व्यवस्था क्यों हमें उद्धार नहीं दे सकती है? – 14

मनुष्यों की अज्ञानता (भाग 3)

हम पिछले कुछ लेखों में अपरिवर्तित मनुष्य के पापों को परमेश्वर द्वारा “अज्ञानता के समय का पाप” कहे जाने को समझने का प्रयास कर रहे हैं। प्रेरित पौलुस द्वारा, अथेने के घोर मूर्तिपूजा और परमेश्वर के लिए घृणित, अस्वीकार्य व्यवहार में लिप्त लोगों के लिए, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में किए गए प्रचार में, उन लोगों के लिए परमेश्वर के प्रकोप से बचने और परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में बहाल होने के लिए दिया गया समाधान था, “इसलिये परमेश्वर अज्ञानता के समयों में आनाकानी कर के, अब हर जगह सब मनुष्यों को मन फिराने की आज्ञा देता है” (प्रेरितों 17:30); और इस समाधान में तीन रोचक तथा बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बातें हैं:

1. परमेश्वर पाप के लिए तुरंत दण्ड देने के स्थान पर, उन पापों को अज्ञानता के समय में किए गए कार्य बता कर दण्ड, उनके से बच जाने का अवसर देता है।

2. पापी मनुष्यों द्वारा पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करना, सब जगह के सभी मनुष्यों के लिए, परमेश्वर की इच्छा-मात्र नहीं, आज्ञा है। 

3. परमेश्वर उन लोगों से, उनके पापों के समाधान के लिए, व्यवस्था का पालन करने के लिए नहीं कहता है; बल्कि सभी लोगों से मन फिराने, तथा पश्चाताप करने के द्वारा पापों की क्षमा पाने और विश्वास करने के लिए कहता है।

अब हमारे सामने प्रश्न है कि क्यों प्रेरितों 17:30 में परमेश्वर अपरिवर्तित मनुष्यों के घोर पापों को भी अज्ञानता के समय के कार्य मानकर, उनके विषय उन लोगों को दण्ड देने से आनाकानी करता है, उन्हें दण्ड से बचने का अवसर प्रदान करता है, सभी को अपने-अपने पापों के लिए पश्चाताप करने की आज्ञा देता है? असमंजस में डालने वाले इस प्रश्न का उत्तर परमेश्वर के चरित्र और गुणों में, उसके सच्चा खरा न्यायी होने में छुपा हुआ है। परमेश्वर के विषय व्यवस्थाविवरण 32:4 में लिखा है “वह चट्टान है, उसका काम खरा है; और उसकी सारी गति न्याय की है। वह सच्चा ईश्वर है, उस में कुटिलता नहीं, वह धर्मी और सीधा है।” व्यक्ति धर्मी हो या अधर्मी, पापी हो या उद्धार और पाप क्षमा पाया हुआ, परमेश्वर हर किसी के साथ अपनी सच्चाई, खराई, ईमानदारी, और पक्षपात रहित होने के अनुसार ही व्यवहार करता है। उसके ये गुण, उसका यह चरित्र बदलता नहीं है, सदा ही सभी के लिए समान बना रहता है, कार्यकारी रहता है।  

परमेश्वर हम मनुष्यों की रचना और क्षमता को भली-भांति जानता है; उसे सदा ध्यान रहता है कि मनुष्य मिट्टी ही है: “क्योंकि वह हमारी सृष्टि जानता है; और उसको स्मरण रहता है कि मनुष्य मिट्टी ही है” (भजन 103:14)। परमेश्वर किसी दुष्ट की भी मृत्यु से प्रसन्न नहीं होता है, वरन चाहता है कि सभी पाप का दंड पाने से बच जाएँ “सो तू ने उन से यह कह, परमेश्वर यहोवा की यह वाणी है, मेरे जीवन की सौगन्ध, मैं दुष्ट के मरने से कुछ भी प्रसन्न नहीं होता, परन्तु इस से कि दुष्ट अपने मार्ग से फिर कर जीवित रहे; हे इस्राएल के घराने, तुम अपने अपने बुरे मार्ग से फिर जाओ; तुम क्यों मरो?” (यहेजकेल 33:11)।

परमेश्वर की यह कदापि इच्छा नहीं है कि मनुष्य किसी बुराई में फंसे, और गिरे; वह बुराई के द्वारा न तो परखा जाता है, और न ही वह बुराई से किसी की परीक्षा करता है: “जब किसी की परीक्षा हो, तो वह यह न कहे, कि मेरी परीक्षा परमेश्वर की ओर से होती है; क्योंकि न तो बुरी बातों से परमेश्वर की परीक्षा हो सकती है, और न वह किसी की परीक्षा आप करता है” (याकूब 1:13)। 

    साथ ही परमेश्वर का आश्वासन भी है कि वह हमें हमारी सामर्थ्य से बाहर किसी परीक्षा में नहीं पड़ने देगा, वरन परीक्षा के साथ निकासी का मार्ग भी देगा: “तुम किसी ऐसी परीक्षा में नहीं पड़े, जो मनुष्य के सहने से बाहर है: और परमेश्वर सच्चा है: वह तुम्हें सामर्थ्य से बाहर परीक्षा में न पड़ने देगा, वरन परीक्षा के साथ निकास भी करेगा; कि तुम सह सको” (1 कुरिन्थियों 10:13)। इसी लिए परमेश्वर हम मनुष्यों को शैतान द्वारा धूर्तता और चतुराई से लाई गई हमारी सामर्थ्य से बाहर परीक्षाओं में गिर जाने और पाप कर बैठने के लिए मार्ग देने, और उनकी आनाकानी करने के लिए तैयार है।

    हम अगले लेख में इसके बारे में थोड़ा और देखेंगे। यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Why The Law Cannot Save Us – 14

Man’s Ignorance (Part 3)

 

    In the last few articles, we've been trying to understand why God has called the sins of the unregenerate man the "sins of the time of ignorance". The Apostle Paul while preaching under the guidance of God's Holy Spirit, to those in Athens, given to blatant idolatry and works detested by God, speaks to them about the way to their becoming acceptable to God, being restored to fellowship with God, and escaping His wrath. The God given solution was, "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent" (Acts 17:30). There are three interesting and very important points in what Paul said here.:

1. Instead of immediately punishing them for their sins, God gives an opportunity for them to be saved from their punishment, by treating those sins as done in times of ignorance.

2. That all men everywhere repent for their sins is God’s command, not a mere desire expressed by God.

3. God is not asking the people to obey the Law; but is asking everyone to repent, to seek forgiveness of sins, and to believe in the Lord Jesus, for the redressal of their sins.

    Now the question before us is why in Acts 17:30 is God refusing to punish even those who are unregenerate, the unsaved? Why is He willing to consider the grievous sins of unconverted men to be acts of ignorance, and give them the opportunity to escape punishment, by commanding them to repent of their sins? The answer to this confusing question lies in the character and attributes of God, in His being the honest and upright Judge. Deuteronomy 32:4 says of God, “He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He." Whether a person is righteous or unrighteous, sinner or saved and forgiven, God treats everyone according to His truth, integrity, honesty, and non-partisan character. These qualities of His, His character never ever changes; His character and attributes always remain the same for all.

    God knows all too well the creation and capabilities of us humans; He always remembers that man is dust: “For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust" (Psalm 103:14). Even the death of a wicked person does not please God; God wants everyone to be saved from the punishment of sin “Say to them: 'As I live,' says the Lord God, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?'” (Ezekiel 33:11).

    It is never in the will of God that man should ever be ensnared by evil, and fall into sin. He is neither tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone with evil: “Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone" (James 1:13).

    Also, it is God's assurance that He will not allow us to be tempted beyond our ability, but will also give us a way out of the temptation: “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). That's why God is ready to overlook these times of our ignorance and give us humans the opportunity and the way to be delivered from the consequences of the devious and cunning tricks of Satan, his satanic devices that are beyond our capabilities to manage, through which he leads us into sin.

    We will see some more on this in the next article. If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

पिछले लेखों में हमने इसका विश्लेषण करते हुए, कि परमेश्वर क्यों मनुष्य के पापमय व्यवहार को “अज्ञानता के समय  में किए गए कार्य” मानकर, उनके लिए आनाकानी करने और मनुष्यों को दण्ड से बचने का अवसर देना चाहता है, यह देखा है कि मनुष्य अपनी सृष्टि से ही शैतान और उसके दूतों से कम स्तर का बनाया गया है। इसलिए अपनी सामर्थ्य और क्षमता से वह उनका किसी भी प्रकार से सामना करने और उन पर जयवंत होने में असमर्थ है। जब तक कि वह यह सामना प्रभु परमेश्वर की अधीनता में, उसकी आज्ञाकारिता एवं मार्गदर्शन में न करे - और केवल तब ही वह शैतान और उसकी युक्तियों, उसकी भ्रामक बातों से बच कर उस पर जयवंत हो सकता है, अन्यथा कभी नहीं।

व्यावहारिक जीवन में हमारे लिए इसका तात्पर्य है कि शैतान, जो आरंभ से ही झूठा है, और झूठ का पिता है (यूहन्ना 8:44), वह अपने झूठ, भ्रम, कुटिल युक्तियों, आदि बातों के द्वारा मनुष्य को बहका, भरमा, झूठ में फँसा कर, उससे जाने-अनजाने अनुचित और गलत व्यवहार करवाता रहता है, और बहुधा शैतान ऐसा धार्मिकता और भले कामों के द्वारा, प्रभु यीशु, उसके कार्यों, उसमें सभी के लिए मुफ्त में उपलब्ध पापों की क्षमा और उद्धार से मनुष्य की दृष्टि हटा कर करवाता है (2 कुरिन्थियों 4:4-6)। और मनुष्य को इसके विषय पता भी नहीं चलने पाता है कि वह कैसे शैतान के हाथों का खिलौना बनकर अपनी ही हानि करने में लगा हुआ है। परमेश्वर और उसकी बातों से, उसके मार्गों से भटक कर दूर हो रखा है, और शैतान की प्रेरणा से अपनी ही गढ़ी हुई धार्मिकता की बातों के पालन और निर्वाह के द्वारा, अपने आप को धर्मी, नैतिक और भला समझे हुए है। मिथ्या बातों के भ्रम में पड़ा हुआ अपने आप को परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य और उसे प्रसन्न करने वाला समझे हुए है; जबकि वास्तविकता इससे बिलकुल विपरीत है। और शैतान द्वारा बहकाया, भरमाया हुआ मनुष्य पाप में पड़ा हुआ परमेश्वर एवं स्वर्ग की ओर नहीं वरन अनन्त विनाश की ओर बढ़ता जा रहा।

न केवल शैतान और उसके दूत मनुष्य से हर प्रकार से सामर्थी हैं, वरन मनुष्य से अधिक बुद्धिमान भी हैं। इस बुद्धिमत्ता का प्रयोग वे मनुष्यों के विरुद्ध दुष्टता की कुटिल युक्तियों के द्वारा मनुष्यों को मूर्ख बनाकर, उन्हें बहका और भरमा कर पापमय व्यवहार और जीवन में जीने, और उन्हें पाप में गिराने के लिए करते हैं। साथ ही वे सत्य को मनुष्य से छिपाए रहते हैं, उसे सत्य के निकट आने ही नहीं देते हैं, सत्य को जानने और समझने ही नहीं देते हैं। उसने मनुष्यों की बुद्धि को अंधा कर रखा है, ताकि प्रभु यीशु मसीह के सुसमाचार की ज्योति उन पर चमकने न पाए (2 कुरिन्थियों 4:4-6)। सांसारिक, अपरिवर्तित मनुष्य, जो परमेश्वर के वचन को अपनी बुद्धि, ज्ञान, और क्षमता से जानना और सीखना चाहता है, उसके हृदय पर परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रति एक पर्दा पड़ा हुआ है, जो उसे मन्द-मति बना देता है। यह पर्दा तब ही उठता है जब व्यक्ति प्रभु की ओर फिरता है, पश्चाताप करके प्रभु को समर्पित जीवन जीने लगता है (2 कुरिन्थियों 3:14-16), और पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा सिखाया जाता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 2:10-15)। 

    इन बातों का प्रेरितों 17:30 की बात से, परमेश्वर द्वारा मनुष्यों के पापों को अज्ञानता के समय के कार्य मानकर, उनके विषय मनुष्य को दण्ड देने से आनाकानी करने, और दण्ड से बचने के लिए पश्चाताप करने की आज्ञा देने के साथ क्या संबंध है, इसे हम अगले लेख में देखेंगे। अभी के लिए, यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी है तो अपने जीवन को गंभीरता से जाँच कर देख लीजिए कि आपने प्रभु की इस आज्ञा का पालन किया है कि नहीं? यदि आप अभी भी अपने धर्म, डिनॉमिनेशन, उनके विधि-विधानों और अनुष्ठानों के निर्वाह के आधार पर अपने आप को परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी और उसे स्वीकार्य समझे बैठे हैं, तो आप शैतान द्वारा फैलाए गए धोखे के जाल में फंसे हुए हैं, और आपको आज, अभी, समय रहते इस धोखे से निकलने की आवश्यकता है; विलंब, अविश्वास, या बाद के लिए टालना बहुत भारी नुकसान करवा सकता है।

Man’s Ignorance (Part 2)

 

    In previous articles, while analyzing why God considers this sinful behavior of man to be “things done in times of ignorance", thereby giving the disobedient and sinful people opportunity to avoid punishment, we have seen that humans from the time of their creation are created lower than Satan and his angels. Therefore, they are unable by any means to face and overcome them; unless they face them under the submission, obedience and guidance of the Lord God - and only then can man overcome Satan and his devious devices, and his delusions; never otherwise.

    For us, in our day-to-day practical life this means that Satan, who is a liar from the beginning, and the father of lies (John 8:44), tricks, deceives, and misguides man through his lies, delusions, devious tricks, etc., making him do in appropriate and wrong things knowingly or unknowingly. Quite often Satan gets this done in the form of works of righteousness and good works, turning away man’s attention from the Lord Jesus, His works, from the forgiveness of sins and salvation freely available to everyone through Him (2 Corinthians 4:4-6). And man, entrapped by Satan’s deviousness, inadvertently or unknowingly keeps on living and behaving inappropriately, wrongly, and sinfully. Man is so caught up in Satan’s devious deceptions that he does not even realize how he actually is actively engaged in harming himself by becoming a toy in the hands of Satan. He has no idea how, though he has turned away from God and His Word, and from God’s ways, yet keeps thinking himself to be righteous, moral, and good, through practicing his contrived piety, and living out his self-devised righteousness, beguiled by Satan. Man, not only remains convinced of his own falsehood, but also considers himself to be acceptable and pleasing to God because of it; whereas the reality is quite the opposite. And man, deceived by Satan, continues to move not towards God and heaven, but towards eternal destruction in his unresolved state of sin.

    Not only are Satan and his angels stronger than man in every way, but they are also wiser than man. They use this intelligence of theirs against humans, to fool men, to mislead and deceive them, to get them to live in sinful behavior and a life unacceptable to God, to keep them entrapped in their state of sin, by devious schemes of wickedness. At the same time, they keep the truth hidden from man, do not allow him to come near to the truth, do not allow him to know and understand the truth. Satan has blinded the minds of men, so that the light of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ may not shine upon them (2 Corinthians 4:4-6). The earthly, unregenerate man, who seeks to know and learn the Word of God with his own wisdom, knowledge, and ability, has a veil over his heart regarding the Word of God, which makes him incapable of understanding the truth of God’s Word. This veil is raised and taken away only when one turns to the Lord, when one repents and lives a life submitted to the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:14–16), and begins to be taught by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:10–15).

    What does this have to do with Acts 17:30, with God considering man's sins to be acts of ignorance, His being reluctant to punish man about them, and commanding man to repent to avoid punishment? We will see it in the next article. For now, if you are a Christian, take a serious look at your life to see if you have obeyed the Lord's command for repentance. If you still consider yourself righteous and acceptable to God on the basis of your religion, denomination, the observance of their statutes and rituals, then you are in the trap of deceit spread by Satan, and you need to get out of this deception today, now, while you have the time and opportunity. Procrastination, unbelief, or postponing for a later time can do great harm.

प्रेरित पौलुस द्वारा, अथेने के घोर मूर्तिपूजा और परमेश्वर को घृणित, अस्वीकार्य व्यवहार में लिप्त लोगों के लिए, उनके परमेश्वर के प्रकोप से बचने और परमेश्वर के साथ संगति में बहाल होने के लिए, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में किए गए प्रचार में दिया गया समाधान था, “इसलिये परमेश्वर अज्ञानता के समयों में आनाकानी कर के, अब हर जगह सब मनुष्यों को मन फिराने की आज्ञा देता है” (प्रेरितों 17:30)। पौलुस के द्वारा कहलवाई गई इस बात में तीन रोचक तथा बहुत महत्वपूर्ण बातें हैं। 

सबसे पहली तो यह कि परमेश्वर उन लोगों को उनके पापमय व्यवहार के लिए दण्ड देने की बजाए, उनके इन पापमय कार्यों को, जिनसे परमेश्वर घृणा करता है और सहन नहीं कर सकता है, उन्हें ही अज्ञानता के समय में किए गए कार्य मानकर, उन लोगों को दण्ड देने में आनाकानी करके, उन्हें पश्चाताप करके बच जाने का अवसर देना चाहता है। 

दूसरी बात है कि परमेश्वर की यही मनसा केवल अथेने के उन लोगों के लिए ही नहीं थी, वरन जैसा लिखा है “हर जगह सब मनुष्यों को मन फिराने की आज्ञा देता है”; अर्थात यही बात संसार के हर स्थान के सभी मनुष्यों के लिए भी थी, और अपने वचन में इसे लिखवा कर परमेश्वर ने इसे हर समय-काल के सभी लोगों के लिए भी लागू कर दिया। साथ ही, यह परमेश्वर की इच्छा मात्र नहीं है, यह पश्चाताप करना संसार के हर स्थान के हर मनुष्य के लिए परमेश्वर की आज्ञा है, चाहे वह मनुष्य कोई भी हो, कहीं भी और कभी भी रहता हो। प्रकट है कि इस आज्ञा में किसी के भी देश, धर्म, जाति, परिवार, धार्मिकता, ओहदे, सामाजिक मान-सम्मान, आदि की कोई भूमिका नहीं है; यह सभी के लिए, ईसाई धर्म का पालन करने वाले या मसीहियों के लिए भी ठीक वैसे ही लागू है, जैसे किसी अन्य के लिए। 

    और तीसरी बात है कि यद्यपि पुराने नियम में, तथा मूसा के द्वारा दी गई व्यवस्था में परमेश्वर ने बारंबार कहा है कि जो व्यवस्था का पालन करेगा, वह जीवन में प्रवेश करेगा (लैव्यव्यवस्था 18:5; नहेम्याह 9:29; यहेजकेल 20:11; आदि। इसके अर्थ और अभिप्राय को हम आगे के लेखों में देखेंगे तथा समझेंगे), किन्तु फिर भी पुराने नियम और व्यवस्था का उत्तम ज्ञान और प्रशिक्षण पाए हुए भूतपूर्व फरीसी, पौलुस के द्वारा, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा यह नहीं कहलवा रहा है कि वे लोग, और उनके समान ही सारे संसार के, हर समय और स्थान के, शेष सभी लोग भी, हर कोई तुरंत ही से व्यवस्था का पालन करें; व्यवस्था के अनुसार विधि-विधानों का निर्वाह करें, भेंट-बलिदान चढ़ाएं, याजकों के पास जाएं, और अपने पापों से बचने के लिए व्यवस्था में दिए गए धार्मिकता के नियमों का पालन करें। वरन सभी को परमेश्वर पश्चाताप करने की ही आज्ञा दे रहा है; सभी के लिए उसकी यही एक आज्ञा है; किसी के भी लिए, किसी भी परिस्थिति में, कोई भिन्नता नहीं है।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Why The Law Cannot Save Us – 12

Man’s Ignorance (Part 1)

 

    The Apostle Paul while preaching under the guidance of God's Holy Spirit, to those in Athens, given to blatant idolatry and works detested by God, speaks to them about the way to their becoming acceptable to God, being restored to fellowship with God, and escaping His wrath. The God given solution was, "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent" (Acts 17:30). There are three interesting and very important points in what Paul said here.

    First of all, instead of punishing those people for their sinful behavior, God was willing to consider their sinful acts, the very deeds that God hates and cannot tolerate, as acts done in times of ignorance. Through being reluctant to punish them, He wants to give them a chance to repent and be saved.

    Secondly, God intended this not only for the people of Athens, but as it is written "commands all men everywhere to repent"; i.e., the same was also applicable for all human beings in every place of the world. And by getting it written in His Word, God also made it applicable to all people of all time-periods. Moreover, it is not just God's will, it is God's command to every human being in every place of the world, that they repent; no matter who the person is, wherever and whenever he lives. It is evident that in the applicability of this commandment, there is no role of any one's country, religion, caste, family, supposed state of righteousness, position, social honor, etc.; It is universally and equally applicable to all, including those professing to be Christians, in much the same way as for anyone else.

    And thirdly, although in the Old Testament, and in the Law given by Moses, God has repeatedly said that the one who keeps the Law will enter life (Leviticus 18:5; Nehemiah 9:29; Ezekiel 20:11; etc. We will see and understand its meaning and practical application in later articles), but still through Paul, a former learned Pharisee, one who was very well versed in the knowledge of the Old Testament and of the Law, God the Holy Spirit is neither asking him to say to those people, nor to all the rest of the people of the world, of all times and places, that everyone should get down to following the Law immediately. That they should start fulfilling the ordinances according to the Law, make offerings and sacrifices, go to the priests, and follow the prescribed laws of righteousness in order to be delivered from the consequences of their sins. Rather, instead of asking them to obey the Law, God is commanding everyone everywhere to repent. This is His one and only command to rectify this situation, meant for all; for anyone under any circumstances; there is no difference - this command remains the same.

    We will continue with this in the next article as well. But for now, if you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

क्योंकि मनुष्य शैतान के सामने असमर्थ है (भाग 9)

 

    पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि शैतान पहले, परमेश्वर के बाद सब से सामर्थी प्रधान स्वर्गदूत लूसिफर हुआ करता था, जो पाप के कारण गिराए जाने और स्वर्ग से निष्कासित किया गया था, (यशायाह 14:12-15; यहेजकेल 28:12-17)। उसे और उसके दूतों, के स्वर्ग से निकाले जाने के बाद भी, स्वर्ग में जाकर परमेश्वर से वार्तालाप करने के उसके अधिकार (अय्यूब 1:6-7, 12; 2:1-6), और उसकी सामर्थ्य को उससे वापस नहीं लिया गया। इसीलिए वह उसी सामर्थ्य के द्वारा जो स्वर्ग में उसके पास थी, परमेश्वर और उसके लोगों के विरुद्ध काम करता रहता है। अब जब बाइबल के इन तथ्यों तथा पहले कहे गए तीन निष्कर्षों को मनुष्यों के शैतान के साथ पारस्परिक व्यवहार पर लागू किया जाता है तो हमारे सामने कुछ महत्वपूर्ण बातें निकल कर आती हैं; और पिछले लेख में हमने इन में से चार को देखा था। आज हम शेष बातों को देखेंगे:

·        किन्तु उद्धार पाए हुए मनुष्य के अंदर परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा निवास करता है (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:16; 6:19), और प्रभु यीशु उसके साथ बना रहता है (मत्ती 28:20; यूहन्ना 14:18)। इसलिए उद्धार पाए हुए मनुष्य पर शैतान का कोई दाँव, कोई वार, कभी सफल नहीं हो सकता है। 

·        इसीलिए मनुष्य के पश्चाताप करके उद्धार पाते ही, उसी क्षण से परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा उसकी रक्षा के लिए तुरंत ही उसके अंदर आकर निवास करने लगता है (गलातियों 3: 2, 5, 14; इफिसियों 1:13-14)। यदि ऐसा न हो तो शैतान, उसके मुँह से छीने गए उसके शिकार का क्या हाल कर डालेगा, यह हम कल्पना भी नहीं कर सकते हैं। इसीलिए उस आत्मिक नव-जात शिशु को अपने पिता परमेश्वर की तुरंत ही, उद्धार पाने के साथ ही, सुरक्षा और सहायता की आवश्यकता होती है, जो उसे परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के उसमें आकर रहने के साथ उपलब्ध हो जाती है।

·        जब तक मनुष्य परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के अनुसार, उनकी आज्ञाकारिता में, पवित्र आत्मा के चलाए चलता रहता है, उस उद्धार पाए हुए मनुष्य की ईश्वरीय सुरक्षा का बाड़ा उसे बचाए रखता है। उद्धार पाया हुआ मनुष्य परमेश्वर पिता और प्रभु यीशु मसीह के हाथों में सुरक्षित बना रहता है; जो भेड़ें अपने प्रभु अपने चरवाहे का शब्द सुनती हैं और उसके पीछे चलती रहती हैं, वे कभी नाश नहीं हो सकती हैं (यूहन्ना 10:27-29)। 

·        किन्तु जैसे ही उद्धार पाया हुआ व्यक्ति, परमेश्वर और उसके वचन की ज़रा सी भी अनाज्ञाकारिता करता है, किसी भी प्रकार से परमेश्वर के निर्देशों और आज्ञाओं के स्थान पर अपनी मानवीय बुद्धि या संसार की सलाह के अनुसार कुछ करता है, या परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा के चलाए के अनुसार नहीं वरन संसार या अपने शरीर की भावनाओं और अभिलाषाओं के अनुसार चलने लगता है, वह परमेश्वर के सुरक्षा के बाड़े से बाहर आ जाता है। शैतान उसे परमेश्वर और प्रभु यीशु मसीह के हाथों से छीन कर तो नहीं ले जा सकता है, किन्तु उसके द्वारा सुरक्षा के बाड़े से बाहर निकाले हुए शरीर को डस अवश्य लेता है (सभोपदेशक 10:8), पाप का विष उसमें डालकर उसे हानि पहुँचा देता है।

·        इसीलिए स्वाभाविक, अपरिवर्तित, उद्धार नहीं पाया हुआ मनुष्य अपने किसी भी प्रयास, बुद्धिमत्ता, युक्ति, भक्ति, अथवा किसी भी अन्य बात के द्वारा कभी भी न तो शैतान पर जयवंत होने पाता है, और न ही उसके हाथों में से निकलने पाता है। और शैतान उसे उसकी बनाई हुए व्यर्थ “धार्मिकता” की बातों के चक्करों में फँसा कर, उसे भक्त, धर्मी, भला और परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य होने के मिथ्या आश्वासन देकर, उसका मूर्ख बना कर, उसे पाप और विनाश की दशा में ही फंसाए रखता है, उद्धार के अनन्त जीवन से वंचित रखता है। 

·        इसीलिए व्यक्तिगत रीति से पापों के अंगीकार, उनके लिए पश्चाताप, और प्रभु यीशु से पापों की क्षमा माँगकर प्रभु यीशु को समर्पित जीवन जीने के अतिरिक्त मनुष्य के बचाए जाने और परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य होने का अन्य कोई मार्ग है ही नहीं, और हो ही नहीं सकता है, क्योंकि ऐसा करने पर वह प्रभु परमेश्वर की सुरक्षा और देखभाल के अंतर्गत आ जाता है, प्रभु उसे शैतान से बचाता है; “इसलिये परमेश्वर अज्ञानता के समयों में आनाकानी कर के, अब हर जगह सब मनुष्यों को मन फिराने की आज्ञा देता है” (प्रेरितों 17:30)।   

 

    अगले लेख में, इन बातों के आधार पर हम देखेंगे और समझेंगे कि मनुष्यों के शैतान का सामना करने में असमर्थ होने और पाप में गिरते रहने पर भी, क्यों परमेश्वर प्रेरितों 17:30 में स्वाभाविक अपरिवर्तित मनुष्य द्वारा पाप करने को “अज्ञानता के समय” की बात कहकर उसे दण्ड देने में आनाकानी करता है, उसे दंड से बचने का अवसर देता है, और पश्चाताप करने के लिए कहता है। किन्तु अभी के लिए, यदि आप अपने आप को मसीही विश्वासी समझते हैं, किन्तु आपने अभी तक परमेश्वर के विलंब से कोप करने, धीरज धरने, सब को बच जाने का पूरा-पूरा अवसर देने (2 पतरस 3:9) की मनसा का लाभ उठाकर, व्यक्तिगत रीति से पापों का अंगीकार और उनके लिए पश्चाताप नहीं किया है, और प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों की क्षमा माँगकर प्रभु यीशु को समर्पित जीवन जीने का, उसकी और उसके वचन की आज्ञाकारिता में चलते रहने का निर्णय नहीं लिया है, तो आप अपने किसी भी धर्म-कर्म-विधि-विधान के पालन के द्वारा न तो परमेश्वर को स्वीकार्य बनते हैं और न ही वास्तव में मसीही विश्वासी हो जाते हैं। इसलिए अभी समय रहते यह कर लीजिए, कहीं बाद में आपके हाथों से यह अवसर न निकल जाए और आप अनन्त काल के विनाश में न पहुँच जाएं।

Why The Law Cannot Save Us – 11

Because Man is Incapable of Handling Satan (Part 9)

 

    In the previous article we had seen that Satan was Lucifer the archangel, the one most powerful after God, before he was cast down and expelled from heaven because of his sin and he turned to Satan (Isaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 28:12-17). Even after his and his angel’s expulsion from heaven, neither was his privilege to converse with God in heaven (Job 1:6-7, 12; 2:1-6), nor was his power taken away from him. Therefore, he continues to work against God and his people through this very power that he had when in heaven. Now, when we apply this Biblical fact regarding the origin of Satan, along with the three afore mentioned conclusions, to humans, we are brought to the realization of certain important facts regarding man vs. Satan and demons; and in the last article we had seen four of these facts. The remaining facts are:

·        But since God's Holy Spirit resides in the saved man (1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19) and the Lord Jesus remains with him (Matthew 28:20; John 14:18), therefore, no device, no attack, of Satan and his angels can ever succeed against a saved man.

·        That is why as soon as man is Born-Again, is saved by repenting of sins, from that very moment God's Holy Spirit immediately comes and resides in him to protect him (Galatians 3: 2, 5, 14; Ephesians 1:13-14). If this were not so, we cannot even imagine what Satan will do to his victim who has been snatched from his jaws. That's why that spiritually new-born infant needs the immediate help, security, and protection of God the Father, along with salvation, which becomes available to him with the coming of God's Holy Spirit to reside in him always.

·        As long as man walks in obedience to God and according to His Word, led by the Holy Spirit, the cover of divine protection around that saved man keeps him safe. The saved man remains safe in the hands of God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. The sheep that listens and obeys the voice of their Lord, their Shepherd and follows Him can never perish (John 10:27-29).

·        But as soon as a saved person disobeys God and His Word in the slightest way, if in any way he ignores God's instructions and commandments and instead trusts his human wisdom or the advice of the world, or instead of walking according to God Holy Spirit, he walks according to his feelings and desires, or according to the ways of the world, he then exposes himself by breaching the enclosure of God's protection. While Satan cannot snatch him away from the hands of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, but he never misses the opportunity to bite what has been exposed by breaching God's protective enclosure (Ecclesiastes 10:8), and instil the poison of sin into him, and harms him.

·        That is why the natural, unregenerate, unsaved man is never able to overcome Satan, or escape from his hands, by any of his efforts, intelligence, tactics, devotion, or anything else. And Satan keeps him in his state of sin and destruction by deceiving him into observing and following the vain "righteousness" he has devised for himself; fooling him with false assurances that he is devout, righteous, good, and acceptable to God, while actually leading him astray from God’s ways and depriving him of eternal life of salvation.

·        That is why there neither is, nor ever can be, any other way for men to be saved and be accepted by God, except by personally confessing their sins, repenting for them, asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of sins, and living a life dedicated to the Lord Jesus, because then he comes under the safety and care of the Lord God and the Lord protects him from Satan; “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30).

 

    In the next article, on the basis of these points, we will see and understand why God, in Acts 17:30, is willing to consider the sins of the natural, unregenerate man, as things done "in times of ignorance" and is reluctant to punish him; rather, He wants to give him opportunity to escape punishment, and asks him to repent. But for now, if you consider yourself a Christian, but you have so far never taken advantage of God's longsuffering, His patience, His willingness to give everyone the full opportunity to be saved (2 Peter 3:9); and have not personally confessed and repented of your sins, have never made the decision to live a life dedicated to the Lord Jesus, and of living in obedience to Him and His Word; but instead have been relying on your religion, good deeds, fulfilling the religious creeds and observances etc., to become acceptable to God and qualify being a true Christian, then you have been living in a very serious, dangerous, satanic deception. Therefore, repent and take the necessary step now, while you have the time and opportunity; lest in procrastination and/or by being careless, by ignoring, this opportunity is lost, and you end up in eternal destruction.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings.
