शैतान की भ्रम की युक्तियों से बहकाए गए
पिछले लेखों में हमने देखा है कि जब मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर पर भरोसा रखने के स्थान पर अपने ही परिश्रम और प्रयासों पर भरोसा रखते हैं, और फिर परमेश्वर के मार्गदर्शन के अनुसार नहीं वरन अपनी ही, अथवा अन्य मनुष्यों की बुद्धि और समझ के अनुसार कार्य करने लगते हैं, तो फिर वे प्रेरितों 2:42 में दिए गए मसीही जीवन के चार स्तंभों में लौलीन रहने के स्थान पर अपने इस परिश्रम और प्रयास के द्वारा सांसारिक ओहदे, स्तर, और वस्तुओं की प्राप्ति में लौलीन रहने लग जाते हैं। परिणामस्वरूप उनका मसीही जीवन कमज़ोर पड़ने लगता है, और वह मसीही जीवन में परिपक्वता की ओर अग्रसर नहीं रहने पाते हैं, अपरिपक्व हो जाते हैं। अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों से बनी कलीसिया भी अपरिपक्व ही होती है। मसीही विश्वासियों और प्रभु की कलीसिया में इस अपरिपक्वता के लक्षण हम देख चुके हैं। और हमने इफिसियों 4:14 से इस अपरिपक्वता से आने वाले पहले दुष्प्रभाव को पिछले लेख में देखा है, कि अपरिपक्व विश्वासी मनुष्यों की ठग विद्या और चतुराई में या तो बारंबार फँसते रहते हैं, अथवा फंसे ही रह जाते हैं। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि इससे बचने का उपाय भी वचन में बढ़ना, स्थापित और दृढ़ होना, तथा वचन के द्वारा जाँच-परख करने के बाद ही किसी शिक्षा अथवा बात को स्वीकार करना है, चाहे प्रचार करने और सिखाने वाला कोई भी क्यों न हो।
आज हम इफिसियों 4:14 में दिए गए दूसरे दुष्प्रभाव को देखेंगे - मनुष्यों की भ्रम की युक्तियों से प्रभावित रहना। भ्रम शब्द का अर्थ होता है वह जो सही या सत्य प्रतीत तो हो, किन्तु वास्तविकता में सही या सत्य न हो। इसी प्रकार से युक्ति का अर्थ है किसी बात को करने या करवाने के लिए प्रयोग की गई चतुराई या बुद्धिमत्ता की कोई बात। अर्थात, भ्रम की युक्तियों से प्रभावित रहने का, हमारी इस चर्चा के संदर्भ में, तात्पर्य हुआ किसी मिथ्या बात को सही या ठीक बना और बता कर, चतुराई से गढ़ी गई बातों के द्वारा, भोले और अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर के सही मार्ग से भटका कर शैतान के भ्रष्ट और गलत मार्ग पर डाल देना। शैतान यह कार्य इतनी चतुराई और बारीकी से करता है कि बहुधा उस प्रभु की संतान को पता भी नहीं चलने पाता है कि वह किसी गलत मार्ग पर चल निकला है। जब तक भटक जाने का एहसास होता है कि वह गलत मार्ग पर चल रहा है, तब तक उसकी बहुत हानि हो चुकी होती है।
इसका एक उत्तम उदाहरण है अय्यूब की पुस्तक में अय्यूब और उसके मित्रों के मध्य हुआ तर्क-वितर्क, और अंततः परमेश्वर द्वारा अय्यूब को सही तथा उसके मित्रों को गलत बताना। संक्षेप में, अय्यूब के साथ हुई भयानक त्रासदी और हानि के समाचार को सुनकर उसके मित्र उससे मिलने और उसे सांत्वना देने आए (अय्यूब 2:11-13)। उन्होंने बारंबार, अपने तर्कों और विचारों के द्वारा अय्यूब को यह जताने का प्रयास किया कि उसने कुछ ऐसा पाप किया होगा जिसके कारण परमेश्वर उससे क्रुद्ध हुआ और उस पर यह ताड़ना भेजी (अय्यूब 4:7-9)। अपनी बातों से वे परमेश्वर को सही, न्यायी, और खरा, तथा अय्यूब को बुरा और परमेश्वर की ताड़ना के लिए दोषी प्रमाणित करना चाह रहे थे। अय्यूब उनके हर तर्क का उत्तर देता रहा और उनसे यही कहता रहा कि उसने ऐसा कुछ नहीं किया है जिसके कारण परमेश्वर को उसे यह भयानक ताड़ना देनी पड़े। अन्ततः, वे मित्र चुप हो जाते हैं, और अय्यूब परमेश्वर के सामने अपने निर्दोष होने की दुहाई देता है, परमेश्वर से न्याय माँगता है। जब परमेश्वर अय्यूब से बात करता है तो अय्यूब को अपनी वास्तविक पापमय स्थिति का एहसास होता है, और वह पश्चाताप करता है, परमेश्वर से क्षमा माँगता है (अय्यूब 40:2-5;42:1-6)। परमेश्वर उसे क्षमा कर देता है, उसे दोगुना लौटा कर दे देता है।
हमारी इस चर्चा की बात के लिए अय्यूब को क्षमा करने के बाद परमेश्वर जो कहता है, वह महत्वपूर्ण और रोचक है; और ऐसा हुआ कि जब यहोवा ये बातें अय्यूब से कह चुका, तब उसने तेमानी एलीपज से कहा, मेरा क्रोध तेरे और तेरे दोनों मित्रों पर भड़का है, क्योंकि जैसी ठीक बात मेरे दास अय्यूब ने मेरे विषय कही है, वैसी तुम लोगों ने नहीं कही। इसलिये अब तुम सात बैल और सात मेढ़े छांट कर मेरे दास अय्यूब के पास जा कर अपने निमित्त होमबलि चढ़ाओ, तब मेरा दास अय्यूब तुम्हारे लिये प्रार्थना करेगा, क्योंकि उसी की मैं ग्रहण करूंगा; और नहीं, तो मैं तुम से तुम्हारी मूढ़ता के योग्य बर्ताव करूंगा, क्योंकि तुम लोगों ने मेरे विषय मेरे दास अय्यूब की सी ठीक बात नहीं कही। यह सुन तेमानी एलीपज, शूही बिल्दद और नामाती सोपर ने जा कर यहोवा की आज्ञा के अनुसार किया, और यहोवा ने अय्यूब की प्रार्थना ग्रहण की। जब अय्यूब ने अपने मित्रों के लिये प्रार्थना की, तब यहोवा ने उसका सारा दु:ख दूर किया, और जितना अय्यूब का पहिले था, उसका दुगना यहोवा ने उसे दे दिया (अय्यूब 42:7-10)। अय्यूब की पुस्तक के अधिकांश भाग में ये मित्र परमेश्वर को सही और अय्यूब को दोषी ठहराने का प्रयास करते रहे, परमेश्वर के पक्ष की बात करते रहे, किन्तु इन्हें पता ही नहीं चला, कब और कैसे शैतान ने उन्हें अपनी ओर से बोलने वाला बना दिया।
वे अपनी समझ से परमेश्वर के पक्ष में बोल रहे थे, किन्तु यह उनका भ्रम था; शैतान ने उन्हें अपनी युक्ति के द्वारा परमेश्वर के बारे में ठीक बातें कहने से भटका दिया था। बिना जाने और समझे, बिना अय्यूब की सुने और माने, उन्होंने इतना कुछ परमेश्वर के लिए गलत कहा कि परमेश्वर उनकी घोर ताड़ना करने के लिए तैयार हो गया। परमेश्वर ने अब यह अय्यूब पर छोड़ दिया कि वह अपने मित्रों के लिए बिचवई का कार्य करेगा, उनके लिए क्षमा याचना करेगा, या उन्हें उनके किए का दंड भुगतने देगा। अय्यूब ने अपने मित्रों के लिए परमेश्वर से क्षमा याचना की और उन्हें परमेश्वर की ताड़ना से बचा लिया। साथ ही अय्यूब भी अपनी धार्मिकता और निर्दोष होने के विषय भ्रम में पड़ा रहा और शैतान ने उसे भी अपनी युक्ति से स्व-धार्मिकता के पाप में उलझाए रखा। उसे इस बात का एहसास तब हुआ जब उसका सामना परमेश्वर और उसकी बातों - परमेश्वर के वचन से हुआ। तब वह अपने भ्रम, शैतान की युक्ति को पहचानने पाया, और पश्चाताप तथा क्षमा याचना के द्वारा परमेश्वर से अपने संबंध सही किए, अपनी आशीषों को बहाल किया।
यह घटना न केवल हमें शैतान द्वारा भ्रम और युक्तियों में फँसाने का उदाहरण देती है, वरन साथ ही एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य भी हमारे सामने रखती है - हम परमेश्वर और उसके वचन को हल्के में नहीं ले सकते हैं, अपनी बुद्धि और समझ के अनुसार वचन के चाहे जैसे अर्थ और अभिप्राय निकालकर सिखा, प्रचार, और प्रयोग नहीं कर सकते हैं। ऐसा करने वालों के लिए जवाबदेही और भयानक ताड़ना सामने रखी है। परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने यहेजकेल नबी के द्वारा परमेश्वर की प्रजा इस्राएल के अगुवों को चिताया कि जो भी अपनी पूर्व-धारणाओं और अपने मन में कुछ बातें बैठाए हुए परमेश्वर के नाम का औपचारिकता के लिए प्रयोग करना चाहेगा, किन्तु सच्चे मन से परमेश्वर के प्रति समर्पित और आज्ञाकारी नहीं होगा, उसे परमेश्वर से दण्ड का सामना करना पड़ेगा, और कोई भी उन्हें परमेश्वर के हाथों से बचाने न पाएगा (यहेजकेल 14:1-14)। इसीलिए प्रेरित पौलुस में होकर पवित्र आत्मा ने मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए लिखवाया है, “कि शैतान का हम पर दांव न चले, क्योंकि हम उस की युक्तियों से अनजान नहीं” (2 कुरिन्थियों 2:11); अर्थात, हम शैतान की युक्तियों से तब ही बच कर रह सकते हैं जब हम उसकी कार्यविधि और विभिन्न युक्तियों और भ्रम की बातों से अवगत होंगे। और यह तब ही होने पाएगा, जब हम परमेश्वर के वचन में दृढ़ और स्थापित तथा उसके आज्ञाकारी होंगे।
यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है कि आप सचेत होकर, अपने मसीही विश्वास और मसीही गवाही के जीवन को बारीकी से जाँच कर देख लें कि कहीं आप भी अय्यूब के मित्रों के समान, अनजाने में ही शैतान के भ्रम और युक्ति का शिकार तो नहीं हो गए हैं? कहीं आप अपने आप को सही और ठीक मानते, समझते रहें; किन्तु परमेश्वर के वचन के स्थान पर अपनी या अन्य किसी मनुष्य, मत, समुदाय, डिनॉमिनेशन, अथवा संस्था की मानवीय बुद्धि के अनुसार बातों को ही मानते रह जाएं, और अंत में अपने आप को भयानक तथा अपरिवर्तनीय हानि में पड़े हुए पाएं। अभी समय रहते प्रभु यीशु मसीह के सहारे, अपनी गलती और दशा को सुधार लें; हानि से निकलकर प्रभु द्वारा आशीष में आ जाएं।
यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Prone to Satanic Tricks & Deceptions
In the previous articles we have seen that when Christian Believers, instead of trusting God to provide for their needs, trust upon themselves, their wisdom, and their efforts and therefore, start living and working not according to God’s guidance but according to their own or other people's evaluation and understanding, then instead of steadfastly continuing in the four pillars of Christian Life given in Acts 2:42, they gradually turn to steadfastly being involved in and continuing in their labors and efforts to acquire worldly status, positions, and things. Consequently, their spiritual life starts becoming weak, they are no longer able to progress in their Christian life, and stop growing towards maturity, remaining spiritually immature. The Church made up of immature Christian Believers is also an immature Church. We have already seen the qualities and characteristics of this immaturity. In the previous article, from Ephesians 4:14, we also saw consequences of immaturity, one of which was that immature Believers either very easily and repeatedly keep falling for the various wrong doctrines and false teachings of men related to Christian doctrines and teachings, or remain entangled in them. We had also seen that the way to escape, or be delivered from this is by growing in God’s Word, becoming and remaining firmly established in the right teachings of God’s Word, and accepting everything taught only after counter-checking and verifying it from God’s Word, not otherwise, whoever may have preached or taught it.
Today, from Ephesians 4:14, we will consider another harmful effect of being spiritually immature - unable to stand up to the trickeries and deceptions. A deception is when something that seems to be right but actually is false; and it is cleverly, in a misleading manner, presented as the truth. Similarly, a trick is when in a clever manner, something is made to appear to be different from what it actually is. Therefore, in our present context, "being carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men" implies to present something false as the truth, or claim that it is true, i.e., thing trickeries and deceptions related to God’s Word are played upon the gullible Christian Believers by drawing them into wrong doctrines and false teachings. These false teachings are presented to them as facts and truth, thereby beguiling them into the corrupt and destructive ways of Satan. Satan does this so subtly and cleverly, that quite often even a child of God is unable to realize this is happening to him, and by the time he realizes it, a lot of damage has already happened.
A good example of this is the debate amongst Job and his friends who had come to comfort him, and it was eventually God who said that Job was right while the friends were wrong in their arguments. Very briefly, after coming to know of the severe tragedies that their friend Job had suffered, his friends came to meet and comfort him (Job 2:11-13). But in their discussions with him, they repeatedly continued to emphasize upon Job that he must have done something wrong, committed some sin, because of which God became angry with him and sent this punishment on him (Job 4:7-9). In their arguments, the friends kept on trying to justify God, show Him as a just and true judge, and tried to show Job as having done something very wrong, because of which God’s retribution has come upon him. Whereas Job continued to defend himself and kept telling them that he was blameless, had done nothing of the kind to deserve such chastisement from God. Eventually, the friends, unable to convince Job and make him confess any guilt, become quiet; and Job appeals to God, cries out to Him for justice. When God starts talking to Job, he comes to realize his actual condition before God, realizes he is a sinner, repents of his sins, and asks for God’s forgiveness (Job 40:2-5; 42:1-6). Not only does God forgive him, but also gives him twice as much as he had lost.
For our discussion here, what God says, after forgiving Job, that is interesting and very important, “And so it was, after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has. Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him, lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has." So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the Lord commanded them; for the Lord had accepted Job. And the Lord restored Job's losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before (Job 42:7-10). In most of the book of Job, these friends of Job had been calling God right and Job guilty, were talking in favor of God, but they never realized how and when Satan had turned them into speaking wrongly about God, while apparently speaking in favor of God!
They were deceived into thinking that they were speaking favorably towards God; but this was an illusion, Satan, through his trickery had somehow turned them away from speaking the right things about God. Without knowing and understanding, without listening to and paying attention to what Job was saying, they went ahead and said so much that was contrary to God, that God was ready to severely chastise them for it. God left it to Job to mediate on behalf of his friends and ask for their being forgiven; or to let God punish them. Job did intercede on behalf of his friends, asked God to forgive them, and saved them from God’s chastisement. We also see that Job too had fallen for the satanic deception of considering himself to be blameless and righteous, and Satan kept him entangled in this deception of being righteous by his own works. Job realized his actual condition only once God started talking to him, i.e., once he was confronted by God’s Word. It was only then that he was able to realize and discern the satanic deception and trickery; he then repented, asked God’s forgiveness, and set right his relationship with God, and his blessings were restored.
This incident not only provides us with an example of satanic deceptions and trickeries, but also places a very important fact before us - we cannot ever take God and His Word lightly, cannot use them according to our own wisdom and understanding. Those who, according to their own thinking and understanding build up, then preach and teach their own concepts about God and His ways, will have to face a very serious evaluation, and its chastisement from God. God, through His prophet Ezekiel, cautioned the elders of His people, who having preconceived notions and having taken their own decisions, perfunctorily had come to “enquire from God” as a mere external show. But God told them through Ezekiel that whoever having predetermined thoughts and ideas, and already having taken his decisions, wants to use God and His Word perfunctorily; is not sincere, obedient, and committed towards God, will have to face God’s punishment and no one will be able to deliver him from God’s hands (Ezekiel 14:1-14). That is why, through the Apostle Paul, God the Holy Spirit has had it written, “lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices” (2 Corinthians 2:11). In other words, we can remain safe and secure from the deceptions and trickeries of Satan when we educate ourselves about his ways, his methods, and the various tricks and deceptions he uses. And, this can only happen when we are firmly established in the truths and factual teachings of God’s Word.
If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very important for you to carefully evaluate and examine your life of Christian Faith and Christian living in light of God’s word; lest somehow, like the friends of Job, you too might have fallen prey to Satan’s deception and tricks. It may be that you keep considering yourself to be righteous and correct by your own understanding; but actually, instead of obeying God and His Word, you are obeying the teachings of some man-made group, sect, or denomination. Later, by the time you come to realize the truth it is too late to turn back and rectify the situation, and you end up in an irretrievably disastrous condition. Right now, while you have the time and opportunity, through the help of the Lord Jesus, rectify your mistake and your condition, and come out from harm into blessings.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
