पिछले लेख में हमने देखा था कि प्रेरितों 2:4-11 का खण्ड किसी भी रीति से इन लोगों के द्वारा पवित्र आत्म के बारे में प्रचार किए जाने वाले गलत दावों तथा उनके द्वारा अन्य भाषाओं में बोलने की गलत व्याख्या का कोई समर्थन नहीं करता है। हमने देखा था कि बाइबल के इस उदाहरण के विपरीत, य लोग जो बोलते हैं, उसमें न तो कोई मुख्य भाषा होती है, और न ही कोई बोलियाँ। तथा, उनमें से कोई भी उस भाषा का नाम भी नहीं जानता है जिसे वे बोलते हैं, न ही कोई स्वयं यह समझता है किस उसने क्या कहा है, जो कि बाइबल के इस उदाहरण से बिलकुल मेल नहीं खाता है। तीसरी बात, बाइबल में कभी भी अन्य भाषा में बोलने को प्रार्थना की भाषा या प्रार्थना करने के लिए उपयोग नहीं किया गया है। वे अपने इस दावे को सही ठहराने, प्रार्थना कि भाषा दिखाने के लिए रोमियों 8:26-27 का गलत उपयोग करते हैं, उसकी गलत व्याख्या करते हैं। आज हम विचार करेंगे कि रोमियों 8:26-27 में वास्तव में क्या लिखा गया है।
आप स्वयं इन पदों को देख लीजिए इसी रीति से आत्मा भी हमारी दुर्बलता में सहायता करता है, क्योंकि हम नहीं जानते, कि प्रार्थना किस रीति से करना चाहिए; परन्तु आत्मा आप ही ऐसी आहें भर भरकर जो बयान से बाहर है, हमारे लिये बिनती करता है। और मनों का जांचने वाला जानता है, कि आत्मा की मनसा क्या है क्योंकि वह पवित्र लोगों के लिये परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार बिनती करता है। (रोमियों 8:26-27)। यहाँ बिलकुल स्पष्ट लिखा है कि पवित्र आत्मा स्वयं ही प्रार्थना करता है, न कि वह किसी व्यक्ति से प्रार्थना करवाता है। यह भी नहीं लिखा है कि पवित्र आत्मा किसी अलौकिक भाषा में प्रार्थना करता है। वरन्, जो लिखा है वह यह है कि वह आहें भर-भर के प्रार्थना करता है। तो अब, पवित्र आत्मा के आहें भरने की आवाज को किसी व्यक्ति के द्वारा बोली गई अलौकिक भाषा कैसे कहा जा सकता है? यह सभी एक गलत शिक्षा को सही ठहराने के लिए परमेश्वर के वचन को तोड़-मरोड़ कर प्रस्तुत करना, उसका घोर दुरुपयोग करना है।
रोमियों के इन पदों में साफ लिखा है कि परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा हमारी दुर्बलताओं की स्थिति में, जब हम नहीं जानते कि ऐसे में क्या प्रार्थना की जाए, तब स्वयं आहें भरकर हमारे लिए परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार विनती करता है। यहाँ यह कहीं नहीं लिखा या अर्थ दिया गया है कि पवित्र आत्मा मसीही विश्वासियों से अन्य-भाषा बोलने के द्वारा प्रार्थना करवाता है। आहें भरना, और वह भी किसी मनुष्य के द्वारा नहीं, वरन पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा, अन्य भाषा बोलना नहीं है। इन पदों में “हम नहीं जानते” मसीही विश्वासी की दुर्बलता की उस स्थिति के लिए आया है जिस में मसीही विश्वासी अपनी परिस्थिति से इतना अभिभूत या प्रभावित है कि उसे समझ ही नहीं आ रहा है कि वह क्या प्रार्थना करे; तब पवित्र आत्मा स्वयं उसके लिए प्रार्थना करके उसकी सहायता करता है। न तो रोमियों के ये पद मनुष्यों द्वारा अन्य-भाषाएं बोलने से संबंधित हैं, और न ही ये पद अन्य-भाषा बोलने को प्रार्थना की भाषा बताना जायज़ ठहराते हैं; वरन ये पद तो किसी बहुत ही अभिभूत कर देने वाली स्थिति में पवित्र आत्मा की सहायता से संबंधित हैं न कि किसी के द्वारा सामान्य प्रार्थनाएँ करने की स्थिति से। इन लोगों के द्वारा पदों की इस प्रकार व्याख्या करना सर्वथा गलत है, वचन के साथ खिलवाड़ और वचन का जान-बूझ कर किया गया दुरुपयोग है। सामान्य समझ की बात है, जब हम परमेश्वर से प्रार्थना करते हैं तो हमें पता होता है कि हम क्या और क्यूँ कह रहे हैं, परमेश्वर से क्या माँग रहे हैं। इन गलत शिक्षाओं वालों को तो स्वयं ही पता नहीं होता है कि उन्होंने कहा क्या है, तो फिर वे क्या प्रार्थना करते हैं, या क्या आराधना करते हैं, किसे पता है?
आज “अन्य-भाषा” को पृथ्वी के बाहर की भाषा बताने वाले लोगों द्वारा मुँह से निकाली जाने वाली विचित्र आवाजों पर ऊपर कही गई तीनों में से एक भी बात लागू नहीं होती है। अर्थात, जब प्रेरितों 2:4-11 को उसके संदर्भ में, और शब्दों के अर्थ तथा अभिप्रायों के साथ देखा और अध्ययन किया जाए, तो इन गलत शिक्षाएं फैलाने वालों की बातों का झूठ तुरंत ही सामने आ जाता है। अगले लेख में हम अन्य-भाषाएं बोलने से संबंधित एक और बहुत फैलाई जाने वाली किन्तु बिलकुल गलत शिक्षा, कि अन्य-भाषा बोलना ही पवित्र आत्मा प्राप्त करने का प्रमाण है, के बारे में वचन से देखेंगे।
यदि आप एक मसीही विश्वासी हैं, तो आपके लिए यह जानना और समझना अति-आवश्यक है कि आप परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से संबंधित इन गलत शिक्षाओं में न पड़ जाएं; न खुद भरमाए जाएं, और न ही आपके द्वारा कोई और भरमाया जाए। लोगों द्वारा कही जाने वाले ही नहीं, वरन वचन में लिखी हुई बातों पर भी ध्यान दें, और लोगों की बातों को वचन की बातों से मिला कर जाँचें और परखें। यदि आप इन गलत शिक्षाओं में पड़ चुके हैं, तो अभी वचन के अध्ययन और बात को जाँच-परख कर, सही शिक्षा को, उसी के पालन को अपना लें।
यदि आपने अभी तक प्रभु की शिष्यता को स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी उसके पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। यदि आपने अभी तक नया जन्म, उद्धार नहीं पाया है, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा नहीं माँगी है, तो अभी आपके पास समय और अवसर है कि यह कर लें। प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” परमेश्वर आपके साथ संगति रखने की बहुत लालसा रखता है तथा आपको आशीषित देखना चाहता है, लेकिन इसे सम्भव करना आपका व्यक्तिगत निर्णय है। सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी। क्या आप अभी समय और अवसर होते हुए, इस प्रार्थना को नहीं करेंगे? निर्णय आपका है।

Understanding ‘Tongues’ - ?Super-Natural Languages (4)
In the previous article we had seen that the passage, Acts 2:4-11 in no way justifies the assertion by these people preaching wrong ideas about the Holy Spirit and their interpretation of speaking in tongues. We had seen that unlike the Biblical example, in what they speak, there is no main language or any dialect. Also, unlike the Biblical example, none of them knows any name of the language they are speaking, nor do they themselves understand what they have said, let alone the people hearing them. Thirdly, in the Bible "speaking in tongues" has never been use as a prayer language. They try to justify this claim of "tongues" being a prayer language on the basis of misinterpreting Romans 8:26-27. Today we will consider what Romans 8:26-27 actually says.
See for yourselves Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. (Romans 8:26-27). It is very clearly stated in these verses that it is not that the Holy Spirit makes a person pray, but that He Himself prays. Neither does it say that the Holy Spirit prays in some super-natural language. Rather what is written is that while He is praying, He groans; so how can groaning sounds made by the Holy Spirit be called a super-natural language spoken by a person? All of this is a gross distortion and misinterpretation of God's Word, done to justify a false teaching.
It is quite clearly written in these verses from Romans that it is the Holy Spirit that makes intercession for us according to our needs, in situations when we are weak and do not know what to pray for. It is neither written here, nor implied that the Holy Spirit makes a Believer speak in “tongues” to pray to God. To ‘groan’, and that too by the Holy Spirit, is not the same as the person speaking in “tongues.” In these verses the phrase “we do not know what we should pray for as we ought” has come for the Christian Believer, who is in so overwhelmed, so caught up in some difficult situation that he is unable to understand what to pray for; in such situations the Holy Spirit Himself intercedes and prays for him. So, not only are these verses not talking about speaking in “tongues” as a “prayer language”, but they are about some extreme, overwhelming circumstances; and not the regular prayer a Believer has to do. To interpret these verses in the manner they are used by these people is wrong, is deliberately fooling around with God’s Word and misusing it. It is a common understanding that when we pray to God, we know what we are praying about, what we are asking and saying to God. These preachers and teachers of wrong doctrines and false teachings themselves do not know what they have said and why; then how can they actually and effectively pray or worship or converse with God?
None of the above-mentioned three things can be seen in the strange noises which these people utter in the name of speaking in “tongues”, in a supposedly “super-natural” language, today. In other words, when Acts 2:4-11 is seen in its context and along with the meanings of the words used in the original language, then the false teachings and preaching of these people immediately become apparent. In the next article we will look at another very commonly spread but absolutely wrong teaching, that speaking in “tongues” is the proof of having received the Holy Spirit, from the Word of God.
If you are a Christian Believer, then it is very essential for you to know and learn that you do not get beguiled and misled into wrong teachings and doctrines about the Holy Spirit; neither should you get deceived, nor should anyone else be deceived through you. Take note of the things written in God’s Word, not on things spoken by the people; always cross-check and verify all messages and teachings from the Word of God. If you have already been entangled in wrong teachings, then by cross-checking and verifying them from the Word of God, hold to only that which is the truth, follow it, and reject the rest.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord Jesus, then take a decision in its favor now to secure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. The Lord's security and blessings are present where there is obedience of the Lord, where His Word is honored and followed. If you are still not Born Again, have not obtained salvation, or have not asked the Lord Jesus for forgiveness for your sins, then you have the time and opportunity to do so right now. Ask the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins, and voluntarily and sincerely surrender yourselves into His hands - this is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. All you have to do is say a short prayer, voluntarily and with a sincere heart, with heartfelt repentance for your sins, and a fully submissive attitude. You can do this in this manner, “Lord Jesus, I confess that I have disobeyed You, and have knowingly or unknowingly, in mind, in thought, in attitude, and in deeds, committed sins. I believe that you have fully borne the punishment of my sins by your sacrifice on the cross, and have paid the full price of those sins for all eternity. Please forgive my sins, change my heart and mind towards you, and make me your disciple, take me with you." God longs for your company and wants to see you blessed, but to make this possible, is your personal decision. One prayer said with a sincere and surrendered heart will turn your present and future, your life here on earth and in the next world, forever and make you heavenly and blessed. Will you not say this prayer now, while you have the time and opportunity to do so? The decision is yours.
