आराधना के हमारे इस अध्ययन में, आराधना के प्रतिफलों पर विचार करते हुए, हमने पिछले लेखों में, परमेश्वर को पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से निकली हुई सच्ची आराधना के भौतिक लाभों के बारे में देखना आरम्भ किया है। हमने देखा है कि ईमानदारी की यह आराधना, परमेश्वर को किसी बात को करने या देने के लिये मजबूर करना नहीं है; परन्तु परमेश्वर अपने सच्चे, समर्पित, और आज्ञाकारी आराधकों की सांसारिक और भौतिक आवश्यकताओं की अनदेखी भी नहीं करता है। उसके लोग अपनी क्षमता और योग्यता के अनुसार जो और जैसा उसे देते हैं, प्रत्युत्तर में परमेश्वर अपनी असीम क्षमता और योग्यता के अनुसार उन्हें लौटा कर देता है। साथ ही हमने परमेश्वर की मूसा द्वारा दी गई व्यवस्था के संदर्भ में यह भी देखा था, कि परमेश्वर ने खराई और ईमानदारी से उसे अर्पित किये जाने वाले उन सभी भेंट और बलिदानों के प्रत्युत्तर में, अपने लोगों को सहायता, सुरक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, और आवश्यकताओं की बहुतायत से पूर्ति का वायदा किया है। आज से और आने वाले कुछ लेखों में, हम इसी बात को इस्राएल के इतिहास के उदाहरणों से देखना आरम्भ करेंगे।
इस्राएल का इतिहास इस बात का गवाह है तथा पर्याप्त प्रमाण प्रदान करता है कि परमेश्वर के लोगों ने जब-जब परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता की है, अपनी संपन्नता में से परमेश्वर और उसके कार्यों के लिए दिया है, तो वे हमेशा ही उन्नति करते तथा और समृद्ध होते चले गए हैं। लेकिन उन्होंने जब भी ऐसा करने से हाथ पीछे खींचा है, तो हमेशा ही हानि उठाई है; और जिसे बचाने या रोक के रखने का प्रयास किया, वह भी उनके पास बचा नहीं रहा (नीतिवचन 11:24-25)।
बुद्धिमान राजा सुलैमान में होकर परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने यह लिखवाया है, “अपनी संपत्ति के द्वारा और अपनी भूमि की पहिली उपज दे देकर यहोवा की प्रतिष्ठा करना; इस प्रकार तेरे खत्ते भरे और पूरे रहेंगे, और तेरे रसकुण्डों से नया दाखमधु उमण्डता रहेगा” (नीतिवचन 3:9-10)।
यहाँ, वाक्यांश “...अपनी संपत्ति के द्वारा और अपनी भूमि की पहिली उपज दे देकर यहोवा की प्रतिष्ठा करना” पर ध्यान दीजिए; मसीही विश्वासियों को परमेश्वर की सन्तान होने के नाते इस बात का ध्यान रखना है, यह मान कर चलना है कि उनके पास जो कुछ भी है वह परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह से उन्हें दिया गया है (व्यवस्थाविवरण 8:18)। हमारी संपत्ति, हमारी भौतिक अथवा शारीरिक संपन्नता, हमारा प्रत्येक गुण, कौशल, और योग्यता, हमारी बौद्धिक क्षमताएं, हमारे आत्मिक वरदान, आदि - अर्थात हमारे पास चाहे कुछ भी हो, वह सब हमें प्रभु परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह से प्राप्त हुआ है। ये सभी बातें हमें प्रभु द्वारा दिए गए “बीज” हैं, जो उसने हमें उसके “खेत”, अर्थात संसार के लोगों के मध्य में बोने के लिए दिये हैं। अब यह हम पर है कि हम इन बीजों को अपने लिए उपयोग कर के इन्हें ख़त्म कर देते हैं, या फिर उन्हें “खेत” में बो कर बहुतायत की फसल प्राप्त करते हैं, जो हमारे तथा दूसरों, दोनों के लिए आशीष होगी - सारपत की विधवा के समान, जिसने एल्लियाह के कहने पर अपने अंतिम भोजन का पहला भाग उसे दिया, और परिणामस्वरूप उसे इतनी आशीष मिली कि वह और उसका पुत्र उन आशीषों के सहारे आराम से रहे, जबकि सारा देश अकाल से त्रस्त था (1 राजाओं 17:9-16)।
चुनाव हमारा है। जब तक कि हम परमेश्वर को अपनी भौतिक संपन्नता और वस्तुओं में से देना नहीं सीखेंगे, उसने जो हमें दिया है, उसके द्वारा उसकी महिमा करना नहीं आरंभ करेंगे, परमेश्वर के “खेत” में जा कर अपने हाथ खोलकर परमेश्वर द्वारा दिये गए “बीज” को डालना आरंभ नहीं करेंगे, और अपनी नहीं, वरन परमेश्वर की महिमा के लिए कार्य करना आरंभ नहीं करेंगे, हम परमेश्वर की बहुतायत की आशीषों (नीतिवचन 10:22) को अनुभव करना भी आरंभ नहीं करेंगे। आने वाले लेखों में हम परमेश्वर के वचन में से आराधना के द्वारा भौतिक आशीषों के सिद्धांत को कार्यान्वित होते हुए दिखाने वाले उदाहरणों को देखेंगे।
ध्यान दीजिये, ये सारी प्रतिज्ञाएँ और प्रतिफल परमेश्वर के लोगों के लिये हैं। इसलिये, यदि आप परमेश्वर की आशीषों, देखभाल, सहायता, प्रावधानों को प्राप्त करना चाहते हैं, तो पहले आपको स्वेच्छा से प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास लाने के द्वारा परमेश्वर की सन्तान बनना होगा।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए – उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Material Blessings of Worship (3)

In this ongoing study on worship, while considering the rewards of worship, we have seen in the preceding articles about the benefits of true worship offered to God from a fully surrendered heart. We have seen that such an honest worship, is not for compelling God to give or do something; but that God does not overlook the material and physical needs of His true, surrendered, and obedient worshipers. His people offer to him according to their capacity and ability, and in return, God gives back to them from His unlimited resources and abilities. We had also seen from the Law of God brought by Moses that God, in return for what is offered with honesty and integrity, had promised safety, help, health, and an abundant fulfilling of their needs. But, as we saw from Malachi, when they did it to fulfill a formality using poor quality offerings, the results were disastrous. From today, and in the coming few articles, we will start considering examples of these things from the history of Israel.
The history of Israel through the ages is ample evidence that God’s people have always prospered when they obeyed God and gave from their possessions to Him and for His work. But when they did not do so, they always suffered; and what they tried to keep back and safe-guard, that too did not remain with them (Proverbs 11:24-25).
Through the wise king Solomon, the Holy Spirit of God had it recorded that: “Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the first-fruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine” (Proverbs 3:9-10).
Take note of those words – “Honor the Lord with your possessions…”; as children of God, we need to realize and acknowledge that all that we have is because the Lord our God has graciously granted it to us (Deuteronomy 8:18). Our possessions, whether they are physical wealth and material riches; or some skills, talents, capabilities and intellectual abilities; or some spiritual gifts – whatever, they are all from the Lord because of His grace upon us. They all are the “seeds” that the Lord has given to us for sowing in His “field” – the people of the world. We can selfishly use up this ‘seed” for ourselves and finish it off, or sow it, and reap a bountiful harvest that will bless us as well as bless others – like the widow of Zarephath, who following Elijah’s request, gave the first part of her last meal to him, and then was so abundantly blessed that she and her son lived off those blessings when the country was reeling under a severe drought (1 Kings 17:9-16).
The choice is ours. Unless we learn to give to God from our material possessions, to glorify Him with what He has given to us, learn to go out into God’s field, to open our hands and sow the God given seed into God’s field, and work for bringing glory to God instead of to ourselves; we will not get to experience the abundance of the Lord’s blessings (Proverbs 10:22). In the coming articles, we will look at examples from God’s Word of this principle of material blessings through worship at work.
Take note that these promises and rewards are for the people of God; so, if you want to be a partaker of God’s blessings, care, help, and provisions, you must first voluntarily become a child of God by coming to faith in the Lord Jesus.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so – the decision is yours.
