों के द्वारा प्रभावित होकर गलत मार्गों में भटक जाना। हमने देखा था कि यह परमेश्वर की इच्छा और उसके वचन का निर्देश है कि कलीसिया के सदस्यों को, जो कुछ भी प्रचार किया और सिखाया जाता है, पहले वचन से जाँच-परख कर उसकी पुष्टि करनी है, और यदि वचन के अनुसार सही पाया जाए तब ही उसे स्वीकार करना है, उसका पालन करना है। यदि कलीसियाओं में इस सिद्धांत का खराई से पालन किया जाए, तो गलत उपदेश और झूठे सिद्धांतों का प्रचार और प्रसार करने वालों के लिए अपनी झूठी शिक्षाओं तथा गलत सिद्धांतों के द्वारा कलीसिया के लोगों को बहकाना और भरमाना सहज नहीं होगा, वे बाइबल के प्रतिकूल शिक्षाएं और सिद्धांत सिखाएं नहीं पाएंगे। आज हम इसी विषय से सम्बन्धित कुछ और बातों को देखते हैं।  

आरंभिक कलीसिया के समय में गलत शिक्षाओं वाले ये प्रचारक, शैतान के झूठे प्रेरित और प्रचारक, अन्य कलीसियाओं और लोगों से ली गई अपनी सराहना और प्रशंसा की पत्रियां अपने साथ लिए फिरते थे, जिससे उन्हें अन्य स्थानों की कलीसियाओं में प्रवेश पाना और प्रचार करना सहज हो जाए। प्रेरित पौलुस ने इस बात के संदर्भ में, कुरिन्थुस की मण्डली के लोगों से पूछा, क्या हम फिर अपनी बड़ाई करने लगे? या हमें कितनों के समान सिफारिश की पत्रियां तुम्हारे पास लानी या तुम से लेनी हैं? (2 कुरिन्थियों 3:1)। और अपने आप को इस कुप्रथा से दूर रखते हुए, उसने इन गलत उपदेश वालों की पहचान करने का एक चिह्न भी दिया - सच्चे मसीही प्रचारक का प्रचार और उसका प्रभाव, पवित्र आत्मा की सामर्थ्य से, केवल बाहरी या शारीरिक नहीं होता है, वरन हृदय या मन में होता है, और सभी लोगों के सामने बदले हुए हृदय में दिखाई देता है (2 कुरिन्थियों 3:2-3)। पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में पौलुस ने तीमुथियुस को इस बात के लिए भी सचेत किया क्योंकि ऐसा समय आएगा, कि लोग खरा उपदेश न सह सकेंगे पर कानों की खुजली के कारण अपनी अभिलाषाओं के अनुसार अपने लिये बहुतेरे उपदेशक बटोर लेंगे। और अपने कान सत्य से फेरकर कथा-कहानियों पर लगाएंगे। पर तू सब बातों में सावधान रह, दुख उठा, सुसमाचार प्रचार का काम कर और अपनी सेवा को पूरा कर (2 तीमुथियुस 4:3-5)। अर्थात, लोग स्वयं ही अपने लिए गलत उपदेशक बटोर लेंगे और हृदय तक उतर कर काटने वाले वचन की खरी शिक्षाओं पर नहीं, परंतु कानों की खुजली मिटाने वाली इधर-उधर की बातों, मन-गढ़ंत किस्से-कहानियों पर मन लगाएंगे। परन्तु तीमुथियुस को इन बातों से सावधान रहते हुए, सुसमाचार प्रचार की अपनी सेवकाई को पूरा करना था, चाहे उसके लिए दुख ही क्यों न उठाने पड़ें।

    अगले लेख में हम इन गलत शिक्षाओं के मुख्य स्वरूपों को देखेंगे। किन्तु यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो अपने विषय यह सुनिश्चित कर लीजिए कि: 

    * क्या आप हर उपदेश को ऐसे ही ग्रहण कर लेते हैं, अथवा उसे वचन से जाँच-परख कर ही स्वीकार करते हैं? 

    * क्या आपको वचन की खरी शिक्षाएं, जो दोधारी तलवार के समान अंदर तक काटती हैं और भीतरी स्थिति की वास्तविकता को प्रकट करती हैं (इब्रानियों 4:12), पसंद हैं; या फिर आप सुनने में अच्छी लगने वाली इधर-उधर की बातों, मन-गढ़ंत किस्से-कहानियों से, जिनसे जीवन में कोई वास्तविक अथवा स्थाई परिवर्तन नहीं आता है, संतुष्ट और प्रसन्न होते हैं?

    * क्या आपके हृदय में, मन में आए परिवर्तन को लोग देखने और पहचानने पाते हैं; आपको संसार के लोगों से भिन्न, ऐसा व्यक्ति जो अपने जीवन से प्रभु यीशु को महिमा देता है समझने पाते हैं; या आपके किसी भी दावे के विपरीत, आपके जीवन में उन्हें संसार के अन्य लोगों से कोई भिन्नता दिखाई नहीं देती है?

अपने आप को जाँच-परख कर, जो भी आवश्यक सुधार हैं, उन्हें अभी समय रहते कर लीजिए, और अपने अनन्त जीवन तथा आशीषों को सुरक्षित कर लीजिए। लापरवाही या अनुचित विलंब कहीं बहुत भारी न पड़ जाए।

Examine and Verify all Teachings (2)

In the previous article we had begun considering the third effect of spiritual immaturity, i.e., being influenced and misled by wrong teachings and false doctrines. We had seen that it is God's will, and the teaching of God's Word that the members of the Church should first examine, evaluate, and confirm from God's Word each and everything that is being preached and taught to them, and to accept it only if found consistent with God's Word. If this principle is diligently observed in the churches, then the preachers and teachers of wrong messages and false doctrines will find it very difficult to come in and mislead the congregation into unBiblical teachings and doctrines. Today we will see some more things related to this topic.

In the early days, when the Christian Believers and Churches were still learning and maturing, the preachers and teachers of wrong doctrines and false messages, the satanic apostles, false preachers, and teachers used to roam around carrying with them letters of commendation and appreciation from gullible people and churches where they had preached, so that they could conveniently find entry into other churches and amongst other Believers, on the basis of those letters. Paul, in the context of this prevalent practice, asked the Corinthian Believers, Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you? (2 Corinthians 3:1). Then while distancing himself from this malpractice, he gave a way to recognize these false preachers - the preaching and teaching of a truly Christian preacher, and the effect of his preaching and teaching, through the power of the Holy Spirit, is not just external and physical; but it is internal, affecting the heart and mind, and is practically evidenced before all, by a changed heart (2 Corinthians 3:2-3). Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Paul also cautioned Timothy about this For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry (2 Timothy 4:3-5). In other words, the people will gather false preachers and teachers for themselves, those who will preach and teach not the sincere and honest teachings of God’s Word, but fables and man-made doctrines; not the truth that cuts to the heart, but things that are pleasing to the ears. But Timothy was to be watchful about these things and carry on in his ministry with the purpose of fulfilling it, even if it meant enduring hardships.

In the next article, we will look at some more things about this subject. But if you are a Christian Believer, then ascertain about yourself:

    * Do you accept and receive every message and sermon as it comes; or do you check it out from God’s Word before accepting it?

    * Do you like to hear the sincere, honest teachings of God’s Word that cut to the heart like a double-edged sword and expose the actual state of the heart (Hebrews 4:12)? Or, is it that you like to hear fables and man-made doctrines, things that are pleasing to the ears, but do not bring any lasting or true change in life?

    * Do people see and recognize the inner transformation happening within you, and see you as a person different from the people of the world, as one who glorifies the Lord Jesus with his life? Or, do they see no difference between you and any other person of the world?

Examine yourself, and correct whatever needs to be corrected, while you have the time and opportunity, and secure your eternal future and your blessings. Any carelessness, or procrastination about doing this now, can turn out to be very costly and irreversible.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

सभी शिक्षाओं को जांचें और परखें (1)

हम पिछले लेखों से इफिसियों 4:14 से अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों और अपरिपक्व कलीसिया के बारे में देखते आ रहे हैं। उनकी इस बालकों समान अपरिपक्वता का कारण उनका परमेश्वर पर पूरा भरोसा न रखना, वरन् स्वयं पर भरोसा रखते हुए, परमेश्वर के निर्देशों के अनुसार नहीं वरन अपनी बुद्धि और समझ के अनुसार निर्णय लेते और कार्य करते रहना है। उनकी यह अपने पर भरोसा रखने की प्रवृत्ति उन्हें परमेश्वर के वचन और संगति से दूर कर देती है, जिससे फिर उन्हें उनकी आत्मिक खुराक या तो कम मिलती है अथवा बाधित होने से मिलती ही नहीं है। इसलिए वे अपने आत्मिक जीवन में, अपने मसीही जीवन, गवाही, और सेवकाई में दुर्बल एवं अप्रभावी हो जाते हैं। अपनी इस अपरिपक्वता के कारण वे फिर भरमाने, भटकाने और गलत मार्गों पर डाल देने वाले शैतान के दूतों के शिकार बन जाते हैं, और मनुष्यों की ठग विद्या, भ्रम और युक्तियों, और गलत शिक्षाओं वाले उपदेशों का पालन करने, स्वीकार करने वाले हो जाते हैं, जिसका प्रमाण उनका अस्थिर और भटकता हुआ मसीही जीवन होता है। हम अपरिपक्वता के पहले दो दुष्प्रभावों, मसीही विश्वासियों के मनुष्यों की ठग विद्या तथा भ्रम और युक्तियों से प्रभावित होने के बारे में देख चुके हैं। आज तीसरे दुष्प्रभाव, गलत उपदेशों से प्रभावित होने के बारे में देखेंगे।

आज हमारे हाथों में परमेश्वर का संपूर्ण वचन है, जो सुविधा उन आरंभिक मसीही विश्वासियों के पास नहीं थी। उनके पास, या उन्हें उपलब्ध केवल पुराने नियम की पुस्तकें, और प्रभु यीशु मसीह के शिष्यों तथा प्रेरितों द्वारा दी गई मौखिक शिक्षाएं ही होती थीं, और कुछ लोगों के पास उन्हें लिखी गई पत्रियां भी थीं। किन्तु फिर भी ऐसे भी मसीही विश्वासी थे, जैसे कि बेरिया के विश्वासी, जो अपने इन सीमित संसाधनों के बावजूद उन्हें दी जाने वाली शिक्षाओं को उपलब्ध वचन से जाँच परख कर देखते थे, और तब ही उन्हें स्वीकार करते थे। उनके इस खराई में बने रहने के प्रयास के लिए परमेश्वर के वचन में उनकी प्रशंसा की गई है, उन्हें उदाहरण के समान रखा गया है (प्रेरितों 17:11)। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने पौलुस प्रेरित द्वारा लिखवाया है कि सब बातों को परखो: जो अच्छी है उसे पकड़े रहो (1 थिस्स्लुनीकियों 5:21)। किसी भी प्रचारक, उपदेशक, या शिक्षक के द्वारा दिए जाने वाले संदेश की खराई और सच्चाई को जाँचना-परखना, और तब ही उसे स्वीकार करना, परमेश्वर के वचन के विरुद्ध नहीं, उसके अनुसार है। जो कलीसिया या मसीही विश्वासी यह करते हैं, इस जाँचने की प्रवृत्ति के लिए जाने जाते हैं, वे गलत शिक्षाओं से भी बचे रहेंगे, और कोई गलत शिक्षाओं का देने वाला उनके मध्य आकर कुछ भी कहने से सावधान रहेगा। यह न केवल प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी का व्यक्तिगत दायित्व है, वरन प्रत्येक कलीसिया में वचन की सेवकाई के लिए भी परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा यह जांचने का निर्देश बाइबल में लिखवाया गया है भविष्यद्वक्ताओं में से दो या तीन बोलें, और शेष लोग उन के वचन को परखें (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29)। किन्तु आज वचन के इस निर्देश के विपरीत, हर प्रकार के शिक्षक या उपदेशक को सहज ही ग्रहण कर लेना और उसके प्रचार संदेश की सराहना अथवा प्रशंसा करना एक आम बात हो गई है। उसके प्रचार का विश्लेषण करने और जाँचने वाले लोग और कलीसियाएं कम ही मिलती हैं। इसीलिए भ्रामक और गलत उपदेशों की भरमार हो गई है, और शैतान का काम आसान हो गया है।

    यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Examine and Verify all Teachings (1)

In the previous articles we have been considering from Ephesians 4:14, about the immature Christian Believers, and the immature Church. Their child-like immaturity is because of their not fully trusting God; rather, trusting themselves and doing things, not under God’s guidance and obedience, but according to their own wisdom and understanding. Their tendency to trust themselves distances them from God’s Word and fellowship, which either restricts or deprives them of spiritual nourishment, or obstructs it. This then makes them weak and ineffective in their spiritual lives, Christian witness, and the Lord’s work. Because of their immaturity, they become prone to falling prey to deceptions and trickeries, cunning and craftiness, false doctrines and wrong teachings, brought to them by satanic agents to beguile and mislead them; their having fallen prey is evidenced by their being carried away by the winds of false doctrines and wrong teachings that come their way. We have already considered two harmful effects of spiritual immaturity - being carried away by deceptions and trickeries, and being prone to the cunningness and craftiness of the devil. Today we will look into the third harmful effect, being adversely affected by deceptive teachings.

Today, we have the privilege of having the complete Word of God in our hands; a privilege not available to the initial Christian Believers. They had only the books of the Old Testament, and the verbal teachings given to them by the Apostles and the disciples of the Lord Jesus, and some of them also had letters written to them for their benefit. These limitations did not deter or hinder some Christian Believers, like those in Berea, who despite their these very limited resources, still made it a point to examine and verify the teachings given to them from whatever resources were available to them, and accept them only if what was taught to them was in accordance with the Word of God available to them. Because of their effort to remain established in the truth of God’s Word, they have been commended, and have been mentioned as an example to be emulated in the Bible (Acts 17:11). God the Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, also had it written that Test all things; hold fast what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21). It is not against, rather it is in accordance with the teachings of God’s Word to first examine and verify the truth of any message or sermon given by any preacher, evangelist, and teacher, whoever he may be; and accept the message or sermon only if it is found to be in line with God’s Word. Those Believers and Churches that practice this; those who are known for doing this, will remain safe from wrong teachings, and every preacher of wrong teachings will be wary of coming amongst them and preaching anything outside of God’s Word. Doing this necessarily, is not only the responsibility of every Christian Believer, but the Holy Spirit has had it written down as an instruction for the members of the Church to do this for every preaching and teaching given in the Church, Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge (1 Corinthians 14:29). But today, contrary to this instruction, it has become a common practice to accept every preacher and teacher, and then praise and appreciate everything that he says. It is a rare Church or a Christian Believer who actually practices this instruction to examine and verify the messages and sermons given to them. Because of this, Christendom and the world are filled with all sorts of wrong doctrines, false teachings, and unBiblical messages given in the name of the Lord, and Satan’s work of deceiving people has become so much more convenient for him.

We will see some more things about this in the next article.
