    पिछले लेख में हमने देखना आरम्भ किया था कि परमेश्वर की आराधना के न केवल आत्मिक लाभ हैं, बल्कि भौतिक लाभ भी हैं। किन्तु इसे परमेश्वर से अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार कुछ प्राप्त करने के लिए, अथवा बाइबल के प्रतिकूल और भ्रष्ट “सुसमाचार द्वारा संपन्नता” की धारणा का समर्थन करने के लिए प्रयोग नहीं किया जा सकता है। हमने इस आराधना को समझने की श्रृंखला के आरंभिक लेखों में देखा था कि आराधना परमेश्वर को देना हैं और इस का एक स्वरूप परमेश्वर को भौतिक वस्तुएं अर्पित करना भी है। परमेश्वर का वचन हमें सिखाता है, “धोखा न खाओ, परमेश्वर ठट्ठों में नहीं उड़ाया जाता, क्योंकि मनुष्य जो कुछ बोता है, वही काटेगा” (गलातियों 6:7); और इसी बात को थोड़े से भिन्न रूप में, प्रभु के काम के लिए भौतिक वस्तुओं को देने के सन्दर्भ में इस प्रकार से कहा गया है “परन्तु बात तो यह है, कि जो थोड़ा बोता है वह थोड़ा काटेगा भी; और जो बहुत बोता है, वह बहुत काटेगा” (2 कुरिन्थियों 9:6)। दूसरे शब्दों में, चाहे आत्मिक लाभ हों या शारीरिक अथवा भौतिक लाभ, प्रभु से मिलने वाला परिणाम, हमारे द्वारा मात्रा एवं गुणवत्ता में प्रभु को दिए जाने पर ही निर्भर है।

    जैसा हम पहले देख चुके हैं, प्रार्थना के द्वारा हम उतना ही प्राप्त करने की आशा रख सकते हैं, जितना हमारे विचारों और हमारी समझ के अनुसार हमारी आवश्यकताओं की सीमा है। किन्तु आराधना, अर्थात विभिन्न रीतियों से परमेश्वर को अपना प्रेम और आदर अर्पित करना, हमें हमारी कल्पना की सीमाओं से परे आशीषित करता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 2:9)।

    मैं यह अपने व्यक्तिगत अनुभव, तथा परमेश्वर के अनेकों अन्य लोगों के अनुभवों के आधार पर कहता हूँ - परमेश्वर को महिमा दीजिए, वह आपको महिमान्वित करवाएगा, उसे आदर दीजिए, वह आपका आदर करवाएगा, उसका ध्यान रखिए, वह आपका ध्यान रखवाएगा, उसे श्रद्धा और भक्ति दीजिए, वह आपके प्रति लोगों में सम्मान और श्रद्धा उत्पन्न करेगा, उसकी प्रशंसा और गुणानुवाद कीजिए, वह आपकी प्रशंसा करवाएगा, उसे अपना समय और योग्यताएँ दीजिए, वह आपको और अधिक समय और योग्यता देगा, उसे अपने जीवन में प्राथमिकता दीजिए, वह आपको प्राथमिकता देगा, आप उसके लिए कार्य कीजिए, वह आपके लिए कार्य करेगा, आप पृथ्वी पर उसकी आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति कीजिए, और वह पृथ्वी तथा स्वर्ग दोनों स्थानों पर आपकी आवश्यकताएँ पूरी करेगा। यह सभी कठिन और समझने से बाहर प्रतीत हो सकता है; किन्तु विश्वास के साथ आगे बढ़िए, करना आरंभ कीजिए, और परमेश्वर आपको कभी निराश नहीं करेगा; उसने स्वयं ही कहा है, “परखकर देखो कि यहोवा कैसा भला है! क्या ही धन्य है वह पुरुष जो उसकी शरण लेता है” (भजन 34:8)।

    परमेश्वर का अपने लोगों के लिए हमेशा ही यह वायदा रहा है कि उनके सोचने-समझने से बढ़कर बहुतायत का प्रतिफल उसने उनके लिए तैयार रखा हुआ है, जो परमेश्वर के निर्देशों के अनुसार उसके लिए कार्य करते हैं। जब परमेश्वर ने इस्राएलियों को अपनी व्यवस्था और निर्देश दिए थे, तो उस व्यवस्था का एक महत्वपूर्ण भाग परमेश्वर के समक्ष, उसके भवन में उसके लोगों के द्वारा उनके दशमांश और भौतिक समृद्धि के भाग को लाना, तथा निर्धनों की आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करना था; अर्थात परमेश्वर को देना, भौतिक वस्तुओं को अर्पित करने के द्वारा उसकी आराधना करना था। और यदि यह खराई से किया जाये, तो परमेश्वर का वायदा है कि प्रतिफल के रूप में, उन्हें हमेशा उसकी सुरक्षा, सहायता, स्वास्थ्य, और भरपूरी के साथ उनकी सभी आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति होती रहेगी।

    किन्तु इसके साथ ही हम इस्राएल के इतिहास से यह भी देखते हैं कि जब भी परमेश्वर के लोगों ने अपनी भेंट, बलिदानों, और आराधना में केवल औपचारिकता पूरा करने के लिये, परमेश्वर को उत्तम वस्तुओं तथा प्रथम-फलों के स्थान पर खराब या घटिया वस्तुएँ भेंट बलिदानों में अर्पित कीं, उनके साथ परिणाम बुरा ही हुआ। इसे हम पुराने नियम की अन्तिम पुस्तक, मलाकी में परमेश्वर के द्वारा कही गई बातों (मलाकी 1:6-10) से स्पष्ट देख सकते हैं। इस भाग में ऐसा करने को परमेश्वर ने उसका निरादर और अपमान करना, बुरा करना, उसे अशुद्ध ठहराना, आदि कहता है। फिर पद 9 में इसके बारे में उन्हें चेतावनी देता है, और पद 10 में व्यर्थ भेंट लाने की बजाए, मंदिर को ही बन्द कर देने के लिये कहता है। और इसके बाद, नए नियम का आरम्भ होने तक, लगभग 400 वर्ष तक, फिर परमेश्वर ने इस्राएल से कोई बात नहीं की, कोई निर्देश नहीं दिये, कोई नबी नहीं भेजा, उनकी ढिठाई के कारण शान्त होकर पीछे हट गया।

    अगले लेख से हम बाइबल में दिये गये इस्राएल के इतिहास से इन बातों के कुछ ठोस उदाहरण देखेंगे, और परमेश्वर की इस विश्वासयोग्यता के बारे में समझेंगे।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए – उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

    In the last article we had begun seeing that worshipping God not only has spiritual benefits, but also has material benefits as well. But this cannot be used to try to manipulate God into doing or providing certain things according to our fancy; nor is it meant to support the UnBiblical and corrupt concept generally known as “the prosperity gospel.” We had seen in the initial part of this series on Understanding Worship, that a form of worship, i.e., of giving to God, is through offering material things to God. God’s Word also teaches: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7); and this is stated in a slightly different form, in context of giving out of material possessions for the Lord’s work as, “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully” (2 Corinthians 9:6). In other words, whether spiritually or materially, our input for the Lord, in quantity as well as quality determines the output we will receive from the Lord.

    As we have seen earlier, through prayer we will only get that which is within the limits of our thoughts and perceived needs; but worship, i.e., expressing our love and adoration for the Lord God in various ways, will enrich and bless us beyond the limits of our imagination (1 Corinthians 2:9).

    I say this from personal experience, and on the basis of experiences of many other people of God – give glory to God, He will give glory back to you; give honor, get back honor; give respect, get back respect; give awe and reverence, get back awe and reverence; exalt Him, He will exalt you; give Him of your time and talents, He will give time and talents back into your lives; give Him priority, He will provide priority for you; work for Him, He will work for you; fulfill His needs on earth, He will fulfill your needs not only on earth but in heaven as well. All this may seem difficult and inexplicable; but step out in faith, start doing it, and God will not let you down; for He Himself has said “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” (Psalm 34:8).

    An abundant-beyond-belief return on any investments kept ready and available by God to give to those who work for Him as per His instructions, has always been an assurance from God for His people. When God gave His Law to the Israelites, a significant section of the law was on bringing tithes, offerings, first-fruits of produce and of material increase to the house of the Lord, and on meeting the needs of the poor; i.e., giving to God, worshipping God through material things. And when this was done sincerely, then as reward, He has promised to give them continual safety, help, health, and meeting all their needs in abundance.

    But along with this, we also see from the history of Israel, that whenever the people of God started to offer poor quality things instead of the first-fruits and the best, as had been instructed, just to fulfill a formality, the outcome was always bad. We see this very clearly from the book of Malachi, the last book of the Old Testament, from Malachi 1:6-10. We see in these verses that God calls doing this as dishonoring and despising Him, defiling Him, doing evil, etc. Then, in verse 9 He warns them for doing this, in verse 10 says that instead of bringing vain offerings, it is better to shut the Temple. Then after this, till the beginning of the New Testament there is a 400 years period where God stopped communicating with Israel, gave no instructions, sent no prophets, because of their stubbornness, He became silent and stepped back from them.

    From the next article we will start seeing some solid examples about this, and understand God's faithfulness on this count.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then to ensure your eternal life and heavenly rewards, take a decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now. Wherever there is surrender and obedience towards the Lord Jesus, the Lord’s blessings and safety are also there. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so – the decision is yours.

हम ने 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:4 से देखा है कि शैतान मुख्यतः तीन विषयों के बारे में भ्रामक शिक्षाएं और गलत सिद्धान्त फैलाता और सिखाता है। ये तीन विषय हैं, प्रभु यीशु मसीह, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा, और सुसमाचार। पिछले कुछ लेखों में हम ने शैतान द्वारा फैलाई जाने वाली प्रभु यीशु से सम्बन्धित गलत शिक्षाओं के बारे में देखा था। पिछले लेख में हमने इस पद में दिए गए दूसरे विषय, पवित्र आत्मा, के बारे में शैतान द्वारा फैलाई जाने वाली गलत धारणाओं और शिक्षाओं के बारे में देखना आरम्भ किया है। आज हम बाइबल में परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में बाइबल में दी गई बातों के आधार पर, पवित्र आत्मा के बार में फैलाई जाने वाली गलत धारणाओं और शिक्षाओं के बारे में आग देखेंगे।

प्रभु यीशु ने अपने क्रूस पर चढ़ाए जाने से पहले अपने शिष्यों को आश्वस्त किया था कि उन्हें पवित्र आत्मा एक सहायक के रूप में दिया जाएगा (यूहन्ना 14:16, 26), और परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा प्रभु की ओर से सहायक के रूप में प्रत्येक वास्तव में उद्धार पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी को दिया जाता है। किन्तु प्रभु की इस आशीष को ये गलत शिक्षा फैलाने और सिखाने वाले लोग मनुष्यों द्वारा नियंत्रित और निर्देशित करने का प्रयास करते हैं। परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल की स्पष्ट शिक्षाओं के विरुद्ध, उनकी एक मुख्य गलत शिक्षा है कि मसीही विश्वासियों को पवित्र आत्मा उद्धार पाते ही नहीं मिलता है, वरन उसके लिए प्रतीक्षा, प्रार्थनाएं और प्रयास करने पड़ते हैं। और फिर ये झूठे प्रेरित और शिक्षक अपने उन प्रयासों, प्रार्थनाओं, विधियों को बताते हैं, जो उनके अनुसार पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने के लिए आवश्यक हैं, और बाइबल के हवालों को संदर्भ से बाहर दुरुपयोग करके, अपनी बात को सही ठहराने के प्रयास करते हैं। साथ ही पवित्र आत्मा पाने के लिए प्रतीक्षा करने के लिए वे प्रेरितों 1:4-8 का भी हवाला देते हैं, इस हवाले का संदर्भ के बाहर दुरुपयोग करते हैं।

प्रेरितों 1:4-8 में प्रभु यीशु ने अपने स्वर्ग पर उठाए जाने से पहले शिष्यों को आज्ञा दी कि वे यरूशलेम को न छोड़ें, वरन वहीं बने रहकर परमेश्वर पिता द्वारा जो प्रतिज्ञा दी गई है, और जिसकी चर्चा प्रभु यीशु ने पहले उन से की है, उसकी प्रतीक्षा करते रहें – यह प्रतिज्ञा स्पष्ट शब्दों में इससे अगले पद, पद 5 में, तथा पद 8 में बताई गई है। पद 5 और 8 से यह स्पष्ट है कि प्रभु शिष्यों से जिस प्रतिज्ञा के पूरे होने की प्रतीक्षा करने को कह रहा था, वह शिष्यों के द्वारा पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करना था।

यहाँ दो बातों पर ध्यान देना आवश्यक है:

पहली बात, शिष्यों को सेवकाई पर निकलने से पहले, प्रतिज्ञा के पूरा होने तक प्रतीक्षा करनी थी, सेवकाई पर जाने के लिए परमेश्वर के सही समय और उसकी सामर्थ्य मिलने का इंतजार करना था। किन्तु प्रभु ने उन्हें यह नहीं कहा कि उस प्रतीक्षा के समय के दौरान उन्हें कुछ विशेष करते रहने होगा जिसे करने के द्वारा ही फिर उन्हें पवित्र आत्मा दिया जाएगा; या उनके परमेश्वर से विशेष रीति से मांगने से, आग्रह करने या गिड़गिड़ाने से, अथवा कोई अन्य विशेष प्रयास करने के परिणामस्वरूप फिर परमेश्वर उन्हें पवित्र आत्मा देगा, जैसे कि आज बहुत से लोग और डिनॉमिनेशन सिखाते हैं, करने के लिए बल देते हैं, विशेष सभाएं रखते हैं। पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त होने की प्रतिज्ञा का पूरा किया जाना परमेश्वर के द्वारा, उसके समय और उसके तरीके से होना था, न कि इन शिष्यों के किसी विशेष रीति से मांगने या कोई विशेष कार्य अथवा प्रयास करने से होना था।

बाइबल के गलत अर्थ निकालने और अनुचित शिक्षा देने का सबसे प्रमुख और सामान्य कारण है किसी बात या वाक्य को संदर्भ से बाहर लेकर, और उस से संबंधित किसी संक्षिप्त वाक्यांश के आधार पर, अपनी ही समझ के अनुसार एक सिद्धांत (doctrine) खड़ा कर लेना, उसे सिखाने लग जाना। प्रभु की कही इस बात के आधार पर भी ऐसे ही यह गलत शिक्षा दी जाती है कि पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने के लिए प्रतीक्षा करना और प्रयास करना आवश्यक है।

इस विषय पर यह ध्यान देने योग्य एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य है कि सम्पूर्ण नए नियम में फिर कहीं यह प्रतीक्षा करना न तो सिखाया गया है, और ना इस बात के लिए कभी किसी को कोई उलाहना दिया गया है कि उन्होंने प्रतीक्षा अथवा प्रयास क्यों नहीं किया, और न ही नए मसीही विश्वासियों या नई स्थापित विश्वासी मण्डलियों को यह निर्देश अथवा शिक्षा दी गई कि वे पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने के लिए कुछ विशेष करें। इसी तरह से सम्पूर्ण नए नियम में न ही कभी किसी में विश्वास अथवा सामर्थ्य में दुर्बल विश्वासी को कहा अथवा सिखाया गया कि अपनी इस कमी के लिए कुछ विशेष प्रयास अथवा प्रतीक्षा कर के वह पवित्र आत्मा को प्राप्त करे, और फिर उससे प्रभु की सेवकाई के लिए सामर्थी बनें। वरन अन्य सभी स्थानों पर यही बताया और सिखाया गया है कि पवित्र आत्मा प्रभु यीशु मसीह पर विश्वास करते ही, तुरंत ही दे दिया जाता है। यह बात बाइबल के इन पदों से स्पष्ट हो जाती है:

* प्रेरितों 10:44; 11:15, 17 – विश्वास करने के साथ ही

* प्रेरितों 19:2 – विश्वास करते समय

* इफिसियों 1:13-14 – विश्वास करते ही छाप लगी

* गलातियों 3:2 – विश्वास के समाचार से

* तीतुस 3:5 – नए जन्म का स्नान और पवित्र आत्मा द्वारा नया बनाया जाना, एक साथ ही और एक ही बात - उद्धार, अर्थात नया-जन्म पाने के लिए लिखे गए हैं।

प्रेरितों 1:5-8 में प्रभु द्वारा अपने शिष्यों को पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने के लिए प्रतीक्षा करने से सम्बन्धित इस पहली महत्वपूर्ण बात को देखने के बाद, यहाँ दी गई दूसरी महत्वपूर्ण बात को हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे और समझेंगे। 

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

False Teachings About Receiving The Holy Spirit (2)

We have seen from 2 Corinthians 11:4 that Satan spreads his false doctrines and deceptive teachings mainly about three topics. These three topics are, the Lord Jesus Christ, God the Holy Spirit, and the Gospel. In the recent preceding articles, we have seen about the wrong teachings that Satan spreads about the Lord Jesus. In the previous article, we had begun to see the false concepts and wrong teachings that Satan spreads about the second topic, the Holy Spirit. Today we will see some more False concepts and wrong teachings spread by Satan, and consider them on the basis of what is given in God's Word the Bible about God the Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus had assured His disciples before His crucifixion that the Holy Spirit will be given to them as their Helper (John 14:16, 26), and the Holy Spirit is given by the Lord God to every truly Born-Again Christian Believer. But these preachers and teachers of wrong things, try to control and manipulate this blessing from God by men. Contrary to the clear and unambiguous teachings of the Bible, one of the main false teachings of these deceptive people is that the Holy Spirit is not received at the time of salvation, but one has to ‘tarry’, pray, and make efforts to receive it. Then these false teachers and preachers tell their own contrived methods involving waiting, efforts, and prayers, which according to them are necessary to receive the Holy Spirit. They try to justify it all by taking portions of God’s Word out of their context, then misinterpret and misuse them to justify their wrong teachings. To justify their notion of “tarrying” they misquote and misuse Acts 1:4-8, taking it out of its context. Let us look at it in its context.

In Acts 1:4-8 the Lord Jesus gave an instruction to His disciples that they should not leave Jerusalem, but remain there, wait for the promise of the Lord God, about which the Lord Jesus had talked to them earlier, and wait for this promise to be fulfilled. After this, what this promise is, has been made very clear in the subsequent verses 5 and 8, that it is the disciple’s receiving the Holy Spirit.

There are two very important things to take note of over here:

Firstly, the disciples, before going out to preach the gospel had to wait for the promise to be fulfilled, had to wait for God’s time and God's power to proceed for their ministry. But the Lord never said to them that while they were waiting, they will have to do something special, or persistently plead for being given the Holy Spirit before God, or make some special efforts so that because of those efforts or pleadings God will grant them the Holy Spirit, as many denominations and people preach and teach, and for this they organize special meetings too, and emphasize on the necessity of all these things. The giving of the Holy Spirit was to be in God’s time and by God’s method, not by anything, any special efforts or prayers and pleadings that these disciples would do.

The most common and important cause of misinterpreting and deriving wrong teachings from the Bible is using some word, or phrase, or sentence, or passage out of its context, and then based on that limited portion of God’s Word, build up a doctrine and start preaching and teaching it. This misuse of God’s Word is the basis of preaching and teaching this false doctrine that one has to wait, pray, and make special efforts to receive the Holy Spirit.

A very important point to ponder over about this doctrine is that in the whole of the New Testament, never again has this concept of “tarrying” or waiting and pleading ever been stated or taught. Also, nowhere in the New Testament, amongst the newly formed Churches and new-comers to the faith in Christ, has anyone ever been admonished that they should have waited and pleaded before God to receive the Holy Spirit, or has ever again been advised to wait. Similarly, in the whole of the New Testament neither has anyone weak in faith and struggling in his ministry ever been advised to make some special efforts to obtain the Holy Spirit and be empowered to carry on in the ministry. Rather, at many places it has been taught and told that the Holy Spirit is given by the Lord the moment one comes to faith in the Lord, is Born Again. This becomes clear on considering the following verses:

* Acts 10:44; 11:15, 17 - on believing and coming into faith

* Acts 19:2 - on believing

* Ephesians 1:13-14 - sealed by the Holy Spirit on being saved

* Galatians 3:2 - By the hearing of faith

* Titus 3:5 - “the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit” have been mentioned together for the same thing - salvation i.e., being Born-Again.

Having seen the first important thing given in Acts 1:5-8 about receiving the Holy Spirit, said by the Lord to His disciples, we will look at and understand about the second important thing in the next article.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

मसीही जीवन के चार स्तम्भ - 4 - प्रार्थना (13) 

प्रार्थना, व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन का एक अनिवार्य भाग, और प्रेरितों 2:42 में दी गई चार में से चौथी बात है। आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासी, इन चारों बातों में लौलीन रहा करते थे। आरम्भिक कलीसिया और मसीही विश्वासियों में प्रेरितों 2:42 की चारों बातों के बारे में जो स्वरूप और व्यवहार था, वह आज बहुत ही कम देखने को मिलता है। उसके स्थान पर आज, इन चारों के नाम में, केवल मनुष्यों द्वारा गढ़ी गई प्रथाएं और रीतियाँ ही निभाई जाती हैं, और वह भी सामान्यतः एक औपचारिकता के समान। उन बातों का वह लौलीन होकर पालन करना, जो आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासियों और कलीसिया में था, आज प्रायः देखने को नहीं मिलता है। प्रार्थना के बारे में परमेश्वर के वचन से सीखते हुए, हमने देखा है कि प्रार्थना करना, केवल परमेश्वर से माँगना नहीं है, वरन हर बात के लिए, हर समय उससे वार्तालाप करते रहना है। हर बात के लिए परमेश्वर की इच्छा जानकर, उसके वचन के अनुसार, उसके निर्देशों का पालन करना है। परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन में यह स्पष्ट कह रखा है कि वह किन लोगों की, और कैसी प्रार्थनाओं का सकारात्मक उत्तर देगा - उसके वचन और इच्छा के अनुसार, उसके वास्तविक और समर्पित लोगों द्वारा माँगी गई प्रार्थनाओं का। हम यह भी देख चुके हैं कि परमेश्वर ने सभी को यह खुली छूट नहीं दी है कि कोई भी “विश्वास से” कुछ भी माँगे, तो परमेश्वर उसे अवश्य ही पूरा करने के लिए बाध्य है। इस आम किन्तु गलत धारणा से सम्बन्धित बातों को बाइबल से देखने और समझने के बाद, पिछले लेख से हमने बाइबल के उन कुछ उदाहरणों को देखना आरम्भ किया है, जिनके गलत अर्थ और गलत व्याख्या के आधार पर बाइबल से असंगत इस शिक्षा का प्रचार तथा प्रसार किया जाता है। मत्ती 7:7-8 और मत्ती 21:21-22 को देखने समझने के बाद, आज से हम बाइबल के एक अन्य उदाहरण को देखना आरम्भ करेंगे, जिसका यह दिखाने के लिए दुरुपयोग किया जाता है कि जो भी परमेश्वर से “प्रभु यीशु के नाम से” माँगा जाएगा, परमेश्वर उस प्रार्थना को स्वीकार करेगा और पूरी करेगा।

परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना माँगने और उसके पूरा किये जाने के लिए वाक्यांश, “प्रभु यीशु के नाम में माँगते हैं” लगभग सभी के द्वारा प्रयोग किया जाता है। आज यह मुख्यतः एक औपचारिकता, तथा प्रार्थना को समाप्त करने वाला अन्तिम वाक्य बन गया है, जो यह बताता है कि इसके बोलने के साथ ही प्रार्थना का अन्त भी हो जाएगा। यदि बाइबल से देखें, तो यह वाक्यांश, जैसा कि यूहन्ना 14:13, 14; 15:16; 16:23-26 पदों में लिखा है, प्रभु यीशु द्वारा अपने उन प्रतिबद्ध और समर्पित शिष्यों से कहा गया था, जिनके साथ उसने फसह का भोज खाया था, और जिनके साथ उसने प्रभु भोज की स्थापना की थी। यहाँ ध्यान देने योग्य एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात है, जैसा हमने प्रभु भोज से सम्बन्धित बातों के बारे में देखते हुए ध्यान किया था, यूहन्ना 13 अध्याय के अन्त से आगे, यूहन्ना 18 अध्याय में प्रभु यीशु के पकड़वाए जाने तक, यहूदा इस्करियोती उनके मध्य में नहीं था। इसलिए यूहन्ना 14 से 16 अध्याय में प्रभु द्वारा कही गई बातें और दिए गए आश्वासन केवल उसके वास्तविक समर्पित और प्रतिबद्ध शिष्यों से ही कहे गए थे, उन्हीं के लिए थे। ये जन सामान्य से कही गई बातें नहीं थीं, न ही जन सामान्य द्वारा दावा किये जाने, और माँगे जाने के लिए थीं। इसलिए हर किसी के द्वारा यूहन्ना 14 से 16 अध्याय में प्रभु द्वारा बारम्बार कहे गए वाक्यांश के आधार पर अपनी सभी प्रार्थनाओं का अन्त, “प्रभु यीशु के नाम में माँगते हैं” कहकर करने का कोई औचित्य नहीं है।

 

बाइबल के इसी आधार पर हर किसी के द्वारा यह आशा रखने का भी कोई औचित्य नहीं है कि क्योंकि उन्होंने प्रभु के कहे के अनुसार, प्रार्थना को प्रभु के नाम में माँगा है, इसलिए प्रभु उसे पूरा भी करेगा। जो बात प्रभु ने सब से, या सब के लिए कही नहीं है, उस बात का निर्वाह वह सभी के लिए करेगा भी नहीं। जैसा ऊपर कहा गया है, यह ध्यान देने और समझने योग्य बात है कि प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों को ये आश्वासन, ये प्रतिज्ञा यहूदा इस्करियोती के उनके मध्य से चले जाने के बाद दी थी। लगभग साढ़े तीन वर्ष तक यहूदा इस्करियोती उन सभी के साथ रहा था। उसने अन्य शिष्यों के समान ही सब कुछ देखा, जाना, सीखा, और किया था। किन्तु फिर भी पैसों का लालच उसे अनन्त विनाश में ले गया। यहूदा इस्करियोती प्रभु के उन बारह चेलों में उनका खजांची था, और उसे सौंपी गई ज़िम्मेदारी में से पैसे चोरी भी किया करता था। जब मरियम ने प्रभु के पाँवों पर बहुमूल्य इत्र डालकर, उसे अपने बालों से पोंछा था, तब यहूदा इस्करियोती को ही इस “पैसे की बर्बादी” से तकलीफ हुई थी, और उसी ने उस पैसे के सदुपयोग के लिए उसे “कंगालों को देने” का बहाना बनाया था (यूहन्ना 12:1-6)। अब ध्यान कीजिए, इस ऊपरी रीति से प्रभु के साथ जुड़े होने, अन्य शिष्यों के समान व्यवहार करने, किन्तु अन्दर से संसार, और सांसारिकता के साथ जुड़े हुए “शिष्य” की उपस्थिति में, साढ़े तीन वर्ष तक प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों से प्रार्थनाओं के उत्तर के बारे में उसके नामे से माँगने के बारे में कोई शिक्षा नहीं दी। तब भी नहीं जब शिष्यों ने प्रभु से आग्रह किया कि वह उन्हें प्रार्थना करना सिखाए; और प्रभु ने उन्हें “प्रभु की प्रार्थना” सिखाई (लूका 11:1-4)। जब ऊपरी तौर से प्रभु का शिष्य, किन्तु अन्दर से शैतान का जन (यूहन्ना 17:12), अन्ततः उनसे पूरी तरह से अलग होकर संसार और संसार के लोगों में चला गया, उसके बाद ही प्रभु ने अपने समर्पित और प्रतिबद्ध शिष्यों को यह बात कही, यह प्रतिज्ञा दी। यही अपने आप में स्पष्ट दिखा देता है कि प्रभु के नाम से कुछ माँगने का अधिकार, और माँगे हुए के पूरा किये जाने का आश्वासन केवल उसके समर्पित, प्रतिबद्ध, वास्तविक शिष्यों के लिए ही है, हर किसी के लिए नहीं। इसलिए चाहे कोई भी इस वाक्यांश “प्रभु यीशु के नाम में माँगते हैं” को अपनी प्रार्थनाओं के साथ क्यों न जोड़ता रहे, किन्तु इसका लाभ उन्हीं को होगा जो वास्तव में, अन्दर और बाहर समान रीति से, प्रभु के वास्तविक, सच में समर्पित और प्रतिबद्ध शिष्य हैं।

इस वाक्यांश “प्रभु यीशु के नाम में माँगते हैं” का एक अन्य और बहुत महत्वपूर्ण तात्पर्य भी है, जो हमें समझाता है कि प्रभु ने किस आशय से प्रतिज्ञा के ये शब्द कहे थे; और इनका वास्तविक तात्पर्य एवं निहितार्थ क्या है। इसे हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे।

 

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 4 - Prayer (13)

Prayer is an integral part of practical Christian living, and is the fourth of the four things given in Acts 2:42. The initial Christian Believers used to follow these four things steadfastly. The form and the observance of these four things of Acts 2:42 that was seen and practiced amongst the initial Believers and the churches is very rarely seen now. Instead, it has been replaced by man-made traditions and rituals about these four, and these too are only followed to fulfill a formality. That steadfast observance that was seen amongst the initial Christian Believers and the churches, is practically never seen now. While learning about prayer from God’s Word, we have seen that praying is not just asking from God, but continually being in conversation with Him about everything. It is learning God’s will, and what God’s Word says about everything, then following God’s instructions accordingly. God has very clearly written in His Word about whose prayers and the kind of prayers He will answer affirmatively - those asked by His true and committed disciples, and consistent with His Word and His will. We have also seen that God has not given an open assurance to everyone that if anyone asks for anything “in faith” then God is obliged to necessarily fulfill it. Having seen and understood the things related to this very common but wrong notion, since the last article we have started to consider the examples that are often used from the Bible to support this misconception, through wrong interpretations and meanings of the text, and then these Biblically inconsistent teachings are preached and taught to others. Having seen and understood about Matthew 7:7-8 and Matthew 21:21-22, today we will begin to consider another Biblical example that is misused to say that God will accept and fulfill any prayer for anything, if asked in the name of the Lord Jesus.

The phrase “ask in Jesus’s name” is used by practically everyone in their prayers, to ensure its being fulfilled. Today, it has become more of a formality, an indicator that this is the concluding sentence of the prayer, with which the prayer will come to an end. When seen from the Bible, as given in John 14:13, 14; 15:16; 16:23-26, this phrase was spoken by the Lord Jesus to those of His committed and true disciples, with whom He had partaken the Passover feast, and with whom He had established the Lord’s Table. There is a very important thing to be noted over here. As we have seen while considering about the things related to the Holy Communion, from the end of John chapter 13, till Jesus’ being caught for being crucified in John chapter 18, Judas Iscariot was not present amongst them. Therefore, the things said and the assurances given by the Lord Jesus, in John chapters 14 to 16 were spoken to, and were meant only for His true and committed disciples. They were neither said to everyone, in general; nor were they meant for everyone, in general to claim and ask. Therefore, there is no rationale for everyone to be generally claiming the phrase “ask in Jesus’ name” repeatedly spoken by the Lord in John chapters 14 to 16, and expecting their prayers to be answered because of having said the phrase.

 

That which the Lord has not spoken to or for everyone, He will not fulfill it for everyone either. As has been said above, the Lord had given this promise after Judas Iscariot had left from amongst them. Judas Iscariot had been with them for about three and a half years. He had seen, learnt, known, and done everything like the other disciples. Still, the lust for money eventually led him into eternal destruction. Judas Iscariot was the “treasurer” amongst the disciples, and from the responsibility entrusted to him, he used to steal money. When Mary had poured the precious ointment on Jesus’ feet and had wiped them with her hair, it was Judas Isacriot who had been perturbed the most by this “waste of money” and had suggested that it could have been better used for “giving to the poor” (John 12:1-6). Now take note, when this apparently and superficially joined to the Lord, but inwardly joined to the world and the things of the world, “disciple” was with them for about three and a half years, the Lord never gave this teaching to His disciples to ask for things in His name. Not even when the disciples asked the Lord to teach them to pray, and He taught them the “Lord’s Prayer.” When this outwardly, a “disciple” of the Lord, but actually Satan’s person (John 17:12), eventually had fully separated himself from them and had gone back into the world and joined the people of the world, it was then that the Lord Jesus gave the disciples this promise, this assurance. This by itself clearly shows that the authority to ask in the name of the Lord, and to expect the fulfillment of what is asked, is only for the actual disciples of the Lord, truly committed and surrendered to Him; and not for anyone in general. Therefore, even if people may keep adding this phrase “ask in Jesus’ name” to their prayers, it will benefit only those who really are the disciples of the Lord, from the inside as well as outside, and are truly committed and surrendered to Him.

There is another very important meaning of this phrase “ask in Jesus’ name,” that explains to us with what meaning did the Lord give this promise, and what is its actual meaning and implication. We will see this in the next article.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पिछले लेख में हमने यह भी देखा था कि प्रभु यीशु मसीह में विश्वास लाने और उद्धार पाने के द्वारा व्यक्ति केवल परमेश्वर के परिवार का एक सदस्य ही नहीं बनता है। वरन, परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में बहाली, मसीही विश्वासियों को एक ऐसे बहु-आयामी स्तर तक पहुँचा देती है, जो मनुष्यों के सोचने, समझने, कल्पनाओं, और उसकी किसी भी क्षमता से कहीं बढ़कर है। यह ऐसा अकल्पनीय स्तर है संसार में जिसके समान कोई भी बात, अन्य किसी भी धर्म, विश्वास, ईश-मान्यता में, या कहीं पर भी देखने को नहीं मिलती है। पिछले लेख में हम इस बहाली के परिणामस्वरूप होने वाली दो बातों को देख चुके हैं - पहली बात, व्यक्ति चाहे कितना भी घोर पापी क्यों न रहा हो, संसार में उसका कैसा भी अपयश क्यों न रहा हो, मसीही विश्वास में आते ही, वह प्रत्येक अन्य मसीही विश्वासी के समान स्तर पर परमेश्वर की सन्तान बन जाता है। दूसरी बात, मनुष्यों के साथ बैर और विभाजन उत्पन्न करने वाली सभी सांसारिक बातों और धारणाओं का अन्त हो जाता है, सभी ऊँच-नीच समाप्त हो जाते हैं, और परमेश्वर सभी मसीही विश्वासियों को एक समान स्तर का - प्रभु यीशु के भाई-बहन, देखता है। आज हम परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में बहाली के साथ मिलने वाली पाँच अन्य अद्भुत, अभूतपूर्व और अनुपम बातों को देखेंगे, ताकि इस संगति के महत्व और मूल्य को समझ सकें, उसका आदर कर सकें।

तीसरी बात, परमेश्वर के परिवार का सदस्य बनाने के साथ ही परमेश्वर की उस सन्तान को परमेश्वर और प्रभु यीशु की अटल और अचूक सुरक्षा भी मिल जाती है। प्रभु यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों से कहा, “और मैं उन्हें अनन्त जीवन देता हूं, और वे कभी नाश न होंगी, और कोई उन्हें मेरे हाथ से छीन न लेगा। मेरा पिता, जिसने उन्हें मुझ को दिया है, सब से बड़ा है, और कोई उन्हें पिता के हाथ से छीन नहीं सकता।” (यूहन्ना 10:28-29)। साथ ही प्रभु ने अपने प्रत्येक शिष्य से यह प्रतिज्ञा भी की है कि उसके जन कभी भी किसी ऐसी परीक्षा में नहीं पड़ेंगे जो उनके सहने के बाहर हो, और परमेश्वर प्रत्येक बात में से भी अन्ततः उनका भला ही करेगा “तुम किसी ऐसी परीक्षा में नहीं पड़े, जो मनुष्य के सहने से बाहर है: और परमेश्वर सच्चा है: वह तुम्हें सामर्थ्य से बाहर परीक्षा में न पड़ने देगा, वरन परीक्षा के साथ निकास भी करेगा; कि तुम सह सको।” (1 कुरिन्थियों 10:13); “और हम जानते हैं, कि जो लोग परमेश्वर से प्रेम रखते हैं, उन के लिये सब बातें मिलकर भलाई ही को उत्पन्न करती है; अर्थात उन्हीं के लिये जो उस की इच्छा के अनुसार बुलाए हुए हैं।” (रोमियों 8:28)।

चौथी बात, न केवल प्रभु के विश्वासी परमेश्वर की अभेद्य सुरक्षा में रहते हैं, बल्कि उनकी सहायता के लिए, उन्हें परमेश्वर के वचन को सिखाने के लिए, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उनमें आकर स्थाई रीति से निवास करने लग जाता है “और मैं पिता से बिनती करूंगा, और वह तुम्हें एक और सहायक देगा, कि वह सर्वदा तुम्हारे साथ रहे।” “परन्तु सहायक अर्थात पवित्र आत्मा जिसे पिता मेरे नाम से भेजेगा, वह तुम्हें सब बातें सिखाएगा, और जो कुछ मैं ने तुम से कहा है, वह सब तुम्हें स्मरण कराएगा।” (यूहन्ना 14:16, 26)। उनके उद्धार पाने के पल से ही उनकी देह पवित्र आत्मा का मन्दिर बन जाते हैं “क्या तुम नहीं जानते, कि तुम्हारी देह पवित्रात्मा का मन्दिर है; जो तुम में बसा हुआ है और तुम्हें परमेश्वर की ओर से मिला है, और तुम अपने नहीं हो?” (1 कुरिन्थियों 6:19)।

पाँचवीं बात, परमेश्वर ने मनुष्य की सृष्टि से ही उसे स्वर्गदूतों से कुछ कम बनाया है “तू ने उसे स्‍वर्गदूतों से कुछ ही कम किया; तू ने उस पर महिमा और आदर का मुकुट रखा और उसे अपने हाथों के कामों पर अधिकार दिया;” “पर हम यीशु को जो स्‍वर्गदूतों से कुछ ही कम किया गया था, मृत्यु का दुख उठाने के कारण महिमा और आदर का मुकुट पहने हुए देखते हैं; ताकि परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह से हर एक मनुष्य के लिये मृत्यु का स्‍वाद चखे।” (इब्रानियों 2:7, 9)। किन्तु उद्धार पाने और परमेश्वर की सन्तान बन जाने पर अब स्वर्गदूत मसीही विश्वासियों की सेवा-टहल करने वाले बना दिए जाते हैं “क्या वे सब सेवा टहल करने वाली आत्माएं नहीं; जो उद्धार पाने वालों के लिये सेवा करने को भेजी जाती हैं?” (इब्रानियों 1:14)।

छठी बात, परमेश्वर ने अपना जीवता, सत्य, अटल, और अपरिवर्तनीय वचन, जो अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्ग में स्थापित है “हे यहोवा, तेरा वचन, आकाश में सदा तक स्थिर रहता है;” “तेरा सारा वचन सत्य ही है; और तेरा एक एक धर्ममय नियम सदा काल तक अटल है।” (भजन 119:89, 160; 1 पतरस 1:25 भी देखिए), हमारे हाथों में रख दिया है, और उस वचन में होकर हम से बात करता है, हमारा मार्गदर्शन करता है “तेरा वचन मेरे पांव के लिये दीपक, और मेरे मार्ग के लिये उजियाला है” (भजन 119:105), अपने आप को अपने लोगों पर प्रकट करता है।

 

सातवीं बात, प्रभु परमेश्वर ने स्वर्गदूतों को नहीं, हम अयोग्य, गलती कर जाने वाले, कमज़ोर मनुष्यों को ही अपने गवाह बनाया है कि उसके वचन को और उद्धार के सुसमाचार को सारे संसार के लोगों तक पहुँचाएं, “इसलिये तुम जा कर सब जातियों के लोगों को चेला बनाओ और उन्हें पिता और पुत्र और पवित्रआत्मा के नाम से बपतिस्मा दो। और उन्हें सब बातें जो मैं ने तुम्हें आज्ञा दी है, मानना सिखाओ: और देखो, मैं जगत के अन्‍त तक सदैव तुम्हारे संग हूं।” (मत्ती 28:19-20), “परन्तु जब पवित्र आत्मा तुम पर आएगा तब तुम सामर्थ्य पाओगे; और यरूशलेम और सारे यहूदिया और सामरिया में, और पृथ्वी की छोर तक मेरे गवाह होगे।” (प्रेरितों 1:8)। प्रभु की अपने लोगों से प्रतिज्ञा है कि वह उन्हें न तो कभी छोड़ेगा, और न कभी त्यागेगा “तुम्हारा स्‍वभाव लोभरहित हो, और जो तुम्हारे पास है, उसी पर संतोष किया करो; क्योंकि उसने आप ही कहा है, कि मैं तुझे कभी न छोडूंगा, और न कभी तुझे त्यागूंगा।” (इब्रानियों 13:5)।

 

इन बातों के अतिरिक्त भी मसीही विश्वासियों के जीवन के हर पक्ष के लिए परमेश्वर ने अपने वचन में अनेकों अद्भुत प्रतिज्ञाएँ दी हैं। पाठक स्वयं यह निर्णय कर सकते हैं, क्या ऐसे अनुपम, अद्भुत, अभूतपूर्व आश्वासन मसीही विश्वास के अतिरिक्त, संसार भर में क्या कहीं और पाए जाते हैं? और वे भी सेंत-मेंत, केवल पापों से पश्चाताप करके प्रभु यीशु को अपना व्यक्तिगत उद्धारकर्ता ग्रहण कर लेने पर? अगले लेख में संगति से सम्बन्धित कुछ अन्य बातों पर विचार करेंगे।

  

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Things Related to Christian Living – 22

The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 2 - Fellowship (4)

 

Presently, we are considering the instructions given in God's Word, the Bible regarding practical Christian living for the growth of Christian Believers and the Church. Acts 2:42 lists four things, also known as the “Pillars of the Christian faith,” that the early Christian Believers continued in steadfastly. In the past few articles, we have looked at the first of these pillars, i.e., studying God's Word regularly and diligently. Now we're looking at the second pillar, i.e., keeping fellowship. We have seen that God created man in His image, so that he could have fellowship with Him; And God's purpose for man is to have fellowship not only with God, but also with other men. The coming of sin into the world, among other things, adversely affected both these forms of fellowship, consequently man's fellowship was broken with God, and was spoiled with other men. Where there is sin, there is no fellowship – neither with God nor with men. By repenting of sins, believing in the Lord Jesus, and accepting Him as Savior, the sins are forgiven and dealt with. And then, man is reconciled to God, he is not only restored to fellowship with God and becomes a member of God's universal, worldwide family - the Church, but as Christian Believers, man's fellowship with man is also restored. Every Christian Believer also becomes a child of God and has the same standing before God as any other Christian Believer. Because of this equality, all the worldly things that create divisions and hatred amongst mankind are taken away.

In the previous article we also saw that by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and receiving salvation a person does not only become a member of God's family. Rather, restoration into fellowship with God elevates Christian Believers to a multi-dimensional level that is far beyond what humans can think, understand, imagine, and in any manner attain through their efforts. This status is of such an unimaginable level, that nothing like it is ever be seen in any other religion, faith, concept of divinity, or anywhere else in the world. In the previous article we have seen two things that happen consequent to this restoration – firstly, no matter how grave a sinner any person has been, no matter what the status of his disrepute may be in the world, but as soon as he comes into the Christian faith, he Becomes a child of God and is placed on the same level as any other Christian Believer is. Secondly, all worldly matters and notions that cause hatred and division among men come to an end, all considerations of superiority and inferiority are eliminated, and God sees all Christian Believers as having an equal standing before Him – as brothers and sisters of the Lord Jesus. Today we will look at five other wonderful, extraordinary, and unique things that come with restoration in fellowship with God, so that we can understand and respect the importance and value of this fellowship.

Thirdly, along with being made a member of God's family, that child of God also gets the irrevocable and infallible protection of God and the Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus said to his disciples, "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand" (John 10:28-29). At the same time, the Lord has also promised to each of His disciples that His people will never fall into any trial that is beyond their ability to bear, and in everything, God will ultimately do them good "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." (1 Corinthians 10:13); "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28).

Fourth, not only do the Lord's believers live under God's impenetrable protection, but to help them, to teach them God's word, God's Holy Spirit comes and resides in them permanently "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you" (John 14:16, 26). From the moment they receive salvation, their bodies become temples of the Holy Spirit "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?" (1 Corinthians 6:19).

Fifthly, since his creation, God has created man somewhat lower than the angels "You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And set him over the works of Your hands. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone" (Hebrews 2:7, 9). But after salvation and becoming God's children, angels are now made to minister to Christian Believers "Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14).

Sixthly, God has given to us His living, true, unchangeable, and immutable Word, which is established in heaven forever "Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever" (Psalm 119:89, 160; also see 1 Peter 1:25). God has placed it in our hands, God speaks to us and guides us through the Word, "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path" (Psalm 119:105), and God reveals himself to his people through His Word.

Seventhly, the Lord God has not made the angels, but us unworthy, fallible, weak humans as His witnesses to bring His Word and the gospel of salvation to people all over the world, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen." (Matthew 28:19-20); "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." (Acts 1:8). The Lord's promise to His people is that He will never leave them, nor forsake them "Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5).

Apart from these seven things, God has given many other wonderful promises in His Word for every aspect of the life of Christian Believers. The reader can decide for himself, are such unique, wonderful, extraordinary, assurances found anywhere else in the world except in the Christian faith? And that too for free, just by repenting of sins and accepting Lord Jesus as personal Savior? In the next article we will consider some other things related to fellowship.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
