पिछले लेख में हमने व्यवस्था की माँग देखी थी कि उसका पालन उसकी सम्पूर्णता में किया जाना अनिवार्य है, अन्यथा एक भी चूक अन्य सभी को व्यर्थ कर देती है (गलातियों 3:10; याकूब 2:10)। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि इस माँग को कभी कोई पूरा नहीं करने पाया है (प्रेरितों 15:10); इसे पूरा करना मनुष्य के लिए असंभव है। इस असंभव माँग के साथ एक और बात भी जुड़ी हुई है, कि व्यवस्था मनुष्य को परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में बहाल करने के लिए अक्षम है।

यह बाइबल का तथ्य है कि व्यक्ति जैसे ही पापों से पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से पापों की क्षमा प्राप्त करके, प्रभु का जन बनता है, और अपना जीवन प्रभु को समर्पित करता है, उसी पल से उसका शरीर परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा का मंदिर बन जाता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16; 6:19), और पवित्र आत्मा उसी क्षण से उसमें आकर निवास करने लगता है (इफिसियों 1:13)। इसी बात के संदर्भ में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने पौलुस प्रेरित के द्वारा गलातिया के मसीही विश्वासियों के सामने प्रश्न रखा (गलातीयों 3:1-5), क्योंकि वो लोग व्यवस्था के पालन की ओर भटकने लग गए थे। प्रश्न था, “मैं तुम से केवल यह जानना चाहता हूं, कि तुम ने आत्मा को, क्या व्यवस्था के कामों से, या विश्वास के समाचार से पाया?” (गलातियों 3:2); “सो जो तुम्हें आत्मा दान करता और तुम में सामर्थ्य के काम करता है, वह क्या व्यवस्था के कामों से या विश्वास के सुसमाचार से ऐसा करता है?” (गलातियों 3:5)। पौलुस में होकर, पवित्र आत्मा ने पूछा है कि जब तुम ने पवित्र आत्मा विश्वास के सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करने से पाया है, उस विश्वास के सुसमाचार के पालन ने ही परमेश्वर के साथ तुम्हारी संगति फिर से स्थापित की है; वह तुम्हारे अंदर, तुम्हारे साथ रहने लगा है, तो फिर अब तुम विश्वास को छोड़कर व्यवस्था की ओर क्यों जा रहे हो? जब कि यह जानते हो कि व्यवस्था के पालन के द्वारा परमेश्वर के साथ तुम्हारी संगति बहाल नहीं हो सकती है?

जो प्रश्न पवित्र आत्मा ने गलातिया के मसीही विश्वासियों के सामने रखा था, वही आज हमारे सामने भी है, विशेषकर उनके सामने जो रीतियों, नियमों, परंपराओं, त्यौहारों आदि की “व्यवस्था” के पालन के द्वारा परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी ठहरना चाहते हैं। पौलुस ने स्पष्ट लिखा है, “पर यह बात प्रगट है, कि व्यवस्था के द्वारा परमेश्वर के यहां कोई धर्मी नहीं ठहरता क्योंकि धर्मी जन विश्वास से जीवित रहेगा” (गलातियों 3:11)। इसलिए, अभी के लिए, यदि आप अपने आप को किसी भी प्रकार की “व्यवस्था” - वह चाहे परमेश्वर की हो, या आपके धर्म, मत, समुदाय, या डिनॉमिनेशन की हो - के पालन के द्वारा धर्मी बनाने के, और अपने शरीर के कार्यों के द्वारा अपने आप को परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य बनाने के प्रयासों में लगे हैं; तो ध्यान देकर समझ लीजिए कि परमेश्वर का वचन स्पष्ट बताता है कि व्यवस्था के पालन के द्वारा नहीं, वरन, परमेश्वर के दिए हुए पश्चाताप और प्रभु को समर्पण करने के मार्ग का पालन करने के द्वारा ही आप परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी और उसे स्वीकार्य बन सकते हैं, और परमेश्वर से आपका मेल-मिलाप होता है (रोमियों 5:1,11)। अभी समय और अवसर रहते सही मार्ग अपना लें, और व्यर्थ तथा निष्फल मार्ग को छोड़ दें।

 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Law’s Demands - 2

 

In the previous article we had seen the demand of the law, that it is mandatory to obey it in its entirety, one mistake, one error renders everything else vain (Galatians 3:10; James 2:10). We had also seen that it is impossible for man to fulfil this demand (Acts 15:10); no man has ever been able to do so. This impossible demand is associated with another limitation, that the Law is incapable of restoring man back into fellowship with God.

It is a Biblical fact that as soon as a person repents of sins, receives the forgiveness of sins from the Lord Jesus, accepts as Jesus as Lord, and submits his life to Him, from that very moment his body becomes the temple of God's Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19); and the Holy Spirit comes in to reside in him (Ephesians 1:13). It was in this context that God the Holy Spirit put a question to the Galatian Christians through the apostle Paul (Galatians 3:1-5), since they had begun to deviate toward the observance of the Law. The question was, "This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?" (Galatians 3:2); "Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?" (Galatians 3:5). Through Paul, the Holy Spirit asked that though you have received the Holy Spirit because of believing the gospel of faith; it is by obeying that gospel of faith that you have been accepted and re-established into fellowship with God, and He has started residing in you, with you; so why are you now deviating from the faith and going to the Law? Despite knowing very well that your fellowship with God cannot be restored by keeping the Law?

The question that the Holy Spirit posed to the Galatian Christians, the same question is equally valid for us today; especially for those who want to be justified in the sight of God by observing the "law" of customs, rules & regulations, traditions, festivals, etc. Paul wrote clearly, "But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for "the just shall live by faith" (Galatians 3:11). So, for now, if you are wanting to justify yourself by observing any sort of "law" — whether that of God, or of your religion, creed, community, or denomination — and are trying to make yourself acceptable to God through the works of the flesh; then pay heed and understand that God's Word clearly states, that you become righteous and acceptable to God, are reconciled with Him, not by keeping the Law, but only by following the God given path of repentance and submission to the Lord (Romans 5:1, 11). Therefore, while you have the time and the opportunity, take the right decision, decide on the right path, and leave the useless and fruitless path.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

प्रभु यीशु के लोगों के लिए चौथे स्तंभ, प्रार्थना का महत्व

प्रभु की कलीसिया में, प्रभु द्वारा जोड़ दिए लोगों के जीवनों में, कलीसिया के आरंभ के समय से ही सात बातें देखी जाती रही हैं, जिन्हें प्रेरितों 2:38-42 में दिया गया है। इनमें से अंतिम चार, एक साथ, प्रेरितों 2:42 में दी गई हैं, और इन्हें मसीही जीवन तथा कलीसिया की स्थिरता के लिए चार स्तंभ भी कहा जाता है; तथा इनके लिए इसी पद में यह भी लिखा है कि उस आरंभिक कलीसिया के लोग इन बातों का पालन करने में “लौलीन रहे”। हमने इन चारों में से पहली तीन, और सातों में से पहली छः बातों को पिछले लेखों में देखा है। आज इन चार में से चौथी तथा सात में से सातवीं बात, प्रार्थना में लौलीन रहने के बारे में देखते हैं।

यहाँ हम देखते हैं कि प्रभु यीशु के उन आरंभिक अनुयायियों के जीवन में, आरंभ से ही प्रार्थना करने का बहुत महत्व रहा है। सामान्यतः परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करने को परमेश्वर से कुछ माँगने या उससे प्राप्त करने के प्रयास करने के अभिप्राय से देखा और समझा जाता है। किन्तु परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के अनुसार परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना का अभिप्राय होता है परमेश्वर से वार्तालाप करना, जैसा प्रभु यीशु मसीह बहुधा किया करते थे (मरकुस 1:35; मत्ती 14:23; लूका 5:16; 6:12-13)। यह वार्तालाप औपचारिकता का निर्वाह नहीं, अपितु, किसी अंतरंग मित्र के साथ दिल खोल कर बात करने के समान है। अपने मन की बात परमेश्वर से खुल कर कहना, और परमेश्वर के मन की बात को उससे सुनना। अर्थात, प्रार्थना करना, परमेश्वर से संगति करने के समान है, निरंतर हर बात के लिए उसके संपर्क में बने रहना, हर बात के लिए उसकी इच्छा जानकर उसके अनुसार कार्य करना। जब मसीही विश्वासी परमेश्वर के साथ ऐसे निकट संबंध और संपर्क में रहेगा, परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार अपना हर निर्णय और कार्य करेगा, तो स्वतः ही न केवल उसकी प्रार्थनाओं का सकारात्मक उत्तर मिलेगा (यूहन्ना 15:7; 1 यूहन्ना 5:14), वरन् साथ ही उसके जीवन में परमेश्वर की सामर्थ्य भी प्रकट रहेगी, उसके कार्य भी सफल होंगे, और वह परिस्थितियों द्वारा विचलित और निराश भी नहीं होगा। यह इसलिए क्योंकि उसे विश्वास रहेगा के जो कुछ भी उसके जीवन में हो रहा है, वह परमेश्वर की इच्छा और योजना के अंतर्गत है, और अन्ततः उससे उसकी भलाई ही होगी (रोमियों 8:28)।

इसीलिए परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस द्वारा लिखवाया, “निरन्तर प्रार्थना में लगे रहो” (1 थिस्स्लुनीकियों 5:17)। इसका यह तात्पर्य नहीं है कि सब कार्य छोड़कर किसी एकांत स्थान में आँख बंद करके और हाथ जोड़कर बैठे रहो और परमेश्वर से कुछ न कुछ कहते रहो। वरन् यह कि हर समय, हर बात के लिए, परमेश्वर के साथ मन में एक मूक संवाद, एक वार्तालाप चलते रहना चाहिए, हर बात के लिए उसकी इच्छा जानते रहना चाहिए, उसकी इच्छा के अनुसार करते रहना चाहिए। जो इस प्रकार परमेश्वर के साथ अपना घनिष्ठ संबंध बनाए रखते हैं, वे प्रभु के इस वचन को भी समझ सकते हैं और उसके प्रति आश्वस्त रह सकते हैं कि समय और आवश्यकता के अनुसार उन्हें प्रभु से वचन और सहायता मिलती रहेगी (यशायाह 30:21; लूका 12:11-12); तथा वे इन अंत के दिनों की भयानक घटनाओं से बचने और शांति के साथ रहने वाले भी होंगे (लूका 21:34-36; प्रकाशितवाक्य 3:10)।

मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए प्रार्थना करना कुछ निर्धारित समयों पर, किसी तय संख्या के अनुसार गिनकर करना नहीं है, जैसा हम पुराने नियम के कुछ संतों और परमेश्वर के भक्तों के साथ देखते हैं (भजन 55:17; भजन 119:164; दानिय्येल 6:10), वरन् हर पल, हर समय परमेश्वर के साथ संपर्क में बने रहना, उससे हर बात के लिए वार्तालाप में बने रहना है। जो इस भाव में जीवन व्यतीत करेगा, फिर वह इस एहसास के साथ भी जीवन जीएगा कि मैं परमेश्वर के साथ, और परमेश्वर मेरे साथ निरंतर विद्यमान हैं। और ऐसी स्थिति में फिर उसके लिए किसी लोभ-लालच, बुरे विचार आदि में बहक कर पाप में गिरना कठिन हो जाएगा, वह शैतान के द्वारा सरलता से बहकाया-गिराया नहीं जाएगा। आप स्वयं अनुमान लगा सकते हैं कि जो इस प्रकार से प्रार्थना में “लौलीन” रहेगा, उसके  आत्मिक जीवन का स्तर कैसा होगा। साथ ही, परमेश्वर के साथ इस प्रकार से संगति और संपर्क वही बना कर रख सकता है, जो प्रभु द्वारा अपनाया गया हो, प्रभु की कलीसिया के साथ जोड़ा गया हो। किसी मानवीय या संस्थागत प्रक्रिया के निर्वाह के द्वारा “कलीसिया” से जुड़ने वाले व्यक्ति के लिए परमेश्वर के साथ इस प्रकार प्रार्थना में जुड़े रहना संभव ही नहीं होगा; और न ही उसके जीवन में प्रार्थना के उत्तर एवं सामर्थ्य दिखाई देगी।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपका प्रार्थना का जीवन कैसा है? क्या आपके लिए प्रार्थना करना परमेश्वर से कुछ माँगना ही है, या एक अंतरंग मित्र के समान उससे अपने दिल की सभी बातें साझा करना, तथा उसके दिल की बातों को जानकर उनके अनुसार कार्य एवं व्यवहार करना है? आप का प्रार्थना का जीवन और प्रार्थना के प्रति आपका रवैया प्रकट करेगा कि आप वास्तव में प्रभु द्वारा उसकी कलीसिया से जोड़े गए जन हैं कि नहीं। यदि कहीं कोई कमी है, किसी सुधार की आवश्यकता है, तो अभी समय रहते जो भी ठीक करना है, वह कर लीजिए; कहीं बाद में समय और अवसर न मिले और कोई बहुत भारी कीमत चुकानी पड़ जाए।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

English Translation

The Importance for the Lord’s People of the Fourth Pillar, Prayer

In the Church of the Lord Jesus, in the lives of the people joined to the Church by the Lord, since the inception of the Church, seven things have been seen, which are given in Acts 2:38-42. Of these seven the last four have been given together in one sentence, in Acts 2:42; it is also written in the same sentence that the members of the first Church “continued steadfastly” in them. These four have also been called the four pillars giving stability and firmness to Christian life and the Church. We have seen the first three of these four, i.e., the first six of the seven things in the previous articles. Today, we will look at the last one, the importance of praying steadfastly amongst the Lord’s people.

We see from this verse that in the lives of those initial disciples of the Lord, prayer had a very important place. Usually, prayer is seen and understood as asking something from God, or pleading to get something from Him. But according to God’s Word the Bible, prayer is conversing with God, as the Lord Jesus often used to do (Mark 1:35; Matthew 14:23; Luke 5:16; 6:12-13). This conversation is not the fulfillment of a formality, rather, it is having an open-hearted conversation with a close and dear friend. It is unhesitatingly, freely sharing all you have in your heart with God, and listening to what God has to say to you. In other words, to pray is like having a fellowship session with God, to be in close touch with Him for everything, learning His will and way for everything and doing accordingly. When a Christian Believer will remain in such close contact and relationship with God, will take every decision in God’s will and fulfill it too, then automatically his prayers will answered in the affirmative (John 15:7; 1 John 5:14), and also the power of God too will be manifest in his life, he will be successful in all that he does, and he will never be discouraged or overwhelmed with situations and problems. This is since he will know and keep trusting that whatever is happening in his life is in the will of God and eventually will turn out to be for his good (Romans 8:28).

That is why God the Holy Spirit had it written through the Apostle Paul, “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). This does not mean to leave everything aside and be sitting alone all the time with closed eyes and folded hands and keep saying something or the other to God. Rather, it means to be in a constant state of silent conversation with God about everything happening in and around you, and keep doing as the Lord God guides and directs in every situation. Those who maintain their close, intimate relationship with God in this manner, they can well understand this verse; they will always remain assured and confident that as and when they need God’s help and guidance, they will keep receiving it (Isaiah 30:21; Luke 12:11-12). They will also be able to live in peace and with confidence through the terrible events and things of these end times that we are in (Luke 21:34-36; Revelation 3:10).

For the Christian Believers there are no set times of the day or the prescribed number of times to pray, as we see in the lives of some of the Old Testament saints and prophets of God (Psalm 55:17; Psalm 119:164; Daniel 6:10). The Born-Again child of God is expected to remain in constant conversation and touch with God about everything. The person who lives with this attitude, will also be confident that at all times and for everything he is with God and God is with him. Then, with such confidence it will be very difficult for him to be led astray into sin through any temptation, covetousness, wrong thoughts and desires etc. and Satan will not be able to make him fall into his traps. You can imagine for yourself the high spiritual state of those who “continue steadfastly” in prayer in this manner. This also implies that this kind of constant fellowship and conversation is only possible for a person who has been accepted by the Lord and has been joined to His Church by the Lord. No person joined by any man, or any Institution devised process to the Church will be able to remain joined in prayer with God in this manner; nor will answered prayers and the power of prayer be seen in his life.

If you are a Christian Believer, then what is the state of your prayer life? Does prayer only mean asking God for things, or is it a time of sharing your heart with a close intimate friend, learning what is on His heart for you, and then living your life accordingly? Your prayer life and your attitude towards prayer will make evident whether you actually have been joined to the Lord’s Church or not. Evaluate and see, and if there is any deficiency anywhere, if there is anything that needs to be rectified, do it now while you have time and opportunity available from God. May it not be so that by the time you realize, and want to take any remedial measures, it is too late, and you end up paying a heavy price.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

दूसरा स्तंभ - संगति में साथ

अपने पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करने और प्रभु यीशु पर लाए गए विश्वास द्वारा पापों की क्षमा तथा उद्धार प्राप्त करने पर प्रभु व्यक्ति को अपनी कलीसिया, अपने लोगों के समूह के साथ जोड़ देता है। प्रभु की कलीसिया के साथ जोड़ दिए जाने वाले व्यक्तियों के जीवनों में आरंभ से ही सात बातें भी देखी जाती रही हैं, जिन्हें प्रेरितों 2:38-42 में बताया गया है। इन सात में से चार बातें, प्रेरितों 2:42 में लिखी गई हैं, और उनके लिए यह भी कहा गया है कि उस आरंभिक कलीसिया के लोग उन में “लौलीन रहे”। इन चार बातों को मसीही जीवन तथा कलीसिया को स्थिर और दृढ़ बनाए रखने वाले चार स्तंभ भी कहा जाता है। पिछले लेखों में हम सात में से चार बातें देख चुके हैं। आज हम पाँचवीं बात, जो 2:42 की दूसरी बात, और कलीसिया तथा मसीही जीवन का दूसरा स्तंभ है, ‘संगति रखना’ के बारे में देखेंगे।

सृष्टि के आरंभ से ही मनुष्य का अकेले रहना परमेश्वर को पसंद नहीं था; वह आदम को एक ऐसा सहायक देना चाहता था जो उससे मेल खाता हो (उत्पत्ति 2:18)। इसलिए परमेश्वर पहले पृथ्वी के सभी जीव-जंतुओं को आदम के पास लाया, आदम ने उन सभी के नाम रखे, किन्तु उनमें से कोई भी आदम से मेल रखने वाला, उसका सहायक बन सकने वाला नहीं मिला (उत्पत्ति 2:19-20)। आदम को यह एहसास दिलाने के बाद कि वह सारी सृष्टि के सभी जीवों से भिन्न है, परमेश्वर ने उसके समान एक सहायक की रचना करके उसे आदम के साथ रख दिया (उत्पत्ति 2:21-22)। अर्थात, सृष्टि के आरंभ से ही न केवल मनुष्य परस्पर संगति में रहते थे, वरन परमेश्वर भी उनके साथ संगति करता था, उनसे मिलने आता था (उत्पत्ति 3:8)। साथ ही, शैतान हव्वा को बहका कर पाप में तब ही गिराने पाया जब वह अकेली थी, और शैतान की बहकाने वाली तथा परमेश्वर के विरुद्ध बातों को सुनकर भी उसने आदम अथवा परमेश्वर की संगति में जाने का प्रयास नहीं किया (उत्पत्ति 3:1-2)। अकेली स्त्री पाप में गिरी, फिर उसने आदम को भी पाप गिराया (उत्पत्ति 3:6), और उस पाप के कारण वे दोनों परमेश्वर की संगति से भी दूर हो गए। परस्पर संगति में तथा परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में बने रहने में बहुत सामर्थ्य है; पाप में पतित और पाप के कारण भ्रष्ट बुद्धि वाले हम मनुष्य इसे नहीं समझते हैं, किन्तु शैतान इस जानता और समझता है; इसीलिए वह हमें भी एक-दूसरे से दूर रखने तथा हमें परमेश्वर से दूर रखने के विभिन्न उपाय कार्यान्वित करता रहता है, कि कहीं हम परस्पर और परमेश्वर के साथ संगति की सामर्थ्य को पहचान कर, एक-मनता के साथ रहें और उसके लिए परेशानी का कारण न बन जाएं।

राजा सुलैमान ने लिखा, एक से दो अच्छे हैं, क्योंकि उनके परिश्रम का अच्छा फल मिलता है। क्योंकि यदि उन में से एक गिरे, तो दूसरा उसको उठाएगा; परन्तु हाय उस पर जो अकेला हो कर गिरे और उसका कोई उठाने वाला न हो। फिर यदि दो जन एक संग सोए तो वे गर्म रहेंगे, परन्तु कोई अकेला क्योंकर गर्म हो सकता है? यदि कोई अकेले पर प्रबल हो तो हो, परन्तु दो उसका सामना कर सकेंगे। जो डोरी तीन तागे से बटी हो वह जल्दी नहीं टूटती (सभोपदेशक 4:9-12)। प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने भी अपने शिष्यों से उनकी एक-मनता की सामर्थ्य के विषय में कहा, फिर मैं तुम से कहता हूं, यदि तुम में से दो जन पृथ्वी पर किसी बात के लिये जिसे वे मांगें, एक मन के हों, तो वह मेरे पिता की ओर से स्वर्ग में है उन के लिये हो जाएगी। क्योंकि जहां दो या तीन मेरे नाम पर इकट्ठे होते हैं वहां मैं उन के बीच में होता हूं (मत्ती 18:19-20)। अर्थात, जहाँ भी प्रभु के लोग एक मन होकर साथ हैं, सहमत हैं, वहाँ प्रभु परमेश्वर भी उनके साथ उस बात में सहमत है, उनके साथ विद्यमान है; वे चाहे संख्या में दो या तीन ही क्यों न हों! प्रभु यीशु ने हमारे पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार के लिए किए गए कार्य के द्वारा न केवल हमारे बीच के विभाजनों की दीवार को हटा दिया और हम सभी मनुष्यों को एक साथ जोड़ दिया, वरन साथ ही हमें एक साथ मिलाकर परमेश्वर का निवास-स्थान भी बना दिया, और परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में भी बहाल कर दिया (इफिसियों 2:11-22), हमारा मेल-मिलाप पिता परमेश्वर के साथ भी करवा दिया (रोमियों 5:1, 10-11)।

क्योंकि हमारा यह साथ मिलकर रहना और परमेश्वर की संगति में रहना हमारे व्यक्तिगत मसीही जीवन और कलीसिया की सामर्थ्य के लिए, तथा प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी एवं प्रभावी होने का कारगर उपाय है, इसीलिए शैतान हमें परस्पर एक-मनता में नहीं रहने देता है, और परमेश्वर के साथ भी हमारी संगति को बाधित करता रहता है। उसने विभाजित रखने का यह षड्यंत्र कलीसिया के आरंभ से कार्यान्वित कर दिया था (रोमियों 15:5-6; 1 कुरिन्थियों 1:10-13; 11:18; 2 कुरिन्थियों 12:20; गलातियों 5:15; याकूब 4:1-2; आदि), और आज भी प्रभु के लोगों को एक मन होकर साथ रहने से रोकने के उपाय करता रहता है। यह एक दुख भरा कटु सत्य है कि आज हम प्रभु के लोग, एक ही प्रभु, एक ही कलीसिया के सदस्य होते हुए भी, साथ मिलकर रहने और कार्य करने के उपाय नहीं ढूँढ़ते हैं, वरन एक दूसरे से अलग रहने, अलग-अलग रहकर कार्य करने के कारण और तरीके ढूँढ़ते, और निभाते रहते हैं। जबकि होना इसका विपरीत चाहिए (इफिसियों 4:1-6)। इसीलिए हमारे व्यक्तिगत मसीही जीवन और हमारी कलीसिया के जीवनों और गवाहियों में इतनी दुर्बलता है; शैतान इतनी सरलता से संसार में हमें प्रभु के लिए निष्क्रिय, निष्फल, और जगत में उपहास का विषय बनाए रखता है। आरंभिक कलीसिया के लोग परस्पर संगति रखने में भी लौलीन रहते थे, इसीलिए परमेश्वर की सामर्थ्य उनमें रहती थी, उनके द्वारा कार्य करती थी, निदान, हे भाइयो, आनन्‍दित रहो; सिद्ध बनते जाओ; ढाढ़स रखो; एक ही मन रखो; मेल से रहो, और प्रेम और शान्‍ति का दाता परमेश्वर तुम्हारे साथ होगा” (2 कुरिन्थियों 13:11)।

यदि हम मसीही विश्वासियों को, प्रभु की कलीसिया के सदस्यों को, इन अंत के दिनों में अपने मसीही विश्वास में स्थिर और दृढ़ रहना है, और प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी एवं प्रभावी होना है, तो परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा पौलुस प्रेरित में होकर फिलिप्पी की कलीसिया को लिखे गए आग्रह को पूरा करना होगा, सो यदि मसीह में कुछ शान्‍ति और प्रेम से ढाढ़स और आत्मा की सहभागिता, और कुछ करुणा और दया है। तो मेरा यह आनन्द पूरा करो कि एक मन रहो और एक ही प्रेम, एक ही चित्त, और एक ही मनसा रखो। विरोध या झूठी बड़ाई के लिये कुछ न करो पर दीनता से एक दूसरे को अपने से अच्छा समझो। हर एक अपनी ही हित की नहीं, वरन दूसरों की हित की भी चिन्‍ता करे। जैसा मसीह यीशु का स्‍वभाव था वैसा ही तुम्हारा भी स्‍वभाव हो (फिलिप्पियों 2:1-5)। इसलिए, यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो प्रभु के भय में होकर इस आग्रह के निर्वाह का प्रयास करते रहें; कलीसिया में कभी मतभेद और विभाजनों का नहीं, अपितु प्रेम और मेल-मिलाप का कारण बनें, तब ही आप परमेश्वर की संतान कहलाएंगे (मत्ती 5:9)।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

The Second Pillar - Fellowship with Lord’s People

The Lord joins a person to His Church, as soon as the person repents of his sins, asks forgiveness for them from the Lord, believes in the Lord Jesus as his savior, and is saved, or, Born-Again. In the lives of the people who have been joined to the Church by the Lord, from the beginning, seven things are seen, which are given in Acts 2:38-42. Of these seven, four are given in Acts 2:42; of these four, it is also written that the people of the first Church “continued steadfastly” in all four of them. These four have also been called the four pillars of Christian life and the Church that keep the Believer and the Church stable and firm. In the previous articles we have already seen four out of these seven things. Today we will consider the fifth one, which is the second thing stated in Acts 2:42, is the second pillar of the Church and Christian living - “Fellowship.”

Since the beginning of creation God did not like man being alone; He wanted to give a helper to man who would be like him (Genesis 2:18). Therefore, God first brought all the living creatures before Adam, but amongst them none was found who could be a helper, a mate for Adam (Genesis 2:19-20). After letting Adam realize that he was a unique creation, different from every other creature of the world, God created a helper like him and placed her along with Adam (Genesis 2:21-22). In other words, since the beginning of creation man not only lived in fellowship with another human, but also in fellowship with God - who would come to meet them (Genesis 3:8). Also bear in mind that Satan was able to beguile Eve when she was alone, and did not think of getting back into fellowship with Adam or God when Satan was enticing her to disobey God (Genesis 3:1-2). The woman, when all alone, fell into sin, and then she led Adam also into sin (Genesis 3:6), and because of that sin both of them lost fellowship with God too. There is great power in being in mutual fellowship, and being in fellowship with God. Man, having a corrupted mind and wisdom due to having fallen in sin, is unable to understand and realize this source of strength and power, but Satan well knows and understands it. That is why he keeps trying to break up our fellowship with each other and with God, one way or another, so that we may neither realize nor come to utilize this source of power against him and his devious devices, by being united, being of one mind and purpose.

King Solomon wrote, Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; But how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12). The Lord Jesus also spoke to His disciples about the power their being of one mind will give to them, Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:19-20). In other words, wherever the people of the Lord are one-minded and together in fellowship, even if they are only two or three in numbers, the Lord is present amongst them and is united with them in their being one-minded. The Lord Jesus through His work for the forgiveness of our sins and salvation, has not only broken down the walls of separation between us, but has also joined us together, and has collectively made us into the dwelling place of God (Ephesians 2:11-22), and has reconciled us with God, restored us into the fellowship with God (Romans 5:1, 10-11).

Since our mutually being joined together and being in fellowship with God is a very powerful and effective means not only for our individual Christian lives and the Church, but also for our being effective and useful for the Lord God, therefore Satan leaves no stone unturned to break our mutual unity and our fellowship with God. These attempts to break up the unity of the Church and Believers, Satan had begun from the first Church itself (Romans 15:5-6; 1 Corinthians 1:10-13; 11:18; 2 Corinthians 12:20; Galatians 5:15; James 4:1-2; etc.), and even today is still relentlessly continuing in his efforts to prevent us from staying in unity and fellowship. This a bitter truth that today, we, the people of the Lord, members of the Lord’s one and only Church do not strive to live and work together for the Lord; rather we try to find ways and excuses of remaining divided, separate from each other, and happily persist in living by and following our divisive ways and tendencies; whereas it should be the other way around (Ephesians 4:1-6). This is one major cause of our weak Christian and Church lives, our Christian witness; and Satan has so easily made us stagnant, ineffective, fruitless, and a cause for ridicule in the world. The people of the initial Church “continued steadfastly” in fellowship, therefore the power of the Lord was working in and through them in the world, Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you (2 Corinthians 13:11).

If we, the Christian Believers, the members of the Church of the Lord Jesus, in these end times, have to remain firm, strong, and steadfast in our Christian Faith, life, and witness, if we are to be effective and useful for the Lord in these last days, then we will have to fulfill the admonition the Holy Spirit gave through the Apostle Paul to the Church in Philippi, “Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:1-5). Therefore, if you are a Christian Believer, then in the fear of the Lord, strive to fulfill this admonition. Do not ever be a cause for divisions and dissensions in the Church, but be one who promotes love and reconciliation in the Church; only then will you be called a child of God (Matthew 5:9).

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु के मार्ग पर चलने के बारे में पूछने वाले भक्त यहूदियों से पतरस द्वारा, प्रेरितों 2:38-42 में कही गई सात बातों में से पहली तीन बातों को देखने के बाद, प्रेरितों 2:42 में दी गई शेष चार बातों पर एक-एक करके मनन आरम्भ करने से पहले, पिछले लेख में हमने इन चारों बातों के बारे में देखा है कि ये मसीही जीवन की स्थिरता के खंभे और उन्नति के लिए अनिवार्य आधार हैं। किन्तु फिर भी आज इन बातों को लेकर अधिकांशतः मसीही बेपरवाह हैं, इनमें से कुछ का वे यदा-कदा औपचारिकता पूरा करने के लिए निर्वाह कर लेते हैं; लेकिन फिर भी परमेश्वर से यही अपेक्षा रखते हैं कि वह उनके साथ रहे, उनकी सुनता रहे, उनके पक्ष में कार्य करता रहे। आज इसी विषय को ज़ारी रखते हुए, हम इस पर थोड़ा और विचार करेंगे। 

अपने आप को ईसाई या मसीही कहने वाले लोगों में इन चारों बातों को पूरा न करने को लेकर एक बहुत सामान्य धारणा पाई जाती है - समय ही नहीं होता है, कैसे करें? संसार और सांसारिकता की बातों के बाद उनके पास समय ही नहीं बचता है कि वे प्रभु के साथ समय बिताएं, प्रभु के लिए कुछ करें। उनके पास तो प्रभु के लिए समय और सामर्थ्य नहीं होते हैं, लेकिन फिर भी उनकी इच्छा और प्रार्थना यही रहती है कि प्रभु उनके साथ बना रहे और उनके लिए, उनके पक्ष में होकर काम करता रहे। फिर इसके साथ एक दूसरा बहाना भी जोड़ दिया जाता है, “प्रभु हमारे दिल और जीवन के हाल तो जानता है; उसे पता है कि हम उससे प्रेम करते हैं, बस उपयुक्त समय नहीं देने पाते हैं। वह हमारी स्थिति समझता है, दयालु और करुणामय है, और अपनी दया और करुणा में होकर हमसे व्यवहार करेगा।” लेकिन ये लोग इस बात पर बिलकुल विचार नहीं करते हैं कि क्या होगा जब न्याय के दिन प्रभु उनसे कहेगा, “हाँ, मैं दयालु और करुणामय हूँ, और इसीलिए मैं, इतने सालों तक, बारंबार, तुम्हारे पास संगति के लिए, तुम्हें विश्राम और आशीष देने के लिए, तुम्हारी सहायता और मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए प्रतिदिन आता रहा और तुमसे समय माँगता रहा, अपने लोगों के द्वारा तुम्हें संदेश भेजता रहा, तुम्हें अपनी प्राथमिकताएं सही करने की शिक्षाएं देता रहा, किन्तु तुमने हर बार नश्वर संसार की नाशमान बातों को मुझ अविनाशी परमेश्वर और उसकी अनन्तकालीन आशीषों से अधिक महत्वपूर्ण समझा, संसार को ही प्राथमिकता दी। तुम जानते थे कि मुझे छोड़कर तुम जिसके लिए परिश्रम और प्रयास करने में लगे हुए हो, एक दिन वह सब नष्ट हो जाएगा, तुम्हारे साथ उसका कुछ अंश भी नहीं जाएगा। तुम ये भी जानते थे कि मैं तुम्हें प्रतिफल तुम्हारे मेरे लिए किए गए कार्यों के अनुसार दूँगा, संसार के लिए किए गए कार्यों के अनुसार नहीं; लेकिन फिर भी तुमने संसार को ही प्राथमिकता दी, उसी के लिए उपयोगी बने रहे, मेरे लिए नहीं। आज, यह मेरे उस सच्चे और खरे न्याय का दिन है, जिसके विषय तुम्हें मैं चिताता रहा, किन्तु तुम नहीं चेते; इसलिए आज, तुम्हारे द्वारा जानते-बुझते-समझते हुए किए गए निर्णय के अनुसार ही तुम वही फसल पाओगे, जिसके बीज तुमने अपने लिए स्वेच्छा से अपने जीवन में बोए हैं। नाशमान बातों को अपने जीवन में बोया है, विनाश की कटनी ही काटने को मिलेगी।”

प्रभु यीशु के लिए समय, प्रयास, और परिश्रम व्यर्थ या निष्फल नहीं है (1 कुरिन्थियों 15:58), वरन ऐसे निवेश (investment) के समान है, जिसका कम-से-कम सौ-गुना प्रतिफल, और अनन्तकालीन आशीषें बिलकुल निश्चित हैं (मरकुस 10:29, 30)। जो अपना पहला समय, परिश्रम, प्राथमिकता प्रभु को देते हैं, प्रभु उन्हें शेष कार्य करने के लिए उपयुक्त समय, परिश्रम और प्रतिफल भी देता रहता है, जिससे वे अपने सांसारिक कार्यों में भी सफल रहते हैं, और प्रभु के लिए भी उपयोगी होकर आशीषित बने रहते हैं। आवश्यकता प्रभु पर भरोसा रखते हुए विश्वास के साथ सही दिशा में कदम बढ़ाने की है। हम अगले लेख से इन चारों बातों को एक-एक करके कुछ विस्तार से देखेंगे।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो अभी समय और अवसर रहते अपने जीवन को जाँच-परख कर देख लीजिए कि आप इन सातों बातों के संदर्भ में, कहाँ खड़े हैं? प्रभु की बातें और आज्ञाकारिता आपके जीवन में क्या स्थान पाती हैं? यदि प्रभु यीशु, उसका वचन, और उसकी आज्ञाकारिता आपके जीवन की प्राथमिकता नहीं है, तो आपको बहुत गंभीरता से अपने जीवन का पुनःअवलोकन और आँकलन (review and re-assessment) करने की तथा आवश्यक सुधारों को लाने की आवश्यकता है (2 कुरिन्थियों 13:5), इससे पहले कि बहुत देर हो जाए।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

The Church & Believer - Provision To Be Firm & Stable (2)

Having seen the first three of the seven things that Peter said to the devout Jews who wanted to learn about following the Lord, in Acts 2:38-42, before we go into considering the next four things one by one, we have seen in the previous articles that these are the pillars of stability, and the essential basis for growth for Christian living.  But still, most of the Christians remain unconcerned about them, they may observe one or two of them off & on merely to fulfill a formality. Yet they expect the Lord to always be with them, listen to them, and continually work in their favor. Today we will ponder a bit more on this topic. 

In those who call themselves “Christians” but actually are not, there is a common excuse found for not fulfilling these four things - “there is no time, how then can we do them?” After spending their time and energies in things of the world and worldliness, they have no time or energy left to spend with the Lord, to be useful for the Lord. They do not have the time and energy for theLord, but still their desire and prayer always is that the Lord should always be with them, should always work in their favor and for them. Then another excuse is added to this one, “The Lord knows our hearts and life; He knows that we do love Him and care for Him, but are unable to give time to Him. He knows and understands our condition, He is loving and gracious, and will reward us according to His grace and compassion.” But these people fail to realize and understand what will happen to them on the day of judgement, when they are to stand before the Lord and give an account of their lives to Him? What answer will they have when the Lord says to them, “Yes, I am gracious and compassionate; that is why for so many years I patiently kept coming to you over and over again, to have fellowship with you, to give you rest and blessings, to help you and guide you; I kept asking for your time to strengthen you and lift you out of the temporal into the eternal; I kept sending messages to you through my disciples, my children; I kept pleading with you to set your priorities right. But you spurned all my attempts, and chose the perishing world and its things; you always gave more importance to the world and worldliness than Me; for you the temporal benefits of the world were always more important than the eternal blessings and benefits I could give you. You well knew that the things you are laboring for, striving after, and living for will all be destroyed one day; none of them, not even a fraction, will go with you. You also knew that the rewards that I will be giving to you at the end, will be according to what you have done for Me, not according to what you have done for the world. But still you continued to give priority and importance to the world, you remained useful for the world, never for Me. Now, this is the day of my fair and just judgement, about which I kept warning you, and wanted to prepare you for. But you never paid due heed to my warnings and teachings. Therefore, today, according to your own decisions, that you have taken knowledgeably, willingly, and being fully aware of everything, you will reap a harvest of what you have sown in your lives. You have sown seeds of perishing, and will reap a harvest of destruction.”

The time, efforts, and labor put in for the Lord are never a waste or in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58); rather it is like an investment that has a guaranteed return of at least a hundredfold along with eternal blessings (Mark 10:29-30). Those who give their time and labour to the Lord as a priority, the Lord besides His eternal blessings, also gives back to them enough time, strength, and wisdom to be successful and growing in their work for the world, and continue to be useful and fruitful for the Lord and grow in Him as well. One only has to step out in faith and move in the right direction.

If you are a Christian Believer, then check where you stand in your life in relation to these seven things, and evaluate your life and priorities, while you have the time and opportunity from the Lord. What place do the instructions and commandments of the Lord, and their obedience have in your life? If the Lord Jesus, His Word, and His obedience are not the priority of your life, and you are more inclined towards the world and gains of the world, then, very seriously review and reassess your life and correct everything that needs to be corrected (2 Corinthians 13:5), before it is too late. From the next article, we will look in some detail about each of these four pillars of Christian life, individually.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
