पिछले लेखों से हमने पवित्र आत्मा की निन्दा के पाप के बारे में देखना आरम्भ किया है। हमने देखा है कि परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में गलत शिक्षाएँ फैलाने वालों की एक और प्रमुख शिक्षा, जिसे वे अपने बचाव के लिए प्रयोग करते हैं, है “पवित्र आत्मा की निन्दा कभी क्षमा न होने वाला पाप है।” यह समझने के लिए कि यह “निरादर” या “निन्दा” वास्तव में है क्या, और यह क्यों केवल परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ही के विरुद्ध ही क्षमा नहीं हो सकता है, हमने पिछले लेख से परमेश्वर के वचन में से कुछ तथ्यों एवं शिक्षाओं को देखना आरंभ किया है, और त्रिएक परमेश्वर के तीनों स्वरूपों, पिता, पुत्र और पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में अपने इस विषय के संदर्भ से देखा है। आज हम देखेंगे कि लूसिफर का पाप क्यों क्षमा नहीं हो सकता था; और यह भी समझेंगे कि वचन के अनुसार प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा कही गई बात के संदर्भ में जिसका दुरुपयोग ये लोग करते हैं, निन्दा (blasphemy) शब्द का वास्तव में क्या अर्थ और अभिप्राय होता है। 

लूसिफर का पाप क्यों कभी क्षमा नहीं हो सकता, और हमारे लिए उसके क्या अभिप्राय हैं?

हम जानते हैं कि अदन की वाटिका में किया गया पहला पाप परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता करना था; और 1 यूहन्ना 3:4 भी पाप की परिभाषा के लिए यही कहता है - परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था का विरोध, या परमेश्वर के नियमों का विरोध। वास्तव में अनाज्ञाकारिता करना परमेश्वर को नीचा कर देना है। हम जब भी परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता करते हैं, तब हम परमेश्वर के कहे हुए के महत्व और स्तर की अनदेखी करके, स्वयँ कि इच्छा अथवा उस बात की व्याख्या को परमेश्वर की कही हुई बात के ऊपर रख देते हैं, और उसे पूरा करने का प्रयास करते हैं जो हमें सही प्रतीत होता है, न कि वह करने का जिसे परमेश्वर ने सही ठहराया है। संक्षेप में हम परमेश्वर के ऊपर हावी हो जाते हैं, स्वयँ को परमेश्वर से ऊँचा बना लेते हैं। लूसिफर ने भी स्वर्ग में यही करने का प्रयास किया था - स्वयँ को परमेश्वर से ऊँचा ठहराने का प्रयास। 

परमेश्वर की पवित्रता, वैभव, और महानता के विरुद्ध मनुष्यों द्वारा किए गए निरादर के पाप को यदि हमारे लिए क्षमा योग्य बना दिया जाता, तो फिर परमेश्वर के उच्च तथा निष्पक्ष न्याय की मांग होगी कि प्रधान स्वर्गदूत, लूसिफर द्वारा परमेश्वर की पवित्रता, वैभव, और महानता के विरुद्ध किए गए निरादर के पाप को भी क्षमा मिलनी चाहिए – और यह परमेश्वर की पवित्रता, वैभव, महानता, और पूर्ण सार्वभौमिकता का उपहास हो जाएगा। लूसिफर का पाप न केवल अत्यंत जघन्य था, वरन् क्योंकि उसके पतन के समय, किसी ने भी किसी के पाप की कोई कीमत नहीं चुकाई थी, जैसे कि मसीह यीशु ने हमारे लिए चुका दी है, इसलिए पाप के लिए कोई प्रायश्चित का समाधान उपलब्ध भी नहीं था; इसका निवारण दंड के द्वारा ही संभव था, और यही उसके तथा उसके अनुयायियों के साथ किया भी गया।

साथ ही, हम वचन से यह भी देखते हैं कि न तो लूसिफर ने और न ही उसके दूतों ने कभी अपने पापों के लिए कोई पश्चाताप किया, उनके लिए सच्चे मन से क्षमा माँगी। वे तो आरंभ से ही परमेश्वर के कार्यों में बाधा और बिगाड़ उत्पन्न करते आ रहे हैं, परमेश्वर के वचन और शिक्षाओं को भ्रष्ट करके उनका दुरुपयोग ही करते चले आ रहे हैं। ऐसी परिस्थिति में, मात्र क्षमा की प्रार्थना कर लेने की औपचारिकता को स्वीकार किए जाने का अर्थ होता स्वर्गीय स्थानों में अनियंत्रित अव्यवस्था एवं अराजकता को निमंत्रण देना। क्योंकि तब, कोई भी सृजा गया प्राणी अपनी इच्छानुसार कुछ भी कर लेता और, बस औपचारिक क्षमा माँग कर उसके परिणामों से बच निकालता –  और यह कदापि स्वीकार नहीं की जा सकने वाली स्थिति हो जाती।

इसलिए पृथ्वी पर भी पापों की क्षमा के लिए सच्चे और वास्तविक पश्चाताप और समर्पण को ही आधार बनाया गया है (2 कुरिन्थियों 7:10), अर्थात परमेश्वर के प्रति सच्ची भक्ति और श्रद्धा के आधार पर किया गया पश्चाताप न कि बस ऊपरी रीति से मुँह से बोल देना और औपचारिकता को पूरा कर देना। पश्चाताप के बाद ही पाप-क्षमा है (मरकुस 1:15; प्रेरितों 2:38); एक प्रथा के अनुसार या औपचारिकता में पापों की क्षमा माँग लेना न पर्याप्त है और न स्वीकार्य। इसलिए यह अनिवार्य था कि लूसिफर से उसके द्वारा किए गए परमेश्वर के निरादर के पाप का हिसाब लिया जाए और उसे पाप का उचित एवं उपयुक्त दण्ड भोगने का उदाहरण बना कर प्रस्तुत किया जाए। लूसिफर को उचित दण्ड दिया ही जाना था; ऐसा दण्ड जो उसके पाप के घोर और जघन्य होने के अनुपात में कम से कम उतना ही घोर और जघन्य तो हो। यदि परमेश्वर के निरादर का पाप एक के लिए क्षमा होने योग्य नहीं है, तो फिर परमेश्वर के निष्पक्ष न्याय के अनुसार, यह औरों के लिए भी क्षमा नहीं किया जा सकता है। हम पिछले लेख में देख चुके हैं कि इसे परमेश्वर पिता और प्रभु यीशु के विषय क्यों लागू नहीं किया जा सकता है; इसीलिए, पवित्र आत्मा के विरूद्ध निरादर या निन्दा के पाप को भी कभी क्षमा नहीं किया जा सकता है।

अगले लेख में हम देखेंगे कि प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा कही गई “परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की निन्दा” क्या है।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित इन गलत शिक्षाओं में न पड़ जाएं; न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाले ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर भी ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें। यदि आप इन गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ चुके हैं, तो अभी वचन के अध्ययन और बात को जाँच-परख कर, सही शिक्षा को, उसी के पालन को अपना लें।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Understanding The Sin of Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit (Part-3)

We have recently started to consider the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. We have seen that the people who spread wrong teachings about God the Holy Spirit, to cover up their concocted beliefs made up through misuse and misinterpretation of Biblical facts, and to prevent people from analyzing their claims and raising questions, they use fear as a tactic. If anyone tries to examine their false notions, they discourage him from doing so by telling them that they are committing the unpardonable sin of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, and should back-off, stop doing this, simply accept what has been said, else they will face very serious consequences from God. From the last article we had started looking into the veracity of these claims made by them, and had considered in context of the Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, the Triune God, why blasphemy could be considered as unpardonable only against the Holy Spirit, and not against God the Father and the Lord Jesus. Today we will see why Lucifer’s sin was unforgivable, and will also understand from God’s Word what does the word “blasphemy” mean in context of the Lord Jesus making the statement that these people misuse.

Why was Lucifer’s sin unpardonable, and what are its implications for us today?

We know that the first sin in the Garden of Eden was disobeying God - transgressing the law of God; and that is how 1 John 3:4 defines sin - lawlessness, or, transgressing God's law. In effect disobedience is belittling God. When we disobey God's law, we disregard the importance and status of what God has said, and place our own desire or interpretation over and above what God has said, and try to fulfill what seems right to us, rather than doing what God has said is the right thing to do. In short, it is overriding God, and elevating ourselves above God. This is what Lucifer had done in heaven, tried to place himself over and above God.

If the sin of dishonoring God by men, in the face of His holiness, majesty, and sovereignty had been considered “forgivable” by God, then His high standards of equitable justice would also demand that the archangel Lucifer be also considered for being forgiven his sin of dishonoring God’s holiness, majesty, and sovereignty - and this would have made a mockery of God’s holiness, majesty, and sovereignty. Not only was Lucifer’s sin heinous, but since at the time of his committing the sin, no one had paid the price of anyone’s sin, as the Lord Jesus has paid for us, therefore, there was no atonement and remedy available for sin at that time; the only remedy that could be implemented was that sin be punished, and that is what was done for him and his followers.

Moreover, from the Word of God, we also see that there is no record or mention that either Lucifer, or any of the angels that fell with him, ever repented and asked for God’s forgiveness for what they had done. They have been obstructing and spoiling God’s works since the beginning, have been corrupting and misusing God’s instructions continually. In such a situation, even if they had perfunctorily said “sorry” and such an apology had been accepted, then it would have meant inviting anarchy and chaos in the heavenly realms. Since then, any creature could have done anything they felt like doing and then could have escaped its consequences by perfunctorily saying “sorry” - and this would have given rise to a totally unacceptable situation in heaven.

It is for this reason that even on earth, the basis of forgiveness of sins is only a heartfelt sincere, actual repentance and submission to the Lord (2 Corinthians 7:10), i.e., a repentance that comes from a sorrow based on godliness and godly reverence; not just an outwardly mumbling to fulfill a formality. The forgiveness of sins comes only after repentance (Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38); asking forgiveness of sins as a mere formality or a ritual is neither sufficient nor acceptable. Therefore, it was imperative that an account be taken of God’s dishonor committed by Lucifer, and he be made an example of receiving appropriate and just punishment for sin. Lucifer had to receive a just punishment; a punishment which would be proportional to the severity of his heinous sin. If dishonoring God cannot be considered forgivable for one, then by the standards of God’s justice, it cannot be considered forgivable for anyone else either. We have already seen in the preceding article why this principle cannot be applied to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, but only to God the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the sin of dishonoring, or, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit can never be forgiven.

In the next article, we will consider what constitutes this “blasphemy of the Holy Spirit” spoken of by the Lord Jesus.

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

    पिछले लेख से हमने परमेश्वर के वचन के आधार पर यह समझना आरम्भ किया है कि कभी क्षमा न होने वाला पाप, वास्तव में है क्या। इस बात को हम कुछ प्रश्नों के उत्तर के रूप में समझेंगे। पवित्र आत्मा यह समझने के लिए कि यह “निरादर” या “निन्दा” वास्तव में है क्या, और यह क्यों परमेश्वर पिता तथा प्रभु यीशु के विरुद्ध नहीं, केवल परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ही के विरुद्ध ही क्षमा नहीं हो सकता है, हमें परमेश्वर के वचन में से कुछ तथ्यों एवं शिक्षाओं को देखना होगा।

    इसे केवल परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के विरुद्ध पाप ही क्यों कहा गया है?

    परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल हमारे प्रभु परमेश्वर को त्रिएक परमेश्वर दिखाती है, परमेश्वर पिता, परमेश्वर पुत्र – प्रभु यीशु मसीह, और परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की पवित्र त्रिएकता। ये तीनों हर प्रकार से और हर बात में पूर्णतः एक और समान हैं, इन तीनों में कोई भी, किसी भी प्रकार की भिन्नता नहीं है – पवित्र त्रिएक परमेश्वर – एक परमेश्वर तीन पवित्र व्यक्तित्वों में। तो जबकि तीनों हर रीति से समान और बराबर हैं, तो फिर ऐसा क्यों है कि केवल “पवित्र आत्मा के निरादर” के लिए ही इतने कठोर परिणाम दिए गए हैं; जबकि ऐसे ही दुष्परिणामों का न तो कोई संकेत और न ही कोई दावा परमेश्वर पिता, या परमेश्वर पुत्र – प्रभु यीशु के विरुद्ध किए गए निरादर के लिए कहा गया है; जबकि तीनों ही परमेश्वर के समान स्वरूप हैं?

    इसे समझने के लिए त्रिएक परमेश्वर के तीन व्यक्तित्वों के संबंध में कुछ बारीकियों को देखना होगा। परमेश्वर पुत्र – प्रभु यीशु मसीह, जब पृथ्वी पर हमारे उद्धारकर्ता बन कर आए, तो वे अपनी स्वर्गीय महिमा, वैभव, स्वरूप, और स्थान को छोड़कर आए थे। बाइबल बताती है कि मानव स्वरूप में उन्होंने अपने आप को स्वर्गीय महिमा से शून्य कर लिया और वे स्वर्गदूतों से थोड़ा कम किए गए थे (फिलिप्पियों 2:5-8; इब्रानियों 2:9)। इस मानवीय स्वरूप में, वे संसार के पाप उठाने और संसार के छुटकारे के लिए बलिदान होने के लिए आए थे। इसके लिए उनका, तुच्छ समझा जाना, उनके विरुद्ध बोला जाना, उनका दुःख और ताड़ना सहना, और संसार के लोगों से तिरस्कृत एवं निरादर होना, पूर्व-निर्धारित था (यशायाह 53)। उन्हें भी वही सब अनुभव करना और सहना था जिसमें होकर संसार के लोग निकलते हैं; उन्हें किसी भी अन्य मनुष्य के समान जीवन जीना था (इब्रानियों 4:15; 5:7-8), इन सब बातों में भी निष्पाप बने रहना था, और अंततः क्रूस की श्रापित मृत्यु सहन करनी थी। उनके इस मानवीय स्वरूप और अस्तित्व के सन्दर्भ में, मृत्यु सहने के लिए स्वर्गदूतों से कुछ कम किए जाने से, पृथ्वी पर उनका यह शारीरिक या मानवीय स्वरूप उनके त्रिएक परमेश्वरीय स्वरूप से कुछ “कम” था। इसलिए उनके मानवीय स्वरूप की निंदा या निरादर का दोष, जिसे उन्हें सहना ही था, त्रिएक परमेश्वर के शह दोनों, परमेश्वर पिता तथा परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के निरादर से कुछ कम और भिन्न होता। क्योंकि हमारे प्रभु को हमारे उद्धार का मार्ग प्रदान करने की अपनी सेवकाई के दौरान अपमान और तिरस्कार सहना निर्धारित किया गया था, इसलिए उनके (अर्थात उनके शारीरिक/मानव स्वरूप के) विरुद्ध कही गई, या कही जाने वाली निंदनीय बातों को क्षमा न हो सकने वाला पाप कहना उनके पृथ्वी पर आने के उद्देश्य को ही विफल कर देता, और संसार को छुटकारे के स्थान पर नाश में भेज देता। इसलिए परमेश्वर पुत्र की निंदा को क्षमा न हो सकने वाला पाप नहीं कहा जा सकता था।

    परमेश्वर पिता के संदर्भ में, ध्यान करें कि शब्द “परमेश्वर” और “पिता” सभी संस्कृतियों और धर्मों में सामान्यतः प्रयोग किए जाने वाले शब्द हैं, जिन्हें नास्तिक और धर्म को न मानने वाले भी प्रयोग करते रहते हैं; बहुधा सौगंध खाने और अपशब्दों के साथ भी, जैसे कि, “अरे मेरे परमेश्वर/या ख़ुदा” “परमेश्वर नाश करे,” “परमेश्वर के श्रापित,” “परमेश्वर की सौगंध” आदि। संसार के किसी भी व्यक्ति द्वारा इन अपमानजनक या निंदनीय शब्दों का प्रयोग करने का यह अर्थ नहीं है कि वह इन्हें मसीही विश्वास के पवित्र त्रिएक परमेश्वरत्व में से पिता परमेश्वर के लिए ही प्रयोग कर रहा है। इसी प्रकार से शब्द “पिता” भी संसार भर में अनेकों अभिप्रायों के साथ प्रयोग किया जाता है, और इसे भी बहुधा अपशब्दों और सौगंध लेने में भी प्रयोग किया जाता है। इसलिए शब्द “पिता” तथा शब्द “परमेश्वर” का, जिन्हें किसी भी मत अथवा धर्म में किसी भी आदरणीय अथवा आराध्य के लिए प्रयोग किया जा सकता है - और यह भी बाइबल के विरुद्ध है, किसी भी प्रकार से दुरुपयोग करना, यदि उसे यहोवा परमेश्वर के निरादर की परिभाषा से पृथक नहीं रखा जाता, तो स्वतः ही शब्दों का इस प्रकार से प्रयोग करने वाला व्यक्ति, तुरंत ही सदा काल के लिए दोषी ठहराया जाता, और उसके पास फिर कभी उद्धार पाने का कोई अवसर नहीं रहता। इसलिए ये दोनों शब्द “पिता” एवं “परमेश्वर” के दुरुपयोग को भी कभी क्षमा न हो सकने वाले पापों में सम्मिलित नहीं किए जा सकता था।

    अब पवित्र त्रिएक परमेश्वरत्व में केवल परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ही शेष रहा। यहां पर एक बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण ध्यान देने योग्य बात यह है कि परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा का विचार केवल मसीही और यहूदी धर्म की विचारधारा में ही पाया जाता है; संसार के अन्य किसी भी धर्म या विश्वास में यह विद्यमान नहीं है। क्योंकि पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में पुराने नियम के समय में भी लोगों को भली-भांति पता था (उदाहरण के लिए, उत्पत्ति 1:2; भजन 104:30; 139:7 आदि) और फरीसी, सदूकी, और शास्त्री उसी पुराने नियम को पढ़ा करते थे, तथा लोगों को सिखाते भी थे, इसलिए वे फरीसी, सदूकी, और शास्त्री किसी भी प्रकार से परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के विषय अनभिज्ञ होने का दावा नहीं कर सकते थे, और न ही पवित्र आत्मा के त्रिएक परमेश्वर का अभिन्न एवं समतुल्य भाग होने से अपने आप को अनजान होने को कह सकते थे।

    इसलिए, परमेश्वर पिता तथा परमेश्वर पुत्र के विषय में उपरोक्त बातों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, मूलतः, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के विरुद्ध कही गई निरादर की कोई बात ही वास्तविकता में एकमात्र सच्चे परमेश्वर की निंदा मानी जा सकती है।

    पवित्र परमेश्वर के विरुद्ध बात करना वही पाप है जिसके कारण प्रधान-स्वर्गदूत लूसिफर गिराया गया (यशायाह 14:12-14; यहेजकेल 28:12-15), और शैतान बन गया – सदा काल के लिए परमेश्वर और उससे संबंधित किसी भी बात का विरोधी। लूसिफर ने परमेश्वर की महिमा और महानता के विरुद्ध बलवा किया और बातें कीं। लूसिफर ने परमेश्वर को उसके समस्त महिमा, वैभव, महानता, अधिकार और सामर्थ्य में भली-भाँति जानने के बावजूद; परमेश्वर के विषय सारी जानकारी रखते हुए भी जानबूझकर किया गया उसका यह विद्रोह लूसिफर के लिए क्षमा न होने वाला पाप बन गया, और उसे स्वर्ग से निष्कासित कर दिया गया। वह शैतान बन गया, तथा उसे और उसके अनुयायियों को अनन्तकाल तक दण्ड भोगने के लिए ठहरा दिया गया (मत्ती 25:41, 46)।

    अगले लेख में हम देखेंगे कि लूसिफर का पाप क्यों क्षमा नहीं हो सकता था; और यह भी समझेंगे कि वचन के अनुसार निन्दा (blasphemy) शब्द का वास्तव में क्या अर्थ और अभिप्राय होता है।

    यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित इन गलत शिक्षाओं में न पड़ जाएं; न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाले ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर भी ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें। यदि आप इन गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ चुके हैं, तो अभी वचन के अध्ययन और बात को जाँच-परख कर, सही शिक्षा को, उसी के पालन को अपना लें।

    यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Understanding The Sin of Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit (2)

     Since the previous article we have begun to understand on the basis of God's Word, what the unforgivable sin is. We will understand this as answers to some questions. Let us start understanding what this “blasphemy” actually is, and why it has been said to be “unforgivable” only against God the Holy Spirit, and not against God the Father, or the Lord Jesus, from some pertinent facts and teachings of the Word of God.

    Why has it been called “unforgivable” only against God the Holy Spirit?

    God’s Word the Bible shows that the Lord our God is a Triune God, a Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son - the Lord Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are one in everything and in every manner, none of them is different or lesser from another in any way - Holy Triune God - One God as three divine personalities. Therefore, if all three of them are equal and similar in all respects and for everything, then why is it that only the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit has such serious consequences; while no such admonition has ever been stated or even indicated against God the Father and God the Son - the Lord Jesus?

    To understand this, we will have to look into and understand the finer points about the mutual relationship of these three personalities of the Triune God. When God the Son - the Lord Jesus, came to this earth as our saviour, He left His glory, majesty, divine form, and position in heaven. The Bible tells us that in His human form He emptied Himself of His divine form and was made slightly lower than the angels (Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 2:9). He had come down in this human form, to take upon Himself the sins of the whole world and sacrifice Himself for deliverance from them. To accomplish this, it was fore-ordained that He will be despised and rejected, will be spoken against and ridiculed, will have to suffer pain and persecution, and will be dishonored and humiliated by the people of the world (Isaiah 53). Lord Jesus had to live a life like any other person of the earth, had to live, suffer and experience like humans (Hebrews 4:15; 5:7-8) remain sinless through it all, and finally endure the cursed death on the cross. In context of His human form and existence, in His being made a little lower than the angels to suffer death, in His physical form on earth He was somewhat “lesser” than His divine form as one of the Triune God. Therefore, His being insulted, despised, rejected, and humiliated, blasphemed against in His human form, all of which was fore-ordained for Him to suffer anyways, was in a way different than the same being done against the other members of the Holy Trinity. Moreover, since He had to pass through all of these derogatory experiences in His earthly form at the hands of mankind to prepare the way of salvation for all of mankind, therefore if anything spoken against Him (i.e., His earthly form) were to be called “an unforgivable sin”, then it would defeat the very purpose of His coming to earth, and instead would have condemned mankind into eternal destruction, with no remedy for their sins. Therefore, the blasphemy against God the Son could not be called “an unforgivable sin.”

    In the context of God the Father, take note that the words “God” and “father” are found and used in all civilizations, religions, and beliefs. Even atheists and irreligious people use them; and often people use these two words without keeping in mind or realizing their meaning, as ‘swear words’ or in an insulting and derogatory sense, as “Oh! My God”; “God condemn/destroy you”; “Curse you in God’s name”; “God’s promise”; and even in abuses and invectives. The use of these two words “God” and “father” in this derogatory manner by anyone in the world does not necessarily mean that he is saying that derogatory thing against God the Father of the Bible, i.e., against the holy personality of the Holy Trinity of the Christian Faith. Similarly, the word “father” can be used with many different implications and senses, often to swear or in abusive language. The words “God” and “father”, have been used in every culture, civilization, belief, religion of the world in an honorable and reverential manner, and at times for worshipping and even for elevating a person to the status of deity and for according him a divine honor, which is again unBiblical. Hence any misuse and misapplication of these words, “God” and “father”, if they had not been kept out of the purview of this blasphemy of the Lord God Jehovah, then all those who would ever have done this would have become guilty and worthy of eternal condemnation, and would never have had any chance of being saved from their sins. Therefore, these two words, “God” and “father” too, could not have been included in the scope of the “unforgivable sin of blasphemy.”

    This leaves only God the Holy Spirit from the Holy Trinity. A very important thing to keep in mind over here is the fact that the concept of “God the Holy Spirit” is unique only to the Judeo-Christian religious thinking and beliefs; it is not seen in any other culture, belief, or religion of the world. Since even the people of the Old Testament knew about the Holy Spirit (e.g., Genesis 1:2; Psalms 104:30; 139:7, etc.), and the Pharisees, Sadducees, and the Scribes used to study, teach and preach the Old Testament, therefore there is no way in which they could say that they did not know about the Holy Spirit; nor could they claim that they were unaware of the Holy Spirit being a part of the Holy Trinity of God.

    Therefore, keeping the above-mentioned things in mind about God the Father and God the Son, essentially, it is only something derogatory stated against the Holy Spirit that could have been considered as blasphemy against the one and only true and living Holy God.

    To speak against the Holy God is the same sin that the archangel Lucifer committed and was cast out of heaven (Isaiah 14:12-14; Ezekiel 28:12-15), and became Satan - forever and ever the opponent of God and everything related to God. Lucifer rebelled and spoke against the glory and majesty of God. Lucifer had seen God in all His glory, majesty, sovereignty, and power; he well knew who God was, but still rebelled against Him, spoke against Him, wanted to rise over and above God. Being well aware of the truth, and still willfully and knowingly rebelling against God became the unforgivable sin for Lucifer and he was cast out of heaven along with his angels. He became Satan, and he along with his followers was condemned to eternal hell (Matthew 25:41, 46).

   In the next article we will see why Lucifer’s sin could not be forgiven, and will also understand what the word ‘blasphemy’ means according to the Word of God.

    If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

    हम पिछले लेखों से देखते आ रहे हैं कि बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों की एक पहचान यह भी है कि वे बहुत सरलता से भ्रामक शिक्षाओं द्वारा बहकाए तथा गलत बातों में भटकाए जाते हैं। इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं को शैतान और उस के दूत झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्‍वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)। ये लोग, और उनकी शिक्षाएं, दोनों ही बहुत आकर्षक, रोचक, और ज्ञानवान, यहाँ तक कि भक्तिपूर्ण और श्रद्धापूर्ण भी प्रतीत हो सकती हैं, किन्तु साथ ही उनमें अवश्य ही बाइबल की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डली हुई होती हैं। जैसा परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है, यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता, इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं और गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन विषय, होते हैं - प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार। साथ ही इस पद में सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है, कि इन तीनों विषयों के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य हैं, वे सब वचन में पहले से ही बता और लिखवा दिए गए हैं। इसलिए बाइबल से देखने, जाँचने, तथा वचन के आधार पर शिक्षाओं को परखने के द्वारा सही और गलत की पहचान करना कठिन नहीं है।

    पिछले लेखों में हमने इन गलत शिक्षा देने वाले लोगों के द्वारा, प्रभु यीशु से संबंधित सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं को देखने के बाद, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित सामान्यतः बताई और सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं की वास्तविकता को वचन की बातों से देखना आरंभ किया है। हम देख चुके हैं कि प्रत्येक सच्चे मसीही विश्वासी के नया जन्म या उद्धार पाते ही, तुरंत उसके उद्धार पाने के पल से ही परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा अपनी संपूर्णता में आकर उसके अंदर निवास करने लगता है, और उसी में बना रहता है, उसे कभी छोड़ कर नहीं जाता है; और इसी को पवित्र आत्मा से भरना या पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा पाना भी कहते हैं। वचन स्पष्ट है कि पवित्र आत्मा से भरना या उससे बपतिस्मा पाना कोई दूसरा या अतिरिक्त अनुभव नहीं है, वरन उद्धार के साथ ही सच्चे मसीही विश्वासी में पवित्र आत्मा का आकर निवास करना ही है। इन गलत शिक्षकों की एक और बहुत प्रचलित और बल पूर्वक कही जाने वाले बात है “अन्य-भाषाओं” में बोलना, और उन लोगों के द्वारा “अन्य-भाषाओं” को अलौकिक भाषाएं बताना, और परमेश्वर के वचन के दुरुपयोग के द्वारा इससे संबंधित कई और गलत शिक्षाओं को सिखाना। इसके बारे में भी हम देख चुके हैं कि यह भी एक ऐसी गलत शिक्षा है जिसका वचन से कोई समर्थन या आधार नहीं है। प्रेरितों 2 अध्याय में जो अन्य भाषाएं बोली गईं, वे पृथ्वी ही की भाषाएं और उनकी बोलियाँ थीं; कोई अलौकिक भाषा नहीं। हमने यह भी देखा था कि वचन में इस शिक्षा का भी कोई आधार या समर्थन नहीं है कि “अन्य-भाषाएं” प्रार्थना की भाषाएं हैं। इस गलत शिक्षा के साथ जुड़ी हुई इन लोगों की एक और गलत शिक्षा है कि “अन्य-भाषाएं” बोलना ही पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने का प्रमाण है, जिसके भी झूठ होने और परमेश्वर के वचन के दुरुपयोग पर आधारित होने को हमने पिछले लेख में देखा है। पिछले लेख में हमने यह भी देखा था कि उन लोगों के सभी दावों के विपरीत, न तो प्रेरितों 2:3-11 का प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा अन्य-भाषाओं में बोलना कोई “सुनने” का आश्चर्यकर्म था, न ही अन्य भाषाएं प्रार्थना करने की गुप्त भाषाएँ हैं, और न ही ये किसी को भी यूं ही दे दी जाती हैं, जब तक कि व्यक्ति की उस स्थान पर सेवकाई न हो, जहाँ की भाषा बोलने की सामर्थ्य उसे प्रदान की गई है। एक और दावा जो ये पवित्र आत्मा और अन्य-भाषाएँ बोलने से संबंधित गलत शिक्षाएं देने वाले करते हैं, वह है कि व्यक्ति अन्य-भाषा बोलने के द्वारा सीधे परमेश्वर से बात करता है। इसके तथा कुछ संबंधित और बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बातों के बारे में हम पिछले दो लेखों में देख चुके हैं कि उनका यह दावा भी वचन की कसौटी पर बिलकुल गलत है, अस्वीकार्य है। ये केवल बाइबल की गलत व्याख्या और दुरुपयोग के द्वारा उनके द्वारा बनाई गई मन-गढ़ंत धारणाएं हैं इनका बाइबल में कोई समर्थन नहीं है, और कुछ भी नहीं।

    बाइबल की गलत व्याख्या और दुरुपयोग के द्वारा उनके द्वारा बनाई गई इन मन-गढ़ंत धारणाओं के लोगों द्वारा विश्लेषण करने तथा सत्य को उजागर होने से रोकने के लिये वे भय को एक रण-नीति के समान प्रयोग करते हैं। यदि कोई उनकी धारणाओं की जाँच करना चाहता है, तो उसे ऐसा करने से हतोत्साहित करने के लिये, ये लोग उसे यह कहकर भयभीत करते हैं कि वह ऐसा करने के द्वारा पवित्र आत्मा की निन्दा का कभी क्षमा न किया जाने वाला पाप करने जा रहा है, जिसके फिर परमेश्वर की ओर से बहुत ही गंभीर परिणाम होंगे, इसलिए उसे उनकी बात मान लेनी चाहिए और अपने प्रयास छोड़ देने चाहिएँ। आज से हम उनके इसी दावे की सत्यता के बारे में देखेंगे।

    पवित्र आत्मा की निन्दा क्या है, और क्यों इस क्षमा न हो सकने वाला पाप कहा गया है?

    हम पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित इस एक और बहुत गलत और भ्रामक शिक्षा “पवित्र आत्मा की निन्दा - कभी क्षमा न होने वाला पाप” के बारे में, जिसका दुरुपयोग ये गलत शिक्षाएं फैलाने वाले लोग अपने आप को प्रश्न पूछे जाने तथा अपनी आलोचना होने से बचाए रखने के लिए करते हैं, कुछ विस्तार से, तीन भागों में देखेंगे।

    इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है कि परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में, स्वयं प्रभु यीशु मसीह ही के द्वारा  “पवित्र आत्मा की निन्दा या निरादर” को “कभी न क्षमा होने वाला पाप” कहा गया है (मत्ती 12:31; मरकुस 3:29; लूका 12:10)। किन्तु वर्तमान में यह भी एक तथ्य है कि प्रभु की इस बात को लेकर मसीही विश्वासियों, मसीही या ईसाई समाज के लोगों में बहुत सी ग़लतफ़हमियाँ भी हैं, जिसके कारण प्रभु की इस बात का दुरुपयोग भी किया जाता है; उसे ऐसे अर्थ और अभिप्राय दिए जाते हैं जो उस कथन से कभी सम्बन्धित ही नहीं थे। यह निंदनीय है कि बहुत से प्रचारक तथा शिक्षक, विशेषकर वे लोग जो पवित्र आत्मा के संबंध में गलत शिक्षाएं सिखाते और फैलाते हैं, वचन की बातों को अनुचित रीति से, संदर्भ से बाहर, और तोड़-मरोड़ कर लोगों के सामने प्रस्तुत करके, इस बात का दुरुपयोग लोगों के मनों में अनुचित भय जागृत करने के लिए करते हैं। वे ऐसा इसलिए करते हैं जिससे कोई उनसे, उनके कार्यों और शिक्षाओं के लिए प्रश्न न कर सके। ऐसा करके ये लोग, प्रश्न करने वालों पर “पवित्र आत्मा का निरादर/निन्दा” करने का भय एवं आरोप लगाने के द्वारा, उन गलत शिक्षकों की बहुत सी सैद्धांतिक एवं विश्वास संबंधी गलत शिक्षाओं के विषय, तथा उन लोगों के जीवनों में पाए जाने वाले अनुचित व्यवहार के प्रति उन से प्रश्न करने वाले लोगों के मुंह बंद करते हैं।

Understanding The Sin of Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit (1)

    We have been seeing in the previous articles that one of the ways the childlike, immature Christian Believers can be identified is that they can very easily be deceived, beguiled and misled by wrong doctrines and false teachings. Satan and his followers bring in their wrong doctrines and misinterpretations of God’s Word through people who masquerade as apostles, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). These deceptive people and their false messages, their teachings appear to be very attractive, interesting, knowledgeable, even very reverential and righteous; but there is always something or the other that is extra-Biblical or unBiblical mixed into them. These wrong teachings and false doctrines are mainly about three topics, as God the Holy Spirit got it written down through the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! - the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel. In this verse a very important way to identify the false and the correct, discern between them, and escape from being beguiled by Satan is also given - that which is the truth about these three topics has already been given and written in God’s Word. Therefore, by cross-checking every teaching and doctrine from the Bible, the true and the false can be discerned; that which is not already present in God’s Word is false, and their preacher is a preacher of satanic deceptions.

    In the previous articles, after seeing some commonly preached and taught false things about the Lord Jesus, we had started to look into the wrong things often taught and preached about the Holy Spirit. About the Holy Spirit, we have seen that every truly Born-Again Christian Believer automatically receives the Holy Spirit from God, at the very moment of his being saved. From that moment onwards, the Holy Spirit comes to reside in him in all His fullness, stays with him forever, never leaves him; and Biblically this is also known as being filled by the Holy Spirit or the baptism with the Holy Spirit. God's Word is very clear that quite unlike what these people say, the filling or baptism of the Holy Spirit is not a second, or a different experience, other than receiving the Holy Spirit at salvation. Another very popular and emphatically stated wrong teaching of these preachers and teachers of deceptions is about “speaking in tongues”, their claim that the “tongues’ are super-natural languages, and some other related wrong teachings. Regarding this we have seen that these are also wrong teachings which have no support or affirmation from the Bible. The speaking in “tongues” in Acts 2 were the known and understood languages of the earth and not any super-natural languages. We have also seen that quite unlike their claims, “tongues” are not any “prayer language”, and neither is speaking in tongues is proof of receiving the Holy Spirit - the Bible does not offer any affirmation or support to any of these. Rather, the Bible very clearly shows that their emphatic claims about these are patently false and unBiblical. We had also seen that contrary to their claims, neither the speaking in other languages by the disciples of Lord Jesus, as given in Acts 2:3-11 was a 'miracle of hearing'; nor are "tongues" meant to be a secret prayer language; and, nor are they languages of other regions of the earth that have casually been given, unless the person has a ministry in that region whose language he has been given. These are all nothing more than their concocted ideas made up through misuse and misinterpretation of Biblical facts.

    To cover up their concocted ideas made up through misuse and misinterpretation of Biblical facts, and to prevent people from analyzing their claims and raising questions, they use fear as a tactic. If anyone tries to examine their false notions, they discourage him from doing so by telling them that they are committing the unpardonable sin of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, and should back-off, stop doing this, simply accept what has been said, else they will face very serious consequences from God. From today, we will start looking into the veracity of these claims made by them.

    What is the Sin of Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit; and why has it been called the unforgivable sin?

    We will start considering “Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit - the Unpardonable Sin”, another very wrong and deceptive teaching frequently misused by these purveyors of wrong doctrines and false teachings, to avoid facing questions and criticism. We will look into it in some detail, and in three parts.

    There is no doubt, whatsoever, that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit has been called the unforgivable sin, by the Lord Jesus Himself (Matthew 12:31; Mark 3:29; Luke 12:10); therefore, it cannot be denied or ignored in any manner. But this too is equally true, that at present, in Christendom, there are many misconceptions and misunderstandings about what the Lord Jesus has said. The Lord’s statement is often misinterpreted and misused to preach and teach things that statement was never intended for. It is very deplorable that many preachers and teachers, especially those who preach and teach wrong things about the Holy Spirit, take the things of God’s Word, out of their context, then misinterpret and twist them to make them seem like God’s Word is supporting a particular belief, then use it to create a false and unjustified fear in the hearts of the people. They do this to avoid being evaluated and questioned not only about their questionable doctrines and teachings, but even about their own lives, life-styles, and “ministry” that they carry out. By invoking “Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit - the Unpardonable Sin”, against anyone who dares to question them, they try to cover up their wrongs.

    In the next article we will see why it is only against the Holy Spirit that a sin has been called "unforgivable."

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

    पिछले लेख में हमने परमेश्वर के वचन के आधार पर कुछ बातों को देखा था कि क्यों "अन्य भाषाओं" में बोलना प्रार्थना की भाषा, या परमेश्वर से बातें करने की भाषा नहीं हो सकता है।  हमने यह भी देखा था कि अपनी इस गलत शिक्षा को सही ठहराने के लिए ये लोग किस प्रकार परमेश्वर क वचन को तोड़ते-मरोड़ते हैं, उसकी गलत व्याख्या करते हैं, उसका दुरुपयोग करते हैं। आज हम इसी विषय को ज़ारी रखते हुए, वचन से इस बारे में कुछ और बातों को देखते और समझते हैं। 

    यह भी ध्यान देने योग्य बात है कि 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:7 में लिखा है कि पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा दिए जाने वाले आत्मिक वरदान “सब के लाभ पहुँचाने” के उद्देश्य से दिए जाते हैं। इस बात के अनुसार 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:4 में बताया गया है कि वे व्यर्थ की अन्य-भाषाएं बोलने वाले ऐसा करने के द्वारा केवल अपनी ही उन्नति करते, कलीसिया की नहीं। और यदि वर्तमान में उनका अपनी प्रार्थनाओं या आशीष के लिए अन्य-भाषा में बोलने का यह दावा सही होता, तो फिर वचन की शिक्षाओं के विरुद्ध होता, वचन में विरोधाभास (contradiction) ले आता - जो वचन के पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई और प्रेरणा से लिखे जाने के कारण संभव नहीं है। इसलिए यह स्पष्ट है कि अन्य-भाषाओं में बोलना किसी के भी, कैसे भी व्यक्तिगत प्रयोग अथवा लाभ या उन्नति के लिए हो ही नहीं सकता है। अन्य-भाषा में बोलना तब ही सही और जायज़ होगा जब वह सभी लोगों के लाभ और कलीसिया की उन्नति के लिए हो; और यह तभी हो सकता है जब उस भाषा में कही जाने वाली बातें मनुष्यों द्वारा भी समझी और सीखी जा सकें, केवल ‘परमेश्वर से की गई बातें’ न हों।

    पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, पौलुस प्रेरित ने यहाँ यह भी लिखा है, मैं चाहता हूं, कि तुम सब अन्य भाषाओं में बातें करो, परन्तु अधिकतर यह चाहता हूं कि भविष्यवाणी करो: क्योंकि यदि अन्य अन्य भाषा बोलने वाला कलीसिया की उन्नति के लिये अनुवाद न करे तो भविष्यवाणी करने वाला उस से बढ़कर है (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:5)। गलत शिक्षाएं फैलाने वाले ये लोग इस पद के केवल आरंभिक वाक्य “मैं चाहता हूं, कि तुम सब अन्य भाषाओं में बातें करो...” को ही लोगों के सामने रखते हैं, और कहते हैं कि यह वचन ही की शिक्षा है कि सभी को अन्य-भाषाओं में बोलना चाहिए। किन्तु वे उससे आगे के वाक्य “... परन्तु अधिकतर यह चाहता हूं कि भविष्यवाणी करो: क्योंकि यदि अन्य अन्य भाषा बोलने वाला कलीसिया की उन्नति के लिये अनुवाद न करे तो भविष्यवाणी करने वाला उस से बढ़कर है” की पूर्णतः अनदेखी कर देते हैं, क्योंकि यहाँ स्पष्ट लिखा है कि यदि अन्य-भाषा में बोली गई बात का कलीसिया के लिए अनुवाद न किया जाए, तो अन्य-भाषाओं में बोलने से बेहतर भविष्यवाणी करना है। अब, जब ये स्वयं ही नहीं जानते हैं कि वे क्या बोल रहे हैं, तो फिर कोई अनुवाद कैसे हो सकता है? और फिर, ये ‘अन्य-भाषा’ में बोलने वाले तो इसे अपने निज लाभ के लिए, अपने बड़ाई और महत्व को दिखाने के लिए उपयोग करते हैं न कि औरों के लाभ और कलीसिया की उन्नति के लिए; तो फिर वे इस पद के सामने कैसे खड़े रह सकते हैं? हम पहले के लेखों में देख चुके हैं कि वचन में “भविष्यवाणी करने” का अर्थ हमेशा ही भविष्य की बातें बताना ही नहीं है, वरन लोगों के समक्ष बोलना, उन्हें परमेश्वर के वचन की शिक्षाएं देना है। अब यह प्रकट है कि पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में पौलुस के इच्छा यही है कि निरर्थक अन्य-भाषाएँ बोलने के स्थान पर प्रभु के लोगों में वचन को सीखने और उसे औरों को सिखाने की अभिलाषा होनी चाहिए। दूसरों को वचन की सही शिक्षा देना अन्य-भाषा बोलने से अधिक उत्तम और परमेश्वर को अधिक पसंद कार्य है (2 तिमुथियुस 2:14-16)।

    यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित इन गलत शिक्षाओं में न पड़ जाएं; न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाले ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर भी ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें। यदि आप इन गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ चुके हैं, तो अभी वचन के अध्ययन और बात को जाँच-परख कर, सही शिक्षा को, उसी के पालन को अपना लें।

Speaking in “Tongues” is NOT Directly Speaking with God (3)

    In the previous article we had seen some things on the basis of God's Word, that why "speaking in tongues" cannot be a prayer language, or a language to directly converse with God. We had also seen how, to justify their false teachings, these people twist and manipulate God's Word, misinterpret and misuse it. Today we will continue with this topic and see some other related things.

    Another thing to take note is that, as written in 1 Corinthians 12:7, every spiritual gift given by the Holy Spirit is “for the benefit of all.” On this basis it has been written in 1 Corinthians 14:4 that those who speak in ‘tongues’ in a vain manner, only edify themselves, not the church. If the present day claim of these people regarding ‘tongues’ being a ‘prayer language’ or a language to ‘converse with God’ and be blessed were to be correct, then this using a spiritual gift for personal benefit would bring in a contradiction in God’s Word - which is not possible since God’s Word has been written with the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, it is apparent that speaking in ‘tongues’ can never be for any person’s personal benefit, and its use can only be justified and true when it is used for the benefit of others and edification of the Church. This can only happen if what is spoken in that so-called super-natural language does not remain a secret, unknown, incomprehensible conversation with God, but can also be understood and learnt by others.

    Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul also wrote, I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification (1 Corinthians 14:5). But these people are experts at misusing God’s Word and spreading false teachings; they only use the first part of this verse, “I wish you all spoke with tongues…” only place this portion before the people, and then claim that it is the teaching of God’s Word that people should speak in tongues. But they deliberately ignore the rest of this verse “...but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification”, because it is very clearly written here that more than speaking in tongues, one should prophesy. It is also clearly written that unless what is spoken in ‘tongues’ is translated for the Church, he who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in ‘tongues’. When they themselves do not know what they are saying, how can there be any translation of what they are saying? And, anyways, these speakers in ‘tongues’ want to use it for personal benefit, to show-off to others, not for the benefit of others and edification of the Church; so how then can they hold their grounds in facing this verse? We have already seen in the earlier articles that “to prophesy” does not necessarily mean to foretell the future, but it often means to speak before others and teach them the Word of God. So, it is evident from this verse that through Paul, the Holy Spirit is saying that instead of vainly speaking in incomprehensible, meaningless ‘tongues’, God’s people should be more interested in learning God’s Word and desirous of teaching it to others. To correctly teach the Word of God is a far more noble work, one that God likes and prefers over the vain speaking in ‘tongues’ (2 Timothy 2:14-16).

    If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

    हम पिछले लेखों से देखते आ रहे हैं कि बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों की एक पहचान यह भी है कि वे बहुत सरलता से भ्रामक शिक्षाओं द्वारा बहकाए तथा गलत बातों में भटकाए जाते हैं। इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं को शैतान और उस के दूत झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्‍वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)। ये भ्रामक लोग, और उनकी शिक्षाएं, दोनों ही बहुत आकर्षक, रोचक, और ज्ञानवान, यहाँ तक कि भक्तिपूर्ण और श्रद्धापूर्ण भी प्रतीत हो सकती हैं, किन्तु साथ ही उनमें अवश्य ही बाइबल की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डली हुई होती हैं। जैसा परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है, यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता, इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं और गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन विषय, होते हैं - प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार। साथ ही इस पद में सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है, कि इन तीनों विषयों के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य हैं, वे सब वचन में पहले से ही बता और लिखवा दिए गए हैं। इसलिए बाइबल से देखने, जाँचने, तथा वचन के आधार पर शिक्षाओं को परखने के द्वारा सही और गलत की पहचान करना कठिन नहीं है।

    पिछले लेखों में हमने इन गलत शिक्षा देने वाले लोगों के द्वारा, प्रभु यीशु से संबंधित सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं को देखने के बाद, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित सामान्यतः बताई और सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं की वास्तविकता को वचन की बातों से देखना आरंभ किया है। हम देख चुके हैं कि प्रत्येक सच्चे मसीही विश्वासी के नया जन्म या उद्धार पाते ही, तुरंत उसके उद्धार पाने के पल से ही परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा अपनी संपूर्णता में आकर उसके अंदर निवास करने लगता है, और उसी में बना रहता है, उसे कभी छोड़ कर नहीं जाता है; और इसी को पवित्र आत्मा से भरना या पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा पाना भी कहते हैं। वचन स्पष्ट है कि पवित्र आत्मा से भरना या उससे बपतिस्मा पाना कोई दूसरा या अतिरिक्त अनुभव नहीं है, वरन उद्धार के साथ ही सच्चे मसीही विश्वासी में पवित्र आत्मा का आकर निवास करना ही है। इन गलत शिक्षकों की एक और बहुत प्रचलित और बल पूर्वक कही जाने वाले बात है “अन्य-भाषाओं” में बोलना, और उन लोगों के द्वारा “अन्य-भाषाओं” को अलौकिक भाषाएं बताना, और परमेश्वर के वचन के दुरुपयोग के द्वारा इससे संबंधित कई और गलत शिक्षाओं को सिखाना। इसके बारे में भी हम देख चुके हैं कि यह भी एक ऐसी गलत शिक्षा है जिसका वचन से कोई समर्थन या आधार नहीं है। प्रेरितों 2 अध्याय में जो अन्य भाषाएं बोली गईं, वे पृथ्वी ही की भाषाएं और उनकी बोलियाँ थीं; कोई अलौकिक भाषा नहीं। हमने यह भी देखा था कि वचन में इस शिक्षा का भी कोई आधार या समर्थन नहीं है कि “अन्य-भाषाएं” प्रार्थना की भाषाएं हैं। इस गलत शिक्षा के साथ जुड़ी हुई इन लोगों की एक और गलत शिक्षा है कि “अन्य-भाषाएं” बोलना ही पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने का प्रमाण है, जिसके भी झूठ होने और परमेश्वर के वचन के दुरुपयोग पर आधारित होने को हमने पिछले लेख में देखा है। पिछले लेख में हमने यह भी देखा था कि उन लोगों के सभी दावों के विपरीत, न तो प्रेरितों 2:3-11 का प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा अन्य-भाषाओं में बोलना कोई “सुनने” का आश्चर्यकर्म था, न ही अन्य भाषाएं प्रार्थना करने की गुप्त भाषाएँ हैं, और न ही ये किसी को भी यूं ही दे दी जाती हैं, जब तक कि व्यक्ति की उस स्थान पर सेवकाई न हो, जहाँ की भाषा बोलने की सामर्थ्य उसे प्रदान की गई है।

    एक और दावा जो ये पवित्र आत्मा और अन्य-भाषाएँ बोलने से संबंधित गलत शिक्षाएं देने वाले करते हैं, है कि व्यक्ति अन्य-भाषा बोलने के द्वारा सीधे परमेश्वर से वार्तालाप करता है। इसके बारे में हम पिछले लेख में बाइबल के कुछ महत्वपूर्ण तथ्यों से देख चुके हैं कि उनका यह दावा भी वचन की कसौटी पर बिलकुल गलत है, अस्वीकार्य है। आज हम इससे संबंधित कुछ अन्य बातों को देखेंगे। यहाँ पर कुछ संबंधित और बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बातों पर ध्यान दीजिए, जिनकी अनदेखी ये गलत शिक्षा देने वाले करते रहते हैं, क्योंकि इनसे उनके झूठ प्रकट हो जाते हैं:

    क्या अन्य सभी मसीही विश्वासी, जो उनके अनुसार उनकी ये ‘अन्य-भाषाएँ’ नहीं बोलते हैं, क्या वे पिता परमेश्वर से वार्तालाप नहीं करते हैं? और क्या पिता परमेश्वर उनकी नहीं सुनता है, उनकी प्रार्थनाओं के उत्तर नहीं देता है? यदि अन्य-भाषा बोले बिना भी परमेश्वर से बात-चीत की जा सकती है, परमेश्वर सामान्य भाषा में की गई बातों को भी सुनता है, उनका उत्तर देता है, तो फिर किसी को भी उनकी ये अन्य-भाषा में बोलने की क्या आवश्यकता है? हम पहले के लेख में देख चुके हैं कि ‘अन्य भाषा’ का गुप्त ‘प्रार्थना की भाषा’ होने का बाइबल से कोई समर्थन अथवा प्रमाण नहीं है; तो फिर उनकी ये अन्य-भाषा में बोलने के द्वारा कोई भी और क्या अतिरिक्त या अद्भुत कह लेगा, कर लेगा, या प्राप्त कर लेगा? इस संदर्भ में उनके सभी दावों के झूठा और वचन के अतिरिक्त होने को तो हम देख ही चुके हैं।

    वचन में, पुराने अथवा नए नियम में, ऐसा कुछ भी कहाँ लिखा है कि अन्य-भाषाओं में प्रार्थना करने वालों, या परमेश्वर से बातचीत करने वालों की ही बातें परमेश्वर द्वारा सुनी जाती हैं? या फिर, उनकी बातें परमेश्वर पहले या अवश्य ही सुनता है, जबकि अपनी सामान्य भाषा में प्रार्थना करने वालों की बातों की परमेश्वर अनदेखी करता है या विलंब से सुनता है? परमेश्वर और उसके वचन से संबंधित शिक्षाओं में इस प्रकार के अनुचित अभिप्राय मिला देने के द्वारा वे इन शिक्षाओं के शैतान की ओर से होने की पुष्टि करते हैं, क्योंकि शैतान आरंभ ही से परमेश्वर की बातों में मिलावट करता आया है, उन्हें बिगाड़ कर प्रस्तुत करता आया है। और इन गलत शिक्षाओं में बने रहने, इन्हें सिखाते रहने के द्वारा वे अपने लिए बहुत कठोर दण्ड निश्चित कर रहे हैं। 

    पुराने नियम में लेवियों और याजकों का कार्य था लोगों की ओर से परमेश्वर के सामने भेंट-बलिदान चढ़ाना, और साथ ही इस्राएल की प्रजा के लिए परमेश्वर का दूत होने के नाते उन्हें लोगों को परमेश्वर का वचन भी सिखाना होता था (मलाकी 2:4-7)। लेकिन न व्यवस्था की पुस्तकों में, और न कहीं और यह लिखा गया है कि उन्हें भी अन्य-भाषाओं में यह सेवकाई करनी होती थी। यदि व्यवस्था के युग में बिना मुँह से विचित्र, निरर्थक ध्वनियाँ निकाले याजक परमेश्वर की इच्छा जानने के लिए परमेश्वर से बातें कर सकता था, तो फिर आज इस अनुग्रह के युग में जब प्रभु परमेश्वर हमारे साथ रहता है, हम में निवास करता है, हम सामान्य भाषा में उससे बात क्यों नहीं कर सकते हैं? ये लोग वचन की शिक्षाओं के विरुद्ध व्यर्थ के निराधार तर्क, सहज और स्वीकार्य बनाकर देने में बहुत निपुण होते हैं, जिन के द्वारा ये लोग अपरिपक्व और भोले लोगों को बहुत से गलत मार्गों में बहका और भटका देते हैं।

    हम इसी विषय को अगले लेख में भी ज़ारी रखेंगे, और कुछ अन्य संबंधित बातों के बारे में देखेंगे। 

    यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Speaking in “Tongues” is NOT Directly Speaking with God (2)

    We have been seeing in the previous articles that one of the ways the childlike, immature Christian Believers can be identified is that they can very easily be deceived, beguiled and misled by wrong doctrines and false teachings. Satan and his followers bring in their wrong doctrines and misinterpretations of God’s Word through people who masquerade as apostles, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). These deceptive people and their false messages, their teachings appear to be very attractive, interesting, knowledgeable, even very reverential and righteous; but there is always something or the other that is extra-Biblical or unBiblical mixed into them. These wrong teachings and false doctrines are mainly about three topics, as God the Holy Spirit got it written down through the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! - the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel. In this verse a very important way to identify the false and the correct, discern between them, and escape from being beguiled by Satan is also given - that which is the truth about these three topics has already been given and written in God’s Word. Therefore, by cross-checking every teaching and doctrine from the Bible, the true and the false can be discerned; that which is not already present in God’s Word is false, and their preacher is a preacher of satanic deceptions.

    In the previous articles, after seeing some commonly preached and taught false things about the Lord Jesus, we had started to look into the wrong things often taught and preached about the Holy Spirit. About the Holy Spirit, we have seen that every truly Born-Again Christian Believer automatically receives the Holy Spirit from God, at the very moment of his being saved. From that moment onwards, the Holy Spirit comes to reside in him in all His fullness, stays with him forever, never leaves him; and Biblically this is also known as being filled by the Holy Spirit or the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Another very popular and emphatically stated wrong teaching of these preachers and teachers of deceptions is about “speaking in tongues”, their claim that the “tongues’ are super-natural languages, and some other related wrong teachings. Regarding this we have seen that these are also wrong teachings which have no support or affirmation from the Bible. The speaking in “tongues” in Acts 2 were the known and understood languages of the earth and not any super-natural languages. We also saw that quite unlike their claims, “tongues” are not any “prayer language” - the Bible does not offer any support to this; and we also saw how their emphatic claim that speaking in tongues is proof of receiving the Holy Spirit is also patently false and unBiblical; it is their concocted doctrine through misuse and misinterpretation of Biblical facts. We had also seen that contrary to their claims, neither the speaking in other languages by the disciples of Lord Jesus, as given in Acts 2:3-11 was a 'miracle of hearing'; nor are "tongues" meant to be a secret prayer language; and, nor are they languages of other regions of the earth that have casually been given, unless the person has a ministry in that region whose language he has been given.

    In the last article we had seen some very important Biblical facts regarding another commonly preached false teaching, that “speaking in tongues” is having a direct conversation with God. Today we will see more things that too disprove their claims that speaking in ‘tongues’ is having a direct conversation with God. Consider some pertinent facts, which these preachers and teachers of wrong doctrines and false teachings ignore and never bring up for discussion, since these facts contradict and expose their false claims:

    Is it that all those Christian Believers, who do not speak in ‘tongues’ as these people do, do not converse with God? Does God not listen to them and their prayers? Does He not answer their prayers? If God does listen and answers others as well, if it is possible to converse with God without speaking in ‘tongues’; if God listens to people who speak to Him in their normal language, and answers their prayers, then why does anyone need to speak at all in incomprehensible ‘tongues’? We have seen in the previous article that there is neither any Biblical proof that ‘tongues’ are a secret, heavenly prayer language, nor is there any need for such a so-called ‘prayer language’, so, what extra are they able to gain or achieve through speaking in ‘tongues’ with God? We have already seen how hollow and false all their related claims are.

    In the Scriptures, nowhere is it written in either the Old or the New Testament that God only listens to those who pray to Him in ‘tongues.’ Nor does God’s Word say or even indicate that God gives a priority in listening to those who speak in ‘tongues’, whereas those who speak in their normal language, God either ignores them or answers late. The mixing of such false teachings and implications by them in God’s Word and in their preaching and teaching about God, affirms that their preaching and teachings are not from God but are satanic, since Satan, from the beginning has been mixing up wrong things in God’s instructions and corrupting God’s Word while presenting it to humans. By continuing to persist in these false teachings, and preaching them to others, these people are ensuring a very severe judgment from God for their being stubborn about this.

    In the Old Testament, it was the work of the Levites and Priests to bring the sacrifices and offerings of the people before God, pray for them to God, and being the messengers of God, to teach God’s Word to the Israelites (Malachi 2:4-7). But neither in the books of the Law, nor at any other place is it written that they had to fulfill this ministry with the help of speaking in ‘tongues’. Now, if in the Age of the Law, the Priests could converse with God, know His will, and teach His Word, without taking recourse to gibberish; then in this Age of Grace, when the Lord God resides with and within every Believer, then why can’t a Believer talk to the Lord God in his normal language? These people are adept at giving baseless arguments contrary to God’s Word in a seemingly very plausible manner, and thereby beguiling and misleading the immature, gullible people into all kinds of errors.

    In the next article we will continue to consider this topic further, and see some other related things.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
