पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि परमेश्वर ने प्रभु भोज में अयोग्य रीति से, अर्थात, मात्र एक रीति के समान, बिना स्वयं को जाँचे, और अंगीकार तथा प्रभु से क्षमा प्रार्थना द्वारा स्थिति को सुधारे बिना, भाग लेने के बहुत गंभीर और हानिकारक परिणामों के बारे में चेतावनी दी है। केवल यही स्थान नहीं है जहाँ पर परमेश्वर ने अपने निर्देशों, और वचन को हल्के में लेने के बारे में चेतावनी दी है। विलापगीत 3:33 में लिखा है "क्योंकि वह मनुष्यों को अपने मन से न तो दबाता है और न दु:ख देता है।” पूरा पुराना नियम, तथा भविष्यदवक्ताओं की सेवकाई परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता तथा उसके वचन को हल्के में लेने पर है। आदान की वाटिका से आरम्भ करके, नूह के समय के हालात तक, और परिणामस्वरूप सारे संसार में आई जल-प्रलय और दुष्टों के नाश, और फिर इस्राएलियों का इतिहास परमेश्वर के निर्देशों की बारम्बार की गई अनाज्ञाकारिता, और उसके वचन की अनदेखी करके, अपने ही मन और इच्छा के अनुसार करने, और फिर इसके लिए दुःख उठाने, क्योंकि परमेश्वर के पास कोई विकल्प शेष नहीं रह गया था (2 इतिहास 36:15-16) से भरा पड़ा है। इसी प्रकार से हम नए नियम में भी देखते हैं कि जब आवश्यक होता है, तब परमेश्वर अपने बच्चों की ताड़ना भी करता है, उन्हें सुधारने और सही मार्ग पर लाने के लिए (इब्रानियों 12:5-11)। पवित्र आत्मा ने पौलुस के द्वारा कुरिन्थियों को, और अब हमें चेतावनी दी है कि अयोग्य रीति से प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेने, परमेश्वर की अनाज्ञाकारिता करने, उसके वचन की बातों की अनदेखी करने के बहुत गंभीर परिणाम होंगे।

हम इब्रानियों 10:28-29 से देखते हैं कि परमेश्वर अपने पुत्र के निरादर को हल्के में नहीं लेता है; और यह ठीक भी है, क्योंकि यदि कोई परमेश्वर पुत्र का आदर नहीं करता है तो वह परमेश्वर पिता का आदर भी नहीं करेगा (यूहन्ना 5:23)। इसलिए, मानव जाति के उद्धार के लिए प्रभु द्वारा दिए गए बलिदान के चिह्नों को हल्के में अथवा अनुचित रीति से लेना, परमेश्वर का निरादर करना है, और फिर उसके परिणामों को भी भुगतना पड़ेगा। जो भाग लेते समय प्रभु की देह को नहीं पहचानता है; अर्थात परमेश्वर के निष्पाप, निष्कलंक, पवित्र पुत्र के द्वारा संपूर्ण मानवजाति के समस्त पापों को अपने ऊपर ले लेने और मनुष्यों को उनके पापों के परिणाम से छुड़ाने तथा उद्धार देने के लिए स्वयं पाप बन जाने की गंभीरता और अवर्णनीय महानता को नहीं पहचानते हैं; जो प्रभु भोज में योग्य रीति से भाग लेने की अनिवार्यता को नहीं पहचानते हैं; जो प्रभु यीशु द्वारा अपने शिष्यों के लिए प्रभु भोज की स्थापना करने के महत्व और उद्देश्य को नहीं पहचानते हैं, उन्हें भी फिर अपनी देह में ही इसके परिणामों को भी भुगतना पड़ेगा। और ये परिणाम 1 कुरिन्थियों 11:30 में दिए गए हैं - निर्बलता, रोग, और मृत्यु।

जैसा कि हम पद 30 से देख सकते हैं, पौलुस के यह पत्र लिखने के समय, ये परिणाम कुरिन्थियों में दिखने लगे थे। तात्पर्य यह है कि प्रभु की मेज़ का निरादर करना और उसमें अयोग्य रीति से भाग लेना वहाँ काफी समय से चल रहा होगा, और अन्ततः उन्हें इसके लिए दण्ड देने के अतिरिक्त, परमेश्वर के पास कोई विकल्प नहीं रहा। यह निर्गमन 34:5-7 में परमेश्वर द्वारा मूसा पर अपने नाम के प्रकट किये जाने का एक उदाहरण है - कि वह दयालु और विलम्ब से कोप करने वाला तो है, परन्तु साथ ही, एक न्यायी परमेश्वर भी है जो दुष्टों और अनाज्ञाकारी लोगों को उनका उचित परिणाम देता है। पौलुस ने तब अथेने के लोगों से बात करते हुए, और आज हमारे लिए, प्रेरितों 17:30-31 में कहा है कि जो प्रभु यीशु अपने प्रेम, अनुग्रह, और दया में, उसके पास पश्चाताप और समर्पण के साथ आने वाले सभी लोगों को पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार देना चाहता है, देने की प्रतीक्षा कर रहा है; वही अन्ततः न्यायी बन कर बैठेगा, और सभी को, जिसके वे योग्य हैं, वह देगा, यदि उन्होंने अभी पापों से उद्धार पाने और उसके परिणामों से बचाए जाने के इस समय और अवसर का सदुपयोग नहीं किया। और इसीलिए, हम नए नियम के, अनुग्रह के समय के लोगों को, पुराने नियम की घटना के आधार पर, इब्रानियों 3:7-19 की चेतावनी भी दी गई है।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, और प्रभु की मेज़ में भाग लेते रहे हैं, तो कृपया अपने जीवन को जाँच कर देख लें कि आप वास्तव में पापों से छुड़ाए गए हैं तथा आप ने अपना जीवन प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता में जीने के लिए उस को समर्पित किया है। आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की सही शिक्षाओं को जानने के द्वारा एक परिपक्व विश्वासी बनें, तथा सभी शिक्षाओं को वचन की कसौटी पर परखने, और बेरिया के विश्वासियों के समान, लोगों की बातों को पहले वचन से जाँचने और उनकी सत्यता को निश्चित करने के बाद ही उनको स्वीकार करने और मानने वाले बनें (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्यथा शैतान द्वारा छोड़े हुए झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यद्वक्ता मसीह के सेवक बन कर (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15) अपनी ठग विद्या और चतुराई से आपको प्रभु के लिए अप्रभावी कर देंगे और आप के मसीही जीवन एवं आशीषों का नाश कर देंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Lord’s Table - Participate Duly Honoring The Lord’s Body (2)

 

We had seen in the previous article that God has warned about the serious and very harmful consequences of taking part in the Holy Communion unworthily, i.e., merely as a ritual, without properly examining self, and correcting the situation through confession and seeking Lord's forgiveness. This is not the only place that God has warned about taking His instructions and Word for granted. It says in Lamentations 3:33 "For He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men." The whole of the Old Testament, and the ministry of the Old Testament Prophets is about this disobedience and taking God's Word for granted. Starting from the Garden of Eden, to the situation in Noah's time and the consequent global flood and destruction of the wicked, and then the history of the Israelites, is full of repeated disobedience and ignoring God's Word, doing according to their fancy, and then suffering for it, having left no other choice for God (2 Chronicles 36:15-16). Similarly, in the New Testament we see that when necessary, God chastises His children, to correct and reform them (Hebrews 12:5-11). The Holy Spirit, through Paul, warned the Corinthians, and now us, that partaking in the Lord's Table unworthily, disobeying God, ignoring the instructions in His Word, will have severe consequences.

We see from Hebrews 10:28-29 that God does not take the dishonoring of His Son lightly; and rightly so, since anyone who does not honor God the Son, does not honor God the Father either (John 5:23). So, dishonoring God by trivially partaking of the symbols of the Lord’s sacrifice for salvation of mankind, will have its consequences. Those who do not discern the Lord’s body, i.e., do not recognize the seriousness and indescribable magnitude of the pure, sinless, spotless Son of God taking the entire sin of all of mankind upon Himself and becoming sin, to redeem and save all mankind; do not recognize the necessity of worthily participating in the Holy Communion; do not give due importance to the Lord’s purpose in instituting the Holy Communion for His disciples, will have to suffer the consequences in their own body. And these consequences are given in 1 Corinthians 11:30 - weakness, sickness, and even death.

As we can make out from verse 30, these consequences were already present amongst the Corinthians, at the time of Paul's writing this letter. The implication is that the dishonoring of the Lord's Table, and participating unworthily, must have been going on for some time, till eventually God was left with no alternative, but to punish them. This is another example of God's name, as he revealed it to Moses in Exodus 34:5-7 - that though He is a merciful and long-suffering God, but He is also a just God, who gives the disobedient, the wicked their due. Paul speaking to the Athenians and today to us, in Acts 17:30-31, that the same Lord Jesus, who in His love, grace, and mercy is willing and waiting to provide forgiveness of sins and salvation to all who come to Him in repentance and submission, will eventually sit as the judge, and give to everyone what they deserve, if they do not make proper use of this time and opportunity to be saved and delivered from the consequences of their sins. Hence, based on the incident of the Old Testament, the caution of Hebrews 3:7-19, for us the people of the New Testament, those of the age of grace.

If you are a Christian Believer and have been participating in the Lord’s Table, then please examine your life and make sure that you are actually a disciple of the Lord, i.e., are redeemed from your sins, have submitted and surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus to live in obedience to Him and His Word. You should also always, like the Berean Believers, first check and test all teachings that you receive from the Word of God, and only after ascertaining the truth and veracity of the teachings brought to you by men, should you accept and obey them (Acts 17:11; 1 Thessalonians 5:21). If you do not do this, the false apostles and prophets sent by Satan as ministers of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), will by their trickery, cunningness, and craftiness render you ineffective for the Lord and cause severe damage to your Christian life and your rewards.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

पिछले लेखों में 1 कुरिन्थियों 11:28 से अध्ययन करने के बाद, अब हम आगे, 1 कुरिन्थियों 11:29-30 पर आते हैं। प्रेरित पौलुस में होकर पवित्र आत्मा इस पद से मसीही विश्वासियों के सामने प्रभु की मेज़ में अयोग्य रीति से भाग लेने के बहुत गंभीर तथा हानिकारक प्रभावों के बारे में बताता है। कुछ ही समय पहले हमने 1 कुरिन्थियों 11:27 से देखा था कि प्रभु की मेज़ में योग्य रीति से तथा अयोग्य रीति से भाग लेने का क्या अर्थ होता है। संक्षेप में, प्रभु की मेज़ में योग्य रीति से भाग लेना, उसमें किसी अनुष्ठान के समान या डिनॉमिनेशन की परंपरा पूरी करने के लिए नहीं, परन्तु उस अभिप्राय और रीति से भाग लेना है जो प्रभु यीशु ने प्रभु भोज को स्थापित करते समय निर्धारित किया था। अकसर, वे लोग जो प्रभु भोज में रीति या परंपरा के अनुसार भाग लेते हैं, यह गलत धारणा रखते हैं कि इससे वे धर्मी बन जाते हैं, परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य हो जाते हैं, तथा स्वर्ग में प्रवेश पाने के योग्य हो जाते हैं। किन्तु यह बिल्कुल गलत और बाइबल के विपरीत धारणा है; परमेश्वर के वचन में कहीं भी, न तो प्रभु यीशु द्वारा, न पौलुस, अथवा अन्य किसी के द्वारा ऐसा कुछ भी कहा गया, न ही कोई ऐसा अभिप्राय दिया गया है। परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए उद्देश्यों - प्रभु यीशु के जीवन और बलिदान को स्मरण करना तथा उसकी मृत्यु का प्रचार करना, अर्थात उसकी गवाही देना, से भिन्न कोई भी उद्देश्य देना अयोग्य रीति से भाग लेना है।

योग्य रीति से भाग लेने से संबंधित एक और बहुत महत्वपूर्ण शिक्षा है कि भाग लेने वाले को पहले अपने आप को जाँच लेना चाहिए, अपने पापों, गलतियों, और कमज़ोरियाँ को प्रभु के सामने मान कर, प्रभु से उनके लिए क्षमा माँगनी चाहिए, और तब योग्य रीति से भाग लेना चाहिए। किन्तु इसे भी एक व्यर्थ की परंपरा बना दिया गया है, अब कलीसिया के एकत्रित लोग, अपने पादरी के पीछे-पीछे अनुष्ठान की विधि के अनुसार कही जाने वाली कुछ बातों को दोहराते हैं, अधिकांशतः औपचारिकता पूरी करने के लिए, न कि सार्थक रीति से अथवा किसी श्रद्धा या खराई के साथ, और फिर जा कर मेज़ में भाग ले लेते हैं।

The Lord’s Table - Participate Duly Honoring The Lord’s Body (1)

 

Having studied from 1 Corinthians 11:28 in the previous articles, we will now move to 1 Corinthians 11:29-30. The Holy Spirit, through Paul, from this verse onwards puts before the Christian Believers the serious and very harmful consequences of unworthy participation in the Lord’s Table. A short while back, from 1 Corinthians 11:27, we had seen what participating in the Lord’s Table worthily and unworthily means. Essentially, to participate worthily is to participate in the Lord’s Table, not as a ritual, or a denominational tradition to be fulfilled, but in the manner and with the purpose instituted by the Lord Jesus. Often those who participate in the Holy Communion ritualistically have this false notion that their participation makes them righteous, acceptable to God, and worthy of gaining entry into heaven. But this is an absolutely unBiblical idea; nowhere in God’s Word did the Lord Jesus, or Paul, or anyone else ever say or even imply this. Ascribing any other purpose than what God has given - a remembrance of the Lord Jesus’s life and sacrifice, and proclaiming the Lord’s death, i.e., witnessing for Him, makes it an unworthy participation.

Another very important teaching associated with participating worthily is that the participant should first examine himself, confess his sins, errors and short-comings before the Lord, seek His forgiveness for them, and having been forgiven, then to take part in a worthy manner, i.e., with the person’s sins dealt with and his being made worthy by the Lord. But this too has been made into a vain ritual, where the congregation simply repeats after the Pastor, a series of liturgical statements, more perfunctorily, than meaningfully or with any sincerity of heart, and then goes ahead to partake of the Lord’s Table.

In 1 Corinthians 11:29, we have a very serious word of caution for those who do not partake of the Holy Communion in a worthy manner - they eat and drink judgment to themselves. And the next verse, i.e., verse 30 shows us that the effects of this judgment come upon the person here on earth itself, even before the person eventually stands before the Lord Jesus to give an account of his life to the Lord, and receive the consequent rewards – good, or bad (Acts 17:30-31; 2 Corinthians 5:10). Nothing that God has said and instructed, can ever be taken lightly or presumed that it will be ignored. Even the Born-Again Christian Believers, the children of God cannot presume to compromise with God’s instructions and get away with it lightly. Rather, 1 Peter 4:17-18 say that God’s judgment will begin with the Believers, and 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 tells us how minutely and seriously it will be done. This judgment of the Believers is not to decide on their salvation, but for their eternal rewards, as is made clear in 1 Corinthians 3:15, that there will be some who will remain saved but also remain empty handed for eternity, since none of their works were worthy of any rewards.

In the next article we will consider about the retribution that comes because of taking God's instructions for granted.

सुसमाचार क्या है? (1)

हम पिछले लेखों से देखते आ रहे हैं कि बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों की एक पहचान यह भी है कि वे बहुत सरलता से भ्रामक शिक्षाओं द्वारा बहकाए तथा गलत बातों में भटकाए जाते हैं (इफिसियों 4:14)। इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं को शैतान और उस के दूत झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्‍वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)। ये लोग, और उनकी शिक्षाएं, दोनों ही बहुत आकर्षक, रोचक, और ज्ञानवान, यहाँ तक कि भक्तिपूर्ण और श्रद्धापूर्ण भी प्रतीत हो सकती हैं, किन्तु साथ ही उनमें अवश्य ही बाइबल की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डली हुई होती हैं। जैसा परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है, यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता, इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं और गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन विषय, होते हैं - प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार। साथ ही इस पद में सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है, कि इन तीनों विषयों के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य हैं, वे सब वचन में पहले से ही बता और लिखवा दिए गए हैं। इसलिए बाइबल से देखने, जाँचने, तथा वचन के आधार पर शिक्षाओं को परखने के द्वारा सही और गलत की पहचान करना कठिन नहीं है। 

पिछले लेखों में हमने इन गलत शिक्षा देने वाले लोगों के द्वारा, पहले तो प्रभु यीशु से संबंधित सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं को देखा; फिर उसके बाद, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित सामान्यतः बताई और सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं की वास्तविकता को वचन की बातों से देखा; और पिछले लेखों से हमने सुसमाचार से संबंधित गलत शिक्षाओं के बारे में देखना आरंभ किया है, इस विषय के परिचय को देखा है। इस परिचय में हमने देखा है कि प्रभु यीशु का सुसमाचार किसी सांसारिक राज्य, संपत्ति अथवा संपन्नता के बारे में नहीं है, वरन परमेश्वर के राज्य में मनुष्य के प्रवेश प्राप्त करने के बारे में है। इस प्रवेश के लिए सबसे पहला कदम है प्रत्येक व्यक्ति द्वारा व्यक्तिगत रीति से अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करना, जो सभी के लिए समान रीति से अनिवार्य है, चाहे वे किसी भी धर्म, धारणा, मान्यता, या समुदाय के हों, चाहे अपने आप को पिछली कई पीढ़ियों “प्रभु के लोग” अर्थात ईसाई या मसीही होना ही क्यों न समझते हों। आज हम यहाँ से आगे बढ़ेंगे और देखेंगे कि सुसमाचार क्या है। 

सुसमाचार क्या है?

 

जैसा हम पिछले लेख में देख चुके हैं, सुसमाचार शब्द का अर्थ है भला समाचार या अच्छी खबर। यह लोगों को प्रदान की जाने वाली जानकारी है; यह कोई प्रथा, परंपरा, या विधि नहीं है जिसे करने के द्वारा व्यक्ति धार्मिकता के किसी विशेष स्तर पर पहुँच जाता है, और परमेश्वर फिर उसे अपने राज्य में प्रवेश देने के लिए बाध्य हो जाता है। संसार के लिए सुसमाचार अच्छा समाचार तब ही हो सकता है, जब उसकी तुलना में कुछ बुरा समाचार भी हो, और वह बुरा समाचार सारे संसार के सभी लोगों पर लागू हो; अन्यथा सुसमाचार वास्तव में सुसमाचार हो ही नहीं सकता है। इस “बुरे समाचार” को हम परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के कुछ पदों से देखते हैं:

* रोमियों 3:23 इसलिये कि सब ने पाप किया है और परमेश्वर की महिमा से रहित हैं।

* रोमियों 5:12 इसलिये जैसा एक मनुष्य के द्वारा पाप जगत में आया, और पाप के द्वारा मृत्यु आई, और इस रीति से मृत्यु सब मनुष्यों में फैल गई, इसलिये कि सब ने पाप किया।

* रोमियों 6:23 क्योंकि पाप की मजदूरी तो मृत्यु है, परन्तु परमेश्वर का वरदान हमारे प्रभु मसीह यीशु में अनन्त जीवन है। 

अर्थात, संसार का प्रत्येक मनुष्य, उस पाप के दोष के साथ जन्म लेता है, जो अदन की वाटिका में आदम और हव्वा के पाप करने से मनुष्य जाति में प्रवेश कर गया था, अनुवांशिक रीति से उनमें बस गया था, जो एक से दूसरी पीढ़ी में फैलने वाला दोष था। उस पाप के कारण मृत्यु ने सृष्टि में प्रवेश किया, और मृत्यु सभी मनुष्यों में फैल गई। यह मृत्यु दो प्रकार की है - आत्मिक और शारीरिक। आत्मिक मृत्यु के कारण मनुष्य परमेश्वर की संगति और सहभागिता से दूर है; और शारीरिक मृत्यु के कारण वह अन्ततः एक दिन मरेगा ही। परिणामस्वरूप मनुष्य जन्म लेते ही मरना आरंभ कर देता है, और उसकी आयु पूरी हो जाने पर मर जाता है। मनुष्य अपनी स्वाभाविक पापमय दशा में ऐसा कुछ भी कर पाने के अयोग्य है जिसके द्वारा वह अपनी इस परिस्थिति को पलट सके, अपने किन्हीं कर्मों अथवा प्रयासों के द्वारा परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी और उसे स्वीकार्य बन सके। हम इस विषय को विस्तार से पहले के कुछ लेखों में देख चुके हैं, इसलिए यहाँ इन पर और अधिक चर्चा नहीं करेंगे। अर्थात, बुरी खबर या बुरा समाचार यह है कि संसार में जन्म लेने वाला प्रत्येक मनुष्य अपनी स्वाभाविक पापी दशा के कारण परमेश्वर से दूर, और अपना जीवन काल समाप्त हो जाने के पश्चात अनन्त मृत्यु, यानि कि हमेशा के लिए परमेश्वर से दूर नरक में रहने की दशा में है।

समस्त मानव जाति के लिए भला समाचार क्या है, इसे हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे। 

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप प्रभु परमेश्वर के सुसमाचार से संबंधित किसी गलत शिक्षाओं में न पड़े हों। यह सुनिश्चित कर लीजिए कि आप सच्चे पश्चाताप और समर्पण तथा सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु से पापों की क्षमा के द्वारा परमेश्वर के जन बने हैं। न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाली ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें, यदि सही हों, तब ही उन्हें मानें, अन्यथा अस्वीकार कर दें। 

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Understanding What the Gospel is (1)

We have been seeing in the previous articles that one of the ways the childlike, immature Christian Believers can be identified is that they can very easily be deceived, beguiled and misled by wrong doctrines and false teachings. Satan and his followers bring in their wrong doctrines and misinterpretations of God’s Word through people who masquerade as apostles, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). These deceptive people and their false messages, their teachings appear to be very attractive, interesting, knowledgeable, even very reverential and righteous; but there is always something or the other that is extra-Biblical or unBiblical mixed into them. These wrong teachings and false doctrines are mainly about three topics - the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel, as God the Holy Spirit got it written down through the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! In this verse a very important way to identify between the false and the correct, discern between them, and escape from being beguiled by Satan is also given - that which is the truth about these three topics has already been given and written in God’s Word. Therefore, by cross-checking every teaching and doctrine from the Bible, the true and the false can be discerned; that which is not already present in God’s Word is false, and their preacher is a preacher of satanic deceptions.

In the previous articles, after seeing some commonly preached and taught false things about the Lord Jesus, next we had seen the Biblical facts and teachings about the wrong things often taught and preached regarding the Holy Spirit. In the preceding articles we had started to consider the wrong teachings about the Gospel, and had gone through the Introduction to this topic. In this Introduction we had seen that the Gospel of the Lord Jesus is not about any earthly kingdom, wealth or prosperity, but about man being able to enter the kingdom of God. We had seen that the first step to man’s entering God’s kingdom is his repenting of sins, which is equally important and applicable for everybody, no matter what their religion, beliefs, concepts, or community may be; even if their family has been “christian” for many generations and they may be considering themself as “people of God.” Today we will proceed ahead from here, and see what the Gospel is.

What is the Gospel?

As we have seen in the previous article, the literal meaning of the word Gospel is ‘good news.’ It is an information being provided to the people; it is not a tradition, ritual, or method the fulfillment of which enables a person to reach a higher level of being “religious” or “righteous” so that God becomes compelled to give him an entrance into His kingdom. Any news or information can be seen as good for the whole world, only when there is ‘bad news’ in comparison; and that ‘bad news’ is universally applicable to all people of the world. Only then can ‘good news’ actually be the good news for the entire world. What this ‘bad news’ is, we will see from some verses from God’s Word the Bible:

* Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

* Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned

* Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    In other words, every person born in this world, is born with sin, which entered into mankind because of the sin committed by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and this sin has the tendency to be genetically passed down, spreading to all generations of mankind since then. Because of that sin, death entered creation, and spread to all of mankind. This death is of two kinds, spiritual and physical. Because of spiritual death man is separated from the fellowship of God; and because of physical death, every person will eventually die. Consequently, every person begins to die from the moment of his birth, and the process is completed with the completion of his life-span. In his natural sinful state, man is absolutely incapable of doing anything to overturn this condition that he is in, and thereby to become righteous and sinless in God’s eyes, become acceptable to Him, through any of his own works or efforts. We have already seen this in detail in some of the earlier articles, therefore, we will not go into the details of it now. Therefore, the ‘bad news’ is that every person born on earth, in his natural condition, is separated from God, and in a state of being eternally separated from God in hell after his time on earth is over.

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
