मसीही जीवन के चार स्तम्भ - 4 - प्रार्थना (9)
प्रार्थना करना, प्रेरितों 2:42 में दी गई चार बातों में से चौथी बात है। ये चारों बातें व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन जीने से सम्बन्धित हैं और आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासी इनमें लौलीन रहते थे। पिछले कुछ लेखों में हमने प्रार्थना करने से सम्बन्धित कुछ आम भ्रांतियों के बारे में परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल से देखा है। हमने देखा और समझा है कि प्रार्थना करना परमेश्वर के साथ वार्तालाप करना है, और परमेश्वर का निर्देश है कि उसके लोग उसके साथ निरन्तर प्रार्थना में लगे रहें, अर्थात, हर बात के बारे में उससे लगातार वार्तालाप करते रहें, जिससे वे शैतान की युक्तियों से, उसकी चालों में फँसने से बचे रहें। प्रार्थना को लेकर एक और गलत धारणा है कि परमेश्वर का वायदा है कि वह विश्वास से माँगी गई हर प्रार्थना को पूरा करेगा। इस सन्दर्भ में हमने हाल ही के लेखों में देखा है कि परमेश्वर के वायदों को उनके सन्दर्भ में देखना, समझना और व्याख्या करना आवश्यक है, तभी उनका सही अर्थ समझा जा सकता है। सन्दर्भ के बाहर लेकर व्याख्या करने से किसी भी बात को कोई भी अर्थ दिया जा सकता है। पिछले लेख में हमने परमेश्वर के वचन के कुछ पदों से देखा था कि परमेश्वर किन लोगों की और कैसी प्रार्थनाओं को पूरा करता है। आज हम उन कुछ पदों और वाक्यों के बारे में कुछ और बातों को देखेंगे जिन्हें सामान्यतः लोग यह दिखाने के लिए प्रयोग करते हैं कि परमेश्वर विश्वास से माँगी गई सभी प्रार्थनाओं का सकारात्मक उत्तर देता है।
जब हम प्रभु यीशु द्वारा कही गई उन बातों को देखते हैं, जिनमें प्रभु ने कहा है कि विश्वास से माँगी गई प्रार्थनाएं पूरी की जाएंगी, तो सन्दर्भ के आधार पर यह ध्यान रखना आवश्यक है कि प्रभु ने ये सभी आश्वासन जन-सामान्य को नहीं, केवल अपने शिष्यों को ही दिए थे। उन शिष्यों को, जो अपने घर, परिवार, व्यवसाय, आदि सभी कुछ छोड़कर प्रभु के साथ हो लिए थे, प्रभु से सीखते थे, उसके साथ रहते और हर परिस्थिति को सहते थे। प्रभु ने अपने ऐसे शिष्यों के बारे में कुछ महत्वपूर्ण बातें भी बताई हैं। प्रभु द्वारा बताई गई इन बातों का ध्यान रखना अनिवार्य है, तब ही हम समझ सकते हैं कि प्रभु ने प्रार्थना के उत्तर देने के विषय आश्वासन किन लोगों को दिए हैं। क्योंकि ये आश्वासन कुछ विशिष्ट लोगों को दिए गए हैं, इसलिए प्रभु के उन आश्वासनों को सन्दर्भ से बाहर लेकर, जन-सामान्य के लिए, सभी लोगों के लिए सामान्य रीति से लागू समझना और सिखाना, परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रतिकूल जाना है; गलत आधार पर व्याख्या करना और सिखाना है। क्योंकि प्रार्थना के उत्तरों से सम्बन्धित इन आश्वासनों के बारे में बताते और सिखाते हुए, उन आश्वासनों की सही व्याख्या से सम्बन्धित इस महत्वपूर्ण बात की लगभग हमेशा ही अनदेखी की जाती है, कि ये आश्वासन किन्हें, और किस बात के लिए दिए गए हैं। और यह अनदेखी करना अनुचित है; और गलत व्याख्या करना तथा शिक्षा देना है।
प्रभु ने अपने आरम्भिक चेलों को चुनते और सेवकाई के लिए तैयार करते समय, मत्ती 10:25 में, कहा, “चेले का गुरू के, और दास का स्वामी के बराबर होना ही बहुत है…” अर्थात प्रभु यीशु के चेले में प्रभु के समान गुण दिखाई देने चाहिएं। प्रेरित यूहन्ना ने इसी बात को अपनी पहली पत्री में दोहराया, जब उसने लिखा, “जो कोई यह कहता है, कि मैं उसे जान गया हूं, और उस की आज्ञाओं को नहीं मानता, वह झूठा है; और उस में सत्य नहीं।” और “जो कोई यह कहता है, कि मैं उस में बना रहता हूं, उसे चाहिए कि आप भी वैसा ही चले जैसा वह चलता था।” (1 यूहन्ना 2:4, 6)।
अपने शिष्यों को चुनने और सेवकाई के लिए नियुक्त करते समय, प्रभु ने उनके बारे में तीन अन्य गुण भी कहे थे, “तब उसने बारह पुरुषों को नियुक्त किया, कि वे उसके साथ साथ रहें, और वह उन्हें भेजे, कि प्रचार करें।” (मरकुस 3:14)। यहाँ पर दिए गए ये तीन गुण हैं, पहला वे प्रभु के साथ-साथ रहने वाले हों; दूसरा, वे प्रभु द्वारा निर्धारित सेवकाई के लिए जाने के लिए तैयार रहें; तीसरा, वे प्रभु के लिए प्रचार करने वाले लोग हों।
जो प्रभु के समान बनने का प्रयास करते हैं (1 कुरिन्थियों 11:1), उसके साथ संगति में निरन्तर बने रहते हैं, उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में सेवकाई के लिए भेजे जाने और उसे करने के लिए तैयार रहते हैं, प्रभु ने प्रार्थना का सकारात्मक उत्तर पाने के विषय आश्वासन उन्हें दिए हैं; ना कि हर किसी को। और यह पिछले लेख में परमेश्वर द्वारा प्रार्थना का उत्तर देने से सम्बन्धित बातों के साथ मेल भी खाता है।
हम अगले लेख में हम वाक्यांश “विश्वास से मांगी गई प्रार्थना” पर विचार करेंगे, और उसके तात्पर्य को समझेंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 4 - Prayer (9)
Prayer is the fourth of the four things given in Acts 2:42. The four things given there, are all related to living a practical Christian life, and the initial Christian Believers used to observe them steadfastly. In the past few articles we have considered from the Word of God, about some common misunderstandings regarding prayer. We have seen and understood that to pray is to converse with God. It is God’s instruction that His people should pray continually, i.e., should keep communicating or conversing with Him about everything all the time, to remain safe from falling for the satanic schemes and plots. Another very common misunderstanding related to prayer is that God has promised to fulfill every prayer made in faith. In this context we have seen in the recent articles that it is essential to consider, understand, and interpret the promises of God in their context, only then can their correct meaning be understood. By interpreting things outside of their context, any meaning can be ascribed to anything. In the previous article we had seen some verses from God’s Word that tell us about whose prayers, and what kind of prayers God has said He will answer. Today we will consider some other things related to the verses that people often misuse to show that God has promised to answer favorably all prayers of faith.
When we consider those assurances where the Lord has said that the prayers made in faith will be honored and fulfilled, then it is essential to keep in mind that the Lord has given these assurances not to everybody, and in general, but only to His disciples. To those disciples, who had left their homes, families, jobs, etc., to always be with the Lord Jesus; they learnt from Him, lived and suffered with Him in all circumstances. The Lord also gave some very important characteristics of these disciples. It is necessary to keep these things stated by the Lord in mind, only then can we understand to whom has He given the assurances of fulfilling their prayers. Since these assurances have been given only to certain specific people, therefore taking the Lord’s assurances out of their context and then teaching them as being applicable for everyone, is going contrary to God’s Word; is misinterpreting and wrongly applying God’s Word. This very important fact regarding to whom and for what kind of prayers have these assurances been given, is practically always overlooked and left unsaid when interpreting and teaching about these assurances. This overlooking and ignoring is wrong, is misinterpreting God’s Word, and giving wrong teachings from it.
The Lord, while choosing His initial disciples and preparing them for their ministry, said in Matthew 10:25 “It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master…” in other words, the characteristics of the Lord should be seen in the disciples of the Lord. The Apostle John said the same thing in his first letter, “He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” and “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked” (1 John 2:4, 6).
While choosing and appointing His disciples for ministry, the Lord also gave three other characteristics, “Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach,” (Mark 3:14). The three characteristics given here are, first, they should be the ones who stay with Him; second, they should be willing to be sent by the Lord for assigned ministry; third, they should be those who preach what the Lord asks them to preach.
Those who strive to become like the Lord (1 Corinthians 11:1), continually remain in fellowship with Him, are those who are willing to be sent by the Lord for ministry, and then also carry it out, they are the ones whom Lord has assured that that their prayers will be answered; this assurance is not for anyone and everyone. And, this also goes along with the verses we have seen in the previous article about prayers answered by God.
In the next article we will consider the phrase “prayer ask in faith” and understand its meaning.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
