    हमने इस श्रृंखला के आरम्भ में देखा था कि मसीही विश्वासियों और कलीसिया की उन्नति एवं बढ़ोतरी के लिए, उन्हें सम्पूर्ण बाइबल और उसकी शिक्षाओं को अच्छे से जानना चाहिए। बाइबल की जिन शिक्षाओं को जानना और सीखना चाहिए, उनमें से तीन प्रकार की शिक्षाएँ आधारभूत और अनिवार्य हैं – सुसमाचार से सम्बन्धित, आरंभिक बातों के बारे में, और व्यवहारिक मसीही जीवन जीने से सम्बन्धित शिक्षाएँ। इन तीन में से हमने सुसमाचार से सम्बन्धित शिक्षाओं के बारे में सीखना आरम्भ किया है; और हमने मरकुस 1:14-15 से देखा है कि सुसमाचार से सम्बन्धित शिक्षाओं के दो मुख्य भाग हैं मन-फिराव या पश्चाताप, तथा सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करना। हाल ही के लेखों में हम मन-फिराव या पश्चाताप से सम्बन्धित शिक्षाओं के विभिन्न पक्षों के बारे में देख रहे थे; आज से हम सुसमाचार पर विश्वास करने से सम्बन्धित कुछ बातों के बारे में विचार करना आरम्भ करेंगे।

    सुसमाचार से सम्बन्धित शिक्षाओं की इस श्रृंखला के आरम्भ में, हमने देखा था कि शब्द “सुसमाचार” का शब्दार्थ है “भला या अच्छा समाचार;” और पहले तीन सुसमाचार वृतांतों में इस शब्द के प्रथम उपयोग से हमने निष्कर्ष निकाला था कि सुसमाचार परमेश्वर के राज्य के बारे में है, जिसे परमेश्वर ने अपने पुत्र प्रभु यीशु के जीवन और सेवकाई के द्वारा, सारी मानवजाति के साथ-साथ कंगालों और तुच्‍छों को भी उपलब्ध करवाया गया है। सुसमाचार का प्रचार करना, परमेश्वर के राज्य के भले समाचार को बताना है (मत्ती 9:35; 24:14; मरकुस 13:10; लूका 9:6)। इन तीनों हवालों से, तथा सुसमाचार शब्द से सम्बन्धित सुसमाचार के वृतांतों में से अन्य हवालों में ध्यान कीजिए कि शब्द “सुसमाचार,” प्रभु की द्वारा अपनी पृथ्वी की सेवकाई की बातों में भी तथा उसके शिष्यों की सेवकाई में भी, उनके द्वारा परमेश्वर के राज्य के सन्दर्भ में उपयोग किया गया है। सुसमाचार के वृतांतों में शब्द “सुसमाचार,” लगभग सभी स्थानों पर, प्रभु यीशु के क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने, मारे जाने, गाड़े जाने, और पुनरुत्थान से पहले, अर्थात, सँसार के पापों के प्रायश्चित के लिए उनके द्वारा दिए गए अपने बलिदान से पहले ही उपयोग किया गया है। 

    इसलिए, उस सन्दर्भ में, जितनों ने भी प्रभु और उसके शिष्यों से प्रभु की मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान से पूर्व, इस अभिव्यक्ति को सुना होगा, तो वे इसे प्रभु के बलिदान और उसमें विश्वास द्वारा मिलने वाले उद्धार के सन्दर्भ में, जैसा कि हम आज उसे समझते हैं, नहीं समझने और स्वीकार करने पाए होंगे; क्योंकि तब तक यह बात हुई ही नहीं थी। उनके लिए तो इस का बस यही अर्थ रहा होगा कि परमेश्वर के राज्य के आगमन की उनकी लम्बे समय से चली आ रही प्रतीक्षा अब समाप्त हुई है। परमेश्वर का वचन हमें दिखाता है कि प्रभु यीशु की पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के समय में लोग प्रतिज्ञा किये हुए मसीहा की, छुड़ाने वाले की, जो आ कर उन्हें बन्धुआई से स्वतन्त्र करेगा, के आगमन की प्रत्याशा में जी रहे थे। लेकिन बहुतेरों ने बन्धुआई से मुक्ति का अर्थ उन पर वर्तमान रोमी शासन से मुक्ति मिलना भर ही समझ लिया था।

    पुराने नियम में, इस छुड़ाने वाले तथा उस के द्वारा उन्हें मिलने वाले छुटकारे के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी दी गई है। इसलिए प्रभु यीशु मसीह की पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के दिनों में, लोगों में यह तीव्र प्रत्याशा थी कि उन भविष्यवाणियों के पूरा होने का समय आ गया है; मुक्तिदाता का जन्म और उसका प्रकट होना कभी भी हो सकता है, और वे सभी उस की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे। यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाले ने भी अपनी सेवकाई ऐसी ही प्रत्याशा के साथ आरम्भ की थी, और जब प्रभु उसके पास आया, तो यूहन्ना ने उसे पहचान भी लिया, “दूसरे दिन उसने यीशु को अपनी ओर आते देखकर कहा, देखो, यह परमेश्वर का मेम्ना है, जो जगत के पाप उठा ले जाता है” (यूहन्ना 1:29)। यूहन्ना बपतिस्मा देने वाले के शिष्य अन्द्रियास ने, यूहन्ना के कहने पर प्रभु यीशु को मसीह स्वीकार कर लिया, “उसने पहिले अपने सगे भाई शमौन से मिलकर उस से कहा, कि हम को ख्रिस्तुस अर्थात मसीह मिल गया” (यूहन्ना 1:41)। सामान्य लोगों में भी यही प्रत्याशा थी, जैसा कि सामरी स्त्री ने प्रभु यीशु से, और फिर अपने गाँव के लोगों से कहा, “स्त्री ने उस से कहा, मैं जानती हूं कि मसीह जो ख्रीस्‍तुस कहलाता है, आने वाला है; जब वह आएगा, तो हमें सब बातें बता देगा। आओ, एक मनुष्य को देखो, जिसने सब कुछ जो मैं ने किया मुझे बता दिया: कहीं यही तो मसीह नहीं है?” (यूहन्ना 4:25, 29)। प्रभु यीशु की मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान के बाद भी, उसके स्वर्ग पर उठाए जाने से ठीक पहले तक भी, जबकि वह चालीस दिन तक अपने शिष्यों को उनकी आने वाली सारे जगत में जाकर सुसमाचार प्रचार करने की सेवकाई के लिए तैयार चुका था, लेकिन फिर भी वे शिष्य अभी भी पृथ्वी पर ही राज्य स्थापित किये जाने और फिर वह राज्य यहूदियों को सौंप दिए जाने के दृष्टिकोण से ही विचार कर रहे थे (प्रेरितों 1:6)। इस प्रकार से, उस समय के लोगों के लिए, शब्द “सुसमाचार” का तात्पर्य मुख्यतः पृथ्वी पर ही परमेश्वर के राज्य के स्थापित किये जाने और उसका संचालन यहूदियों को सौंप दिए जाने से ही सम्बन्धित था।

    हम अगले लेख में कुछ और सम्बन्धित बातों को देखेंगे, और यह भी कि शब्द “सुसमाचार” किस प्रकार से स्वर्गीय राज्य, पापों से छुड़ाए जाने, और उद्धार से सम्बन्धित है।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Teachings Related to the Gospel – 14 

 

    We had seen at the beginning of this series that for the growth and edification of the Christian Believers and the Church, they must be well versed in the whole of the Bible and its teachings. Of the various Biblical teachings that the Believers need to learn and know, three kinds of teachings – about the gospel, about the fundamental principles, and about Christian living, are fundamentally essential. Of these three, we have started to learn about the teachings related to the gospel; and have seen from Mark 1:14-15 that repentance and believing in the gospel are the two key components of the teachings related to the gospel. In the recent articles we had been considering various aspects related to repentance; from today we will begin considering some aspects about believing in the gospel.

    At the beginning of this series on teachings related to the gospel, we had seen that the word “gospel” literally means “good news;” and from the first use of the word “gospel” in the first three Gospels we had surmised that it is about the Kingdom of God, made available by God to all of mankind, including even the poor and lowly, through the life and ministry of His son the Lord Jesus Christ. To preach the gospel, is to preach the good news of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 9:35; 24:14; Mark 13:10; Luke 9:6). Notice that in these three, and in the other references in the gospel accounts, the word “gospel,” during Lord’s earthly ministry, as well as the ministry of His disciples, has been used by them in relation to the Kingdom of God. In the Gospel accounts, in nearly all the places, the word “gospel” has been used before the crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus, i.e., before His atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world. 

    Hence, in that context, all who heard this expression from the Lord and the disciples, during their ministry before the death and resurrection of the Lord, would not have related it to the Lord’s sacrifice and salvation through believing in it, as we relate it today, since this had not happened at that time. To them, it would have simply conveyed the sense that their long wait for the arrival of the Kingdom of God was over. The Word of God shows us that the people at the time of the Lord Jesus’s earthly ministry were living in anticipation of the promised Messiah, the deliverer who would come and release them from bondage. But many had assumed that this deliverance from bondage meant deliverance from the rule of the Roman empire over them.

    In the Old Testament, detailed information is given about the deliverer, the savior, and about the deliverance through him. Therefore, during the days of the Lord Jesus’s earthly ministry, the people already had a strong anticipation that the time of fulfillment of these prophecies was complete; the savior was about to be born and revealed, and they were all waiting for Him. John the Baptist too, began his ministry with a similar anticipation, and recognized Him when He came to him “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). Andrew, the disciple of John the Baptist, on hearing this from John accepted Jesus as the Christ, also called his brother, Simon Peter to meet the Lord “He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which is translated, the Christ)” (John 1:41). Even the general public had a similar anticipation about Him, as the Samaritan woman at the well said to the Lord Jesus, and then to the people of her village “The woman said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming" (who is called Christ). "When He comes, He will tell us all things. Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?"” (John 4:25, 29). Even after the death and resurrection of the Lord, and just before His ascension, and having prepared the disciples for forty days for their coming world-wide ministry of preaching the gospel of salvation, the disciples were still thinking in terms of an earthly kingdom that would be established and then it would be handed back to the Jews (Acts 1:6). So, to the people at that time, the word “gospel” essentially signified the establishment of God’s Kingdom on earth, with the charge of the Kingdom being given to the Jews.

    We will see more in the next article, and how the term “gospel” relates to the heavenly kingdom, deliverance from sins, and salvation.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Voluntarily repent of your sins and ask the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourself to Him - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पिछले कुछ लेखों में हमने हजारों वर्ष पहले बाइबल में सृष्टि, खगोल-शास्त्र, और अंतरिक्ष के बारे में लिखी गई बातों को देखने के बाद, पिछले लेख में हम ने हजारों वर्ष पहले से बाइबल में लिखी हुई पृथ्वी के जीवन के योग्य होने से सम्बन्धित कुछ ऐसी वैज्ञानिक बातों को देखना आरम्भ किया था, जिन्हें विज्ञान ने हाल ही में पहचाना है, और उन के महत्व को समझा है। हमने देखा था कि यदि ये सभी बातें एक साथ नहीं होती, तो पृथ्वी पर जीवन सम्भव नहीं था; ये धीरे-धीरे, एक, दो, या कोई-कोई कर के उस उचित स्वरूप में विकसित नहीं हो सकती थीं, क्योंकि जब तक एक-दो उस स्वरूप में आतीं, होते रहने वाले बदलाव के कारण अन्य बातें बदल कर कुछ और हो चुकी होती, और जीवन का आरम्भ होना असंभव ही बना रहता। इसलिये सभी सही बातों का एक साथ होना और जब तक जीवन आरम्भ होकर विकसित नहीं हो जाता, किसी भी परिवर्तन का ज़ारी न होना अनिवार्य था - जो क्रमिक विकास के सिद्धान्त के ही विरुद्ध है, उसके होने को ही नकार देता है - और यदि परिवर्तन ज़ारी रहता तो जीवन का आरम्भ होना असंभव हो जाता। हमने यह भी देखा था कि इन सभी सही बातों का एक साथ ही अनायास हो जाने की सम्भावना गणित के अनुसार इतनी कम है कि उसे असम्भव की श्रेणी में रखा जाता है। किन्तु बाइबल बताती है कि यह सब अनायास या आकस्मिक नहीं है; परमेश्वर ने बहुत बारीकी से, एक योजना बद्ध तरीके से पृथ्वी से सम्बन्धित हर बात को जीवन के लिये निर्धारित और कार्यान्वित किया, कि वे जीवन को संभाल सकें, और उसके बाद पृथ्वी पर जीवन उत्पन्न किया। 

आज हम पृथ्वी से सम्बन्धित बाइबल में लिखी गई कुछ अन्य ऐसी ही अद्भुत बातों को देखेंगे।

जबकि अन्य धर्म और मतों की पौराणिक कथाओं में पृथ्वी को किसी पशु अथवा मनुष्य द्वारा उठा कर रखा गया बताया गया है, बाइबल में अय्यूब की पुस्तक में, जो लगभग 2000 ईस्वी पूर्व अर्थात, आज से लगभग 4000 वर्ष पुरानी है, स्पष्ट लिखा है कि पृथ्वी अंतरिक्ष के रिक्त स्थान में मुक्त लटकी हुई है: "वह उत्तर दिशा को निराधार फैलाए रहता है, और बिना टेक पृथ्वी को लटकाए रखता है" (अय्यूब 26:7)। 

पहले के समय में, जबकि प्रचलित विश्वास, और विज्ञान की भी धारणा यही थी कि पृथ्वी सपाट (flat) है, बाइबल में यशायाह नबी की पुस्तक में (आज से लगभग 2700 वर्ष पहले) लिखा गया था कि पृथ्वी गोलाकार है "यह वह है जो पृथ्वी के घेरे के ऊपर आकाशमण्डल पर विराजमान है; और पृथ्वी के रहने वाले टिड्डी के तुल्य है; जो आकाश को मलमल के समान फैलाता और ऐसा तान देता है जैसा रहने के लिये तम्बू ताना जाता है" (यशायाह 40:22)। 

आज से लगभग 2000 वर्ष पहले लिखी गई प्रभु यीशु मसीह की जीवनियों में इस बात का संकेत विद्यमान है कि पृथ्वी अपनी धुरी पर घूमती है। प्रभु यीशु मसीह ने अंत के दिनों के एक विशिष्ट समय के संदर्भ में कहा था "मैं तुम से कहता हूं, उस रात दो मनुष्य एक खाट पर होंगे, एक ले लिया जाएगा, और दूसरा छोड़ दिया जाएगा। दो स्त्रियां एक साथ चक्की पीसती होंगी, एक ले ली जाएगी, और दूसरी छोड़ दी जाएगी। जन खेत में होंगे एक ले लिया जाएगा और दूसरा छोड़ा जाएगा" (लूका 17:34-36)। एक ही साथ, एक ही घटना के लिए पृथ्वी के अलग अलग स्थानों पर रात, प्रातः (चक्की पीसना), और दिन-दोपहर (खेत में कार्य करना) के उल्लेख देना एक गोलाकार और घूमती हुई पृथ्वी के द्वारा ही संभव है। 

विज्ञान को यह 1970 के दशक में पता चला, जब समुद्र की गहराइयों के दबाव को सहन कर पाने वाली पनडुब्बियाँ और सागर तल के गहरे अंधकार में रौश्नी डालकर चित्र लेने वाले कैमरे बन गए, कि गहरे सागर तल में पानी के सोते भी हैं, जिनसे निकलकर पानी सागरों के जल के साथ मिलता रहता है; केवल वर्षा और नदियां ही सागरों के जल का स्त्रोत नहीं हैं। किन्तु आज से लगभग 4000 वर्ष पुरानी अय्यूब की पुस्तक में यह बात परमेश्वर ने अय्यूब के सामने यह बात रखी थी कि, "क्या तू कभी समुद्र के सोतों तक पहुंचा है, या गहिरे सागर की थाह में कभी चला फिरा है?" (अय्यूब 38:16); उस समय पर, जब अय्यूब या किसी अन्य के लिए सागर की अंधियारी गहराइयों में जाकर कुछ देख पाना कदापि संभव नहीं था। 

इसी प्रकार से इन गहरे सागरों की गहराइयों की खोज करने की क्षमता विकसित होने के बाद ही वैज्ञानिक यह भी जानने पाए के सागर तल में विशाल पर्वत तथा गहरे खाइयाँ भी हैं। किन्तु लगभग 750 ईस्वी पूर्व, अर्थात आज से लगभग 2750 वर्ष पहले लिखी गई योना नबी की पुस्तक में सागर के अंदर के पर्वत और उन पहाड़ों की 'जड़', उनकी भूमि के अंदर 'गड़हे', अर्थात सागर तल की खाइयों का उल्लेख है  "मैं जल से यहां तक घिरा हुआ था कि मेरे प्राण निकले जाते थे; गहरा सागर मेरे चारों ओर था, और मेरे सिर में सिवार लिपटा हुआ था। मैं पहाड़ों की जड़ तक पहुंच गया था; मैं सदा के लिये भूमि में बन्द हो गया था; तौभी हे मेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा, तू ने मेरे प्राणों को गड़हे में से उठाया है" (योना 2:5-6)।

बाइबल और विज्ञान की इस श्रृंखला को ज़ारी रखते हुए, अगले लेख में हम बाइबल और मनुष्य की सृष्टि के बारे कुछ बातों को देखेंगे। 

इस अद्भुत और विलक्षण पृथ्वी को अद्भुत और विलक्षण योजनाबद्ध रीति से रच कर, उस पर रहने के लिए आपकी भी रचना करने वाला, प्रेमी परमेश्वर है। उसे आपकी लालसा है, आप चाहे जैसे भी हों – भले-बुरे, अमीर-गरीब, शिक्षित-अशिक्षित, किसी भी जाति, समाज, रंग, देश, धर्म के मानने वाले या न मानने वाले, या परमेश्वर को न भी मानने वाले क्यों न हों, फिर भी उसे आप से प्रेम है, आपके जीवन की कोई भी बात या बुराई उसकी क्षमा की सीमा से बाहर नहीं है। चाहे आप अपने आप को कितना भी क्षमा के अयोग्य क्यों न समझते हों, वह तब भी आप से प्रेम करता है, आपको अपने साथ लेना चाहता है - यदि आप आने को तैयार हैं तो!। आपको केवल स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से अपने पापों को मानते हुए, उससे क्षमा माँगनी है, और अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित करना है। स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से की गई एक छोटी प्रार्थना, "हे  प्रभु यीशु मेरे पाप क्षमा कर, और मुझे अपनी शरण में लेकर अपनी आज्ञाकारी संतान बना, मुझे मेरे पापों से मुक्त करके अपने लिए उपयोगी जन बना" आपको अभी से लेकर अनन्तकाल के लिए परमेश्वर की संतान होकर उसके साथ स्वर्ग में निवास करने का आदर प्रदान कर देगी। क्या आप यह निर्णय करेंगे?

In the previous articles, having seen the things written in the Bible thousands of years ago about creation, Astronomy, and Space, in the last article we had begun to consider some scientific facts written in the Bible about the earth being able to sustain life, things which science has recognized recently, and also only recently has understood their importance. We had seen that if all of these things had not been present together simultaneously, and in the form they are, then life would not have been possible on earth; because they could not have gradually ‘developed’ to be in the appropriate form, one or two or few at a time, because by the time one or two or some developed to the required form for sustaining life, the others would have changed, and the origin of life would have remained impossible. Therefore, not only was it mandatory for all the right conditions to have been present simultaneously, but also that no change or development should have been happening till life could originate - which is absolutely contrary to the very basis of evolution which requires a gradual on-going development - and therefore if this were to happen, then evolution could not have happened. We had also seen that mathematically, the probability of all these things being present in the required form, all at the same time just by chance is so very low that it is considered a mathematical impossibility. But the Bible tells us that it was not by chance, rather God had minutely planned and executed it all, to create and sustain life on earth. 

Today, we will consider some other such wonderful Biblical things related to the earth that are worth pondering over.

Whereas the mythology of other religions and cultures states that the earth is carried by an animal or some man, the book of Job in the Bible, which was written about 2000 BC, i.e., about 4000 years from today, clearly states that the earth hangs loosely in the void of space: "He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing." (Job 26:7).

In the olden times, while the prevailing belief, and also the belief of science formerly, was that the earth is flat, the book of the prophet Isaiah in the Bible (written about 2700 years ago) wrote that the earth is spherical "It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in." (Isaiah 40:22).

In the biographies of Lord Jesus Christ, written about 2000 years ago, there is an indication that the earth rotates on its axis. The Lord Jesus Christ said in reference to a specific event and time of the last days, "I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.” (Luke 17:34-36) It is only possible to refer to the events occurring simultaneously at different places on the earth as night, morning (mill grinding), and day-afternoon (field work), i.e., in different time zones, only by a spherical and rotating earth.

Science discovered in the 1970s, when submarines capable of withstanding the pressure of the depths of the ocean and cameras that took pictures by lighting up the deep darkness of the ocean floor, that there are also springs of water in the deep ocean floor, from which the water comes out and mixes with the water of the oceans. Rain and rivers on the surface of the earth are not the only source of water of the oceans. But in the book of Job, at a time when it was impossible for Job or anyone else to go into the dark depths of the ocean to see anything, about 4000 years ago from today, God had said this to Job, "Have you entered the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in search of the depths?" (Job 38:16).

Similarly, only after developing the ability to explore the depths of these deep seas, were the scientists able to know that there are huge mountains and deep trenches in the ocean floor. But in the book of the prophet Jonah, written about 750 AD, i.e. about 2750 years ago, there is mention of the mountains inside the ocean and the 'root' of those mountains, the 'pits' inside their land, that is, the trenches of the ocean floor. “The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head. I went down to the moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed behind me forever; Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O Lord, my God." (Jonah 2:5-6).

Having created this wonderful and astounding earth in a wonderful, intricately and precisely planned manner, the Creator, the loving God, has also created and put you on earth to live on it. He desires to have fellowship with you, irrespective of whether you are good or bad, rich-poor, educated-uneducated, your caste, society, color, or country; you may be a believer or non-believer in God - no matter what, yet He loves you, nothing in your life, nothing, however deplorable or evil it may be in your own eyes or in the eyes of the world, absolutely nothing is beyond the limits of His forgiveness for you. No matter how unforgivable you feel, he still loves you, wants you to have fellowship with him - i.e., if you're willing and voluntarily are ready to come to Him! All you have to do is to voluntarily and sincerely confess your sins, ask Him for forgiveness, and surrender your life to Him. A short prayer of true heartfelt repentance, said voluntarily and sincerely, "Lord Jesus forgive my sins, take me under your shelter and make me your obedient child, free me from my sins and make me a useful man" will make you a child of God, a member of God’s family, from now to eternity; and as a child of God, will give you the honor of living in heaven with Him. Will you make this decision and take this step for your own benefit?

सृष्टि और अंतरिक्ष से संबंधित बाइबल में लिखी बातों को से देखने के बाद, पृथ्वी से संबंधित बाइबल में लिखी कुछ वैज्ञानिक बातों को देखते हैं, जिन्हें विज्ञान के जानने से पहले ही परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन में लिखवा दिया था। साथ ही हम यह भी देखेंगे कि पृथ्वी को लेकर जो बाइबल के बारे में प्रचलित गलत धारणाएं हैं, वे निराधार और झूठ हैं; बाइबल ऐसा कुछ नहीं कहती है जैसा उसके विषय गलत फैलाया जाता रहा है।  

पृथ्वी पर जीवन अनायास अथवा आकस्मिक ही नहीं पनप गया। परमेश्वर ने पृथ्वी को एक बहुत योजनाबद्ध तरीके से बनाया है। पृथ्वी की भीतरी, सतही, वायुमंडलीय रचना, आकाश, और अंतरिक्ष में उसकी स्थिति, तथा पृथ्वी पर इन सब बातों के प्रभाव, ये सभी बातें बहुत ही बारीकी से रचे और स्थिर किए गए हैं, जिससे जीवन, विशेषकर मानवीय जीवन, इस पृथ्वी पर संभव हो सके। पृथ्वी की संरचना और सूर्य से उसकी दूरी, तथा उसकी धुरी का सही 23.5 डिग्री का झुकाव जीवन को बनाए रखने के लिए उपयुक्त है। यदि सूर्य से दूरी थोड़ी सी भी बढ़ जाए, तो पृथ्वी पर ठंड बहुत हो जाएगी, तथा जल जम जाएगा, जिससे जीवन संभव नहीं रहेगा; यदि पृथ्वी की दूरी सूर्य के थोड़ी सी भी निकट हो जाए, तो गर्मी बहुत बढ़ जाएगी और पानी भाप कर उड़ जाएगा, और जीवन संभव नहीं होगा; सूर्य से इस उपयुक्त दूरी के क्षेत्र को “Goldilocks Zone” या “निवास योग्य क्षेत्र” कहते हैं। पृथ्वी की धुरी का यह सही झुकाव ही, पृथ्वी पर मौसम उत्पन्न करता है, जिससे जीव-जन्तुओं और वनस्पतियों की विविधता तथा जीवन के लिए सहायता, साधन और उपयुक्त वातावरण बना रहता है; यदि यह झुकाव थोड़ा सा भी भिन्न होगा तो वातावरण और मौसम पर होने वाले प्रभाव जीवन को सम्भव नहीं होने देंगे। इसी प्रकार पृथ्वी की भीतरी रचना - जिसमें सही प्रकार की धातुओं का सही मिश्रण और पिघले हुए होने की स्थिति, उसके चारों ओर बना हुआ उसका चुंबकीय क्षेत्र उत्पन्न करता है, जो सूर्य से आने वाली प्रचण्ड सोलर विंड से हमारे वातावरण की रक्षा करता है, धरती की सतह पर ज़ारी अनेकों परस्पर सम्बन्धित एवं एक दूसरे पर निर्भर रहने वाली गतिविधियां उसे जीवन के लिए उपयुक्त दशा में रखती हैं। पृथ्वी के चारों ओर के वातावरण की सही रचना उसे जीवन के लिए उपयुक्त बनाते हैं। चंद्रमा तथा अन्य ग्रहों के बिलकुल सही आकार के होने और सटीक दूरी पर होने से उनके गुरुत्वाकर्षण बल के द्वारा पृथ्वी को मिलने वाली स्थिरता तथा सुरक्षा, आदि भी उसे जीवन के लिए विशिष्ट और उपयुक्त बनाते हैं। पृथ्वी की रचना और जीवन के योग्य होने के लिए विशेषताओं का वर्णन, जिसे वैज्ञानिकों ने पिछले कुछ समयों से समझना आरंभ किया है, यहाँ पर बता पाने के लिए बहुत बड़ा है। 

    बाइबल में यशायाह नबी (सेवकाई का काल लगभग 700 ईस्वी पूर्व, या आज से लगभग 2700 वर्ष पूर्व) और यिर्मयाह नबी (सेवकाई का काल लगभग 600 ईस्वी पूर्व, या आज से लगभग 2600 वर्ष पूर्व) की पुस्तकों से हम कुछ पदों को देखेंगे जो यह प्रकट कर देते हैं कि पृथ्वी को परमेश्वर ने मनुष्य को बसाने के लिए बनाया था “क्योंकि यहोवा जो आकाश का सृजनहार है, वही परमेश्वर है; उसी ने पृथ्वी को रचा और बनाया, उसी ने उसको स्थिर भी किया; उसने उसे सुनसान रहने के लिये नहीं परन्तु बसने के लिये उसे रचा है। वही यों कहता है, मैं यहोवा हूं, मेरे सिवा दूसरा और कोई नहीं है” (यशायाह 45:18); और “अपने अपने स्वामी से यों कहो कि पृथ्वी को और पृथ्वी पर के मनुष्यों और पशुओं को अपनी बड़ी शक्ति और बढ़ाई हुई भुजा के द्वारा मैं ने बनाया, और जिस किसी को मैं चाहता हूँ उसी को मैं उन्हें दिया करता हूँ” (यिर्मयाह 27:5)। परमेश्वर द्वारा पृथ्वी को मनुष्यों के निवास के लिए बनाए जाने, उसे इस उद्देश्य के लिए स्थिर या उपयुक्त करने, और इसके लिए आकाश को उसके ऊपर 'तानने' के संदर्भ में बाइबल के कुछ अन्य पदों को भी देखिए: यशायाह 45:12; यिर्मयाह 10:12; 32:17; 51:15। यह सब तब लिखा गया जब न विज्ञान था, न खगोल-शास्त्र और खगोल-विद्या थी, और न ही आज के समान दूरबीन, उपकरण और कंप्यूटर थे जिनके द्वारा इन जटिल बातों का विश्लेषण और आँकलन किया जा सकता। किन्तु परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन बाइबल में यह आज से लगभग 2700 -2600 वर्ष पहले ही लिखवा दिया था कि उसने पृथ्वी की विशेष रीति से मनुष्य के निवास के लिए रचना की है; और उसे इस उद्देश्य के लिए स्थिर भी किया।

अगले लेख में हम इसी विषय को ज़ारी रखेंगे, और बाइबल में लिखी पृथ्वी से सम्बन्धित कुछ अन्य बातों को देखेंगे। परन्तु उपरोक्त बातें, जिन्हें विज्ञान ने न केवल हाल ही में पहचाना है, वरन् उन के महत्व को भी हाल ही में समझा है। ये सभी ऐसी महत्वपूर्ण और अनिवार्य बातें हैं जो कि यदि ये सभी न केवल एक साथ बल्कि सभी साथ ही जीवन को संभव करने वाले स्वरूप में नहीं होती, इन में से एक या दो भी थोड़ी सी भी इधर या उधर होती, तो पृथ्वी पर जीवन सम्भव नहीं था। ये बारी-बारी कुछ-कुछ करके भी जीवन के लीये उपयुक्त स्वरूप में नहीं आसक्ती थीं, क्योंकि जब तक कुछ उस उचित स्वरूप में आती, तब तक जारी बदलाव के कारण, अन्य उस स्वरूप से हट चुकी होती, जिससे जीवन असंभव ही रहता। इसलिये, इनका एक साथ होना, और इनमें किसी भी परिवर्तन का न होना अनिवार्य था; तब ही ऐसे हालत हो सकते थे जिन में जीवन बनता और विकसित होता। अब, यह एक असम्भव स्थिति को जन्म देता है; क्रमिक विकासवाद निरन्तर ज़ारी परिवर्तन पर आधारित है, और आरंभिक स्थिति में, ज़ारी परिवर्तन जीवन के उत्पन्न होने लायक स्थिति को कभी होने नहीं देता; तो फिर समाधान कैसे सम्भव हुआ? विशेषकर तब जब इन में से एक या दो या थोड़ी सी बातों का अनायास ही, आकस्मिक रीति से हो जाना गणित की सम्भावना हो सकती है; किन्तु इन सभी बातों के एक साथ ही अनायास हो जाने की गणित के अनुसार सम्भावना इतनी कम है, कि गणित के अनुसार उसे असम्भव की श्रेणी में रखा जाता है। किन्तु जैसा हमने देखा है, बाइबल बताती है कि परमेश्वर ने योजना बद्ध तरीके से पृथ्वी की हर बात को जीवन के लिये निर्धारित, स्थापित, और कार्यान्वित किया, और पृथ्वी पर जीवन उत्पन्न किया। अर्थात विज्ञान बाइबल की बात को नकारता नहीं है, उसका समर्थन करता है, और तथ्यों के भेस में प्रचलित की जाने वाली काल्पनिक कहानियों की वास्तविकता को उजागर कर देता है। 

इस अद्भुत और विलक्षण पृथ्वी को अद्भुत और विलक्षण योजनाबद्ध रीति से रच कर, उस पर रहने के लिए आपकी भी रचना करने वाला, प्रेमी परमेश्वर है। उसे आपकी लालसा है, आप चाहे जैसे भी हों – भले-बुरे, अमीर-गरीब, शिक्षित-अशिक्षित, किसी भी जाति, समाज, रंग, देश, धर्म के मानने वाले या न मानने वाले, या परमेश्वर को न भी मानने वाले क्यों न हों, फिर भी उसे आप से प्रेम है, आपके जीवन की कोई भी बात या बुराई उसकी क्षमा की सीमा से बाहर नहीं है। चाहे आप अपने आप को कितना भी क्षमा के अयोग्य क्यों न समझते हों, वह तब भी आप से प्रेम करता है, आपको अपने साथ लेना चाहता है - यदि आप आने को तैयार हैं तो!। आपको केवल स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से अपने पापों को मानते हुए, उससे क्षमा माँगनी है, और अपना जीवन उसे समर्पित करना है। स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से की गई एक छोटी प्रार्थना, "हे  प्रभु यीशु मेरे पाप क्षमा कर, और मुझे अपनी शरण में लेकर अपनी आज्ञाकारी संतान बना, मुझे मेरे पापों से मुक्त करके अपने लिए उपयोगी जन बना" आपको अभी से लेकर अनन्तकाल के लिए परमेश्वर की संतान होकर उसके साथ स्वर्ग में निवास करने का आदर प्रदान कर देगी। क्या आप यह निर्णय करेंगे?

Bible and the Earth Part - 1

After considering the things related to the universe, astronomy, and space written in the Bible, let's look at some of the scientific things written in the Bible about the earth; things which God had written in his Word even before science knew about them. Simultaneously, we will also see that the popular misconceptions about the Bible regarding the earth are actually baseless and false; The Bible doesn't say anything like it has been accused of.

Life on earth did not develop spontaneously or accidentally. God created the earth in a very planned way. Earth's interior construction, its surface activities and workings, the atmospheric, sky, and space conditions, and the mutual interactions and effects of all these things on Earth and life on earth have been very precisely designed and stabilized, so that life, especially human life, is possible on this earth. The structure of the Earth and its distance from the Sun, and the inclination of its axis are suitable for sustaining life. If the distance from the Sun increases a little bit, the earth will become very cold, and the water will freeze, making life impossible. If the Earth's distance becomes closer to the Sun a little bit, then the heat will increase greatly and the water will evaporate, and again life will not be possible. The region at this appropriate distance from the Sun is called the "Goldilocks Zone" or the "Habitable Zone" (Goldilocks Zone). The exact 23.5 degree tilt of the Earth's axis produces the exact weather patterns on the Earth, which provides support, means and a suitable environment for the diversity of flora and fauna and for life; any alteration of the tilt will create atmospheric and weather conditions destructive to life. Similarly, the inner composition of the Earth - the right  kind of metals in the right kings of molten state produces magnetic shield against the solar-wind for the earth’s atmosphere, the numerous interdependent and inter-related natural activities going on, on the surface of the Earth keep it capable of supporting and sustaining life. The right composition of the earth’s atmosphere around it for supporting and sustaining life, the stability and protection it gets by the gravitational force of the right sized Moon and other planets - all placed at the precise distance they need to be for this to happen, and many other such features and factors operative in and around the earth, are all very precise and appropriate for sustaining and nurturing life; any small variations in any of these factors will render the earth incapable of permitting life. The details of Earth's structure, composition, and various characteristics that render it capable of sustaining life, are things which scientists have recently begun to understand, and are quite voluminous to describe here. 

In the Bible, from the books of the prophet Isaiah (whose ministry was in about 700 AD, i.e. about 2700 years ago) and the prophet Jeremiah (the period of whose ministry was in about 600 AD, or about 2600 years ago), we have some verses that reveal that the earth was purposely created by God to be inhabited by man “For thus says the Lord, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited: “I am the Lord, and there is no other”.” (Isaiah 45:18); and "I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed proper to Me." (Jeremiah 27:5). Some other Bible verses regarding God's making the earth for human habitation, precisely establishing it and equipping it for this purpose, and 'stretching' the heavens over it for this are: Isaiah 45:12; Jeremiah 10:12; 32:17; 51:15. Bear in mind that all of this was written when there was no science, no astronomy, and no telescopes, instruments and computers like today, by which these complex things could have been seen, recognized, analyzed and assessed. But God had them written in his Word the Bible, about 2700-2600 years ago, making it clear that he had specially created the earth for human habitation; And also established it for this purpose.

We will continue with this topic in the next article, and consider some other things written in the Bible about the earth. But the above mentioned things, that science has learnt recently and also has realized their importance only recently. These are such important and essential things that had they all not been together simultaneously, if only one or two of them had been slightly off-course, then life would not have been possible on earth. They could not have developed gradually, one or two, or few at a time, since by the time some came to the form of being able to sustain life, due to the ongoing change and development, the others would have changed, making life an impossibility. Therefore, not only did they have to be present simultaneously, but there should also have been no on-going change, to create conditions where life could begin and be sustained. Now, this creates an impossible situation; evolution requires a constant on-going change and development, and in the imagined initial stages of the earth, the constant change and development would never have let things be together in a form where life could begin and develop; so how did things work out? More so, when Mathematically, the probability of one or two or a few of these things happening together unexpectedly or suddenly may be considered acceptable. But the statistical probability of all of them happening and coming together by chance is so very low, that it is seen as a mathematical impossibility. But as we have seen above, the Bible tells us that God minutely planned each and every thing, and implemented them, so that there could be life on earth. In other words, science does not contradict, but supports the Bible; and exposes the falsehood of imaginary stories being popularized as ‘facts.’

Having created this wonderful and astounding earth in a wonderful, intricately and precisely planned manner, the Creator, the loving God, has also created and put you on earth to live on it. He desires you, however you may be – good or bad, rich-poor, educated-uneducated, you may be from any caste, society, of any color, or country; you may be a believer or non-believer in God - no matter what, yet He loves you, nothing in your life, nothing, howsoever base or bad it may be in your own eyes or in the eyes of the world, absolutely nothing is beyond the limits of His forgiveness for you. No matter how unforgivable you feel, he still loves you, wants to take you with him - if you're ready to come! All you have to do is to voluntarily and sincerely confess your sins, ask Him for forgiveness, and surrender your life to Him. A short prayer of true heartfelt repentance, said voluntarily and sincerely, "Lord Jesus forgive my sins, take me under your shelter and make me your obedient child, free me from my sins and make me a useful man" will make you a child of God, a member of God’s family, from now to eternity; and as a child of God, will give you the honor of living in heaven with Him.     हम पिछले लेखों से देखते आ रहे हैं कि बालकों के समान अपरिपक्व मसीही विश्वासियों की एक पहचान यह भी है कि वे बहुत सरलता से भ्रामक शिक्षाओं द्वारा बहकाए तथा गलत बातों में भटकाए जाते हैं। इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं को शैतान और उस के दूत झूठे प्रेरित, धर्म के सेवक, और ज्योतिर्मय स्‍वर्गदूतों का रूप धारण कर के बताते और सिखाते हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11:13-15)। ये लोग, और उनकी शिक्षाएं, दोनों ही बहुत आकर्षक, रोचक, और ज्ञानवान, यहाँ तक कि भक्तिपूर्ण और श्रद्धापूर्ण भी प्रतीत हो सकती हैं, किन्तु साथ ही उनमें अवश्य ही बाइबल की बातों के अतिरिक्त भी बातें डाली हुई होती हैं। जैसा परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रेरित पौलुस के द्वारा 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 में लिखवाया है, यदि कोई तुम्हारे पास आकर, किसी दूसरे यीशु को प्रचार करे, जिस का प्रचार हम ने नहीं किया: या कोई और आत्मा तुम्हें मिले; जो पहिले न मिला था; या और कोई सुसमाचार जिसे तुम ने पहिले न माना था, तो तुम्हारा सहना ठीक होता, इन भ्रामक शिक्षाओं और गलत उपदेशों के, मुख्यतः तीन विषय, होते हैं - प्रभु यीशु मसीह, पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार। साथ ही इस पद में सच्चाई को पहचानने और शैतान के झूठ से बचने के लिए एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी दी गई है, कि इन तीनों विषयों के बारे में जो यथार्थ और सत्य हैं, वे सब वचन में पहले से ही बता और लिखवा दिए गए हैं। इसलिए बाइबल से देखने, जाँचने, तथा वचन के आधार पर शिक्षाओं को परखने के द्वारा सही और गलत की पहचान करना कठिन नहीं है; जो कुछ भी वचन में पहले से नहीं दिया गया है, वह सब झूठ है और उनका प्रचार करने वाले शैतानी भ्रामक शिक्षाओं को सिखाने वाले हैं।

    पिछले लेखों में हमने इन गलत शिक्षा देने वाले लोगों के द्वारा, प्रभु यीशु से संबंधित सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं को देखने के बाद, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित सामान्यतः बताई और सिखाई जाने वाली गलत शिक्षाओं की वास्तविकता को वचन की बातों से देखना आरंभ किया है। हम देख चुके हैं कि प्रत्येक सच्चे मसीही विश्वासी के नया जन्म या उद्धार पाते ही, तुरंत उसके उद्धार पाने के पल से ही परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा अपनी संपूर्णता में आकर उसके अंदर निवास करने लगता है, और उसी में बना रहता है, उसे कभी छोड़ कर नहीं जाता है; और बाइबल के अनुसार इसी को पवित्र आत्मा से भरना या पवित्र आत्मा से बपतिस्मा पाना भी कहते हैं। वचन स्पष्ट है कि जैसा ये लोग प्रचार करते और सिखाते हैं, उसके विपरीत, पवित्र आत्मा से भरना या उससे बपतिस्मा पाना कोई दूसरा या अतिरिक्त अनुभव नहीं है, वरन उद्धार के साथ ही सच्चे मसीही विश्वासी में पवित्र आत्मा का आकर निवास करना ही है। इन गलत शिक्षकों की एक और बहुत प्रचलित और बल पूर्वक कही जाने वाले बात है “अन्य-भाषाओं” में बोलना, और उन लोगों के द्वारा “अन्य-भाषाओं” को अलौकिक भाषाएं बताना, और परमेश्वर के वचन के दुरुपयोग के द्वारा इससे संबंधित कई और गलत शिक्षाओं को सिखाना। इसके बारे में भी हम देख चुके हैं कि यह भी एक ऐसी गलत शिक्षा है जिसका वचन से कोई समर्थन या आधार नहीं है। प्रेरितों 2 अध्याय में जो अन्य भाषाएं बोली गईं, वे पृथ्वी ही की भाषाएं और उनकी बोलियाँ थीं; कोई अलौकिक भाषा नहीं। हमने यह भी देखा था कि वचन में इस शिक्षा का भी कोई आधार या समर्थन नहीं है कि “अन्य-भाषाएं” प्रार्थना की भाषाएं हैं। इस गलत शिक्षा के साथ जुड़ी हुई इन लोगों की एक और गलत शिक्षा है कि “अन्य-भाषाएं” बोलना ही पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने का प्रमाण है, जिसके भी झूठ होने और परमेश्वर के वचन के दुरुपयोग पर आधारित होने को हमने पिछले लेख में देखा है।

    आज हम अन्य-भाषाएं बोलने से संबंधित कुछ अन्य गलत शिक्षाओं के बारे में देखेंगे। कुछ लोग अपनी इस बात को सही ठहराने के लिए कुछ और भी तर्क देते हैं:

क्या “अन्य भाषा” बोलना, बोलने का नहीं वरन सुनने का आश्चर्यकर्म था?
    कुछ का कहना है कि प्रेरितों 2:3-11 में आश्चर्यकर्म बोलने का ही नहीं सुनने का भी था। अर्थात, प्रभु के शिष्य तो पृथ्वी के बाहर की अलौकिक भाषाएं बोल रहे थे, किन्तु एकत्रित यहूदियों को वह सुन उनकी अपनी स्थानीय भाषाओं और बोलियों में रहा था।

    यदि ऐसा था, तो फिर आज ऐसा क्यों नहीं होता है? आज क्यों सुनने वालों को केवल कुछ निरर्थक आवाज़ें ही सुनाई देते हैं? आज जब ये लोग और उनके अनुयायी बड़े जोर-शोर से अपनी “अन्य-भाषाएं” बोलते हैं तो क्यों लोगों को न तो उनकी अपनी भाषा सुनाई देती है और न ही कुछ समझ में आता है कि वे कह क्या रहे हैं! औरों को तो क्या, स्वयं बोलने वालों को भी पता नहीं होता है कि उन्होंने क्या कहा है!

क्या आज की यह “अन्य भाषाएं” पृथ्वी के किसी भिन्न स्थान की भाषाएं हैं? 
    कुछ अन्य कहते हैं कि भाषाएं पृथ्वी ही की हैं, किन्तु किसी अन्य अनजाने देश अथवा स्थान की, जिसे उन बोलने वालों ने कभी नहीं सीखा या जाना, किन्तु पवित्र आत्मा उन से उन भाषाओं में बुलवाता है। इसे स्वीकार करने में दो मुख्य समस्याएं हैं: पहली तो यह कि आज जब लोग “अन्य भाषा” बोलते हैं, तो उनके मुँह के उच्चारण, आवाजों में न तो किसी भाषा के समान कोई प्रवाह दिखता है, और न ही कोई शब्द कहे जाने का आभास होता है। वे थोड़ी सी आवाजों को ही हर बार, हर बात के लिए, हर समय बारंबार दोहराते रहते हैं, जो भाषा होने के अनुरूप कदापि नहीं है। दूसरी बात, आज के समय में उनका किसी अन्य स्थान की भाषा बोलने का क्या औचित्य अथवा उपयोग है; वह भी तब जब बोलने वाले उन परदेश के स्थानों पर न तो जाते हैं और न सेवकाई करते हैं? किसी को अपनी व्यक्तिगत प्रार्थना या आराधना करने के लिए, किसी अन्य स्थान की भाषा, जिसे न तो वह जानता है और न ही समझता है, बोलने की क्या आवश्यकता है? यदि व्यक्ति अपनी ही भाषा में प्रार्थना और आराधना नहीं कर सकता है, तो किसी अन्य भाषा में, जिसे वह नहीं जानता है, कैसे कर सकेगा; और वह कैसे जानेगा कि उसने क्या प्रार्थना या आराधना की है, परमेश्वर से क्या मांगा है? और पवित्र आत्मा उससे किसी अन्य भाषा में प्रार्थना और आराधना क्यों करवाएगा; ऐसा करने से क्या अतिरिक्त लाभ होगा? यह और भी विचित्र और हास्यास्पद हो जाता है जब यह ध्यान करें कि पृथ्वी के किसी और स्थान पर उस “अन्य भाषा” को स्वाभाविक रीति से बोलने वाले लोग, इसी प्रकार से, अपनी प्रार्थना और आराधना के लिए किसी और ही भाषा का प्रयोग करते होंगे! तो जो भाषा उनके अपने लिए प्रभावी नहीं है, वह किसी दूसरे के लिए प्रभावी कैसे हो सकती है?

    अगले लेख में हम अन्य भाषा बोलने से सम्बन्धित एक और भ्रामक तथा झूठी शिक्षा के बारे में देखेंगे।

    यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Some Other Wrong Teachings Regarding the Holy Spirit (1)

We have been seeing in the previous articles that one of the ways the childlike, immature Christian Believers can be identified is that they can very easily be deceived, beguiled and misled by wrong doctrines and false teachings. Satan and his followers bring in their wrong doctrines and misinterpretations of God’s Word through people who masquerade as apostles, ministers of righteousness, and angels of light (2 Corinthians 11:13-15). These deceptive people and their false messages, their teachings appear to be very attractive, interesting, knowledgeable, even very reverential and righteous; but there is always something or the other that is extra-Biblical or unBiblical mixed into them. These wrong teachings and false doctrines are mainly about three topics, as God the Holy Spirit got it written down through the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it! - the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel. In this verse a very important way to identify the false from the correct, discern between them, and escape from being beguiled by Satan is also given - that which is the truth about these three topics has already been given and written in God’s Word. Therefore, by cross-checking every teaching and doctrine from the Bible, the true and the false can be discerned; that which is not already present in God’s Word is false, and their preacher is a preacher of satanic deceptions.

In the previous articles, after seeing some commonly preached and taught false things about the Lord Jesus, we had started to look into the wrong things often taught and preached about the Holy Spirit. About the Holy Spirit, we have seen that every truly Born-Again Christian Believer automatically receives the Holy Spirit from God, at the very moment of his being saved. From that moment onwards, the Holy Spirit comes to reside in him in all His fullness, stays with him forever, never leaves him; and Biblically this is also known as being filled by the Holy Spirit or the baptism with the Holy Spirit. God's Word is very clear that unlike what these people preach and teach, filling with the Holy Spirit or baptism with the Holy Spirit are not separate or second experiences. Another very popular and emphatically stated wrong teaching of these preachers and teachers of deceptions is about “speaking in tongues”, their claim that the “tongues’ are super-natural languages, and some other related wrong teachings. Regarding this we have seen that these are also wrong teachings which have no support or affirmation from the Bible. The speaking in “tongues” in Acts 2 were the known and understood languages of the earth and not any super-natural languages. We also saw that quite unlike their claims, “tongues” are not any “prayer language” - the Bible does not offer any support to this. Also, in the last article we also saw how their emphatic claim that speaking in tongues is proof of receiving the Holy Spirit is also patently false and unBiblical; it is their concocted doctrine through misuse and misinterpretation of Biblical facts.

Today we will look at some other commonly preached things related to “speaking in tongues” through which they try to justify their wrong teachings and false doctrines about the Holy Spirit:

Was “speaking in tongues” a miracle of hearing, and not of speaking?

Some people say that the miracle of Acts 2:3-11 was one of hearing, and not of speaking; i.e., the disciples of the Lord Jesus were actually speaking supernatural languages, but the Jews gathered in Jerusalem were hearing and understanding what was being said in their own languages and dialects.

If it was so, then why does the same not happen today? Why is it that today people get to hear only gibberish - incomprehensible, meaningless sounds? These people very enthusiastically, dramatically, and loudly speak in their so-called “super-natural tongues”, but neither they themselves, nor any of the hearers understand or know what is being said. So how can this be the same Biblical phenomenon as was seen in Acts 2; even if it was to be a miracle of hearing?

Are these “tongues” being spoken today, the languages of some other region of the earth?

Some of the believers in “tongues” being “super-natural” claim that the “tongues” are languages of the earth, but of another region, a language which the speaker never learnt, but the Holy Spirit makes him speak in that language. There are two main problems in accepting this as true; firstly, today when these people “speak in tongues” then there is no flow or sense of words being spoken, as happens when anyone speaks in any language. These people keep repeating the same unintelligible sounds over and over again, for everything and whenever they “speak in tongues”, all of which is inconsistent with speaking in any language of any place. Secondly, is there any need, necessity, or rationale for their speaking in a language of another geographical location; that too when they have no ministry or work in the place of that language? Why would anyone need to pray or worship in a language of another location, a language he neither knows nor understands? If he cannot worship and pray in his own language which he knows, then how can he pray or worship in a language that he does not know? How will he know whether he has worshipped or prayed; if he prayed then what has he asked in prayer? Why would the Holy Spirit get him to worship or pray in another language; what extra benefit will he get by doing so? It becomes all the more absurd and ridiculous, when one thinks that the people of that other region will be praying and worshipping in some other language of the earth, and not their own; if their own native language was not effective enough for them to pray and worship in, then how will it become effective for this person who is praying and worshipping in their language? There is simply no sense in this explanation of “tongues”.

In the next article we will consider some more such deceptive and false teachings related to speaking in tongues.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
