मनुष्य, अपने आप से, शैतान के सामने असमर्थ है - 7 

 

पिछले कुछ लेखों से हम तीन बातों के द्वारा यह समझने के लिए कि मनुष्य क्यों अपनी सामर्थ्य और योग्यताओं से शैतान का सामना करने और उस पर जयवन्त होने में असमर्थ है, परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के तथ्य एकत्रित करते आ रहे हैं। बाइबल के आधार पर इन तीनों बातों पर विचार करने, और उनका विश्लेषण करने के बाद, अब हमारे सामने इन तीनों बातों से सम्बन्धित बाइबल के तथ्य और परिणाम हैं। हमने इन तीनों बातों के बारे में अभी तक जो देखा और सीखा है, आज हम बातों को संक्षेप में एक साथ लेकर देखेंगे; और फिर अगले लेख में हम अपने मुख्य विषय, व्यवस्था और उद्धार, में उन बातों के व्यावहारिक उपयोग के बारे में देखेंगे। ये तीं बातें, और हमने उनके बारे में अभी तक जो सीखा है, वे हैं:

 

(i) परमेश्वर की हर बात, उसका हर वचन अपरिवर्तनीय हैं, अपरिवर्तनीय हैं, (इब्रानियों 1:12; 13:8; प्रकाशितवाक्य 1:8; भजन 102:27; मलाकी 3:6), उसके द्वारा दिए गए अधिकार और वरदान अटल हैं, और वह उन्हें कभी वापस नहीं लेता है (रोमियों 11:29; भजन 89:34)। परमेश्वर अपने लिए कहता है “मैं जो हूँ सो हूँ” (निर्गमन 3:14); तथा हर समय और काल के संदर्भ में वह अपने आप को वर्तमान काल में, “मैं हूँ” अर्थात न भूत काल और न भविष्य काल वरन केवल वर्तमान ही कहता है (यूहन्ना 8:58); अर्थात, परमेश्वर समय की सीमा से बंधा हुआ नहीं है, आदि से ही अंत को जानता है, सब कुछ के बारे में सब कुछ जानता है (यशायाह 46:10)। इसलिए उसने जिसे भी जो भी दिया है वह सोच समझ कर, सभी संभावनाओं, अभिप्रायों, और घटित होने वाली घटनाओं को जानते हुए, किसी न किसी उद्देश्य के साथ दिया है। उसने जो एक बार कह दिया, वह उसे पूरा भी करता है (गिनती 23:19)। क्योंकि वह कभी भी कोई भी गलती नहीं करता है, इसलिए उसे अपने किसी भी निर्णय में संशोधन करने या उसे बदलने की कभी कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है।

(ii) सृष्टि के आरम्भ से ही, अपनी रचना में ही मनुष्य स्वाभाविक रीति से स्‍वर्गदूतों से कम सामर्थी है (भजन 103:20; 2 थिस्स्लुनीकियों 1:7; 2 पतरस 2:11)। अर्थात मनुष्य में अपनी किसी सामर्थ्य या योग्यता से किसी भी स्वर्गदूत से बढ़कर होने अथवा कुछ भी कर पाने की क्षमता नहीं है। यह मनुष्य का परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित स्तर है, और मनुष्य अपने आप से इसे बदल नहीं सकता है, केवल इसका निर्वाह ही कर सकता है।

  

(iii) सृष्टि के वरीयता क्रम में मनुष्य स्वाभाविक रीति से स्‍वर्गदूतों से निचले क्रम का है (इब्रानियों 2:6-10)। उद्धार पाने के बाद, परमेश्वर के आज्ञाकारी स्‍वर्गदूतों के संदर्भ में, उसका यह क्रम, बदल दिया जाता है (इब्रानियों 1:14)। उसके परमेश्वर की संतान हो जाने (यूहन्ना 1:12-13), और अंश अंश करके प्रभु की समानता में परिवर्तित होते चले जाने (2 कुरिन्थियों 3:18), और उसके परमेश्वर का वारिस तथा मसीह का संगी वारिस (रोमियों 8:17) हो जाने के कारण, उद्धार पाए हुए व्यक्ति को परमेश्वर के आज्ञाकारी स्‍वर्गदूतों से उच्च स्तर का कर दिया जाता है।

 

किन्तु शैतान, उसके दूत, उसकी दुष्टात्माएं क्योंकि परमेश्वर के अनाज्ञाकारी हैं इसलिए वे परमेश्वर की उद्धार पाई हुई सन्तानों के भी अनाज्ञाकारी रहते हैं। जिस प्रकार से वे परमेश्वर के स्तर को स्वीकार नहीं करते हैं, उसी प्रकार से वे उद्धार पाए हुए मनुष्य के परमेश्वर की सन्तान होने के स्तर को भी स्वीकार नहीं करते हैं। बल्कि वे उद्धार पाए हुए मनुष्य पर हावी रह कर उसे गिराने के प्रयासों में लगे रहते हैं (1 पतरस 5:8)। और क्योंकि उद्धार पाया हुआ मनुष्य, इस पृथ्वी के अपने जीवन काल में, परिवर्तित होते चले जाने की ज़ारी क्रिया में है, अर्थात, उसे अभी तक वह स्वर्गीय सिद्धता प्राप्त नहीं हुई है, इसीलिये, उद्धार पाया हुआ व्यक्ति भी अपने आप में, अपनी सामर्थ्य से, शैतानी शक्तियों पर परमेश्वर की सहायता के बिना विजयी नहीं हो सकता है।

अगले लेख में हम इन निष्कर्षों को अन्य बातों के साथ मिलाकर इनके व्यावहारिक अर्थ और अभिप्राय को देखेंगे। इनके द्वारा हम देखेंगे और समझेंगे कि मनुष्यों के शैतान का सामना करने में असमर्थ होने और पाप में गिरते रहने पर भी, क्यों परमेश्वर द्वारा प्रेरितों 17:30 में स्वाभाविक अपरिवर्तित मनुष्य द्वारा पाप करने को “अज्ञानता के समय” की बात कहकर उसे दण्ड देने में आनाकानी करता है, पश्चाताप करने के लिए कहता है, और अपने अनुग्रह में उसे पापों का दण्ड पाने से बचने का अवसर देता है।

किन्तु अभी के लिए हमें अपने जीवनों में झांक कर देखना आवश्यक है कि क्या हम परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए इस अवसर का, उसके आनाकानी करने का, सदुपयोग कर रहे हैं कि नहीं? क्या हमने अपने पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करके, अपना जीवन उसे सच्चे मन से समर्पित किया है कि नहीं? या हम अभी भी अपने धर्म, परिवार, जन्म से धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों तथा रीति-रिवाजों के पालन करने वाले होने, अपने धर्म-गुरुओं और अगुवों के चलाए चलने वाले होने, आदि व्यर्थ और निष्फल बातों के द्वारा ही परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में भले और धर्मी, तथा उसे स्वीकार्य होने, उसके साथ स्वर्ग में प्रवेश करने वाले समझे बैठे हैं, शैतान के धोखे से अपने अनन्त जीवन के विषय निश्चिंत हो गए हैं? आज, अभी, समय और अवसर रहते हुए पापों से पश्चाताप करके अपना जीवन प्रभु यीशु मसीह को समर्पित कर दें, उससे पापों के लिए क्षमा माँग लें, परमेश्वर की संतान बन जाएं। बाद में कहीं बहुत देर न हो जाए।

  

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Why The Law Cannot Save Us – 9

Man, on his own, is Incapable of Overcoming Satan - 7

Over the previous few articles we have been trying to understand from God’s Word the Bible, through three things, why man, through his own power and abilities, is incapable of facing and overcoming Satan. Having Biblically considered and analyzed, we now have before us the Biblical facts and results of these three things. Today we will summarize and put together what we have learnt so far; and in the next article we will go on to their practical application in our topic of Law and Salvation. The three things and what we have learnt about them are:

(i) Every Word of God and everything He says is immutable, unchangeable (Hebrews 1:12; 13:8; Revelation 1:8; Psalm 102:27; Malachi 3:6); the authority and gifts bestowed by Him are irrevocable, and He never takes them back (Romans 11:29; Psalm 89:34). God says of Himself, 'I AM WHO I AM' (Exodus 3:14); and in the context of all time and eras, He refers to Himself in the present tense, 'I AM'—that is, neither in the past nor the future, but only in the present (John 8:58). This means God is not bound by the limits of time; He knows the end from the beginning and knows everything about everything (Isaiah 46:10). Therefore, whatever He has given to anyone, He has given thoughtfully—knowing all possibilities, intentions, and future events—with a specific purpose. What He has spoken once, He also fulfills (Numbers 23:19). Because He never makes any mistake, He never has any need to revise or change any of His decisions.

(ii) Man, in his natural condition, in his creation, is less powerful than the angels (Psalm 103:20; 2 Thessalonians 1:7; 2 Peter 2:11). In other words, man has no power or ability to be better, or be more powerful than the angels, in any manner, in anything. This is the God given status of man, and man can never change it on his own, he can only obey it.

(iii) Human beings, in their natural state, are lower than the angels in the hierarchy of created beings (Hebrews 2:6-10). After he is saved, this order changes for the saved person (Hebrews 1:14). Because a saved person becomes a child of God (John 1:12-13), and he is continually being transformed, bit by bit, into the likeness of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18), to be an heir of God, a co-heir with Christ (Romans 8:17), therefore, the saved person’s status is also elevated to a status higher than angels. 

But Satan, his angels, his demons, since they are all disobedient to God, similarly they remain disobedient to even the saved children of God. Just as they do not accept the status of God, they also do not accept the status of the saved man, as a child of God. Rather, they are always trying to overpower the saved man and make him fall (1 Peter 5:8). Since the saved person, on earth is still “under transformation,” i.e., has not yet attained the ultimate heavenly perfection, therefore even the saved person, on his own, by his own strength, is incapable of being victorious over the satanic forces without God’s help.

In the next article, we'll look at the practical application and implications of these conclusions, by also considering them along with some other things. Through these we will see and understand why although humans are unable to face Satan, while they continue to fall in sin time and again, yet God calls this tendency of the unregenerate man to commit sin as something done in "times of ignorance" (Acts 17:30), and is reluctant to punish him for it; rather, asking him to repent of his sins and graciously gives him the opportunity to be saved, escape from being punished for sins.

But for now, we need to look into our lives and see whether we are making good use of this opportunity given to us by God, or, are we ignoring Him and His benevolence? Have we sincerely committed our lives to Him, repenting of our sins or not? Or, have we fallen for Satan's deceit, and we are still assuming of being good and righteous in the eyes of God through vain and ineffective things like our religion, family, our following and fulfilling religious rituals and customs since our birth, by our being obedient to our religious leaders, etc. and falsely believe that because of following these we will be considered acceptable to God, worthy of entering heaven with Him? Today, now, while having the time and opportunity to repent of sins, make the right decision, repent of your sins, submit your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, ask Him for forgiveness of sins, become a child of God. It may be too late afterwards.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

मनुष्य क्यों अपनी शक्ति और युक्ति द्वारा शैतान का सामना कर पाने और उसपर विजयी होने में असमर्थ है, इसे हम तीन बातों के अंतर्गत देखते और सीखते चले आ रहे हैं, जो हैं:

(i) परमेश्वर और उसकी बातें सर्वदा अपरिवर्तनीय तथा अटल और सर्वदा लागू रहती हैं; परमेश्वर जब किसी को कुछ उपहार या वरदान देता है, तो फिर उसे वापस कभी नहीं लेता है। 

(ii) मनुष्यों की तुलना में स्‍वर्गदूतों के कुछ गुण।  

(iii) मनुष्य और स्‍वर्गदूतों का तुलनात्मक स्तर या स्थान।

और हम इनमें से पहली दो पहली दो बातों को देख चुके हैं। आज हम तीसरी बात को देखेंगे, और फिर अगले लेख से इन तीनों बातों के निष्कर्ष और तात्पर्य को देखेंगे।

(iii) मनुष्य और स्‍वर्गदूतों का तुलनात्मक स्तर या स्थान: मनुष्य शैतान का सामना करने में असमर्थ है, क्योंकि अपनी सृष्टि से ही वह स्‍वर्गदूतों से कम सामर्थी और निचले स्तर का बनाया गया है। इसे थोड़ा बारीकी से समझना होगा:

 

प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पृथ्वी के अपने शारीरिक रूप में, पूर्णतः परमेश्वर भी था, और पूर्णतः मनुष्य भी। परमेश्वर होते हुए भी, पृथ्वी पर आने के समय वह अपने परमेश्वरत्व को छोड़ कर, अपने आप को शून्य कर के, मनुष्य का रूप लेकर, मनुष्य की समानता में पृथ्वी पर आ गया (फिलिप्पियों 2:5-8)। 

पृथ्वी पर मनुष्य के रूप में उसके स्तर के विषय इब्रानियों 2:6-10 देखिए: “6:वरन किसी ने कहीं, यह गवाही दी है, कि मनुष्य क्या है, कि तू उस की सुधि लेता है? या मनुष्य का पुत्र क्या है, कि तू उस पर दृष्टि करता है? 7: तू ने उसे स्‍वर्गदूतों से कुछ ही कम किया; तू ने उस पर महिमा और आदर का मुकुट रखा और उसे अपने हाथों के कामों पर अधिकार दिया। 8: तू ने सब कुछ उसके पांवों के नीचे कर दिया: इसलिये जब कि उसने सब कुछ उसके आधीन कर दिया, तो उसने कुछ भी रख न छोड़ा, जो उसके आधीन न हो: पर हम अब तक सब कुछ उसके आधीन नहीं देखते। 9: पर हम यीशु को जो स्‍वर्गदूतों से कुछ ही कम किया गया था, मृत्यु का दुख उठाने के कारण महिमा और आदर का मुकुट पहने हुए देखते हैं; ताकि परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह से हर एक मनुष्य के लिये मृत्यु का स्वाद चखे। 10: क्योंकि जिस के लिये सब कुछ है, और जिस के द्वारा सब कुछ है, उसे यही अच्छा लगा कि जब वह बहुत से पुत्रों को महिमा में पहुंचाए, तो उन के उद्धार के कर्ता को दुख उठाने के द्वारा सिद्ध करे।” 

यहाँ पद 8-10 में यह प्रकट है कि यह खंड प्रभु यीशु के विषय है, और इस संदर्भ के साथ पद 6 में “मनुष्य का पुत्र” भी प्रभु यीशु ही है, जो सुसमाचारों में उसका एक उपनाम था, जिसे उसने स्वयं भी अपने लिया प्रयोग किया है (मत्ती 8:20; 9:6; 12:8; मत्ती 16:13)। फिर पद 7 में उसके विषय लिखा गया है कि पृथ्वी पर भेजे जाने पर परमेश्वर ने “मनुष्य के पुत्र” अर्थात प्रभु यीशु को “स्‍वर्गदूतों से कुछ ही कम किया है”। अर्थात, अपनी सांसारिक पार्थिव देह में, मनुष्यों की समानता में होते हुए वह स्‍वर्गदूतों से (एकवचन ‘स्वर्गदूत’ - कोई विशिष्ट स्वर्गदूत नहीं; वरन बहुवचन ‘स्‍वर्गदूतों’ - सभी स्‍वर्गदूतों से) कुछ कम स्तर का हो गया। तात्पर्य यह कि मनुष्य, जिसकी समानता में प्रभु यीशु इस पृथ्वी पर आया, वह अपनी इस स्वाभाविक दशा में न केवल स्‍वर्गदूतों से कम सामर्थी है जैसा हमने ऊपर देखा है, वरन स्‍वर्गदूतों से कम स्तर का भी है। इसीलिए उद्धार पाए हुए मनुष्यों को परमेश्वर से दिए जाने वाले आदर में से एक है कि स्वर्गदूत, उनकी सेवा-टहल करने वाली आत्माएं बना दिए जाते हैं (इब्रानियों 1:14)। यदि सृष्टि के स्वाभाविक क्रम में मनुष्य की वरीयता स्‍वर्गदूतों से ऊपर होती, तो फिर उनके मनुष्यों की सेवा-टहल करने वाले बनाए जाने में मनुष्यों को क्या विशेष आदर मिलता? किन्तु उद्धार पाकर, परमेश्वर की संतान (यूहन्ना 1:12-13) हो जाने के कारण, अब उन उद्धार पाए हुओं के लिए वरीयता क्रम बदल दिया गया है; अब उद्धार पाया हुआ मनुष्य ऊपर और आज्ञाकारी स्वर्गदूत उनसे कम स्तर के कर हो जाते हैं।

इन तीनों बातों को देखने के बाद, अब हम अपने उस मूल विषय पर लौट सकते हैं, जिस से यह विश्लेषण आरम्भ हुआ था, कि निष्पक्ष, खरा, न्यायी, और बुराई तथा पाप से घृणा करने वाला परमेश्वर प्रेरितों 17:30 में यह क्यों कहता है कि यदि लोग अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करने को तैयार हैं, तो परमेश्वर उनके पापों को “अज्ञानता के समयों में किये गये पाप” मानकर, उनके प्रति आनाकानी करके, उनके लिये दण्ड देने के स्थान पर उन्हें क्षमा करने को तैयार है। 

जब पाप और बुराई से घृणा करने वाला परमेश्वर कृपालु और दयालु हो कर पापों को क्षमा करने के लिये तैयार है, तो उसकी इस उदारता और अवसर का लाभ क्यों न उठाया जाए? यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Man, on his own, is Incapable of Overcoming Satan - 6

In the previous articles we have been looking into and learning why man, on his own, by his strength and abilities, is incapable of standing up to Satan and overcoming him. We have been considering it under three points; they are:

(i) God and His Word are eternally unchanging, unalterable, firmly established and applicable; what He grants always remains irrevocable and in effect. 

(ii) Some characteristics of angels, in comparison to humans;

(iii) The comparative level or status of humans and angels.

and have seen the first two of these three points. Today we will see the third point, and then from the next article will look at the conclusions of these points and what we can derive from them.

(iii) The comparative level or place of humans and angels: Man is incapable of facing Satan, because from his creation he has not only been made less powerful than angels, but of a lesser status than the angels as well. This has to be understood a little more closely:

The Lord Jesus Christ, in his physical form on earth, was also wholly God, and wholly human. Being God, He emptied Himself when He came to earth in the form of man, and took upon Himself the likeness of man (Philippians 2:5-8).

Regarding His status as a man on earth, ponder over Hebrews 2:6-10: “6: But one testified in a certain place, saying: "What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him? 7: You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, and set him over the works of Your hands. 8: You have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. 9: But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. 10: For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings."

Here in verses 8–10 it is clear that this section is about the Lord Jesus, and in this context the phrase "Son of Man" in verse 6 is used for the Lord Jesus, a phrase used for Him, and also by Him in the Gospels. He often called himself by this name (e.g., Matthew 8:20; 9:6; 12:8; Matthew 16:13). Then in verse 7 it is written about him that when He was sent to earth, God made the "Son of man" i.e., Lord Jesus "a little lower than the angels". Implying that in His earthly body, being in the likeness of humans, He became somewhat lower than the angels (not singular 'angel' - i.e., not a specific angel; but plural 'angels' - i.e., all angels). This means that man, in whose likeness the Lord Jesus came to this earth, is not only less powerful than the angels in his natural state, as we have seen above; but is also of a lower status than the angels. That is why one of the God-given honor for saved humans is that angels are made their ministering spirits, to serve them (Hebrews 1:14). If, in the natural order of creation, man already possessed a superiority over angels, then how could it be a special honor for humans to have angels as ministering spirits for them? But having been saved, having become children of God (John 1:12-13), the created order of superiority, for those who are saved is now changed; now the saved man is elevated above and the obedient angels are made lower than him.

Having seen these three things, now we can return to our original point, the one from which this analysis started, that why does the impartial, honest, just God who hates evil and sin, say in Acts 17:30 that if people are willing to repent of their sins, then He is ready to consider their sins as those “done in times of ignorance” and overlook them.

If the God who hates sin and evil is willing to be gracious and merciful and forgive sins, then why shouldn’t one take the benefit of this opportunity and His benevolence? If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पिछले लेखों में हम देखते आ रहे हैं कि मनुष्य अपने आप से, अपनी शक्ति और बुद्धि के द्वारा, शैतान का सफलतापूर्वक सामना कर पाने में पूर्णतः असमर्थ है, चाहे वह स्वाभाविक और अपरिवर्तित दशा में हो, अथवा उद्धार पाया हुआ हो। उद्धार पाया हुआ मनुष्य परमेश्वर की सहायता और आज्ञाकारिता में रहते हुए तो शैतान का सामना कर सकता है, और उसकी युक्तियों पर जयवंत हो सकता है। किन्तु जैसे ही वह अपनी किसी भी गलत बात या अनाज्ञाकारिता के कारण परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित सीमाओं से ज़रा सा भी बाहर आता है, तो शैतान उसे डस लेता है (सभोपदेशक 10:8), पाप में फँसा लेता है।

परमेश्वर की व्यवस्था के उसके पास होते हुए भी, मनुष्य क्यों उसका पालन करने में, और शैतान का सामना करने में असमर्थ है, इसके तथा अन्य संबंधित बातों के कारणों का विश्लेषण करते हुए हमने पिछले लेख में तीन बातों को देखना आरंभ किया था, जिनके परमेश्वर के वचन की कुछ अन्य बातों के साथ समावेश, तथा फिर मिलने वाले निष्कर्षों से हम इन प्रश्नों के उत्तर तक पहुँचने पाएंगे।

ये तीन बातें हैं:

(i) परमेश्वर और उसकी बातें सर्वदा अपरिवर्तनीय तथा अटल और सर्वदा लागू रहती हैं; परमेश्वर जब किसी को कुछ उपहार या वरदान देता है, तो फिर उसे वापस कभी नहीं लेता है। 

(ii) मनुष्यों की तुलना में स्‍वर्गदूतों के कुछ गुण।  

(iii) मनुष्य और स्‍वर्गदूतों का तुलनात्मक स्तर या स्थान।

 

पिछले लेख में हमने इनमें से पहली बात, परमेश्वर और उसका वचन और बातें हमेशा ही अटल तथा अपरिवर्तनीय हैं तथा जो उपहार या वरदान वह दे देता है, उसे कभी वापस नहीं लेता है, को बाइबल के उदाहरणों से देखा और समझा था। आज हम दूसरी बात को बाइबल के उदाहरणों से देखेंगे और समझेंगे।

 

(ii) मनुष्यों की तुलना में स्‍वर्गदूतों के कुछ गुण: स्‍वर्गदूतों की सामर्थ्य के विषय वचन बताता है कि मनुष्यों की तुलना में स्वर्गदूत अधिक सामर्थी हैं; और उन्हें सामान्य रीति से सामर्थी कहा भी गया है, जबकि इसकी तुलना में मनुष्यों में से केवल कुछ ही सामर्थी हुए, किन्तु सामान्य रीति से सभी मनुष्यों को सामर्थी नहीं कहा गया है। इस संदर्भ में बाइबल के तीन पद देखिए:

·       भजन संहिता 103:20 “हे यहोवा के दूतों, तुम जो बड़े वीर हो, और उसके वचन के मानने से उसको पूरा करते हो उसको धन्य कहो!”

·       2 थिस्स्लुनीकियों 1:7 “और तुम्हें जो क्लेश पाते हो, हमारे साथ चैन दे; उस समय जब कि प्रभु यीशु अपने सामर्थी दूतों के साथ, धधकती हुई आग में स्वर्ग से प्रगट होगा।”

·        2 पतरस 2:11 “तौभी स्वर्गदूत जो शक्ति और सामर्थ्य में उन से बड़े हैं, प्रभु के सामने उन्हें बुरा भला कह कर दोष नहीं लगाते।” यदि इस पद को उसे संदर्भ में, पद 9-10 के साथ देखें तो प्रकट है कि स्वर्गदूत स्वाभाविक रीति से, शक्ति और सामर्थ्य में, मनुष्यों से बढ़कर हैं।

 

अगले लेख में हम तीसरे बिन्दु, मनुष्य और स्‍वर्गदूतों के तुलनात्मक स्थान या स्तर के बारे में देखेंगे, और फिर इन तीनों बिन्दुओं के निष्कर्ष पर आएंगे।

जैसा हम देख चुके हैं, मनुष्य अपने आप से, बिना परमेश्वर की सहायता के, शैतान पर कभी जयवन्त नहीं हो सकता है। और परमेश्वर की सहायता प्राप्त करने के लिये, मनुष्य को भी परमेश्वर का आज्ञाकारी जन होना होगा, जैसे कि स्वर्गदूत हैं। यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

In the previous articles, we have been seeing that man is absolutely incapable of overcoming Satan on his own, through his own strength and intelligence, whether he is in his natural and unregenerate state, or even after being saved. A saved person can face Satan and his tactics, and overcome him, with God's help, so long as he is obedient to God. But as soon as he transgresses the limits set by God, through any wrong that he may say or do, or through any kind of disobedience, Satan bites him (Ecclesiastes 10:8), ensnares him in sin.

In the previous articles, while analyzing the reasons for why man is unable to overcome Satan; is also unable to obey God's Law despite having it in his hands; and other related issues, we had begun to look at three things that require considering along with some other points of Scripture, and then the conclusions will help us to reach the answers to the above questions.

 

These three are:

(i) God and His Word are eternally unchanging, unalterable, firmly established and applicable; what He grants always remains irrevocable and in effect. 

(ii) Some characteristics of angels, in comparison to humans;

(iii) The comparative level or status of humans and angels.

 

In the previous article, we saw and understood the first of these, that God and His Word are unchanging and things He grants always remain irrevocable, with some Biblical examples. Today we will look at and understand the second point with some Biblical examples.

(ii) Some characteristics of angels in comparison to humans: God’s Word states that the angels are more powerful than humans; and angels, in general, have been called mighty or powerful. Whereas in comparison, only a few human beings have been powerful; and, generally speaking, all human beings have never been called mighty, unlike the angels. Consider three Bible verses in this context:

·       Psalm 103:20 "Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word."

·       2 Thessalonians 1:7 "and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels"

·        2 Peter 2:11 "Whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord." If we look at this verse in its context, i.e., along with verses 9-10, it becomes apparent that the angels naturally are greater in strength and power than humans.

 

In the next article we will consider the third point and then come to the conclusions of these three points.
