पवित्र आत्मा के वरदान – 3

 

पिछले लेख में हमने 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:7-11 में दिए गए आत्मिक वरदानों को देखना आरंभ किया था। यहाँ दिए गए 9 विभिन्न वरदानों: “बुद्धि का बातें”; “ज्ञान की बातें”; “विश्वास”; “चंगा करने का वरदान”; “सामर्थ्य के काम करने की शक्ति”; “भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति”; “आत्माओं की परख”; “अनेक प्रकार की भाषा”; “भाषाओं का अर्थ बताना” में से हमने पहले पाँच के बारे में देखा था। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि पवित्र आत्मा के सभी वरदान किसी के निज प्रयोग अथवा लाभ के लिए नहीं हैं, वरन, सभी के लिए और मसीही विश्वासियों की मण्डली की उन्नति और लाभ के लिए हैं। जिसे भी उसकी सेवकाई के लिए जो भी वरदान परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रदान किया है, उसे वह वरदान पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, सभी मसीही विश्वासियों के लाभ के लिए प्रयोग करना है, अपने लिए नहीं। आज हम शेष चार में से दो वरदानों के बारे में कुछ विवरण देखेंगे:

• “भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति”: मूल यूनानी भाषा के जिस शब्द का अनुवाद “भविष्यवाणी” किया गया है, उसका शब्दार्थ न केवल भविष्य की बातें बताना होता है; वरन प्रेरणा पाकर औरों के सामने, या औरों की उपस्थिति में बोलना या बताना भी होता है। 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:3 में इसी शब्द को, केवल भविष्य की बातें ही नहीं, वरन “”... मनुष्यों से उन्नति, और उपदेश, और शान्ति की बातें” कहने के लिए भी प्रयोग किया गया है; अर्थात् “भविष्यवाणी” करने का तात्पर्य औरों की उन्नति में सहायता करना, उन्हें उपदेश देना, और शान्ति या सांत्वना प्रदान करना भी हो सकता है। इसी प्रकार से लूका 22:64 में, जब पकड़वाए जाने के बाद सैनिकों द्वारा प्रभु का उपहास किया जा रहा था, तब इसी शब्द का उपयोग वर्तमान में जारी घटना में “बूझने” या “पता लगाकर बताने” के लिए भी हुआ है, “और उस की आंखें ढांपकर उस से पूछा, कि भविष्यद्वाणी कर के बता कि तुझे किसने मारा”। इसी प्रकार से इस शब्द को बाइबल में विभिन्न स्थानों में उसके भिन्न अर्थों के साथ उपयोग किया गया है। पवित्र आत्मा न केवल कुछ लोगों को भविष्य की बातें बताने की सामर्थ्य देता है (प्रेरितों 21:9-11), वरन कुछ लोगों को परमेश्वर की बातें औरों के सामने या औरों की उपस्थिति में बोलने की भी सामर्थ्य देता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:4,5; 13:9; 14:3-5, 24, 31, 39; प्रकाशितवाक्य 11:3), और इन सभी स्थानों पर, यही शब्द उपयोग किया गया है। इसलिए “भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति” केवल भविष्य में होने वाली घटनाओं को बताने का वरदान नहीं है, वरन परमेश्वर का प्रतिनिधि बनकर परमेश्वर के वचन को औरों के सामने बोलने और प्रचार करने का वरदान भी है। 

• “आत्माओं की परख”: पहली कलीसिया की स्थापना, और प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा सुसमाचार प्रचार के आरंभ होने के साथ ही शैतान की ओर से झूठे प्रचारकों ने भी अपना काम करना आरंभ कर दिया (1 यूहन्ना 2:18; 4:1)। प्रभु यीशु के नाम से प्रचार को कमाई का साधन बना कर प्रयोग करने वाले (रोमियों 16:18; फिलिप्पियों 3:18, 19), और गलत शिक्षाओं के देने वाले (2 कुरिन्थियों 4:2; 2 पतरस 2:1; 2 यूहन्ना 1:7) भी मण्डलियों और लोगों में फैलने लगे, और इन बातों तथा अपने ऐसे ही अन्य कार्यों के द्वारा लोगों को बहकाने लगे, गलत शिक्षाओं और अनुचित बातों में पथ-भ्रष्ट करने लगे थे। उस समय में, जब आज के समान लिखित वचन लोगों के हाथ में नहीं था, अधिकांशतः मसीही जीवन की शिक्षाएं, सुसमाचार प्रचार, और प्रभु की बातों का प्रसार, मौखिक प्रचार और संबोधनों के द्वारा होता था। ऐसे में, इन शैतान के लोगों के झूठ और गलत शिक्षाओं को तुरंत ही परखने, पहचानने, और प्रकट करने के लिए, वचन को जानने, जाँचने, और सच को उजागर करने की शक्ति पवित्र आत्मा लोगों को देता था, जिससे वे झूठ को प्रकट कर के लोगों को गलत शिक्षाओं से बचा सकें (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29)। यह कार्य आज भी पवित्र आत्मा की सामर्थ्य से कुछ लोग विभिन्न तरीकों से करते रहते हैं, अन्यथा गलत शिक्षाओं की भरमार में मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए सत्य की पहचान करना बहुत कठिन हो जाएगा। 

 

हम 2 कुरिन्थियों 12:7-11 में उल्लेखित वरदानों में से शेष दो, जो “अन्य-भाषा” से सम्बन्धित हैं – अन्य-भाषा बोलना और अन्य-भाषा का अर्थ बताना को अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके और प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit – 3

 

From the previous article we had started to see about the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11. Of the 9 different gifts, “word of wisdom,” “word of knowledge,” “faith,” “healing,” “miracles,” “prophecy,” “discerning of spirits,” “different kinds of tongues,” and “interpretation of tongues” mentioned in these 5 verses, we had seen about the first 5. We had also seen that none of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for any person’s personal use or benefit; rather, all the gifts are meant for the help and benefit of everyone in the Church. Whichever gift anyone has received for their God assigned work and ministry, he has to use that gift under the guidance of God the Holy Spirit, for the benefit of the Christian Believers, not for himself alone. Today we will see about two from the remaining four gifts:

• “Prophecy”: The word used in the original Greek language, that has been has translated as “prophecy” means “to speak forth” - not only in time, i.e., tell about future events or things; but also to be inspired to speak before, or in the presence of others, or tell others. The same word has been used in 1 Corinthians 14:3 “But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men” to convey that to prophecy also means to edify, exhort, and comfort others; and not only to tell about future things. Similarly, in Luke 22:64, when the soldiers were mocking the Lord Jesus caught for crucifixion, the same word has been used "Prophesy! Who is the one who struck You?" with the meaning of telling about an ongoing event. At other places too, in the Bible, this word has been used in its various meanings. The Holy Spirit not only gives the power to tell about the future events to some people (Acts 21:9-11), but also gives the power and ability to speak the things of God before, i.e., while in presence of others (1 Corinthians 11:4,5; 13:9; 14:3-5, 24, 31, 39; Revelation 11:3), and for all these, the same word has been used. So, the gift of “prophecy” is not just the gift of foretelling events, but also the gift of speaking and preaching God’s Word as the spokesman of God, before others.

• “Discerning of spirits”: Along with the establishing of the first Church, and the beginning of the preaching of the gospel by the Lord’s disciples at various places, false preachers and teachers from Satan too started their work (1 John 2:18; 4:1). Those who preach wrong doctrines and false teachings started to grow and spread (2 Corinthians 4:2; 2 Peter 2:1; 2 John 1:7), and people started to use the name of the Lord Jesus and preaching in His name as a means of earning money (Romans 16:18; Philippians 3:18, 19), and through all these and other similar things started to mislead and beguile people into wrong ways. At that time, when, unlike today, the people did not have the written Word in their hands, and usually all preaching about Christian Living, preaching the Gospel, and spreading the teachings of the Lord was done through oral preaching and addressing people. In such a situation, the Holy Spirit gave the ability to some people to immediately recognize the lies and false teachings of Satan and expose them to others. The Holy Spirit also gave the power and ability to know, examine, and teach God’s Word and to expose the false teachings, so that they could expose the lies and save others from wrong teachings and false doctrines (1 Corinthians 14:29). This work is done even today by some people under the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit; else in the rampant spread of the wrong doctrines and false teachings amongst Christian Believers today, it would become very difficult to discern the truth.

 

In the next article we will consider the remaining two gifts mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, related to “tongues” – speaking in tongues and interpreting tongues.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Voluntarily repent of your sins and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrender yourself to Him - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

अपने जाँचने और परखने के निमंत्रण में अनुपम एवं विशिष्ट

 

       हम मसीही समाज के लोग बाइबल को ‘परमेश्वर का वचन’ कहकर संबोधित करते हैं; प्रत्येक धर्म की अपनी पुस्तकें हैं, और हर धर्म के मानने वाले भी अपने धर्म-ग्रंथों के लिए यही कहते हैं, कि उनके वे ग्रंथ भी ईश्वरीय हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त, संसार भर में साहित्य, दर्शन-शास्त्र, धर्म तथा धार्मिक व्याख्यानों, नैतिक शिक्षाओं, आदि से संबंधित कई पुस्तकें हैं जो बहुत विख्यात हैं, और उन्हें अपने प्रकार की अनुपम रचनाएँ कहा जाता है, यहाँ तक कि नैतिकता और धार्मिकता के लिए मानक के समान प्रयोग किया जाता है। तो फिर बाइबल में ऐसा क्या है जिसके आधार पर मसीही विश्वास में उसे ‘परमेश्वर का वचन’ कहा जाता है; उसे अन्य किसी भी पुस्तक अथवा ग्रंथ से भिन्न माना जाता है, और जिसके आधार पर कहा जाता है कि केवल यही एक पुस्तक वह पुस्तक है जो वास्तव में परमेश्वर का वचन है। बाइबल में ऐसा अनुपम और विशिष्ट क्या है, जो और किसी पुस्तक अथवा धर्म-ग्रंथ में नहीं  है?

आज के इस लेख से आरम्भ कर के हम बाइबल की कुछ बातों को देखेंगे जो इसे अन्य किसी भी पुस्तक से भिन्न, अनुपम, एवं विशिष्ट बनाती हैं, और इस दावे के पुष्टि करती हैं कि यही वास्तव में जीवते, सच्चे परमेश्वर का वचन है। 

 

1. इसे जाँचने के दावे में अनुपम

यद्यपि हर धर्म के ग्रंथ के लिए उसके परमेश्वर का वचन होने का दावा किया जाता है, किन्तु बाइबल ही एकमात्र है जो अपने दावों और बातों के लिए उसे जाँचने और परखने का निमंत्रण देती है। अन्य किसी भी धर्म में यदि उसके धर्म ग्रंथ को जाँचने, परखने, आलोचनात्मक विश्लेषण तथा तुलना करने आदि का प्रयास किया जाए तो उस धार्मिक समुदाय के लोग इसे उनके धर्म और धर्म ग्रंथ का अपमान मानते हैं, और कटु एवं तीव्र प्रतिक्रिया देने में संकोच नहीं करते हैं। संसार के इतिहास में ऐसे कितने ही उदाहरण विद्यमान हैं जब धर्म या धर्म-ग्रंथ से संबंधित बातों पर प्रश्न उठाने या उनका विश्लेषण करके उनकी मान्यताओं पर प्रश्न उठाने के कारण दंगे तथा जान-माल की हानि हुई है।

       किन्तु बाइबल ही एकमात्र ऐसा धर्म-ग्रंथ है जो सभी को आमंत्रित करता है कि उसे जाँचें और परखें। इस संदर्भ में बाइबल के कुछ पद देखिए:

• 1 थिस्स्लुनीकियों 5:21 – "सब बातों को परखो: जो अच्छी है उसे पकड़े रहो।" यह बाइबल की शिक्षा और आज्ञा है कि पहले हर बात, हर शिक्षा, हर धारणा को जाँचा-परखा जाए, और खरा उतारने पर ही उसे स्वीकार किया जाए। बाइबल अंध विश्वास करने को न तो स्वीकार करती है, और न ही बढ़ावा देती है। 
• प्रेरितों 17:11 – "ये लोग तो थिस्सलुनीके के यहूदियों से भले थे और उन्होंने बड़ी लालसा से वचन ग्रहण किया, और प्रति दिन पवित्र शास्त्रों में ढूंढ़ते रहे कि ये बातें यों ही हैं, कि नहीं।" यह पद बेरिया नामक एक स्थान पर मसीही विश्वासियों की एक मँडली में पौलुस द्वारा परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रचार किये जाने के विषय में है। पौलुस नए नियम का बहुत प्रमुख और आदरणीय पात्र है; उसी के द्वारा नए नियम की लगभग दो-तिहाई पुस्तकें लिखी गई हैं। जब पौलुस ने बेरिया के मसीही विश्वासियों के मध्य प्रभु यीशु मसीह के विषय प्रचार किया, तो, जैसा पद में लिखा है, उन लोगों ने तुरंत ही उन बातों पर इसलिए विश्वास नहीं कर लिया कि पौलुस जैसा सुविख्यात परमेश्वर के जन ने उन्हें वे बातें बताईं और सिखाईं थीं। वरन, उन्होंने प्रतिदिन पहले जा कर पौलुस की शिक्षाओं को उनके पास उपलब्ध पुराने नियम की पुस्तकों और शिक्षाओं के साथ मिलाकर जाँचा, और जब पौलुस की शिक्षाओं को सत्य पाया, तब ही उनपर विश्वास किया। किन्तु साथ ही उनके द्वारा यह जाँच-परख करने के लिए उनकी कोई आलोचना नहीं की गई, वरन उन्हें अन्य यहूदियों से जिन्होंने मसीह पर विश्वास किया था, इस बात के लिए, 'भला' कहा गया। 
• 1 कुरिन्थियों 4:29 - “भविष्यद्वक्ताओं में से दो या तीन बोलें, और शेष लोग उन के वचन को परखें।” आज यदि किसी धर्म-प्रचारक के प्रचार या शिक्षाओं की वास्तविकता और मान्यता के प्रति कोई सन्देह करता है, और इसलिए वह यदि कोई सवाल-जवाब कर ले या कोई स्पष्टीकरण माँग ले, तो बहुत समस्या खड़ी हो जाती है। क्योंकि इसे उस प्रचारक का अपमान समझा जाता है, और प्रश्न करने वालों अथवा स्पष्टीकरण माँगने वालों की निन्दा तथा ताड़ना की जाती है। परन्तु वास्तविकता तो यह है कि यह बाइबल की आज्ञा है कि यह जाँचना-परखना और स्पष्टीकरण प्राप्त करना नियमित किया जाना चाहिये; उस सन्देश को सुनने वाले “शेष लोगों,” अर्थात् एकत्रित अगुवों और मण्डली के सभी लोगों को यह करना चाहिये। 
• भजन 34:8 – "परखकर देखो कि यहोवा कैसा भला है! क्या ही धन्य है वह पुरुष जो उसकी शरण लेता है।" बाइबल ही एकमात्र ऐसी पुस्तक है जो ना केवल अपने आप को जाँचने का निमंत्रण देती है, वरन उस परमेश्वर 'यहोवा' को भी, जिसका बाइबल वचन है, परख कर देखने के लिए आमंत्रित करती है। यह बाइबल की खुली शिक्षा है कि कोई भी आकर बाइबल के परमेश्वर के भले होने को जाँच-परख कर देख ले; इसमें बुरा मानने या एतराज़ करने की कोई बात नहीं है। प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने अपने आलोचकों को खुली चुनौती दी, "परन्तु मैं जो सच बोलता हूं, इसीलिये तुम मेरी प्रतीति नहीं करते। तुम में से कौन मुझे पापी ठहराता है? और यदि मैं सच बोलता हूं, तो तुम मेरी प्रतीति क्यों नहीं करते? जो परमेश्वर से होता है, वह परमेश्वर की बातें सुनता है; और तुम इसलिये नहीं सुनते कि परमेश्वर की ओर से नहीं हो” (यूहन्ना 8:45-47); और कोई उसकी चुनौती का सामना नहीं कर सका, कोई उसके विरुद्ध कुछ भी प्रमाणित नहीं कर सका, न तब, और न ही तब से लेकर आज तक भी। 

       इस प्रकार से हम देखते हैं कि बाइबल कभी भी किसी भी बात पर अन्ध-विश्वास की समर्थक नहीं है; बल्कि उसकी आज्ञा है कि पहले जाँचा-परखा और सत्यापित किया जाये, और उसके बाद ही विश्वास किया जाये - न केवल उसे जो बाइबल में लिखा है, परन्तु बाइबल के परमेश्वर के बारे में भी। संसार भर के सभी धर्मों, मान्यताओं, विश्वासों में, केवल बाइबल ही है जो साफ, खुला, दो-टूक कहती है कि आओ और जाँचो, और संतुष्ट होने पर ही विश्वास करो। बाइबल और मसीही विश्वास का यह उल्लेखनीय और अनोखा गुण इसलिये है, क्योंकि उसके अनुयायी पूर्णतः निश्चित हैं कि वे बिलकुल ठोस, अटल, और पूर्णतः स्थिर आधार पर हैं; जिसने समय की हर परीक्षा का सफलता  से सामना किया है, जिसके विरुद्ध, उसे झूठा प्रमाणित उसका इन्कार करने, उसे नष्ट कर देने के अनगिनत प्रयास हुए, परन्तु सभी असफल रहे। उसे नष्ट कर देने का प्रयास करने वाले स्वयं नष्ट हो गए किन्तु बाइबल और मसीही विश्वास न केवल बने रहे, बल्कि बढ़ते और फैलते चले गये। 

       यह केवल बाइबल अध्ययन के कौलेजों (सेमीनरी) में ही पाया जाता है कि इस प्रकार का बाइबल विश्लेषण एवं जाँचना परखना, पाठ्यक्रम का एक महत्वपूर्ण और अभिन्न अंग है, और छात्रों को बाइबल की बातों को परखने और जाँचने की विधियों की शिक्षा दी जाती है। साथ ही, यह केवल बाइबल अध्ययन के कौलेजों (सेमीनरी) में ही पाया जाता है कि बाइबल का अध्ययन करने वालों के लिए अन्य धर्मों की मान्यताओं की शिक्षा भी प्रदान की जाती है, और छात्रों को प्रत्येक धर्म के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी दी जाती है, कौलेज (सेमीनरी) की लाइब्रेरी में सभी धर्मों से संबंधित पुस्तकें भी रखी जाती हैं, जिससे छात्र स्वयं पढ़ सकें और जान सकें कि तुलना में बाइबल और अन्य धर्म तथा उनके धर्म-ग्रंथ परस्पर कहाँ खड़े हैं।

    जाँचने, परखने, स्पष्टीकरण देने का यह व्यवहार बाइबल और मसीही विश्वास में अनूठा एवं अनुपम है, क्योंकि न बाइबल और न ही मसीही विश्वास किसी को किसी छल अथवा कपट के द्वारा प्रभावित करने में विश्वास रखता है, वरन उसकी हर बात खुली, स्पष्ट, और अवलोकन के लिए उपलब्ध है।

Unique and Special in Asking to be Examined

 

We Christians refer to the Bible as the 'Word of God'; Every religion has its own books, and the believers of every religion also say this for their scriptures, that their scriptures are also divine. In addition, there are many books around the world relating to literature, philosophy, religion and religious discourses, moral teachings, etc. all very well known and appreciated. They are all called unique, and may even be used as standards to refer to morality and righteousness. What, then, is so different and unique in the Bible, that in Christianity it is called the 'Word of God'? On what basis is it considered different from any other religious book or text? On what basis is it said to be the only book that actually is the Word of God? What is so unique and special in the Bible, which is not seen in any other book or scripture?

From today's article, we will begin looking at some of the things in the Bible that make it different, unique, and special than any other book, and corroborates the claim that it really is the Word of the living, true God.

 

1. Unparalleled in its claim to be put to test 

Although every religious text is claimed to be the word of the god of that religion, the Bible is the only one that actually invites people to examine and test it for its claims and writings. In any other religion, if an attempt is made to examine, test, critically analyze and compare its scripture, then the people of that religious community consider it an insult to their religion and scripture, and do not hesitate to react bitterly and retaliate severely. There are many such examples in the history of the world when there have been riots with loss of life and property due to the questioning or analyzing and stating things related to a religion, or their scriptures, or because of questioning their beliefs.

But the Bible is the only scripture that invites all to examine and evaluate it. See some Bible verses in this context:

• 1 Thessalonians 5:21 - "Test all things; hold fast what is good." It is the teaching and commandment of the Bible that everything, every teaching, every concept should first be tested and evaluated, and only when it has been confirmed, it should be accepted. The Bible neither accepts, nor encourages, blind faith.
• Acts 17:11 - "These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so." This verse is about Paul preaching the Word of God to a congregation of Christians at a place called Berea. Paul is a very prominent and respected figure in the New Testament; About two-thirds of the books of the New Testament are written by him. When Paul preached about the Lord Jesus Christ among Christians in Berea, they did not immediately believe what he preached because a man of God as famous as Paul had preached and taught to them, as the verse says. Rather, they first went every day to check Paul's teachings with the Old Testament books and teachings available to them, and only when they found Paul's teachings to be true, they believed them. But at the same time, they were never criticized or questioned for doing this examination and testing; on the contrary this was appreciated and they were called 'better' than the other Jews who had believed in Christ.
• 1 Corinthians 14:29 - "Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge." Today, if someone has any doubts about the veracity and applicability of a religious preacher's preachings and teachings, and therefore, raises some questions and asks for explanations or answers for them, then this causes a lot of problems. Since, it is seen as insulting the preacher; and those who have raised the questions or asked for clarifications are condemned and chastised. But actually speaking, the Bible commands that this evaluation and clarification must be done routinely by the "others," i.e. the assembled elders and the whole congregation listening to that message.
• Psalm 34:8 - "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!" The Bible is the only book that invites not only its own examination, but also to examine the God 'Jehovah', whose Word the Bible is. It is the open teaching of the Bible that anyone can come and taste the goodness of the God of the Bible; there is nothing to feel bad about or object to, for doing so. The Lord Jesus Christ openly challenged his critics, "But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God" (John 8:45-47); and no one came forward to face his challenge; none could prove anything against Him, and nobody has been able to, since then, to date. 

So, we see that the Bible never advocates a blind faith; rather it commands examination, evaluation, confirmation, and only then to believe - not only in what is written in it, but even in the God it speaks about. Of all the religions, faiths, beliefs in the whole world, it is only the Bible that says clearly, openly, and forthrightly, come and check, and believe only when you are satisfied. This unique, outstanding feature of the Bible and the Christian Faith is because of its followers being absolutely sure that they stand on solid, irrefutable, unshakeable ground that has stood the test of time and innumerable but always vain attempts to deny, disprove, and destroy it. Those who tried to destroy it, themselves were destroyed, but the Bible and the Christian Faith not just stayed firm, rather continued to grow and expand.

Similarly, it is found only in Bible Seminaries, the institutions of Bible education, that this type of Bible analysis and testing is an important and integral part of the curriculum; and students are taught methods of critically examining and evaluating everything the Bible says. Also, it is only found in Bible study colleges (Seminaries) that teaching the beliefs of other religions is also offered to those who study the Bible, and students are given detailed information about each religion. The library of these colleges also houses books on all religions, so that students can read for themselves and know where the Bible and other religions and their scriptures stand in comparison.

This practice of examining, evaluating, and clarifications is exclusive and unique in the Bible and Christianity, because neither the Bible nor Christianity believes in influencing anyone by any deceit or hiding any truth, but everything is open, clear, and available for perusal.

Therefore, if you have any doubts about the Bible, the God of the Bible, the Christian Faith, then feel free to examine and evaluate, and have your doubts clarified, and then voluntarily choose to believe in the Bible and its contents. If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

परमेश्वर की सच्ची आराधना करने पर ज़ारी हमारे इस बाइबल अध्ययन में हमने 2 इतिहास 29 अध्याय से देखा है कि उस प्रकार के आराधक में परिवर्तित होने के लिए, जिन्हें परमेश्वर ढूँढ़ रहा है, अर्थात, वे जो आत्मा और सच्चाई से उसकी आराधना करते हैं (यूहन्ना 4:23-24), मसीही विश्वासी को चार क़दमों से होकर जाना पड़ता है। पहले तीन कदम तैयारी से सम्बन्धित हैं, और चौथा कदम आराधना करने का है। इस चौथे कदम के भी चार चरण हैं, जिनमें से दूसरे कदम को हमने पिछले लेख से देखना आरम्भ किया था। हमने देखा था कि आराधना परमेश्वर द्वारा स्थापित विधियों और दिये गए निर्देशों के अनुसार ही होनी है, किसी व्यक्ति के मन-गढ़न्त तरीकों अथवा अन्यजातियों अविश्वासियों की रीतियों के अनुसार नहीं। पिछले लेख में हमने परमेश्वर के निर्देशों की अनदेखी करके, अपनी ही इच्छा के अनुसार उसे चढ़ाई गई आराधना के गंभीर दुष्परिणामों को देखा था, जो परमेश्वर के भक्त और समर्पित लोगों को भी, परमेश्वर के वचन की अवहेलना करने के कारण भुगतने पड़े थे। आज हम इसी बात को थोड़ा और देखेंगे और समझेंगे। 

परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य आराधना करने का मूल सिद्धांत, दस आज्ञाओं के दिए जाने के बाद, निर्गमन 20:23-26 में दिया गया है। यहाँ पर पद 25 और 26 पर विशेष ध्यान दीजिए। परमेश्वर विशेष रीति से कहता है कि उसकी आराधना के लिए जो भी वेदी बनाई जाए वह या तो मिट्टी की हो अन्यथा स्वाभाविक पत्थरों की हो, अन्य किसी प्रकार की नहीं। यदि पत्थरों का प्रयोग किया जाए, तो कोई भी मनुष्य उन्हें तराशने के लिए उन पर अपना कोई औज़ार प्रयोग न करे। क्योंकि उन्हें उस स्वरूप से जिसमें परमेश्वर ने उन्हें बनाया है, उससे और अधिक सुन्दर बनाने के प्रयासों में, वे उन्हें परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में अशुद्ध, और परमेश्वर को अस्वीकार्य कर देंगे; फिर उस वेदी पर जो भी अर्पित किया जाएगा वह भी अशुद्ध और परमेश्वर को अस्वीकार्य होगा।

एक वास्तव में नया-जन्म पाया हुए मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर की आराधना करने के लिए अपने आप को तैयार करना होता है। जिस प्रकार से 2 इतिहास 29 में लेवी मंदिर में अपने संगीत वाद्यों के साथ आराधना आरंभ करने के लिए तैयार खड़े थे, उसी प्रकार से विश्वासी को भी उसके अन्दर जो कुछ है, उस सब के साथ परमेश्वर के वचन में दी गई उस की निर्धारित विधि के अनुसार आराधना करने के लिए तैयार होना चाहिए। इसका अर्थ है कि उसे परमेश्वर के वचन से भली-भांति अवगत होना चाहिए, और मनुष्य के नहीं परमेश्वर के वचन का आज्ञाकारी होना चाहिए। उसे समझना चाहिए कि सच्ची आराधना क्या है, और बाइबल के बाहर की बातों, तथा मनुष्यों द्वारा बनाई गई रीतियों और कार्य-विधियों से बिलकुल अलग रहना चाहिए, वे चाहे कितनी भी आकर्षक लगें, या कोई व्यक्ति उनके बारे में चाहे जो भी कहे। पालन करने का मूल सिद्धांत है, “यदि बात परमेश्वर के वचन में से नहीं है, तो फिर वह शैतान की ओर से है”, इसलिए कभी भी बाइबल से बाहर की किसी भी बात को करने के लिए कोई समझौता नहीं करें। परमेश्वर की आराधना, उपासना, और उससे संगति रखने के लिए जो बाइबल नहीं कहती है, वैसी किसी बात का पालन नहीं करें। पौलुस और अपुल्लोस के उदाहरण का अनुसरण करें, जैसा पौलुस ने 1कुरिन्थियों 4:6 में कहा कि वे अपनी सेवकाई में परमेश्वर के वचन के बाहर कभी नहीं बढ़े।  

जो मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य आराधना अर्पित करना चाहता है, उसे यह परख कर देखना चाहिए कि क्या वह परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित रीति से, उसके द्वारा उसके नबियों में होकर दिए गए उसके वचन के अनुसार आराधना कर रहा है कि नहीं, जैसा कि 2 इतिहास 29:25 में लिखा है। इसके अतिरिक्त जो भी हो, वह परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य नहीं है, और योग्य रीति से परमेश्वर की आराधना करना नहीं है। आज परमेश्वर के नाम में, किन्तु मनुष्यों के बनाए हुए तरीकों और रीतियों के अनुसार, जो बहुत आकर्षक और सुन्दर था श्रद्धापूर्ण प्रतीत होते हैं, बहुत से स्थानों पर परमेश्वर की आराधना की जाती है; किन्तु यह वह नहीं है जो परमेश्वर ने कहा है, बल्कि वह है जो मनुष्यों ने निर्धारित किया है। साथ ही, यह भी बहुत सामान्य रीति से देखने में आता है कि लोग आराधना के नाम पर चिल्लाते हैं, शोर मचाते हैं, मुँह से विचित्र ध्वनियाँ निकालते हैं जिन्हें न तो वे स्वयं समझते है, और न ही कोई अन्य, उछलते हैं, विचित्र व्यवहार करते हैं, इधर-उधर हिलते-डुलते रहते हैं, एक अव्यवस्था और गड़बड़ी का माहौल बना देते हैं, न कि वैसे व्यवस्थित और क्रम के अनुसार आराधना करने का जैसा वचन कहता है कि आराधना की जाए (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:31-33), और फिर बाइबल के विपरीत अपने इस समस्त मनगढ़ंत व्यवहार को पवित्र आत्मा का प्रकटीकरण कहकर, उसके नाम पर थोप देते हैं; जब कि बाइबल में ऐसी कोई भी बात कहीं पर भी नहीं लिखी गई है। तो फिर इसमें अचरज की क्या बात है कि ऐसे लोग अपनी इस ‘आराधना’ के द्वारा कुछ समय के लिए शारीरिक रोमांच का तो अनुभव कर लेते हैं, किन्तु वे बाइबल से बाहर की शिक्षाओं और रीतियों में ही बढ़ते हैं, मनुष्यों की आज्ञाकारिता में ही उन्नति करते हैं, किन्तु अपने आत्मिक जीवनों में, परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता में चलने में, कभी कोई उन्नति नहीं करते हैं। 

अगले लेख में हम आराधना के आरंभ होने के बारे में देखेंगे। परन्तु एक बार फिर, जैसा हम पिछले लेखों में देखते आ रहे हैं, परमेश्वर को सच्ची और उसे स्वीकार्य आराधना चढ़ाना केवल परमेश्वर के लोगों का सौभाग्य है। आराधना से सम्बन्धित हमारी सारी चर्चा, और उपरोक्त सभी उदाहरण, परमेश्वर के लोगों से सम्बन्धित हैं, अविश्वासियों या अन्यजातियों से नहीं। तात्पर्य यह कि परमेश्वर की सच्ची आराधना करने के लिये, व्यक्ति को पहले परमेश्वर का जन बनना पड़ेगा। जो, यूहन्ना 1:12-13 के अनुसार आज प्रभु यीशु पर विश्वास लाने के द्वारा होता है। जब व्यक्ति सवेछा से अपने पापों को मान लेता है, उनके लिये प्रभु यीशु से क्षमा माँगकर, समझते-बूझते हुए अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित कर देता है, और प्रभु यीशु का आज्ञाकारी शिष्य बनकर जीवन जीने के लिये प्रतिबद्ध हो जाता है, वह परमेश्वर की सन्तान और उसके परिवार का भाग भी हो जाता है, परमेश्वर की देखरेख में आ जाता है।

Being Transformed To Worship (8)

In our ongoing Bible study about truly worshipping God, we have seen through 2 Chronicles chapter 29 we have seen that to be transformed into the kind of worshipper that God is looking for, i.e., one who worships God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24), the Christian Believer has to go through four steps. The first three steps are about the preparation for worship, and the fourth step is about offering worship. This fourth step also has four stages, and from the last article we started looking at the second of these four stages. We had seen that worship has to be offered according to the ways and instructions given by God, not according to anyone’s self-devised methods, nor according to ways and methods adopted from the Gentiles and unbelievers. In the previous article we had seen the very serious and deleterious effects of contrived worship offered to Him, in neglect of God’s instructions, for which even the godly and committed people of God had to suffer because of ignoring God’s Word. Today, we will see and understand some more about this.

The basic principle of worshipping God in a manner acceptable to Him is given in Exodus, after the giving of the Ten Commandments, in Exodus 20:23-26. Here, take particular note of verses 25 and 26. God specifically says that to worship Him, either an altar of earth, or of natural stones has to be used, nothing else. If stones are used, no man is to use any of his tools on them to hew or carve them, with the intention of beautifying them. For trying to beautify them from the form God has given them, in God’s eyes it is profaning them, therefore, rendering them unacceptable to God; and anything offered on such an altar also becomes profane and unacceptable to God.

The truly Born-Again Christian Believer, has to prepare himself, to worship the Lord God. As the Levites stood ready in the Temple to start worshipping with their musical instruments in 2 Chronicles 29, similarly the Believer has to be ready with everything within him to worship God in the manner God has given in His Word. This implies that he should be well versed in God’s word, should be obedient to God’s Word not man’s, understand what true worship actually is, and absolutely avoid unBiblical, man-made rituals and practices, no matter how appealing they may seem or what anyone says about them. The basic dictum to keep in mind is, “If it is not from God’s Word, then it is from Satan”, therefore, never to compromise into doing anything that the Bible does not say has to be done to worship God, to fellowship with Him. Emulate the example of Paul and Apollos, as Paul says about their ministry in 1 Corinthians 4:6, that they never thought beyond what is written in the Scriptures.

The Christian Believer desiring to worship God in a manner acceptable to Him, has to discern and ensure that he worships God in the manner that God has ordained in His Word through His prophets, as it says in 2 Chronicles 29:25. Anything other than that is unacceptable to God, and is not worthily worshipping God. Today, many man-made rituals and procedures are carried out in the name of God for His worship. They may seem very gaudy and attractive, or even reverential, but they actually are not what God has said, but what man has decreed. Also, very commonly people shout, make odd noises, utter strange sounds from their mouths which neither they nor anyone understand, jump, move around doing strange actions, create a chaos and commotion, instead of the orderly and sequential manner in which worship is to be done (1 Corinthians 14:31-33), and all of this unBiblical behavior is then foisted upon the Holy Spirit, calling it as His manifestation; whereas there is nothing written anywhere in the Bible to support any of this in any manner. Is it any surprise then, that these ‘worshippers’, though they have a short-timed physical exhilaration, though they may grow in unBiblical teachings and practices, in obedience to men, but they never grow in their spiritual lives, in their obedience to God. 

In the next article we will see about the actual worshipping beginning. But once again, as we have been seeing in the previous articles, take note that offering true and acceptable worship to God is only the privilege of God’s people. What we have seen about worship so far, and the examples given above, all are in context of the people of God, not of unbelievers or Gentiles or pagans. The implication is that to truly worship God, a person must first become a person of God. This, as we see from John 1:12-13, happens by coming to faith in the Lord Jesus. When a person voluntarily accepts his sins, asks the Lord Jesus to forgive them, knowingly surrenders his life to the Lord, and decides to live his life as an obedient disciple of Lord Jesus, committed to Him, he becomes a child of God, a part of His family, and comes under the care of God.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

       पिछले लेख में हमने निर्गमन 12:13 के आधार पर देखा था कि परमेश्वर ने इस्राएलियों को यह स्पष्ट कह दिया था कि केवल उस घर के लोग ही सुरक्षित बचे रहेंगे जिस घर पर फसह के लिए बलिदान मेमने का लहू लगा होगा; और परमेश्वर स्वयं इस बात को देखेगा और जाँचेगा कि वास्तव में वह बलिदान के मेमने का लहू ही है, या कुछ और है। इसी प्रकार से परमेश्वर के न्याय के समय केवल वे ही बचेंगे, जो वास्तव में नया जन्म और उद्धार पाए हुए प्रभु यीशु के सच्चे समर्पित विश्वासी हैं; न कि वे जो रीतियों, परम्पराओं, और अपने समुदाय या डिनॉमिनेशन के अगुवों की कुछ बातों का पालन करने, के आधा पर स्वयं को "मसीही विश्वासी" समझते हैं। उस समय केवल प्रभु का अपना आँकलन ही प्रयोग  किया जाएगा, अन्य कोई बात नहीं (प्रेरितों 17:30-31)। आज हम इन बातों के अपने जीवनों में व्यावहारिक प्रयोग के बारे में कुछ देखते हैं।

        बाइबल में दिए गए इन प्रमुख उदाहरणों के बावजूद, शैतान ने लोगों को इतना बहका और अंधा कर दिया है कि वे अभी भी अपने आप को धर्मी तथा परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य इसलिए समझते हैं क्योंकि उन्होंने अपने कुछ धार्मिक अनुष्ठान पूरे कर लिए हैं। और उनके धार्मिक अगुवे भी उन्हें यही विनाशकारी, बाइबल के विपरीत सिद्धान्त पढ़ाते और उनसे पालन करवाते हैं; न तो वे अगुवे सत्य को जानते और समझते हैं, और न ही औरों को जानने और समझने देते हैं। यहाँ पर निर्गमन 12:13 में परमेश्वर कहता है वह स्वयं लहू को देखेगा; इसके विषय वह किसी की कही बात को स्वीकार नहीं करेगा। यदि वह लगे हुए लहू को देखकर संतुष्ट होगा, तब ही वह उस घर से आगे बढ़ जाएगा, अन्यथा जब वह मिस्र - जो कि शैतानी शक्तियों और परमेश्वर के लोगों को बंधुवाई में रखने वालों का प्रतीक है, का न्याय करेगा, तब साथ ही वह उस अनुचित लहू वाले घर का भी वैसा ही न्याय करेगा, मृत्यु उस घर पर भी वैसे ही आएगी जैसे मिस्रियों पर। परमेश्वर द्वारा संसार का न्याय करने का समय निकट है। प्रत्येक “घर”, अर्थात, परमेश्वर का निवास-स्थान समझा जाने वाला स्थान, जो वास्तव में परमेश्वर के मेमने के लहू की अधीनता में नहीं आया है, वह भी परमेश्वर के न्याय के नीचे आएगा, और मृत्यु को भोगेगा।

        प्रभु की मेज़, प्रभु यीशु के बलिदान और मृत्यु के स्मरण करने के द्वारा, व्यक्ति को अवसर प्रदान करती है कि वह अपने जीवन को जांच-परख ले, और जो भी त्रुटियाँ या कमियां हों उन्हें प्रभु की उपस्थिति में मान कर सही कर ले। विशेषकर यदि कोई वास्तव में नया जन्म पाया हुआ नहीं है, उन्हें परमेश्वर अभी समय और अवसर दे रहा है कि वे अपने व्यर्थ, निष्फल रीतियों, परंपराओं, और कार्यों, जिन्होंने न तो कभी किसी का उद्धार किया है और न ही कभी करेंगे (प्रेरितों 15:10-11; 1 पतरस 1:18-19), में ढिठाई के साथ बने रहने की बजाए, अभी नया जन्म पा लें (इब्रानियों  3:7-19)।

        ये सभी बातें स्पष्ट दिखाती हैं कि प्रभु भोज में भाग लेना उनके लिए नहीं है जो इसे एक धार्मिक रीति या औपचारिकता के समान लेते हैं, किन्तु उनके लिए है जिन्होंने स्वेच्छा से प्रभु के योग्य जीवन बिताने उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में चलने का निर्णय लिया है, और इसके लिए कीमत चुकाने के लिए भी तैयार है। अगले लेख में हम निर्गमन 12 में से यहीं से आगे देखेंगे। यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, और प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेते रहे हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं कि नहीं? क्या आप ने अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है कि नहीं? तथा क्या आप प्रभु में एक नई सृष्टि बन गए हैं कि नहीं? क्या आप कलीसिया में विभाजनों और गुटों में बांटने में नहीं किन्तु एकता के साथ रहने में प्रयासरत रहते हैं कि नहीं? तथा क्या आप प्रभु की मेज़ में उसी प्रकार से भाग ले रहे हैं जैसे परमेश्वर ने निर्देश दिये हैं, प्रभु के प्रति पूर्ण समर्पण और प्रतिबद्धता के साथ, बड़ी गंभीरता से मेज़ के महत्व पर मनन करते हुए; या फिर आप किसी डिनॉमिनेशन की परंपरा अथवा किसी के  मनमाने विचारों के अनुसार भाग ले रहे हैं? अपने आप को जांच कर देखें कि क्या आप प्रभु के सामने खड़े होकर अपने जीवन का हिसाब देने के लिए तैयार हैं कि नहीं? आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा निरंतर परिपक्वता में बढ़ते जाएं। साथ ही सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।

        यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

English Translation

Exodus 12:13 (7) - The Lord’s Table - An Opportunity to Be Safe (2)

        In the previous article, we had seen from Exodus 12:13 that God had very clearly told the Israelites that only those will be safe and be saved who are in a house marked with the blood of the sacrificial lamb of the Passover; and God Himself will check and ascertain whether it actually is the blood of the sacrificial lamb, or something else. Similarly, at the time of God's judgement, only those will be saved who actually are the Born-Again saved, truly surrendered and committed people of the Lord; and not those who consider themselves to be "christian believers" because of fulfilling some rituals and traditions and following the teachings given by the elders of their sect or denominations. At that time, the Lord will judge only according to His own criteria, nothing else (Acts 17:30-31). Today we will see something about the practical application of these things in our lives.

        Despite these prominent examples in the Bible, Satan has so beguiled and blinded the people, that they are still caught up in vainly considering themselves to be righteous and acceptable to God because of their fulfilling the requirements of their religion. And their religious leaders only teach and affirm this unBiblical, eternally destructive dogma to them; neither do they themselves know and understand the truth, nor do they let others learn and obey the truth from the Word of God. God says here in Exodus 12:13, that He will see the blood; He will not take anyone’s word for it. Only if He is satisfied with the blood applied to the house, will He pass over it, else when He judges Egypt - the symbol of satanic forces bringing God’s people under bondage, every “house” which does not have the blood He wants to see, will also be judged and come under the same death penalty as the Egyptians. God’s time of judging the world and people of the world is at hand. Every “house”, i.e., every presumed dwelling place of God, that has not actually come under the saving blood of the Lamb of God, too will come under God’s judgment, will suffer death.

        The Lord’s Table, through the remembrance of the sacrifice and death of the Lord Jesus, provides an opportunity to judge, or, evaluate one’s life, and in the presence of the Lord to rectify all the short-comings that have to be corrected. Especially, if one is not yet Born-Again, to do so now, when God is giving time and opportunity, instead of obstinately persisting in vain, inconsequential religious rituals, practices, and traditions, which never have (Acts 15:10-11; 1 Peter 1:18-19), and never will save anyone (Hebrews 3:7-19).

        All these things show that participating in the Holy Communion is not for those who take it as a religious ritual or formality to be carried out perfunctorily, but is for those who willingly have chosen to live worthy of the Lord, in obedience to His Word, and are willing to pay the price for doing so. In the next article we will carry on from here and see more from these verses of Exodus 12. If you are a Christian Believer, and have been participating in the Lord’s Table, then please examine your life and make sure that you are actually redeemed from your sins, have submitted and surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus to live in obedience to Him and His Word, are a new creation for the Lord. That you strive for unity, not divisions and factionalism in the Church, and have been participating as the Lord has instructed to be done, participating with full allegiance to the Lord, in all seriousness, and pondering over its significance; instead of doing it in any presumptive manner, or simply as a denominational ritual; and are ready and prepared to stand before the Lord and answer for your life. It is also necessary for you to be spiritually mature, learn the right teachings of God’s Word. You should also always, like the Berean Believers first check and test all teachings you receive from the Word of God, and only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.

        If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
