व्यावहारिक निहितार्थ – 4 

परमेश्वर की कलीसिया के अंग होने और परमेश्वर की अन्य सन्तानों के साथ सहभागिता में रखे जाने के कारण, प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे दिए गए इन प्रावधानों का भण्डारी भी है। परमेश्वर ने ये प्रावधान उसे इसलिए उपलब्ध करवाए हैं कि वह योग्य रीति से अपने मसीही जीवन को जी सके और परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई सेवकाई को पूरा कर सके। परमेश्वर के प्रावधान का भण्डारी होने, अर्थात जिस कलीसिया या मण्डली में परमेश्वर ने उसे रखा है, वहाँ परमेश्वर का भण्डारी होने के नाते, उसे प्रयास करने चाहिए कि वह उस कलीसिया या मण्डली के ठीक से कार्य करते रहने में सहायक बना रहे। इन व्यावहारिक निहितार्थों के आरंभिक लेख में हमने देखा था कि ऐसा करने का एक तरीका है कलीसिया में कोई भी दल या गुट बनाने वाली और विभाजन लाने वाली सभी बातों से विश्वासी को दूर रहना चाहिए, और ऐसी प्रत्येक प्रवृत्ति के उठने या उसके आगे बढ़ने को रोकना चाहिए। आज हम इसी से सम्बन्धित एक और बात पर ध्यान देंगे, जो है कलीसिया की बढ़ोतरी होने के प्रति विश्वासी की ज़िम्मेदारी, और फिर अगले लेख में हम उन कुछ मुख्य कारणों को देखेंगे जो कलीसिया की बढ़ोतरी में बाधा बनते हैं।

परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल हमें सिखाती है कि उन्नति या बढ़ोतरी होते रहना मसीही विश्वासी का एक गुण होना चाहिए; वे किसी एक स्थान पर आकर कभी रुक नहीं सकते हैं (भजन 92:12-14)। पवित्र आत्मा पौलुस में होकर, इफिसियों 4:15 में विश्वासियों से कहता है कि सब बातों में मसीह में बढ़ते चले जाएँ। बाइबल में शारीरिक बढ़ोतरी के सभी चरणों को रूपक के समान आत्मिक बढ़ोतरी के लिए भी उपयोग किया गया है। प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी एक नए जन्मे हुए शिशु के समान नया-जन्म लेता है, और फिर परमेश्वर के वचन के निर्मल आत्मिक दूध के द्वारा बढ़ना आरंभ करता है (1 पतरस 2:1-2)। नए जन्मे हुए शिशु से फिर वह बाल्यावस्था में आता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:1), फिर बालक होने से जवान, और फिर पिता होने तक पहुंचता है (1 यूहन्ना 2:12-13)। इसी दौरान, किसी स्तर पर उससे अपेक्षा रखी जाती है कि वह औरों को भी परमेश्वर का वचन सिखाने लायक परिपक्व हो जाएगा (इब्रानियों 5:12)।

इसी प्रकार से कलीसिया भी एक क्रियाशील संरचना है, क्योंकि वह अभी भी निर्माणाधीन है (1 पतरस 2:5)। पौलुस में होकर पवित्र आत्मा इफिसियों 2:21 में कहता है कि सारी रचना एक साथ मिल कर प्रभु में एक पवित्र मन्दिर बनती चली जा रही है। यह बढ़ोतरी या उन्नति प्रभु के आने तक दो कारणों से चलती ही रहेगी। पहला कारण है कि इस मन्दिर, प्रभु की कलीसिया का प्रत्येक अंग, जब तक कि वह इस पृथ्वी पर है, जैसा कि हमने ऊपर देखा है, आत्मिकता में बढ़ता और परिपक्व होता चला जाएगा; इसलिए कलीसिया भी, जिसका वह अंग है, आत्मिक रीति से क्रियाशील रहेगी, बढ़ती और परिपक्व होती रहेगी। दूसरी बात, प्रभु की कलीसिया में नए विश्वासी तब तक जोड़े जाते रहेंगे जब तक कि प्रभु के आगमन से पहले अंतिम न जोड़ दिया जाए। इसलिए दोनों कारणों से कलीसिया एक गतिशील संरचना रहेगी, निरन्तर सँख्या एवं गुणवत्ता में – गिनती तथा आत्मिकता में, बढ़ती चली जाएगी, कभी किसी स्थान पर आकर रुक नहीं जाएगी।

यह मसीही विश्वासियों को, कलीसिया के प्रत्येक अंग को, परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई ज़िम्मेदारी है और उनके परमेश्वर की कलीसिया का भण्डारी होने का एक भाग है कि जिस स्थानीय कलीसिया में परमेश्वर ने उन्हें रखा है, उसकी उन्नति एवं बढ़ोतरी में योगदान करें; और यह उनके जीवन भर एक निरन्तर चलती रहने वाली बात होनी चाहिए। कलीसिया या मण्डली की यह बढ़ोतरी उसके सदस्यों की संख्या में, अर्थात, स्थानीय कलीसियाओं में नया-जन्म पाए हुए नए लोगों के जोड़े चले जाने, और साथ ही गुणवत्ता में, उन लोगों के आत्मिक स्तर में बढ़ते जाने के द्वारा दिखनी चाहिए; सदस्यों को अपनी सेवकाई में लगे रहना चाहिए, और प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी बने रहना चाहिए।

कलीसिया की बढ़ोतरी और उन्नति परमेश्वर की ओर से होती है (कुलुस्सियों 2:19); और परमेश्वर की आशीषें उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में बने रहने से आती हैं। इसलिए, परमेश्वर से यह बढ़ोतरी तब आएगी जब प्रत्येक अंग, अर्थात प्रत्येक सदस्य, अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी को निभाएगा (इफिसियों 4:16)। प्रत्येक के द्वारा उनकी निज ज़िम्मेदारी का निर्वाह और परमेश्वर द्वारा सौंपी गई सेवकाई को योग्य रीति से करना, व्यक्तिगत रूप में उस सदस्य पर तथा सामूहिक रूप में कलीसिया पर परमेश्वर की आशीष को लाता है, और उस सदस्य की तथा देह, अर्थात कलीसिया की बढ़ोतरी होती है।

यदि कोई कलीसिया या मण्डली बढ़ नहीं रही है, या उसमें पर्याप्त उन्नति एवं बढ़ोतरी नहीं है, तो इसका अर्थ है कि उसके अंग, उसके सदस्य, अपनी जिम्मेदारियों को, अपनी सेवकाइयों को सही रीति से पूरा नहीं कर रहे हैं, और उनके मसीही जीवनों में कुछ गंभीर गड़बड़ी है। बढ़ोतरी में यह घटी विश्वासियों के जीवनों में कुछ कमियों के कारण हो सकती है, जिसे हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, तथा प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Church Stewardship - Practical Implications – 4

 

As members of God’s Church and having been placed in fellowship with God’s children, every Christian Believer is also God’s steward of these God given provisions. These provisions have been made available to him by God for worthily living his Christian life and fulfilling his God assigned ministry. As a steward of God’s provision, namely, being a steward of the Church where God has made him a member and placed him, he must make efforts to help in the proper functioning of the Church or Assembly. In the initial article on these practical implications, we have seen that one way of doing this is to stay away from all things that lead to factionalism and divisions in the Church, and try to stop any such tendency from occurring or developing any further. Today we will start looking at another related aspect, i.e. the Believer’s responsibility for the growth of the Church, and in the next article we will look at some main reasons that obstruct the growth of the Church.

God’s Word the Bible teaches us that growth must be a characteristic of the Christian Believers; they cannot remain static at any point (Psalm 92:12-14). In Ephesians 4:15 the Holy Spirit through Paul says to the Believers to grow up in all things in the Lord Jesus. The Bible metaphorically mentions various stages of physical growth as stages of spiritual growth as well. Every Christian Believer is Born-Again as a spiritual infant; he feeds on the milk of God’s Word and grows thereby (1 Peter 2:1-2). From a new-born he grows up to be an infant (1 Corinthians 3:1), then to being a child, then a young person, going on to be a father (1 John 2:12-13). Somewhere along this process, it is expected of him to be mature enough to start teaching God’s Word to others also (Hebrews 5:12).

Similarly, the Church too is a dynamic structure, since it is still under construction (1 Peter 2:5). The Holy Spirit through Paul says in Ephesians 2:21 that the whole building being joined together grows into a holy temple in the Lord. This growth, for two reasons, will continue till the Lord comes. One is that every member of this temple, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, as we have seen above will continue to grow and mature spiritually, as long as he is on earth; therefore, the Church, of which he is a part will also remain dynamic and growing spiritually. Secondly, the Born-Again Believers will continue to be added to the Lord’s Church, till the last one is added before the Lord’s coming. Therefore, on both counts, the Church will remain a dynamic entity, continually growing in quantity as well as quality - numbers as well as spirituality, never static or stagnant at any point.

This is the God given responsibility of the Christian Believers, i.e., of every Church member, and it is a part of their stewardship towards the Church of God, to see that they all contribute towards the growth of the local Church where God has placed them; and this should be a continual process in their lives. This growth of the Church must be evident in its quantity, or, numbers - i.e., new saved Born-Again people being continually added to the local churches, as well as in quality - through the growth in spiritual status of the members; the members must remain involved in fulfilling their ministry, and being useful for the Lord.

The growth of the Church comes about because of the increase that comes from God (Colossians 2:19); and God’s blessings come by being obedient to Him. So, this increase from God will come about when every part, i.e., every member of the Church, does his share (Ephesians 4:16). The fulfilling of their respective responsibility and worthily carrying out their God assigned ministry by every individual member of the Church, leads to God’s blessings individually upon the members as well as collectively upon the Church, and causes the growth of the individual as well as of the whole body i.e., the Church.

If a Church is not growing, or not growing adequately, that means its members are not fulfilling their responsibilities and ministry, and that there is something seriously wrong in their Christian lives. This lack of growth can be due to deficiencies in various aspects in the lives of the Believers, which we will see in the next article.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

मनुष्यों की गलत शिक्षाओं और गलत सिद्धांतों से प्रभावित (2)

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा है कि सभी नया जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासियों को, परमेश्वर के वचन का नियमित और निरन्तर पोषण लेते रहने तथा परमेश्वर द्वारा उन्हें सौंपी गई ज़िम्मेदारियों के निर्वाह के द्वारा अपने आत्मिक जीवनों में बढ़ते रहना है। परमेश्वर के वचन ने निरन्तर और नियमित पोषण पाते रहने तथा बढ़ते रहने के द्वारा ही वे शैतान की कुटिल चालों और युक्तियों से सुरक्षित रहें पाएंगे। परन्तु दुर्भाग्यवश, अधिकाँश मसीही, नया-जन्म पा लेने के बाद, अपने मसीही जीवनों में और आगे बढ़ते नहीं हैं; और वे शैतान की युक्तियों में फँसते और गिरते रहते हैं। ऐसा इसलिए होता है क्योंकि वे परमेश्वर के वचन से नियमित और निरन्तर पोषण प्राप्त नहीं करते रहते हैं; वरन् उसके स्थान पर वे परमेश्वर तथा उसके वचन के साथ अपने समय बिताने की अनदेखी करते हुए, अपनी भौतिक आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति के लिए परमेश्वर पर नहीं परन्तु अपने ही परिश्रम और प्रयासों पर भरोसा करते हैं। आज हम इसी विषय पर थोड़ा और विचार करेंगे। 

वचन में ऐसे लोगों को जो विश्वासियों के जीवनों तथा कलीसियाओं में समस्याएं उत्पन्न करते हैं, ताड़ लेने और उन से दूर रहने के लिए कहा गया है, अब हे भाइयो, मैं तुम से बिनती करता हूं, कि जो लोग उस शिक्षा के विपरीत जो तुम ने पाई है, फूट पड़ने, और ठोकर खाने के कारण होते हैं, उन्हें ताड़ लिया करो; और उन से दूर रहो। क्योंकि ऐसे लोग हमारे प्रभु मसीह की नहीं, परन्तु अपने पेट की सेवा करते है; और चिकनी चुपड़ी बातों से सीधे सादे मन के लोगों को बहका देते हैं (रोमियों 16:17-18)। प्रेरित यूहन्ना ने भी अपने पाठकों को सचेत किया कि हे प्रियो, हर एक आत्मा की प्रतीति न करो: वरन आत्माओं को परखो, कि वे परमेश्वर की ओर से हैं कि नहीं; क्योंकि बहुत से झूठे भविष्यद्वक्ता जगत में निकल खड़े हुए हैं (1 यूहन्ना 4:1), और इससे आगे के पदों में वह बताता है कि सही और गलत आत्माओं को कैसे पहचाना जा सकता है। यह पहचान करना इसलिए अनिवार्य है क्योंकि ये लोग अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई की बातों से प्रभु यीशु मसीह के सुसमाचार को बिगाड़ कर प्रस्तुत करते हैं, उसमें मिलावट करके उसे भ्रष्ट और अप्रभावी कर देते हैं, इसलिए पौलुस प्रेरित में होकर परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ऐसा करने वालों को “श्रापित” कहता है, मुझे आश्चर्य होता है, कि जिसने तुम्हें मसीह के अनुग्रह से बुलाया उस से तुम इतनी जल्दी फिर कर और ही प्रकार के सुसमाचार की ओर झुकने लगे। परन्तु वह दूसरा सुसमाचार है ही नहीं: पर बात यह है, कि कितने ऐसे हैं, जो तुम्हें घबरा देते, और मसीह के सुसमाचार को बिगाड़ना चाहते हैं। परन्तु यदि हम या स्वर्ग से कोई दूत भी उस सुसमाचार को छोड़ जो हम ने तुम को सुनाया है, कोई और सुसमाचार तुम्हें सुनाए, तो श्रापित हो (गलातियों 1:6-8)। वचन के इन हवालों से ध्यान कीजिए कि इन मनुष्यों की ठग विद्या और चतुराई, परमेश्वर के वचन की खराई और सच्चाई को बिगाड़ने, उसमें मानवीय बुद्धि और ज्ञान की बातों की मिलावट करने, के द्वारा कारगर होती है (1 कुरिन्थियों 1:17)। यदि मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर के वचन में स्थापित, तथा स्थिर और दृढ़ बना रहे, तो फिर न केवल वह परिपक्वता में बढ़ता जाएगा, वरन उसे बहकाना और फंसना सहज नहीं होगा।

इसीलिए अपरिपक्वता के इस दुष्प्रभाव से बचने तथा बाहर निकालने का उपाय भी वचन को सीखने और समझने हर एक पवित्रशास्‍त्र परमेश्वर की प्रेरणा से रचा गया है और उपदेश, और समझाने, और सुधारने, और धर्म की शिक्षा के लिये लाभदायक है। ताकि परमेश्वर का जन सिद्ध बने, और हर एक भले काम के लिये तत्‍पर हो जाए (2 तीमुथियुस 3:16-17); तथा सांसारिक बुद्धि और तत्व-ज्ञान के अनुसार नहीं अपितु वचन के अनुसार ही जीवन जीना है, यह मैं इसलिये कहता हूं, कि कोई मनुष्य तुम्हें लुभाने वाली बातों से धोखा न दे। सो जैसे तुम ने मसीह यीशु को प्रभु कर के ग्रहण कर लिया है, वैसे ही उसी में चलते रहो। और उसी में जड़ पकड़ते और बढ़ते जाओ; और जैसे तुम सिखाए गए वैसे ही विश्वास में दृढ़ होते जाओ, और अत्यन्‍त धन्यवाद करते रहो। चौकस रहो कि कोई तुम्हें उस तत्‍व-ज्ञान और व्यर्थ धोखे के द्वारा अहेर न करे ले, जो मनुष्यों के परम्पराई मत और संसार की आदि शिक्षा के अनुसार हैं, पर मसीह के अनुसार नहीं (कुलुस्सियों 2:4, 6-8)।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा निरंतर परिपक्वता में बढ़ते जाएं। साथ ही सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

In the previous article we have seen that all Born-Again Christian Believers are to grow in their spiritual lives by regularly and continually feeding on God's Word, and fulfilling the responsibilities God gives them to do. It is only by this continual feeding on God's Word and growth that they will be able to remain safe from the wiles and devious plots of the devil. But unfortunately, most Christians, after being Born-Again, fail to grow in their Christian lives, and keep falling for the devil's ploys. This happens because they fail to regularly feed themselves on God's Word and to trust Him to fulfill their needs; instead they neglect their time with God and His Word, for adopting worldly ways to meet their needs. Today we will consider this topic further.

God’s Word teaches us to identify such people who create problems in the lives of the Believers and the churches, and stay away from them, Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple (Romans 16:17-18). The Apostle John too cautioned his readers Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world (1 John 4:1), in the verses after this, he tells how to discern between the right and the wrong spirits. It is necessary to be able to do this because these deceivers by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness present the gospel of the Lord Jesus in a corrupted form by mixing up wrong and worldly things in it, and thereby render it ineffective. That is why, the Holy Spirit has called all such people who corrupt and alter the gospel as “cursed” I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed (Galatians 1:6-8). Take note from these Biblical references that this trickery, cunningness, and craftiness of men, succeeds in corrupting God’s Word and taking away its being truthful, because of bringing in and mixing human wisdom and thinking into God’s Word (1 Corinthians 1:17). If the Christian Believer stays firmly established and rooted in God’s Word, then not only will he grow in spiritual maturity, but it will also become difficult to beguile him and mislead him into wrong things.

Therefore, the way to be safe from this ill effect of immaturity, and come out of it is also by continually increasing in learning and understanding the Word of God All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17); and to live the life of Christian Faith, not according to worldly wisdom and philosophy, but according to the Word of God, Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ (Colossians 2:4, 6-8).

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is necessary for you to become spiritually mature by learning the right teachings of God’s Word. You should also always, like the Berean Believers first check and test all teachings you get from the Word of God, and only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

    परमेश्वर की कलीसिया के अंग होने और परमेश्वर की अन्य सन्तानों के साथ सहभागिता में रखे जाने के कारण, प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे दिए गए इन प्रावधानों का भण्डारी भी है। परमेश्वर ने ये प्रावधान उसे इसलिए उपलब्ध करवाए हैं कि वह योग्य रीति से अपने मसीही जीवन को जी सके और परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई सेवकाई को पूरा कर सके। परमेश्वर के प्रावधान का भण्डारी होने, अर्थात जिस कलीसिया या मण्डली में परमेश्वर ने उसे रखा है, वहाँ परमेश्वर का भण्डारी होने के नाते, उसे प्रयास करने चाहिए कि वह उस कलीसिया या मण्डली के ठीक से कार्य करते रहने में सहायक बना रहे। इन व्यावहारिक निहितार्थों के आरंभिक लेख में हमने देखा था कि ऐसा करने का एक तरीका है कलीसिया में कोई भी दल या गुट बनाने वाली और विभाजन लाने वाली सभी बातों से विश्वासी को दूर रहना चाहिए, और ऐसी प्रत्येक प्रवृत्ति के उठने या उसके आगे बढ़ने को रोकना चाहिए। आज हम इसी से सम्बन्धित एक और बात पर ध्यान देंगे, अर्थात कलीसिया की बढ़ोतरी होने के प्रति विश्वासी की ज़िम्मेदारी, और फिर अगले लेख में हम उन कुछ मुख्य कारणों को देखेंगे जो कलीसिया की बढ़ोतरी में बाधा बनते हैं।

    परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल हमें सिखाती है कि उन्नति या बढ़ोतरी होते रहना मसीही विश्वासी का एक गुण होना चाहिए; वे किसी एक स्थान पर आकर कभी रुक नहीं सकते हैं (भजन 92:12-14)। पवित्र आत्मा पौलुस में होकर, इफिसियों 4:15 में विश्वासियों से कहता है कि सब बातों में मसीह में बढ़ते चले जाएँ। बाइबल में शारीरिक बढ़ोतरी के सभी चरणों को रूपक के समान आत्मिक बढ़ोतरी के लिए भी उपयोग किया गया है। प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी एक नए जन्मे हुए शिशु के समान नया-जन्म लेता है, और फिर परमेश्वर के वचन के निर्मल आत्मिक दूध के द्वारा बढ़ना आरंभ करता है (1 पतरस 2:1-2)। नए जन्मे हुए शिशु से फिर वह बाल्यावस्था में आता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:1), फिर बालक होने से जवान, और फिर पिता होने तक पहुंचता है (1 यूहन्ना 2:12-13)। इसी दौरान, किसी स्तर पर उससे अपेक्षा रखी जाती है कि वह औरों को भी परमेश्वर का वचन सिखाने लायक परिपक्व हो जाएगा (इब्रानियों 5:12)।

    इसी प्रकार से कलीसिया भी एक क्रियाशील संरचना है, क्योंकि वह अभी भी निर्माणाधीन है (1 पतरस 2:5)। पौलुस में होकर पवित्र आत्मा इफिसियों 2:21 में कहता है कि सारी रचना एक साथ मिल कर प्रभु में एक पवित्र मन्दिर बनती चली जा रही है। यह बढ़ोतरी या उन्नति प्रभु के आने तक दो कारणों से चलती ही रहेगी। पहला कारण है कि इस मन्दिर, प्रभु की कलीसिया का प्रत्येक अंग, जब तक कि वह इस पृथ्वी पर है, जैसा कि हमने ऊपर देखा है, आत्मिकता में बढ़ता और परिपक्व होता चला जाता रहेगा, इसलिए कलीसिया भी, जिसका वह अंग है आत्मिक रीति से क्रियाशील रहेगी, बढ़ती और परिपक्व होती रहेगी। दूसरी बात, प्रभु की कलीसिया में नए विश्वासी तब तक जोड़े जाते रहेंगे जब तक कि प्रभु के आगमन से पहले अंतिम न जोड़ दिया जाए। इसलिए दोनों कारणों से कलीसिया एक गतिशील संरचना रहेगी, निरन्तर सँख्या एवं गुणवत्ता में – गिनती तथा आत्मिकता में बढ़ती चली जाएगी, कभी किसी स्थान पर आकर रुक नहीं जाएगी।

    यह मसीही विश्वासियों को, कलीसिया के प्रत्येक अंग को, परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई ज़िम्मेदारी है और उनके परमेश्वर की कलीसिया का भण्डारी होने का एक भाग है कि जिस स्थानीय कलीसिया में परमेश्वर ने उन्हें रखा है, उसकी उन्नति एवं बढ़ोतरी में योगदान करें, और यह उनके जीवन भर एक निरन्तर चलती रहने वाली बात होनी चाहिए। कलीसिया या मण्डली की यह बढ़ोतरी उसके सदस्यों की संख्या में, अर्थात, स्थानीय कलीसियाओं में नया-जन्म पाए हुए नए लोगों के जोड़े चले जाने, और साथ ही गुणवत्ता में, उन लोगों के आत्मिक स्तर में बढ़ते जाने के द्वारा दिखनी चाहिए; सदस्यों को अपनी सेवकाई में लगे रहना चाहिए, और प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी बने रहना चाहिए।

    कलीसिया की बढ़ोतरी और उन्नति परमेश्वर की ओर से होती है (कुलुस्सियों 2:19), और परमेश्वर की आशीषें उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में बने रहने से आती हैं। इसलिए, परमेश्वर से यह बढ़ोतरी तब आएगी जब प्रत्येक अंग, अर्थात प्रत्येक सदस्य, अपनी ज़िम्मेदारी को निभाएगा (इफिसियों 4:16)। प्रत्येक के द्वारा उनकी निज ज़िम्मेदारी का निर्वाह और परमेश्वर द्वारा सौंपी गई सेवकाई को योग्य रीति से करना, व्यक्तिगत रूप में उस सदस्य पर तथा सामूहिक रूप में कलीसिया पर परमेश्वर की आशीष को लाता है, और उस सदस्य की तथा देह, अर्थात कलीसिया की बढ़ोतरी होती है।

    यदि कोई कलीसिया या मण्डली बढ़ नहीं रही है, या उसमें पर्याप्त उन्नति एवं बढ़ोतरी नहीं है, तो इसका अर्थ है कि उसके अंग, उसके सदस्य, अपनी जिम्मेदारियों को, अपनी सेवकाइयों को सही रीति से पूरा नहीं कर रहे हैं, और उनके मसीही जीवनों में कुछ गंभीर गड़बड़ी है। बढ़ोतरी में यह घटी विश्वासियों के जीवनों में कुछ कमियों के कारण हो सकती है, जिसे हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Practical Implications – 4

    As members of God’s Church and having being placed in fellowship with God’s children, every Christian Believer is also God’s steward of these God given provisions. These provisions have been made available to him by God for worthily living his Christian life and fulfilling his God assigned ministry. As a steward of God’s provision, namely, being a steward of the Church where God has made him a member and placed him, he must make efforts to help in the proper functioning of the Church or Assembly. In the initial article on these practical implications, we have seen that one way of doing this is to stay away from all things that lead to factionalism and divisions in the Church, and try to stop any such tendency from occurring or developing any further. Today we will start looking at another related aspect, i.e. the Believer’s responsibility for the growth of the Church, and in the next article we will look at some main reasons that obstruct the growth of the Church.

    God’s Word the Bible teaches us that growth must be a characteristic of the Christian Believers; they cannot remain static at any point (Psalm 92:12-14). In Ephesians 4:15 the Holy Spirit through Paul says to the Believers to grow up in all things in the Lord Jesus. The Bible metaphorically mentions various stages of physical growth as stages of spiritual growth as well. Every Christian Believer is Born-Again as a spiritual infant, he feeds on the milk of God’s Word and grows thereby (1 Peter 2:1-2). From a new-born he grows up to be an infant (1 Corinthians 3:1), then to being a child, then a young person, going on to be a father (1 John 2:12-13). Somewhere along this process, it is expected of him to be mature enough to start teaching God’s Word to others also (Hebrews 5:12).

    Similarly, the Church too is a dynamic structure, since it is still under construction (1 Peter 2:5). The Holy Spirit through Paul says in Ephesians 2:21 that the whole building being joined together grows into a holy temple in the Lord. This growth will continue till the Lord comes, for two reasons. One is that every member of this temple, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, as we have seen above will continue to grow and mature spiritually, as long as he is on earth, therefore, the Church, of which he is a part will also remain dynamic and growing spiritually. Secondly, the Born-Again Believers will continue to be added to the Lord’s Church, till the last one is added before the Lord’s coming. Therefore, on both counts, the Church will remain a dynamic entity, continually growing in quantity as well as quality - numbers as well as spirituality, never static or stagnant at any point.

This is the God given responsibility of the Christian Believers, of every Church member, and it is a part of their stewardship towards the Church of God, to see that they all contribute towards the growth of the local Church where God has placed them, and this should be a continual process in their lives. This growth of the Church must be evident in its quantity, or, numbers - i.e., new saved Born-Again people being added to the local churches, as well as in quality through the growth in spiritual status of the members; the members must remain involved in fulfilling their ministry, and being useful for the Lord.

    The growth of the Church comes about because of the increase that comes from God (Colossians 2:19), and God’s blessings come with being obedient to Him. So, this increase from God will come about when every part, i.e., every member of the Church, does his share (Ephesians 4:16). The fulfilling of their respective responsibility and worthily carrying out their God assigned ministry by every individual member of the Church, leads to God’s blessings individually upon the members as well as collectively upon the Church, and causes the growth of the individual as well as of the whole body i.e., the Church.

    If a Church is not growing, or not growing adequately, that means its members are not fulfilling their responsibilities and ministry, and that there is something seriously wrong in their Christian lives. This lack of growth can be due to deficiencies in various aspects in the lives of the Believers, which we will see in the next article.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

मनुष्यों की गलत शिक्षाओं और गलत सिद्धांतों से प्रभावित

प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी, केवल नया जन्म लेने - शारीरिक से आत्मिक जीवन में जन्म लेने के द्वारा ही प्रभु यीशु का विश्वासी जन, उसका शिष्य बन सकता है। मसीही विश्वास में आने से पूर्व वह चाहे किसी भी पृष्ठभूमि, परिवार, धर्म, मान्यता, आदि में से मसीह में आया हो, चाहे वह और उसका परिवार ईसाई धर्म का ही पालन क्यों न करते रहे हों, सभी के लिए, ईसाई धर्म के मानने वालों के लिए भी, नया जन्म लेना वैकल्पिक नहीं, अनिवार्य है। बिना यह नया जन्म प्राप्त किए, कोई भी न तो परमेश्वर के राज्य को देख सकता है, और न उस में प्रवेश कर सकता है; क्योंकि शरीर से जन्मा मनुष्य नश्वर शरीर ही है, और आत्मा से जन्मा मनुष्य ही आत्मा के समान अविनाशी बन सकता है (यूहन्ना 3:1-7)। यह नया जन्म पाना, व्यक्ति के द्वारा किसी भी धर्म के धार्मिक रीति-रिवाज़ों, अनुष्ठानों, परंपराओं, विधि-विधानों, और प्रथाओं की पूर्ति के द्वारा नहीं होता है। नया जन्म पाने के लिए हर व्यक्ति को स्वेच्छा से अपने स्वयं के पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करना, और प्रभु यीशु मसीह में विश्वास लाकर, उससे अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित करना होता है, और प्रभु यीशु की आज्ञाकारिता में बने रहने का निर्णय लेना होता है (प्रेरितों 17:30-31; यूहन्ना 1:12-13; रोमियों 10:9-10)।

 

यह नया जन्म पाते ही वह व्यक्ति आत्मिक शिशु-अवस्था में आत्मिक जन्म ले लेता है, जिसमें उसके पोषण और बढ़ोतरी के लिए उसे अपने पुराने स्वभाव और बातों को छोड़कर, निर्मल आत्मिक दूध, अर्थात परमेश्वर के वचन को आत्मिक आहार के समान निरंतर लेते, यानि कि पढ़ते और पालन करते रहना (1 पतरस 2:1-2), तथा मसीही जीवन के स्तंभ - प्रेरितों 2:42 की चारों बातों में लौलीन रहना होता है। इस आत्मिक भरण-पोषण के द्वारा व्यक्ति आत्मिक शिशु अवस्था से निकल कर आत्मिक बालक-अवस्था में आ जाता है, जहाँ से आगे बढ़ने के लिए उसे परमेश्वर के साथ अपने संबंधों और प्रभु परमेश्वर के प्रति अपने विश्वास को व्यावहारिक जीवन में जी कर दिखाने के विषय स्वेच्छा से कुछ निर्णय लेने होते हैं। यह व्यक्ति के आत्मिक जीवन में आगे बढ़ पाने, या फिर उसी स्तर पर रुके रह जाने के निर्णय के लिए परीक्षा की घड़ी होती है, और अधिकांश मसीही विश्वासी यहाँ आकर फेल हो जाते हैं, अटक जाते हैं, क्योंकि वे मसीह यीशु और परमेश्वर में विश्वास के अपने सभी दावों के बावजूद, मत्ती 6:25-34 में प्रभु यीशु द्वारा दिए गए परमेश्वर की देखभाल और पूर्ति की वायदों पर पूरा भरोसा नहीं रखने पाते हैं। वे भी संसार के अन्य लोगों के समान अपने ही परिश्रम और प्रयासों पर अधिक भरोसा रखते हैं, और इस परिश्रम तथा प्रयासों के जीवन को जीते हुए, धीरे-धीरे समय के अभाव के कारण मसीही संगति, वचन के अध्ययन, प्रार्थना में समय बिताने, और प्रभु भोज, अर्थात मसीही जीवन के चार स्तंभों में लौलीन होकर भाग लेते रहने में पिछड़ जाते हैं, आत्मिक जीवन में कमजोर हो जाते हैं। समझ और विश्वास में इस प्रकार बालक बने रहना परमेश्वर के वचन के विरुद्ध है, “हे भाइयो, तुम समझ में बालक न बनो: तौभी बुराई में तो बालक रहो, परन्तु समझ में सयाने बनो” (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:20)। उनकी इस अपरिपक्वता तथा मसीही बालक-अवस्था में अटके रह जाने के कारणों को और उनके जीवनों में दिखने वाले इस अपरिपक्वता के लक्षण हम पिछले दो लेखों में इफिसियों 4:14 से देख चुके हैं।

मसीही विश्वास और जीवन में अपरिपक्वता के कारण बालक-अवस्था में अटके रह जाने के अतिरिक्त, इफिसियों 4:14 अपरिपक्वता के अन्य दुष्प्रभाव भी बताता है। अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों में देखे जाने वाले ये दुष्प्रभाव हैं कि ये लोग, मनुष्यों की ठग-विद्या और चतुराई में बारंबार फँसते या फिर फंसे हुए ही रहते हैं; लोगों की भ्रम की युक्तियों का शिकार होते रहते हैं, उनसे धोखा खाते रहते हैं; और मनुष्यों के भ्रामक उपदेश से बड़ी सरलता से उछाले, और इधर-उधर घुमाए जाते हैं, अर्थात वचन और विश्वास की बातों में स्थिर और दृढ़ बने रहने की बजाए, इन्हें सरलता से कभी एक बात मानने और कभी कोई अन्य बात मानने के लिए इधर से उधर बहकाया भटकाया जा सकता है।

 

ध्यान कीजिए, अदन की वाटिका में आदम और हव्वा से पहला पाप करवाने के लिए सर्प रूपी शैतान ने इसी ठग-विद्या और चतुराई का प्रयोग किया था। उसने हव्वा के मन में उनके प्रति परमेश्वर के प्रेम, और उनके लिए परमेश्वर की योजनाओं के भले होने के विषय संदेह उत्पन्न किया, हव्वा को परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता के लिए उकसाया, और हव्वा ने शैतान की ठग-विद्या और चतुराई में फंस कर परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता कर दी, पाप में गिर और फंस गई। इसीलिए पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस द्वारा लिखवाया है “परन्तु मैं डरता हूं कि जैसे सांप ने अपनी चतुराई से हव्‍वा को बहकाया, वैसे ही तुम्हारे मन उस सिधाई और पवित्रता से जो मसीह के साथ होनी चाहिए कहीं भ्रष्‍ट न किए जाएं” जैसा कि झूठी प्रेरित करते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3, 13-15)। प्रभु यीशु ने भी अंत के दिनों के चिह्नों में से एक यही बताया था कि बहुत से भरमाने वाले आएंगे (मत्ती 24:5, 11)। पौलुस ने अपनी सेवकाई के विषय में, उसके द्वारा प्रचार किए जाने वाले वचन में उसके खराई से बने रहने का स्मरण दिलाया (2 कुरिन्थियों 2:17; 4:2; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 2:3-5)। साथ ही पौलुस ने यह भी चिताया कि ये भरमाने और भटकाने वाले लोग मण्डलियों के अंदर से, वर्तमान सदस्यों में से भी निकलकर आ सकते हैं, और आएंगे (प्रेरितों 20:30)।

 

वचन में ऐसे लोगों को ताड़ लेने और उन से दूर रहने के लिए कहा गया है, “अब हे भाइयो, मैं तुम से बिनती करता हूं, कि जो लोग उस शिक्षा के विपरीत जो तुम ने पाई है, फूट पड़ने, और ठोकर खाने के कारण होते हैं, उन्हें ताड़ लिया करो; और उन से दूर रहो। क्योंकि ऐसे लोग हमारे प्रभु मसीह की नहीं, परन्तु अपने पेट की सेवा करते है; और चिकनी चुपड़ी बातों से सीधे सादे मन के लोगों को बहका देते हैं” (रोमियों 16:17-18)। प्रेरित यूहन्ना ने भी अपने पाठकों को सचेत किया कि “हे प्रियो, हर एक आत्मा की प्रतीति न करो: वरन आत्माओं को परखो, कि वे परमेश्वर की ओर से हैं कि नहीं; क्योंकि बहुत से झूठे भविष्यद्वक्ता जगत में निकल खड़े हुए हैं” (1 यूहन्ना 4:1), और इससे आगे के पदों में वह बताता है कि सही और गलत आत्माओं को कैसे पहचाना जा सकता है। यह पहचान करना इसलिए अनिवार्य है क्योंकि ये लोग अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई की बातों से प्रभु यीशु मसीह के सुसमाचार को बिगाड़ कर प्रस्तुत करते हैं, उसमें मिलावट करके उसे भ्रष्ट और अप्रभावी कर देते हैं, इसलिए पौलुस प्रेरित में होकर परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ऐसा करने वालों को “श्रापित” कहता है, “मुझे आश्चर्य होता है, कि जिसने तुम्हें मसीह के अनुग्रह से बुलाया उस से तुम इतनी जल्दी फिर कर और ही प्रकार के सुसमाचार की ओर झुकने लगे। परन्तु वह दूसरा सुसमाचार है ही नहीं: पर बात यह है, कि कितने ऐसे हैं, जो तुम्हें घबरा देते, और मसीह के सुसमाचार को बिगाड़ना चाहते हैं। परन्तु यदि हम या स्वर्ग से कोई दूत भी उस सुसमाचार को छोड़ जो हम ने तुम को सुनाया है, कोई और सुसमाचार तुम्हें सुनाए, तो श्रापित हो” (गलातियों 1:6-8)। वचन के इन हवालों से ध्यान कीजिए कि इन मनुष्यों की ठग विद्या और चतुराई, परमेश्वर के वचन की खराई और सच्चाई को बिगाड़ने, उसमें मानवीय बुद्धि और ज्ञान की बातों की मिलावट करने, के द्वारा कारगर होती है (1 कुरिन्थियों 1:17)। यदि मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर के वचन में स्थापित, तथा स्थिर और दृढ़ बना रहे, तो फिर न केवल वह परिपक्वता में बढ़ता जाएगा, वरन उसे बहकाना और फंसना सहज नहीं होगा।

इसीलिए अपरिपक्वता के इस दुष्प्रभाव से बचने तथा बाहर निकालने का उपाय भी वचन को सीखने और समझने “हर एक पवित्र शास्‍त्र परमेश्वर की प्रेरणा से रचा गया है और उपदेश, और समझाने, और सुधारने, और धर्म की शिक्षा के लिये लाभदायक है। ताकि परमेश्वर का जन सिद्ध बने, और हर एक भले काम के लिये तत्‍पर हो जाए” (2 तीमुथियुस 3:16-17); तथा सांसारिक बुद्धि और तत्व-ज्ञान के अनुसार नहीं अपितु वचन के अनुसार ही जीवन जीना है, “यह मैं इसलिये कहता हूं, कि कोई मनुष्य तुम्हें लुभाने वाली बातों से धोखा न दे। सो जैसे तुम ने मसीह यीशु को प्रभु कर के ग्रहण कर लिया है, वैसे ही उसी में चलते रहो। और उसी में जड़ पकड़ते और बढ़ते जाओ; और जैसे तुम सिखाए गए वैसे ही विश्वास में दृढ़ होते जाओ, और अत्यन्‍त धन्यवाद करते रहो। चौकस रहो कि कोई तुम्हें उस तत्‍व-ज्ञान और व्यर्थ धोखे के द्वारा अहेर न करे ले, जो मनुष्यों के परम्पराई मत और संसार की आदि शिक्षा के अनुसार हैं, पर मसीह के अनुसार नहीं” (कुलुस्सियों 2:4, 6-8)।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा निरंतर परिपक्वता में बढ़ते जाएं। साथ ही सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।

  

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

English Translation

Prone to Wrong Doctrines and False Teachings of Men

A person can become a Christian Believer, the Disciple of Christ, His faithful follower only by being Born-Again - from the physical into the spiritual life. He may have come into the Christian Faith from any background, family, religion, belief, etc.; and even though he and his family may have been practicing the Christian religion, nevertheless, being Born-Again is mandatory for everyone, it is not optional even for those coming from the Christian religion. Without being Born-Again no one can enter or even see the Kingdom of God; since he who is born of the flesh is flesh, and only the one born of the Spirit can be spiritual like the Spirit (John 3:1-7). This, a person’s being Born-Again, does not happen by following any religion, or by fulfilling any rites, rituals, ceremonies, traditions, feasts & festivals, etc. of any religion. To be Born-Again every person has to willingly repent of his sins, confess them, come to faith in the Lord Jesus and accept the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior, surrender one’s life to Him, and commit to living a life of obedience to the Lord and His Word (Acts 17:30-31; John 1:12-13; Romans 10:9-10).

On being Born-Again, he is born as a spiritual infant, and from then on, to grow in his spiritual life he has to leave the things of his former nature and behavior, and constantly feed himself on the pure milk of the Word of God, i.e., he has to keep reading and obeying it for all things (1 Peter 2:1-2), and he has to steadfastly continue in the four pillars of Christian life given in Acts 2:42. Through this feeding and nourishment, the person grows up from being an infant to becoming a child. For his further spiritual growth, the person has to now take some decisions about his relationship with God and has to practically demonstrate his Christian Faith by living it out in his day-to-day life. This is a challenging period, a time of taking a decision to remain stagnant and stunted in his spiritual growth or grow further in their spiritual life. Most Christian Believers get stuck at this point and fail to live up to this challenge because, despite all their claims to the contrary, they are unable to completely trust the Lord God to fulfill Matthew 6:25-34 for them. Instead, they trust in their own efforts, ways, methods, and labor to meet their physical needs and to achieve and acquire temporal benefits, as the people of the world do. Because of trusting in themselves instead of God, they soon face demands on their time, and more often than not the attractions of the temporal win over the spiritual, and they start falling away from steadfastly continuing in the four pillars of Christian living, i.e., in studying God’s Word, in Christian Fellowship, in spending time in Prayer, and regularly participating in the Lord’s Table, and end up becoming weak in their spiritual lives. Their remaining childlike in Christian understanding and faith is contrary to the instructions of God’s Word “Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature” (1 Corinthians 14:20). In the previous two articles, we have seen the signs of spiritual immaturity in the life of a Christian Believer, from Ephesians 4:14.

Besides telling the signs of spiritual immaturity in Christian life and faith, Ephesians 4:14 also talks about the other harmful effects of this immaturity. These harmful effects are repeatedly falling for the “trickery of men”, and “the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting”, therefore, they are very easily “tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine.” In other words, instead of being firm and established in the Word of God and instructions on Christian Faith and living, they can very easily be carried away into following one teaching or another.

Take note, to make Adam and Eve commit the first sin in the Garden of Eden, Satan, in the form of a serpent used this same trickery and craftiness. Satan first created doubt in the heart and mind of Eve about God’s love and plans for them being perfect and the best, prodded her into being disobedient to God. She fell for Satan’s trickery, cunningness, and craftiness, ended up committing sin, and made Adam do it as well. That is why, through the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul wrote, “But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works” (2 Corinthians 11:3, 13-15). The Lord Jesus has also forewarned that one of the signs of the end times will be many false prophets and deceivers will come in His name (Matthew 24:5, 11). Paul reminded his readers to take heed from him, that how in his preaching and teaching he always remained steadfastly rooted to God’s Word (2 Corinthians 2:17; 4:2; 1 Thessalonians 2:3-5). Paul also warned that these deceivers and teachers of wrong doctrines, of false teachings, will arise from amongst the Christian Believers, from within the Christian Churches or Assemblies (Acts 20:30).

God’s Word teaches us to identify such people and stay away from them “Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple” (Romans 16:17-18). The Apostle John too cautioned his readers “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1), in the verses after this, he tells how to discern between the right and the wrong spirits. It is necessary to be able to do this because these deceivers by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness present the gospel of the Lord Jesus in a corrupted form by mixing up wrong and worldly things in it, and thereby render it ineffective. That is why, the Holy Spirit has called all such people who corrupt and alter the gospel as “cursed” “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:6-8). Take note from these Biblical references that this trickery, cunningness, and craftiness of men, succeeds in corrupting God’s Word and taking away it's being truthful, because of bringing in and mixing human wisdom and thinking into God’s Word (1 Corinthians 1:17). If the Christian Believer stays firmly established and rooted in God’s Word, then not only will he grow in spiritual maturity, but it will also become difficult to beguile him and mislead him into wrong things.

Therefore, the way to be safe from this ill effect of immaturity, and come out of it is also by continually increasing in learning and understanding the Word of God “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17); and to live the life of Christian Faith, not according to worldly wisdom and philosophy, but according to the Word of God, “Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ” (Colossians 2:4, 6-8).

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is necessary for you to become spiritually mature by learning the right teachings of God’s Word. You should also always, like the Berean Believers first check and test all teachings you get from the Word of God, and only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
