    पिछले लेखों  में हमने 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:7-11 में दिए गए आत्मिक वरदानों को देखना आरंभ किया था। यहाँ दिए गए 9 विभिन्न वरदानों: “बुद्धि का बातें”; “ज्ञान की बातें”; “विश्वास”; “चंगा करने का वरदान”; “सामर्थ्य के काम करने की शक्ति”; “भविष्यवाणी करने की शक्ति”; “आत्माओं की परख”; “अनेक प्रकार की भाषा”; “भाषाओं का अर्थ बताना” में से अभी तक हम पहले सात के बारे में देख चुके हैं। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि पवित्र आत्मा के सभी वरदान किसी के निज प्रयोग अथवा लाभ के लिए नहीं हैं, वरन, सभी के लिए और मसीही विश्वासियों की मण्डली की उन्नति और लाभ के लिए हैं। जिसे भी उसकी सेवकाई के लिए जो भी वरदान परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रदान किया है, उसे वह वरदान पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, सभी मसीही विश्वासियों के लाभ के लिए प्रयोग करना है, अपने लिए नहीं। आज हम इस सूची के शेष दो वरदानों के बारे में कुछ विवरण देखेंगे:   

• “अनेक प्रकार की भाषा”: प्रेरितों 2:4-11 से यह प्रकट है कि जिन “अन्य भाषाओं” का उल्लेख किया गया है वे पृथ्वी की ही, और विभिन्न भौगोलिक क्षेत्रों के लोगों द्वारा बोली जाने वाली भाषाएं थीं; न कि अलौकिक या पृथ्वी के बाहर की भाषाएं, जैसा पवित्र आत्मा के नाम से गलत शिक्षाएं देने वाले दावा करते हैं। यह बात 1 कुरिन्थियों 14 अध्याय के अध्ययन से और अधिक स्पष्ट एवं दृढ़ हो जाती है। उस समय प्रभु के शिष्यों और प्रेरितों को तुरंत ही संसार भर में जाकर सुसमाचार बताने की आवश्यकता थी; किन्तु प्रभु के सभी अनुयायी इस्राएल से थे, स्थानीय भाषा बोलने वाले थे, और अधिकांशतः तो बहुत कम शिक्षा पाए हुए या अनपढ़ भी थे। इस बात का सुसमाचार प्रचार में बाधा बनने के समाधान के लिए पवित्र आत्मा ने उन शिष्यों को बिना पहले किसी अन्य क्षेत्र की स्थानीय भाषा को सीखे, अनेकों प्रकार की भाषाएं बोलने का वरदान भी दे दिया, जिससे वे जहाँ पर भी जाएँ, वहाँ की भाषा के अनुसार उन इलाकों में जाकर प्रचार कर सकें। यह उस समय की तात्कालिक आवश्यकता थी, जिसका समाधान परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रदान किया, और यह 1 कुरिन्थियों 14 अध्याय में और स्पष्ट भी हो जाता है। साथ ही पवित्र आत्मा ने यह भी लिखवा दिया कि यह वरदान स्थाई नहीं है, वरन एक समय पर समाप्त हो जाएगा क्योंकि तब इसकी आवश्यकता नहीं रहेगी (1 कुरिन्थियों 13:8), क्योंकि हर स्थान पर हर भाषा में सुसमाचार देने वाले लोग खड़े हो जाएंगे। किन्तु इस वरदान की गलत समझ, व्याख्या, और शिक्षाओं के द्वारा पवित्र आत्मा के नाम से गलत शिक्षाएं देने वालों ने बहुतेरों को बहका रखा है, भ्रम में डाल रखा है। साथ ही, बाइबल की शिक्षाओं और निर्देशों के विपरीत, जो लोग “अन्य-भाषा” के बारे में ये गलत शिक्षाएँ देते हैं, वे इस वरदान को व्यक्तिगत उपयोग तथा स्वयं की महिमा के लिए चाहते हैं, परमेश्वर के साथ “व्यक्तिगत वार्तालाप” करने के लिए, जबकि उनको यह पता भी नहीं होता है कि उनके मुँह से निकलने वाली विचित्र आवाजों का अर्थ क्या था। वे नहीं जानते हैं कि उन्होंने जो तथाकथित “परमेश्वर से वार्तालाप” किया है, उसमें क्या कहा और सुना गया, वह किस बारे में था, क्या निर्देश मिले, क्या सुधारने के लिए कहा गया। साथ ही वे एक ही विचित्र आवाज़ को हर समय, हर अवसर पर, हर बात के लिये बारम्बार दोहराते रहते हैं, मानों एक ही विचित्र आवाज़ में अलग-अलग समय, अवसर, और बात के लिये अलग-अलग अर्थ निहित हैं - जो किसी भी भाषा से किसी भी प्रकार से सुसंगत नहीं है।  

प्रत्येक अन्य आत्मिक वरदान के समान, अन्य भाषा बोलने का वरदान भी सभी की भलाई, सभी की उपयोगिता, और मण्डली की उन्नति के लिए है; किसी के द्वारा व्यक्तिगत प्रयोग या अपने आप को विशेष सामर्थ्य पाया हुआ दिखाने के लिए नहीं। इसलिए इस वरदान के आधार पर कोई भी अपने आप को विशिष्ट या असाधारण, परमेश्वर द्वारा विशेष रीति से आशीष पाया हुआ नहीं कह या दिखा सकता है। ऐसा कहना या जताना, इस वरदान का दुरुपयोग करना है, तथा परमेश्वर के वचन की अनुचित व्याख्या के द्वारा उसका भी दुरुपयोग करना है। इसे व्यक्तिगत उपयोग के लिए बताना या प्रयोग करना, वचन के अनुसार नहीं है, और वास्तविकता तो यह है कि आज जो इस वरदान को इतना महत्व देते हैं, वे कोई भाषा नहीं बोल रहे होते हैं, वे एक उन्माद की दशा में केवल मुँह से कुछ निरर्थक आवाज़ें निकाल और दोहरा रहे होते हैं। क्योंकि वे जो बोल रहे होते हैं उसे न तो वे स्वयं और न ही कोई अन्य समझने पाता है, और स्वयं को जायज़ ठहराने के लिए वे इसे “अलौकिक भाषा” में बात करना कह देते हैं, और अपने दावे की पुष्टि के लिये परमेश्वर के वचन को तोड़-मरोड़ कर प्रस्तुत करते हैं। 

• “भाषाओं का अर्थ बताना”: जिस प्रकार संसार के सभी स्थानों में जाकर वहाँ की भाषा में सुसमाचार प्रचार करने वालों की आवश्यकता थी, उसी प्रकार से मण्डलियों में ऐसे लोगों की भी आवश्यकता थी जो दु-भाषिये का कार्य कर सकें। अर्थात यदि बाहर से कोई भिन्न भाषा बोलने वाला प्रचारक किसी मण्डली में आए, तो उसकी बात को स्थानीय भाषा में अनुवाद कर के स्थानीय लोगों को लाभान्वित कर सकें। इसीलिए पवित्र आत्मा ने लिखवाया है कि प्रचारक को किसी नए स्थान पर जाने के बाद पहले यह पता कर लेना चाहिए कि उसकी बात का स्थानीय भाषा में अनुवाद करने वाला कोई है कि नहीं; यदि नहीं है तो फिर उसे शांत रहना चाहिए, नाहक प्रचार नहीं करना चाहिए (1 कुरिन्थियों 14:27-28)। इस वरदान का दिया जाना, इससे सम्बन्धित निर्देशों का परमेश्वर के वचन में स्पष्ट लिखवाया जाना, और मण्डली में इसका विद्यमान होना, ये सभी बातें एक बार फिर पुष्टि करती हैं कि बाइबल में उल्लेखित “अन्य भाषाएं” पृथ्वी की ही भाषाएं थीं, कोई अलौकिक भाषाएं नहीं। 

    1 कुरिन्थियों 12:7-11 में दिए गए 9 आत्मिक वरदानों को देखने के बाद, अगले लेख से हम अपना ध्यान रोमियों 12 अध्याय पर केंद्रित करेंगे, और विश्वासी के पवित्र आत्मा के वरदानों को उपयोग करने का भण्डारी होने के बारे में सीखना आरम्भ करेंगे।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। सच्चे मन से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके और प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit – 4

 

    Since the previous articles we have been seeing about the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11. Of the 9 different gifts, i.e., “word of wisdom,” “word of knowledge,” “faith,” “healing,” “miracles,” “prophecy,” “discerning of spirits,” “different kinds of tongues,” and “interpretation of tongues”, we have seen about the first 7. We had also seen that none of the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for any person’s personal use or benefit; rather, all the gifts are meant for the help and benefit of everyone in the Church. Whichever gift anyone has received for their God assigned work and ministry, he has to use that gift under the guidance of God the Holy Spirit, for the benefit of the Christian Believers, not for himself alone. Today we will see about the remaining two gifts in this list:

• “Different kinds of tongues”: From Acts 2:4-11 it is apparent that the “tongues” or other languages that had been spoken of were known, recognized, named, and spoken earthly languages of different geographical regions. They were not any “out of the world” or “heavenly” languages, as those who preach and teach wrong things in the name of the Holy Spirit claim. This becomes all the more clear and more established from studying 1 Corinthians 14. At that time, the disciples of the Lord Jesus had to spread out into the world and preach the gospel to all people; but the disciples were all from Israel, spoke their local language, and most of them were either poorly educated or uneducated. So that this does not become a limiting factor in the preaching and spread of the Gospel, therefore, the Holy Spirit gave the then disciples the remedy to the situation - the miraculous ability to speak in the languages of other places without having to wait to learn them, so that they could immediately go to various geographical areas and preach the gospel unhindered by language, in the local language. This was an immediate need of the situation, and it was taken care of by the Holy Spirit, and this becomes clear in 1 Corinthians 14. Moreover, God the Holy Spirit also had it written down that this gift was not for all times, but after some time it will be taken away because by that time it will no longer be needed (1 Corinthians 13:8), since at every place, in every language people would come up who can preach the gospel in the local language. But, by misinterpreting the teachings about this gift and misusing this gift itself, those who preach wrong doctrines and teach false teachings have created a lot of confusion and have beguiled and led astray many people. Moreover, contrary to Biblical instructions and teachings, those who give these wrong teachings about “tongues,” seek this gift for personal use and self-glorification, for their “personal communications” with God; whereas, actually they themselves have no idea of the meaning of what they have uttered from their mouths. They do not know what they allegedly have “communicated with God” about, what was said and heard in that “conversation,” what instructions were given to them and what were they asked to correct and improve upon. Moreover, they keep uttering the same gibberish over and over again, at all times, on every occasion, for everything; as if in the same gibberish that they always utter, things necessary to speak for their current time and occasion are automatically implied - which is absolutely inconsistent with the norms of any language.

Like every other spiritual gift, the gift of being able to speak in other languages is also for the growth and benefit of the Church and other Christian Believers, and not for the use and benefit of any person. Therefore, no one can claim to be someone extra-special or extra-ordinary, specially blessed by God because of having this gift. Doing so is a misuse of this gift and God’s Word; it is misinterpreting and misusing God’s Word. Claiming that this gift is for personal use and is to be used in that manner, is inconsistent with God’s Word. The reality is that those who do this, actually do not speak any language, but just repetitively utter a few unintelligible sounds in an ecstatic state. Since what they are saying is neither understood by them nor by anyone else, and to justify themselves they claim that they are speaking some “heavenly” language, and distort God’s Word to substantiate their claim.

• “Interpretation of tongues”: At that time, just as it was required that there be people who will be able to go to various places and preach the gospel in the local language there, similarly it was required in the Church that there be bi-lingual or multi-lingual people, who would be able to translate for someone coming from outside, from another language speaking area, so that if an outside preacher comes, then the local people can benefit from what he has to say. It is for this reason that the Holy Spirit had it written down that if a preacher goes to a new area, he should first find out if there is someone who can translate for him into the local language; if there is nobody, then he should stay silent instead of unnecessarily preaching when no one can understand what he is saying (1 Corinthians 14:27-28). That this gift was given, clear instructions related to the use of this gift were recorded in God’s Word, and the presence of this gift in the Assemblies of God’s children, all this once again affirms that the “tongues” mentioned in the Bible were earthly, not extra-terrestrial languages.

    Having considered the 9 gifts mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, from the next article, we will shift our focus to Romans 12, and start learning about the Believer’s being stewards of utilizing their spiritual gifts.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Voluntarily repent of your sins and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrender yourself to Him - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

इस विषय पर पिछले लेखों में हमने देखा है कि भला होना, सही होना आदि बातें केवल कुछ स्थापित और स्वीकार्य मानकों के आधार पर ही निर्धारित की जा सकती हैं, जैसे कि देश का संविधान, समाज की व्यवस्था, निर्वाह अथवा संदर्भित किये जा रहे धर्म के नियम आदि। हम अपने ही मानक बनाकर सभी के उनका पालन करने की अपेक्षा नहीं रख सकते हैं। हमने यह भी देखा था पृथ्वी की बातों के लिये स्थापित मानक, परमेश्वर के मानकों से भिन्न हैं; और परलोक की बातों के लिये केवल परमेश्वर के मानक ही उपयोग किये जा सकते हैं, और मसीही विश्वास के अनुसार, परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल ही वह सिद्ध, शाश्वत, अटल, पूर्णतः सही मानक है। यद्यपि पृथ्वी के जीवन, परस्पर मानवीय सम्बन्धों और संगति, समाज के कार्य करने आदि के दृष्टिकोण से पृथ्वी के मानकों का होना आवश्यक और अनिवार्य है, किन्तु यह मान कर नहीं चला जा सकता है कि जो पृथ्वी के मानकों के आधार पर भला और सही होगा, वह परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में भी भला और उसे स्वीकार्य होगा - इसके लिये बाइबल से केवल दो पदों पर विचार कीजिये - यशायाह 64:6 और रोमियों 3:10. 

भला होने के बारे में इस लेख के प्रथम भाग में, हमने देखा था कि परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य होने लायक भला होने के लिए, हमारी भलाई परमेश्वर के मानकों के अनुसार होनी चाहिए। हम अपने ही मानक और गुण निर्धारित कर के उन्हें परमेश्वर पर नहीं थोप सकते हैं, इस आशा के साथ कि वह उन्हें स्वीकार करेगा और उन्हीं के अनुसार हमारा आँकलन करेगा, और कह देगा कि हम पर्याप्त भले हैं। हमारा परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य होना उसकी शर्तों पर होगा, उसके द्वारा निर्धारित आधार पर होगा, न कि हमारे बनाए हुए पर। इस संदर्भ में हमने पहले तीनों सुसमाचारों में दिए गए धनी जवान व्यक्ति के साथ हुई प्रभु यीशु की वार्तालाप के कुछ भागों को देखना आरंभ किया था। हमने मरकुस 10:18 से प्रभु यीशु द्वारा भले होने के मानक और परिभाषा को देखा था; स्वयं प्रभु यीशु के शब्दों में – परमेश्वर के अतिरिक्त और कोई भला नहीं है! इसमें यह भी निहित है कि जो कोई भी परमेश्वर के मानकों के अनुसार भला है, तो वह परमेश्वर के स्तर का है, उसके समान है।

अब, इस धनी जवान व्यक्ति के साथ हुए इस वार्तालाप के आगे के भाग में, भला होने के बारे में एक बड़ा विरोधाभास आता हुआ लगता है। प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने अनन्त जीवन का मार्ग जानने के लिए उसके पास आए हुए धनी जवान से कहा था, “उसने उस से कहा, तू मुझ से भलाई के विषय में क्यों पूछता है? भला तो एक ही है; पर यदि तू जीवन में प्रवेश करना चाहता है, तो आज्ञाओं को माना कर” (मत्ती 19:17); अर्थात, प्रभु यीशु मसीह के अनुसार, आज्ञाओं के पालन से जीवन में प्रवेश मिल सकता है, परमेश्वर के साथ रहने के लिए उद्धार यानी अनन्त जीवन में प्रवेश मिल सकता है। दूसरे शब्दों में, उद्धार कर्मों तथा परमेश्वर की आज्ञाओं के पूरा करने के द्वारा संभव है। यहाँ पर हमें इस बात का ध्यान रखना चाहिए कि, जैसे के इससे आगे के वार्तालाप से प्रगट है, प्रभु जिन आज्ञाओं के पालन की बात कर रहा था, वे पुराने नियम में दी गई परमेश्वर की दस आज्ञाओं के पालन के बारे में है। 

न केवल यहाँ पर प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने, लेकिन पुराने नियम में परमेश्वर ने भी कहा है कि उसके नियम और विधियाँ मानने से उसके लोग जीवित रहेंगे (लैव्यव्यवस्था 18:5; नहेम्याह 9:29; यहेजकेल 20:11; आदि), जिसकी पुष्टि नए नियम में पवित्र आत्मा ने पौलुस प्रेरित द्वारा भी करवाई है (रोमियों 10:5)। 

अब एक ओर वचन कह रहा है कि व्यवस्था के पालन से जीवन है, दूसरी ओर यह भी कह रहा है कि उद्धार कर्मों से नहीं विश्वास से है, और कोई मनुष्य भला नहीं है, इतनी भलाई कभी नहीं कर सकता है कि परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य हो जाए। तो इस विरोधाभास का समाधान क्या है?

इसके लिए एक अन्य प्रश्न के उत्तर को जानना और समझना बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है, कि जिस व्यवस्था के पालन की बात की जा रही है, वह व्यवस्था और उसका पालन करने का अर्थ क्या है? यदि हम इस आधारभूत प्रश्न को नहीं समझेंगे, तो हम गलतियों में पड़ जाएंगे, शैतान द्वारा भरमा और भटका दिए जाएंगे, जैसा कि वह बहुत से लोगों के साथ करता चला आ रहा है।

व्यवस्था क्या है, इसे हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे। इन बातों की सही समझ के लिए हमें यह ध्यान रखना अनिवार्य है कि परमेश्वर न झूठ बोलता है, न ही उसमें कोई दोगलापन है, और न ही उसके वचन में कोई विरोधाभास है। उसके वचन की बातों की सही समझ के लिए किसी भी बात को उसके संदर्भ से बाहर लेकर उसकी कोई भी मन-गढ़ंत व्याख्या कभी नहीं करनी चाहिए। साथ ही, हमेशा ही उस विषय से संबंधित वचन में दी गई अन्य बातों का भी ध्यान रखते हुए यह सुनिश्चित करके व्याख्या करनी चाहिए कि वचन की सभी बातों का उस व्याख्या में सही और उचित समावेश हो। वह व्याख्या सभी वचनों से सुसंगत हो, किसी भी बात को वह व्याख्या काटे नहीं, वह व्याख्या बाइबल की किसी भी सच्चाई के ज़रा भी विमुख न हो। मसीह के सभी अनुयायियों को सदा ही परमेश्वर के वचन पर पूरा भरोसा बनाए रखना चाहिए। इसलिए यदि आप कभी भी किसी भी रीति से परमेश्वर के वचन पर अविश्वास के, उसकी गलत व्याख्या के, उससे संबंधित गलत शिक्षाओं को बताने या सिखाने के दोषी हैं, तो प्रभु के सामने अपनी इस गलती को स्वीकार करके, उसके लिए पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु से उसके लिए क्षमा माँग लीजिए, और उससे विनती कीजिए के आपको वचन की सही समझ प्रदान करे।

Being Good – Part 3 - Who is Good According to the Bible? – 2

In the previous articles on this topic, we have seen that things like being good, being right, etc., can only be determined by certain established and accepted standards, e.g., the Constitution of the land, the norm of the society, the rules of the religion being followed or referenced, etc. We cannot have our self-determined standards and expect everyone to follow them. We also saw that the standards for things on earth are different from the divine standards; and for heavenly things it is only the standards of God that matter and are considered, and from the Christian perspective, God’s Word the Bible is that absolute, eternal, infallible, unchanging standard. While, from the perspective of life on earth, mutual relationships, and fellowship, functioning of the society, etc., the implementation and following of the earthly standards is essential; it cannot be assumed that being good by earthly standards automatically makes one good in God’s eyes and acceptable to Him - consider just two verses from the Bible - Isaiah 64:6 and Romans 3:10 for this. 

In first part of this article on Being Good, we had seen that to become good enough to be acceptable to God, our goodness has to be according to God’s criteria. We cannot decide our own criteria and standards, and then impose them upon God, expecting Him to accept them and measure us by the yardsticks we prepare and give Him, and declare us to be up to the mark. Acceptance to God has to be on His terms, not ours. In this context, we had started to look into certain parts of the conversation the Lord Jesus had with the Rich Young Ruler, given in the first three gospels. In Mark 10:18, we have the standard and definition of being good; in Lord Jesus’s own words – no one is good but God! This also implies that whoever is good by God’s measures, will be at the level of God, be equal to God!

Now, in the next part of this conversation with the Rich Young Ruler, there seems to be a big contradiction related to being good. The Lord Jesus Christ told the rich young man who had come to Him, seeking the way to eternal life, “So He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments” (Matthew 19:17); i.e., according to the Lord Jesus Christ’s assurance in this statement, it seems that obedience to the Commandments can provide entry into life, i.e., being with God for eternity, or being saved. In other words, salvation can be through works and fulfilling God’s Law. We should take note here that as is apparent from the conversation that followed, the commandments that the Lord is talking about here are the Ten Commandments, given in the Old Testament.

Not just the Lord Jesus Christ here, but God also said in the Old Testament that obeying His Law and statutes would ensure life for His people (Leviticus 18:5; Nehemiah 9:29; Ezekiel 20:11; etc.); and this is confirmed In the New Testament by the Holy Spirit through the apostle Paul (Romans 10:5).

Now on the one hand, God’s Word is saying that there is life through following the Law; and on the other hand, it is also saying that salvation is not by works but by faith, and no man is good, can never be good enough to become acceptable to God . So, what is the solution to this paradox?

For this it is very important to know and understand, what is the Law that is being talked about here; and what does the call to obeying the Law mean? If we do not understand this fundamental question, we will fall into error, be misguided and misled by Satan, as he has been doing to so many people.

What the Law is, we will see it in the next article. For a proper understanding of these things, we must keep in mind that God does not lie, there is no hypocrisy in Him, and there is no contradiction in His Word. For a proper understanding of the meaning of His Word One should never take anything out of its context and interpret it out of its context. At the same time, one must always take into account the other things in the Scriptures relating to that subject, making sure that the interpretation correctly and appropriately satisfies all the things stated in the Scriptures about the subject. That interpretation should never contradict any part of God’s Word; neither should it in any manner be inconsistent with anything in any part of the Bible, and it should not deviate even the slightest from the truth of God’s Word. All followers of Christ must at all times have complete faith in the Word of God. So, if you have ever been guilty of distrusting God's word in any way, of misinterpreting it, or of telling or giving wrong teachings, then by confessing your mistake to the Lord, and repenting for it, apologize to Him for it, and ask Him to give you a proper understanding of the Word.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

ईसाई या मसीही समाज में एक बहुत आम धारणा पाई जाती है कि प्रभु यीशु ने पतरस पर अपनी कलीसिया बनाने की बात कही है; और इस धारणा का आधार मत्ती 16:18 में प्रभु द्वारा कही गई बात - और मैं भी तुझ से कहता हूं, कि तू पतरस है; और मैं इस पत्थर पर अपनी कलीसिया बनाऊंगा: और अधोलोक के फाटक उस पर प्रबल न होंगे को बनाया जाता है। किन्तु यह धारणा सही नहीं है, वचन के अनुसार नहीं है।

बाइबल की बातों को गलत समझने का सबसे बड़ा कारण है किसी एक शब्द, या वाक्यांश, या वाक्य, अथवा पद को उसके संदर्भ के बाहर लेकर उसकी ऐसी व्याख्या करना, जो फिर संदर्भ के अनुसार देखे जाने में सही नहीं निकलती है। इसलिए बाइबल की हर बात को न केवल उसके तात्कालिक संदर्भ में देखना और समझना आवश्यक है, किन्तु बाइबल में शेष स्थानों पर उस विषय से संबंधित भागों में और क्या कहा गया है, उसे भी देखना और उन बातों के साथ अपनी व्याख्या के सामंजस्य को जाँचना भी अनिवार्य है। साथ ही, हमेशा यह ध्यान भी रखना चाहिए कि बाइबल की पुस्तकें उनके मूल स्वरूप में कभी भी अध्यायों और पदों में नहीं लिखी गई थीं वरन सामान्य लेख, कविताओं, और पत्रों के समान ही लिखी गई थीं। वर्तमान में पाया जाने वाला यह अध्यायों और पदों में विभाजन बहुत बाद में, हवाले देने और स्मरण रखने में सहायता करने के लिए किया गया। इसलिए यह विभाजन कृत्रिम है, और कई बार किसी परिच्छेद या खंड या वाक्य के विचार को पूरा हुए बिना ही बीच में काट या रोक देता है। इसलिए सही व्याख्या के लिए, संदर्भ में देखते समय, हमेशा, अपने मन में इस पदों और अध्यायों के विभाजन को हटाकर, उस संबंधित लेख को एक पूर्ण बात या विचार के अनुसार देखना, समझना, और फिर समझाना चाहिए। यदि हमारी व्याख्या तात्कालिक संदर्भ तथा उस विषय पर बाइबल के अन्य बातों के साथ मेल नहीं खाती है, तो व्याख्या गलत है, और उसे सुधारे जाने की आवश्यकता है।

संपूर्ण बाइबल परमेश्वर का वचन है; संपूर्ण बाइबल परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की प्रेरणा द्वारा लिखवाया गया है, अर्थात मूल और वास्तविक लेखक पवित्र आत्मा ही है, चाहे कलम चलाने वाले मनुष्य भिन्न हों; और यही वचन आदि में था, परमेश्वर के साथ था, परमेश्वर था, और देहधारी होकर हमारे मध्य में डेरा किया (यूहन्ना 1:1-2, 14)। इसलिए संपूर्ण बाइबल की बातों में कोई त्रुटि या परस्पर विरोधाभास संभव ही नहीं है, अन्यथा परमेश्वर में त्रुटि है, विरोधाभास है। इसलिए हर ऐसी व्याख्या जो तात्कालिक संदर्भ तथा संबंधित बातों एवं शिक्षाओं के साथ संगत नहीं है, वह गलत है, स्वीकार्य नहीं है; उसे मान और लेकर नहीं चला जा सकता है। यही बात इस धारणा को जाँचने की कसौटी भी है कि क्या वास्तव में प्रभु ने अपनी कलीसिया पतरस पर बनाने के लिए कहा है? और जाँचे जाने पर यह प्रकट हो जाता है कि प्रभु ने ऐसी कोई बात नहीं कही, ऐसा कोई आश्वासन नहीं दिया; और यह धारणा बिलकुल गलत, अनुचित और पूर्णतः अस्वीकार्य है।

अगले लेख से, हम इस धारणा का विश्लेषण तीन बातों के अंतर्गत करेंगे:

* क्या मत्ती 16:18 में प्रभु की कलीसिया बनाने की बात पतरस के लिए थी?

* क्या वचन में किसी अन्य स्थान पर पतरस पर कलीसिया बनाने की, उसे कलीसिया का आधार रखने की पुष्टि है?

* क्या पतरस इस आदर और आधार के योग्य था?

Built on Peter? (1)

There is a very common misunderstanding amongst the Christians, that the Lord Jesus has said that He will build His Church on Peter. The basis for this misunderstanding is Matthew 16:18, And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. This is because of misinterpreting this verse.

The most common reason for misinterpreting and misunderstanding something from the Bible is taking some word, or phrase, or sentence, or passage of the Bible out of its context and giving it meanings that do not stand up to scrutiny when that word, or phrase, or sentence, or passage of the Bible is seen in its actual context. Therefore, to properly understand Biblical things, not only should they be taken and understood in their immediate context, but also by considering what has been said in the Bible at other places about the same thing; every interpretation should satisfy, be consistent with everything said in the Bible about it; there should be no contradictions - none whatsoever, in the immediate and the related portions. Another fact that should always be borne in mind while interpreting and understanding is that in their original form and writing, the books of the Bible were not written in chapters and verses, as we presently have them in our Bibles. They were written as just another text, poetry, letter in general use is written. This current division into chapters and verses came about much later, as an aid, to cite, quote, and memorize Scripture portions. Therefore, this division is artificial, and at many places it cuts off the running thought of a sentence or passage in between, before its completion. Hence, for a correct interpretation, while looking at the context, it is always helpful to mentally remove the divisions into verses and chapters, and consider the whole thought as one unit. If our interpretation and understanding is not consistent with either the immediate context, or with other related passages and portions, then that interpretation and understanding is wrong, and needs to be rectified.

The whole of the Bible is the Word of God; the whole Bible has been written under the guidance of God the Holy Spirit, i.e., the original and actual author is the Holy Spirit, even though the persons using the pen for writing the words may be different. It is this Word that was present at the beginning, was with God, was God, and became flesh to dwell amongst us (John 1:1-2, 14). So, there can never be any error or mutual contradiction in the things of the Bible, else it implies imperfections and contradictions in God Himself. Therefore, every explanation and interpretation that is not consistent with the immediate context and the related things in the Bible is false, unacceptable, cannot be agreed to and used in any manner. These facts also serve as a guide for us to examine this notion that did the Lord Jesus really say that He will build His Church on Peter? We will see how on proper examination and with a correct understanding, it becomes clear that the Lord Jesus never said anything like this, nor did He give any such assurance; this is a completely wrong notion, is totally unjustified, and absolutely unacceptable.

From the next article, we will examine this notion about the Church being built on Peter through three questions:

* Was the Lord’s statement in Matthew 16:18 about building His Church, about Peter?

* Does the Scripture at any other place support or state this notion of the Church being built on Peter, or Peter being its foundation?

* Was Peter even worthy of this honor, of being considered to be the foundation for the Church?

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

मसीही जीवन के चार स्तम्भ - 4 - प्रार्थना (7) 

हम प्रेरितों 2:42 में दी गई व्यवहारिक मसीही जीवन जीने से सम्बन्धित बातों को देखते आ रहे हैं। इस पद में चार बातें दी गई हैं, जिनका आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासी लौलीन होकर पालन किया करते थे। वर्तमान में हम इनमें से चौथी बात, प्रार्थना करने पर विचार कर रहे हैं। हम देख चुके हैं कि सामान्य समझ के विपरीत, प्रार्थना करना केवल परमेश्वर से कुछ माँगना, या उसे कुछ करने के लिए कहना नहीं है। बल्कि प्रार्थना करना, परमेश्वर से वार्तालाप करना है; और यह वार्तालाप परमेश्वर के लोगों को हर बात के लिए करना चाहिए ताकि हर बात के बारे में उन्हें परमेश्वर का मार्गदर्शन, सहायता, और निर्देश मिलते रहें, तथा वे किसी गलत निर्णय या अनुचित मार्ग में न भटक जाएं। साथ ही, परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में यह परमेश्वर का निर्देश भी है कि उसके लोग हर बात के लिए उसके साथ निरन्तर प्रार्थना में जुड़े रहें, अर्थात उससे बातचीत करते रहें। परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करने, उससे माँगने से सम्बन्धित एक अन्य गलत धारणा यह भी है कि परमेश्वर प्रत्येक प्रार्थना का उत्तर हाँ में और तुरन्त देगा। और यदि ऐसा नहीं होता है तो इसका तात्पर्य है कि प्रार्थना में माँगने वाले के विश्वास में कुछ कमी है, जिस कारण परमेश्वर उसकी प्रार्थना का अपेक्षित उत्तर नहीं दे रहा है। पिछले लेख से हमने इसी विषय पर विचार करना आरम्भ किया है, और की गई प्रार्थना या मांगी गई बात के लिए सम्भव प्रतिक्रिया को एक पारिवारिक स्थिति से समझा है। आज हम इसी बात को आगे बढ़ाएंगे, और देखना आरम्भ करेंगे कि प्रार्थनाओं का सकारात्मक उत्तर प्राप्त करने के लिए परमेश्वर का वचन क्या कहता है। 

यह एक बहुत आम, किन्तु गलत शिक्षा है कि परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन में यह वायदा किया है, यह आश्वासन दिया है कि वह अपने लोगों की सभी प्रार्थनाओं का सकारात्मक उत्तर ही देगा। यह शिक्षा देने वाले, इस दावे को प्रमाणित करने के लिए बाइबल के कुछ पद दिखाते हैं, जो एक बार को उनके इस दावे की पुष्टि करने वाले प्रतीत होते हैं। लेकिन यदि हम इस दावे के बारे में थोड़ा सा भी विचार और विश्लेषण करें, तो यह प्रकट हो जाता है कि परमेश्वर का यह वायदा इस तरह से नहीं लिया जा सकता है। उदाहरण के लिए किसी खेल की स्पर्धा का एक बहुत साधारण सा उदाहरण लीजिए। स्पर्धा में भाग लेने वाली सभी टीमों के, खिलाड़ियों के, अपने-अपने समर्थक होते हैं; और सभी समर्थक चाहते हैं कि उनकी टीम ही जीते, उनकी पसन्द के खिलाड़ी अच्छा प्रदर्शन करें। लेकिन प्रत्येक खेल के लिए तय है कि एक जीत केवल एक टीम की होगी। अब दोनों ही टीमों के समर्थकों में मसीही विश्वासी भी होंगे; और वे परमेश्वर से अपनी-अपनी टीम को जिताने की प्रार्थना करेंगे। अब जो भी टीम हारेगी, क्या उसकी हार के लिए उसके समर्थकों के विश्वास की कमज़ोरी को ज़िम्मेदार माना जाए? ऐसे ही, यदि कोई विश्वासी साल भर अपनी पढ़ाई लिखाई ठीक से न करे, और फिर वार्षिक परीक्षा के समय वह और उसका परिवार, और मित्र आदि प्रार्थना माँगें कि वह अच्छे अंकों से पास हो जाए, तो क्या यह उचित प्रार्थना है? और यदि वह पास नहीं होता है तो क्या यह उसके और अन्य प्रार्थना करने वालों के विश्वास की स्थिति का सूचक है? इसलिए, यह प्रकट है कि परमेश्वर ऐसा कोई वायदा नहीं करेगा जो उपयुक्त और उचित नहीं है, जो उसके व्यक्तित्व, गुणों, और वचन से मेल नहीं खाता है।

 

परमेश्वर के वचन की गलत समझ और गलत व्याख्या का सबसे आम कारण है उसके वचन की बातों को उनके सन्दर्भ में नहीं देखना। बल्कि अपनी पसन्द, इच्छा, और आवश्यकता के अनुसार किसी पद या वाक्य को उसके सन्दर्भ के बाहर लेकर, उसे अपनी समझ और व्याख्या में बैठाना और सिखाना। बाइबल के प्रत्येक खण्ड, या पद, या वाक्य अथवा वाक्यांश के दो तरह के सन्दर्भ होते हैं - तात्कालिक या स्थानीय, और दूरस्थ। तात्कालिक या स्थानीय सन्दर्भ उस खण्ड, वाक्य, या पद के पहले और बाद में लिखी गई बातें हैं, जिनके अनुसार उसे देखना और समझना चाहिए, अन्यथा सही समझ और व्याख्या नहीं की जा सकेगी। दूरस्थ सन्दर्भ उस बात या विषय से सम्बन्धित वचन में अन्य स्थानों पर लिखी गई बातें हैं। क्योंकि परमेश्वर के वचन में कोई त्रुटि, कोई विरोधाभास नहीं है, इसलिए यह अनिवार्य है कि, किसी भी व्यक्ति के द्वारा की जाने वाली प्रत्येक व्याख्या, प्रत्येक शिक्षा, वचन के अन्य किसी भी भाग के विरुद्ध न जाए, उसे न काटे। चाहे वह भाग तात्कालिक या स्थानीय सन्दर्भ का हो, अथवा किसी दूरस्थ सन्दर्भ का। यदि कोई भी व्याख्या और शिक्षा, वचन के किसी भी अन्य भाग के साथ सुसंगत नहीं बैठती है, किसी भाग के साथ कोई विरोधाभास उत्पन्न करती है, तो फिर वह व्याख्या या शिक्षा सही नहीं है, चाहे उसे देने वाला कोई भी क्यों न हो। ऐसी हर व्याख्या और शिक्षा को कदापि स्वीकार नहीं करना चाहिए, तुरन्त ही उसका तिरस्कार किया जाना चाहिए, उसे फैलने नहीं देना चाहिए।

परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन में अनेकों स्थानों पर, पुराने और नए नियम दोनों में, यह स्पष्ट लिखवाया है कि वह किन लोगों की और कैसी प्रार्थनाएं स्वीकार करता है। लेकिन प्रार्थना के बारे में गलत शिक्षाएं देने वाले परमेश्वर के वचन की इन बातों की अनदेखी करके, केवल कुछ पदों या वाक्यों को उनके सन्दर्भ से बाहर लेकर, ये गलत और अनुचित दावे करते हैं कि परमेश्वर हर प्रार्थना का उत्तर हाँ में और तुरन्त देता है। अगले लेख में हम परमेश्वर के वचन के कुछ पदों को देखेंगे, जो हमें परमेश्वर द्वारा प्रार्थना के उत्तर दिए जाने के बारे में समझाएंगे।

  

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 4 - Prayer (7)

We have been considering from Acts 2:42 the things related to practical Christian living. In this verse, four things have been given, which the initial Christian Believers followed steadfastly. Presently we are looking at the fourth of these things, praying. We have seen that contrary to the popular misconception, prayer is not just asking God to give or do something. Rather, praying is conversing with God; and God’s people should be talking about everything with God, so that they will keep receiving guidance, help, and instructions from God, and not be misled through some incorrect decision or into some wrong way. Moreover, there is another instruction given in God’ Word, that God’s people should continually remain joined to Him in prayer, i.e., keep conversing with Him. There is another misconception related to prayer, that God will answer all prayers in “yes” and answer immediately. And if this does not happen, then it means that there is something lacking in the faith of the one praying, therefore, God has not given the expected answer to the prayer. Since the last article, we have started to consider this topic, and have understood the possible responses to a prayer or a request through a family setting. Today we will proceed further on this, and will start looking up what the Word of God says about receiving a positive answer to prayers.

It is a very common, but incorrect teaching that God has assured in His Word that He will answer favorably all the prayers made by His people. Those who give this teaching, to substantiate their claim show some verses from the Bible, which seem to affirm their claim. But if we ponder over and analyze even a little about this claim, then it becomes apparent that this promise from God cannot be taken as is claimed about it. As an example, take a very simple example about some sports competition. Every competing team and their players have their own supporters; and every supporter wants that their team should win and their favorite player should perform well. But it is only possible for only one team to be the winner. Now, there will be Christian Believers amongst the supporters of the two playing teams; and they will be praying for their team to win. Now, whichever team loses, will the faith of their Christian supporters be held responsible for their loss? Similarly, suppose a Believer does not study properly throughout the year, and then at the time of the annual examinations, he, his family, his friends, etc. all start praying that he should pass with good marks, then would it be an appropriate prayer? And if he does not pass, then is it indicative of the state of the faith of those praying for him? Therefore, it is apparent that God will never give any promise that is inappropriate and incorrect, that which does not conform to His personality, attributes, and Word.

The most common reason for misunderstanding and misinterpreting God’s Word is not considering what is written, in its context. Instead, taking that verse or sentence out of its context, and according to one's own understanding, desire, and necessity, try to fit it into a particular interpretation and teach the same. With every passage, or verse, or phrase of the Bible, there are always two kinds of contexts, the immediate or local, and the distant. The immediate or local context are the things written before and after that passage, sentence, or verse, and should be seen and interpreted according to it, else a correct understanding and interpretation cannot be arrived at. The distant context are the other related passages and teachings related to that topic or thing, at other places in the Bible. Since there is no error, or contradiction in God’s Word, therefore, it is essential that every interpretation, and teaching should never be at a variance or contradict any other portion of God’s Word, whether of immediate and local, or of a distant context.  If any interpretation or teaching does not conform to any other part of God’s Word, or contradicts it in any way, then it cannot be a correct interpretation or teaching, no matter who is expounding it. It should never be accepted, it should immediately be rejected, and should not be allowed to spread.

God, at many places in His Word, in both the Old as well as the New Testaments, has very clearly written what kind of prayers and whose prayers He accepts. But those who give wrong teachings about prayers, ignore these things given in God’s Word, take only a few verses or sentences out of their context, and then make these false and inappropriate claims that God gives an affirmative answer to every prayer, and does so immediately. In the next article we will look at some verses from God’s Word, which will explain to us about prayers being answered by God.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
