मसीही जीवन के चार स्तम्भ - 4 - प्रार्थना (28)
जैसा कि हम प्रेरितों 2:42 से देखते हैं, आरम्भिक मसीही विश्वासी, व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन से सम्बन्धित चार बातों में लौलीन रहते थे। हम व्यवहारिक मसीही जीवन जीने से सम्बन्धित इन चारों बातों के वास्तविक मूल स्वरूप और पालन का अध्ययन इन से सम्बन्धित परमेश्वर के वचन में दिए गए उदाहरणों एवं पदों से करते आ रहे हैं। वर्तमान में इन चार में से चौथी बात, प्रार्थना, के अन्तर्गत, हम तथा-कथित “प्रभु की प्रार्थना” के बारे में मत्ती 6:5-15 से अध्ययन कर रहे हैं। हमने देखा है कि जिसे प्रभु द्वारा दी गई “प्रार्थना” मान कर, मसीहियों द्वारा बचपन से रट लिया जाता है, और फिर हर अवसर पर, हर बात के लिए, बिना उस पर विचार किए, बिना उसे समझे, यूँ ही बोला जाता है, वास्तव में वह “प्रार्थना” नहीं, वरन प्रभु द्वारा दी गई प्रार्थना की एक रूपरेखा, प्रार्थना का एक ढाँचा है। मसीहियों को परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य प्रार्थनाओं को प्रभु द्वारा दी गई इस रूपरेखा या ढाँचे के अनुसार बनाना है। अभी तक हमने देखा है कि मत्ती 6:5-8 के अनुसार, प्रार्थना करने वाले को एक तैयारी के साथ, कि वह परमेश्वर से क्या बोलने जा रहा है, उससे क्या माँगने जा रहा है, क्यों उस बात को माँगने जा रहा है, आदि बातों पर सोच-विचार करके, परमेश्वर की हस्ती और गरिमा के अनुसार उससे कुछ माँगना, या उससे वार्तालाप करना चाहिए। फिर हमने देखना आरंभ किया है कि जिसे “प्रभु की प्रार्थना” कहा जाता है, वह मत्ती 6:9-13 में लिखित है; और इसका आरम्भ, पद 9-10 में, परमेश्वर को ऊँचे पर उठाने, उसका गुणानुवाद करने, उसकी आराधना के साथ होता है। तात्पर्य यह कि परमेश्वर से कुछ प्राप्त करने की इच्छा रखने वाले को परमेश्वर का आराधक होना चाहिए। और यह तब ही सम्भव है, जब वह परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में, परमेश्वर के विषय लिखी बातों, उसके गुणों, उसके चरित्र, उसकी पसन्द-नापसन्द आदि को जानेगा। और इसी बात को हम पहले के लेखों में देखते आए हैं कि जो परमेश्वर के वचन को, परमेश्वर की इच्छा को जानते हैं, वे ही उसे स्वीकार्य, और उससे सकारात्मक उत्तर मिलने वाली प्रार्थना कर सकते हैं। परमेश्वर को ऊँचे पर उठाने से सम्बन्धित पद 9 की तीन बातों, उससे पिता-सन्तान का सम्बन्ध, उसके और हमारे स्थानों का तुलनात्मक महत्व का एहसास, और उसके नाम को आदर देने के महत्व, को देखने के बाद एवं प्रभावों, आज हम पद दस की दो बातों पर ध्यान करना आरम्भ करेंगे।
प्रभु ने अपने शिष्यों को दी इस रूपरेखा में, मत्ती 6:10 में कहा, “तेरा राज्य आए; तेरी इच्छा जैसी स्वर्ग में पूरी होती है, वैसे पृथ्वी पर भी हो।” यहाँ पर दो विषय हैं - पृथ्वी पर परमेश्वर का राज्य आना, और पृथ्वी पर भी परमेश्वर की इच्छा की पूर्ति उसी प्रकार से होना, जैसी स्वर्ग में होती है। स्वाभाविक है कि परमेश्वर का राज्य, परमेश्वर की प्रजा, उसके लोगों पर ही होगा। और परमेश्वर की इच्छा, वास्तव में उसके अपने लोग, अर्थात वे जो उसे समर्पित और उसके आज्ञाकारी हैं, वे ही पूरी करेंगे। जो लोग केवल अपनी स्वार्थ-सिद्धि के लिए परमेश्वर से जुड़ते हैं, उसके नाम को केवल इसलिए लेते हैं, उससे प्रार्थनाएं केवल इसलिए करते हैं ताकि परमेश्वर उनकी इच्छाएं उनके लिए पूरी कर दे, वे न तो परमेश्वर की प्रजा हैं, और न ही उसकी इच्छा की पूर्ति के लिए कुछ करते हैं। ऐसे लोग तो केवल अपनी इच्छा की पूर्ति के लिए परमेश्वर को प्रयोग करना चाहते हैं। हम परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल में परमेश्वर के बारे में दी गई बातों से जानते हैं कि परमेश्वर किसी पर ज़बरदस्ती नहीं करता है; अपना अनुयायी बनने के लिए किसी को बाध्य नहीं करता है। परमेश्वर लोगों को अपने पीछे आने के लिए कभी किसी बल, धोखे, लालच, बहकावे, डराने-धमकाने, आदि बातों का प्रयोग नहीं करता है। वह हमेशा प्रेम और धीरज के साथ व्यवहार करता है; लोगों के सामने सही और गलत का, और उनके पालन करने तथा न करने के परिणामों का वर्णन और विकल्प रखता है। अब यह प्रत्येक व्यक्ति का अपना व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है कि वह क्या चुनाव करता है, किसके पीछे चलने का निर्णय लेता है - परमेश्वर के, या अपनी इच्छाओं, लालसाओं और संसार के। जो जैसा चुनाव करता है, उसे वैसे ही परिणाम मिलते हैं, सँसार में भी और सँसार से जाने के बाद भी।
यदि पृथ्वी पर परमेश्वर का राज्य आना है, उसकी इच्छा पूरी होनी है, तो पृथ्वी के लोगों को परमेश्वर के लोग भी होना होगा। और यह सुसमाचार के संसार भर में फैलाए जाने के द्वारा ही होगा, क्योंकि ऐसा होने के लिए प्रभु परमेश्वर द्वारा अपने शिष्यों को सिखाया और सौंपा गया यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। तो निष्कर्ष यह हुआ कि जो भी व्यक्ति या मसीही यह चाहता है कि परमेश्वर का राज्य आए, पृथ्वी पर परमेश्वर की इच्छा पूरी हो, उसे इसे पूरा करने के लिए सुसमाचार का तथा परमेश्वर के वचन का प्रचार में संलग्न व्यक्ति होना होगा। और जो सच में सुसमाचार का तथा परमेश्वर के वचन का प्रचार में संलग्न व्यक्ति होगा, वह स्वतः ही परमेश्वर के वचन और परमेश्वर की इच्छा को जानने वाला भी होगा। और यह उसी बात की पुष्टि है जिसे हम प्रार्थना के सकारात्मक उत्तर मिलने के लिए अनिवार्य बात कहते और देखते चले आ रहे हैं। हमने पिछले लेखों में बारम्बार इस बात को देखा और कहा है कि परमेश्वर ने हर किसी की कोई भी प्रार्थना पूरी करने का आश्वासन नहीं दिया है; वरन परमेश्वर ने अपने सच्चे, समर्पित, और आज्ञाकारी शिष्यों की उन प्रार्थनाओं का सकारात्मक उत्तर देने का वायदा किया है जो उसके वचन को जानते और मानते हैं तथा उसकी इच्छा के अनुसार कुछ माँगते हैं। अब इस तथा-कथित “प्रभु की प्रार्थना” के इस भाग के आरम्भिक विश्लेषण से भी ठीक यही बात प्रकट है, उसी की पुष्टि होती है।

यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

The Four Pillars of Christian Living - 4 - Prayer (28)
As we see from Acts 2:42, the initial Christian Believers steadfastly observed four things related to practical Christian living. We have been considering and learning about these four things through the Biblical examples and Bible verses related to them, to learn their original form and observance. Presently we are considering the fourth of these four things, i.e., prayer. We are seeing from Matthew 6:5-15 about the so-called “Lord’s Prayer.” We have seen that what is commonly known as the “Lord’s Prayer” which the Christians memorize from their childhood and then keep saying it by rote on all occasions, for all things, without understanding it or pondering over it, is actually not a “prayer” but an outline, a framework given by the Lord on which the Christians have to build their prayers for them to be acceptable to God. So far, we have seen that as given in Matthew 6:5-8, the one praying to God should approach Him with a preparation. The person should think over things like what is he going to God for, what will he be asking for from God, why will he be asking God for it, etc., and then after pondering over these things, he should ask God or converse with God keeping in mind God’s stature and dignity. Then we had begun to see that what is called the “Lord’s Prayer” is given in Matthew 6:9-13; and its initial verses, verses 9-10, are about exalting God, praising and worshiping Him. The implication is that anyone who desires to receive something from God should also be one who worships God. This is only possible if he knows about the attributes, characteristics, character of God and what He likes or dislikes, as given in God’s Word the Bible. And we have been seeing this thing since the earlier articles that those who know God’s Word, those who know His will, only they can ask prayers that are acceptable to God, which He answers affirmatively. Having seen about the three things given in verse 9 about exalting God, i.e., having a Father and child relationship with Him, having a realization of our position in comparison to His position, and the importance and effects of honoring His name, from today we will start considering about the things given in verse 10.
In this outline given by the Lord to his disciples, He said in Matthew 6:10, “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” We see two points for consideration here - God’s kingdom on earth, and God’s will being fulfilled on earth just as it is being fulfilled in heaven. It is only natural that God’s kingdom will be on His people, his subjects. And God’s will on earth can only be carried out by those who actually are His people, i.e., those who are truly surrendered and obedient to Him. Those who are only joined to God for their selfish motives, those who take His name and pray to Him only so that God fulfills their desires for them, are neither the people of God, nor do anything to fulfill God’s will. Such people only want to use God to have their will fulfilled. We see from what is given about God in His Word the Bible that God does not compel anybody; to make anyone His follower He does not coerce them to do so. God never uses any force, enticements, threats of harm, tricks or seduction to mislead anyone, etc., for people to become His followers. He always works very patiently, in love, and places before people the choice between right and the wrong, and the consequences of following or not following His advice. Then it is every person’s own decision, what he wants to do, whom he wants to follow - God, or the world and his own desires and lusts. Whatever decision anyone makes, receives the consequences accordingly; in this world, as well as the next.
If God’s Kingdom has to be present on earth, then the people of the world will have to be the people of God. And this is possible only through the gospel being preached throughout the world, since this is the one and only way taught and handed over by the Lord to His disciples. Therefore, the conclusion is that whoever or if any Christian desires that God’s kingdom should be present on earth, God’s will should be done on earth, then to help achieve this, he should be one who is actively engaged in spreading the gospel and God’s Word. And he, who truly is engaged in spreading the gospel and God’s Word, will automatically be one who knows God’s Word and will. And this is an affirmation of what we have repeatedly been saying in the previous articles, is an essential condition for receiving affirmative answers for prayers. Over and over again, we have seen in the earlier articles that God has not assured to affirmatively answer every prayer made by anyone; rather God has said that He will answer those prayers of His true, surrendered, obedient disciples, that are according to His will and consistent with His Word. Now, through this initial analysis of this part of the so-called “Lord’s Prayer,” the same thing comes up, the same thing is affirmed.

You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
