बाइबल के अनुसार भविष्यवाणी के अर्थ (2)

    पिछले लेख में हमने शब्दों "भविष्यद्वक्ता" और भविष्यद्वाणी" के विभिन्न अर्थों और तात्पर्यों के बार में देखा था। इन बातों की पुष्टि के लिए, तथा यह भी समझने के लिए कि वर्तमान में जो स्वयं को "भविष्यद्वक्ता" कहते हैं, तथा उनकी "भविष्यद्वाणियाँ" परमेश्वर के वचन के समक्ष क्या स्थान रखती हैं, आज हम परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के कुछ पदों से "भविष्यद्वक्ता" और "भविष्यद्वाणी" शब्दों के प्रयोग के कुछ उदाहरण देखते हैं। 

बाइबल के इन पदों पर कुछ विचार कीजिए:

* किसी देवी-देवता को पुकारना: 1राजा 18:29 वे दोपहर भर ही क्या, वरन भेंट चढ़ाने के समय तक नबूवत करते रहे, परन्तु कोई शब्द सुन न पड़ा; और न तो किसी ने उत्तर दिया और न कान लगाया। - एल्लियाह से मिली चुनौती के अंतर्गत बाल देवता के नबी अपने देवता को भरसक पुकारते रहे।

* अपने शब्दों के द्वारा लोगों को आश्वस्त अथवा प्रोत्साहित करना, शान्ति या सांत्वना देना: 1 कुरिन्थियों 14:3 परन्तु जो भविष्यद्वाणी करता है, वह मनुष्यों से उन्नति, और उपदेश, और शान्‍ति की बातें कहता है।

* परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई आज्ञा को बोलना और मानना: 

- यहेजकेल 37:4 तब उसने मुझ से कहा, इन हड्डियों से भविष्यद्वाणी कर के कह, हे सूखी हड्डियों, यहोवा का वचन सुनो।

- यहेजकेल 37:9-10 तब उसने मुझ से कहा, हे मनुष्य के सन्तान सांस से भविष्यद्वाणी कर, और सांस से भविष्यद्वाणी कर के कह, हे सांस, परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है कि चारों दिशाओं से आकर इन घात किए हुओं में समा जा कि ये जी उठें। उसकी इस आज्ञा के अनुसार मैं ने भविष्यद्वाणी की, तब सांस उन में आ गई, ओर वे जीकर अपने अपने पांवों के बल खड़े हो गए; और एक बहुत बड़ी सेना हो गई।

* परमेश्वर की ओर से आने वाली घटनाओं और बातों के बारे में बताना:

 - यहेजकेल 36:1, 3 फिर हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, तू इस्राएल के पहाड़ों से भविष्यद्वाणी कर के कह, हे इस्राएल के पहाड़ों, यहोवा का वचन सुनो। इस कारण भविष्यद्वाणी कर के कह, परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता हे, लोगों ने जो तुम्हें उजाड़ा और चारों ओर से तुम्हें ऐसा निगल लिया कि तुम बची हुई जातियों का अधिकार हो जाओ, और लुतरे तुम्हारी चर्चा करते और साधारण लोग तुम्हारी निन्दा करते हैं;

- यहेजकेल 37:12-14 इस कारण भविष्यद्वाणी कर के उन से कह, परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, हे मेरी प्रजा के लोगों, देखो, मैं तुम्हारी कब्रें खोल कर तुम को उन से निकालूंगा, और इस्राएल के देश में पहुंचा दूंगा। सो जब मैं तुम्हारी कब्रें खोलूं, और तुम को उन से निकालूं, तब हे मेरी प्रजा के लोगों, तुम जान लोगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ। और मैं तुम में अपना आत्मा समाऊंगा, और तुम जीओगे, और तुम को तुम्हारे निज देश में बसाऊंगा; तब तुम जान लोगे कि मुझ यहोवा ही ने यह कहा, और किया भी है, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

* परमेश्वर के प्रभाव में आकर उसके निर्देश के अनुसार बोलना: 

- अमोस 3:8 सिंह गरजा; कौन न डरेगा? परमेश्वर यहोवा बोला; कौन भविष्यद्वाणी न करेगा?

  - यहेजकेल 36:6 इस कारण इस्राएल के देश के विषय में भविष्यद्वाणी कर के पहाड़ों, पहाडिय़ों, नालों, और तराइयों से कह, परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, देखो, तुम ने जातियों की निन्दा सही है, इस कारण मैं अपनी बड़ी जलजलाहट से बोला हूँ।

* आराधना, स्तुति करना, और आराधना के लिए संगीत वाद्य बजाना: 1इतिहास 25:1-6 फिर दाऊद और सेनापतियों ने आसाप, हेमान और यदूतून के कितने पुत्रों को सेवकाई के लिये अलग किया कि वे वीणा, सारंगी और झांझ बजा बजाकर नबूवत करें। और इस सेवकाई के काम करने वाले मनुष्यों की गिनती यह थी: अर्थात आसाप के पुत्रों में से तो जक्कूर, योसेप, नतन्याह और अशरेला, आसाप के ये पुत्र आसाप ही की आज्ञा में थे, जो राजा की आज्ञा के अनुसार नबूवत करता था। फिर यदूतून के पुत्रों में से गदल्याह, सरीयशायाह, हसब्याह, मत्तित्याह, ये ही छ: अपने पिता यदूतून की आज्ञा में हो कर जो यहोवा का धन्यवाद और स्तुति कर कर के नबूवत करता था, वीणा बजाते थे। और हेमान के पुत्रों में से, मुक्किय्याह, मत्तन्याह, लज्जीएल, शबूएल, यरीमोत, हनन्याह, हनानी, एलीआता, गिद्दलती, रोममतीएजेर, योशबकाशा, मल्लोती, होतीर और महजीओत। परमेश्वर की प्रतिज्ञानुकूल जो उसका नाम बढ़ाने की थी, ये सब हेमान के पुत्र थे जो राजा का दर्शी था; क्योंकि परमेश्वर ने हेमान को चौदह बेटे और तीन बेटियां दीं थीं। ये सब यहोवा के भवन में गाने के लिये अपने अपने पिता के आधीन रह कर, परमेश्वर के भवन, की सेवकाई में झांझ, सारंगी और वीणा बजाते थे। और आसाप, यदूतून और हेमान राजा के आधीन रहते थे।

* किसी गुप्त या अनजानी बात को बताना: लूका 22:64 और उस की आंखे ढांपकर उस से पूछा, कि भविष्यद्वाणी कर के बता कि तुझे किसने मारा - प्रभु यीशु मसीह को पकड़ने के बाद उसका का ठट्ठा करते समय उससे उपहास करते हुए पूछना।  

ये “भविष्यद्वक्ता” और “भविष्यद्वाणी” शब्दों के बाइबल में विभिन्न अभिप्रायों के प्रयोग को दिखाने के लिए केवल उदाहरणस्वरूप लिए गए बाइबल के कुछ पद हैं; संपूर्ण सूची नहीं।

आज ईसाई या मसीही समाज में, विशेषकर उन समुदायों और डिनॉमिनेशंस में जो परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में गलत शिक्षाएं बताते और सिखाते रहते हैं, ऐसे लोगों की कमी नहीं है जो अपने आप को “नबी” या “भविष्यद्वक्ता” कहते हैं, और परमेश्वर के नाम से कुछ भी कहते रहते हैं। उनका मुख्य ध्येय अपने आप को उच्च और प्रशंसनीय बनाना तथा परमेश्वर के नाम, काम, और उसके वचन के द्वारा अपने लिए सांसारिक लाभ, संपत्ति, यश, ओहदा, आदि एकत्रित करना होता है। यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि आप परमेश्वर के वचन की गलत समझ और गलत उपयोग से बचें। वचन की सही समझ और सही उपयोग आपके लिए आत्मिक उन्नति और आशीष का कारण होगा, किन्तु गलत समझ और गलत उपयोग बहुत हानिकारक होगा। इसलिए यदि आप किसी गलत शिक्षा अथवा धारणा में पड़े हुए हैं, तो स्थिति को जाँच-परखकर अभी समय और अवसर के रहते उससे बाहर निकल आएं, आवश्यक सुधार कर लें।

यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Biblical Meanings of Prophesying (2)

In the previous article, we have seen the various implications and meanings of the words “Prophet” and “Prophecy.” Today, let us look at some examples of the usage, meaning, and implications of these two words through some verses from the Bible; using them as examples of what we have said, and to see how the present day self-proclaimed "Prophets" and their "prophecies" measure up to God's Word.

Consider the following verses:

* To call unto some deity: 1 Kings 18:29 And when midday was past, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice; no one answered, no one paid attention. The prophets of Baal called out to their deity; but in vain.

* To comfort and assure people through speaking to them: 1 Corinthians 14:3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.

* To speak out and obey God’s commandments:

- Ezekiel 37:4 Again He said to me, Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!’

- Ezekiel 37:9-10 Also He said to me, Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live. So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.

* To foretell about the future events, from God:

- Ezekiel 36:1, 3 And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord! therefore prophesy, and say, Thus says the Lord God: Because they made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side, so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations, and you are taken up by the lips of talkers and slandered by the people

- Ezekiel 37:12-14 Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it, says the Lord.

* To speak under the power and influence of God, according to His instructions:

- Amos 3:8 A lion has roared! Who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken! Who can but prophesy?

 - Ezekiel 36:6 Therefore prophecy concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains, the hills, the rivers, and the valleys, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I have spoken in My jealousy and My fury, because you have borne the shame of the nations.

* To praise and worship God, and to play musical instruments for worshipping: 1Chronicles 25:1-6 Moreover David and the captains of the army separated for the service some of the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, stringed instruments, and cymbals. And the number of the skilled men performing their service was: Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah; the sons of Asaph were under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied according to the order of the king. Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with a harp to give thanks and to praise the Lord. Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth. All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, to exalt his horn. For God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. All these were under the direction of their father for the music in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the authority of the king.

* To tell about some secret or unknown thing: Luke 22:64 They blindfolded him and demanded, "Prophesy! Who hit you?"

These are just a few representative, sample verses, and not an exhaustive list from the Bible to illustrate the varying meanings of the words “Prophet” and “Prophecy.” 

Today, in Christendom, especially amongst those groups, sects, and denominations who keep preaching and teaching wrong doctrines and false teachings about God the Holy Spirit, there is no dearth of people who call themselves as “prophets”, are self-appointed or man-appointed to this position, and keep saying anything that comes to their mind as a “prophecy from God.” But their main purpose is to gain prominence, to become famous and acquire a name and following; they use the name of God, His Word, and things done in his name to acquire worldly benefits and possessions, name, fame, and status in the society, and rise to a position of having authority over people. If you are a Christian Believer, then it is essential for you to recognize and beware of the misunderstandings and misuse of God’s Word and name. Having a correct understanding and using God’s Word worthily will be a blessing for you and help you in your spiritual growth; but misuse and propagating misunderstandings will be deleterious and catastrophic. Therefore, check and evaluate what you accept and believe in, and if you are caught up and involved in some wrong doctrines and false teachings, in misconceptions and wrong notions, then now, while God is giving you the time and opportunity to rectify your beliefs and situation and come out of the wrong things, do so; lest by the time you realize and decide to do so, it is very late and beyond the point of correction.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.

मसीही जीवन के चार स्तम्भ - 4 - प्रार्थना (19) 

व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन के लिए आवश्यक, परमेश्वर के वचन, बाइबल में दी गई शिक्षाओं में से प्रेरितों 2:38-40 में दी गई तीन बातों को हम पहले देख चुके हैं। और अब हम प्रेरितों 2:42 में दी गई चार बातों का अध्ययन कर रहे हैं, जिनमें आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासी लौलीन रहा करते थे। इन चार में से हम तीन बातों को देख चुके हैं, और अब चौथी बात, प्रार्थना करना, के बारे में देख रहे हैं। मसीही विश्वासियों द्वारा इन बातों में लौलीन रहने के स्थान पर, इन्हें पारम्परिक और औपचारिक निर्वाह की बातें बना देने के कारण, शैतान को मसीही समाज में बहुत सारी गलत धारणाओं और गलत शिक्षाओं को घुसाने का अवसर मिल गया है, और उसने इस अवसर का भरपूरी से प्रयोग किया है। हमारे वर्तमान अध्ययन में हम प्रार्थना से सम्बन्धित गलत धारणाओं और गलत शिक्षाओं के बारे में देख रहे हैं। इस विषय पर, मसीहियों में व्याप्त एक बहुत आम गलत धारणा और शिक्षा है कि परमेश्वर की यह प्रतिज्ञा है कि वह “विश्वास से” और “यीशु के नाम में” माँगी गई सभी प्रार्थनाओं का सकारात्मक उत्तर देगा। पिछले कुछ लेखों में हमने बाइबल के हवालों से देखा है कि परमेश्वर ने यह प्रतिज्ञा हर किसी से नहीं कि है, बल्कि केवल अपने सच्चे, समर्पित, आज्ञाकारी शिष्यों की उन प्रार्थनाओं के लिए की है जो वे परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार और परमेश्वर के वचन से सुसंगत बातों के बारे में माँगते हैं। इसकी पुष्टि के लिए हमने देखा था कि प्रभु की पृथ्वी की सेवकाई के दौरान, प्रभु के शिष्य भी प्रभु की अनुमति और सामर्थ्य के बिना, अपनी ही इच्छा से, उन अद्भुत कार्यों को नहीं कर सके, जिन्हें वे पहले, प्रभु के निर्देशानुसार कर चुके कर थे। इसी सन्दर्भ में हमने पिछले लेख में देखा था कि प्रभु ने स्वर्ग पर उठाए जाने से पहले शिष्यों को वैसी ही सेवकाई सौंपी थी, जैसी उन्होंने प्रभु के साथ रहते हुए की थी। किन्तु अब, उसी सेवकाई को करने के लिए, क्यों प्रभु के शिष्यों को पवित्र आत्मा और उसकी सामर्थ्य प्राप्त करने के बाद ही जाना था, हमने इस बात को भी समझा था। प्रभु के वे सच्चे, समर्पित, आज्ञाकारी शिष्य भी “विश्वास से” और “यीशु के नाम में” प्रार्थनाएं माँगकर उस सेवकाई को नहीं कर सकते थे। इन दोनों वाक्यांशों के बाइबल में दिए गए तरीके से उपयोग करने को हम आज के लेख में भी ज़ारी रखेंगे।

 

प्रेरितों 3:1-16 में पतरस और यूहन्ना के द्वारा मन्दिर के बाहर बैठ कर भीख माँगने वाले जन्म के लँगड़े को चंगा करने का वृतान्त है। इस खण्ड का पद 2 बताता है कि उस लँगड़े को प्रतिदिन वहीं पर भीख माँगने के लिए बैठाया जाता था। हमने पहले लूका 24:53 से देखा था कि पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने की प्रतीक्षा करते समय, प्रभु के शिष्य लगातार मन्दिर में प्रार्थना के लिए जाया करते थे। यहाँ पर भी पद 1 और 3 में यही लिखा है कि तीसरे पहर पतरस और यूहन्ना प्रार्थना के लिए मन्दिर में जा रहे थे, जब उस लँगड़े भिखारी ने उनसे भीख माँगी। बहुत सम्भव है कि पतरस और यूहन्ना ने तथा उस भिखारी ने पहले भी एक दूसरे को देखा था। लेकिन अब भिन्न यह था कि पतरस और यूहन्ना पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त कर चुके थे। अब उन में एक नई सामर्थ्य, एक नया भरोसा, परमेश्वर का मार्गदर्शन था। और इसी मार्गदर्शन और विश्वास के अन्तर्गत पतरस ने, जैसा पद 4 में लिखा है, उस भिखारी को अपनी ओर देखने को कहा, और जैसा पद 6 में लिखा है “यीशु के नाम में” चलने फिरने के लिए कहा। पद 7, 8 बताते हैं कि तुरन्त उसके पाँवों और टखनों में बल आ गया, और वह उछल कर खड़ा हो गया, और परमेश्वर की स्तुति करता हुआ उनके साथ मन्दिर में गया। जब लोगों ने यह देखकर अचम्भा किया, तब पद 12-16 में पतरस ने “विश्वास से” माँगी गई प्रार्थना के उत्तर में उसे प्रभु से चंगाई मिलने के बारे में समझाया।

 

हम इस खण्ड में दी गई घटनाओं, वार्तालापों, और सम्बन्धित शिक्षाओं की व्याख्या में नहीं जाएंगे। हमारे वर्तमान विषय की पुष्टि के सन्दर्भ में हम यहाँ पर देखते हैं कि यद्यपि, सम्भवतः, यह पतरस, यूहन्ना, और उस भिखारी की पहली भेंट नहीं थी। किन्तु पतरस और यूहन्ना उसके लिए तब तक कुछ नहीं कर सके, जब तक कि उन्होंने पवित्र आत्मा, उसकी सामर्थ्य, और उसके मार्गदर्शन को नहीं प्राप्त कर लिया। फिर उसके बाद ही, उसी से उन्हें परमेश्वर की इच्छा में, “विश्वास से” और “यीशु के नाम में” आश्चर्यकर्म करने की अगुवाई मिली, और उस अगुवाई की आज्ञाकारिता में उन्होंने उस जन्म के लँगड़े को चंगा कर दिया। यहाँ पर एक अन्य बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बात भी ध्यान देने के लिए है। जैसा पद 12 से 16 में पतरस द्वारा कही गई बात से प्रकट है, उन्होंने उसे केवल चंगाई ही नहीं दी, बल्कि उसके चंगे होने को वहाँ उपस्थित सभी लोगों में सुसमाचार प्रचार करने, प्रभु यीशु की मृत्यु और पुनरुत्थान का प्रचार करने के लिए भी उपयोग किया। पतरस और यूहन्ना ने अपनी कोई बड़ाई न की, और न होने दी; उन्होंने इससे पहले अपने द्वारा किए गए किसी प्रचार का, किसी कार्य का, कोई उल्लेख नहीं किया, बल्कि तुरन्त ही सारा नाम, आदर, और महिमा प्रभु परमेश्वर को दे दिया।

 

अद्भुत आश्चर्यकर्म शैतान और उसके लोग भी करते हैं (मत्ती 24:24; मरकुस 13:22; 2 थिस्सलुनीकियों 2:9-10; प्रकाशितवाक्य 13:13-14); वे झूठे प्रेरित और प्रचारक बनकर “यीशु के नाम में” भी बहुत से कार्य करते हैं (मत्ती 7:21-23; 2 कुरिन्थियों 11:3, 13-15)। लेकिन उन लोगों के इन कामों के साथ सुसमाचार का, प्रभु यीशु के सभी मनुष्यों के उद्धार के लिए मारे जाने, गाड़े जाने, तीसरे दिन जी उठने और प्रभु यीशु के नाम में पापों की क्षमा का प्रचार नहीं किया जाता है। शैतान के लोगों की इन “चंगाई और अद्भुत कामों की सभाओं” में प्रचारक का नाम और उसका बयान, उसके द्वारा किए गए प्रचार और कार्यों के बखान, उसकी सामर्थ्य की चर्चा, उसके द्वारा ‘पवित्र आत्मा’ के उपयोग किए जाने (मानो ‘पवित्र आत्मा’ उसके अधीन उसी का सेवक है) का प्रचार, आदि तो बहुत होता है। लेकिन पापों और उनके परिणाम अनन्त नरक की चर्चा, प्रभु यीशु मसीह के जीवन, मृत्यु, पुनरुत्थान की चर्चा, सुसमाचार का प्रचार, पापों से क्षमा, उद्धार की अनिवार्यता की बातें या तो होती ही नहीं हैं, या फिर बहुत कम और बड़ी ऊपरी रीति से बहुत हल्के में की जाती हैं। उनका मुख्य विषय और प्रमुख स्थान प्रचारक का नाम और बयान, और उसकी ‘पवित्र आत्मा’ को प्रयोग करने की सामर्थ्य, शारीरिक चंगाई देना, भौतिक आश्चर्यकर्म करना ही होता है। इन बातों के द्वारा, लोगों को उद्धार के सुसमाचार और पापों की क्षमा से बहका और भटका कर, शैतान के ये लोग “विश्वास से” और “यीशु के नाम में” प्रार्थना माँगने के भ्रम में लोगों को फंसाकर, अपने साथ अनन्त विनाश में ले जाते हैं।

लेकिन इनकी तुलना में, प्रभु के सच्चे शिष्यों द्वारा माँगी गई प्रार्थनाएं और किए गए कार्य हमेशा ही प्रभु यीशु, सुसमाचार के प्रचार, उद्धार, पापों के परिणाम और पापों की क्षमा, आदि पर ज़ोर देते हैं; और प्रचारक को नहीं, प्रभु परमेश्वर को ऊंचे पर उठाते हैं। अगले लेख में हम इसी विषय पर वचन से और बातों को देखेंगे।

  

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 4 - Prayer (19)

Of the necessary teachings given in God’s Word the Bible regarding practical Christian living, earlier we have seen three from Acts 2:38-40. Now, we are studying about the four things given in Acts 2:42, which the initial Christian Believers observed steadfastly. We have already seen three of the four things given here, and are now considering the fourth one, praying. Nowadays, instead of the Christian Believers observing them steadfastly, since they are observing them as a ritual, as a formality, therefore, Satan has been given an open door to bring in and spread many false teachings and concepts amongst the Christians, and he has fully made use of this opportunity. In our present study, we are looking into the wrong teachings and false concepts related to prayer. On this topic, a very prevalent and popular, but wrong teaching and false concept is that it is God’s promise that He will answer in the affirmative, all the prayers made to Him “in faith” and “in the name of Jesus.” In the preceding few articles, we have seen that God has not given this promise to everyone, but only to His true, surrendered, obedient disciples, for their prayers made according to God’s will and consistent with God’s Word. For affirmation, we had seen that during the earthly ministry of the Lord, even the true disciples of the Lord, without His permission and power, could not do those things on their own, which they had done earlier under the instructions of the Lord. In this context, we had seen in the previous article that just before His ascension to heaven the Lord had given the same ministry to the disciples as they had done while they were with Him. We had understood why, to do the same ministry, now, the disciples had to wait till they received the Holy Spirit, and only then go out for the ministry. Even those true, surrendered, obedient disciples of the Lord could not carry out that same ministry by using the phrases asking “in faith” and “in the name of Jesus.” Today too, we will continue to see and learn how these phrases have been used in the Bible.

In Acts 3:1-16 we have an account of Peter and John healing a man lame from birth and sitting outside the Temple, begging for alms. In this section, verse 2 tells us that this lame man was brought to this same place daily for begging alms. Earlier, we had seen from Luke 24:53 that while waiting for the Holy Spirit, the disciples of the Lord used to go to the Temple for prayers continually. Here too, the same thing is written in verses 1 and 3, that Peter and John were going into the Temple for prayers, when the lame man asked them for alms. It is quite possible that Peter, John, and the beggar had seen each other earlier also. But now what was different was that Peter and John had received the Holy Spirit. Now they had a new power, a new confidence, the guidance of God with them. And under this same guidance and confidence, as is written in verse 4, Peter asked the beggar to look at him, and as written in verse 6, commanded him to rise up and walk “in the name of Jesus.” Verse 7, 8 tell us that immediately he received strength in his feet and ankles, and he jumped and stood up, and went with them into the Temple, praising God. When the people saw this, they were amazed, then, in verses 12-16, Peter explained to them about the healing he had received from the Lord through the prayer asked “in faith.”

We will not go into the exposition of the events, conversations, and the related teachings given in this section. In context of the affirmation of our topic, we see that although, possibly, this was not the first time that Peter, John, and the beggar had met each other. But Peter and John had not been able to do anything for him till they had received the Holy Spirit, His power and guidance. Only after that, through Him, in the will of God, they were prompted to do this miracle by asking “in faith” and “in the name of Jesus” and in obedience to that prompting they healed that lame from birth beggar. There is another very important thing to take note of over here. As is evident from what Peter said in verses 12 to 16, they did not only give him healing, but they also used that healing to preach the gospel, the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus, to all the people who had gathered there. Peter and John neither praised themselves, nor allowed anyone else to do it; they never mentioned any earlier preaching they had done, nor did they mention anything they might have done before this. Rather, they immediately gave all the name, fame, and glory to God.

Even Satan and his agents do wondrous works and miracles (Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10; Revelation 13:13-14); they, as false apostles, do many things “in the name of Jesus” (Matthew 7:21-23; 2 Corinthians 11:3, 13-15). But along with the wondrous works that they do, the gospel, the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection for the salvation of all mankind, the forgiveness of sins in the name of Jesus is never preached. In these “Healing and Miracles” meetings and conventions by the people of Satan, the preacher’s name and description, the exaltation of his preaching and works, of his power, his ability to use ‘the holy spirit’ (as if the holy spirit is under his control to serve him), etc. are prominently displayed and announced. But the mention of sins and hell as their eternal consequence, the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus, the preaching of the gospel, of forgiveness of sins, the necessity of salvation are either never mentioned or are only mentioned very superficially, casually and insignificantly. The main purpose of these people is giving prominence to the preacher’s name and fame and his use of ‘the holy spirit,’ physical healings, and temporal miracles. Through these, they mislead the people away from the gospel of salvation and forgiveness of sins. These satanic people entice people into the deception of praying “in faith” and “in the name of Jesus” and take them away with them into eternal destruction.

In contrast, the prayers made by the true disciples of the Lord and their works, always exalt the Lord Jesus, preach about the gospel, salvation, consequences of sin and forgiveness of sins. They give prominence to the Lord God, and not the preacher. In the next article we will see more from the Word about this.

If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
