परमेश्वर के वचन से उचित व्यवहार – 13
पिछले लेख में 1 कुरिन्थियों 4:6 में पौलुस द्वारा कही गई बात “लिखे हुए से आगे न बढ़ना” पर विचार करते हुए हमने यह देखा था कि, पौलुस और अपुल्लोस पवित्रशास्त्र के अच्छे ज्ञाता थे, उसकी समझ-बूझ रखते थे, पवित्रशास्त्र की व्याख्या एवं उससे प्रचार कर सकते थे। परन्तु उन्होंने अपनी सेवकाई के लिये यह निर्णय ले रखा था कि वे परमेश्वर द्वारा दिए गए प्रावधानों - उसका वचन, उसके द्वारा दी गई वचन की समझ, तथा परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा की आज्ञाकारिता में रहते हुए ही, जब और जहाँ परमेश्वर उन्हें उपयोग करना चाहेगा, पवित्र आत्मा के द्वारा उन्हें जो भी उपयुक्त सन्देश उपलब्ध करवाएगा, वे उसी के अनुसार प्रचार और सेवकाई करेंगे। आज हम पौलुस द्वारा कही गई इस बात को आगे देखेंगे, उसके व्यवहारिक उपयोग को देखेंगे।
हमने यह भी देखा था कि, प्रभु की पृथ्वी की सेवकाई और प्रारम्भिक कलीसिया के समय, उस समय के पवित्रशास्त्र, अर्थात्, हमारे वर्तमान पुराने नियम के अध्ययन के द्वारा वे उद्धार, और परमेश्वर के राज्य में प्रवेश करने के बारे में सीख सकते थे; क्योंकि सम्पूर्ण पवित्रशास्त्र प्रभु यीशु मसीह के बारे में बताता है। और अपने शिष्यों के लिए, प्रभु यीशु ने, पर्याप्त प्रावधान भी किए थे जिससे कि वे बिना किसी बात की कमी-घटी का अनुभव किये, परमेश्वर के उपयुक्त वचन का प्रचार कर सकें, शिक्षा दे सकें। हमारे लिए प्रेरित पतरस ने भी इस बात की पुष्टि 2 पतरस 1:3-4 में की है, यह कहने के द्वारा की, कि प्रभु यीशु मसीह की पहचान के द्वारा (जो केवल पवित्र शास्त्र को जानने तथा सीखने से ही हो सकता है), परमेश्वर ने हमें, अर्थात्, मसीही विश्वासियों को, सब कुछ जो जीवन और भक्ति से सम्बन्ध रखता है, तथा बुरी अभिलाषाओं के कारण होने वाली सँसार की सड़ाहट से छूटने, और ईश्वरीय स्वभाव के संभागी होने का मार्ग, पहले ही से दे रखा है।
इस प्रकार से, तब पौलुस और अपुल्लोस को जो कुछ भी चाहिए था, चाहे पवित्र शास्त्र से अथवा प्रभु से, और आज हमें जो कुछ भी चाहिए, सुसमाचार का प्रचार करने के लिए या परमेश्वर के गुप्त भेदो की बातें, या वचन में से कुछ और भी बताने और सिखाने के लिए, किसी भी प्रकार के श्रोताओं को संबोधित करने के लिए, वह पवित्र आत्मा के मार्गदर्शन तथा सामर्थ्य के द्वारा, परमेश्वर के वचन में हमारे लिए पहले से ही उपलब्ध करवा दिया गया है। पौलुस और अपुल्लोस की सेवकाई के समय यह उन्हें न केवल पुराने नियम में उपलब्ध था, बल्कि पवित्र आत्मा ने उनकी समझ को, उनकी सेवकाई में उन्हें सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए, परमेश्वर के वचन की गूढ़ और गुप्त बातों को समझने के लिए खोल दिया था। इसलिए, पौलुस इस बात से भली-भांति अवगत था कि, अपनी सेवकाई में प्रचार और शिक्षा देने के लिए, जो कुछ पवित्र शास्त्र में लिखा है, उसे उपलब्ध करवाया गया है, उसे उससे बाहर जाने की उसे कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है। लेकिन पवित्र आत्मा ने, भावी विश्वासियों के लिए इस बात को उस से लिखवा भी दिया, जिससे कि और लोग भी उससे तथा अपुल्लोस से यह सीखें कि अपनी सेवकाई में, परमेश्वर के वचन के प्रति अपने व्यवहार तथा उसका उपयोग करने में, सभी को 1 कुरिन्थियों 4:6 में पौलुस द्वारा कही गई बात “लिखे हुए से आगे न बढ़ना” का ध्यान रखना चाहिए।
वचन हमें यह भी बताता है कि सम्पूर्ण पवित्रशास्त्र पवित्र आत्मा की प्रेरणा से लिखा गया है और उसके विभिन्न प्रकार के उल्लेखित उपयोगों के द्वारा वह विश्वासियों को सिद्ध बनाता है (2 तीमुथियुस 3:15-17)। इसलिये, इस तथ्य, उपरोक्त तथ्यों, तथा पवित्रशास्त्र के अपने आप में पूर्ण, सिद्ध, और अपरिवर्तनीय होने के आधार पर यह बात प्रकट है कि वचन के प्रचार और शिक्षा में जो कुछ भी पहले से ही वचन लिखे गये के अतिरिक्त होगा, वह परमेश्वर पवित्र आत्मा से नहीं होगा। अर्थात्, वह परमेश्वर का वचन नहीं होगा, वरन् मनुष्यों द्वारा अपनी ही बुद्धि और समझ के अनुसार गढ़ा गया, शैतान की किसी युक्ति के अन्तर्गत लिखा गया होगा।
और हम 1 कुरिन्थियों 1:17 से यह भी देख चुके हैं कि परमेश्वर के वचन में मनुष्य की बुद्धि और समझ की मिलावट, क्रूस के सन्देश को और अधिक प्रभावी बनाने के स्थान पर, उसे व्यर्थ कर देती है। इसलिए, जैसे पवित्र आत्मा ने पौलुस के द्वारा कहा है, किसी को भी उद्धार, पाप क्षमा, अनन्त जीवन, और सच्ची भक्ति से संबंधित कुछ भी बताने और सिखाने के लिए, परमेश्वर के वचन से बाहर की किसी भी बात का सहारा लेने की कोई आवश्यकता अथवा विवशता नहीं है। बल्कि ऐसा करना बहुत हानिकारक है, क्योंकि यह शैतान की युक्तियों में फंसना और उनका निर्वाह करना है।
आने वाले लेखों में हम पौलुस के लेखों में से कुछ उदाहरणों को देखेंगे, कुछ बातों को जो “लिखे हुए से आगे न बढ़ना” का उल्लंघन थीं, और जिनका उपयोग अन्य लोग कर रहे थे किन्तु पौलुस बड़े ध्यान से जिन से बचकर रहता था।
यदि आपने प्रभु की शिष्यता को अभी तक स्वीकार नहीं किया है, तो अपने अनन्त जीवन और स्वर्गीय आशीषों को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए अभी प्रभु यीशु के पक्ष में अपना निर्णय कर लीजिए। जहाँ प्रभु की आज्ञाकारिता है, उसके वचन की बातों का आदर और पालन है, वहाँ प्रभु की आशीष और सुरक्षा भी है। स्वेच्छा से अपने पापों के लिये पश्चाताप करके, प्रभु यीशु से अपने पापों के लिए क्षमा माँगकर, स्वेच्छा से तथा सच्चे मन से अपने आप को उसकी अधीनता में समर्पित कर दीजिए - उद्धार और स्वर्गीय जीवन का यही एकमात्र मार्ग है। आपको स्वेच्छा और सच्चे मन से प्रभु यीशु मसीह से केवल एक छोटी प्रार्थना करनी है, और साथ ही अपना जीवन उसे पूर्णतः समर्पित करना है। आप यह प्रार्थना और समर्पण कुछ इस प्रकार से भी कर सकते हैं, “प्रभु यीशु, मैं अपने पापों के लिए पश्चातापी हूँ, उनके लिए आप से क्षमा माँगता हूँ। मैं आपका धन्यवाद करता हूँ कि आपने मेरे पापों की क्षमा और समाधान के लिए उन पापों को अपने ऊपर लिया, उनके कारण मेरे स्थान पर क्रूस की मृत्यु सही, गाड़े गए, और मेरे उद्धार के लिए आप तीसरे दिन जी भी उठे, और आज जीवित प्रभु परमेश्वर हैं। कृपया मुझे और मेरे पापों को क्षमा करें, मुझे अपनी शरण में लें, और मुझे अपना शिष्य बना लें। मैं अपना जीवन आप के हाथों में समर्पित करता हूँ।” सच्चे और समर्पित मन से की गई आपकी एक प्रार्थना आपके वर्तमान तथा भविष्य को, इस लोक के और परलोक के जीवन को, अनन्तकाल के लिए स्वर्गीय एवं आशीषित बना देगी।

Appropriately Handling God’s Word – 13
In considering the background to Paul’s statement “not to think beyond what is written” in 1 Corinthians 4:6), we had seen in the previous article, that both Paul and Apollos knew the Scriptures very well, had a good understanding about them, and could interpret them, preach from them. But they had resolved for their ministries that they would serve only through the provisions made by God - God’ Word, its understanding, and serving in obedience to God the Holy Spirit. Whenever and wherever God wanted to use them, they would preach only that message. Today we will look further into the practical application of Paul’s statement.
We had also seen that, at the time of the Lord’s earthly ministry and the time of the first Church, through studying the then Scriptures, i.e., the Old Testament for us today, they, were could learn about salvation, about entering into God’s Kingdom; since all of the Scriptures spoke of the Lord Jesus. And, for His disciples, the Lord Jesus had made adequate provisions, so that they could preach and teach without any kind of lack, the appropriate Word of God. The Apostle Peter has affirmed this further in 2 Peter 1:3-4, by saying that in the knowledge about the Lord Jesus (which could only be through knowing and learning the Scriptures), God has given to us – the Christian Believers, beforehand, everything that pertains to life and godliness, and also, the way to become partakers of the divine nature, and the way escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Hence everything Paul and Apollos required then, whether from the Scriptures or from the Lord, and we need now, to preach the gospel, or the mysteries of God, or anything else from the Word of God, to any kind of audience, through the help and under the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit, everything has already been made available to us by God in His Word. At the time of the ministry of Paul and Apollos, this was available to them not only from the Old Testament, but God the Holy Spirit had opened their understanding to the deeper and hidden meanings of the Scriptures; and, the Holy Spirit was also always in them to help them in their ministry. Therefore, Paul was well aware that there was no need for him to go beyond what has already been given in the Scriptures for his preaching and teaching, related to his ministry. But the Holy Spirit, also had him write it for posterity, that others should learn from him and Apollos that in their ministry, in their handling the Word of God, everyone should follow what Paul has said, “not to think beyond what is written” (1 Corinthians 4:6).
The Word also teaches us that the whole of Scriptures have been written through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and by utilizing it in the various mentioned ways, it makes the Christian Believers perfect (2 Timothy 3:15-17). Therefore, on the basis of this fact, the above mentioned facts, and the fact that God’s Word is complete, perfect, and unalterable, it is evident that in preaching and teaching God’s Word, if anything that is not already present in the Word is stated or used, then it cannot be from God the Holy Spirit. In other words, it will not be God’s Word; rather it will be something contrived by man’s own wisdom and understanding, written under some satanic ploy.
And earlier, we have seen from 1 Corinthians 1:17 that any addition or mixing of human wisdom and understanding in God’s Word, instead of making the message of the Cross more effective, only renders it vain. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit, through Paul has said, there is neither need nor necessity for anyone to use anything, or, to go beyond God’s Word in any manner, to teach and explain to anyone, anything, pertaining to salvation, forgiveness of sins, eternal life and true godliness. Rather, doing this will be very detrimental, since it will tantamount to getting entangled in satanic ploys and following them.
In the subsequent articles, we will see from Paul’s writings, some things that were “beyond what is written”, things that some others were using, but Paul diligently avoided.
If you have not yet accepted the discipleship of the Lord, make your decision in favor of the Lord Jesus now to ensure your eternal life and heavenly blessings. Where there is obedience to the Lord, where there is respect and obedience to His Word, there is also the blessing and protection of the Lord. Repenting of your sins, and asking the Lord Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, voluntarily and sincerely, surrendering yourself to Him - is the only way to salvation and heavenly life. You only have to say a short but sincere prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ willingly and with a penitent heart, and at the same time completely commit and submit your life to Him. You can also make this prayer and submission in words something like, “Lord Jesus, I am sorry for my sins and repent of them. I thank you for taking my sins upon yourself, paying for them through your life. Because of them you died on the cross in my place, were buried, and you rose again from the grave on the third day for my salvation, and today you are the living Lord God and have freely provided to me the forgiveness, and redemption from my sins, through faith in you. Please forgive my sins, take me under your care, and make me your disciple. I submit my life into your hands." Your one prayer from a sincere and committed heart will make your present and future life, in this world and in the hereafter, heavenly and blessed for eternity.
