पुनःअवलोकन: पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि किस प्रकार से शैतान ने उस समय के धार्मिक अगुवों से पुराने नियम के लेखों में छेड़-छाड़ करवाई, और उन्होंने उसे बदल कर उनकी अपनी सहूलियत और लाभ के लिए बना दिया। प्रभु यीशु ने अपनी पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के समय इस बात को उस समय जन-सामान्य के भी तथा उन धार्मिक अगुवों के सम्मुख भी प्रकट किया था (मत्ती 15:1-1)। इसके बाद हमने देखा था कि जैसे-जैसे सुसमाचार और मसीहियत का प्रचार और प्रसार होता गया, उसी के साथ ही शैतान द्वारा मसीही शिक्षाओं को बिगाड़ने और भ्रष्ट करने का, गलत शिक्षाओं को प्रचलित करने का, लोगों को बहका और भरमा कर विधर्मी मार्गों में डालने का भी प्रचार और प्रसार होता चला गया; और इस धोखे में भी लोगों में तथा उनके धार्मिक अगुवों में यही भ्रम व्याप्त था कि वे सही और भक्ति के मार्ग पर ही हैं। हमने बाइबल के उदाहरणों के द्वारा, इस सामान्यतः न तो देखे-समझे और न ही पहचाने जाने वाले तथ्य को भी देखा था कि परमेश्वर की कलीसिया और मण्डलियों में इन गलत शिक्षाओं और सिद्धांतों की पैठ बैठा लेने और फिर दूसरों में फैलाए जाने में, चाहे अनजाने में या जान-बूझकर, हमेशा से ही धार्मिक अगुवों की एक प्रमुख एवं महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रही है।

यही, कलीसिया के सम्पूर्ण इतिहास में होता चला आया है, और आज भी हो रहा है; बाइबल के लेखों में फेर-बदल और बिगाड़ करने के द्वारा उसे बाइबल के विपरीत अर्थ और अभिप्राय दिए जा रहे हैं। और फिर इन फेर-बदल किए हुए, बिगड़े हुए, भ्रष्ट किए गए लेखों, उनके अनुचित अर्थों और अभिप्रायों के आधार पर कई डिनॉमिनेशंस, मत, और संप्रदाय खड़े हो गए हैं जो परमेश्वर के वचन से बहुत भिन्न बातों का प्रचार करते और शिक्षाएं देते हैं, किन्तु दावा बाइबल के अनुसार बिलकुल सही होने का ही करते हैं। क्योंकि वे लोग यह एक आकर्षक, सांसारिक रीति से लुभावनी, और प्रतीत होने में तर्कपूर्ण तरीकों से, बहुधा उनके साथ भौतिक लाभों के वायदों के साथ करते हैं, इसीलिए बहुत से लोग उनकी ओर मुड़ जाते हैं, उन्हें तुरन्त ही स्वीकार कर लेते हैं। इस गलत शिक्षाओं और अनुचित बातों के इतने सामान्य और खुली रीति से प्रचलित होने के दो मुख्य कारण हैं। आज हम इन दो में से पहले कारण को देखना आरम्भ करेंगे।

पहला कारण, जैसा कि पहले भी कहा जा चुका है, यह बहुत दुःखद तथ्य है कि अधिकांश ईसाई या मसीही कभी परमेश्वर और उसके वचन को अपने जीवनों में उचित समय देते ही नहीं हैं। परमेश्वर के वचन की शिक्षाओं (मत्ती 6:31-34; 1 यूहन्ना 2:15-17; याकूब 4:1-4) के विपरीत, उनके लिए अनन्त परमेश्वर नहीं, बल्कि नश्वर सँसार, साँसारिक ज़िम्मेदारियाँ, और सँसार की नाशमान बातें अर्जित करते रहना ही प्राथमिकताएँ होती हैं। उनके लिए परमेश्वर कोई विशेष महत्व का नहीं बल्कि औपचारिकता निभाने, कर्तव्य पूरा करने के लिए है। और उनके मन-मस्तिष्क में इस बात को गहराई से जमा देने के बाद, शैतान उन्हें सँसार की बातों और जिम्मेदारियों में ही उलझाए रखता है, उन्हें कभी उनकी इस गंभीर गलती और इसके भयानक दुष्परिणामों का एहसास ही नहीं होने देता है, उन्हें उलझा कर परमेश्वर तथा उसके वचन से दूर बनाए रखता है। इस बात का सबसे सामान्य और प्रकट प्रमाण है ऐसे लोगों के द्वारा स्वयं बाइबल अध्ययन करने के लिए समय को न लगाना। कुछ लोग औपचारिकता के लिए बाइबल पढ़ अवश्य लेते हैं, किन्तु अधिकांश ईसाई या मसीही सामान्यतः बाइबल की बातों और शिक्षाओं से अनभिज्ञ ही रहते हैं। और इसलिए, इस कमी को पूरा करने के लिए, परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने के लिए वे औरों के द्वारा दिए गए संदेशों और शिक्षाओं को मान लेने, उन्हें स्वीकार कर लेने वाले बन जाते हैं। लेकिन क्योंकि उन्हें बाइबल में वास्तव में लिखी गई बातें और दी गई शिक्षाएँ पता नहीं होती हैं, इसीलिए जो भी प्रचार किया या सिखाया जाता है, उसे बिना जाँचे-परखे ही स्वीकार कर लेते हैं। प्रचार करने तथा शिक्षा देने वाला जितना अधिक परिचित, लोकप्रिय, या ख्याति प्राप्त व्यक्ति होता है, उतने ही अधिक अंध-विश्वास के साथ उसकी बातें स्वीकार की जाती हैं, उस पर तथा उसकी बातों पर भरोसा रखा जाता है, उनका बिना किसी संदेह के पालन किया जाता है।

एक और बात जो प्रचारक और शिक्षक की लोकप्रियता और उसकी कही बात को स्वीकार करने पालन करने में बहुत बड़ा योगदान करती है, वह है उसकी वाक्पटुता, उसकी प्रभावी शब्दावली, तथा शैली, और जिस तरह से वह बाइबल की बातों, शब्दों, और वाक्यांशों का बड़ी भक्ति, धार्मिकता और प्रभावी रीति से प्रस्तुत तथा उपयोग करता है। लेकिन शायद ही कोई होता होगा जो परमेश्वर के वचन में दिये गये निर्देशों (प्रेरितों 17:11; 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:29; 1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21) के अनुसार, वापस जाकर परमेश्वर के वचन से इस बात की पुष्टि करता है कि क्या प्रचार की और बताई गई बाइबल की वे बातें, वे शब्द, वे वाक्यांश, बाइबल में भी, बाइबल में परमेश्वर के लोगों की दर्ज की गई प्रार्थनाओं, वार्तालापों, और संदेशों आदि में, वास्तव में उसी अर्थ और अभिप्राय से ही उपयोग हुए हैं जैसे कि यह प्रचारक आज उन्हें उपयोग कर रहा है, और करना सिखा रहा है? ध्यान कीजिए, जैसा कि हम पहले के लेखों में देख चुके हैं, लोगों को भरमाने और बहकाने के लिए शैतान की एक बहुत सफल युक्ति है बाइबल के सही लेख का अनुचित रीति से, अर्थात, ऐसे उपयोग करना, जैसा उपयोग उस लेख के लिए बाइबल में दिया नहीं गया है।

इस पहले कारण पर विचार और विश्लेषण को, बाइबल के उदाहरणों के साथ करना, हम अगले लेख में भी ज़ारी रखेंगे।

 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Altering God’s Word - 15

 

Review: In the previous article we had seen how Satan had got the then religious leaders to tamper with and alter the Old Testament Scriptural text, and they converted it into something to their convenience and profit. Lord Jesus during His earthly ministry had pointed this out to the general public as well as to those religious leaders (Matthew 15:1-15). We next saw that, as the gospel and Christianity spread, so did the spread of wrong teachings and doctrines brought in by Satan to corrupt and distort the Christian teachings, to deceive and misguide people into wrong, ungodly ways increase; even in this deception, all the while making the people and the religious leaders think that they were on the right and godly path. We also saw that Biblical examples clearly illustrate the generally unrealized and unacknowledged fact, that the religious leaders, knowingly or unknowingly, have always had a major role to play in letting these satanic teachings and doctrines enter and take hold in God’s Churches and from there spread to others.

This has been happening throughout Church history, and is happening even today; the Biblical text is being altered and distorted, and being given inappropriate unBiblical meanings. Then, based on these altered, distorted, corrupted texts and the inappropriate meanings and implications ascribed to them, many denominations, sects, and cults have risen up, that preach and teach things much different from God’s Word, but claim to be absolutely correct Biblically. Because they do it in an attractive, physically appealing, and in a seemingly logical manner, often along with promises of many temporal gains and benefits, therefore, many people readily accept their false teachings and turn to following them. There are two main reasons why these wrong and inappropriate teachings are so freely and easily accepted। Today we will begin considering the first reason.

The first reason, as has been pointed out earlier, is the very sad fact that most Christians never give God and His Word any quality time in their lives. Contrary to the teachings of God’s Word (Matthew 6:31-34; 1 John 2:15-17; James 4:1-4), instead of eternal God, the perishing world, worldly responsibilities, and gaining the temporal things of the world is priority for them. God is not someone important, but an obligation, a formality to be fulfilled. And having got this firmly entrenched in their minds and hearts, Satan keeps them occupied in the things and responsibilities of the world, never letting them realize their very grave error and its disastrous consequences, and keeps them entangled away from God and His Word. This is most commonly evidenced by their not taking time to study the Bible for themselves; some may perfunctorily read it, but by far the vast majority of Christians generally remain unaware of what actually is written in God’s Word. Therefore, to make up for this lack, they always blindly rely on the messages and teachings given to them by others as a means of learning God’s Word. But since they are unaware of what is actually written and taught in the Bible; therefore, they tend to accept whatever has been preached and taught without cross-checking or verifying it. The more familiar, popular, or renowned the preacher or teacher is, the more confidently and blindly he is trusted, and whatever he says and preaches is accepted, believed, and followed.

A factor that strongly contributes to the popularity and general acceptance of whatever the preacher or teacher says is his impressive vocabulary, eloquence, and style, and the manner in which he presents and uses Biblical words, terms, and phrases in a seemingly very pious, religious, and impressive sounding way. But hardly anyone bothers to go back and as instructed in God’s Word (Acts 17:11; 1 Corinthians 14:29; 1 Thessalonians 5:21), confirm from God’s Word, whether those Biblical terms, words, and phrases that have been preached and stated, have actually been used in the Bible, by God’s people, as recorded in their prayers, conversations and messages, etc., in just the same way, with the same meanings and implications, as this preacher or teacher is using them is ascribing to them today, and is teaching to be done now? Remember, as we have seen in the previous articles, one of Satan’s very effective strategies to misguide people is to use the correct Biblical text, in an inappropriate way, i.e., in ways not seen in the Bible.

 

We will continue our consideration and analysis of this first reason with Biblical examples in the next article.

Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

प्रभु यीशु के विषय प्रेरितों के काम में दी गई शिक्षाएं

पिछले कुछ लेखों से हम इफिसियों 4:14 यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता में दी गई बातों में से, बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों और कलीसियाओं को प्रभावित करने वाले तीसरे दुष्प्रभाव, भ्रामक या गलत उपदेशों के बारे में देखते आ रहे हैं। इन गलत या भ्रामक शिक्षाओं के मुख्य स्वरूपों के बारे में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है कि इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं के, गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन स्वरूप होते हैं, “यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता”, जिन्हें शैतान और उसके लोग चतुराई से प्रभु यीशु के झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्‍वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं। ये शैतानी लोग अपनी चतुराई और ठग-विद्या के द्वारा कई चिन्ह और चमत्कार दिखाकर लोगों को प्रभावित करते हैं, उन्हें अपने ईश्वरीय होने के बारे में झूठा विश्वास दिलाते हैं। हमारे लिए सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए इन तीनों स्वरूपों के साथ इस पद में एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है। इस पद में लिखा है कि शैतान की युक्तियों के तीनों विषयों, प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य है वह वचन में पहले से ही बता दिया गया है; अर्थात जो कुछ भी बाहर से है, वचन में पहले से विद्यमान नहीं है, वह परमेश्वर की ओर से नहीं है, और उसे स्वीकार नहीं करना चाहिए। इसलिए, स्वाभाविक है कि जो भी व्यक्ति वचन में दृढ़ और स्थापित होगा, जो भी वचन में इन तीनों के विषय दी गई बातों से भली-भांति अवगत होगा, वह इनके विषय शैतान की युक्तियों में नहीं फँसेगा, गलती में नहीं पड़ेगा, वरन उन शिक्षाओं के गलत होने को पहचान जाएगा, क्योंकि वे गलत शिक्षाएं वचन में पहले से लिखवाई गई बातों से भिन्न होंगी, उनके अतिरिक्त होंगी।

इन तीनों प्रकार की गलत शिक्षाओं में से इस पद में सबसे पहली है कि शैतान और उस के जन, प्रभु यीशु के विषय ऐसी शिक्षाएं देते हैं जो वचन में नहीं दी गई हैं। इस पद में इस विषय में लिखे गए वाक्य “यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया” पर ध्यान कीजिए। अर्थात, प्रभु यीशु के बारे में पौलुस, अन्य प्रेरितों, और प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा जो प्रचार किया गया है, जो बताया गया है, वही सच्ची शिक्षा है; अन्य सभी मिथ्या हैं। इसलिए यदि हम यह देख और संकलित कर लें कि वचन में इन प्रेरितों और प्रभु के शिष्यों ने प्रभु यीशु के बारे में क्या सिखाया है, तो उसके अतिरिक्त प्रभु यीशु के विषय जो कुछ भी सिखाया जाता है, वह गलत शिक्षा है। पौलुस, अन्य प्रेरितों, और प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा जो प्रचार किया और सिखाया गया है, उसका संकलन प्रेरितों के काम नामक पुस्तक है। आज हम इसी पुस्तक से, प्रभु के इन अनुयायियों द्वारा किए गए प्रचार में से, प्रभु यीशु के विषय कही गई बातों को देखते और सूचीबद्ध करते हैं। यह सूची प्रभु यीशु के विषय गलत शिक्षाओं को पहचानने के लिए हमारी सहायता करेगी। बहुत से लोग यह दावा करते हैं कि वे दोबारा पृथ्वी पार आए प्रभु यीशु हैं; तथा बहुत से लोग प्रभु के बारे में बाइबल से असंगत बातों का प्रचार करते हैं, शिक्षाएं देते हैं। इस सूची के साथ मिलाकर, यीशु होने का दावा करने वाले व्यक्ति में, या लोगों द्वारा यीशु के विषय बताई जा रही बातों को जाँचने के द्वारा पुष्टि की जा सकती है। यह देखा जा सकता है कि सच्चे यीशु के विषय वचन में दिए गए तथ्यों की इस सूची की बातों से उनका जीवन, प्रचार, और शिक्षाएं मेल खाते हैं कि नहीं, उनके अनुसार हैं कि नहीं। जो भी शिक्षा इस सूची में प्रभु यीशु के विषय पाई जाने वाली बातों से मेल नहीं खाती है, उसे तुरंत ही स्वीकार नहीं करना होगा, वरन उसे वचन से भली-भांति जाँच-परख कर, उसकी वास्तविकता और खराई की वचन से पुष्टि करने के बाद ही स्वीकार किया जाए, अन्यथा उसका तिरस्कार कर दिया जाए। 

नए नियम में प्रेरितों के काम पुस्तक में प्रेरितों और शिष्यों द्वारा दी गई प्रभु यीशु के विषय सही शिक्षाएं हैं:

* प्रेरितों 2:22 हे इस्राएलियों, ये बातें सुनो: कि यीशु नासरी एक मनुष्य था जिस का परमेश्वर की ओर से होने का प्रमाण उन सामर्थ्य के कामों और आश्चर्य के कामों और चिह्नों से प्रगट है, जो परमेश्वर ने तुम्हारे बीच उसके द्वारा कर दिखलाए जिसे तुम आप ही जानते हो। प्रभु यीशु न केवल पूर्णतः परमेश्वर था, वरन् पूर्णतः मनुष्य भी था। उसे परमेश्वर ने भेजा था, जिसका प्रमाण और पुष्टि परमेश्वर ने उसके द्वारा उन लोगों के मध्य किए गए सामर्थ्य के कार्य और आश्चर्यकर्म थे। 

* प्रेरितों 2:32 इसी यीशु को परमेश्वर ने जिलाया, जिस के हम सब गवाह हैं। प्रभु यीशु मृतकों में से जी उठा था। यह केवल सुनी-सुनाई बात नहीं थी, वरन् उसके मारे जाने, गाड़े जाने, और पुनरुत्थान होने के गवाह भी थे (प्रेरितों 4:33; 5:30; 13:33)। 

* प्रेरितों 2:36 सो अब इस्राएल का सारा घराना निश्‍चय जान ले कि परमेश्वर ने उसी यीशु को जिसे तुम ने क्रूस पर चढ़ाया, प्रभु भी ठहराया और मसीह भी। सच्चा यीशु क्रूस पर चढ़ाया और मारा गया गया था; और उसे जो आदर एवं महिमा मिली वह परमेश्वर ने दी, किसी मनुष्य, मत, या समुदाय ने नहीं। 

* प्रेरितों 3:6 तब पतरस ने कहा, चान्दी और सोना तो मेरे पास है नहीं; परन्तु जो मेरे पास है, वह तुझे देता हूं: यीशु मसीह नासरी के नाम से चल फिर। सच्चे यीशु के नाम में प्रत्यक्ष और प्रमाणित आश्चर्यकर्म होते हैं (मरकुस 16:17-20; प्रेरितों 4:30; 9:34; 16:18)। 

* प्रेरितों 3:20 और वह उस मसीह यीशु को भेजे जो तुम्हारे लिये पहिले ही से ठहराया गया है। सच्चे यीशु के विषय में पुराने नियम की सभी पुस्तकों में लिखा गया है (लूका 24:27; प्रेरितों 8:35)।  

* प्रेरितों 4:12 और किसी दूसरे के द्वारा उद्धार नहीं; क्योंकि स्वर्ग के नीचे मनुष्यों में और कोई दूसरा नाम नहीं दिया गया, जिस के द्वारा हम उद्धार पा सकें। पृथ्वी पर, मनुष्यों के उद्धार के लिए न तो और कोई अन्य नाम, और न ही कोई अन्य काम दिया गया है; और किसी में उद्धार है ही नहीं (प्रेरितों 9:22; 15:11; 16:31; 17:3; 18:5; 18:28)।

* प्रेरितों 7:55-56 परन्तु उसने पवित्र आत्मा से परिपूर्ण हो कर स्वर्ग की ओर देखा और परमेश्वर की महिमा को और यीशु को परमेश्वर की दाहिनी ओर खड़ा देखकर कहा; देखो, मैं स्वर्ग को खुला हुआ, और मनुष्य के पुत्र को परमेश्वर के दाहिनी ओर खड़ा हुआ देखता हूं। सच्चे यीशु के पुनरुत्थान और स्वर्गारोहण के बाद से वे स्वर्ग में परमेश्वर के साथ हैं (1 यूहन्ना 2:1)। 

* प्रेरितों 9:5 उसने पूछा; हे प्रभु, तू कौन है? उसने कहा; मैं यीशु हूं; जिसे तू सताता है। सच्चा यीशु अपने अनुयायियों के साथ बना रहता है; उनके दुख और सताव को अपना व्यक्तिगत दुख और सताव मानता है (प्रेरितों 22:8; 26:15)। 

* प्रेरितों 10:36 जो वचन उसने इस्राएलियों के पास भेजा, जब कि उसने यीशु मसीह के द्वारा (जो सब का प्रभु है) शान्‍ति का सुसमाचार सुनाया। सच्चे यीशु का सुसमाचार शांति का सुसमाचार है, वह मतभेद, अलगाव, और अशान्ति नहीं, वरन् परमेश्वर के एक ही परिवार के सदस्यों के समान प्रेम और मेल-मिलाप के साथ मिलकर रहना सिखाता है; यीशु ही के प्रभु होने को बताता है। 

* प्रेरितों 17:30-31 इसलिये परमेश्वर अज्ञानता के समयों में आनाकानी कर के, अब हर जगह सब मनुष्यों को मन फिराने की आज्ञा देता है। क्योंकि उसने एक दिन ठहराया है, जिस में वह उस मनुष्य के द्वारा धर्म से जगत का न्याय करेगा, जिसे उसने ठहराया है और उसे मरे हुओं में से जिलाकर, यह बात सब पर प्रमाणित कर दी है। सच्चा यीशु ही जगत के अंत में, अपने सुसमाचार के अनुसार सभी मनुष्यों का उनकी सभी बातों के विषय न्याय करेगा। 

यह सूची अंतिम या पूर्ण नहीं है। हम अपने अगले लेखों में वचन के अन्य स्थानों पर प्रभु यीशु के विषय पाई जाने वाली बातों को भी देखेंगे, तथा उन गलत शिक्षाओं को भी देखेंगे जिन्हें उस प्रथम, आरंभिक कलीसिया के समय से ही शैतान ने मसीहियों और अन्य लोगों में फैलाना आरंभ कर दिया था, जिससे लोग प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास न लाएं।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं तो प्रभु यीशु के विषय जिन शिक्षाओं को आप जानते और मानते हैं, या जिन्हें औरों को बताते हैं, उन्हें उपरोक्त सूची के समक्ष जाँच-परख लीजिए, और जो सही हों केवल उन्हें थामे रहिए (1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्य सभी बातों या शिक्षाओं के आधार और सामग्री की, प्रभु यीशु के विषय वचन की अन्य बातों के साथ बारीकी से जाँच-पड़ताल करने के बाद ही निर्णय लें के वे स्वीकार्य हैं अथवा अस्वीकार्य। वचन से असंगत किसी भी बात या शिक्षा से बचकर रहें। प्रचार करने वाले व्यक्ति की वाक्पटुता, उसके ज्ञान, बोलने के आकर्षक ढंग, शिक्षा की रोचक बातों, और मनुष्यों में उसके आदर और प्रशंसा के स्तर पर मत जाइए। केवल परमेश्वर के वचन की सत्यता के आधार पर ही सभी बातों और शिक्षाओं का आँकलन कीजिए, उनको स्वीकार करण और पालन करने के बारे में निर्णय कीजिए; अन्य किसी भी बात के आधार पर नहीं।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Teachings about the Lord Jesus in Acts

For the past few articles, we have been considering from Ephesians 4:14 about the deceptive teachings and trickeries that childlike and immature Christian Believers are prone to believe and accept. Through the Apostle Paul God the Holy Spirit has had it written that, For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! (2 Corinthians 11:4); i.e., there are mainly three themes or topics on which Satan and his followers usually present their false teachings to beguile and mislead the people. They disguise themselves as false apostles, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light to preach and teach these deceptive doctrines. They also use various tricks and wondrous works to impress and influence people, and cunningly make them think that these satanic agents are actually divine. In this verse we have also been given another very important fact, that helps us to identify the deceptions of Satan and escape falling for them. This verse also tells us how to identify the truth and be safe from the satanic deceptions; i.e., the things that are true, factual, and to be accepted about the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel. We see from this verse that the truth and facts have already been given in God’s Word; thereby implying that anything outside of, anything not already given in God’s Word, is not from God, but is from Satan, and is not to be accepted. Therefore, anyone who is established in God’s Word and is well versed with Biblical teachings about the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel, will immediately be able to identify the false doctrines and wrong teachings, the unBiblical things, deceptively being brought in by Satan, and will not fall for them.

Of these three themes, the first one given in this verse is teachings about the Lord Jesus that have not been given in the Bible. Pay attention to the sentence in this verse about this, “For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached.” The implication is evident, what Paul, the other Apostles, and the disciples of Christ have already preached about the Lord Jesus and has been recorded in God's Word, anything other than that is wrong and deceptive teaching, and is not to be accepted. What Paul and the other Apostles and the disciples of Christ have preached about the Lord Jesus to the early Church is mainly given in the Book of Acts. Today, we will see and list what has been said and preached about the Lord Jesus from the Book of Acts. This list will help us identify the wrong preaching and teachings that are spread about the Lord Jesus. Many people claim themselves to be the Lord Jesus Christ come back to earth; and many people preach and teach unBiblical things about the Lord. This list will help us to discern the truth and identify the deception; anything that is not consistent with this list, will have to be evaluated and considered very carefully, verified from the Word of God, and accepted only if it is in accordance with Biblical teachings, else it has to be rejected.

The true teachings given in the New Testament Book of Acts, about the Lord Jesus are:

* Acts 2:22 Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know. The Lord Jesus was fully God and fully man. He had been sent by God, which was proven by the miracles, wonders, and signs which He did amongst the people.

* Acts 2:32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. The Lord Jesus was also raised from the dead; this is not conjecture or a folklore, but there were witnesses of His death, burial, and resurrection (Acts 4:33; 5:30; 13:33).

* Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. The true Jesus was crucified and died on the cross; the honour and glory that He received, were given to Him by God, not by any man or sect, group, or denomination.

* Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." In the name of Lord Jesus, His disciples could, and still can work miracles actual and verifiable miracles (Mark 16:17-20; Acts 4:30; 9:34; 16:18).

* Acts 3:20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before The Books of the Old Testament testify about the Lord Jesus, in them is written about Him (Luke 24:27; Acts 8:35).

* Acts 4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. On earth, amongst men, no other name has been given to be saved; salvation is not through anyone or anything else (Acts 9:22; 15:11; 16:31; 17:3; 18:5; 18:28).

* Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. Being with the true Jesus Christ changes the lives of people, the fearful become fearless, even the simple uneducated and untrained people become knowledgeable and very effective preachers.

* Acts 7:55-56 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, "Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!" The true Lord Jesus, since His resurrection and ascension, is with God the Father in heaven, till now (1 John 2:1).

* Acts 9:5 And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" Then the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads." The real Lord Jesus remains with His followers, and considers their pains and sorrows as His personal pain and sorrow (Acts 22:8; 26:15).

* Acts 10:36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ--He is Lord of all. The true Jesus is the Lord of all, entire mankind, not of any particular group of people; and this Jesus teaches everyone to live together as members of one family of God, in unity and love, without any differences, dissensions, and tensions of any kind.

* Acts 17:30-31 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead. The true Lord Jesus, at the end of the world, will judge everyone, by His Word, for everything.

This list about the Lord Jesus is neither exhaustive nor complete. In our next article we will see some more things about the Lord Jesus written at some other places in God’s Word, and will also look at some false teachings that Satan and his followers started to spread about the Lord Jesus amongst the initial Christian Believers, so that people may not come to faith in the Lord Jesus.

If you are a Christian Believer, then, with the help of the list given above, check and verify the teachings about the Lord Jesus that you have learnt, obey, and share with others, and hold on to only those which are true (1 Thessalonians 5:21). For everything else, every other message or teachings, very minutely and carefully examine and ascertain with the help of God’s Word, and only then accept those found true and consistent with God's Word. Stay away and be wary of anything that is not consistent with God’s Word. Do not ever be carried away by the knowledge, impressive mannerisms, eloquence, being able to say attractive and interesting things, and the respect or status amongst people of the preacher or speaker. Evaluate whatever is preached and taught, and decide about accepting and following it only on the basis of the facts and truth of God’s Word, nothing else.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

प्रभु यीशु के विषय प्रेरितों के काम में दी गई शिक्षाएं

पिछले कुछ लेखों से हम इफिसियों 4:14 में दी गई बातों में से, बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों और कलीसियाओं को प्रभावित करने वाले तीसरे दुष्प्रभाव, भ्रामक या गलत उपदेशों के बारे में देखते आ रहे हैं। इन गलत या भ्रामक शिक्षाओं के मुख्य स्वरूपों के बारे में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है कि इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं के, गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन स्वरूप होते हैं, “यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता”, जिन्हें शैतान और उसके लोग चतुराई से प्रभु यीशु के झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्‍वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं। ये शैतानी लोग अपनी चतुराई और ठग-विद्या के द्वारा कई चिन्ह और चमत्कार दिखाकर लोगों को प्रभावित करते हैं, उन्हें अपने ईश्वरीय होने के बारे में झूठा विश्वास दिलाते हैं। हमारे लिए सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए इन तीनों स्वरूपों के साथ इस पद में एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है। इस पद में लिखा है कि शैतान की युक्तियों के तीनों विषयों, प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य है वह वचन में पहले से ही बता दिया गया है। इसलिए, स्वाभाविक है कि जो भी व्यक्ति वचन में दृढ़ और स्थापित होगा, जो भी वचन में इन तीनों के विषय दी गई बातों से भली-भांति अवगत होगा, वह इनके विषय शैतान की युक्तियों में नहीं फँसेगा, गलती में नहीं पड़ेगा, वरन उन शिक्षाओं के गलत होने को पहचान जाएगा, क्योंकि वे गलत शिक्षाएं वचन में पहले से लिखवाई गई बातों से भिन्न होंगी, उनके अतिरिक्त होंगी।

 

इन तीनों प्रकार की गलत शिक्षाओं में से इस पद में सबसे पहली है कि शैतान और उस के जन, प्रभु यीशु के विषय ऐसी शिक्षाएं देते हैं जो वचन में नहीं दी गई हैं। इस पद में इस विषय में लिखे गए वाक्य “यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया” पर ध्यान कीजिए। अर्थात, प्रभु यीशु के बारे में पौलुस, अन्य प्रेरितों, और प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा जो प्रचार किया गया है, जो बताया गया है, वही सच्ची शिक्षा है; अन्य सभी मिथ्या हैं। इसलिए यदि हम यह देख और संकलित कर लें कि वचन में इन प्रेरितों और प्रभु के शिष्यों ने क्या सिखाया है, तो उसके अतिरिक्त प्रभु यीशु के विषय जो कुछ भी सिखाया है, वह गलत शिक्षा है। पौलुस, अन्य प्रेरितों, और प्रभु के शिष्यों द्वारा जो प्रचार किया गया है, उसका संकलन प्रेरितों के काम नामक पुस्तक है। आज हम इसी पुस्तक से, प्रभु के इन अनुयायियों द्वारा किए गए प्रचार में से, प्रभु यीशु के विषय कही गई बातों को देखते और सूचीबद्ध करते हैं। यह सूची प्रभु यीशु के विषय गलत शिक्षाओं को पहचानने के लिए हमारी सहायता करेगी। हमें अपनी इस सूची के साथ मिलाकर, यीशु होने का दावा करने वाले व्यक्ति में, या लोगों द्वारा यीशु के विषय बताई जा रही बातों को जाँच कर देखना होगा कि वे सच्चे यीशु के विषय वचन में दी गई इस सूची की बातों से मेल खाती हैं कि नहीं, उनके अनुसार हैं कि नहीं। जो भी शिक्षा इस सूची में प्रभु यीशु के विषय पाई जाने वाली बातों से मेल नहीं खाती है, उसे तुरंत ही स्वीकार नहीं करना होगा, वरन उसे वचन से भली-भांति जाँच-परख कर, उसकी वास्तविकता और खराई की वचन से पुष्टि करने के बाद ही स्वीकार किया जाए, अन्यथा उसका तिरस्कार कर दिया जाए। 

नए नियम में प्रेरितों के काम पुस्तक में प्रेरितों और शिष्यों द्वारा दी गई प्रभु यीशु के विषय सही शिक्षाएं हैं :

• प्रेरितों 2:22 हे इस्राएलियों, ये बातें सुनो: कि यीशु नासरी एक मनुष्य था जिस का परमेश्वर की ओर से होने का प्रमाण उन सामर्थ्य के कामों और आश्चर्य के कामों और चिह्नों से प्रगट है, जो परमेश्वर ने तुम्हारे बीच उसके द्वारा कर दिखलाए जिसे तुम आप ही जानते हो। प्रभु यीशु न केवल पूर्णतः परमेश्वर था, वरन पूर्णतः मनुष्य भी था। उसे परमेश्वर ने भेजा था, जिसका प्रमाण और पुष्टि परमेश्वर ने उसके द्वारा उन लोगों के मध्य सामर्थ्य के कार्यों और आश्चर्यकर्मों के द्वारा की थी। 

• प्रेरितों 2:32 इसी यीशु को परमेश्वर ने जिलाया, जिस के हम सब गवाह हैं। प्रभु यीशु मृतकों में से जी उठा था। यह केवल सुनी-सुनाई बात नहीं थी, वरन उसके मारे जाने, गाड़े जाने, और पुनरुत्थान होने के गवाह भी थे (प्रेरितों 4:33; 5:30; 13:33)। 

• प्रेरितों 2:36 सो अब इस्राएल का सारा घराना निश्‍चय जान ले कि परमेश्वर ने उसी यीशु को जिसे तुम ने क्रूस पर चढ़ाया, प्रभु भी ठहराया और मसीह भी। सच्चा यीशु क्रूस पर चढ़ाया गया था; और उसे जो आदर एवं महिमा मिली वह परमेश्वर ने दी, किसी मनुष्य, मत, या समुदाय ने नहीं। 

• प्रेरितों 3:6 तब पतरस ने कहा, चान्दी और सोना तो मेरे पास है नहीं; परन्तु जो मेरे पास है, वह तुझे देता हूं: यीशु मसीह नासरी के नाम से चल फिर। सच्चे यीशु के नाम में आश्चर्यकर्म होते हैं (मरकुस 16:17-20; प्रेरितों 4:30; 9:34; 16:18)। 

• प्रेरितों 3:20 और वह उस मसीह यीशु को भेजे जो तुम्हारे लिये पहिले ही से ठहराया गया है। सच्चे यीशु के विषय में पुराने नियम की सभी पुस्तकों में लिखा गया है (लूका 24:27; प्रेरितों 8:35)।  

• प्रेरितों 4:12 और किसी दूसरे के द्वारा उद्धार नहीं; क्योंकि स्वर्ग के नीचे मनुष्यों में और कोई दूसरा नाम नहीं दिया गया, जिस के द्वारा हम उद्धार पा सकें। पृथ्वी पर, मनुष्यों के उद्धार के लिए और कोई अन्य नाम दिया ही नहीं गया है; और किसी में उद्धार है ही नहीं (प्रेरितों 9:22; 15:11; 16:31; 17:3; 18:5; 18:28)।

• प्रेरितों 9:5 उसने पूछा; हे प्रभु, तू कौन है? उसने कहा; मैं यीशु हूं; जिसे तू सताता है। सच्चा यीशु अपने अनुयायियों के साथ बना रहता है; उनके दुख और सताव को अपना व्यक्तिगत दुख और सताव मानता है (प्रेरितों 22:8; 26:15)। 

• प्रेरितों 10:36 जो वचन उसने इस्राएलियों के पास भेजा, जब कि उसने यीशु मसीह के द्वारा (जो सब का प्रभु है) शान्‍ति का सुसमाचार सुनाया। सच्चे यीशु का सुसमाचार शांति का सुसमाचार है, वह मतभेद, अलगाव, और अशान्ति नहीं, वर्ण परमेश्वर के एक ही परिवार के सदस्यों के समान प्रेम और मेल-मिलाप के साथ मिलकर रहना सिखाता है; यीशु ही के प्रभु होने को बताता है। 

• प्रेरितों 17:30-31 इसलिये परमेश्वर अज्ञानता के समयों में आनाकानी कर के, अब हर जगह सब मनुष्यों को मन फिराने की आज्ञा देता है। क्योंकि उसने एक दिन ठहराया है, जिस में वह उस मनुष्य के द्वारा धर्म से जगत का न्याय करेगा, जिसे उसने ठहराया है और उसे मरे हुओं में से जिलाकर, यह बात सब पर प्रमाणित कर दी है। सच्चा यीशु ही जगत के अंत में, अपने सुसमाचार के अनुसार सभी मनुष्यों का उनकी सभी बातों के विषय न्याय करेगा। 

यह सूची अंतिम या पूर्ण नहीं है। हम अपने अगले लेखों में वचन के अन्य स्थानों पर प्रभु यीशु के विषय पाई जाने वाली बातों को भी देखेंगे, तथा उन गलत शिक्षाओं को भी देखेंगे जिन्हें उस प्रथम, आरंभिक कलीसिया के समय से ही शैतान ने मसीहियों और अन्य लोगों में फैलाना आरंभ कर दिया था, जिससे लोग प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास न लाएं।

 

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं तो प्रभु यीशु के विषय जिन शिक्षाओं को आप जानते और मानते हैं, या जिन्हें औरों को बताते हैं, उन्हें उपरोक्त सूची के समक्ष जाँच-परख लीजिए, और जो सही हों केवल उन्हें थामे रहिए (1 थिस्सलुनीकियों 5:21)। अन्य सभी बातों या शिक्षाओं के आधार और सामग्री की, प्रभु यीशु के विषय वचन की अन्य बातों के साथ बारीकी से जाँच-पड़ताल करने के बाद ही निर्णय लें के वे स्वीकार्य हैं अथवा अस्वीकार्य। वचन से असंगत किसी भी बात या शिक्षा से बचकर रहें। प्रचार करने वाले व्यक्ति की वाक्पटुता, उसके ज्ञान, बोलने के आकर्षक ढंग, शिक्षा की रोचक बातों, और मनुष्यों में उसके आदर और प्रशंसा के स्तर पर मत जाइए। केवल परमेश्वर के वचन की सत्यता के आधार पर ही उसकी बातों और शिक्षाओं के विषय निर्णय कीजिए।

 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

English Translation

Teachings about the Lord Jesus in Acts

In the previous articles we have been considering from Ephesians 4:14 about the deceptive teachings and trickeries that immature Christian Believers are prone to. Through the Apostle Paul God the Holy Spirit has had it written that, “For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it!” (2 Corinthians 11:4); i.e., there are mainly three themes or topics on which Satan and his followers usually present their false teachings to beguile and mislead the people. They disguise themselves as false apostles, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light to preach and teach these deceptive doctrines, using various tricks to impress and influence people, and cunningly making them think that these satanic agents are actually divine. In this verse we have also been given another very important fact, that helps us to identify the deceptions of Satan and escape falling for them. This verse tells us that all things that are true, factual, and to be accepted about the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel, have already been given in God’s Word; thereby implying that anything outside of God’s Word is from Satan, and is not to be accepted. Therefore, anyone who is established in God’s Word and is well versed with Biblical teachings about the Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel, will immediately be able to identify the false doctrines and wrong teachings, the unBiblical things, deceptively being brought in by Satan, and will not fall for them.

Of these three themes, the first one given in this verse is teachings about the Lord Jesus that have not been given in the Bible. Pay attention to the sentence in this verse about this, “For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached.” The implication is evident, anything other than what Paul and the other Apostles and the disciples of Christ have preached about the Lord Jesus, is wrong and deceptive teaching, is not to be accepted. What Paul and the other Apostles and the disciples of Christ have preached about the Lord Jesus to the early Church is mainly given in the Book of Acts. today, we will see and list what has been said and preached about the Lord Jesus from this Book of Acts. This list will help us identify the wrong preaching and teachings that are spread about the Lord Jesus. Many people claim themselves to be the Lord Jesus Christ come back to earth; and many people preach and teach unBiblical things about the Lord. This list will help us to discern the truth and identify the deception; anything that is not consistent with this list, will have to be evaluated and considered very carefully, verified from the Word of God, and accepted only if it is in accordance with Biblical teachings, else it has to be rejected.

The true teachings given in the New Testament Book of Acts, about the Lord Jesus are:

• Acts 2:22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know.” The Lord Jesus was fully God and fully man. He had been sent by God, which was proven by the miracles, wonders, and signs which He did amongst the people.

• Acts 2:32 “This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.” The Lord Jesus was also raised from the dead; this is not conjecture or a folklore, but there were witnesses of His death, burial, and resurrection (Acts 4:33; 5:30; 13:33).

• Acts 2:36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” The true Jesus was crucified and died on the cross; the honour and glory that He received, were given to Him by God, not by any man or sect, group, or denomination.

• Acts 3:6 “Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."” In the name of Lord Jesus, His disciples could, and still can work miracles (Mark 16:17-20; Acts 4:30; 9:34; 16:18).

• Acts 3:20 “and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before” The Books of the Old Testament testify about the Lord Jesus, in them is written about Him.

• Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” On earth, amongst men, no other name has been given to be saved; salvation is not through anyone else (Acts 9:22; 15:11; 16:31; 17:3; 18:5; 18:28).

• Acts 4:13 “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.” Being with the true Jesus Christ changes the lives of people, the fearful become fearless, even the simple uneducated and untrained people become knowledgeable and very effective preachers.

• Acts 7:55-56 “But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, and said, "Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"” The true Lord Jesus, since His resurrection and ascension, is with God the Father in heaven, till now (1 John 2:1).

• Acts 9:5 “And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" Then the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads."” The real Lord Jesus remains with His followers, and considers their pains and sorrows as His personal pain and sorrow (Acts 22:8; 26:15).

• Acts 10:36 “The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ--He is Lord of all” The true Jesus is the Lord of all, entire mankind, not of any particular group of people; and this Jesus teaches everyone to live together as members of one family of God, in unity and love, without any differences, dissensions, and tensions of any kind.

• Acts 17:30-31 “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” The true Lord Jesus, at the end of the world, will judge everyone, by His Word, for everything.

This list about the Lord Jesus is neither exhaustive nor complete. In our next article we will see some more things about the Lord Jesus written at some other places in God’s Word, and will also look at some false teachings that Satan and his followers started to spread about the Lord Jesus amongst the initial Christian Believers, so that people may not come to faith in the Lord Jesus.

If you are a Christian Believer, then check and verify the teachings about the Lord Jesus that you have learnt, obey, and share with others, with the help of the list given above, and hold on to only those which are true (1 Thessalonians 5:21). For everything else, every other message or teachings, very minutely and carefully examine and ascertain with the help of God’s Word, and only then accept them. Stay away and be wary of anything that is not consistent with God’s Word. Do not ever be carried away by the knowledge, impressive mannerisms, eloquence, being able to say attractive and interesting things, and the respect or status amongst people of the preacher or speaker. Evaluate him and decide about him only on the basis of the facts and truth of God’s Word, nothing else.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
