परमेश्वर की क्षमा और न्याय – 20
प्रभु की मृत्यु और उसके निहितार्थ – 2
इब्रानियों 6:1-2 में दी गई आरम्भिक बातों में से छठी बात, “अन्तिम न्याय” के हमारे इस अध्ययन में, पिछले लेखों में हमने देखा है कि प्रथम पाप के साथ तीन और बातें मानवजाति में आ गईं – पहली, मृत्यु, दोनों आत्मिक तथा शारीरिक; दूसरी, मनुष्य के लिए जीवन भर दुःख और परेशानी उठाना और परिश्रम करना; और तीसरी, उनके लिए जो परमेश्वर की ओर मुड़ने और उसे जीवन समर्पित करने का निर्णय लेते हैं, परमेश्वर के साथ उनके बहाल किए जाने और अनन्तकालीन प्रतिफल प्राप्त करने की प्रतिज्ञा। हमने मसीही विश्वासी के जीवन में आजीवन दुःख और परेशानी उठाने तथा परिश्रम करने के विभिन्न पक्षों को देखा है; हमने यह भी देखा है कि किस प्रकार से यह परमेश्वर द्वारा दिया गया एक उपाय है, उसके बच्चों को इस पृथ्वी पर तथा स्वर्ग में लाभ प्रदान करने के लिए। हमने अनन्तकालीन स्वर्गीय प्रतिफलों के बारे में भी देखा है कि प्रत्येक विश्वासी के लिए उन्हें किस प्रकार से निर्धारित किया जाएगा, और प्रदान किया जाएगा। हमने परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल से, पाप के पहले प्रभाव, आत्मिक और शारीरिक मृत्यु के अर्थ के बारे में देखा था।
पिछले लेख से हमने कलवरी के क्रूस पर प्रभु यीशु की मृत्यु के अभिप्रायों को, और पाप के द्वारा आए तीनों प्रभावों के प्रति उस के प्रभाव को देखना आरम्भ किया है। हमने बाइबल के कुछ पदों से देखा है कि प्रभु यीशु मसीह की शारीरिक मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान के द्वारा, किस प्रकार से मानवजाति पर से शैतान, पाप, और मृत्यु के बन्धन टूट गए हैं, क्योंकि प्रभु ने समस्त मानवजाति के सभी पापों को अपने ऊपर ले लिया, और सभी के लिए उनके दण्ड, मृत्यु, को सह लिया। प्रभु यीशु कलवरी के क्रूस पर मारे गए, गाड़े गए, और तीसरे दिन फिर जी उठे, और अपनी शारीरिक मृत्यु के द्वारा, मानवजाति की शारीरिक मृत्यु के लिए प्रायश्चित को पूरा कर दिया, मृत्यु के शारीरिक पक्षों से छुटकारा पाने के लिए मार्ग तैयार कर दिया। प्रभु में विश्वास लाने के द्वारा हमें यह आश्वासन है कि हमारा शारीरिक रीति से हमारा अपने प्रिय जनों से अलग हो जाने का, हमारी पुनरुत्थान हुई देहों में समाधान हो जाएगा, और सभी वास्तव में नया-जन्म पाए हुए विश्वासी, अनन्तकाल के लिए अपने अन्य नया-जन्म, उद्धार पाए हुए परिवार जनों, मित्रों, तथा परमेश्वर की अन्य सन्तानों के साथ मिलकर साथ रहने पाएँगे। आज हम देखेंगे कि कलवरी के क्रूस पर प्रभु यीशु की मृत्यु ने, मृत्यु के आत्मिक पक्ष का, जो सम्बन्ध पाप के कारण टूट गया था, उसका भी प्रायश्चित कर दिया, और मनुष्य के परमेश्वर के साथ मेल-मिलाप के लिए मार्ग तैयार कर के दे दिया।
प्रेरित पतरस ने प्रभु यीशु के बारे में लिखा है, “वह आप ही हमारे पापों को अपनी देह पर लिये हुए क्रूस पर चढ़ गया जिस से हम पापों के लिये मर कर के धामिर्कता के लिये जीवन बिताएं: उसी के मार खाने से तुम चंगे हुए” (1 पतरस 2:24)। प्रभु यीशु मसीह के द्वारा समस्त मानवजाति के सभी पापों को अपने ऊपर ले लेने के विषय पौलुस ने लिखा “जो पाप से अज्ञात था, उसी को उसने हमारे लिये पाप ठहराया, कि हम उस में हो कर परमेश्वर की धामिर्कता बन जाएं” (2 कुरिन्थियों 5:21)। पौलुस द्वारा कही गई बात से हम देखते हैं कि क्रूस पर प्रभु केवल मानवजाति के समस्त पापों का बोझ उठाए हुए नहीं था; वरन, वह जो पाप से अनजान था, जिस में कभी कोई पाप था ही नहीं, वह पाप की देह बन गया था; उस पर केवल पाप के धब्बे नहीं थे, वह पाप सदेह था। इसके कारण प्रभु यीशु ने जो वेदना सही, वह हमारी कल्पना और वर्णन से बाहर है। हम इसके एक बहुत छोटे स्वरूप को इस काल्पनिक स्थिति के द्वारा समझ सकते हैं, क्या होता है यदि हमारा पाँव फिसल कर हर प्रकार की गन्दगी से भरी नाली में चला जाए; उस घिन और मितली उठने की भावना का वर्णन नहीं किया जा सकता है। और पाँव तथा जूते अथवा सैंडल आदि को धो लेने के बाद भी यह विचलित करने वाली भावना काफी देर तक हम में बनी रहती है। अब सोचिए कि यह विचलित करनी वाली भावना और कितनी बढ़ी हुई होगी यदि केवल पाँव नहीं, वरन हम स्वयं ही हर प्रकार की गन्दगी से भरे हुए गड्ढे में गिर जाएँ; लेकिन अभी वो गन्दगी हमारे बाहर ही है, हमारे अन्दर नहीं गई है। कल्पना कीजिए कि क्या होगा यदि उस गन्दगी का कुछ अंश हमारे अन्दर भी चला जाए। लेकिन प्रभु के लिए तो यह इससे भी कहीं अधिक बुरा था, वह तो पाप बन गया था! वह जो पाप से अनजान था, जिस में कभी कोई पाप था ही नहीं, वह पाप बन गया, पाप की देह हो गया। इसके कारण प्रभु को जिस वेदना से होकर निकलना पड़ा होगा, उसे समझ पाना, वह हमारे मन-मस्तिष्क की क्षमताओं से परे है। जब प्रभु गतसमनी के बाग में पिता परमेश्वर के सामने प्रार्थना में गिड़गिड़ा रहा था कि यह कटोरा उस से हटा लिया जाए, तो वह केवल अत्यन्त पीड़ादायक शारीरिक दुःख के बारे में ही नहीं गिड़गिड़ा रहा था, वरन मानवजाति को पाप से छुड़ाने के लिए, उस पीड़ा से भी कहीं अधिक तीव्र, पाप बन जाने, और परमेश्वर से पृथक हो जाने की वेदना के बारे में भी गिड़गिड़ा रहा था।
हाल ही के एक लेख में हमने हबक्कूक 1:13 से देखा है कि परमेश्वर पाप पर दृष्टि नहीं कर सकता है, तथा यशायाह 59:2 से देखा है कि पाप हमें परमेश्वर से दूर करता है, और वह हमारी बात सुनने नहीं पाता है। समस्त मानवजाति के सभी पापों को अपने ऊपर ले लेने के कारण प्रभु जब पाप बन गया था, तब परमेश्वर पिता ने उस से अपना मुँह फेर लिया, और उस असहनीय आत्मिक वेदना के कारण प्रभु चिल्ला उठा, “तीसरे पहर के निकट यीशु ने बड़े शब्द से पुकारकर कहा, एली, एली, लमा शबक्तनी अर्थात हे मेरे परमेश्वर, हे मेरे परमेश्वर, तू ने मुझे क्यों छोड़ दिया?” (मत्ती 27:46)। जो कल्पना से भी परे था, अविश्वसनीय था, वह हो गया था, पवित्र त्रिएक परमेश्वर का एक भाग, परमेश्वर पुत्र, परमेश्वरत्व से पृथक हो गया था। यह कैसे सम्भव हुआ होगा कि परमेश्वर ने अपने आप को स्वयं से अलग किया, और इस बात के अभिप्रायों की हम कल्पना भी नहीं कर सकते हैं; लेकिन परमेश्वर ने हम पापी मनुष्यों को बचाने के लिए यह किया। प्रभु यीशु ने परमेश्वर से आत्मिक रीति से भी अलग होना कलवरी के क्रूस पर सहा और उस से हमारे आत्मिक मेल-मिलाप किए जाने के लिए भी प्रायश्चित को पूरा किया।
इस प्रकार से कलवरी के क्रूस पर प्रभु की मृत्यु ने मनुष्य की मृत्यु के दोनों पक्षों – आत्मिक और शारीरिक का, समस्त मानवजाति के लिए प्रायश्चित पूरा किया, और परमेश्वर के साथ मनुष्य के मेल-मिलाप का मार्ग बना कर दे दिया, अर्थात, उनके लिए जो प्रभु के बलिदान को स्वीकार करते हैं, उस में विश्वास लाते हैं, और अपने जीवन उसे समर्पित कर देते हैं “सो जब हम विश्वास से धर्मी ठहरे, तो अपने प्रभु यीशु मसीह के द्वारा परमेश्वर के साथ मेल रखें। जिस के द्वारा विश्वास के कारण उस अनुग्रह तक, जिस में हम बने हैं, हमारी पहुंच भी हुई, और परमेश्वर की महिमा की आशा पर घमण्ड करें” (रोमियों 5:1-2)।
अगले लेख में हम यहाँ से आगे बढ़ेंगे, और कुछ अन्य सम्बन्धित बातों को देखेंगे, और फिर इन बातों को परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के एक प्रमुख पात्र के जीवन के द्वारा चित्रित होते हुए देखेंगे।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Lord’s Death and its Implications - 2
In this study on “Eternal Judgement,” the sixth elementary principle given in Hebrews 6:1-2, in the previous articles we have seen that along with the first sin, came three things – first, death, spiritual as well as physical; second, life-long suffering, problems, and toil for mankind; and third, a promise of restoration and eternal rewards for those who turn back to God and submit themselves to Him. We have considered the various aspects of life-long suffering in a Christian Believers life; and have seen how it is a God given mechanism of providing earthly as well as eternal heavenly benefits for His children. We have also seen about the eternal heavenly rewards, and how they will be ascertained for each Believer and then given to them. We had seen, on the basis of God’s Word the Bible, what the first effect of sin, i.e., death, in its spiritual as well as physical aspects, means.
In the last article, we began considering the implications of the Lord Jesus’s death on the Cross of Calvary, and how it relates to the three effects of sin. We saw through some Biblical verses, how the hold of Satan, sin, and death upon mankind was broken by the physical death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, because He took upon Himself all the sins of all of mankind, and suffered their penalty of death for everyone. The Lord Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary, was buried, and rose again on the third day, and through His physical death, made the atonement for the physical death of mankind. Through coming to faith in Him we have the assurance that our physical separation from our loved ones will be done away with, and in their resurrected bodies all truly Born-Again Christian Believers will be re-united to live together for eternity with all their other Born-Again and saved family members, friends, and other children of God. Today we will look how the death of the Lord Jesus on the Cross of Calvary also made atonement for the spiritual aspect of death, and made the way for man to be reconciled with God, from whom sin has separated mankind.
The Apostle Peter writes about the Lord Jesus, “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). Paul further describes the magnitude of what it meant for the Lord Jesus to take the sins of mankind upon Himself “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21). From Paul’s description we see that it was not just that the Lord at that time, on the Cross, was carrying the burden of all the sin of the entire mankind; rather He who knew no sin, in whom was no sin, He had become sin personified; He was not just tainted with sin, but had become sin. The sheer agony experienced by the Lord Jesus because of this is unimaginable and incomprehensible for us. We can have a very small idea by imagining what happens to us if our foot slips and goes into a drain full of filth; that nauseous feeling of revulsion is indescribable, and even after washing our foot and footwear off the filth, the uncomfortable feeling persists in us for quite some time. Now imagine how severe this unpleasant feeling would be if not just our foot, but we slipped and fell into a ditch of filth; but yet, the filth is on us, and not inside of us. Imagine what if it went in to us, how bad that would that be. But for the Lord, it was even worse, He became sin! He who knew no sin, in whom was no sin, became sin – embodied sin. Our minds are just not capable of fathoming the agony the Lord suffered because of this. When the Lord was agonizing in prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane, pleading before God the Father, for this cup to be taken away from Him, it was not just the physical sufferings that He was agonizing about, but more so about this far greater agony of having to become sin, and be separated from the Godhead, to deliver mankind from sin.
In a recent article we have seen from Habakkuk 1:13 that God cannot look upon sin, and have seen from Isaiah 59:2 that sin separates us from God, prevents Him from hearing us. When the Lord was in this condition of having become sin by taking upon Himself the sins of all of mankind, God the Father turned away from Him, and the Lord cried out in a state of unbearable spiritual agony, “And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"” (Matthew 27:46). The unimaginable and unbelievable had happened, a member of the Holy Trinity, God the Son, was separated from the Godhead. How God could have separated Himself from Himself, and what its implications are, is beyond our comprehension; but God di it to save us, sinful human beings. The Lord, as the man Jesus, suffered spiritual separation from God, for all of mankind, and made the atonement for spiritual reconciliation as well.
Thus the Lord’s death on the Cross of Calvary atoned for man’s death, in both its aspects – physical and spiritual, for all of mankind, and provided the way for man’s reconciliation with God, i.e., for all those who accept His sacrifice, believe in Him, and submit themselves to Him “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:1-2).
In the next article we will carry on from here, and consider some other related aspects, and then go on to see these things illustrated through the life of a prominent character of God’s Word the Bible.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
