    परमेश्वर के पवित्र आत्मा, जो उन्हें उनके उद्धार पाने के क्षण से ही दे दिया जाता है, के भण्डारी होने के नाते, विश्वासियों को उस से सीखना है, न केवल परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल को, बल्कि परमेश्वर द्वारा विश्वासी को दिए गए अन्य सँसाधनों के बारे में भी, जिनमें पवित्र आत्मा भी सम्मिलित है। पवित्र आत्मा, प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को उसका मसीही जीवन जीने और परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई सेवकाई का सही निर्वाह करने में उसका सहायक और मार्गदर्शक होने के लिए दिया गया है; क्योंकि वही विश्वासी का सहायक, साथी, शिक्षक, और मार्गदर्शक है। लेकिन जैसा हमने पिछले लेखों में देखा है, वे लोग जो उनके जीवनों में पवित्र आत्मा की सेवकाई की अनदेखी करते हैं और उसके योग्य भण्डारी होने के लिए उचित प्रयास नहीं करते हैं, वे मनुष्यों से परमेश्वर के वचन को सीखने पर निर्भर होते हैं, और अपने आप को झूठी शिक्षाओं तथा गलत सिद्धान्तों में फँसाने के खतरे में फँसाए रखते हैं। पिछले लेख से हमने 1 कुरिन्थियों 2:12-14 से  पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के बारे में देखना आरंभ किया है, और पद 12 पर विचार कर रहे हैं। आज भी हम पद 12 पर विचार करना ज़ारी रखेंगे, पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के बारे में सीखने के लिए।

    पौलुस, पद 12 के आरंभ में यह बल देकर कहता है कि विश्वासियों ने पवित्र आत्मा ‘पाया’ है; तात्पर्य यह कि न तो उन्होंने उसे किसे कार्य के द्वारा कमाया है और न ही किसी रीति से प्राप्त किया है; परमेश्वर का पवित्र आत्मा उन्हें दिया गया है। फिर पौलुस यह स्पष्ट करता है कि वह किस आत्मा के बारे में बात कर रहा है, “संसार की आत्मा नहीं, परन्तु वह आत्मा पाया है, जो परमेश्वर की ओर से है।” क्योंकि उसकी इस पत्री के पाठकों में पवित्र आत्मा निवास करता है, इस आधार पर पौलुस फिर एक दूसरी बात कहता है; ऐसी बात जिसे प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को समझना तथा अपने जीवन में लागू करना चाहिए। पौलुस की यह दूसरी बात है कि प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी से यह अपेक्षा रखी गई है कि परमेश्वर ने उन्हें जो कुछ सेंत-मेंत में, अनुग्रहपूर्वक दिया है, वे उसके बारे में जानें और सीखें। उन से यह अपेक्षा कोई विकल्प नहीं है, वरन अनिवार्य है, उन में पवित्र आत्मा की उपस्थिति पर आधारित है। वह न केवल उनके लिए परमेश्वर के वचन का, वरन परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई वस्तुओं का भी शिक्षक है। मसीही विश्वासी इस से अपने व्यावहारिक मसीही जीवन के लिए कुछ महत्वपूर्ण पाठ सीख सकते हैं:

• परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई बातों को यूँ ही हलके में, लापरवाही के साथ नहीं लेना है; कोई भी विश्वासी उन बातों के बारे में अनुत्तरदायी या उदासीन नहीं हो सकता है। विश्वासियों को उनके बारे में सीखना है, उनकी देख-भाल करनी है, और उन्हें उचित रीति से उपयोग में लाना है; वे एक तरह से ‘सावधानी से व्यवहार करें’ वाली वस्तुएँ हैं। वे परमेश्वर द्वारा विश्वासियों को एक उद्देश्य से दी गई हैं, उन्हें व्यर्थ अथवा अनुपयोगी नहीं समझा जा सकता है। उन्हें प्रदान करने वाले के गौरव और हस्ती का आदर रखते हुए, उन्हें ऐसी रीते से उपयोग में लाना है कि उस से देने वाले, अर्थात परमेश्वर, को महिमा मिले। इसलिए प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के लिए यह अनिवार्य है कि जो भी परमेश्वर ने उसे दिया है, वह उसके बारे में सीखे, यह जाने कि वह उसे क्यों दिया गया है, और समझे कि उसे दिए जाने के उद्देश्य को कैसे पूरा करना है, और उसके अनुसार अपने मसीही जीवन में तथा मसीही सेवकाई में उस वरदान को उचित रीति से उपयोग करे।

• क्योंकि, परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई बातों के बारे में जानने पर दिया गया बल, विश्वासी में पवित्र आत्मा की उपस्थिति पर आधारित है, और यह विशेष रीति से कहा गया है कि विश्वासियों को जो आत्मा दिया गया है वह सँसार का आत्मा नहीं है, इसलिए इस से यह तात्पर्य आता है कि कोई भी साँसारिक या मानवीय आत्मा इस कार्य, विश्वासियों को परमेश्वर द्वारा दी गई बातों के बारे में सिखाना, को नहीं कर सकता है। इसलिए, परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए सँसाधनों के बारे में सीखने के लिए साँसारिक साधनों और तरीकों, या मनुष्यों पर भरोसा रखना, उन पर निर्भर रहना, न केवल व्यर्थ है, बल्कि परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रति अविश्वासी होना भी है, क्योंकि वचन जिस का हो पाना संभव नहीं कहता है, उसे ही करने के प्रयास करना है।

• क्योंकि प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी में पवित्र आत्मा निवास करता है, इसलिए किसी भी ‘सँसार के आत्मा’ पर भरोसा रखने की बजाए, अर्थात पवित्र आत्मा के अतिरिक्त किसी भी अन्य पर निर्भर होने की बजाए, विश्वासी को परमेश्वर के वचन के मूल लेखक, पवित्र आत्मा से ही सीखना है, जो विश्वासी को परमेश्वर द्वारा दिया गया शिक्षक, सहायक, और मार्गदर्शक है। पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने की अनदेखी कर के, मनुष्यों और उनकी रचनाओं से सीखने के पीछे जाना, पवित्र आत्मा को नीचा दिखाना, परमेश्वर का अपमान करना, और उसका अनाज्ञाकारी होना है।

    अगले लेख में हम यहाँ से आगे बढ़ेंगे, और पद 13 पर विचार आरंभ करेंगे।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Learning from the Holy Spirit – 20

 

    As stewards of God’s Holy Spirit, given at the moment of their salvation to every Christian Believer by God, the Believers have to learn from Him, not only the Word of God, the Bible, but also about God’s other provisions to the Believer, including the Holy Spirit Himself. The Holy Spirit has been given to every Christian Believer to help and guide him in living his Christian life and fulfil his God given ministry; since He is their Helper, Companion, Teacher, and Guide. But, as we have seen in the previous articles, those who disregard the ministry of the Holy Spirit in their lives and do not make the efforts to serve as His worthy stewards, tend to rely upon learning God’s Word from men, and become prone to falling into many false teachings and wrong doctrines. Since the last article, we have started considering about learning from the Holy Spirit from 1 Corinthians 2:12-14, and are pondering over verse 12. Today we will continue looking at verse 12, to learn about learning from the Holy Spirit.

    At the beginning of verse 12 Paul asserts that the Believers have ‘received’ by implication, not earned or acquired in any way God’s Holy Spirit. Paul then makes clear what spirit he is talking about, “not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God.” Since the readers of his letter, the Christian Believers, have the Holy Spirit residing in them, Paul then makes a second assertion, one that every Christian Believer needs to understand and apply in his life. Paul’s second assertion is that “that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” In other words, it is expected from Christian Believers that they know, they learn about the things that God has freely given to them. This expectation is not an option, but is mandatory, is based on the presence of the Holy Spirit in them. He is not only their Teacher of God’s Word, about also about the provisions of God in their lives. The Believers can draw some important lessons from this for their practical Christian living:

• Things given by God are not to be taken casually, nor treated lightly; no Believer can be careless or unconcerned about them. They should be learnt about, cared for, and appropriately utilized by the Believers, ‘handled with care’ so to say. They have been given to the Believers by God for a purpose, they cannot be taken for granted, and in deference to the honor and stature of the person who has given them, they must be used in a manner that will glorify the giver, i.e., God. Hence it is essential that every Christian Believer learns about all that God has given him, learn why it has been given, learn how to fulfil that purpose, and how put that gift to good use in their Christian living and for fulfilling their God given ministry.

• Because this assertion of knowing about the things given by God, has been made based on the presence of the Holy Spirit in the Believer, and it has been specifically pointed out that the Spirit given to them is not the spirit of the world, therefore, it implies that no worldly or human spirit can fulfil this function, of making known to the Believers about the things given to them by God. Hence, it is not only futile to try and learn about God’s provisions from worldly sources and means, from men; but it is not only vain but is also being disbelieving to God’s Word, by attempting to do what it says cannot be done.

• Since every Believer has the Holy Spirit residing in him, therefore instead of relying on any ‘spirit of the world’ i.e., anything or anyone other than the Holy Spirit, the Believer must learn from Holy Spirit – the actual author of God’s Word, the Teacher, Helper, and Guide given by God to every Believer. To ignore learning from the Holy Spirit, and going after learning from men and their works, is demeaning the Holy Spirit, insulting God, being disobedient to Him.

    In the next article, we will carry on from here and take up verse 13 for consideration.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

    नया-जन्म पाए हुए प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी में उसके उद्धार पाने के समय से ही पवित्र आत्मा निवास करने लगता है, और इसलिए उसे परमेश्वर के पवित्र आत्मा का योग्य भण्डारी बन कर कार्य करना सीखना है। परमेश्वर ने अपना पवित्र आत्मा प्रत्येक विश्वासी को उसका सहायक, साथी, शिक्षक, और मार्गदर्शक होने के लिए दिया है; तथा विश्वासियों को मसीही जीवन जीने और परमेश्वर द्वारा उन्हें सौंपी गई सेवकाई को पूरा करने में सहायक होने के लिए भी। क्योंकि पवित्र आत्मा विश्वासी का शिक्षक भी है, इसलिए उसे परमेश्वर का वचन भी सिखाता है, यदि वह उस से सीखने के लिए तैयार हो; और बजाए मनुष्यों पर निर्भर रहने के और उस के कारण गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ जाने का जोखिम उठाने के। पिछले लेखों में हमने 1 पतरस 2:1-2 से सीखा है कि विश्वासी को पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के लिए अपने आप को किस प्रकार तैयार करना चाहिए, और फिर भजन 25 से देखा है कि परमेश्वर कैसे अपने लोगों को अपना वचन और मार्ग सिखाता है। आज से हम 1 कुरिन्थियों 2:12-14 से पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के बारे में देखेंगे।

    पहले हमने यूहन्ना 14:26 से तथा यूहन्ना 16:13-15 से देखा था कि पवित्र आत्मा का मसीही विश्वासियों की सहायता और मार्गदर्शन करने का तरीका है उन्हें कोई नए दर्शन अथवा प्रकाशन देने की बजाए उन्हें प्रभु यीशु की बातों को स्मरण करवाना तथा जो प्रभु अपने शिष्यों से पहले कह चुका है उन बातों में से लेकर उन्हें बताना। यहाँ, 1 कुरिन्थियों 2:12 में, पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा पौलुस यही बात कुछ भिन्न शब्दों में कह रहा है। पौलुस कहता है कि विश्वासियों को परमेश्वर द्वारा पवित्र आत्मा दिया गया है ताकि “हम उन बातों को जानें, जो परमेश्वर ने हमें दी हैं।” परमेश्वर कोई भी काम निरुद्देश्य नहीं करता है, और न ही किसी को कुछ भी उसे व्यर्थ गँवा देने के लिए नहीं देता है। मसीही विश्वासियों को विभिन्न वरदान और सँसाधन इसीलिए दिए गए हैं कि वे अपने मसीही जीवन को जीएँ  और अपनी सेवकाई को पूरा करें। परमेश्वर ने उन्हें अपना पवित्र आत्मा दिया है कि विश्वासियों को उसके बारे में सिखाए जो कुछ उसने उन्हें सेंत-मेंत या अनुग्रहपूर्वक दिया है, तथा कैसे उसे परमेश्वर के राज्य और महिमा के लिए उपयोग करें। कोई विश्वासी यह नहीं कह सकता है कि परमेश्वर ने उसे कुछ नहीं दिया है; यह उसकी ज़िम्मेदारी है कि वह पहचाने अथवा पता लगाए कि परमेश्वर ने उसे क्या वरदान दिए हैं, और उस से कौन सी सेवकाई लेना चाहता है; और फिर पवित्र आत्मा की सहायता और मार्गदर्शन में उसका निर्वाह करे। पवित्र आत्मा उसे परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए सँसाधनों के बारे में सिखाने के लिए है; यह कुछ उस के समान है जिसे हमने पिछले लेख में भजन 25:12 से परमेश्वर द्वारा अपने लोगों को सिखाने के बारे में देखा था, परमेश्वर उन्हें उस के अनुसार सिखाता है जो वह चाहता है कि लोग उसके लिए करें।

    विश्वासी, यदि वे अपने वरदान और सेवकाई के बारे में नहीं जानते हैं, तो उन्हें परमेश्वर से यह प्रकट करने के लिए माँगना चाहिए, उस से यह जानने के लिए सच्चे मन से प्रार्थना करने के द्वारा, तथा इस खरे, समर्पित उद्देश्य के साथ कि फिर वे परमेश्वर द्वारा सौंपे गए काम और दी गई सेवकाई को पूरा करेंगे तथा जैसा वह उन से चाहता है, वैसा ही जीवन भी जीएँगे। लोग सामान्यतः अपने वरदानों और सेवकाई को अपने जीवन पर ध्यान करने के द्वारा पहचान सकते हैं, यह देखने के द्वारा कि कलीसिया और परमेश्वर के लोगों के लिए किन कामों को वे अच्छे से करने पाते हैं, अन्य लोग उन से अकसर क्या करने के लिए और किस बात में सहायता देने के लिए कहते हैं, और वे परमेश्वर के लिए क्या करने से आनन्दित रहते हैं, आदि। सभी वरदान और सेवाकाइयाँ परमेश्वर के लिए समान महत्व और मूल्य के होते हैं, तथा सभी को एक ही वरदान अथवा सेवकाई नहीं दी गई है। इसलिए किसी को भी किसी अन्य के वरदान अथवा सेवकाई को लेकर ईर्ष्या अथवा लालच नहीं करना चाहिए। और न ही किसी को उसे जो नहीं मिला है या किसी अन्य को जो दिया गया है, उस को लेकर कुड़कुड़ाना चाहिए। प्रतिफलों के लिए होने वाले अन्तिम न्याय के समय, प्रत्येक का न्याय उसके अनुसार किया जाएगा जो उन्हें दिया गया था, और उन्होंने उसे परमेश्वर के राज्य और महिमा के लिए कि प्रकार से उपयोग किया।

    प्रभु यीशु मसीह के साथ क्रूस पर चढ़ाए गए डाकुओं में से पश्चाताप करने वाले के बारे में सोचिए; उसकी सेवकाई कुछ ही मिनटों की, तथा केवल एक ही वाक्य बोलने की थी। यह कदापि संभव नहीं था कि वह कहीं पर जाता या प्रभु के लिए कुछ करता; लेकिन आज भी, इस घटना के होने के 2000 वर्ष से भी अधिक बीत जाने के बाद भी, वह आज भी असंख्य लोगों से बोलता रहता है, कितनों को विश्वास में लेकर आता है, कितनों की उन के प्रभावी होकर विश्वास में बढ़ने में सहायता करता है,  और उसकी सेवकाई आज भी ज़ारी है। इसी प्रकार से आज भी अनगिनत ऐसे प्रभु के सेवक और संत हैं जिन्हें यह पता ही नहीं है कि उनके जीवन तथा कार्यों ने औरों के जीवनों को किस प्रकार से प्रभावित किया है, उन्हें बदला है, और सँसार के न जाने कितने लोगों के उद्धार का कारण बने हैं। हो सकता है कि उन्होंने अपने जीवनों या कार्यों को कभी किसी योग्य भी न समझा हो, लेकिन परमेश्वर ने उन्हें बहुत सामर्थी रीति से उपयोग किया है। जो भी जीवन परमेश्वर की आज्ञाकारिता में और परमेश्वर को आदर देने के लिए जिया जाएगा, वह हमेशा ही बहुतायत से फलवन्त होगा तथा परमेश्वर द्वारा बड़े इनाम पाएगा।

    कोई भी वरदान अथवा सेवकाई छोटी या महत्वहीन नहीं है; परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में, प्रत्येक वरदान और सेवकाई का समान महत्व और मूल्य है। किसी को भी 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:31 के “बड़े से बड़े वरदानों” की गलत व्याख्या से भरमाए नहीं जाना चाहिए। यह समझने के लिए कि इसका वास्तविक अर्थ क्या है, उसे उसके संदर्भ, 1 कुरिन्थियों 12:28-3 में देखिए, तथा वहाँ दिए गए आत्मिक वरदानों के क्रम पर ध्यान कीजिए – बहुधा जिस का “बड़ा” या “सर्वोच्च” वरदान होने का दावा किया जाता है और इसलिए उसका लालच किया जाता है, “अन्य-भाषा बोलने का वरदान” वह प्रथम नहीं, अन्तिम है। यह विषय एक पहले के लेख में, 28 अगस्त 2022 को विस्तार से दिया गया है, और पाठक उसे वहाँ से पढ़ सकते हैं। बजाए इसे ले कर कुड़कुड़ाने के कि उसे क्या नहीं मिला है, विश्वासियों को परमेश्वर का धन्यवाद करना चाहिए, हर उस बात के लिए जो उसने उन्हें सेंत-मेंत और अनुग्रह द्वारा प्रदान की है, तथा पवित्र आत्मा की सहायता से “उन बातों को जानें, जो परमेश्वर ने हमें दी हैं” और फिर उन्हें पवित्र आत्मा के मार्गदर्शन में परमेश्वर के राज्य और महिमा के लिए उपयोग करे। अगले लेख में हम यहाँ से आगे देखेंगे।

    Every Born-Again Christian Believer, having the Holy Spirit residing in him since the time of his salvation, must learn to function as a worthy steward of the Holy Spirit of God. God has given His Holy Spirit to every Believer, as his Helper, Companion, Teacher, and Guide; to help the Believers live their Christian lives and fulfil their God assigned ministry. The Holy Spirit is also to be the Believer’s Teacher and teaches him God’s Word, if he is willing to learn from Him; instead of the Believer relying upon men and thereby becoming prone to fall into erroneous teachings. In the previous articles we have seen from 1 Peter 2:1-2 how the Believer should prepare himself to learn from the Holy Spirit, and then from Psalm 25 about how God teaches His people His Word and ways. From today we will start considering from 1 Corinthians 2:12-14 about learning from the Holy Spirit.

    Earlier, we had seen from John 14:26 and from John 16:13-15 that the way the Holy Spirit helps and guides the Christian Believers is not by giving any new revelations or teachings, but by bringing to their remembrance and declaring to the Lord’s disciples what the Lord has already taught to them. Here, in 1 Corinthians 2:12, Paul, through the Holy Spirit is saying the same thing, in different words. Paul says that the Holy Spirit has been given to the Believers by God, so that “we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” God does not do anything without a purpose, and does not give anything to anyone to be wasted away. Having given various gifts and provisions to the Christian Believer, to live his Christian life and fulfil his ministry, God has also given the Holy Spirit to teach the Believers about what He has freely or graciously given to them, and how to put it use for God’s Kingdom and glory. No Believer can say that God has not given him anything; it is his responsibility to recognize or find out the gifts God has given him, the ministry God wants done through him, and then carry it out through the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is there to teach the Believers about the things that God has given him; this is something like what we saw in the last article, from Psalm 25:12 about God teaching His people that which He choses to teach them, according to what He wants to have them do for Him.

    The Believers, if they are not aware of their ministry and gifts, should ask God to reveal it to them, by earnestly praying to Him about it, with a sincere desire to then work to fulfil their God assigned ministry and live for Him the way He wants them to live. They can usually recognize their gifts and ministry by reviewing their lives and seeing what they usually are good at doing for the Church and God’s people; the things people often ask to help them out with; the things they enjoy doing for God, etc. Every gift and ministry are of equal value and importance for God, and not everyone has been given the same gift or ministry. So, none should feel envious about someone else’s gift and ministry, nor covet it. Neither should anyone grumble about what they have not received and what others have received. At the final judgment for rewards, everyone will be judged for what was given to them, and how they put it to use for the Kingdom and glory of God.

    Consider the penitent thief on the cross, when the Lord Jesus was crucified; his ministry was only of a few minutes, and of speaking one single sentence. There was no way that he could go anywhere or do anything for the Lord after his repentance; but till today, over 2000 years after the incidence, he still continues to speak to countless people, and bring so many to faith, or make so many grow in their faith – effectively, his ministry continues even today. Similarly, there are numerous saints and servants of God, who don’t even know how their lives and works have impacted others, changed them, and saved so many people in the world. They may not even have considered their lives and efforts worthwhile, but God has still used it mightily. The life lived in obedience to, and for honoring God, will always bring abundant fruits and be greatly rewarded by God.

    No gift or ministry is small or insignificant; in God’s eyes, every gift and every ministry is of equal value. No one should get carried away because of misunderstanding “best gifts” of 1 Corinthians 12:31. To understand what it actually means, see it in its context of 1 Corinthians 12:28-31, and consider the sequence in which the spiritual gifts are mentioned there – the often touted and coveted as ‘the best,’ the gift of ‘tongues’ is the last one, not first. This topic has been covered earlier in another article of 28th August 2022 in detail, and the readers can read about it there. Instead of grumbling about what he has got or not got, the Believer should thank God for whatever God has graciously or ‘freely’ given to him, and through the help of Holy Sprit “know the things that have been freely given to us by God,” then put them to use under His guidance for God’s Kingdom and glory. We will carry on from here in the next article.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.

    क्योंकि प्रत्येक नया-जन्म पाया हुआ मसीही विश्वासी पवित्र आत्मा का भण्डारी भी है, जो उस में निवास करता है, और उसके उद्धार पाने के क्षण ही में परमेश्वर के द्वारा उसे दे दिया जाता है, इसलिए उसे अपने भण्डारी होने का निर्वाह योग्य रीति से करना है। विश्वासी को परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा दिया गया ताकि उसके मसीही जीवन को जीने और परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई सेवकाई का ठीक प्रकार से निर्वाह करने में उसका सहायक हो, मार्गदर्शक हो। पवित्र आत्मा विश्वासी का शिक्षक भी है; जिन अन्य बातों को विश्वासी को सीखना होता है, उन के अतिरिक्त, पवित्र आत्मा विश्वासी को परमेश्वर के वचन को भी सिखाता है। इसलिए प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी को किसी मनुष्य एवं मनुष्य की रचनाओं पर निर्भर रहने की बजाए, परमेश्वर के वचन को पवित्र आत्मा से सीखना चाहिए, जिस से कि किसी भी प्रकार की गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ने के खतरे से बचा रहे। पिछले लेखों में हमने देखा है कि लोग क्यों पवित्र आत्मा की बजाए, मनुष्यों से सीखने पर अधिक निर्भर रहना चाहते हैं; और हमने 1 पतरस 2:1-2 से यह भी देखा है कि विश्वासी को पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के लिए अपने आप को किस प्रकार से तैयार करना चाहिए। पिछले लेख से हमने भजन 25 से परमेश्वर द्वारा लोगों को अपने वचन और मार्गों को सीखने के बारे में देखना आरंभ किया है। यह भजन विश्वासी के परमेश्वर से वचन को सीखने के बारे में मनन करने के लिए कुछ बहुत गंभीर और महत्वपूर्ण बातों को दिखाता है; और साथ ही कुछ गलत धारणाओं का भी, जो वचन सीखने के बारे में सामान्यतः लोगों में पाई जाती हैं, निवारण कर देता है। संबंधित पदों से, जिस क्रम में वे लिखे गए हैं, पिछले लेख में हमने पद 8 और 9 से देखा था, कि परमेश्वर पापियों को सिखाता है, और वह सीखने वाले में नम्रता होने की माँग करता है। आज हम एक और पद से आगे सीखेंगे।

    परमेश्वर द्वारा वचन और उसके मार्ग सिखाने से संबंधित यह अगला पद है:

•     पद 12: “वह कौन है जो यहोवा का भय मानता है? यहोवा उसको उसी मार्ग पर जिस से वह प्रसन्न होता है चलाएगा।” यह पद हमारे सामने उन विश्वासियों के लिए जो परमेश्वर से सीखना चाहते हैं, दो बातों को विचार करने के लिए रखता है।

o   पहली, परमेश्वर सीखने वाले में न केवल नम्रता चाहता है, लेकिन साथ ही यह भी कि वह यहोवा का भय मानता है। बहुत से लोग परमेश्वर का भय रखने का दावा तो करते हैं, किन्तु वे इसे अपने जीवन में व्यावहारिक रीति से प्रकट नहीं करते हैं। अधिकाँश के लिए परमेश्वर का भय रखने का अर्थ होता है अपनी नैतिक और धार्मिक धारणाओं का रीति के अनुसार निर्वाह करते रहना। किन्तु परमेश्वर का वचन हमारे लिए परिभाषित करता है कि वास्तव में परमेश्वर का भय क्या होता है, “यहोवा का भय मानना बुराई से बैर रखना है। घमण्ड, अहंकार, और बुरी चाल से, और उलट फेर की बात से भी मैं बैर रखती हूं” (नीतिवचन 8:13)। इसलिए, वह जो वास्तव में परमेश्वर का भय मानता है, वह हर प्रकार की बुराई से बैर रखेगा, और अपने जीवन के द्वारा उसे व्यावहारिक रीति से भी दिखाएगा। साथ ही वह इस बात के लिए भी सचेत रहेगा कि इस पद में लिखी उन अन्य बातों से भी दूर रहे जिन से परमेश्वर बैर रखता है।

o   दूसरी, उसे परमेश्वर उसी मार्ग पर जिस से वह प्रसन्न होता है चलाएगा; अर्थात, परमेश्वर ने उसके लिए जो तय किया है, उसके अनुसार उसे सिखाएगा। प्रत्येक विश्वासी के लिए परमेश्वर ने पहले से ही कुछ बातें निर्धारित कर के रखी हैं (इफिसियों 2:10); और उसे के अनुसार उसे आत्मिक वरदान भी दिए हैं कि उस कार्य या सेवकाई का निर्वाह करे (रोमियों 12:6-18)। परमेश्वर उसी के अनुसार सिखाता है, जो वह चाहता है कि वह व्यक्ति उसके लिए करे। बाइबल, परमेश्वर की आशीषों और गुणों का भण्डार है, और हर कोई उस से सीख सकता है; परमेश्वर ने जो कार्य और सेवकाई विश्वासी के लिए निर्धारित की है, उसे के अनुसार सीखने और उस में बढ़ने की योग्यता और क्षमता भी उसे प्रदान करता है। विश्वासी जैसे-जैसे अपनी सेवकाई को पूरा करते हैं, परमेश्वर के प्रति आज्ञाकारी और प्रतिबद्ध बने रहते हैं, परमेश्वर भी उन्हें और परिपक्व करता जाता है, और उनकी विश्वासयोग्यता के लिए उन्हें और अधिक आशीषित करता है, जैसा कि भजन 25:13-14 से प्रकट है।

Learning from the Holy Spirit – 18

     Since every Born-Again Christian Believer is a steward of the Holy Spirit, who resides in him, and has been given to him by God at the very moment of his being saved, therefore, he has to ensure fulfilling his stewardship worthily. God the Holy Spirit has been given to him to help and guide him in his Christian life and for fulfilling his God given ministry. The Holy Spirit is also the Believer’s Teacher; besides other things that he needs to learn, He teaches him God’s Word the Bible. Therefore, every Christian Believer should learn the Word of God from the Holy Spirit, instead of relying upon men and their works, to avoid falling into any possible erroneous teachings. In the previous articles we have seen why people rely more upon men to learn God’s Word, than learn from the Holy Spirit; and have seen from 1 Peter 2:1-2 how the Believer should prepare himself to learn from the Holy Spirit. Since the last article, we have started to see from Psalm 25, about God’s teaching His people. This Psalm shows us some very important points to ponder over in learning from God; and it also dispels many common misconceptions related to learning God’s Word and ways, seen amongst the people. From the relevant verses, in the order of the verses, we have seen from verses 8 and 9 in the last article, that God teaches sinners, and He requires humility in the learner. Today we will carry on learning from one more verse.

    The next verse related to God’s teaching His Word and ways is:

• Verse 12: “Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses.” This verse puts before us two points for the Believers wanting to learn from God, to consider.

• Firstly, God not only wants humility in the learner, but also that he should be a man that fears the Lord. Many people claim to fear the Lord, but they do not practically demonstrate it through their lives. For most, being in the fear of the Lord usually means a ritualistic observance of their religious and moral beliefs. But God’s Word defines for us, what fear of the Lord actually is, “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate” (Proverbs 8:13). Therefore, the person who actually does fear the Lord, will hate evil in all its forms, and demonstrate it practically through his life. And he will also be careful to see that the other things mentioned in this verse that God hates, do not have a place in his life.

• Secondly, God will teach that person; but Him shall He teach in the way He chooses; i.e., will teach according to what God has chosen for him. For every Believer, God has prepared somethings to do beforehand (Ephesians 2:10); and has given him spiritual gifts accordingly, to fulfil that work or ministry (Romans 12:6-8). God teaches according to what He wants that person to do for Him. The Bible is a treasure trove of God’s blessings and abilities, and everyone can learn from it; God will give the ability to learn and grow in the work or ministry that He has assigned to every Believer. As the Believers fulfil their ministry, remain obedient and committed to God in it, God will continue to teach them more, mature them further, and be blessed because of their faithful service, as is borne out from Psalm 25:13-14.

    Therefore, Psalm 25:4 “Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths” should be the heartfelt prayer of every Christian Believer, to learn from God. God never imposes Himself on anyone, when we ask Him and allow Him to, He does wonderful things in our life that will benefit us and glorify Him. In the next article we will begin to see from 1 Corinthians 2:12-14 about the Holy Spirit’s teaching the Believers.

    प्रत्येक नया-जन्म पाए हुए मसीही विश्वासी में, उसके उद्धार पाने के क्षण से ही परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा आकर निवास करने लगता है। परमेश्वर ने उसे मसीही विश्वासी को दिया है कि उसे मसीही जीवन जीने और परमेश्वर द्वारा उसे सौंपी गई सेवकाई में उसका सहायक, साथी, शिक्षक, और मार्गदर्शक हो। परमेश्वर के द्वारा दिए गए सँसाधन का भण्डारी होने के नाते, यह प्रत्येक मसीही विश्वासी के लिए अनिवार्य है कि वह पवित्र आत्मा के बारे में सीखे, और साथ ही उस से परमेश्वर के वचन बाइबल को भी सीखे, ताकि योग्य रीति से उसकी सेवाओं और सामर्थ्य का अपने जीवन में उपयोग कर सके। पिछले कुछ लेखों में हम 1 पतरस 2:1-2 से देखते आ रहे हैं कि परमेश्वर के वचन को, मनुष्यों से सीखने की बजाए, परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से कैसे सीखना है। मनुष्य से सीखने से परमेश्वर के लोग झूठी शिक्षाओं, गलत सिद्धांतों, और मनुष्यों के अपने विचारों तथा धारणाओं से गढ़ी हुए बातों को, परमेश्वर का सत्य समझ कर सीखने के खतरे में पड़ जाते हैं।

    हमने 1 पतरस 2:1-2 से यह भी देखा है कि पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने के लिए, विश्वासी को साँसारिक और शारीरिक व्यवहार को त्याग देना होगा, उसे पवित्र आत्मा से सीखने की वास्तविक, सच्ची इच्छा रखनी होगी, और अपने अंदर केवल परमेश्वर के वचन और शिक्षाओं के “निर्मल आत्मिक दूध” को ही प्राप्त करने की उत्कंठा रखनी होगी, बजाए परमेश्वर के सत्य के नाम पर कुछ भी मिलावटी बातें ग्रहण करने की प्रवृत्ति रखने के। जब विश्वासी के अन्दर यह वास्तविक लालसा होगी, वह परमेश्वर से माँगेगा कि वही उसे सिखाए, और मनुष्यों की बातों की बजाए पवित्र आत्मा के मार्गदर्शन में चलने का साहस रखने का निर्णय लेगा, तो उस में निवास करने वाला पवित्र आत्मा उसकी सहायता करेगा, उसका मार्गदर्शन करेगा, उसे सही और गलत, शुद्ध और मिलावटी में पहचान और भेद करने की योग्यता और क्षमता देगा। आज हम भजन 25 से सीखना आरंभ करेंगे कि परमेश्वर अपने लोगों को अपना वचन कैसे सिखाता है।

• पद 8: “यहोवा भला और सीधा है; इसलिये वह पापियों को अपना मार्ग दिखलाएगा।” परमेश्वर पक्षपात नहीं करता है; यदि वे सच्चे मन से उस से सीखना चाहें, तो परमेश्वर पापियों को भी अपने मार्ग दिखाता है। दाऊद ने जिस समय यह भजन लिखा था, उस समय प्रभु यीशु में विश्वास के द्वारा उद्धार पाने के बारे में कोई नहीं जानता था; इसलिए, इस खण्ड पर विचार करते समय, परमेश्वर के उन लोगों में “उद्धार पाए हुए” और “उद्धार नहीं पाए हुए” होने के बारे में सोचना पूर्णतः असंगत है। यद्यपि कोई भी “निष्पाप” और “परिशुद्ध” नहीं हो सकता था, किन्तु साधारण विचार यही था कि परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में धर्मी होने के लिए, उसका आज्ञाकारी होना चाहिए। शैतान द्वारा लोगों को बहकाए जाने का एक तरीका है उन के अन्दर यह विचार डालना कि वे परमेश्वर और उसके वचन के निकट आने, तथा उसके वचन को सीखने के लायक धर्मी और भले नहीं हैं; और वचन को सीखने के लिए पर्याप्त धर्मी और भला होना आवश्यक है। किन्तु यह पद इन सभी विचारों, धारणाओं, और तर्क की व्यर्थता को दिखाता है। क्योंकि हमारे हृदयों में बोया गया वचन हमें उद्धार पाने तक लेकर जाता है (रोमियों 10:8-10; 1 कुरिन्थियों 15:2; इफिसियों 1:13; याकूब 1:21), तो फिर परमेश्वर उसे पापियों से रोक के क्यों रखेगा और उन्हें उसके पास आने तथा उद्धार पाने से वंचित क्यों करे रहेगा? जब विश्वासी सुसमाचार प्रचार करते हैं, तब क्या वे परमेश्वर के वचन को पापियों और “उद्धार नहीं पाए हुए” लोगों के हृदय में नहीं बो रहे होते हैं?

• पद 9: “वह नम्र लोगों को न्याय की शिक्षा देगा, हां वह नम्र लोगों को अपना मार्ग दिखलाएगा।” सम्पूर्ण बाइबल में नम्रता ऐसा सदगुण है जिसकी बहुत सराहना की गई है और उसे परमेश्वर के लोगों का एक गुण बताया गया है। परमेश्वर नम्रता की बहुत कद्र करता है तथा उसे इनाम देता है (याकूब 4:6, 10; 1 पतरस 5:5-6); और यह पद हमें बताता है कि जो उसकी दृष्टि में नम्र होते हैं, परमेश्वर उन्हें अपने मार्ग दिखाता है। साँसारिक एवं शारीरिक व्यवहार के चिह्न 1 कुरिन्थियों 3:3 में दिए गए हैं, और ये वे बाते हैं जिन्हें, जैसा हमने हाल ही में 1 पतरस 2:1 से देखा है, परमेश्वर के लोगों को पहले छोड़ना होगा, तब ही वे परमेश्वर का वचन सीखने पाएँगे। ये सभी घमण्ड, अर्थात नम्रता न होने के चिह्न अथवा परिणाम हैं। परमेश्वर को घमण्ड से घृणा है, और वह उसके साथ किसी भी रीति से कोई संपर्क नहीं रखता है। इसलिए जो भी परमेश्वर से उसका वचन सीखना चाहता है, पहले उसे परमेश्वर की दृष्टि में नम्र होना सीखना पड़ेगा, उसके बाद ही वह उस से कुछ सीखने की आशा रख सकता है।

    हम अगले लेख में यहाँ से आगे देखेंगे, और इस भजन से कुछ अन्य तरीकों को देखेंगे जिनके द्वारा परमेश्वर अपने लोगों को सिखाता है।

    यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Learning from the Holy Spirit – 17

 

    In every Born-Again Christian Believer, God the Holy Spirit resides since the moment of his salvation. He has been given by God to him to be his Helper, Companion, Teacher, and Guide, for living his Christian life and fulfilling his God assigned ministry. As a steward of God given provision, it is incumbent upon every Believer to learn about the Holy Spirit, as well as to learn God’s Word the Bible from Him, to worthily utilize His services and strength in their lives. Over the past few articles, we have been learning about learning God’s Word from the Holy Spirit, instead of learning from man. Learning from man renders God’s people prone to learning false teachings, wrong doctrines, and various personal thoughts and opinions of man in the name of God’s truth.

    We have also seen from 1 Peter 2:1-2 that to learn from the Holy Spirit, the Believer needs to separate out from worldly and carnal behavior, has to sincerely desire learning from the Holy Spirit, and must have a craving for only the “pure milk of the Word of God” and its teachings, instead of being willing to accept any adulterated teachings dispensed as God’s truth to him. When the Believer has this sincere longing in him, asks God for teaching him, and is willing to take the bold step of following the guidance of the Holy Spirit in preference to following men and their teachings, the Holy Spirit residing in him helps and guides him, gives him the discernment and ability to recognize the true from the false, the pure from the impure. Today we will begin to learn from Psalm 25 about God’s teaching His Word to His people.

    The promise of the Holy Spirit being with the Born-Again Believers was made by the Lord Jesus to His disciples in His last discourse with them, before His being taken for crucifixion. The Lord had taught them about the Holy Spirit during His earthly ministry; and what he taught in this final discourse has been recorded for us in John chapters 14 to 16. But this does not mean that God’s people in the Old Testament times did not have the benefit of divine help and guidance for learning about God and His Word. One of the sections of the Scriptures that deals with God’s teaching His people is a psalm written by David under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Through David, God has had recorded in His Word some very important things for everyone who wants to learn His Word, to ponder over. These things negate many misconceptions that people have about learning God’s Word, and do away with many misunderstandings that Satan has deviously been propagating about learning God’s Word.

    In the order they have been written, the relevant verses from Psalm 25 are:

• Verse 8: “Good and upright is the Lord; Therefore, He teaches sinners in the way." God does not discriminate; he teaches even the sinners, if they sincerely want to learn from Him. When David wrote this Psalm, there was no concept of salvation by faith in the Lord Jesus amongst God’s people; therefore, it is irrelevant to think in terms of “saved” and “not saved” when considering this passage. Though no one could be ‘sinless’ and ‘pure’ but the general idea was to be obedient to God’s Word to be righteous in His eyes. One of the ways in which Satan misleads people is to put it in them that they are not righteous or good enough to approach God, or His Word, or to learn God’s Word; and that one can only learn God’s Word after becoming sufficiently righteous or good. But this verse shows the fallacy of all such teachings. Since it is God’s Word implanted in our hearts that leads us to salvation (Romans 10:8-10; 1 Corinthians 15:2; Ephesians 1:13; James 1:21), why will God withhold it from sinners and deny them the opportunity to draw near to Him to be saved? When Believers preach the gospel, are they not sowing God’s Word to the sinners and the ‘not-saved’ people?

• Verse 9: “The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way.” Throughout the Bible, humility is a virtue that has been greatly praised, and is considered a characteristic of God’s people. God greatly cares for, and rewards humility (James 4:6, 10; 1 Peter 5:5-6); and this verse tells us that those who are humble in His sight, He teaches them His ways. The signs of worldliness and carnality given in 1 Corinthians 3:3, things which, as we have recently seen from 1 Peter 2:1, God’s people must give up before learning God’s Word। They are all manifestations or consequences of pride, i.e., due to lack of humility. God hates pride, does not in anyway associate with it. Therefore, anyone wanting to learn God’s Word must learn to be humble – in God’s eyes, before expecting to learn anything from God.

    We will carry on from here in the next article, and see some other ways in which God teaches His people, from this Psalm.

    If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life.  Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
