मसीही जीवन के चार स्तम्भ - 3 - प्रभु-भोज (1)

मसीही विश्वासी की आत्मिक जीवन में बढ़ोतरी तथा कलीसिया की उन्नति के लिए परमेश्वर के वचन और निर्देशों का पालन अनिवार्य है। परमेश्वर, उसके वचन, तथा उसकी आज्ञाकारिता को व्यक्तिगत जीवन में प्राथमिकता दिए बिना, मसीही विश्वासी न तो अपने आत्मिक जीवन बढ़ सकता है, और न ही परमेश्वर द्वारा आशीषित रह सकता है। परमेश्वर के वचन से बढ़ोतरी पर यह श्रृंखला इसी विषय पर है। वर्तमान में हम प्रेरितों 2:42 में दी गई चार बातों, जिन्हें “मसीही जीवन के स्तम्भ” भी कहा जाता है, देख रहे हैं। परमेश्वर का वचन बाइबल हमें बताती है कि आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासी इन चारों बातों में लौलीन रहते थे, और परिणामस्वरूप, विश्वासियों की संख्या में, आत्मिक जीवनों में बढ़ोतरी होती चली गई, और कलीसिया की उन्नति होती चली गई। पिछले लेखों में हम इन चार में से दो बातों, यत्न से और लौलीन होकर परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन करने तथा संगति रखने के बारे में सीख चुके हैं। आज से हम इस पद में दिए गए तीसरे स्तम्भ - “रोटी तोड़ना,” अर्थात प्रभु-भोज या प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने के बारे में सीखना आरम्भ करेंगे। इस ब्लॉग के पूर्व के लेखों में, इस विषय पर एक विस्तृत लेख श्रृंखला, जिसमें पुराने नियम में निर्गमन 12 अध्याय और फिर नए नियम में प्रेरितों 11 अध्याय से फसह के पर्व तथा प्रभु-भोज से सम्बन्धित व्याख्या हैं, दी जा चुकी है। अभी हम प्रेरितों 11:17-34 से प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने से सम्बन्धित बातों को देखेंगे।

 

प्रेरित पौलुस द्वारा कुरिन्थुस की मण्डली को लिखी गई पहली पत्री में, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने के सम्बन्ध में मण्डली के लोगों में पाई जाने वाली भ्रांतियों, उनकी अधूरी समझ, और उनके अनुचित व्यवहार को प्रकट किया है, उनकी गलतियों के परिणाम और समाधान बताए हैं, तथा मेज़ में सही रीति से भाग लेने के बारे में निर्देश दिए हैं। आज भी मसीही विश्वासियों में प्रभु-भोज को लेकर कई गलतफहमियाँ पाई जाती हैं, और बहुत से मसीही विश्वासी इसे भी एक औपचारिकता के समान ही लेते हैं। साथ ही कुछ मसीही विश्वासियों में तथा पारम्परिक कलीसियाओं के अधिकाँश सदस्यों में यह गलत धारणा पाई जाती है कि प्रभु-भोज में भाग ले लेने से वे परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी, और स्वर्ग में प्रवेश के लिए योग्य हो जाते हैं। इस गलत धारणा का आधार उनका यह मानना है कि क्योंकि प्रभु-भोज में भाग ले लेने से उनके अन्दर प्रभु की अविनाशी देह और लहू के अंश हैं, इसलिए प्रभु के समान ही वे भी कभी नाश नहीं होंगे। और इसीलिए, जब भी उन कलीसियाओं में प्रभु-भोज दिया जाता है, उस दिन सभा में सम्मिलित होने वालों की संख्या बहुत बढ़ जाती है। लेकिन उनकी इस मन-गढ़न्त धारणा का बाइबल से कोई आधार अथवा समर्थन नहीं है। इसीलिए परमेश्वर के वचन की यही शिक्षाएँ जो तब कुरिन्थुस की मण्डली के लिए आवश्यक और महत्वपूर्ण थीं, आज हमारे लिए भी उतनी ही आवश्यक और महत्वपूर्ण हैं, जितनी तब उन लोगों के लिए थीं।

इस विषय पर अपने इस संक्षिप्त अध्ययन में हम कुछ आवश्यक आरम्भिक बातों को और फिर प्रेरितों 11:17-34 के खण्ड में दी गई शिक्षाओं को निम्न सात बिन्दुओं के अन्तर्गत देखेंगे:

प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेना न तो कोई हल्की बात है, और न ही इसे औपचारिकता के समान निभाया जा सकता है। योग्य रीति से मेज़ में भाग लेने की आशीषें भी हैं, लेकिन अनुचित रीति से भाग लेने के भयानक दुष्परिणाम भी हैं। इस मेज़ के बारे में सामान्यतः देखी जाने वाली धारणाओं के विपरीत, न तो मेज़ में भाग लेने से कोई मसीही विश्वासी बनता है, न ही परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी ठहरता है, और न ही भाग लेने वाले का स्वर्ग में प्रवेश निश्चित हो जाता है। अगले लेख से हम इस मेज़ के बारे में, और सच्चे मसीही विश्वासियों के इसमें भाग लेने, तथा योग्य रीति से भाग लेने की अनिवार्यता से सम्बन्धित बाइबल की शिक्षाओं पर विचार आरम्भ करेंगे।

Obedience to God's Word and instructions is essential for the spiritual growth of a Christian Believer and the edification of the church. Without giving priority to God, His Word, and to obedience to Him in their personal life, the Christian Believer can neither grow in his spiritual life nor be blessed by God. This series on growing through God's Word is on this topic. Presently we are looking at four things given in Acts 2:42, also called the “Pillars of the Christian living.” God's Word, the Bible, tells us that the early Christians continued steadfastly in these four things. As a result, the number of Believers multiplied as well as grew in their spiritual lives, and the churches increased. In previous articles we have learned about two of these four pillars, i.e., diligently and steadfastly studying God's Word, and being in fellowship. Today we will begin to learn about the third pillar given in this verse – “the breaking of bread,” that is, partaking in the Holy Communion or, in the Lord's Table. In previous articles on this blog, there has been a comprehensive series on this topic, covering the Passover and the Lord's Supper from Exodus 12 in the Old Testament and then Acts 11 in the New Testament. Now we'll look at things related to partaking of the Lord's table from Acts 11:17-34.

In the first letter written by the Apostle Paul to the congregation at Corinth, God the Holy Spirit revealed the misconceptions the congregation had, their incomplete understanding, their errors and their inappropriate behavior regarding partaking in the Lord's Table. He also told about the consequences of wrong participation, the remedies for correcting the errors, and also gave instructions on how to worthily participate in the Table. Even today, there are many misunderstandings among Christians regarding the Lord's Table, and many Christian Believers also partake in it as a formality. Also, there is a misconception among some Christian Believers and amongst most members of traditional or denominational churches that partaking in the Lord's Supper not only makes them righteous in the eyes of God, but also eligible to enter heaven. The basis of this misconception is their belief that because by partaking of the Lord's Supper they have within them parts of the Lord's imperishable body and blood, therefore, like the Lord, they too will never perish. And that is why, whenever the Lord's Supper is given in those churches, the number of people attending the meeting on that day increases greatly.  But this false notion of theirs has no basis or support from the Bible. That is why the related teachings of God's Word, that were necessary and important for the church in Corinth then, are just as necessary and as important for us today, as they were for them then.

In this brief study of this topic, we will first look at some essential preliminary points and then look at the teachings from Acts 11:17-34, under the following seven points:

1. Background to the Lord's Table

2. Establishing of the Lord's Table

3. Preparation for the Lord's Table – A Rebuke – Verses 17-22

4. The Lord's instructions for the Lord's Table - Purpose - verses 23-26

5. Implications of Participating in the Lord's Table - How to Partake - Verses 27-28

6. Consequences of improperly partaking of the Lord's Table - verses 29-30

7. Final Comments – Verses 31-34

Partaking of the Lord's Table is not to be taken lightly, nor should it be treated as a formality. There are blessings for partaking in the table in a worthy manner, but there are also dire consequences for partaking improperly. Contrary to popular belief about the table, partaking of the table does not make any one a Christian, nor does it qualify one as righteous before God, nor does it guarantee one's entry into heaven. In the next article we will begin to consider the Bible's teachings about this table and the necessity for true Christian Believers to participate in it, and do so worthily.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

मसीही विश्वासी की बढ़ोतरी और कलीसिया की उन्नति के लिए, परमेश्वर के लोगों को परमेश्वर के वचन में दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन करना है। प्रेरितों 2 तथा 15 अध्याय में व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन जीने से संबंधित कुछ शिक्षाएं दी गई हैं। पिछले कुछ लेखों से हम प्रेरितों 2:42 में दी गई चार शिक्षाओं पर विचार कर रहे हैं जिन्हें “मसीही विश्वास के स्तम्भ” भी कहा जाता है। इन चारों में से पहले स्तम्भ - यत्न से और लौलीन होकर परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन करना को देखने के बाद अब हम दूसरे स्तम्भ, यत्न से और लौलीन होकर संगति रखना के बारे में परमेश्वर के वचन से सीख रहे हैं। अभी तक हमने इस विषय पर जो कुछ सीखा है, आज उसकी समीक्षा करने के बाद, अगले लेख से हम तीसरे स्तम्भ, “रोटी तोड़ना” या प्रभु-भोज के बारे में देखना आरंभ करेंगे।

मसीही विश्वासियों द्वारा परस्पर संगति करने तथा संगति को बनाए रखने के बारे में, परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल से अभी तक हम देख चुके हैं कि:

 

संगति रखना नए नियम में दी गई कोई नई धारणा नहीं है, वरन मनुष्य की सृष्टि के समय से ही यह परमेश्वर की इच्छा रही है। परमेश्वर ने मनुष्य को अपने स्वरूप में इसी लिया सृजा, कि उसके साथ संगति रख सके; और इसी संगति के लिए परमेश्वर अदन की वाटिका में मनुष्य से मिलने आया करता था।

 

परमेश्वर की मूल योजना में, मनुष्य को दो आयामों में संगति रखनी थी - आत्मिक और शारीरिक। मनुष्य की पहली या आत्मिक संगति परमेश्वर के साथ, और दूसरी यानि शारीरिक संगति अन्य मनुष्यों के साथ रहनी थी। मनुष्य की अनाज्ञाकारिता से सृष्टि में पाप के प्रवेश और उसके दुष्प्रभावों के कारण परमेश्वर और मनुष्य की संगति टूट गई, तथा मनुष्य की मनुष्य के साथ संगति की मनोहरता और सामंजस्य बाधित हो गए।

  

परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में बहाल हुए बिना, मनुष्यों औरों के साथ भी सही संगति बना कर नहीं रख सकता है; किन्तु यदि परमेश्वर के साथ संगति सही हो तो फिर मनुष्यों के साथ सही संगति रखना भी सहज हो जाता है।

आज भी प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के लिए उन्हीं दो मूल आयामों में संगति रखना अनिवार्य है - पहले आत्मिक रीति से परमेश्वर के साथ; और दूसरे शारीरिक रीति से, अन्य मनुष्यों, अर्थात परिवार के, पड़ोस के, समाज के लोगों के साथ; दोनों तरह की संगति के अपने-अपने महत्व और आवश्यकताएं हैं।

 

संगति में बिगाड़ या बाधा का मूल कारण पाप है; जहाँ पाप होगा वहाँ संगति भी नहीं रहेगी, न तो परमेश्वर के साथ, और न ही मनुष्यों के साथ। पाप के निवारण के साथ दोनों आयामों में संगति की बहाली भी हो जाती है।

 

मसीही विश्वास में संगति का आधारभूत स्वरूप परिवार और पारिवारिक सम्बन्ध हैं। जब हम उद्धार पाते हैं और परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में बहाल होते हैं, तो उसके परिवार के सदस्य बन जाते हैं। यह हमें अन्य मसीही विश्वासियों के साथ इस पृथ्वी पर भी एक सार्वभौमिक, विश्वव्यापी मसीही परिवार का सदस्य बना देता है, जिस में सभी समान स्तर के हैं, प्रभु यीशु के भाई-बहन हैं। और इससे परस्पर मतभेद और विरोध का, किसी भी प्रकार के ऊँच-नीच का, किसी भी संघर्ष का आधार ही समाप्त हो जाता है और मेल-मिलाप के साथ रहना सहज हो जाता है।

 

मसीही विश्वासियों और कलीसिया के लिए, इस संगति में एक अद्भुत सामर्थ्य है। जहाँ मसीही विश्वासियों की परस्पर संगति सही है, उनमें एक-मनता है, वहाँ उनके मध्य में प्रभु की उपस्थिति है, और फिर उनमें होकर प्रभु की सामर्थ्य काम करती है; जो शैतान और उसकी योजनाओं के लिए घातक है।

 

इसीलिए शैतान इस प्रकार की संगति को बने नहीं रहने देना चाहता है। इस सामर्थी संगति के दोनों आयामों को तोड़ने, बिगाड़ने के लिए वह उसी उपाय को उपयोग करता है, जिसे उसने अदन की वाटिका में संगति तोड़ने के लिए किया था - पाप में गिराना; क्योंकि जहाँ पाप होगा, वहाँ संगति नहीं होगी।

 

अपनी इस योजना को सफलता-पूर्वक कार्यान्वित करने के लिए, शैतान को मसीही विश्वासियों को किसी घोर या जघन्य पाप में फँसाने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। वह एक बहुत साधारण और महत्वहीन दिखने वाली बात के द्वारा ही अपने उद्देश्य को पूरा कर लेता है। आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासी प्रेरितों 2:42 की जिन चार बातों में लौलीन रहा करते थे, आज सामान्यतः उन्हें मात्र एक औपचारिकता के समान पूरा किया जाता है। समझौते और औपचारिकता के इस अप्रत्यक्ष पाप ने मसीही विश्वासियों को उनकी ईश्वरीय सामर्थ्य के स्त्रोत से दूर कर दिया है।

 

व्यवसाय या काम की, पारिवारिक जिम्मेदारियों के निर्वाह की, सामाजिक औपचारिकताओं के निर्वाह की, और इसी प्रकार की अनेकों प्रकार की बातों की ‘व्यस्तता’ और उन के कारण शारीरिक एवं मानसिक थकान होने की भावना को मनों में डालकर, शैतान मसीही विश्वासी को बहका कर उसे परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के साथ समय बिताने से दूर; किन्तु संसार के मनोरंजन के साधनों - टीवी, इंटरनेट, फोन के उपयोग आदि के साथ समय बिताने में फंसा देता है। लोग सोचते हैं कि इन माध्यमों के द्वारा वे आराम कर रहे हैं, तनाव को कम कर रहे हैं; किन्तु वास्तव में ये समय को खराब और तनाव को बढ़ाने के, और सँसार तथा सँसार की बातों को मसीही विश्वासियों के जीवनों और परिवारों में घुसाने के तरीके हैं। शैतान ने इन माध्यमों के द्वारा लोगों की प्राथमिकताओं को परमेश्वर और उसके वचन से हटाकर संसार और संसार की बातों के निर्वाह पर लगा दिया है।

 

परिणामस्वरूप, मसीही विश्वासी बड़ी आसानी से सांसारिकता, संसार, और संसार के लोगों के साथ समझौते कर लेते है, उन्हीं के समान व्यवहार करने लगते हैं, उन्हें ही प्राथमिकता और महत्व देने लगते हैं। अपने विवेक को शान्त करने के लिए मण्डली आने, प्रार्थना और आराधना करने, वचन का कोई छोटा सा भाग पढ़ लेने, आदि गतिविधियों की औपचारिकताओं को तो निभाते हैं, किन्तु वास्तव में और मन से वह परमेश्वर, परिवार, तथा मण्डली की संगति से अलग हो जाते हैं।

शैतान के लिए इतना ही पर्याप्त है; अब ऐसे मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर और मनुष्यों, दोनों आयामों की संगति से दूर हैं। अब संगति से उन्हें मिलने वाली उन की सामर्थ्य जाती रही है, और अब वे परमेश्वर के कार्यों में उपयोग नहीं हो सकते हैं। इसलिए अब शैतान को उन से खतरा नहीं रहा, बल्कि उन्हें उदाहरण बनाकर वह औरों को भी अपनी युक्तियों में फँसाने के लिए बहकाता और भरमाता है, तथा ऐसे मसीही विश्वासियों में होकर वह परमेश्वर का, उसके वचन का, और उस में विश्वास करने का ठट्ठा भी उड़ाता है।

 

मसीही विश्वासी की इस दुर्गति का एक ही समाधान है, पश्चाताप के साथ परमेश्वर के पास लौट आए, अपनी प्राथमिकताओं को ठीक करके, अपने जीवन में परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के प्राथमिक स्थान को बहाल करे, और परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में अपनी जिम्मेदारियों का निर्वाह, और समय का सदुपयोग करना सीखे।

 

अगले लेख से हम प्रेरितों 2:42 में दिए गए तीसरे स्तम्भ, “रोटी तोड़ना” या प्रभु-भोज में सम्मिलित होने के बारे में विचार करना आरम्भ करेंगे।

For the spiritual growth of the Christian Believers and the edification of the church, God's people are to follow the instructions given in God's Word. Acts chapters 2 and 15 provide some teachings related to practical Christian living. Over the past few articles, we have been considering four teachings given in Acts 2:42, also known as “the pillars of the Christian faith.” Having considered the first of these four pillars i.e., studying God's Word steadfastly and diligently, we are now learning from God's Word about the second pillar, i.e., steadfastly and diligently keeping fellowship. Today we will review what we have learned on this subject so far; then from the next article we will begin to look at the third pillar, the “breaking of bread” or the Lord's Supper.

About the Christian Believers being in and maintaining fellowship, we have seen so far from God's Word, the Bible that:

Keeping fellowship is not a new concept given in the New Testament, but it has been God's desire since the creation of man. God created man in His image so that He could have fellowship with him; And for having this fellowship, God used to come to meet man in the Garden of Eden.

In the original plan of God, man was to have fellowship in two dimensions—spiritual and physical. Man’s first or spiritual fellowship was to be with God, and his second or physical fellowship was to be with other humans. Due to man's disobedience, sin entered creation and its deleterious effects caused the fellowship between God and man to be broken, and the beauty and harmony of man's fellowship with man was disrupted.

Without being restored to fellowship with God, men cannot maintain true fellowship with others either; But if we have the right fellowship with God, then it becomes easy to have the right fellowship with people too.

Even today, it is essential for every Christian to have fellowship in the same two basic dimensions – first, spiritually with God; And second, physically, with other people, i.e. people from family, neighborhood, society; Both types of fellowships have their own importance and requirements.

The root cause of loss or hindrance in fellowship is sin; Where there is sin there will be no fellowship, neither with God nor with men. With the remission of sin comes the restoration of fellowship in both dimensions.

The basic form of fellowship in the Christian faith, is family and the family relationships. When we are saved and restored to fellowship with God, we become members of His family. This makes us, along with other Christians on earth, a part of the universal, worldwide Christian family in which all are equal, as brothers and sisters of the Lord Jesus. And because of this, the basis of mutual differences and opposition, any kind of discrimination, any conflict gets eliminated and it becomes easy to live in harmony.

For Christians and the church, there is a wonderful power in this fellowship. When Christians have good fellowship with each other, they will also be in unity, the Lord’s presence will be amongst them, and then the power of the Lord will work through them; which is detrimental for Satan and his plans.

That is why Satan does not want such fellowship to continue. To break and distort both dimensions of this powerful fellowship, He uses the same ploy that He used to break the fellowship in the Garden of Eden – fall into committing sin; Because where there is sin, there will be no fellowship.

To successfully carry out his plan, Satan does not need to entice Christians into committing any grave or heinous sin. He accomplishes his purpose through a very simple and seemingly insignificant thing. The four points of Acts 2:42 that the early Christians were engaged in steadfastly, are today generally observed and fulfilled merely as a formality. This non-apparent sin of compromise and formality has distanced the Christian Believers from their source of divine power.

By instilling in their minds, the feeling of being 'busy' because of things like business or work, of fulfilling family responsibilities, of fulfilling social obligations, and of being occupied with many other such things, resulting in physical and mental fatigue, Satan lures the Christian Believers away from spending time with God and His Word; instead traps them in spending time with the world's means of entertainment - TV, Internet, use of phone etc. People think that through these mediums they are relaxing, reducing their stress; but in reality these are ways to waste time and increase stress, the means through which the world and the things of the world are brought into the life and families of the Christian Believers. Through these means, Satan has shifted people's priorities away from God and His Word and toward the world and the things of the world.

As a result, Christians easily compromise with worldliness, with the things of the world, and with the people of the world, giving them priority and importance. To calm their conscience, they may go through the formalities of attending church, of praying and worshiping, of reading a small portion of the Word, etc., but in reality, and in their hearts, they have become separated from God, God’s family, and fellowship with the congregation.

That is all that Satan needs; now such Christian Believers are far from fellowship with both God and man. Now the strength they received from fellowship has been lost, and they can no longer be used effectively in the work of God. Therefore, Satan is no longer in any danger from them; but by using them as an example, he induces and misleads others to also fall into his schemes, and through such Christian Believers, he mocks God, His Word, and faith in Him.

The Christian Believer has only one solution to this predicament, i.e., return to God in repentance, get his priorities right, restore the primary place of God and His Word in his life; and under the leading of God's Holy Spirit, learn to live up to his responsibilities, and make good use of time.

From the next article, we will start considering the third pillar given in Acts 2:42, i.e., “breaking of bread” or participating in the Lord’s Table.

You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

मसीही जीवन के चार स्तम्भ - 2 - संगति (6) 

ऐसा व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन जीने के लिए, जिससे मसीही विश्वासी की बढ़ोतरी, तथा कलीसिया की उन्नति हो, हमें परमेश्वर के वचन में दिए गए निर्देशों का पालन करना आवश्यक है। इस सन्दर्भ में, वर्तमान में हम प्रेरितों 2:42 में दी गई चार बातों, जिन्हें “मसीही विश्वास के स्तम्भ” भी कहा जाता है, पर विचार कर रहे हैं। हम इन चारों में से पहले ‘स्तम्भ’ अर्थात परमेश्वर के वचन के अध्ययन के बारे में देख चुके हैं; और अब दूसरे ‘स्तम्भ’ अर्थात संगति रखने पर विचार कर रहे हैं। पिछले लेख में हमने देखा है कि शैतान किस प्रकार से मसीही विश्वासियों को बहका कर, भरमा कर संसार और संसार के लोगों के साथ समझौता करने के पाप में डाल देता है, और उन्हें संगति से दूर कर देता है। ऐसे विश्वासियों का उदाहरण बनाकर शैतान फिर परमेश्वर में विश्वास करने वालों का तमाशा बनाता है, और परमेश्वर को, तथा उसके वचन को ठट्ठों में उड़ाता है। आज हम यहाँ से आगे देखेंगे।

  

परमेश्वर शैतान की इस युक्ति से अनजान नहीं है, और न ही इसके विरुद्ध निरुपाय है। परमेश्वर ने इसका प्रावधान भी कर के दिया है; लेकिन समाधान तब ही कार्यकारी और प्रभावी होता है, जब उस समाधान की आवश्यकता को पहचान कर, उस समाधान को स्वीकार कर के, बताए गए तरीके से उसे लागू किया जाए, और फिर निरन्तर उस का निर्वाह करते रहें। समाधान सीधा और स्पष्ट है - परमेश्वर के निर्देशों और उसके वचन का पालन करना। अर्थात, अपने जीवन में परमेश्वर और उसके वचन की प्राथमिकता को पुनःस्थापित करना; लौलीन होकर, यत्न के साथ, परमेश्वर के वचन का अध्ययन करना, और उसका पालन करना। अपनी गलती को मानकर सच्चे मन से परमेश्वर की ओर मुड़ने से, उस गिरा दिए गए पहले स्तम्भ को अपने जीवनों में फिर से खड़ा कर लेने से, परमेश्वर के साथ संगति बहाल हो जाती है “जिस के पास मेरी आज्ञा है, और वह उन्हें मानता है, वही मुझ से प्रेम रखता है, और जो मुझ से प्रेम रखता है, उस से मेरा पिता प्रेम रखेगा, और मैं उस से प्रेम रखूंगा, और अपने आप को उस पर प्रगट करूंगा।”; “यीशु ने उसको उत्तर दिया, यदि कोई मुझ से प्रेम रखे, तो वह मेरे वचन को मानेगा, और मेरा पिता उस से प्रेम रखेगा, और हम उसके पास आएंगे, और उसके साथ वास करेंगे।” (यूहन्ना 14:21, 23)।

 

परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में बने न रहने की समस्या हम मसीही विश्वासियों ने, शैतान की बातों और बहकावे में पड़कर, अपने लिए स्वयं ही उत्पन्न की है। जब तक हम अपने जीवनों में सांसारिकता के, संसार के समान चलने और व्यवहार करने के, परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के नहीं वरन मनुष्यों और उनकी गढ़ी हुई शिक्षाओं के पालन को प्राथमिकता एवं महत्व देने के, और ऐसे ही अन्य पापों को पाप के रूप में नहीं देखेंगे और पाप के समान उनके साथ व्यवहार करके उसका निवारण नहीं करेंगे, समस्या बनी ही रहेगी, परमेश्वर की आशीष, देखभाल, और मार्गदर्शन रुके ही रहेंगे। हम परमेश्वर और उसके वचन को प्राथमिकता देने के स्थान पर केवल औपचारिकताओं का निर्वाह करने के द्वारा समझते हैं, कि हमने तो अपना कर्तव्य पूरा कर लिया है, अब परमेश्वर को भी अपनी बात पूरी करनी चाहिए। हम परमेश्वर से उसके वचन को सीखने और फिर उसका पालन करने की बजाए, मनुष्यों को महत्व और प्राथमिकता देने लगते हैं और उनकी ओर देखने लगते हैं। अपने आप को मनुष्यों पर निर्भर कर लेते हैं, वचन को मनुष्यों से सीखते हैं, मनुष्यों का अनुसरण करने लगते हैं, उनकी बातों को मानने से पहले उन्हें वचन से जाँचे या परखे बिना ही मनुष्यों की कही हुई बातों का पालन करने लगते हैं, और इन कारणों से शैतान की युक्तियों में फंसे रहते हैं। हमने ऊपर देखा है कि पाप का निवारण और पाप से उत्पन्न होने वाली समस्याओं का समाधान पापों की क्षमा है। जब भी विश्वासी पाप करे, उसके पापों के लिए उसे परमेश्वर से क्षमा उपलब्ध है “यदि हम अपने पापों को मान लें, तो वह हमारे पापों को क्षमा करने, और हमें सब अधर्म से शुद्ध करने में विश्वासयोग्य और धर्मी है” (1 यूहन्ना 1:9); और पाप क्षमा होने के साथ ही परमेश्वर से संगति भी बहाल हो जाती है।

 

इसी प्रकार पाप द्वारा मनुष्यों में परस्पर संगति टूटने और सम्बन्धों में समस्याएँ आ जाने का भी यही समाधान है - परमेश्वर के वचन के अनुसार प्रभु का सा दीनता और नम्रता का स्वभाव रखना, सहनशील होना, क्षमा माँगना और देना:

• इफिसियों 4:31-32 “सब प्रकार की कड़वाहट और प्रकोप और क्रोध, और कलह, और निन्‍दा सब बैरभाव समेत तुम से दूर की जाए। और एक दूसरे पर कृपालु, और करुणामय हो, और जैसे परमेश्वर ने मसीह में तुम्हारे अपराध क्षमा किए, वैसे ही तुम भी एक दूसरे के अपराध क्षमा करो।”

• फिलिप्पियों 2:1-5 “सो यदि मसीह में कुछ शान्‍ति और प्रेम से ढाढ़स और आत्मा की सहभागिता, और कुछ करुणा और दया है। तो मेरा यह आनन्द पूरा करो कि एक मन रहो और एक ही प्रेम, एक ही चित्त, और एक ही मनसा रखो। विरोध या झूठी बड़ाई के लिये कुछ न करो पर दीनता से एक दूसरे को अपने से अच्छा समझो। हर एक अपनी ही हित की नहीं, वरन दूसरों की हित की भी चिन्‍ता करे। जैसा मसीह यीशु का स्‍वभाव था वैसा ही तुम्हारा भी स्‍वभाव हो।”

• कुलुस्सियों 3:12-15 “इसलिये परमेश्वर के चुने हुओं की नाईं जो पवित्र और प्रिय हैं, बड़ी करुणा, और भलाई, और दीनता, और नम्रता, और सहनशीलता धारण करो। और यदि किसी को किसी पर दोष देने को कोई कारण हो, तो एक दूसरे की सह लो, और एक दूसरे के अपराध क्षमा करो: जैसे प्रभु ने तुम्हारे अपराध क्षमा किए, वैसे ही तुम भी करो। और इन सब के ऊपर प्रेम को जो सिद्धता का कटिबन्‍ध है बान्‍ध लो। और मसीह की शान्‍ति जिस के लिये तुम एक देह हो कर बुलाए भी गए हो, तुम्हारे हृदय में राज्य करे, और तुम धन्यवादी बने रहो।”

मसीही विश्वासियों को सक्रिय विश्वास का जीवन जीना पड़ेगा; समस्या के निवारण के लिए केवल प्रार्थना ही नहीं करनी है, बल्कि परमेश्वर के वचन में दिए गए उपाय का निर्वाह भी करना है। वचन का पालन करेंगे तो परमेश्वर से संगति बनी रहेगी। परमेश्वर से संगति सही होगी, तो मनुष्यों के साथ भी संगति सही हो जाएगी, प्रेम और एक-मनता आ जाएगी। जब परमेश्वर के लोगों में परस्पर संगति, प्रेम और एक-मनता होंगे, तो प्रभु की सामर्थ्य भी उनके साथ होगी, और तब वे शैतान और उसकी युक्तियों में नहीं फँसेंगे, वे प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी और एक जयवन्त मसीही जीवन जीने वाले लोग होंगे।

 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 2 - Fellowship (6)

 

To live a practical Christian life that leads to the growth of the Christian Believer and the edification of the Church, we must follow the instructions given in God's Word. In this context, we are currently considering the four points found in Acts 2:42, also known as the “Pillars of the Christian faith.” We have already seen the first of these four ‘pillars,’ i.e., the study of the Word of God; we are now considering the second ‘pillar,’ i.e., Fellowship. In the previous article we saw how Satan deceives and misleads Christians into the sin of compromising with the world and the people of the world, and thereby breaks them away from fellowship with Go and His people. By using such believers as an example, Satan then makes a mockery of coming to faith in the Lord, of God, and of His Word. Today we will look ahead from here.

God is not unaware of Satan's tactics, nor is He helpless against them. God has already made provision for this; but the remedy can only be made functional and effective, when the need for that remedy is recognized, that remedy is accepted, is implemented in the prescribed manner, and then is followed regularly. The remedy is simple and obvious – follow God's instructions and His Word. That is, restore the priority of God and His Word in your life; begin diligently, and steadfastly studying God's Word and obeying it. Accepting your error and turning to God with a true heart, restoring that first fallen pillar in your life, restores the fellowship with God "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." "Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him." (John 14:21, 23).

We Christians, by falling prey to Satan's suggestions and deception, have created for ourselves the problem of not maintaining our fellowship with God. Unless we recognize the presence of worldliness in our lives, our living and behaving like the world, our giving priority and importance to following men and their contrived teachings rather than God and His Word, and other such sins; unless we see these and other such things that are present in our lives as the sin that they are, and treat them like sin, the problem will remain. Consequently, God's blessings, care, and guidance will remain absent from our lives. Instead of giving the actual priority to God and His Word in our lives, we merely carry on treating them as rituals and formalities; and then we think that since we have done our duty, therefore, now God must also do His part. Instead of learning His Word from God and then obeying it, we begin to give importance and priority to men and look up to them. We make ourselves dependent on men, learn the Word from men, follow men, do what men say without first checking and affirming what they say from the Word of God, before accepting and following their words, and because of these reasons we remain trapped in the schemes of the devil. We have seen above that the remedy for sin and the solution to the problems arising from sin is forgiveness of sins. Whenever a believer sins, he readily has available to him forgiveness from God for his sins "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9).

Similarly, the same remedy is applicable for the sins that break our fellowship with other people, and creates problems in our relationships. According to God's Word, like it was with the Lord, we too need to maintain an attitude of humility and meekness, to be tolerant, be willing to ask for and give forgiveness:

·        Ephesians 4:31-32 "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you."

·        Philippians 2:1-5 "Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus."

·        Colossians 3:12-15 "Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful."

Christians must live a life of active faith; To solve the problem, one must not only pray about it, but also carry out the remedies given in God's Word for it. If we obey God’s Word, we will remain in fellowship with God. If the fellowship with God is right, then our fellowship with people will also be right, there will be love and unity. When God's people have mutual fellowship, love, and unity, then the power of the Lord will also be with them. Then they will no longer be trapped by Satan and his schemes, and will be people who not only are useful to the Lord but also live a victorious Christian life.
