प्रभु यीशु की कलीसिया - परमेश्वर की खेती
पिछले कुछ लेखों में हम प्रभु यीशु की कलीसिया के लिए परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल के नए नियम खंड में प्रयोग किए गए विभिन्न रूपकों (metaphors), जैसे कि - प्रभु का परिवार या घराना; परमेश्वर का निवास-स्थान या मन्दिर; परमेश्वर का भवन; परमेश्वर की खेती; प्रभु की देह; प्रभु की दुल्हन; परमेश्वर की दाख की बारी, इत्यादि के बारे में देखते आ रहे हैं। हमने देखा है कि किस प्रकार से इन रूपकों में होकर परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा ने प्रभु द्वारा अपनी कलीसिया, अर्थात, अपने सच्चे और समर्पित शिष्यों का धर्मी और पवित्र किए जाना, परमेश्वर के साथ कलीसिया के संबंध, संगति, एवं सहभागिता की बहाली, तथा कलीसिया के लोगों के व्यवहार और जीवनों में परमेश्वर के प्रयोजन, उन से उसकी अपेक्षाएं, आदि को समझाया है। इनमें से प्रत्येक रूपक, एक सच्चे, समर्पित, आज्ञाकारी मसीही विश्वासी के प्रभु यीशु और पिता परमेश्वर के साथ संबंध को, तथा उसके मसीही जीवन, और दायित्वों के विभिन्न पहलुओं को दिखाता है। हमने यहाँ पर इन लेखों में रूपकों को किसी निर्धारित अथवा विशेष क्रम में नहीं लिया अथवा रखा है; सभी रूपक समान ही महत्वपूर्ण हैं, सभी में मसीही जीवन से संबंधित कुछ आवश्यक शिक्षाएं हैं।
इन सभी रूपकों में सामान्य बात है कि प्रत्येक रूपक यह भी बिलकुल स्पष्ट और निश्चित कर देता है कि कोई भी व्यक्ति किसी भी प्रकार के किसी भी मानवीय प्रयोजन, कार्य, मान्यता या धारणा के निर्वाह आदि के द्वारा, अपनी अथवा किसी अन्य मनुष्य की ओर से परमेश्वर की कलीसिया का सदस्य बन ही नहीं सकता है; वह चाहे कितने भी और कैसे भी प्रयास क्यों न कर ले। अगर व्यक्ति प्रभु यीशु की कलीसिया का सदस्य होगा, तो वह केवल प्रभु की इच्छा से, उसके माप-दंडों के आधार पर, उसकी स्वीकृति से होगा, अन्यथा कोई चाहे कुछ भी कहता रहे, वह चाहे किसी मानवीय कलीसिया अथवा किसी संस्थागत कलीसिया का सदस्य हो जाए, किन्तु प्रभु की वास्तविक कलीसिया का सदस्य हो ही नहीं सकता है। और यदि वह अपने आप को प्रभु की कलीसिया का सदस्य समझता या कहता भी है, तो भी प्रभु उसकी वास्तविकता देर-सवेर प्रकट कर देगा, और अन्ततः वह अनन्त विनाश के लिए प्रभु की कलीसिया से पृथक कर दिया जाएगा। इसलिए अपने आप को मसीही विश्वासी कहने वाले प्रत्येक जन के लिए अभी समय और अवसर है कि अभी अपने ‘मसीही विश्वासी’ होने के आधार एवं वास्तविक स्थिति को भली-भांति जाँच-परख कर, उचित कदम उठा ले और प्रभु के साथ अपने संबंध ठीक कर ले। हर व्यक्ति को यह सुनिश्चित कर लेना चाहिए कि वह किसी मानवीय कलीसिया अथवा किसी संस्थागत कलीसिया का नहीं, परंतु प्रभु यीशु की वास्तविक कलीसिया का सदस्य है।
पिछले लेखों में हम उपरोक्त सूची के पहले तीन रूपकों को देख चुके हैं। आज हम इस सूची के चौथे रूपक, परमेश्वर की खेती होने के संबंध में देखेंगे।
(4) परमेश्वर की खेती
परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की अगुवाई में, पौलुस प्रेरित ने कुरिन्थुस के मसीही विश्वासियों की मण्डली को लिखी अपनी पहली पत्री में लिखा, क्योंकि हम परमेश्वर के सहकर्मी हैं; तुम परमेश्वर की खेती और परमेश्वर की रचना हो (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:9); इसे इसके संदर्भ में पद 1 से देखना अधिक उचित है। संदर्भ के साथ देखने से स्पष्ट हो जाता है कि पवित्र आत्मा पौलुस में होकर कुरिन्थुस की मण्डली के लोगों को उलाहना दे रहा है क्योंकि उन्होंने अपने आप को एकता में रखने की बजाए, अपने आप को उनके मध्य सेवकाई करने वाले सेवकों के अनुसार विभाजित करना आरंभ कर दिया था। विभाजन की इस प्रवृत्ति की भर्त्सना करते हुए, पवित्र आत्मा ने लिखवाया कि न तो पौलुस कुछ है, और न ही अपुल्लोस कुछ है। वे केवल प्रभु के सेवक हैं जिन्हें प्रभु ने अपने लोगों के मध्य कार्य के लिए प्रयोग किया, किन्तु उनके कार्य को सफल और फलवंत करने वाला परमेश्वर है, जिसके कार्य के बिना उन सेवकों का परिश्रम व्यर्थ है। इस बात को समझाने के लिए पवित्र आत्मा ने खेती-किसानी से संबंधित बातों को रूपकों के समान प्रयोग किया। पद 6-8 में मजदूरों द्वारा खेत में बीज के बोने और उगने वाली फसल के पौधों को सींचने वाले को मात्र सेवक, जिन्हें उनके परिश्रम के अनुसार प्रतिफल दिया जाएगा कहा गया है। तब पद 9 में मण्डली या कलीसिया को परमेश्वर की खेती, परमेश्वर की रचना बताया गया है।
इसी रूपक से संबंधित दो अलग-अलग दृष्टांत प्रभु यीशु ने मत्ती 13 अध्याय में भी दिए हैं; जिन्हें परस्पर एक समान लेकर भ्रम में नहीं पड़ना चाहिए। इन में से पहला, बीज बोने वाले का दृष्टांत, चार प्रकार की भूमियों के बारे में है। उन चारों भूमियों पर एक ही बीज बोने वाले - प्रभु यीशु (मत्ती 13:37) ने एक ही समान गुणवत्ता के बीज - परमेश्वर का वचन (लूका 8:11) बोया। किन्तु इन चार प्रकार की “भूमि” में से केवल एक ही प्रकार की भूमि “अच्छी” है, जिसमें बोया गया बीज अन्ततः फलवंत हुआ (मत्ती 13:23)। दूसरा दृष्टांत दो भिन्न प्रकार के बीजों के विषय में है। इस दृष्टांत की व्याख्या करते समय, प्रभु यीशु ने बताया कि “खेत” संसार है (मत्ती 13:38), और इसमें दो प्रकार के बीज बो दिए गए हैं - अच्छे बीज, अर्थात, परमेश्वर के राज्य की सन्तान, और बुरे बीज, अर्थात, दुष्ट अर्थात शैतान की सन्तान या लोग (मत्ती 13:38 )। परमेश्वर ने अपने खेत में अच्छे बीज बोए, किन्तु शैतान ने आकर अपने बुरे बीज भी उसी खेत में बो दिए (मत्ती 13:39), जिन्हें फिर जगत के अन्त, कटनी के समय, पृथक करके, अपने-अपने स्थानों पर पहुँचा दिया जाएगा (मत्ती 13:40-42)।
प्रत्येक स्थानीय कलीसिया या मण्डली के लोग, प्रभु यीशु द्वारा दिए गए प्रथम दृष्टांत की चार प्रकार की भूमियों के समान हैं; जिन्हें परमेश्वर के द्वारा नियुक्त उसके सेवक प्रभु की ओर से, परमेश्वर के एक ही वचन से, एक ही समान शिक्षाएं देते हैं। किन्तु हर एक सदस्य उन शिक्षाओं को समान रीति से ग्रहण तथा अपने जीवन में उपयोग नहीं करता है, और परिणामस्वरूप, कलीसिया के विभिन्न लोगों में आत्मिकता के भिन्न स्तर पाए जाते हैं। यहाँ तक कि अन्त के समय जब प्रतिफल मिलने की बारी आएगी, तब ऐसे भी लोग होंगे जो परमेश्वर के राज्य में खाली हाथ प्रवेश करेंगे, क्योंकि उनका जीवन और कार्य किसी प्रतिफल के योग्य ही नहीं रहे; किन्तु उनका उद्धार या प्रभु की कलीसिया का जन होना उनसे कदापि नहीं छीना जाएगा (1 कुरिन्थियों 3:13-15)। किन्तु उस समय की उनकी दश की कल्पना कीजिए, उन्हें स्वर्ग में प्रवेश तो मिला, किन्तु अनन्त काल के लिए वे खाली हाथ ही रहेंगे, उनके पास स्वर्ग में उपयोग के लिए कोई प्रतिफल नहीं होंगे, और न ही कोई अवसर होगा कि अपनी इस स्थिति को सुधार सकें। वे परमेश्वर की खेती तो हैं, किन्तु “अच्छी भूमि” नहीं बने, पृथ्वी पर अपने समय और योग्यताओं को प्रभु के लिए प्रयोग करने के स्थान पर उन्हें नश्वर संसार और संसार के लोगों, अधिकारियों, तथा नाशमान बातों के लिए लगाते रहे, और प्रभु के खेती होते हुए भी अपने समय, अवसर, और वरदानों को व्यर्थ कर दिया (1 यूहन्ना 2:15-17)।
इसी प्रकार से, प्रभु द्वारा बताए गए दूसरे दृष्टांत के अनुरूप, प्रत्येक स्थानीय कलीसिया में प्रभु के लोग और उनके मध्य शैतान के द्वारा घुसा दिए गए लोग, अर्थात दोनों ही प्रकार के लोग होते हैं। और जैसा हम पहले के एक लेख में देख चुके हैं, “प्रभु यीशु अपनी कलीसिया स्वयं ही बना रहा है;” प्रभु शैतान द्वारा उसकी कलीसिया या मण्डली में घुस आए शैतान के लोगों को अलग करता भी रहता है, तथा जगत के अन्त के समय, अलग किए जाने के समय, वे सभी जो प्रभु की वास्तविक कलीसिया के नहीं हैं, अनन्त विनाश में भेज दिए जाएंगे।
यदि आप मसीही विश्वासी हैं तो ध्यान कीजिए कि एक बार फिर यह रूपक स्पष्ट कर देता है कि कोई भी मनुष्य अपनी अथवा किसी अन्य मनुष्य या संस्था की बातों, नियमों, रीतियों, आदि के निर्वाह के द्वारा प्रभु की खेती, उसकी रचना नहीं बन सकता है। और न ही कोई परमेश्वर के वचन की अवहेलना करके, संसार, संसार के लोगों, संसार की बातों और लालसाओं को अपने जीवन में प्राथमिकता देकर, प्रभु की कलीसिया का सदस्य होने पर भी, कोई प्रभु से कुछ प्रतिफल पा सकता है। प्रभु ही अपनी कलीसिया को बनाता है, उसकी देखभाल करता है, और उसमें से उनको जो उसके द्वारा सम्मिलित नहीं किए गए हैं, शैतान के लोगों को निकाल देता है। इसलिए ध्यान कीजिए कि आपकी प्रभु की कलीसिया में, और प्रभु के वचन की आज्ञाकारिता में तथा अपने जीवन में उसके वचन को दी गई प्राथमिकता की दशा क्या है? यदि कुछ सुधारे जाने की आवश्यकता है, तो अभी, समय और अवसर रहते यह कर लीजिए; विलंब या लापरवाही बहुत हानिकारक हो सकती है। प्रभु अपने विश्वासियों, अपनी वास्तविक कलीसिया के सच्चे सदस्यों को अपनी खेती, अपनी रचना के समान, अपने लिए भी, तथा उनके अनन्तकाल के लिए भी फलवन्त और आशीषित देखना चाहता है; यदि वे उसके वचन को अपने जीवनों में प्राथमिकता तथा आज्ञाकारिता का उचित स्थान प्रदान करते रहें।
यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Biblical Metaphors for the Church – Field of God
We have been considering the various metaphors given in the New Testament section of the Word of God the Bible, for the Church of God, e.g., the Family of the Lord; the Temple or Dwelling place of God; House of God; the Field of God; The Body of the Lord; the Bride of the Lord; the Vineyard of God, etc. We have seen how through these metaphors God the Holy Spirit has shown and explained about the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, i.e., about those who are His truly surrendered and committed people being made pure and holy, their relationship with the Lord, the restoration of His people to fellowship with God, the life and behavior of the people of the Church, and God’s expectations from them, His work in their lives etc. We are not considering these metaphors in any particular order; all of them are equally important, and every one of them teaches some important thing or the other about Christian life.
Every metaphor shows different aspects of the relationship of a truly surrendered and committed Christian Believer with the Lord Jesus and God, and the related aspects of the Believer’s life and responsibilities. Every metaphor also makes it very clear and evident that no person can become a member of the Lord’s Church through any human works, criteria, notions etc., no matter who he may be or how much he may try to join the Lord’s Church. If anyone joins the Church of the Lord, it will only be according to the will, standards, criteria, and acceptance by the Lord. Other than this anyone may keep saying, doing, and claiming whatever they may; he will never actually be or become a member of the Lord’s Church. Even if he considers himself to be and claims his being a member, sooner or later his actual state will be exposed, and he will be separated out for eternal destruction. Therefore, for everyone who claims himself to be a Christian Believer, now is the time and opportunity to examine and evaluate their relationship with the Lord and its basis, and if there is any doubt, then have it rectified and come into the right relationship with the Lord.
From this list of metaphors given above, we have considered the first three metaphors in the previous articles. Today we will consider the fourth metaphor, being the Field of God.
(4) The Field of God
Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Apostle Paul in his first letter to the Christian Believer’s Assembly in Corinth wrote, For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building (1 Corinthians 3:9); it is better to consider this verse in its context, from verse 1 onwards. When seen in its context, it becomes clear that the Holy Spirit through Paul is admonishing the Church in Corinth, because instead of keeping themselves in unity, they had started to divide themselves into factions, according to the name of the ministers of God serving amongst them. Castigating their tendency of segregating themselves, the Holy Spirit had it written to the Church that neither Paul nor Apollos are anything in themselves. They are merely ministers of the Lord, whom He has used amongst His people for some works; but the power to make their works successful and fruitful came from God, and without Him those ministers could not have accomplished anything. To make them understand this concept, the Holy Spirit used an activity related to farming and working in the fields as a metaphor. In verses 6-8 it says that those who plant the seeds in the field, and those who water the plants, take care of them, are all servants of the master, and each will receive his reward according to their diligence and labor from God. It is also written in verse 9 that the Church or the Assembly is the “field of God.”
The Lord Jesus had given two parables related to this metaphor in Matthew 13. Because of their similarity, these two parables, their contents, and their implications should not be confused with each other. The first one of these parables, the parable of the “Sower of the Seed”, is about the four kinds of soils. One and the same ‘Sower’ - the Lord Jesus (Matthew 13:37) sowed seed of the same quality - the Word of God (Luke 8:11) in all four soils. But of these four kinds of soils, only one kind was the good soil, in which the sown seed brought much returns (Matthew 13:23). The second parable is about two different kinds of seed. While explaining this parable, the Lord Jesus said that the “field” is the world (Matthew 13:38), and in this ‘field’ two kinds of seed have been sown - the good seed, i.e., the ‘sons of the kingdom’ of God, and Satan has come and sown his tares also amongst the good seed (Matthew 13:39). The results of these two kinds of seeds will be segregated at the end and each will be sent to its assigned place (Matthew 13:40-42).
The members of every local Church or assembly are like the four soils of the first parable given by the Lord; everyone is given the same teachings from the same Word of God, by the same appointed minister of God to work amongst them. But not every member accepts and utilizes the teachings in a similar manner, therefore, in the local Church people of differing Spiritual maturity and growth are found in the Church. Even so, that at the end time, when it is time to give out the rewards to each one, there will be some who will enter the Kingdom of God empty handed, because their life and works were not worthy of any rewards; but their status of being a part of the Church of God, a saved person, will never be taken away from them (1 Corinthians 3:13-15). But just imagine their plight at that time, they will be allowed into heaven, but they will be empty-handed for eternity, they will have no rewards to utilize in heaven, and no opportunity to rectify this situation. They were and are the ‘field of God’, but they never became the good soil. They had not utilized their time and opportunities on earth for the work of the Lord; rather, used their time, talents, and opportunities for the temporal gains of the perishing world, for the people of the world, to please their worldly authorities, and despite being the ‘field of God’ they wasted away their gifts, talents, time, and opportunity (1 John 2:15-17).
Similarly, in accordance with the second parable of the Lord, in every local Church, amongst the people of God, satanic people are also infiltrated, i.e., both kinds of people are found in every local Church. As we have seen in an earlier article, "The Lord Is Building His Church", the Lord keeps exposing and separating out these satanic people, and at the end time, all those not actually a part of the true Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, will be sent to their eternal destruction.
If you are a Christian Believer, then take note that this metaphor too makes it very clear that no person can ever become a part of God’s field, through fulfilling any of his own, or any other person’s or institution’s contrived rules, regulations, and ceremonies. Neither can anyone by ignoring God’s Word, giving more importance to the world, things of the world, and the people of the world, gain any heavenly rewards, despite being a part of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the Lord who is building His Church, is looking after it, and from time-to-time keeps weeding out those whom He has not planted, i.e., the satanic people infiltrated into His Church. Therefore, take note and do a careful evaluation - in the Church of the Lord Jesus, what is your status of faith and obedience to the Lord and His Word? Who or what has the primacy in your life, the things of the world or the work of the Lord? If there is something that needs to be corrected, then do it now while you have the time and opportunity; any delay or procrastination can have irreversible, eternally disastrous, and very painful consequences. The Lord wants to see His ‘field’, His people, fruitful now and for eternity, both for Him as well as for themselves; which comes about by their giving Him and His Word the primary position and required obedience.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
