क्या व्यवस्था जीवन दे सकती है? – 2

 

 

    पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि व्यवस्था के पालन का अर्थ है परमेश्वर और मनुष्यों के साथ निर्वाह करने से सम्बन्धित परमेश्वर की आज्ञाओं का सच्चे और खरे मन से पालन करना। साथ ही हमने यह भी देखा था कि पुराने और नए नियम, दोनों में ही यह कहा गया है कि व्यवस्था के पालन से जीवन मिल सकता है। आज हम देखेंगे पवित्र शास्त्र जिस जीवन, और जीवन में प्रवेश करने की बात करता है, वह क्या है; क्योंकि यह प्रभु यीशु ने स्वयं ही स्पष्ट किया है, बताया है। प्रभु ने कहा है कि: 

·        पिता परमेश्वर को और प्रभु यीशु को जानना ही अनन्त जीवन है “और अनन्त जीवन यह है, कि वे तुझ अद्वैत सच्चे परमेश्वर को और यीशु मसीह को, जिसे तू ने भेजा है, जानें” (यूहन्ना 17:3)। 

·        प्रभु यीशु की शिक्षाएं जीवन हैं, “आत्मा तो जीवनदायक है, शरीर से कुछ लाभ नहीं: जो बातें मैं ने तुम से कहीं हैं वे आत्मा है, और जीवन भी हैं।” (यूहन्ना 6:63)। 

·        प्रभु यीशु स्वयं जीवन हैं, “यीशु ने उस से कहा, मार्ग और सच्चाई और जीवन मैं ही हूं; बिना मेरे द्वारा कोई पिता के पास नहीं पहुंच सकता।” (यूहन्ना 14:6)। 

·        पतरस ने भी इसका समर्थन करते हुए कहा था, “शमौन पतरस ने उसको उत्तर दिया, कि हे प्रभु हम किस के पास जाएं? अनन्त जीवन की बातें तो तेरे ही पास हैं” (यूहन्ना 6:68)। 

 

    जितने प्रभु यीशु के जन बन जाते हैं, वे प्रभु को ‘पहन’ लेते हैं (रोमियों 13:14; गलातियों 3:27), उस में अर्थात, अनन्त जीवन में आ जाते हैं। और जो प्रभु यीशु में हैं, उनपर दंड की आज्ञा नहीं रहती है, वे पाप और मृत्यु की व्यवस्था से स्वतंत्र हो जाते हैं (रोमियों 8:1-2), जीवन में प्रवेश कर जाते हैं। अर्थात, प्रभु परमेश्वर यीशु मसीह ही जीवन है, और जीवन में प्रवेश करने का अर्थ है प्रभु यीशु मसीह को समर्पित हो जाना है, उसका बन जाना है। जो लोग अपने पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करने और प्रभु से पापों की क्षमा प्राप्त करने के द्वारा, प्रभु परमेश्वर के साथ सही संबंधों में आ जाते हैं, प्रभु के वचन के अनुसार रहने लगते हैं, वे जीवन में प्रवेश कर जाते हैं।

प्रभु के साथ सही संबंध में आकर जीवन में प्रवेश कर जाना केवल नए नियम ही की बात नहीं है। पुराने नियम के भी जितने लोग परमेश्वर के साथ सही संबंध में रहे, वे चाहे सिद्ध नहीं थे, किन्तु नाश भी नहीं हुए और स्वर्ग भी गए। इब्रानियों 11 अध्याय पुराने नियम के इन्हीं विश्वास के नायकों के बारे में है; लेकिन इनके अतिरिक्त भी पुराने नियम के परमेश्वर के नबी और विश्वासी जन, ये सभी रीति-रिवाजों के पालन के कारण नहीं, परमेश्वर के साथ सही संबंधों के कारण परमेश्वर के लोग, उसे स्वीकार्य बने। और इनमें से दो, हनोक (उत्पत्ति 5:24) और एलिय्याह (2 राजाओं 2:9-12), बिना मृत्यु के ही परमेश्वर के पास उठा भी लिए गए। उनका परमेश्वर के साथ तथा अपने साथ के मनुष्यों के साथ सही संबंधों में बने रहना ही, उनके द्वारा व्यवस्था का पालन किए जाने के समान था, जिसने उन्हें न केवल परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य बना दिया, किन्तु आज हम नए नियम के मसीही विश्वासियों के लिए उदाहरण भी बना दिया।  

किन्तु जिन्होंने व्यवस्था के पालन को रीति-रिवाज़, नियमों, धर्म, पर्वों, परंपराओं आदि का पालन करना समझा है, और जो यह सब एक औपचारिकता के समान किए जाने वाला काम समझ कर उसे करते रहते हैं, उनके जीवन ही उन्हें इसकी व्यर्थता की गवाही देते हैं; और इसके कारण उन्हें होने वाली बेचैनी को हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे। अभी के लिए, यदि आप मसीही हैं, और अपने आप को किसी भी प्रकार की “व्यवस्था” - वह चाहे परमेश्वर की हो, या आपके धर्म, मत, समुदाय, या डिनॉमिनेशन की हो - के पालन के द्वारा धर्मी बनाने के, और अपने शरीर के कार्यों के द्वारा अपने आप को परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य बनाने के प्रयासों में लगे हैं; तो ध्यान देकर समझ लीजिए कि परमेश्वर का वचन स्पष्ट बताता है कि व्यवस्था के पालन के द्वारा नहीं, वरन, परमेश्वर के दिए हुए पश्चाताप और समर्पण करने के मार्ग का पालन करने के द्वारा ही आप परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी और उसे स्वीकार्य बन सकते हैं। अभी समय और अवसर रहते सही मार्ग अपना लें, और व्यर्थ तथा निष्फल मार्ग को छोड़ दें।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Can The Law Give Life – 2

 

    In the previous article we had seen that too obey the Law means to honestly and sincerely follow God’s laws about having a relationship with God and man. We had also seen that both in the Old as well as the New Testament, it has been said that by obeying the Law, one can receive life. Today we will see from the Scriptures the meaning of Life, and of what it means to enter life, as has been explained by the Lord Jesus Himself. The Lord has said that:

·        Knowing God the Father, and the Lord Jesus is eternal life "And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent" (John 17:3).

·        The teachings of the Lord Jesus are life, "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63).

·        The Lord Jesus Himself is life, “Jesus said to him, I am the way and the truth and the life; No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).

·        Peter also supported this, saying, "Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life" (John 6:68).

 

    All who become people of the Lord Jesus, they have 'put on' the Lord (Romans 13:14; Galatians 3:27), and thereby are now “in Him”, that is, in eternal life. And those who are in the Lord Jesus are no longer under condemnation, but they are freed from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2), they have entered life. In other words, the Lord God Jesus Christ is life, and to enter life means to be surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ, to become His. Therefore, those who, have repented of their sins and have received forgiveness of sins from the Lord, have come into a proper relationship with the Lord, and live by the Lord's word, they have entered life.

    Entering life through the right relationship with the Lord is not just a matter of the New Testament. All those in the Old Testament who were in the right relationship with God, although they were not perfect, yet they did not perish but went to heaven to be with the Lord; they obtained life. Hebrews 11 is about the Heroes of the Faith of the Old Testament; but besides these, many other God's prophets and believers in God in the Old Testament, became acceptable to Him, became the people of God, not because of their observance of customs and rituals, but because of their right relationship with God. And two of them, Enoch (Genesis 5:24) and Elijah (2 Kings 2:9-12), were even taken up to God without going through death. For all these Heroes of Faith and people of God, their staying in the right relationship with God and with the people around them was tantamount to their keeping the Law, which not only made them acceptable to God, but also an example to the New Testament Christians of today.

    But those who view their fulfilling of the Law to mean their formally fulfilling the observance of customs, rules, religion, festivals, traditions, etc. their own lives testify about the vanity of their false notions; and the restlessness caused by this, as we will see in the next article. For now, if you are a Christian, and are hoping to justify yourself by observing any sort of "law" — whether that of God, or of your religion, creed, community, or denomination — and are trying to make yourself acceptable to God by being ‘good’ through the works of the flesh; then pay heed and understand that God's Word clearly states that you become righteous and acceptable to God, not by keeping the Law, but only by following the God given path of repentance and submission to the Lord. Therefore, while you have the time and the opportunity, take the right decision, decide on the right path, and leave the useless and fruitless path.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

क्या व्यवस्था जीवन दे सकती है? – 1

 

    व्यवस्था और उद्धार से संबंधित बातों को देखने, और यह समझने के बाद कि क्यों व्यवस्था मनुष्यों को उद्धार नहीं दे सकती है, अभी हमारे सामने कुछ महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न शेष हैं। पहला है कि यदि उद्धार व्यवस्था के पालन से नहीं है, तो फिर पुराने और नए नियम में व्यवस्था द्वारा जीवन मिलने की बात क्यों कही गई? और दूसरा है तो फिर व्यवस्था के दिए जाने का क्या उद्देश्य है? और तीसरा प्रश्न है कि आज हम मसीही विश्वासियों, प्रभु के लोगों के लिए, क्या व्यवस्था की कोई उपयोगिता अथवा भूमिका है? आज हम इनमें से पहले प्रश्न, व्यवस्था के द्वारा जीवन मिलने को देखना आरंभ करेंगे।

    व्यवस्था, जिसके पालन के द्वारा जीवन मिलने की बात कही गई है, उसके विषय पहले हमें इस बात का ध्यान रखना आवश्यक है कि व्यवस्था क्या है। व्यवस्था क्या है, यह हमें मत्ती 22:35-40 में प्रभु यीशु की व्यवस्थापक से हुए बातचीत, और उस बातचीत के निष्कर्ष से पता चलता है। जैसा हम एक आरंभिक लेख में देख चुके हैं, प्रभु यीशु ने स्वयं हमारे लिए परिभाषित किया है कि परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था कोई रीति-रिवाज़, धर्म, पर्वों और परंपराओं आदि का पालन करना नहीं है। वरन, व्यवस्था परमेश्वर और मनुष्यों के साथ हमारे संबंध, समर्पण, और व्यवहार को निर्धारित और निर्देशित करने वाले परमेश्वर के नियम हैं। इन में सबसे ऊपर, सबसे बढ़कर परमेश्वर के प्रति संपूर्ण समर्पण और आज्ञाकारिता, तथा मनुष्यों के प्रति खरा प्रेम है, व्यवस्था इनका परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता में सही निर्वाह है। और यही रोमियों 13:8-10 में भी परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा कहा गया है। व्यवस्था के विषय यह एक आम, किन्तु बिलकुल गलत धारणा है कि पुराने नियम में, विशेषकर मूसा की पहली पाँच पुस्तकों में दिए गए रीति-रिवाजों का पालन करने, पर्वों को मनाने, भेंटो और बलिदानों को उनके निर्धारित समय और विधि के अनुसार चढ़ाने को ही लोग व्यवस्था का अर्थ और व्यवस्था का पालन करना मान लेते हैं। लेकिन पुराने नियम ही में लिखा गया है कि इन रीति-रिवाजों, पर्वों, भेट-बलिदानों आदि के निर्वाह की केवल औपचारिकता पूरी कर लेने के द्वारा न तो परमेश्वर प्रसन्न होता है और न ही अनन्त जीवन मिल सकता है (यशायाह 1:12-20)।

प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने अनन्त जीवन का मार्ग जानने के लिए उसके पास आए हुए धनी जवान से कहा था, “... पर यदि तू जीवन में प्रवेश करना चाहता है, तो आज्ञाओं को माना कर” (मत्ती 19:17); अर्थात, प्रभु यीशु मसीह के अनुसार, आज्ञाओं के पालन से जीवन में प्रवेश मिल सकता है। प्रभु उस व्यक्ति से जिन आज्ञाओं के पालन की बात कर रहा था, वे पुराने नियम में दी गई परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था के एक भाग, दस आज्ञाओं, के पालन के बारे में है। न केवल यहाँ पर प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने, लेकिन पुराने नियम में परमेश्वर ने भी कहा है कि उसके नियम और विधियाँ मानने से उसके लोग जीवित रहेंगे (लैव्यव्यवस्था 18:5; नहेम्याह 9:29; यहेजकेल 20:11; आदि)। और इसकी पुष्टि नए नियम में पवित्र आत्मा ने पौलुस प्रेरित द्वारा भी करवाई है (रोमियों 10:5)। वचन की इन बातों के कारण, यहाँ एक विरोधाभास की सी स्थिति प्रतीत होती है। इस विरोधाभास को समझने और सुलझाने के लिए हम अगले लेख में वचन से कुछ संबंधित बातों को देखेंगे, कि वचन के अनुसार जीवन क्या है, और जीवन में प्रवेश करना, या, जीवन पा लेना से क्या अर्थ है।

Can The Law Give Life? – 1

 

    Having seen the things related to the Law and salvation, and having understood why the Law cannot save us, we still have some important questions to clarify. The first is that if salvation is not through the observance of the Law, then why do the Old and New Testaments talk of receiving life through the Law? The second, what is the purpose of giving the Law? And the third question is, for us Christians, the people of the Lord, today does the law have any utility or role? Today we'll begin to look at the first of these questions, the receiving of life through the Law.

    Before understanding this, it is necessary to recall and keep in mind what is the Law, about which it has been said that if obeyed, it gives life. We learn what the Law is from the Lord Jesus' conversation with the Scribe in Matthew 22:35-40, and from the conclusion of this conversation. As we saw in an earlier article, the Lord Jesus Himself has defined for us that the Law of God is not the observance of any customs, religion, festivals and traditions, etc. Rather, the Law is God's rules defining and directing our relationship, submission, and behavior with God and man, and our having sincere love for men. Obeying the Law is obeying these instructions from God, in full submission and sincerity, in the manner God wants them obeyed. And this is again affirmed by God the Holy Spirit in Romans 13:8-10. It is a common, but absolutely erroneous belief regarding the Law, that it is the observance of the customs set forth in the Old Testament, especially in the first five books of Moses; that it is to observe festivals, to offer gifts and sacrifices at the prescribed time and in the given manner. People assume this to be the meaning of the Law and fulfill the law accordingly. But it is written in the Old Testament itself that God can neither be pleased by man’s fulfilling these rituals, festivals, offerings, etc. as a mere formality, nor can eternal life be obtained by their ritualistic formal observation (Isaiah 1:12–20).

    The Lord Jesus Christ told the rich young man who came to him to know the way to eternal life, “… but if you want to enter life, keep the commandments” (Matthew 19:17); i.e., according to the Lord Jesus Christ, obedience to the commandments can lead to entry into life. The commandments that the Lord was referring to here for obedience, to this person, are the Ten Commandments, a part of God's Law in the Old Testament. Not only did the Lord Jesus Christ here, but God also said in the Old Testament that obeying His Laws and statutes would give life to His people (Leviticus 18:5; Nehemiah 9:29; Ezekiel 20:11; etc.). And this is also affirmed by the Holy Spirit in the New Testament through the apostle Paul (Romans 10:5). Because of these points of Scripture, there seems to be a contradiction here. To understand and resolve this contradiction, we will look at some of the relevant and related things from the Scripture in the subsequent articles. We will see what, according to the Scripture is life; and what it means to enter into, or, receive life.

पुनःअवलोकन एवं निष्कर्ष (भाग 2)

आज हम व्यवस्था के इस उद्देश्य को थोड़ा और गहराई से समझेंगे। संसार का पहला पाप परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता था; केवल एक बहुत साधारण सी आज्ञा - सारी वाटिका में से केवल एक वृक्ष के फल को मत खाना। और शैतान ने अपनी बातों के द्वारा मनुष्य को उस एक आज्ञा का पालन भी नहीं करने दिया, उसमें भी उसे पाप में गिरा दिया। और वह भी तब, जब अदन की वाटिका में मनुष्य पूर्णतः निर्दोष और निष्पाप अवस्था में, अपनी पूरी आत्मिकता की दशा में था, परमेश्वर के साथ संगति रखता था, निःसंकोच बातचीत करता था। 

प्रभु द्वारा कही गई दोनों सबसे महान आज्ञाओं के सामने, जो सारी व्यवस्था का आधार हैं (मत्ती 22:36-40), और निर्गमन में दी गई दस आज्ञाओं के सामने जो व्यवस्था का एक संक्षिप्त प्ररूप हैं, आदम और हव्वा को दी गई परमेश्वर की यह एक आज्ञा कुछ भी नहीं है। किन्तु मनुष्य शैतान की युक्तियों के सामने इस एक छोटी सी आज्ञा में भी टिक नहीं पाया, गिर गया, अनाज्ञाकारिता कर दी। तो फिर मनुष्य, जो अपनी सृष्टि और स्वाभाविक रचना में स्‍वर्गदूतों से कम है, जिन में से शैतान और उसके दूत निकल कर आए हैं, शैतान और उसके दूतों की कुटिलताओं का सामना कैसे करेगा? कैसे उनके सामने खड़ा रह सकेगा? अपनी सामर्थ्य और बुद्धि से परमेश्वर की संपूर्ण व्यवस्था का पूर्ण पालन कैसे करने पाएगा? और यह केवल कहने की बात नहीं है, सभी के प्रतिदिन के अनुभव की बात है कि शैतान और उसके दूत, सभी मनुष्यों को अपनी युक्तियों और धूर्तता में फँसा कर, प्रतिदिन अनेकों बार, मन-ध्यान-विचार-व्यवहार में पाप में गिराते रहते हैं। और जैसा हम देख चुके हैं, उद्धार पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी भी पाप में गिरने से बचे हुए नहीं है; उन्हें भी बारंबार 1 यूहन्ना 1:9 का सहारा लेकर अपने पापों से निकलना पड़ता है। इसलिए यह कभी संभव ही नहीं हो सकता है कि मनुष्य व्यवस्था को अपनी सामर्थ्य से पूरा निभा सके; वह कहीं, किसी बात में या तो अनाज्ञाकारिता करेगा, या उससे कुछ निभाने से छूट ही जाएगा। और जैसा हम देख चुके हैं, व्यवस्था की माँग है कि यदि एक भी बात में चूक हुई, एक भी अनाज्ञाकारिता हुई, तो वह संपूर्ण व्यवस्था से चूकने, संपूर्ण की अनाज्ञाकारिता के समान समझा जाएगा।

इन सभी बातों को ध्यान में रखते हुए यह प्रकट है कि व्यवस्था कभी भी, किसी भी रीति से मनुष्यों को उद्धार प्रदान नहीं कर सकती है। व्यवस्था उन्हें उनके पापों को दिखा सकती है, उन्हें उन पापों के लिए दोषी ठहरा सकती है, किन्तु उनके पापों का समाधान प्रदान नहीं कर सकती है। वह समाधान तो केवल प्रभु यीशु मसीह में ही है, उसके अतिरिक्त और कोई समाधान नहीं है। 

    यदि व्यवस्था इतनी असमर्थ है, तो आज हमारे मसीही विश्वास और मसीही विश्वास के जीवन में क्या उसकी कोई उपयोगिता है? इस प्रश्न को हम कल से देखना आरंभ करेंगे। अभी के लिए, यदि आप मसीही हैं, और अपने आप को किसी भी प्रकार की “व्यवस्था” - वह चाहे परमेश्वर की हो, या आपके धर्म, मत, समुदाय, या डिनॉमिनेशन की हो - के पालन के द्वारा धर्मी बनाने के, और अपने शरीर के कार्यों के द्वारा अपने आप को परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य बनाने के प्रयासों में लगे हैं; तो ध्यान देकर समझ लीजिए कि परमेश्वर का वचन स्पष्ट बताता है कि किसी भी व्यवस्था के पालन के द्वारा नहीं, वरन, परमेश्वर के दिए हुए पश्चाताप और समर्पण करके प्रभु यीशु को उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करने के मार्ग का पालन करने के द्वारा ही आप परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी और उसे स्वीकार्य बन सकते हैं। अभी समय और अवसर रहते सही मार्ग अपना लें, और धर्म का पालन तथा भले काम करने के व्यर्थ तथा निष्फल मार्ग को छोड़ दें।   

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Why The Law Cannot Save Us – 27

Review and Conclusion (Part 2)

 

    Today we will try to understand this purpose of the Law a little more deeply. The world's first sin was disobedience to God; disobedience of just one very simple commandment - don't eat the fruit of only one tree out of the whole garden. And Satan, through his deviousness, tricked man into disobeying even that one simple commandment, made him fall into sin. And that too, when in the Garden of Eden man was in a purely innocent and sinless state, in unmarred spirituality, fellowshipping with God, and talking freely with Him.

    In comparison to the two greatest commandments, which are the basis of the whole Law (Matthew 22:36-40), as stated by the Lord, and in comparison to the Ten Commandments given by God in Exodus, which are a brief outline of God’s Law, this one simple commandment that God gave Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is nothing. But man could not stand up to Satan's tricks even in this one small command, fell in disobedience, and sinned. How then can man, be able to stand up to, and confront the wickedness of Satan and his angels, since he is inferior in power and wisdom to the angels, from whom Satan and his angels have come? How will he be able to fully obey God's entire Law in his natural power and wisdom, he has been created in? And this is not just a matter of saying, it is a matter of everyday experience for all of us. We well know how Satan and his angels, by enticing all human beings through their devices and cunningness, makes them sin through wrongs committed in mind-thoughts-deeds-behavior, many times every day. And as we have seen, even the saved Christians are not safe from falling into sin; they too have to repeatedly be delivered from their sins by resorting to 1 John 1:9. So, there is no way man can ever fulfill the Law without falling short or disobeying it in any way. And, as we have seen, to disobey one thing of the Law, is the same as having disobeyed the whole Law. Hence man can never stand justified by the Law, because Satan will make sure he falls into disobedience in one way or another, at some time or the other. 

    With all this in mind, it is apparent that the Law can never, in any way, provide salvation to humans. The law can show them their sins, can condemn them for those sins, but cannot provide a solution for their sins. That solution is only in the Lord Jesus Christ, except for Him, there is no other solution. 

    If the law is so incapable, is it of any use in our Christian faith and Christian life today? We will start looking at this question from tomorrow onwards. For now, if you are a Christian, and are hoping to justify yourself by observing any sort of "law" — whether that of God, or of your religion, creed, community, or denomination — and are trying to make yourself acceptable to God by being ‘good’ through the works of the flesh; then pay heed and understand that God's Word clearly states that you become righteous and acceptable to God, not by keeping the Law, but only by following the God given path of repentance and submission to the Lord and accepting the Lord Jesus as your savior. Therefore, while you have the time and the opportunity, take a right decision, decide on the right path, and leave the vain and fruitless path of following a religion and doing good works.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पुनःअवलोकन एवं निष्कर्ष (भाग 1)

हम पिछले कुछ समय से, लेखों की इस शृंखला “परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था हमें क्यों उद्धार नहीं दे सकती है” में हम व्यवस्था और उद्धार से संबंधित विभिन्न बातों को देखते और उनका विश्लेषण करते हुए आ रहे हैं। इस आम धारणा की सच्चाई परखने के लिए कि भला मनुष्य ही परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य हो सकता है, इसलिए मनुष्य को भला बनना चाहिए, हमने शृंखला का आरंभ यह देखने के साथ किया था कि भला क्या है, भला कौन है? हमने देखा कि भला होने और भलाई की परिभाषा, मनुष्य और संसार नहीं, केवल परमेश्वर ही निर्धारित करता है; और जो उसके अनुसार भला है, केवल वही उसे स्वीकार्य भी है। और उसने इससे संबंधित अपनी मनसा अपने वचन बाइबल में बता दी है। साथ ही हमने देखा था कि वास्तव में भला केवल परमेश्वर है; और मनुष्य अपने किसी भी प्रयास से भला और परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य हो ही नहीं सकता है। किन्तु हमने यह भी देखा है कि परमेश्वर मनुष्य को उसकी स्वाभाविक पापी दशा में ही, जैसा भी वो है, चाहे उसके पाप कितने भी अधिक हों कितने भी घोर और जघन्य क्यों न हों, स्वीकार करने, और उसे स्वयं पापों से शुद्ध करने, अपने राज्य में प्रवेश देने, अपनी संगति में बहाल करने के लिए सर्वदा तैयार है, यदि वह मनुष्य उसके पास पापों के लिए पश्चाताप और परमेश्वर के प्रति पूर्ण समर्पण एवं आज्ञाकारिता के साथ आता है। परमेश्वर हर किसी को अपने राज्य में प्रवेश देने, अपने साथ संगति में भाल करने के लिए तैयार है, किन्तु इसके लिए मनुष्य को अपनी नहीं वरन परमेश्वर की शर्तों के साथ आना होगा।

हमने यह भी देखा था कि व्यवस्था का पालन करने का अर्थ रीतियों, त्यौहारों, भेंट-बलिदानों आदि का परमेश्वर को चढ़ाना नहीं है। वरन व्यवस्था का पालन करने का अर्थ है परमेश्वर से सच्चा प्रेम करना, उसके प्रति पूर्णतः समर्पित और आज्ञाकारी रहना, और अन्य मनुष्यों से भी अपने समान ही प्रेम करना (मत्ती 22:35-40)। हमने संसार के इतिहास का एक बहुत संक्षिप्त अवलोकन करने के द्वारा समझा था कि चाहे स्वाभाविक, अपरिवर्तित, उद्धार नहीं पाया हुआ मनुष्य हो, जो अपनी ही बनाई हुई नैतिकता और धार्मिकता की बातों का पालन करता है; या परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था और नैतिकता एवं धार्मिकता की जानकारी रखने वाले, और परमेश्वर के नबियों की अगुवाई प्राप्त करने वाले परमेश्वर के चुने हुए लोग हों; दोनों में से कोई भी परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य नैतिकता और धार्मिकता के स्तर तक नहीं पहुँच सका है। जिनके पास परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था थी, वो भी उसका पालन करने में असमर्थ रहे हैं, और अन्ततः उन लोगों के समान ही परमेश्वर को अस्वीकार्य रहे हैं, जिनके पास परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था नहीं थी। 

फिर हमने व्यवस्था पालन के लिए मनुष्य की इस दुर्बलता को देखना आरंभ किया, और समझा था कि मनुष्य अपनी सृष्टि से ही स्‍वर्गदूतों कम स्तर का है। साथ ही, पाप में गिरने और उसके अन्य अनुयायी स्‍वर्गदूतों के साथ स्वर्ग से निकाले जाने से पहले शैतान सर्वोच्च स्वर्गदूत था। क्योंकि परमेश्वर अपने दिए हुए अधिकार और वरदान किसी से वापस नहीं लेता है, इसलिए आज भी शैतान और उसके दूत, मनुष्य से अधिक सामर्थी और बुद्धिमान हैं। इसीलिए वे मनुष्यों को अपनी कुटिलता में फँसा कर पाप में गिरा देते हैं। किन्तु जो मनुष्य परमेश्वर को समर्पित होकर, परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता में, उसके वचन और उसकी विधि के अनुसार शैतान का सामना करता है, वह शैतान पर और उसकी युक्तियों पर परमेश्वर की सामर्थ्य के द्वारा जयवन्त भी होता है। और क्योंकि शैतान ने कुटिलता से, अनैतिक रीति से मनुष्यों को पाप में गिराया है, इसीलिए परमेश्वर ने, जो खरा और सच्चा न्यायी है, कभी पक्षपात नहीं करता है, उसी ने सभी मनुष्यों को पापों से पश्चाताप करने की आज्ञा दी है जिससे परमेश्वर के साथ उनके संबंध बहाल हो जाएं। क्योंकि वह जानता है कि मनुष्य किसी भी “व्यवस्था” के पालन से, वह “व्यवस्था” चाहे परमेश्वर की दी हुई हो, या मनुष्यों की बनाई हुई हो, पापों से छुटकारा नहीं पा सकता है। यह छुटकारा केवल प्रभु यीशु मसीह के द्वारा दिए गए बलिदान, उसके काम से ही संभव है। इसीलिए वह सभी को समान अवसर और आज्ञा देकर पापों के दण्ड से बचने का पूरा अवसर दे रहा है। 

    फिर हमने व्यवस्था के उद्देश्य, उसकी सीमाओं को भी देखा था, और समझा था कि व्यवस्था मनुष्य को पाप की पहचान करवा सकती है; उसे पाप करने का दोषी ठहरा सकती है; किन्तु पाप से बचने का मार्ग नहीं दे सकती है, और न ही पाप करने से रोक सकती है। हमने यह भी देखा था कि व्यवस्था परमेश्वर द्वारा दिया गया उसकी धार्मिकता को समझने का एक पैमाना है, जिसके समक्ष हर बात को लाकर मनुष्य देख और समझ सकता है कि उस बात में वह परमेश्वर की धार्मिकता के स्तर के अनुसार कहाँ खड़ा है, उसकी अपनी धार्मिकता का स्तर क्या है। व्यवस्था पाप और धार्मिकता की पहचान करने के लिए है, पाप का समाधान करने और धर्मी बनाने के लिए नहीं। हमारे पापों का समाधान और हमें धर्मी बनाना तो पापों से पश्चाताप करने और प्रभु यीशु मसीह में लाए गए विश्वास और उसे उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करने से है, अन्य किसी प्रकार से नहीं।

Why The Law Cannot Save Us – 26

Review and Conclusion (Part 1)

 

    For the past some time, in this series on "Why God's Law Can't Save Us", we've been looking at and analyzing various aspects of the Law and salvation. To check the reality and truth of the common belief that only good persons can be acceptable to God, therefore, man must be good, we began the series by looking at what is good, who is good? We saw that the definition of good and of being good is only by God, not by man or the world. And only that which is good according to God is acceptable to Him; and He has given His criteria related to this in His word the Bible. We also saw that it is only God who actually is good. Man can never be good and acceptable to God through any of his efforts. But we have also seen that God is ever willing to accept man, even in his natural sinful state, just as he is, no matter how many and how heinous his sins may be. God is willing to accept, and cleanse the natural man, who comes to Him in repentance of his sins, and with full submission and obedience towards Him. God is willing to give everyone an entry into His kingdom, to be restored to fellowship with, but only on God’s terms and conditions, not man’s.

    We have also seen that keeping the Law does not mean fulfilling rituals, observing and celebrating festivals, giving of offerings to God, etc. Rather, to obey the Law means to truly love God, to be completely devoted and obedient to Him, and to similarly love other human beings as well (Matthew 22:35-40). We understood by taking a very brief look at the history of the world that whether a natural, unregenerate, unsaved man, who follows the morality and righteousness of man’s own making; or whether God's chosen people, having knowledge of God's Law and His morality and righteousness, and being led by God's prophets; neither of them could reach the level of morality and righteousness acceptable to God. Those who had God's Law were unable to keep it, and ultimately were as unacceptable to God as those who did not have God's law.

    Then we began to look at the reasons for man's weakness to keep God’s Law. We saw that man, from his creation itself, is inferior to the angels. Satan was the supreme angel before he fell into sin and was cast out of heaven along with other angels following him. Because God does not take away from anyone the authority and gifts He has given, Satan and his demons are still more powerful and wiser than man. That is why they easily entrap human beings by their wickedness and make them fall into sin. But the man who, in submission to God, in obedience to God, confronts Satan according to God’s Word and His method, can overcome Satan and his tactics through the power of God. And because Satan has brought men into committing sin through his deviousness, therefore God, who is the upright and true Judge, is impartial, commands all men to repent of their sins so that their relationship with God gets restored; since God knows that man cannot be redeemed of his sins by observing any "law", whether that "law" is given by God, or made by men. This redemption is possible only through the work of the sacrifice made by the Lord Jesus Christ. That is why he is giving equal opportunity and the command to all, to escape from the punishment of sins.

    Then we also looked at the purpose of the Law, and its limitations; and understood that the Law can help man to recognize sin; can convict him of sinning; but it cannot give man a way to escape from sin, nor can it prevent him from committing sin. We also saw that the Law is a measure of God's standard of righteousness. By bringing everything before it for comparison, man can see and understand where he stands according to the standard of God's righteousness, what is the level of his morality? The Law is meant to identify sin and righteousness, not to remedy and solve the problem of sin. The solution of our sins and the way to make us righteous is only by repenting of our sins and by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, accepting Him as Savior; there is no other way.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings.
