सुसमाचार के विषय गलत शिक्षाएँ - परिचय (1)

आज से हम 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में गलत शिक्षाओं के तीसरे विषय सुसमाचार से संबंधित गलत शिक्षाओं पर विचार आरंभ करेंगे। हम पहले इस विषय का परिचय लेंगे, फिर देखेंगे कि सुसमाचार क्या है; क्योंकि जब तक किसी भी बात के “असली” या “वास्तविकता” की जानकारी और पहचान नहीं होगी, तब तक उसके “नकली” या “अवास्तविक” को जानना और पहचानना कठिन होगा। और फिर देखेंगे कि कैसे शैतान उसे बिगाड़ता है, भ्रष्ट करता है, अप्रभावी करता है, और फिर वचन से सही और गलत सुसमाचार को पहचानने और उनमें भिन्नता करने की बातों को देखेंगे। 

सुसमाचार का परिचय

जैसा कि शब्द “सुसमाचार” से ही प्रकट है, इसका शब्दार्थ है भला समाचार या अच्छी खबर, जो मूल यूनानी भाषा में प्रयोग किए गए शब्द के अनुरूप ही है; अर्थात यह एक भला या अच्छा समाचार है, जानकारी है। तात्पर्य यह कि सुसमाचार लोगों के पास किसी बात के बारे में अच्छा समाचार पहुंचाता है। उन तक पहुंचाए गए उस समाचार या जानकारी को स्वीकार अथवा अस्वीकार करना, प्रत्येक सुनने वाले का अपना निर्णय है। इससे प्रश्न उठता है कि यह जानकारी या समाचार किस बात के विषय है और इसे भला क्यों कहते हैं? परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में शब्द “सुसमाचार” का किया गया प्रथम प्रयोग इसके विषय हमें बताता है: और यीशु सारे गलील में फिरता हुआ उन की सभाओं में उपदेश करता और राज्य का सुसमाचार प्रचार करता, और लोगों की हर प्रकार की बीमारी और दुर्बलता को दूर करता रहा (मत्ती 4:23)। यह बात प्रभु यीशु द्वारा उनकी पृथ्वी की सेवकाई आरंभ करने के समय कही गई है, अर्थात प्रभु यीशु ने अपनी पृथ्वी की सेवकाई का आरंभ उपदेश करने, राज्य के सुसमाचार का लोगों की सभाओं में प्रचार करने, तथा लोगों को बीमारियों और दुर्बलताओं से चंगा करने के साथ किया। 

यहाँ पर प्रभु की इस बात में ध्यान देने योग्य दो महत्वपूर्ण बातें हैं - 

(1) पहली बात, इस पद के अनुसार प्रभु यीशु ने तीन कार्य किए - उपदेश दिया, सुसमाचार का प्रचार किया, और लोगों को उनकी बीमारियों और दुर्बलताओं से चंगा किया। अर्थात, सुसमाचार में, और उपदेश देने में तथा लोगों को बीमारियों से चंगा करने में अन्तर है; तीनों एक ही नहीं हैं; प्रभु यीशु ने अपनी सेवकाई के आरंभ से ही इन तीनों अलग-अलग कार्यों को किया। आज यह गलत धारणा लोगों में फैली हुई है कि इन तीनों में से किसी एक का किया जाना, शेष दोनों को भी किए जाने के बराबर है; जो सही नहीं है। हम पहले भी देख चुके हैं कि इफिसियों 4:11 के अनुसार कलीसिया के कार्यों के लिए उपदेश देना प्रभु द्वारा स्थापित की गई एक पृथक सेवकाई है, और सुसमाचार प्रचार करना एक भिन्न सेवकाई है। साथ ही, 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:9 के अनुसार चंगा करना परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा का एक वरदान है, जो अन्य वरदानों के समान पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा, उसकी इच्छा के अनुसार, किसी किसी को दिया जाता है, सभी को एक ही वरदान नहीं दिए जाते हैं। क्योंकि ये तीनों, उपदेश देना, सुसमाचार प्रचार करना, और चंगा करना अलग-अलग सेवाकाइयाँ हैं, इसलिए किसी एक पर अत्यधिक ज़ोर देना, और शेष की अनदेखी करना उचित नहीं है।

प्रभु यीशु ने जब अपने शिष्यों को उनकी पहली प्रचार सेवकाई के लिए भेजा था, तब भी उन से इन तीनों कार्यों को करने के लिए कहा था: फिर उसने अपने बारह चेलों को पास बुलाकर, उन्हें अशुद्ध आत्माओं पर अधिकार दिया, कि उन्हें निकालें और सब प्रकार की बीमारियों और सब प्रकार की दुर्बलताओं को दूर करें। और चलते चलते प्रचार कर कहो कि स्वर्ग का राज्य निकट आ गया है। बीमारों को चंगा करो: मरे हुओं को जिलाओ: कोढिय़ों को शुद्ध करो: दुष्टात्माओं को निकालो: तुम ने सेंतमेंत पाया है, सेंतमेंत दो (मत्ती 10:1,7-8)। और अपनी अंतिम महान आज्ञा में भी इन तीनों कार्यों को करने के लिए ही कहा, इसलिये तुम जा कर सब जातियों के लोगों को चेला बनाओ और उन्हें पिता और पुत्र और पवित्रआत्मा के नाम से बपतिस्मा दो। और उन्हें सब बातें जो मैं ने तुम्हें आज्ञा दी है, मानना सिखाओ: और देखो, मैं जगत के अन्‍त तक सदैव तुम्हारे संग हूं। (मत्ती 28:19-20); और उसने उन से कहा, तुम सारे जगत में जा कर सारी सृष्‍टि के लोगों को सुसमाचार प्रचार करो। जो विश्वास करे और बपतिस्मा ले उसी का उद्धार होगा, परन्तु जो विश्वास न करेगा वह दोषी ठहराया जाएगा। और विश्वास करने वालों में ये चिन्ह होंगे कि वे मेरे नाम से दुष्टात्माओं को निकालेंगे। नई नई भाषा बोलेंगे, सांपों को उठा लेंगे, और यदि वे नाशक वस्तु भी पी जाएं तौभी उन की कुछ हानि न होगी, वे बीमारों पर हाथ रखेंगे, और वे चंगे हो जाएंगे (मरकुस 16:15-18)। और फिर प्रेरितों के कार्य में भी, जो पहली कलीसिया के आरंभ और कार्यों का इतिहास है, हम प्रभु के शिष्यों और प्रेरितों को यही तीनों कार्य करते हुए देखते हैं।

आज की परेशानी यह है कि कुछ लोग केवल चंगाइयों पर ही इतना ज़ोर देते हैं कि वही उनके प्रचार और सेवकाई का मुख्य विषय रहता है। इसके अतिरिक्त वे लोगों द्वारा पापों से क्षमा और उद्धार पाने की अनिवार्यता, तथा परमेश्वर के वचन की समझ और जीवनों में उसके व्यवहारिक प्रयोग के बारे में या तो सिखाते ही नहीं है, या फिर उस पर बहुत कम बल देते हैं। ये लोग इस बात की अनदेखी कर देते हैं कि शारीरिक चंगाई से कहीं अधिक महत्वपूर्ण आत्मिक चंगाई है, क्योंकि हर चंगाई पाने के बाद भी शरीर ने अन्ततः मर ही जाना है, नाश होना ही है; किन्तु यदि आत्मा को पाप और उसके दुष्प्रभावों से चंगाई नहीं मिली, तो आत्मा नरक में जाएगी, और सारी शारीरिक चंगाई किसी काम की नहीं रहेगी। इसलिए प्राथमिकता पाप और उसके दुष्प्रभावों से आत्मिक चंगाई की या उद्धार पाने की है, शारीरिक चंगाई उसके बाद है, और इस क्रम को बनाए रखना है। इन तीनों सेवकाइयों में वचन की शिक्षा या उपदेश, सुसमाचार प्रचार, और चंगाई में परस्पर सही संतुलन, सही दृष्टिकोण, और उचित प्राथमिकता को बनाए रखना है।

हम इस विषय पर अगले लेख में चर्चा ज़ारी रखेंगे, और ऊपर कही गई दूसरी बात के बारे में देखेंगे।

यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप प्रभु परमेश्वर से संबंधित किसी भी बात के बारे में गलत शिक्षाओं में न पड़े हों या पड़ जाएं; न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाले ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर भी ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें। यदि आप इन गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ चुके हैं, तो अभी वचन के अध्ययन और बात को जाँच-परख कर, सही शिक्षा को, उसी के पालन को अपना लें।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Wrong Teachings Related to the Gospel - Introduction (1)

Today we will start looking into the third topic of wrong teachings by Satan, given in 2 Corinthians 11:4 - the wrong teachings related to the Gospel. First, we will consider an introduction to the Gospel; then we will see and understand what the Gospel is. Because, unless we have the “correct” and “factual” knowledge about something, we will not be able to recognize the “wrong” and “duplicate” or false things being spread about it. After that we will see how Satan spoils, corrupts, and renders the Gospel ineffective, and finally we will see from God’s Word how to discern between the correct and wrong gospels, how to differentiate between them.

Introduction to the Gospel

The literal meaning of the word ‘gospel’ is “a good news’ or, a good information, as is the meaning of the word used in the original Greek language. The implication is that the Gospel takes the good news to the people; now it is the decision of the hearer of the ‘good news’ to accept or to reject it. This raises the question, what is this news or information about; and why is it called ‘good’? The first use of the word Gospel tells us about this: And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people (Matthew 4:23). This has been stated for the beginning of the earthly ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. So, the Lord Jesus began His earthly ministry by doing three things – teaching, preaching the gospel of the kingdom in the gatherings of the people, and healing the sicknesses and diseases of the people. 

Here, there are two important things to note about what the Lord did:

(1) The first thing, as this verse shows us, the Lord did three things - He taught about the kingdom of God, He preached the Gospel, and He healed the people of their sicknesses and diseases. This shows that there is a difference between teaching God’s Word, in preaching the gospel, and in healing people of their diseases; they are not all one and the same; and the Lord Jesus since the beginning did these three things, as components of His ministry. Today, there is this wrong concept amongst people that doing either of the three is the same as doing the other two as well, which is incorrect. We have seen this earlier as well, that according to Ephesians 4:11, teaching as a responsibility in the Church is a different ministry, and preaching the Gospel is a different ministry. Also, according to 1 Corinthians 12:9, healing people is a gift of the Holy Spirit, which, like the other gifts of the Spirit, is given to individuals at the discretion of the Holy Spirit, not everyone is given the same gift. Since these three, teaching, preaching the Gospel, and healing are different ministries, therefore to give more importance to any one of them and overlook the others is not right.

When the Lord Jesus sent out His twelve disciples on their first ministry assignment, then too He asked them to do all of these three things: And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give (Matthew 10:1, 7-8). And, even in His final instructions, His Great Commission to the disciples before His ascension, He instructed to do the same three things, Go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen” (Matthew 28:19-20); And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." (Mark 16:15-18). Then, in the Book of Acts, which is the history of the beginning and works of the first Church, we see the disciples of the Lord doing these three things.

Today, the problem is that people place so much emphasis on “healings” that it becomes the only topic of their teaching, preaching, and ministry. Other than this one thing, they either do not teach the people about the necessity of forgiveness of sins and salvation, about the understanding of the Word of God and its application in practical day-to-day Christian living; or place very little emphasis upon doing this. These people ignore the important fact that spiritual healing is much more important than physical healing; because after any physically healing, eventually, the physical body will die some day and be destroyed; and if the soul has not been healed of sin and its deleterious effects, then it will go into hell for eternity, and that physical healing would be of no benefit for that person. Therefore, the primary importance is of spiritual healing from sin, physical healing is of secondary importance; and this order has to be maintained. Amongst these three ministries of teaching God’s Word, preaching the Gospel, and healing people, a proper mutual balance, correct perspective, and proper priorities must be maintained.

We will continue with this in the next article, and look at the second thing the Lord did, as has been mentioned above

If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about anything; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में दी गई आरम्भिक बातों में से छठी बात, “अन्तिम न्याय” के हमारे इस अध्ययन में, पिछले लेखों में हमने देखा है कि प्रथम पाप के साथ तीन और बातें मानवजाति में आ गईं – पहली, मृत्यु, दोनों आत्मिक तथा शारीरिक; दूसरी, मनुष्य के लिए जीवन भर दुःख और परेशानी उठाना और परिश्रम करना; और तीसरी, उनके लिए जो परमेश्वर की ओर मुड़ने और उसे जीवन समर्पित करने का निर्णय लेते हैं, परमेश्वर के साथ उनके बहाल किए जाने और अनन्तकालीन प्रतिफल प्राप्त करने की प्रतिज्ञा। पाप के इन तीनों प्रभावों के विभिन्न पक्षों के बारे में देख लेने के बाद, वर्तमान में हम प्रभु यीशु मसीह की मृत्यु के निहितार्थों पर, न केवल इन तीनों प्रभावों के सन्दर्भ में, वरन अपने दैनिक जीवनों के सन्दर्भ में भी, विचार कर रहे हैं; और साथ ही यह भी देख रहे हैं कि आज मसीहीयत में प्रभु यीशु की मृत्यु का किस प्रकार से गलत शिक्षाएँ फैलाने के लिए दुरुपयोग किया जा रहा है। पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि किस प्रकार से इस तथ्य का कि प्रभु यीशु ने समस्त मानवजाति के सभी पापों की पूरी कीमत चुका दी है, यह सिखाने के लिए दुरुपयोग किया जा रहा है कि जो प्रभु को ग्रहण कर लेगा उसकी सभी समस्याओं का समाधान हो जाएगा, उसका जीवन आरामदेह हो जाएगा, और उसे साँसारिक समृद्धि मिल जाएगी, ताकि लोगों को साँसारिक लाभों का लालच देकर मसीह की ओर आकर्षित किया जाए; जबकि प्रभु ने इन किसी को भी इन बातों का कभी कोई आश्वासन नहीं दिया। आज हम प्रभु यीशु की मृत्यु से सम्बन्धित इसी प्रकार कि कुछ और बाइबल से असंगत झूठी शिक्षाओं और प्रचलित बातों को देखेंगे। यह करते हुए हमें पिछले लेख के अन्त की ओर कही गई बात को ध्यान में बनाए रखना चाहिए, कि, परमेश्वर ने जो कहा नहीं है, वह उसे कभी स्वीकार नहीं करेगा, न उसका कोई आदर करेगा, और न ही उसे कभी पूरा करेगा। प्रभु के नाम में प्रचार की जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाएँ और बातें, कभी किसी का कोई लाभ नहीं करेंगी, बल्कि समस्याओं को बढ़ाएँगी, हानि करेंगी।

प्रभु यीशु की मृत्यु से सम्बन्धित कुछ अन्य गलत प्रचार और शिक्षाएँ हैं कि उसके मार खाने से हमें बीमारियों से शारीरिक चँगाइयाँ मिलने का एक उपाय दिया गया है; और, बीमारियों, समस्याओं, विपरीत परिस्थतियों, आदि पर उसके लहू को, या उसके क्रूस को लगाने का दावा करने के द्वारा इन सभी का निवारण हमारे पक्ष में हो जाएगा। जबकि पवित्रशास्त्र का तथ्य यही है कि ये बातें बाइबल के कथन अथवा सत्य नहीं हैं, चाहे उन्हें कितनी भी ईमानदारी, भक्ति, और श्रद्धा की भावनाओं के साथ क्यों न कहा गया हो। वरन ये सभी बातें मनुष्य की कल्पना, उसके विचारों की उपज हैं।

प्रभु के मार खाने, अर्थात उसे क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने से पहले उसे जो कोड़े मारे गए और यातनाएँ दी गईं, उनके द्वारा चँगे हो जाने का दावा “परन्तु वह हमारे ही अपराधों के कारण घायल किया गया, वह हमारे अधर्म के कामों के हेतु कुचला गया; हमारी ही शान्ति के लिये उस पर ताड़ना पड़ी कि उसके कोड़े खाने से हम चंगे हो जाएं” (यशायाह 53:5), जिस का हवाला पतरस ने भी दिया है “वह आप ही हमारे पापों को अपनी देह पर लिये हुए क्रूस पर चढ़ गया जिस से हम पापों के लिये मर कर के धामिर्कता के लिये जीवन बिताएं: उसी के मार खाने से तुम चंगे हुए” (1 पतरस 2:24) पर आधारित है। इन प्रमुख किये गए शब्दों पर आधारित यह प्रचलित धारणा, इन शब्दों को उनके सन्दर्भ से बाहर निकाल कर प्रस्तुत किए जाने, और “चँगाई” शब्द के सामान्यतः किसी बीमारी या अस्वस्थता के साथ उपयोग किए जाने के कारण है। लेकिन हमें यह नहीं भूलना चाहिए कि पवित्रशास्त्र में पाप को भी एक आत्मिक बीमारी के समान देखा गया है; और शारीरिक बीमारियों, जैसे कोढ़, को भी आलंकारिक भाषा में पाप के प्रतीक के समान उपयोग किया गया है। इसलिए, पवित्रशास्त्र में इस शब्द “चँगाई” के उपयोग के सन्दर्भ में, इसे केवल शारीरक बीमारी के लिए ही नहीं समझा जाना चाहिए, बल्कि यह आत्मिक बीमारी, पाप और उसके प्रभावों से चँगाई के लिए भी उतना ही लागू है। अब उपरोक्त दोनों पदों को देखिए, केवल उनके प्रमुख किए गए भागों को ही नहीं, बल्कि पूरे पदों को; और ध्यान कीजिए कि इन पदों के पहले भाग में शब्द “अपराधों,” “अधर्म,” “पापों,” का उपयोग, मनुष्य के पापों के लिए किया गया है। फिर, भाषा के आलंकारिक प्रयोग के द्वारा, उन पापों तथा उनके प्रभावों से प्रभु यीशु के द्वारा “चँगाई” या निवारण दिए जाने की बात कही गई है। कहीं पर भी, किसी भी शारीरिक बीमारी का कोई उल्लेख अथवा संकेत नहीं है। इसके अतिरिक्त, इन दोनों हवालों को छोड़ कर बाइबल में कहीं कोई और उल्लेख नहीं है कि प्रभु को क्रूस पर चढ़ाने से पहले उन्हें मारे गए कोड़ों या दी गई यातनाओं के द्वारा कभी कोई शारीरिक बीमारी से चँगाई मिली। यह बाइबल के कुछ शब्द या वाक्यांश को उसके सन्दर्भ से बाहर लेकर, बिना उसके वास्तविक अर्थ और व्यावहारिक प्रयोग पर ध्यान दिए हुए, एक मन-गढ़न्त सिद्धान्त, एक गलत शिक्षा बना लेने और सिखाने का उदाहरण है। 

हाँ, अपनी पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के दौरान प्रभु यीशु ने बहुत से लोगों को चँगा किया; हाँ, प्रभु ने अपने अनुयायियों में से कुछ को लोगों को चँगा करने का आत्मिक वरदान दिया है; और जिनको उसके नाम में चँगाई देने का यह वरदान मिला है वे आज भी चमत्कारिक रीति से लोगों को उनकी बीमारियों से चँगा करते हैं। परन्तु सुसमाचारों को खोल कर देख लीजिए, प्रभु ने कभी भी यह नहीं कहा है कि वह पृथ्वी पर लोगों को उनकी बीमारियों से चँगाई देने के लिए आया है। वरन, प्रभु ने हमेशा ही यही कहा है कि वह पापियों को पश्चाताप करने के लिए बुलाने और लोगों को उनके पापों से बचाने के लिए आया। मानवजाति के प्रति उसकी दया, प्रेम, और देखभाल के अन्तर्गत, उसने अपनी शक्तियों का प्रयोग लोगों को उनकी बीमारियों से चँगा करने के लिए भी किया; लेकिन उसके पृथ्वी पर आने का प्राथमिक उद्देश्य लोगों की शारीरिक बीमारियों को चँगा करना नहीं, वरन उन्हें उनके पापों से चँगा करना, और मानवजाति के लिए उद्धार का मार्ग तैयार करके देना था। साथ ही, सम्पूर्ण नए नियम में कहीं पर भी हम ऐसा कोई उदाहरण नहीं पाते हैं कि किसी ने भी लोगों को चँगा करने के लिए प्रभु के कोड़े खाने के दावे का उपयोग किया हो। नए नियम में प्रभु के शिष्यों के द्वारा जितने भी लोग चँगे किए गए, वे सभी प्रार्थनाओं के द्वारा किए गए, न कि प्रभु के कोड़े खाने के दावे के प्रयोग के द्वारा, जैसा कि आज लोग करते हैं।

 इसी प्रकार से, हम कहीं नहीं पाते हैं कि किसी ने भी, किसी चँगाई, या चमत्कारिक स्वास्थ्य लाभ, या किसी समस्या के समाधान, या किसी कठिन परिस्थिति से निकलने के लिए कभी भी प्रभु के लहू को लगाने, या/और प्रभु के क्रूस या क्रूस की शक्ति को लगाने का दावा किया हो। यहाँ तक कि प्रार्थना अथवा आराधना के लिए सामान्यतः उपयोग किए जाने वाले वाक्यांश का, कि, प्रभु के लहू को अपने ऊपर लेकर परमेश्वर के पास आते हैं, का भी कहीं पर भी कोई उल्लेख नहीं है। प्रभु यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों को जो प्रार्थना का उदाहरण सिखाया, उसका आरम्भ सीधे, साधारण शब्दों “हे हमारे पिता, तू जो स्वर्ग में है” (मत्ती 6:9) के साथ होता है। और अपनी मृत्यु तथा पुनरुत्थान के बाद भी प्रभु ने इसमें, परमेश्वर के पास आने के लिए, अपने लहू या क्रूस के किसी उल्लेख को नहीं जोड़ा। न ही पौलुस, या नए नियम के किसी भी परमेश्वर के जन ने, अपनी किसी भी प्रार्थना या आराधना में, कभी इस वाक्यांश का प्रयोग किया, कि वह प्रभु के लहू के द्वारा, या क्रूस अथवा उसकी शक्ति को लगाने के द्वारा परमेश्वर के पास आते हैं। हम यह भी देखते हैं कि पौलुस, तथा परमेश्वर के अन्य लोगों ने औरों से अनुरोध किए हैं कि वे उन्हें उनकी समस्याओं, अस्वस्थता, विपरीत परिस्थतियों, आदि से निकालने के लिए प्रार्थनाएँ करें; लेकिन कभी भी किसी भी प्रभु के जन ने, इन बातों के समाधान के लिए न तो स्वयं यह प्रभु का लहू लगाने या उसके क्रूस अथवा उसकी शक्ति को लगाने के वाक्यांश का उपयोग किया, और न ही औरों से कहा कि वे अपनी प्रार्थनाओं में उन पर प्रभु का लहू या उस का क्रूस अथवा क्रूस की शक्ति को लगाएं। 

यह करना, बाइबल से असंगत और गलत बातों का प्रचार करना, उन्हें सिखाना, और लोगों को उन्हें प्रयोग करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना, परमेश्वर के वचन में मनुष्य के द्वारा अपने ही विचारों और धारणाओं की मिलावट करके उसे भ्रष्ट करने से कम नहीं है। परमेश्वर के वचन में कुछ जोड़ना, या उसमें से कुछ घटाना वर्जित है, और ऐसा करने के बहुत गम्भीर परिणाम, और भारी दण्ड लिखा गया है (व्यवस्थाविवरण 4:2; 12:32; नीतिवचन 30:6; प्रकाशिवाक्य 22:18-19)। एक तरह से यह वही बात है जो फरीसियों तथा धर्म के अगुवों ने परमेश्वर के वचन के साथ की थी - उन्होंने पवित्रशास्त्र के लेखों और शब्दों को लिया, फिर उनमें, उनके बारे में अपनी ही व्याख्या, विचार, और धारणा मिलाई, और इस मिलावट के द्वारा भ्रष्ट कर दिए गए वचन को परमेश्वर का वचन कहकर लोगों को सिखाया। प्रभु यीशु ने यह करने के लिए उन्हें डाँटा (मत्ती 15:9), और कहा कि जो भी परमेश्वर ने नहीं लगाया है, वह सब उखाड़ा जाएगा, अर्थात परमेश्वर के वचन में उन्होंने जो मिलावट की थी, वह व्यर्थ है और परमेश्वर ने उसका तिरस्कार किया है, उसे नष्ट कर देगा।

अन्यजातियों, मूर्तिपूजकों में हम एक प्रचालन देखते हैं कि अपने देवी-देवताओं से अपनी इच्छाएँ, अपनी मनोकामनाएँ पूरी करवाने के लिए वे कुछ शब्दों को दोहराते रहते हैं, कुछ मन्त्रों को बोलते हैं, इस धारणा के अन्तर्गत कि उनके द्वारा बारम्बार दोहराए जाने वाले उच्चारणों से प्रसन्न होकर वे देवी-देवता उनकी इच्छा को पूरा कर देंगे; एक तरह से देखा जाए, तो यह उन शक्तियों को व्यक्ति द्वारा अपने अधीन कर लेने, उनसे अपने लिए काम करवाने का एक उपाय है। इसी प्रकार से बाइबल से सम्बन्धित कुछ शब्दों और तथ्यों को बारम्बार बोलने या दोहराते रहने के द्वारा, क्या हम भी तो अनजाने में शैतान की युक्ति में तो नहीं फँस रहे हैं, कि अपने गढ़े हुए वाक्यांशों तथा बाइबल के तथ्यों और शब्दों के मन-गढ़न्त प्रयोग के द्वारा हम परमेश्वर को अपनी इच्छानुसार करने, हमारी मनोकामना पूरी करने के लिए बाध्य करें? हम इतने मूर्ख क्यों हो जाते हैं कि किसी व्यक्ति पर अन्धविश्वास करें और उसकी बातों की नकल उतारने लगें, और इस बात की पूर्णतः अनदेखी कर दें कि बाइबल के अनुसार प्रतीत होने वाली उसकी बातें और वाक्यांश वास्तव में बाइबल के अनुसार सही नहीं हैं। बाइबल में उन्हें कभी उस रीति से कहा और प्रयोग किया ही नहीं गया है, जिस रीति से हम किसी व्यक्ति की नकल करते हुए करने लगे हैं; बजाए इसके कि बाइबल में दिए परमेश्वर के उन लोगों की नकल करें जिन्हे परमेश्वर ने हमारे लिए उदाहरण और नमूने के रूप में अपने वचन में रखा है। इसलिए, जो लोग एक आदत के अनुसार, बाइबल से असंगत और प्रतिकूल इन वाक्यांशों और शब्दों का प्रयोग करते हैं और उनका प्रसार करते हैं, उन्हें बहुत गम्भीरता से परमेश्वर के वचन के आधार पर विचार करना चाहिए कि वे कर क्या रहे हैं, अपने लिए भी तथा औरों के लिए भी? साथ ही, प्रभु यीशु के लहू से सम्बन्धित वाक्यांशों और शब्दों का, उन्हें यूँ ही बोल देने की आदत होने के कारण हल्के में प्रयोग करते समय, ज़रा इब्रानीयों 10:29 को ध्यान में रखना आरम्भ कर दें, और तब सोच समझ कर बोलें, कभी व्यर्थ न बोलें। एक बार फिर, ध्यान रखें कि परमेश्वर ने जो कहा नहीं है, वह उसे कभी स्वीकार नहीं करेगा, न उसका कोई आदर करेगा, और न ही उसे कभी पूरा करेगा। प्रभु के नाम में प्रचार की जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाएँ और बातें, कभी किसी का कोई लाभ नहीं करेंगी, बल्कि समस्याओं को बढ़ाएँगी, हानि करेंगी।

प्रभु यीशु मसीह का बलिदान और मृत्यु कोई ऐसी बात नहीं है जिसे हल्के में लिया जा सके और यूँ ही व्यवहार किया जा सके। उसे अपनी मन-गढ़न्त बातों के लिए, ऐसी बातें जिनकी बाइबल से पुष्टि नहीं है, उनके प्रचार और प्रसार तथा लोगों को गलत मार्ग पर डालने के लिए उपयोग नहीं किया जा सकता है। ध्यान रखिए, एक न्याय या हिसाब देना, जो बड़ी बारीकी से और प्रत्येक शब्द, विचार, कार्य, और बात का होगा, हमारे सामने रखा है; और इसी न्याय के आधार पर हमें हमारे अनन्तकालीन प्रतिफल दिए जाएँगे। ऐसा कोई नहीं है जो इस न्याय से बचेगा या इससे हल्के में छूट जाएगा। प्रभु यीशु मसीह की मृत्यु, और उससे जुड़ी हर बात बहुत गम्भीर और पवित्र है, और उसके साथ इसी के अनुसार व्यवहार करना चाहिए, विशेषकर मसीही विश्वासियों के द्वारा। अगले लेख में हम परमेश्वर के एक जन के जीवन के उदाहरण के द्वारा पाप के इन तीनों प्रभावों के बारे में देखेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Lord’s Death and its Implications - 4

   

    In this study on “Eternal Judgement,” the sixth elementary principle given in Hebrews 6:1-2, in the previous articles we have seen that along with the first sin, came three things – first, death, spiritual as well as physical; second, life-long suffering, problems, and toil for mankind; and third, a promise of restoration and eternal rewards for those who turn back to God and submit themselves to Him. Having considered various aspects of these three effects of sin, presently we are considering the implications of the death of the Lord Jesus in relation to not only these three effects of sin, but in relation to our daily lives; and are also considering the ways the death of the Lord Jesus is often being misused and misapplied in Christianity. In the last article we had seen how the fact of the Lord paying in full for all the sins of entire mankind is often misused to entice people through worldly things into following the Lord by claiming that thereby they will be ensured trouble-free and comfortable lives with earthly prosperity - things that the Lord never promised. Today, we will look at some other similar unBiblical and false teachings and practices associated with the death of the Lord Jesus. While doing so, we should bear in mind the concluding words of the last article, that What God has not said, He will neither accept, nor honor, nor do; and any wrong preaching and teaching in His name will only create problems and harm, never benefit anyone, in any manner.

Other wrong preaching and teachings, associated with the death of the Lord Jesus are that through His stripes we have been given a way of being healed of disease and illnesses; and that by claiming to apply His blood, and/or applying His Cross to diseases, illnesses, problems and adverse situations, will sort them all out in our favor. Whereas the Scriptural truth is that even though these claims may have been stated in all sincerity, piety, and reverence towards the Lord, yet, they are not Biblical facts or statements; instead, they are all figments of man’s imaginations, outcomes of human ingenuity. 

The claims of being healed by the Lord’s stripes, i.e., the lashing He was subjected to before being crucified, is based on “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5), quoted by Peter as “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). This popular misconception about the highlighted words is because these words are taken out of their context, and used in isolation; and because the word “healing” is usually associated with disease and sickness. But we should not forget that in the Scriptures even sin is seen as a spiritual disease; and diseases of the body, like leprosy, have been used figuratively for denoting sin. So, scripturally, “healing” need not always be seen as a physical healing from a disease, but can just as well be used for curing spiritual sickness, i.e., sin and its effects. When we think not just about the highlighted words of the verse, but the whole verse, then we see that in both of these verses, the first part of the verse, through use of “transgressions,” “iniquities,” “sins,” is referring to man’s sin. Then, in that context, at the end of both verses, in a figurative use of language, the “healing” i.e., the solution of these sins and their effects by the Lord has been stated. There is no indication of any physical healing of any disease in either of these verses. Moreover, other than these two references, there are no other Biblical passages that speak of human diseases being healed through the physical wounds of the torture that the Lord had to suffer before His crucifixion. This is an example of incorrectly building, preaching, and teaching a contrived doctrine, false beliefs, on just a phrase or few words taken from the Bible, without bothering to consider its context, its actual meaning, and its practical application.

Yes, during His earthly ministry, the Lord Jesus did heal people; Yes, He has given some of His followers the spiritual gift of healing, and those who have been given this gift of healing in His name, miraculously heal people even today. But look up the Gospel accounts, you will not find a single reference where the Lord has said that He came to earth to heal people of their diseases and illnesses. The Lord has always said that He came to call the sinners to repentance and to save people from their sins. In His compassion and care for mankind, He used His powers to help people and heal them; but the primary aim of His coming to earth was not for healing people from physical diseases, but for healing them from sin, and providing the way of salvation for mankind. Nowhere in the whole of the New Testament do we find anyone ever claiming to apply the stripes of the Lord Jesus to heal anyone; God’s people in the New Testament have always healed people through prayers, never by claiming to apply the stripes of the Lord, as is done by many people nowadays.

Similarly, nowhere do we find anyone ever claiming to apply the blood of the Lord Jesus, and/or applying His Cross, or the power of His Cross, for achieving any healing, miraculous recovery, solving any problem, or getting out of any difficult situation. Even the often used phrase of approaching God, in prayer or worship, through taking upon themselves the blood of the Lord Jesus, is not mentioned anywhere. Lord Jesus, began the model prayer He taught to the disciples, with the simple, straightforward words, “Our Father, in heaven” (Matthew 6:9). After His death and resurrection, neither did the Lord modify this opening sentence of His model prayer to add anything about His blood or His Cross for approaching God. Nor did Paul and other God’s people of the New Testament ever use this phrase of approaching God through the blood of the Lord or of Calvary, in any of their prayers or worship. We also see that these ministers of God, in various situations, all have requested for others to pray for them, to help them out of their problems, health issues, and situations; but none has ever used these phrases of applying the blood of Christ or applying the Cross of Christ or its power, for solving any of their adverse situations or health problems, nor have they asked others to do this “applying of the blood, or of the Cross” upon them, or, for them, in their prayers for them. 

Doing this, i.e., preaching, teaching, and encouraging these unBiblical things, is nothing short of adulterating God’s Word by adding ideas from man’s own thoughts and mind to God’s Word, which is forbidden, and has a very heavy penalty (Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32; Proverbs 30:6; Revelation 22:18-19). This is something like what the Pharisees and other religious leaders had done with God’s Word - they took Scriptural texts and truths, and then added their own interpretations and ideas into it, modified it, and used to teach this altered or adulterated form as God’s Word. The Lord Jesus reprimanded them for it (Matthew 15:9), and said that whatever God has not planted, will be uprooted and thrown away (Matthew 15:13), implying all these additions and modifications that they have done to God’s Word, are vain, have been rejected by God and will be destroyed by God. 

Amongst the pagans, we see the practice of worshippers using chants and incantations, to compel their deities to do their bidding; i.e., in a way bringing their deities under their subjection and demands, to do what they tell them to do. Similarly, through repetitive and vain use of some phrases based upon words and facts of the Bible, are we not inadvertently falling for a satanic plot of thinking that through our invented phrases and our contrived use of Biblical words, God can be compelled into acting in a certain way, and do for us what we want done? Why do we become so foolish, blindly copy some person, and overlook the fact that these seemingly Biblical but actually unBiblical phrases, have never been spoken of in this manner in God’s Word, nor have they ever been practiced in the Scriptures by the people of God. Why do we blindly start copying a person and doing his unBiblical things instead of copying those who have been mentioned in the Bible for being our examples? Therefore, those who habitually use and propagate these unBiblical phrases and words, should seriously think over what they are doing, to themselves and others, in light of God’s Word. Also, before using the phrases about the blood of Jesus, in the cursory and habitual manner that they do, they should ponder over Hebrews 10:29, before doing it again, and be careful not to repeat vain things. Once again, never disregard the fact that What God has not said, He will neither accept, nor honor, nor do; and any wrong preaching and teaching in His name will only create problems and harm, never benefit anyone, in any manner.

The sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus Christ was not anything that can be taken and treated lightly; and used to propagate ideas unsubstantiated by God’s Word, and misguide people. Remember, there is a judgment, an accounting, a very minute evaluation, of every thought, word, and deed waiting ahead of us for our eternal rewards; and none of us will escape, or get away lightly. The death of the Lord Jesus, and all things associated with it is something very solemn and holy, and should be treated as such, especially by the Believers. In the next article we will take up the example of a man of God, and see the three effects of sin through his life.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में दी गई पाँचवीं आरम्भिक बात, “मरे हुओं का जी उठना” पर ज़ारी हमारे अध्ययन में, पिछले लेख से हम ने 1 कुरिन्थियों 15, जो बाइबल का “पुनरुत्थान का अध्याय” है, में पुनरुत्थान के बारे में दी गई शिक्षाओं पर विचार करना आरम्भ किया है। हम ने देखा है कि प्रभु के पुनरुत्थान पर विश्वास करने, या, न करने के तात्पर्य क्या हैं। पौलुस पवित्र आत्मा में हो कर पद 19 में, मसीही विश्वासी के लिए उस का निष्कर्ष रखता है, “यदि हम केवल इसी जीवन में मसीह से आशा रखते हैं तो हम सब मनुष्यों से अधिक अभागे हैं” जो ऐसा अभिप्राय है जिस के निहितार्थ मसीही विश्वासियों के व्यवहारिक जीवन को प्रभावित करते हैं, अर्थात, प्रभु यीशु का पुनरुत्थान, केवल पार्थिव, शारीरिक, और नश्वर लाभ की आशा देने के लिए नहीं है। हम आज इसे थोड़ा विस्तार से देखेंगे।

पौलुस, पवित्र आत्मा में हो कर इस पद में कहता है कि प्रभु यीशु के पुनरुत्थान, और उस के परिणामस्वरूप मसीही विश्वासियों के निश्चित पुनरुत्थान के कारण, मसीही विश्वासियों का ध्यान सांसारिक से स्वर्गीय की और हो जाना चाहिए; केवल इस जीवन की बातों पर लगे रहने से हट कर उन के अनन्त जीवन पर लग जाना चाहिए। पौलुस ने यही बात कुलुस्से की मंडली को लिखी अपनी पत्री में भी दोहराई, “सो जब तुम मसीह के साथ जिलाए गए, तो स्वर्गीय वस्तुओं की खोज में रहो, जहां मसीह वर्तमान है और परमेश्वर के दाहिनी ओर बैठा है। पृथ्वी पर की नहीं परन्तु स्वर्गीय वस्तुओं पर ध्यान लगाओ” (कुलुस्सियों 3:1-2)। पुनरुत्थान की, सुसमाचार की, सामर्थ्य केवल इसी जीवन के लिए और उस सामर्थ्य के द्वारा शारीरिक तथा नाशमान बातों को प्राप्त करने के लिए नहीं है। वे, जिनकी पुनरुत्थान और सुसमाचार से आशा केवल इस सँसार की बातों और लाभ तक ही सीमित है, पवित्र आत्मा ने उन्हें पौलुस में होकर सबसे अधिक अभागे कहा है। ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि वे नाशमान साँसारिक बातों के पीछे भाग रहे हैं, जो देर-सवेर, जब वे इस पृथ्वी से कूच करेंगे, सब यहीं पीछे छूट जाएंगी। और जब वे अनन्तकाल में प्रवेश करेंगे, तो वे खाली हाथ होंगे, संभवतः उद्धार पाए हुए भी नहीं होंगे, और तब फिर वे अनन्त विनाश में चले जाएँगे।

यही वह भ्रम जिस का उन लोगों को कोई एहसास नहीं है, वह विनाशकारी परिणाम है जिस पर उन लोगों ने कभी विचार नहीं किया है; उन्होंने जो प्रभु के पुनरुत्थान और उस में विश्वास करने के प्रचार और शिक्षा को केवल लोगों को यीशु के नाम में पार्थिव, शारीरिक, और नश्वर बातों को प्राप्त करवाने, जैसे कि शारीरिक चंगाइयाँ, साँसारिक समृद्धि, भौतिक लाभ, नौकरी लगना, विवाह होना, या किसी अन्य साँसारिक अथवा शारीरिक समस्या से छूट जाना आदि के लिए उपयोग करते हैं। किन्तु वे कभी सुसमाचार को, अर्थात, लोगों के पापी होने, प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास के द्वारा सेंत-मेंत पापों से छुटकारा मिलने, प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के अवश्यंभावी न्याय के होने, स्वर्ग या नरक में जाने आदि के बारे में कोई प्रचार नहीं करते हैं, कोई शिक्षा नहीं देते हैं, इस पर कोई ज़ोर नहीं देते हैं। जो लोग यीशु के नाम में साँसारिक और शारीरिक लाभ प्राप्त करने की तो बात करते हैं, किन्तु उद्धार के सुसमाचार को नहीं बताते हैं, जिन के विश्वास, प्रचार, शिक्षा, और व्यवहार का आधार ये शारीरिक, साँसारिक, भौतिक, और नश्वर बातें प्राप्त कर लेना है, वे वास्तव में शैतान के लिए काम कर रहे हैं और यीशु के नाम में लोगों को अनन्त विनाश में भेज रहे हैं। क्योंकि जो उन के प्रचार और शिक्षाओं के द्वारा प्रभु में ‘विश्वास’ केवल इस लिए कर लेते हैं कि इस से उन्हें ये शारीरिक और नश्वर वस्तुएँ मिल जाएंगी, वे “सब मनुष्यों से अधिक अभागे” बन जाते हैं। क्योंकि एक बार जब उन का, जिन्होंने प्रभु यीशु के पुनरुत्थान और प्रभु के नाम को लेने से केवल शारीरिक और नश्वर लाभ ही प्राप्त किया है, जीवन समाप्त हो जाता है, जैसा कि वह निश्चय ही कभी न कभी तो होगा, वे फिर अनन्त विनाश में चले जाएँगे। ऐसा इस लिए होगा क्योंकि उद्धार का सुसमाचार उन्हें कभी सुनाया और सिखाया ही नहीं गया; उन्हें कभी पापों से पश्चाताप करने और प्रभु को अपना जीवन समर्पित कर देने के बारे में प्रचार ही नहीं किया गया। उन्हें तो केवल यही प्रचार किया और सिखाया गया कि उन्हें अपनी शारीरिक समस्याओं से छुटकारा पाने के लिए प्रभु पर ‘विश्वास’ या ‘भरोसा रखना’ है, और उन्होंने यही विश्वास किया, यही भरोसा रखा, इसी का पालन किया। प्रभु के पुनरुत्थान की सामर्थ्य का स्वाद चख लेने के बाद, उन के फिर भी विनाश में चले जाने के लिए कौन जवाबदेह होगा? प्रचारकों ने उन्हें शारीरिक चँगाई दे दी, और यह करने के लिए उन प्रचारकों का बहुत नाम, प्रशंसा, और प्रसिद्धि भी हो गई; परन्तु उन्होंने उन लोगों की आत्मिक चँगाई के लिए कुछ नहीं किया और उन्हें नरक में भेज दिया! केवल एक ही है जो यह कतई नहीं चाहता है कि लोगों को उन के पापों के बारे में, और प्रभु यीशु में हो कर पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार के बारे में पता चले; और वह शैतान है। इस लिए यीशु के नाम में किया गया कोई भी प्रचार और व्यवहार, जो लोगों को उनके केवल शारीरिक लाभ के बारे में बताता है, किन्तु और भी अधिक आवश्यक, आत्मिक समस्याओं से छूटने के बारे में नहीं बताता है, वह शैतान की ओर से है, वह चाहे यीशु के नाम में किया जाए, किन्तु प्रभु से हो ही नहीं सकता है (मत्ती 7:21-23)।

शारीरिक चँगाई तथा भौतिक समस्याओं से छुटकारा पाने का अर्थ स्वतः ही आत्मिक चँगाई और पापों से मुक्ति पा लेना नहीं है। हम सुसमाचारों में देखते हैं कि प्रभु द्वारा दी गई चंगाइयों के साथ वह हमेशा फिर पाप न करने के लिए भी कहता था; अर्थात प्रभु हमेशा ही लोगों से उन के पापों के बारे में बात करता था, और लोगों को उन से बच कर रहने के लिए कहता था। लेकिन आज जो लोग प्रभु के नाम में चँगाई देने की बात करते हैं, उन के प्रचार में इस का कोई उल्लेख नहीं होता है। बैतहसदा के कुण्ड के पास एक 38 वर्ष से बीमार व्यक्ति अकेला और असहाय पड़ा था, प्रभु ने उसे चँगा किया (यूहन्ना 5:1-9), प्रभु उस के पास फिर से लौट कर आया, और पाप से बच कर रहने के लिए चेतावनी दी (यूहन्ना 5:14), लेकिन फिर भी उस व्यक्ति ने जा कर यहूदियों को बता दिया और प्रभु के लिए कठिनाई उत्पन्न कर दी (यूहन्ना 5:15-16)। प्रभु यीशु ने पृथ्वी पर अपनी सेवकाई के दिनों में बहुतेरे लोगों को चँगा किया, लेकिन जब उसे पकड़ कर पिलातुस के सामने क्रूस पर मृत्यु दण्ड के लिए लाया गया, तो उन में से एक भी प्रभु के पक्ष में बोलने नहीं आया; बल्कि जितने वहाँ जमा थे वे सभी चिल्ला रहे थे कि उसे क्रूस दिया जाए (मरकुस 15:11-15), कोई नहीं चाहता था कि उसे छोड़ दिया जाए। उन के मध्य किए गए प्रभु के आश्चर्यकर्म और चंगाइयों ने उन्हें प्रभु के अनुयायी या शिष्य नहीं बनाया था। यही बात आज भी उतनी ही सत्य है; यीशु के नाम में लोगों के लिए जो कुछ भी किया जाता है वह उन्हें यीशु का अनुयायी या शिष्य नहीं बना देता है; वे तो प्रभु के पास केवल शारीरिक या भौतिक लाभ के लिए आते हैं, और उन में से अधिकाँश फिर से सँसार में लौट जाते हैं।

यदि केवल इस जीवन में ही हमें मसीह से आशा है, तो वास्तव में, हम सब मनुष्यों से अधिक अभागे हैं; और उस से भी बुरी दशा में वे हैं जिन्होंने लोगों में यह आशा तो जगाई किन्तु उन के उद्धार के लिए कुछ नहीं किया; उनके लिए प्रभु को इस बात का हिसाब देना कितना कठिन होगा। अगले लेख में हम पुनरुत्थान के अभिप्रायों पर विचार ज़ारी रखेंगे।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Resurrection’s Implications for the Believers – 2

In our continuing study of the fifth elementary principle given in Hebrews 6:1-2, “the resurrection of the dead,” since the last article we have started considering the teachings related to resurrection given in 1 Corinthians 15, the resurrection chapter of the Bible. We had seen that having shown the respective implications of believing, and, not believing in the Lord’s resurrection. Paul through the Holy Spirit gives its implication for the Christian Believers in verse 19, which says, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable” an implication that has a bearing on practical Christian living of the Believers; i.e., the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, is not something meant to give hope and assurance only for earthly, or physical, or temporal benefits. We will consider this in some detail in today.

 Paul, through the Holy Spirit says in this verse that the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and consequent to that, the assured resurrection of the Christian Believers is something that should shift focus from the worldly to the eternal; from only this life, to the eternal life of the Believers. Paul reiterates it in his letter to the Colossians, “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth” (Colossians 3:1-2). The power of the resurrection, of the gospel, is not meant for only this life and getting physical or temporal benefits through it. Those whose hope from the resurrection and gospel is limited only to things and benefits in this world, the Holy Spirit, through Paul calls them as those who are the most miserable (KJV) or most pitiable (NKJV, NASB, NIV). This is because they are running after the perishable worldly things, which sooner or later be all left behind when they depart from earth; but when they enter eternity, they will be empty handed, possibly not even be saved, and therefore will go into eternal destruction.

This is the unrealized travesty, the disastrous result of those who preach, teach, and use the Lord’s resurrection and faith in Him, only for people receiving earthly, physical, and temporal things in the name of Jesus, e.g., physical healings, worldly prosperity, material benefits, getting employment, or getting married, or being delivered from any other physical or worldly problem or situation, etc. But do not preach the gospel, i.e., about man’s sins, the freely available forgiveness of sins though faith in the Lord, the inevitable eternal judgement of mankind, going to heaven or hell, are never told, or taught or emphasized. Those preaching about physical benefits in the name of Jesus, but not sharing the gospel of salvation, those whose faith, preaching, teaching, and conduct is based upon receiving the physical, worldly, material, and temporal, are actually engaged in working for Satan and sending people into eternal destruction in the name of Jesus. Because those who, through their preaching and teaching, come to ‘believe’ in the Lord only for getting these physical and temporal things done, become “the most pitiable of all men.” Because once the life of those who have only physically and temporally benefitted from the Lord’s resurrection and calling upon His name, is over, as it most certainly will be at some time, they will still go into eternal destruction. This will be because the gospel of salvation was never preached and taught to them; they were never told about repenting from sins and submitting their lives to the Lord Jesus. All they were preached and taught was ‘believe’ or ‘have faith’ in the Lord to deliver them from their physical problem, and that is all that they ‘believed’ and ‘had faith’ about. They were never told and taught about the necessity of repentance from sins, about accepting the Lord Jesus as their savior and submitting to Him, about living a life obedient to the Lord and His Word. All they were told and taught was being delivered from their physical problems, and they followed that. Who will answer for their eternal destruction despite having tasted the power of the Lord’s resurrection? The preachers healed them physically, received a lot of name, fame, and appreciation for it, but never did anything for their spiritual healing, and sent them to hell! The only one who does not want people to learn of their sins and about salvation through forgiveness of sins by the Lord Jesus, is Satan. Therefore, any preaching and practice in the name of Jesus that does not tell the people about their need to be delivered not just from physical problems, but more importantly from their spiritual problems, is satanic; it cannot be from the Lord, though it may be in the name of the Lord (Matthew 7:21-23).

Physical healing and relief from physical problems does not automatically mean spiritual healing and deliverance from sins. We see in the gospel accounts that the Lord’s physical healings were accompanied by the admonition “go and sin no more” i.e., the Lord always spoke to them about their sins and not falling back into them. But this is missing from those who appeal to people to come and be healed in the name of Lord Jesus today. The man having an infirmity for 38 years, lying alone and helpless by the pool of Bethesda, was healed by the Lord (John 5:1-9), the Lord came back to him and warned him about sinning (John 5:14), but he still went and told the Jews and made things difficult for the Lord’s ministry (John 5:15-16). The Lord Jesus had healed countless number of people during His earthly ministry, but none of them stood with Him, or spoke in favor of Him when He was brought before Pilate to be crucified; instead, all who were gathered before Pilate were yelling to have Him crucified (Mark 15:11-15), none wanted Him released. Jesus’s healings and miracles amongst them had not made them the followers or disciples of Christ. The same is true today; all that is done in the name of Jesus, does not make people the followers or disciples of the Lord; they only come for physical and temporal gain, and then most of them go back into the world.

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, then indeed, we are the most pitiable of all men; and far worse are the ones who raise this hope in people but do not do anything for their salvation; how difficult it will be for them to answer for this before the Lord. In the next article we will continue with the implications of resurrection.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
