पाप का समाधान - उद्धार - 28 -

कुछ संबंधित प्रश्न और उनके उत्तर (ज़ारी)

 

पिछले लेख में हमने उद्धार से संबंधित कुछ सामान्यतः पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्नों को देखा था। आज भी हम प्रश्नों की इसी शृंखला को ज़ारी रखेंगे, और एक अन्य महत्वपूर्ण प्रश्न को देखेंगे। 

प्रश्न: क्या उद्धार खोया जा सकता है? क्या व्यक्ति का उद्धार उससे वापस लिया जा सकता है? 

उत्तर: जैसा हम उद्धार से संबंधित पिछले लेखों में बारंबार देखते चले आ रहे हैं, परमेश्वर ने अपने अनुग्रह में होकर हमें उद्धार एक उपहार के समान मुफ़्त में दिया है। उसका दिया गया यह उद्धार अनन्तकालीन है; कभी समाप्त नहीं होगा; कभी वापस नहीं लिया जाएगा; कोई व्यक्ति किसी भी रीति से अपने उद्धार को खो नहीं सकता है। 

इस प्रश्न के उत्तर को समझने के लिए, पहले परमेश्वर के कुछ गुणों का एक संक्षिप्त अवलोकन आवश्यक है; और फिर उन गुणों के आधार पर हम उत्तर को बेहतर समझने पाएंगे। 

परमेश्वर के गुण: संक्षेप में परमेश्वर के कुछ गुण और चरित्र हैं:     

• वह ईमानदार है, कभी झूठ नहीं बोलता है और कभी धोखा नहीं देता है (तीतुस 1:2)।

• वह न तो कभी गलती करता है, और न कभी बदलता है (इब्रानियों 6:17-18; याकूब 1:17)।

• वह जो कहता है, वही करता है (गिनती 23:19; भजन 89:34), और जो वह कहता है, वह हो कर रहता है, कोई उसे रोक नहीं सकता है।

• वह सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर है (उत्पत्ति 17:1; प्रकाशितवाक्य 21:22)। कोई भी, किसी भी रीति से, किसी भी शक्ति, बुद्धि, या युक्ति से, उस पर या उसकी योजनाओं और इच्छाओं पर प्रबल नहीं हो सकता है, उन्हें बदल नहीं सकता है, मिटा नहीं सकता है।

• वह हर बात के बारे में सब कुछ जानता है – सर्वज्ञानी है – आरंभ से ही अन्त को भी जानता है (यशायाह 46:10)।

• उसका वचन मनुष्य के अंदर के सबसे गहरे स्थान तक भी छेदता और उसे खोलता है, और हर बात को स्पष्ट एवं प्रकट कर देता है (इब्रानियों 4:12)।

• वह मनुष्य के विचारों के पीछे की मनसा तक को भी भली-भांति जानता है (1 इतिहास 28:9)।

• वह समय द्वारा सीमित नहीं है – उसके लिए समय का कोई अस्तित्व नहीं है (भजन 90:4; 2 पतरस 3:8) – वह कभी नहीं बदलता, कल आज और युगानुयुग तक एक समान है (मलाकी 3:6; इब्रानियों 13:8)।

 

    इसलिए परमेश्वर या परमेश्वर से संबंधित कोई भी धारणा या विचार यदि उसके उपरोक्त तथा बाइबल में वर्णित अन्य गुणों के अनुरूप नहीं है, तो वह धारणा या विचार अपूर्ण है, गलत है, परमेश्वर को अस्वीकार्य है; उसका तिरस्कार कर देना चाहिए। चाहे वह धारणा या विचार रखने वाला व्यक्ति परमेश्वर के प्रति कितने भी श्रद्धा या भक्ति-भाव रखने वाला क्यों न हो, किन्तु उसके वचन से असंगत किसी का भी कोई भी विचार परमेश्वर को कदापि स्वीकार्य नहीं है। इस अति-महत्वपूर्ण बात को ध्यान में रखते हुए बाइबल के परमेश्वर ने उद्धार के विषय जो कहा है, उसमें से कुछ बातें, और उनसे संबंधित अभिप्रायों को देखते हैं: 

 

उद्धार के विषय परमेश्वर के कुछ कथन:

• उसका उद्धार अनन्तकाल का है (2 तिमुथियुस 2:10; इब्रानियों 5:9) – ऐसी कोई भी शिक्षा जो इसे अस्वीकार, या इसका इनकार करती है, तो ऐसा करने से वह शिक्षा यह अभिप्राय देती है कि परमेश्वर और उसका वचन झूठा है, अविश्वासयोग्य है, उनमें त्रुटियाँ तथा झूठे आश्वासन हैं।

• चाहे हम अविश्वासी भी हों, तो भी वह हमारे प्रति विश्वासी बना रहेगा (2 तिमुथियुस 2:13 – यहाँ पद 12 उनके लिए है जो उद्धार के लिए प्रभु की पुकार को अस्वीकार करते रहते हैं; फिर मृत्योपरांत प्रभु भी उन्हें अस्वीकार कर देगा; 13 पद उद्धार पा लेने वालों, विश्वास करने वालों, के प्रति परमेश्वर का रवैया है); और वह हमें कभी नहीं छोड़ेगा न त्यागेगा (इब्रानियों 13:5)।

• इसी प्रभु परमेश्वर ने यूहन्ना 10:27-29 में अपने लोगों/भेड़ों के लिए कहा है कि:

• वह अपनी भेड़ों को जानता है

• वह उन्हें अनन्त जीवन देता है

• वे कभी नाश न होंगी

• कोई उन्हें उसके हाथों से नहीं छीन सकता है

   

    अभिप्राय यह कि प्रभु के उपरोक्त दावों के होते हुए भी यह धारणा रखने और मानने/सिखाने कि उद्धार जा सकता है, का अर्थ यह कहना और सिखाना है कि:

• परमेश्वर झूठा तथा अविश्वासयोग्य है – उसके कहने और करने में फर्क है। उसके दावों के बावजूद न तो वह अपनी भेड़ों को जानता है, न उन्हें अनन्त जीवन देता है, और न ही यह सुनिश्चित कर सकता है कि वे कभी नाश नहीं होंगी। अर्थात, इसलिए यह भी संभव है कि अपने दावे के बावजूद वह अपने विश्वासी के प्रति विश्वासयोग्य बना न रहे और किसी समय पर उसे त्याग दे या छोड़ दे।

• परमेश्वर सर्वशक्तिमान नहीं है – वरन सृजा गया प्रधान स्वर्गदूत लूसिफर, जो परमेश्वर के विरुद्ध की गई बगावत के कारण शैतान बन गया, सृष्टिकर्ता परमेश्वर से अधिक शक्तिशाली है – वह परमेश्वर के हाथों में से उसके उद्धार पाए हुए लोगों को अपनी किसी युक्ति अथवा शक्ति द्वारा छीन के ले जा सकता है (मत्ती 12:29; मरकुस 3:27 के साथ मिलाकर देखिए), और परमेश्वर कुछ नहीं करने पाता।

• परमेश्वर गलती कर सकता है – वह सर्वज्ञानी नहीं है; अर्थात, आदि से अन्त को नहीं जानता है, मनुष्य के विचारों और मनसा, उसके हृदय की गहराइयों को नहीं जानता है। तात्पर्य यह कि जब उसने उद्धार को अनन्तकाल का कहा, तब उसे पता नहीं था कि लोग उसके अनुग्रह का दुरुपयोग करेंगे और उद्धार पा लेने को निश्चिंत होकर पाप करते रहने का आधार बना लेंगे। उसने गलती से एक बात तो कह दी, किन्तु अब उसे निभा पाने में असमर्थ है, इसलिए अब चुपचाप से लोगों से उनके उद्धार को वापस ले लेता है।

• उद्धार पा लेने के बाद मनुष्य अपने कर्मों और व्यवहार से इतना धर्मी बना रह सकता है कि परमेश्वर को उसे स्वर्ग में स्वीकार करना ही पड़ेगा (यशायाह 64:6; अय्यूब 14:4; 15:4; 25:4-6; इफिसियों 2:1-9 से तुलना करें)। यदि यह संभव होता, तो मनुष्य फिर उद्धार से पहले भी यह कर सकता था; तो फिर प्रभु यीशु मसीह को संसार में आने, अपमानित होने, एक घृणित मृत्यु सहने की क्या आवश्यकता थी? वह तो स्वर्ग से ही मनुष्यों को प्रोत्साहित कर सकता था, उनका मार्गदर्शन कर सकता था, कि अपने कर्मों के द्वारा उद्धार प्राप्त कर लें। 

   

    उपरोक्त अभिप्रायों से प्रकट है कि उद्धार के खोए जा सकने का विचार परमेश्वर के गुणों, चरित्र, अनुग्रह, और प्रेम, के विरुद्ध कितना गलत और निन्दनीय है; इसलिए पूर्णतः अस्वीकार्य है। ऐसा विचार रखने वाले को दीन होकर पश्चाताप करने, परमेश्वर से उसके विरुद्ध ऐसे कुविचार रखने के लिए क्षमा माँगने की आवश्यकता है। एक अन्य इससे संबंधित प्रश्न उठाया जाता है कि यदि उद्धार कभी नहीं जा सकता है, तब तो परमेश्वर ने मनुष्यों को पाप करने का लाइसेंस दे दिया है - एक बार उद्धार पा लो, और फिर उसके बाद जैसा चाहो वैसा करो, क्योंकि उद्धार तो जाएगा नहीं, स्वर्ग तो हर हाल में मिलेगा ही। यह भी शैतान द्वारा फैलाई जाने वाली एक गलत शिक्षा, एक गलत धारणा है, और इसे हम कल देखेंगे। अभी के लिए, आप से विनम्र निवेदन है कि यदि आप ने अभी तक प्रभु यीशु को अपना उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार नहीं किया है, उसके शिष्य नहीं बने हैं, तो आज और अभी, जब यह अवसर आपके पास है, तो इसे व्यर्थ न जाने दें; प्रभु के इस आह्वान को स्वीकार कर लें, अपने जीवन में कार्यान्वित कर लें। कल तो क्या, अगले पल को भी किसी ने नहीं देखा है, कब क्या हो जाए, कोई नहीं जानता है; इसलिए अवसर को बहुमूल्य समझें और सही निर्णय ले लीजिए। स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ आपके द्वारा की गई एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को आशीषित तथा स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा। अभी अवसर है, अभी प्रभु का निमंत्रण आपके लिए है - उसे स्वीकार कर लीजिए।

Some Related Questions and their Answers (Contd.)

In the previous article, we had seen some commonly asked questions regarding salvation, and their answers. We will continue looking at further questions, and today we will be considering one very important question.

Question: Can salvation be lost? Can a person’s salvation be taken away from him?

Answer: As we have been repeatedly seeing in the previous articles concerning salvation, God has given salvation to us in His grace, as a free gift. This salvation that He has bestowed upon us is eternal; it will never come to an end; it will never be taken back; no person, once saved, can ever lose his salvation by any means.

To understand this answer, we need to first do a quick review of some of God’s characteristics and attributes; and then based on them, we will be able to understand the answer better.

Some Attributes and Characteristics of God, in brief, are:

• He is completely honest, and never lies, never deceives anybody (Titus 1:2).

• He neither makes any mistake, nor ever changes (Hebrews 6:17-18; James 1:17).

• He always does what He says (Numbers 23:19; Psalms 89:34), and whatever He has said, always happens; no one stop it from being fulfiled.

• He is the omnipotent God (Genesis 17:1; Revelations 21:22). No one, by any means, or power, or wisdom, or trick, can ever overpower or outwit Him, His will, or His plans - they cannot be changed or overturned by anyone.

• He knows everything about everything - is omniscient - He knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10).

• His Word pricks and lays open the deepest part of man, exposing and making evident everything inside him (Hebrews 4:12).

• He very well knows even the intents behind the thoughts of man (1 Chronicles 28:9).

• He is not limited by time - time does not exist for Him (Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8) - He never changes, remains the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow (Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8).

    Therefore, if any notion, any thought or point-of-view is not in accordance with the attributes and characteristics of God, then it is false, incomplete, unacceptable before God, and has to be rejected. It is absolutely inconsequential, how pious and religious the person having such wrong notions is, but anything inconsistent with what God’s Word teaches about God, is never to be accepted from anyone. Keeping this extremely important fact in mind, let us look at some of the things that the God of the Bible has stated about salvation, and their implications.

Some Statements of God regarding Salvation:

• His salvation is eternal (2 Timothy 2:10; Hebrews 5:9) - any teaching or doctrine that negates or rejects these verses, implies that God is a liar and His Word is a lie, they cannot be relied and believed upon, there are errors and false assurances in them.

• Even if we are unbelieving and faithless towards Him, yet He always remains faithful towards us (2 Timothy 2:13; Note - this verse 13 is God’s attitude towards those who are Believers, who have obtained salvation; the preceding verse 12 is regarding those who keep on rejecting God’s call to salvation to them; therefore, after their death, God too will reject them); and He has promised to never leave nor forsake us, ever (Hebrews 13:5). 

• That is why, in John 10:27-29, God has said about His sheep, i.e., His people:

• He knows them

• He gives them eternal life

• They will never perish

• No one can snatch them out of His hands

    Therefore, the evident implication of the above statements is that despite the afore-mentioned facts about God and His salvation, if someone still maintains, and teaches that salvation can be lost, then what that person believes in and teaches is tantamount to saying: 

• God is a liar, and cannot be relied upon - there is no consistency between what He says and what He does. Despite His claims to the contrary, He neither knows all His sheep, nor does He give all of them eternal life, nor can He make sure that they will never perish. Therefore, He cannot be relied upon to always remain faithful towards His Believers, and is liable to abandon His people at any time.

• God is not omnipotent - rather, the created archangel Lucifer, who became Satan because of rebelling against God, he is more powerful and wiser than God - because he can by his power and devious tricks, take the people away, out of the hands of God (read Matthew 12:29 along with Mark 3:27), and God can do nothing, remaining helpless about it.

• God can make mistakes - He is not omniscient; i.e., does not actually know the end from the beginning, does not know what is in the heart of man, nor knows the intents and thoughts of man. Meaning, when He called salvation to be “eternal”, He had not actually realized that people will misuse His grace, and having been saved, will become complacent about salvation, continue to sin with impunity, being assured of heaven for eternity. He erroneously gave an assurance, a statement, and is now incapable of fulfilling it, therefore quietly, He takes away the salvation from people.

• After salvation, man can, through his works and behavior, make himself so holy and righteous, that God will be compelled to accept him in heaven (compare this thought with Isaiah 64:6; Job 14:4; 15:4; 25:4-6; Ephesians 2:1-9). If this would be possible, then man could have done the same works and behavior before being saved, and there would have been no need for the Lord Jesus Christ to come to earth, be humiliated, and suffer a shameful and demeaning death? Instead, He could have encouraged and guided people from heaven itself, how they could be saved and become righteous by their works and behavior.

    It is clear from the above, how wrong and abhorrent to God’s attributes, characteristics, love, and grace this notion of salvation being lost is; and is absolutely unacceptable. Anyone harboring such thoughts should repent, humble himself, and ask for God’s forgiveness for allowing such thoughts against God to come in him. Another related question that is raised with this question is that if salvation can never be lost, then God has given an unbridled licence to sin to man - be saved once, and after that do what you feel like, live as you want to, since salvation will not be lost, entry into heaven will never be denied. This too is a wrong teaching taught and popularized by Satan, and we will start considering it from the next article.

For now, rest assured that the Lord Jesus has done His part; He has made ready and available salvation with all the benefits freely to everyone; but have you accepted His offer? Have you taken His hand of love and grace extended towards you and the free gift He offers; or are you still determined to do that which no man can ever accomplish through his own efforts?

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

    प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा समस्त मानवजाति के लिए किए गए इस महान उद्धार तथा पापों के समाधान एवं निवारण के कार्य को लेकर लोगों के मनों में कई प्रश्न भी रहते हैं। सामान्यतः पूछे जाने वाले कुछ प्रश्न और उनके उत्तर हैं:

प्रश्न: जब पाप का दण्डात्मक दुष्प्रभाव वंशागत हो सकता है, तो उद्धार का आशीषपूर्ण रक्षक प्रभाव वंशागत क्यों नहीं हो सकता है? क्यों प्रत्येक को अपने ही पापों के क्षमा मिलती है; वह क्षमा उसकी संतानों पर क्यों नहीं जाती है?

प्रश्न: उद्धार पाने के पश्चात भी लोग पाप क्यों करते हैं, पवित्र और सिद्ध क्यों नहीं हो जाते हैं?

    उत्तर: जैसा इससे पहले के प्रश्न में समझाया गया है, उद्धार पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी अभी भी शारीरिक रीति से पाप के दोष और प्रभाव वाली देह में जीवित हैं। इसलिए उनका पाप करने का पुराना स्वभाव, उनके प्रभु यीशु का अनुसरण करने के नए स्वभाव के साथ संघर्ष करता रहता है, उन्हें वापस पाप में फँसाने और गिराने का प्रयास करता रहता है “क्योंकि शरीर आत्मा के विरोध में, और आत्मा शरीर के विरोध में लालसा करती है, और ये एक दूसरे के विरोधी हैं; इसलिये कि जो तुम करना चाहते हो वह न करने पाओ” (गलातियों 5:17)। जब कभी शरीर की लालसाएँ आत्मा पर हावी हो जाती हैं, मनुष्य पाप में गिर जाता है। किन्तु मसीही विश्वासी पाप में बना नहीं रह सकता है “जो कोई परमेश्वर से जन्मा है वह पाप नहीं करता; क्योंकि उसका बीज उस में बना रहता है: और वह पाप कर ही नहीं सकता [मूल भाषा में लिखे वाक्य का अभिप्राय है ‘वह पाप में बना नहीं रह सकता है], क्योंकि परमेश्वर से जन्मा है” (1 यूहन्ना 3:9)। उसमें विद्यमान परमेश्वर का आत्मा उसे उसके इस पाप में गिर जाने, पाप में होने की दशा के लिए कायल करता है, पश्चाताप के लिए उभारता है, और जब वह अपने पाप को मान लेता है, उसके लिए पश्चाताप करके परमेश्वर से क्षमा माँगता है, तो परमेश्वर का वायदा है कि “यदि हम अपने पापों को मान लें, तो वह हमारे पापों को क्षमा करने, और हमें सब अधर्म से शुद्ध करने में विश्वासयोग्य और धर्मी है” (1 यूहन्ना 1:9)। 

    दूसरी बात, उद्धार पाने के बाद, परमेश्वर हमें अंश-अंश करके प्रभु यीशु की समानता में परिवर्तित करता जा रहा है “...तो प्रभु के द्वारा जो आत्मा है, हम उसी तेजस्वी रूप में अंश अंश कर के बदलते जाते हैं” (2 कुरिन्थियों 3:18)। इसलिए उद्धार पाए हुए प्रत्येक व्यक्ति में सदैव ही, जब तक वह इस शरीर और संसार में है, कुछ सांसारिक और शारीरिक तथा कुछ आत्मिक और स्वर्गीय गुण विद्यमान होंगे। मसीही विश्वास, तथा परमेश्वर के वचन और आज्ञाकारिता में परिपक्व होते जाने से उसमें से सांसारिक और शारीरिक बातें धीरे-धीरे कम होती चली जाएंगी, और स्वर्गीय तथा आत्मिक बातें बढ़ती चली जाएंगी। किन्तु पूर्ण पवित्रता और सिद्धता वह इस शरीर से निकल कर अविनाशी देह में आने के बाद ही पाएगा। इसलिए हर उद्धार पाए हुए व्यक्ति में, कोई न कोई अपूर्णता, सांसारिकता की बात, शरीर की लालसा देखी जाएगी। इसका यह अर्थ नहीं है कि वह उद्धार पाया हुआ नहीं है; वरन यह कि वह अभी “निर्माणाधीन” है, उसमें चल रहा परमेश्वर का कार्य अभी पूरा नहीं हुआ है, इसलिए कुछ कमियाँ, कुछ त्रुटियाँ दिख सकती हैं, और दिखती रहती हैं। किन्तु उसका अनन्तकालीन भविष्य स्वर्गीय सिद्धता, पवित्रता, और आशीषपूर्ण है। 

प्रश्न: जब प्रभु ने सब के पापों के लिए दंड सह लिया है, उनकी पूरी-पूरी कीमत चुका दी है, तो फिर सभी स्वर्ग के वारिस क्यों नहीं हैं? फिर क्यों लोगों को प्रभु यीशु मसीह में अलग से विश्वास करने की आवश्यकता है? 

    उत्तर: इसका उत्तर समझने के लिए दो उदाहरण देखिए। मान लीजिए, मैं आपके लिए एक बहुत उत्तम और आपके जीवन के लिए बहुत लाभकारी उपहार लेता हूँ, और आपको उसे एक भेंट के रूप में मुफ़्त में देना चाहता हूँ। मैं आपको उसके लिए बारंबार बताता रहता हूँ कि मैंने आपके लिए एक बहुत उपयोगी उपहार ले कर रखा हुआ है, जब भी मन करे कभी भी आकर मुझ से उस उपहार को ले लें। किन्तु आप मुझ पर, मेरी मंशा पर, मेरे उस उपहार पर संदेह करते हैं, उन्हें अस्वीकार करते हैं, मेरे इस निमंत्रण को स्वीकार नहीं करते, मुझ से वह उपहार लेने के लिए नहीं आते हैं; तो क्या वह उपहार, जिसकी पूरी कीमत चुकाई जा चुकी है, जो आपको केवल मुझ से लेकर अपने लिए उपयोग भर ही करना है, आपको कोई लाभ दे सकता है? या मान लीजिए, आप उस उपहार को मुझ से ले भी लेते हैं, किन्तु उसकी गुणवत्ता पर, उसकी उपयोगिता पर, उसे आपको देने के पीछे मेरी मंशा पर, या अन्य किसी भी कारण से उस उपहार पर और मुझ पर संदेह करते हैं, उसे अपने लिए आवश्यक नहीं समझते हैं, अपने उपयोग में नहीं लाते हैं, तो क्या मेरे द्वारा उस उपहार की कीमत चुकाने और उसे आपको उपलब्ध करवा देने से आपको कोई लाभ होगा? 

    यही बात प्रभु यीशु मसीह द्वारा उपलब्ध करवाए गए पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार के उपहार के लिए भी लागू है। यदि आप उसे अपनाएंगे ही नहीं; उसे अपने जीवन में कार्यकारी ही नहीं करेंगे तो फिर वह आपके जीवन में लाभकारी कैसे होगा? प्रभु यीशु कहते हैं कि “मैं तुम्हारे पाप अपने ऊपर लेता हूँ, और बदले में अपनी धार्मिकता तुम्हें देता हूँ” और आप कहें, नहीं मुझे यह स्वीकार नहीं है; मैं अपने पाप अपने पास रखूँगा, आप अपनी धार्मिकता अपने पास रखिए। मैं अपने पापों का समाधान और निवारण अपने तरीके से निकाल लूँगा और कर लूँगा, मुझे आपके समाधान और निवारण की आवश्यकता नहीं है। ऐसे में प्रभु यीशु द्वारा क्रूस पर किए गए कार्य और उनके पुनरुत्थान का आपके जीवन में क्या उपयोगिता अथवा महत्व रहा? फिर प्रभु का वह बलिदान आपके लिए कैसे कार्यकारी और लाभकारी हो सकेगा? ऐसे में तो आप वहीं रहेंगे जहाँ हैं, जैसे हैं; और सब कुछ तैयार एवं उपलब्ध होने के बावजूद, उसका कोई लाभ नहीं उठाने पाएंगे। 

    एक अन्य कारण से भी प्रभु द्वारा उपलब्ध करवाया गया यह समाधान लोगों के जीवनों में कार्यकारी एवं उपयोगी नहीं होने पाता है। एक और उदाहरण से समझिए; हम सभी कंप्यूटर और मोबाइल फोन प्रयोग करते हैं। इसलिए हम यह भी जानते हैं कि हमारे कंप्यूटर अथवा फोन में डाले हुए प्रोग्राम या एप्प के बनाने वाले समय-समय पर उनके और उन्नत तथा बेहतर संस्करण, अर्थात ‘अपडेट’ निकालते रहते हैं, जिससे वह प्रोग्राम या एप्प और बेहतर कार्य कर सके। कभी-कभी कुछ अपडेट ऐसे भी आते हैं जिन्हें लागू करने के लिए पुराने संस्करण को मिटाना या ‘अन-इंस्टाल’ करना होता है, और फिर उस पुराने के स्थान पर नए वाले को ‘इंस्टाल’ करना होता है। यदि आप नया संस्करण डाउनलोड भी कर लें, किन्तु पुराने को ‘अन-इंस्टाल’ करने की अनुमति न दें, पुराने को ‘अन-इंस्टाल’ नहीं करें, तो वह नया फिर कैसे लागू होगा और आपके किस काम का होगा? ऐसे में उस प्रोग्राम या एप्प के बनाने वाले और उसे उपलब्ध करवाने वाले की मेहनत और प्रयास आपके लिए क्या लाभ देंगे? बहुत से लोग मसीही जीवन का लाभ तो उठाना चाहते हैं, किन्तु अपने पुराने सांसारिक जीवन और पुरानी शारीरिक बातों को छोड़ना नहीं चाहते हैं। जबकि प्रभु कहता है कि पुराने जीवन से पश्चाताप और छुटकारे के साथ ही मसीही विश्वास का नया जीवन कार्यान्वित, उपयोगी और लाभकारी हो सकता है। जब तक पुराना पापमय जीवन रहेगा तब तक नया कुछ काम नहीं कर सकेगा। लोगों को नए जीवन का पता है, वे उसे चाहते हैं, किन्तु नए को पुराने के साथ मिलाकर चलाना चाहते हैं, जो संभव नहीं है। इसलिए उनके जीवन में पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार का कार्य भी कार्यकारी नहीं रहता है।

    शैतान तो सांसारिक ज्ञान, बुद्धि, समझ, धर्म, मत, विचारधारा, आदि के आधार पर मन में परमेश्वर के कार्य के प्रति संदेह उत्पन्न करता ही रहेगा; अनेकों प्रकार से प्रश्न उठाता ही रहेगा और उलझाता ही रहेगा - वह तो अदन की वाटिका के प्रथम पाप के समय से यह करता चला आ रहा है। उसके भ्रम, उसकी इस चालाकी में फँसने की बजाए, प्रभु यीशु पर, उसके जीवन, शिक्षाओं, कार्यों, और मानवजाति के लिए दिए गए बलिदान, तथा उनके मृतकों में से पुनरुत्थान की सामर्थ्य पर; वह आपको क्या देना चाहता है और आप से बदले में क्या चाहता है, आदि बातों पर ध्यान लगाइए, उन पर विचार कीजिए, तब सही बात तथा सही निर्णय आपके सामने स्वतः ही स्पष्ट एवं प्रकट हो जाएगा। फिर यीशु मसीह को अपना प्रभु और उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करने में आपको कोई संकोच नहीं रहेगा। स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ आपके द्वारा की गई एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को आशीषित तथा स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा। अभी अवसर है, अभी प्रभु का निमंत्रण आपके लिए है - उसे स्वीकार कर लीजिए।

Some Related Questions and their Answers

Many people have questions regarding this great salvation and solution to the problem of sin, freely provided by the Lord Jesus for the entire mankind. Some of the commonly asked questions, and their answers are:

Question: If the deleterious effect of sin resulting in punishment can be hereditary, then why can the saving effect of salvation that brings blessings not be hereditary too? Why is it that every person is forgiven his own sins; why does that forgiveness not go down to his posterity?

Answer: This is an evident and understood fact that man’s earthly body is perishable, has the sin nature, and the sin nature and its effect - death, is passed on from one generation to another, therefore each earthly body has to die. When the Lord Jesus had taken upon His sinless body the guilt of sin of the entire mankind, then His body too had to suffer death. Presently, till the second coming of the Lord, the earthly body of the Christian Believers, the saved ones, is still not the heavenly glorious body as the Lord Jesus had after His resurrection, and one that will be given to the Believers, the disciples of Christ, at the second coming of the Lord Jesus, once they too have gone through death like the Lord. After the resurrection, the Lord Jesus was not only a spirit, He said and proved to His disciples that He was with them not as a spirit but in body “Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have” (Luke 24:39; read Luke 24:36-43). Similarly, the disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ too, at the second coming of Christ, those who have died will be resurrected in their new glorious heavenly body, and those who are alive at that time, their bodies will be converted to into that new body “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:52-53); that new body will be free of the guilt and effect of sin - death. Because presently the bodies of the Christian Believers do not have the characteristics of the glorious heavenly body, therefore they cannot pass on these characteristics to their children; they can only pass on, and do pass on, the characteristics of their current perishable bodies with a sin nature “Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!” (Job 14:4).

Question: Why do people keep sinning even after being Born-Again, receiving salvation; why do they no become holy and perfect?

Answer: As has been explained in the answer to the previous question, given above, the saved and Born-Again Christian Believers are still living in their earthly bodies that have the sin nature and effects of sin in them. Therefore, their old nature having the tendency to sin keeps on fighting with their new spiritual nature, and keeps on trying to bring them back into committing sin, into falling into sin “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish” (Galatians 5:17). Whenever the desires and lusts of the body gain an upper hand on their spirit, they commit sin. But a Christian Believer cannot continue to remain in sin, “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin [the sentence in the original language implies ‘cannot remain in or continue in sin’], because he has been born of God” (1 John 3:9). The Spirit of God present in him, convicts him of having fallen into sin and being in state of sin, and provokes him to repent of the sin; when he repents and asks for God’s forgiveness, then it is God’s promise that “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Secondly, after our salvation, the God is continuing to change us into the likeness of the Lord Jesus, bit by bit “... are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18). Therefore, every Born-Again and saved Believer, as long as he is in this body, will continue to have some characteristics of his earthly body and its worldly desires, and some heavenly and spiritual characteristics. As he grows and matures in his spiritual life, in obedience to God and His Word, the earthly and worldly features will continue to diminish and the heavenly and spiritual will continue to increase. But the complete perfection and holiness will only come after he passes away from this physical body into the heavenly body. Therefore, in every saved and Born-Again person, there will always be some imperfection, spiritual deficiency, worldly desires and physical characteristics. This does not mean that he is not Born-Again or saved; but just that he is still “under construction” by God, and God’s work of changing him is still not completed, therefore, some deficiencies and imperfections are seen in him. But his blessed eternal future, heavenly perfection, and holiness are assured and awaiting him.

Question: When the Lord has suffered death for everyone, paid in full for their sins, then why is everyone not an inheritor of heaven? Why do people still have to individually believe in the Lord Jesus?

Answer: To understand the answer to this, consider two examples. Suppose, I procure an excellent and very expensive gift for you that will be very useful for you in your life, and I want to give it you as a present out of my love and care for you.  I keep telling you time and again that I have something very good and useful for you, that I want to present you with, please come at any convenient time and collect it from me. But you doubt me, my intentions, the necessity of that gift, and never come to collect that gift from me. In a way you have rejected that gift, which is very expensive, has been paid for in full, is very useful and beneficial for you, and all you have to do is collect it from me and start using it. Can that gift be considered to be of any use or benefit for you? Or, supposing you do come and collect it from me, but you continue to doubt me, my intentions, the quality, utility, and effectiveness of that gift, and for these or any other reasons, do not consider it to be of any use for yourself, never put that gift to any use in your life, and let it lie unused with you. In either of these situations, will my having procured that gift, paid for it, made it available to you for free as a gift of love, be of any use for you, although that gift is there and waiting to be put to use by you?

The same thing is applicable to the free gift of salvation procured and freely made available for the entire mankind. Unless it is received, believed upon, and put into use in one’s life, it remains unutilized and inefficacious, its benefits remain non-applicable. The Lord Jesus says, “I have taken your sins upon myself, and am giving my righteousness to you in their place”, and you say to Him, “No! This is not acceptable to me. You keep your righteousness with yourself, and I will keep my sins with myself. I will find my own solution to the problem of my sins; I do not need the solution you have made and provided for my sins.” In such a situation, of what use is the work done by the Lord Jesus on the Cross of Calvary, His sacrifice, death, and resurrection - of what use are they for you? How can that sacrifice and work be effective and beneficial for you? In such a situation, you will remain where you are and as you are; and despite everything being ready and made freely available for you, you will not be able to receive any benefit from it.

There is another reason as well, why the solution prepared and made available by the Lord Jesus remains unutilized and ineffective in the lives of people. Understand this with another example; we all, or most of us, use either the mobile phone or the computer. That is why we are aware that those who create and provide Apps and programs to be installed and used in our phones and computers, keep releasing updates and improved versions of their programs, so that those Apps and programs continue to function optimally. Sometimes, there are some updates, which require uninstalling the previous outdated version before installing the new updated version. Even though you may download the new updated version, but do not allow the old out-dated version to be uninstalled, then how can that newer and better version be installed and become useful for you? In such a situation, of what use and benefit is the work and effort of the creator of that App or program, for you? Similarly, many people want to have the benefits of Christian Believer’s life, but do not want to get rid of, or “uninstall” their old worldly life and their physical lusts and desires. The Lord says that only by getting rid of the old life through repentance and asking for forgiveness, will you be able to bring in and put to use the new and beneficial heavenly, spiritual life. As long as the old sinful life remains in you, till then the new spiritual life of God’s righteousness will not be able to work. People know about this new life, they want to have its benefits too, but they want to have it along with their old sinful life - to enjoy the desires of the flesh, as well as gain the benefits of the spiritual life; and that cannot happen. Therefore, in the lives of such people, who want to have the benefits of both sides, the forgiveness of sins and works of salvation are never at work or efficacious.

Satan, through worldly knowledge, wisdom, understanding, religion, opinions, points-of-view, etc., will continue to bring doubts regarding God’s work, and will continue to raise many questions, continue to beguile and confuse you - he has been doing this since the time of the first sin committed in the Garden of Eden. Instead of falling for his deceptions and deviousness, ponder over and study the life of the Lord Jesus Christ, His works, His teachings, His love for sinners, His sacrifice for mankind, His power of resurrection, what He wants to give to you and what He wants to take away from you, etc. As you prayerfully, sincerely, and with a humble heart think over these aspects, the truth and the right decision will automatically become apparent to you, and you will have no hesitation in accepting the Lord Jesus as your saviour.

The Lord Jesus has done His part; He has made ready and available salvation with all the benefits freely to everyone; but have you accepted His offer? Have you taken His hand of love and grace extended towards you and the free gift He offers; or are you still determined to do that which no man can ever accomplish through his own efforts?

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.

उद्धार के परिणाम, आशीषें, और सुरक्षा 

पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि प्रभु यीशु मसीह को स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से अपना उद्धारकर्ता ग्रहण करने और उसका शिष्य होकर उसकी आज्ञाकारिता में उसे समर्पित जीवन जीने का निर्णय लेने को ही उद्धार या नया जन्म पाना कहते हैं। नया जन्म पाने पर व्यक्ति नश्वर सांसारिक जीवन से अविनाशी आत्मिक जीवन में एक आत्मिक शिशु के समान जन्म लेता है। उद्धार या नया जन्म पल भर में, किए गए निर्णय के साथ मिल जाता है, किन्तु उसे निभाना, उसके अनुसार जीवन जीना सीखना, उसे व्यावहारिक रीति से अपने जीवन में प्रदर्शित करना, उसमें परिपक्व होते जाना, सक्षम होते जाना - यह सब जीवन भर चलते रहने वाला अभ्यास और परिश्रम है। उद्धार या नया जन्म पाना एक आरंभ है, अपने आप में अंत नहीं है। इसके लिए किसी भी धर्म, जाति, स्तर, कार्य, संपत्ति, शिक्षा, स्थान, समय, आयु आदि बातों की कोई बंदिश कोई महत्व नहीं है। यह हर किसी मनुष्य के द्वारा अपने लिए व्यक्तिगत रीति से लिया जाने वाला निर्णय है - उनके लिए भी जो ईसाई धर्म मानने वाले, या मसीही विश्वासी परिवारों में जन्म लेते हैं, और अपने धर्म या विश्वास से संबंधित सभी रीतियों, कार्यों, अनुष्ठानों को पूरा करते हैं - इनमें से कोई भी बात उन्हें व्यक्तिगत रीति से अपने पापों से पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु को अपना उद्धारकर्ता ग्रहण कर लेने और उसका शिष्य बन जाने के द्वारा उद्धार या नया जन्म पाने से बचे रहने का अधिकार नहीं देती है (प्रेरितों 17:30), क्योंकि उद्धार या नया जन्म वंशागत नहीं है, और न ही किसी भी धर्म के निर्वाह से संबंधित है।  

पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार पाने के अतिरिक्त क्या मसीही विश्वास को स्वीकार करने के और भी कोई लाभ हैं? जब एक शिशु जन्म लेता है, तो उसका ध्यान रखने और उसे उचित पालन-पोषण देने के लिए माता-पिता तथा परिवार जन हर एक आवश्यक बात उपलब्ध करवाते हैं। उसी प्रकार आत्मिक परिवार में जन्म लेने पर, परमेश्वर भी अपने नवजात आत्मिक शिशु की परवरिश के लिए सभी उचित बातें, सुरक्षा, और आवश्यक सहायता उपलब्ध करवाता है। उद्धार के साथ जो बातें प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को परमेश्वर की ओर से मसीही जीवन जीने के लिए उपलब्ध कर दी जाती हैं, वे हैं:

• वह उद्धार पाते ही परमेश्वर के परिवार का सदस्य (इफिसियों 2:19), परमेश्वर की संतान बन जाता है (यूहन्ना 1:12-13)।

• वह परमेश्वर पिता और परमेश्वर पुत्र - प्रभु यीशु के हाथों में सुरक्षित रहता है (यूहन्ना 10:28-29)।

• उसे सिखाने और संभालने के लिए परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उसके मन में आकर बस जाता है (यूहन्ना 14:26; 16:13-15; इफिसियों 1:13-14; गलातीयों 3:2), उसकी देह पवित्र आत्मा का मन्दिर बन जाती है (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16; 6:19)। 

• उसका पोषण परमेश्वर के वचन के द्वारा किया जाता है (1 पतरस 2:2)। यह वचन ही उसका मार्गदर्शक (भजन 119:105), उसे पाप करने से बचाए रखने वाला (भजन 119:9, 11), और उसे बुद्धिमान बनाता है (भजन 119:98-110, 104)। 

• उसे परमेश्वर की ओर से प्रतिज्ञा है कि उस पर कोई भी ऐसी परीक्षा नहीं आएगी, जो उसके सहने की क्षमता से बाहर है, वरन उस सीमा के अंदर भी उसे परीक्षा से बच कर सुरक्षित निकलने का मार्ग दिया जाएगा (1 कुरिन्थियों 10:13)। शैतान भी उसे परमेश्वर द्वारा निर्धारित सीमा से अधिक नहीं छू सकता है (अय्यूब 1:10-12)। 

• यदि उससे कोई पाप हो जाए, और वह अपने पाप को स्वीकार करके परमेश्वर से उसके लिए क्षमा माँग ले, तो परमेश्वर उसे क्षमा भी कर देगा (1 यूहन्ना 1:9)। 

• परमेश्वर ने अपने स्‍वर्गदूतों को उसकी सेवा करने वाले बना दिया है (इब्रानियों 1:14)। 

    परमेश्वर की ओर से यह सारी सहायता और सुरक्षा पापों से पश्चाताप करने और प्रभु यीशु को उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार कर लेने वाले प्रत्येक जन तुरंत ही, उसके नया जन्म पाने के साथ ही उपलब्ध हो जाती है। इसके बाद, उसके मसीही जीवन में प्रगति और उन्नति करने के लिए, परमेश्वर के लिए उपयोगी होने के लिए, मसीही जीवन को जी कर दिखाने के लिए, परमेश्वर अन्य अनेकों प्रकार से उसकी सहायता करता रहता है, उसे समय और परिस्थिति के अनुसार आवश्यक बल, बुद्धि, ज्ञान, और मार्गदर्शन आदि प्रदान करता रहता है। कोई भी वास्तविक मसीही विश्वासी, आजीवन कभी भी, परमेश्वर से दूर अकेला, या उसकी दृष्टि से ओझल, और उसकी देखभाल से बाहर नहीं रहता है। परमेश्वर की उपस्थिति सदा उसके साथ बनी रहती है, उसे संभाले रहती है। 

    क्या ऐसी अद्भुत परवरिश, सहायता, देखभाल और आशीषें मसीही विश्वास के अतिरिक्त और कहीं पर उपलब्ध हैं - और वो भी सेंत-मेंत तथा सीधे परमेश्वर से? तो फिर क्यों इन अनुपम, अद्भुत, सर्वोत्तम आशीषों से दूर रहना? हमारा कृपालु और अनुग्रहकारी प्रभु परमेश्वर तो हर प्रकार से हमारी भलाई ही चाहता है, तो फिर उसके प्रस्ताव को स्वीकार करने में क्या एतराज है? यीशु मसीह को अपना प्रभु और उद्धारकर्ता स्वीकार करने में आपको किस बात का संकोच है? स्वेच्छा से, सच्चे और पूर्णतः समर्पित मन से, अपने पापों के प्रति सच्चे पश्चाताप के साथ एक छोटी प्रार्थना, “हे प्रभु यीशु मैं मान लेता हूँ कि मैंने जाने-अनजाने में, मन-ध्यान-विचार और व्यवहार में आपकी अनाज्ञाकारिता की है, पाप किए हैं। मैं मान लेता हूँ कि आपने क्रूस पर दिए गए अपने बलिदान के द्वारा मेरे पापों के दण्ड को अपने ऊपर लेकर पूर्णतः सह लिया, उन पापों की पूरी-पूरी कीमत सदा काल के लिए चुका दी है। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मेरे मन को अपनी ओर परिवर्तित करें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें, अपने साथ कर लें।” आपका सच्चे मन से लिया गया मन परिवर्तन का यह निर्णय आपके इस जीवन तथा परलोक के जीवन को स्वर्गीय जीवन बना देगा।

The Solution for Sin - Salvation - 26

Results, Blessings, and Security of Salvation

    In the previous article we have seen that voluntarily and sincerely accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as savior, and deciding to live a life of obedience and submission to Him is known as being saved or being Born-Again. On being Born-Again, person is born out of the perishing temporal worldly life, into imperishable eternal spiritual life, as a spiritual infant. Salvation, or New Birth is received in a moment, on making the decision, but to fulfil it, to learn to live one’s life according to it, to practically demonstrate it in one’s life, to grow and mature in it, to live out its capabilities - all of this is an exercise and efforts of a life-time. Being saved, or being Born-Again is only the beginning, and not an end in itself. There is no role or importance of any religion, caste, status, occupation, possessions, education, place, time, age, etc. of the person. This is through every person’s own decision for himself - even for those who follow the Christian religion, or belong to families of Christian Believers, and fulfill all the rites and rituals, works, and traditions of their religion or denomination or group. None of these things gives them any right to escape personally repenting of their sins, accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior, and by being saved or Born-Again becoming His disciple (Acts 17:30); since salvation of being Born-Again is not inherited, and neither is it related in any way to following a particular religion.

Other than receiving forgiveness of sins and salvation are there any other benefits of accepting the Christian Faith? When an infant is born in a family, to safeguard and nurture the infant, the parents and members of the family provide everything required for maintaining the security, nourishment, and growth of the infant. Similarly, on being born into His spiritual family, God too provides the necessary things, the security, and required help for the spiritual infant to be nourished and grow properly. The things made available by God to every Christian Believer to live a Christian life are:

• From the moment of being saved he becomes a member of God’s family (Ephesians 2:19), a child of God (John 1:12-13).

• He is kept secure in the hands of God the Father and God the Son - the Lord Jesus (John 10:28-29).

• To teach and keep him safe, God the Holy Spirit comes to reside in Him and stays with him forever (John 14:26; 16:13-15; Ephesians 1:13-14; Galatians 3:2); his body becomes the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19).

• He is nourished and built up by the Word of God (1 Peter 2:2). God’s Word becomes his guide (Psalm 119:105), and helps him to stay safe from sinning (Psalm 119:9, 11), and makes him wise (Psalm 119:98-110, 104).

• He has God’s promise that he will never pass through any temptation or testing that is beyond his limits of endurance; and even within that limit, he will be provided the way to safely escape from that temptation or testing (1 Corinthians 10:13). Even Satan cannot touch and test him beyond the limits and parameters determined by God (Job 1:10-12).

• If he commits any sin, then he has God’s assurance that if he confesses his sin asks God’s forgiveness for it, he will be forgiven (1 John 1:9).

• God has made His angels his serving spirits (Hebrews 1:14).

All of this help and security, these provisions from God immediately become effective in the life of every person who repents of his sins and accepts the Lord Jesus as his savior, everyone who is Born-Again. From here onwards, to help him grow and mature in his Christian life, to become useful and effective for the Lord God, to be able to live and practically demonstrate the life of Christian Faith, God continues to help and provide for him in many different ways; continues to give him the required strength, wisdom, knowledge, and guidance as per the need of the hour and the circumstances. No Christian Believer is ever alone or out of sight of the Lord God, ever throughout his lifetime, and God’s care and provisions are always kept available to him. God’s presence remains with him always and safeguards him. 

Is such an amazing nurturing, help, care, and blessings available anywhere outside of the Christian Faith, and that too absolutely freely, and directly from God? Then why should we remain away from such inimitable, extra-ordinary, and superlative blessings? Our kind and gracious God only desires that which is best for us in every possible way, then why should we be reluctant or unwilling to accept His proposal for us? Why shouldn’t you accept the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

The Lord Jesus has done His part; He has made ready and available salvation with all the benefits freely to everyone; but have you accepted His offer? Have you taken His hand of love and grace extended towards you and the free gift He offers; or are you still determined to do that which no man can ever accomplish through his own efforts?

If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the opportunity to do so right now. A short prayer said voluntarily with a sincere heart, with heart-felt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company, wants to see you blessed; but to make this possible, is your personal decision. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so - the decision is yours.
